✓ Best it has ever beenI make a living off editing, so I depend on a fast, reliable, flexible software suite like FCPX, Motion and Compressor. I’ve made over 400 deliverables from this in the past 2 years and I’ve covered all sorts of content, different shapes and sizes. With the last two major updates my last real wish list items (audio roles and better colour correciton) have been amply granted. No other system is as good value or as speedy. I really don’t have any crash problems either..Version: 10.4
✓ Proffessional Easy to useI have been using for years now and it is much easier to under stand than most other pro apps. The quality you can get out of FCP is superb and the support from apple is great. I recommend to you if your staring out or professional film maker/ videographer. I cant wait to use with the new M1 Mac's, as it is optimised for Mac, it should work even faster than ever before..Version: 10.5.2

✗ Better than iMovie but no Final Cut Pro!I had been looking forward to getting my hands on Final Cut Pro X since it was initially demoed at NAB. Although Apple describes it as "the biggest advance in Pro video editing since the original Final Cut Pro", it falls far short of this description. For every great new feature, there seems to be two missing. I'm not a pro editor by any means - I first used Final Cut Pro almost ten years ago back around version 2 or 3 for editing while I was at school and in more recent times I have used iMovie for a few videos made while traveling. Conscious of the features that went missing and were later reintroduced when iMovie went through a similar transition and initial feedback from pros, I went ahead and bought Final Cut Pro X figuring that a few studio features that aren't typically used by consumers/prosumers and some legacy support might be missing, but for the most part it would still be the same Final Cut Pro I remembered. Unfortunately this was a poor assumption to make - even basic controls, for example clip motion controls, from the older versions of Final Cut Pro are missing or significantly restricted. Customisation is very limited, it seems to have trouble importing some of my iMovie projects (for the time being I'm going to leave them in iMovie) and it seems to be targeted more at consumers than pros (although more technically minded consumers will find certain holes in the feature set frustrating). In summary, Final Cut Pro X should really be called Final Cut Express X. It is a great upgrade for iMovie users with no experience or preconcieved ideas about how Final Cut Pro should work. However, if you are a professional editor or have used and like Final Cut Pro in its traditional sense, it would make sense to wait and see how the product evolves..Version: 10.0
✗ Full Time YouTuber? Do NOT "Upgarde" to 10.5.1It seems to only "upgrade" on version 10.5.1 on Final Cut is to take away the feature that allows users to directly upload to Youtube. This feature was the main reason for many Youtubers to edit with Final Cut, as it would save time on space to upload directly. Apple took this feature away, with no explination. This seems to be the ONLY feature Apple "upgraded" in 10.5.1..Version: 10.5.1
