✓ Excellent Chess TeacherWhile my experience with other Chess programs is hardly comprehensive, starting with Chessmaster back on my old IIGS to Battle Chess to an offering or two on iOS, nothing I’ve come across is as good at teaching how to play Chess as this. At every juncture, Tiger Chess Pro displays four strong lines of play and their likely consequences. The key to Chess is thinking beyond the present, and this is the first program that gets you thinking like a pro. ✗ Some features are not good at allThe « analyze my game » feature is really bad. It’ll say your move was bad when you played the best move, even the game engine whilst the analyze feature is running was suggesting that same « bad move » as the best move in the position. Take the coaching aspect of this with a grain of salt. Also never got updated since I purchased the game, years ago. Stockfish, on the other hand, has gotten from 3150 elo up to 3600 now. If you’re somewhat a « strong » player, this is nothing special..Version: 2019.06.1
✗ Nearly impossible to save gamesI’ve emailed them about this issue years ago. They said they’d fix and did nothing despite it being a really easy problem to fix. When I save a game the folders aren’t in alphabetical order so it takes an eternity to find where I want to save it to. Also “small fish” is free and the engine is far superior..Version: 2019.06.1
