Amazing but could add some thingsThis new update is amazing and I love it! You guys must’ve been working very hard on it and your work has paid off because everyone I’ve shown the new update to is getting procreate😃! Though the update is awesome there are some things that aren’t working or could be added in a future update. 1) my “recent colours” isn’t working even though I have seen other people with it. It would be really helpful so that I don’t always have to use the eye dropper and it would be very useful for some new brushes I might be buying to import into procreate were the colour will come out darker then what is should as that is the brushes nature. 2) I think it would be a good idea to add some sort of way to move the background on animation assist and add a new background when animating because now if I want the background to change/move I have to keep drawing and moving it on the layers which can get tiring. 3) maybe with the water colour brushes, they could have a water animation and bleed kinda thing like in other apps but they are to expensive and don’t have as many features as this one so it would be awesome for them to be more realistic. Other then those three things this app is the best! Thank you for working hard on the update as it is the best update and now I love procreate even more. Thank you 😁.Version: 5.0

Great, but…Often feels incomplete. The animation tool and color fill are the biggest of my grievances. There is, as far as I can tell, no erase fill whatsoever. I’ve heard about workarounds but those are significantly more frustrating than just allowing me to quickly erase a large*, monocolored area. The color fill also often bugs out on me, refusing to allow me to adjust threshold or just outright not filling. Overall, colordrop is significantly more frustrating to use than the standard bucket tool most other art apps have. I understand you guys are going for minimalism (an admiral endeavor, as most other professional art apps of this quality have very overwhelming UIs) but the addition of a proper bucket tool would make the application less overwhelming, not more. As for the animation tool, it is very difficult to create properly colored animations without toggling it on and off repeatedly, coloring my lineart, shading if so desired, merging all those layers together (making the completed image significantly harder to edit in the process) and then moving to the next frame and repeating the process. I do understand you guys are, first and foremost, a drawing software, not an animation software, but an overhaul to the animation feature allowing multiple layers per frame (perhaps each frame could be a layer group?) would easily boost my review up to 5 stars..Version: 5.3.5

Great!, but..This app is amazing, and its the only drawing app i use currently. There are only a few things that i’m not sure about. One, when you first download the app, everything is incredibly confusing. I didn’t know how to lasso, to bucket fill, or how to change the opacity of layers, but thats nothing a quick email to the (very nice) support cant fix. I just wish it was more guided on how to use things. Two, the brushes arent all that flexible to work with, excluding the lineart, sketching, airbrushing, and a few others. Some of them just look lazy and weird. There is a wide variety of brushes in different categories, but i still feel like there could be more to make it feel complete. Third, i feel like making custom brushes could be easier. Its just so hard to learn how to make them, and tbh, i still don’t know how. I also wish that you could make accounts so that if you loose your device or break it you could have all your progress saved. Otherwise, i think this app is amazing, and if you can afford it, its definitely worth every penny once you get the hang of it. Just don’t feel afraid to the email support for help!.Version: 5.2.6

Amazing app, but...So I have used this app for about a month and I’m really impressed with it, and I would really recommend this to anyone who wants to do any kind of digital art. However I started to notice a problem that occurred just recently for me. It’s hard to describe but I was colouring in with a pen in a dark saturation. But then I keep colouring in and a few seconds in the colour switches to a lighter saturation for some reason. Another problem, although a minor one, is that whenever I try to fill in my lineart with colour using the drag and drop function, it always covers the entire page when I only want to fill in a particular part of my lineart that is closed off and has no open gaps. I would love to continue using this app as I really like using it but these problems are quite annoying and I can’t find a solution to them. I restart the app and the problem still occurs so if anyone knows how to fix any of these problems I would very much appreciate it. Thanks..Version: 5.1.5

Color pallet picking optionCan you change the way to pick a color palette? Everytime i want to change to another palette, i will end up having to add new color to the palette in order to pick it, if i tap on the bar thats the under the name of the palette, i ll end up having the changing palette name option pop up which is annoying. Like please add a tick box or something so we can tap on it to choose palette, or maybe change the function? Like on tab for choosing palette and double tap on the name to change the name? Would make so much more sense.Version: 5.2.6

New taper or auto shape update messed up brush behaviorThis is my all time favourite app, but now I’m finding it frustrating to use because the new features have effected the brush dynamics. The strokes used to be clean and intuitive for most brushes. Now there are spacing issues you have to adjust manually for a consistent stroke and the airbrushes are behaving like the gross ink brushes which seem to follow your pen around in a weird organic way, as if alive, rather than tapering off nicely so you can blend properly. I use this for work and these setbacks slow everything down. If it ain’t broke don’t fix it. Please do something about the brush issues. I was so keen for tapering updates but this update hasn’t resolved any tapering issues for concept artists, just made it more vector friendly for graphic designers. Sigh..Version: 4.2

Experiencing a bug & can’t find helpI’ve been using Procreate for a while now and it’s been an amazing art program, I’d definitely recommend it for both beginners and pros alike. The issue I’m having is that whenever I try to delete an artwork, it never actual ‘deletes’. Instead it turns into a transparent version of the canvas which takes up space, as opposed to disappearing entirely. (To be more specific, I’m selecting them and then deleting them, not just deleting the drawing layers or anything like that. I’m trying to delete the whole canvas.) I haven’t figured out a way to delete them properly yet, and while I’ve looked at the Procreate help forums and various guides, I can’t find anyone having a similar problem. I would have reported this in one of said forums but I can’t remember my account login details and it’s not recognising any of my usual emails/usernames..Version: 4.3.5

Senior lecturer in Fine art, graphics, illustration and concept art for gamesPart of my role as a senior university lecturer in fine art, graphics, illustration and concept art for games involves introducing students to digital technology. It is a source of great pleasure to see students especially those reticent to move away from traditional mediums and process’s fully embrace their iPads and apple pencils. Without Procreate this adopting of new technologies and approaches to making Art was much more difficult but because of the way the program is designed it’s now as easy as giving candy to a baby. How do other developers get it so wrong when Procreate gets it so right? I shall continue to enthusiastically evangelise for Procreate and suspect that the version 5 with its animation element will enhance my professional and personal art practice. Thanks for providing the next generation with software that seems to be designed by artists for artists. Brilliant..Version: 4.3.9

You can’t directly export your art into your camera rollThis app is amazing, everything about it is incredible and well designed, except that you can’t directly export your art into your camera roll... you have to go through a big process of exporting it to your files and then find a way to get it into your camera roll.. screenshot it is literally the only fast option, but it lowers the quality of the image! Please consider making this an option and then the app would be just all round amazing.Version: 4.2.5

Amazing appI got this app a couple of months ago and it was hands down one of the best purchases I have made. It only took a couple days to get used too the only thing is when exported a picture I don’t know how to get rid of the background so I need to put it into another app then put it into procreate I feel like you can get rid of the background but I don’t know but other then that amazing app.Version: 5.1.5

I FINALLLY see what the hype was about😊👌🏿🌌🌟I’m always seeing shorts made from this app and I’m like-“don’t tell me this is all it’s good for.” BUUUUT, now I’m using it daily and it helps me make my Webtoon, it helps me make my character sheets (and shorts) and it’s actually… not actually just straight up best. A con of the app? I think the only thing that annoys me is that the canvas size determines how many layers u have. On Ibas paint, I could have up to 200 layers on a big canvas and it wouldn’t care. Sure, maybe lag every now and again, but I have a generally laggy tablet. I would like to have more than 2 layers on a character sheet, or more than 7 for my Webtoon. The app overall is still really great and the amount of brushes overloaded MY system. I’m gonna say right here I’ve never left a long review before this, but this app deserves one. It’s so perfect in a lot of ways, but like anything, it has cons. Either way, no matter what ur doing, this app helps and I say this from a comic designer, a shorts maker, and a devoted artist. I hope you like this app 😊 like, kudos to the developers 🙌👏 KUDOS 2 U- I mean, a app that you can make it look like a REAL PAINTING or like those trends you always see, I mean CMON THATS A STEAL! Sometimes I think that “huh…did I waste 13 bucks?” But I’m also saying “NAH MAN, THIS APP IS WORTH IT!”.Version: 5.3.7

Amazing App But...Procreate is a amazing app with plenty of different brushes, layer and plenty more other function. I’ve been using procreate for about a year now and I’m really enjoying the tools being at the tip of my apple pencil. The fact that you can also animate and make animatics is really cool, it really got me into animating. Also it’s really handy because when you want a nice line or shape, you don’t really have to bring a tool out (ruler, shape stencil ect...). The ability of pre-recording a time-lapse of your progress or the lines you did is really nice, it is really handy for tutorials or for reflecting of your art and how you can improve. But there are two thing that really annoys me is the fact that whenever you exit the drawing and you re-enter it you lose all power of undoing what you did before exiting the artwork and that audio cannot be recorded on procreate. Overall, I think this app is totally worth your money and it will help you further explore into the amazingness of the digital art world. P.S: I really like the animation function, It’s really nice and makes animating a lot easier but when I animate I usually do lip syncing so I would really like it if a audio function was added it would really just make making animations on procreate a whole different experience. - Anonymous 12 year old kid.Version: 5.1.2

It’s great! But. (Idk if this will send)I love the app so much! It’s such a great drawing app and I couldn’t be happier! Though I dislike the limited layers, whenever I try ti do big pieces of artwork or even animations, it’s always so annoying and then I have many same drawing projects bevause I have to duplicate them to add new things. Another thing with the animation, it could be very nice if there was a sound guide so you could put audio on your animation. Also the new thing about hiding layers in speed painting thing is really not it. People could easily hide the fact that they traced art, and artists uses speed paints as a way to show that they originally did it, but with this option, it’s much harder to prove that it’s your art, I personally have issues with this, because I’m scared that if I ever show my art, that someone will trace it and take all the credit. Other than these things, the app is amazing! And I’ll keep using it!.Version: 5.3.5

Amazing AppI’ve used and still continue to use this app for multiple different art pieces; so easy and simple to work with, one of the best apps I think I have ever utilised. A variety of different brushes, pencils, pens and etc to draw with (You can even create custom brushes if necessary.) I would definitely recommend this app to any digital artist that needs to get art pieces done as it does the job quickly and with great quality..Version: 4.3.4

A Very polished app and a must have. This app is simple easy to use but still has all the features you would expect in a professional drawing software (which I believe this is) it also has some innovative features. I would recommend this app to anyone who loves to draw..Version: 4.3.3

Incredible. Great value for money! This app is fantastic for professional artists AND aspiring artists wanting to learn drawing digitally. It’s very easy to use and once you learn what different effects do, you’ll have good fun with experimenting with what’s possible. There are thousands of free downloadable brushes you can import online and it’s kept up to date with new features such as adding text, 3D models and animation. All for a one off payment of £10? You truly get your money’s worth and more. It’s seriously worth every penny! The best art app for iOS by far. It’s great for those who like me, can’t afford other subscription based drawing programmes. It’s my go-to for digital art. I bought this for University and it hasn’t let me down. I’ve been able to create some amazing professional pieces for my projects. Can’t fault it at all. Great work guys ❤️ (It’s also fab when paired with a Paperlike screen protector for iPad if you don’t like the Apple Pencil sliding across the screen, really feels like you’re drawing on paper. Just take care of your pencil nibs as they can wear down quicker with it.).Version: 5.2.5

Unresponsive on iOS 16.1After update to 16.1, the app becomes very unresponsive. Apple pencil can’t be used on certain part of the canvas, and it’s very random. I’m on a M2 ipad..Version: 5.2.9

Really good, and worth your money-UpdatedI don't generally write reviews but I've been using this app for almost a year now, and though it doesn't have all those qualities a computer might have this is pretty good. It's not the hard to use and allows me to do simple things that help everything. From being able to slide the size and opacity meter. To actually having a laso tool, and creating folders as well as your own canvas size. I also great enjoy the future of importing brushes people have made. I was able to get some good brushes to use. Overall 7 dollars for this app really grants a lot. I was also very surprised on how many layers I could open depending the size of that canvas. Overall it's really good. Edit: Okay with the brand new update, I absolutely love it. This app is honestly amazing, the only thing that bugs me or that could be improved is being able to pictures outside of the canvas. Meaning I would be able to bring in reference photos and place them outside of the canvas. That way my drawing won’t be interrupted. Aside from that, I’ve had this app for almost 2 years and I am still not even close to disappointed. :).Version: 4.1.3

Intuitive, efficient, and effectiveI’ve been doing art commissions for a while now, I used to use Sketchbook Pro on a Windows 10 tablet PC, but was eventually forced to upgrade due to a broken machine. I decided on an iPad Pro, and Procreate had already been on my radar for quite some time. The UI is deceptively simple, Procreate is very powerful and extensive in it’s tools and gestures. Going through the handbook is simple to understand, and you will be flying with your work compared to other software designed for illustration, taking only a few days to get used to it despite having used Sketchbook for years. I find it difficult to imagine a better digital illustrator’s experience than Procreate on an iPad Pro with the Apple Pencil. Before I just sound like I’m just trying to sell a product, I truly believe every word I say; the iPad Pro may not be best tool for workflows that incorporate 3D software such a blender, or extensive post production of illustrations, but from a purely digital illustration point of view, I really don’t think there is currently a better product right now. This software truly is made for the hardware, and I greatly enjoy working with it. At £10, it’s an absolute no-brainer. Fantastically worth it..Version: 5.0.4

Really great app, but!Can you devs please add curved text and also incorporate something like a sizeable border/frame that can wrap around text and drawings to make them more bold? Because we all have to use automatic lasso, then 3% the feather tool to be able to create a border around drawings/text and then duplicate that layer 100 times then merge them all together. In the end all the feathered layers create a very distorted/jagged edge then we have to go on erasing the sides to create cleaner lines and corners. I’d appreciate it so much if you could put that in the next update, I’ll give you $1000!.Version: 5.3.4

Absolutely amazing! Would 100% recommend if you’re thinking about buying.I’ve been using this app for almost a year now (could’ve probably wrote a review earlier) and oh can I tell you, Procreate is definitely worth buying! After buying it I got really scared thinking that it could only be a subscription, but then I figured out the magnificent truth. Fifteen dollars is so worth it. This app is great for every kind of art, whether it be cartoonish or realistic, it’s easy to do it on Procreate. Me, being a guy more into realism, really appreciates all the brushes. Also love the animation feature that was added. I’m an animator and love doing both drawing the frames for an animation and taking photos for the frames. They’re both fun ways to animate, great ways to take up time and now I don’t have to annoy everyone else by trying to animate physical objects. “You’re messing up the lighting.” “You’re in the frame.” I’d say, but now I don’t have to. And I would like it if you added an audio feature. Taking the frames and putting them in my stop motion animation software then adding the audio can be frustrating sometimes. Anyway I’m really appreciative to the developers of this app, glad I found it and bought it..Version: 5.0.8

Amazing app! This is a really great app that can give professional results with ease. The only things stopping it from being 5 star is that there are some clunky design choices. If you accidentally merge a hidden layer with a visible one, don’t expect to see it again, that’s right it’s gets deleted! For such a destructive action you’d expect there to be a warning message or simply never allow a hidden layer to be merged or deleted (there is NO scenario when someone would want to do this anyway!) You can hit undo of course BUT.... It’s also too easy to accidentally hit the button that returns you to the gallery view and this wipes any ‘undo’ memory so if you accidentally hit exit after you do something bad like, I don’t know merge with a hidden layer, you will not be able to undo it, so potentially, you can lose months of work in an instant. These two actions are too easy to do and are devastatingly destructive and has caused me lose hours of work, so I really hope this gets fixed soon so I can stop living in fear of accidentally losing months of work. More customisations would help too. Despite all this, I highly recommend..Version: 5.0.7

Very niceOnce i understood how to use it, I found out it is so much fun! It is simple to understand and easy to learn. My friend has procreate dreams but I dunno how to use it. I prefer the simple standard version because it can do so much. It suggest getting it because getting used to it is very simple and easy..Version: 5.3.7

Regarding the colour match problem.Dear Procreate, I have one problem to address which is the colour match button (which is in the middle of the brush size and opacity bar) it has stopped working unfortunately. And it bugs me allot. If you still do not know what I am talking about I am trying to say that the button which matches any colour on your artwork instead of finding it on the colour disc has stopped working. If I am doing something wrong please let me know as soon as possible. This issue has been going on for a few days now, I have tried updating it but it says that this app does not need any updating. Please also let me know if you have moved the colour matcher somewhere else on Procreate. Other than that, this app is really entertaining and I have made many artworks that I am proud of. Please fix this problem and reply as soon as you can. Your Procreate user..Version: 5.1.4

I love the app so much but three things I wanna just point outI love using to app so much and I use it about 5 times a day, sometimes even doing animation. But we can only have 75 layers/frames, it makes it very hard to animate. Second, when I need to copy one part of my drawing, when I select it after coping it just changes the size and not where it goes, it gets real,y annoying. Lastly, I’ve been having issues with being able to see some of my art. It says it might be corrupted. And most of the art I’m very proud of and then I can’t see it. And after a few days it deletes its self. I don’t know if it’s because of my low storage but it’s worrying me. Thanks.Version: 5.2.4

An app for the ages!!!Every few years, new ideas and technological innovations and advancements come along that disrupt and change the way we perceive what is possible within the world we live in as well as continue to push the boundaries and limitations of the human mind. When Procreate was first launched on iOS in March of 2011, no one could have anticipated, let alone fathomed the huge success and beast of an app that it has become. Procreate continues to evolve and elevate in ways thought “impossible” before it made its debut on the AppStore and has not only consistently and easily kept up with other big name art software, it has undoubtedly become a leading competitor and top dog in the industry. Procreate is intuitive and very accommodating for professionals as well as the everyday artist and its UI is crisp and orderly, allowing anyone of any age to comfortably create. Now, Procreate has changed the game once again with its 5.2 release and the addition of 3d features, as well as a myriad of other jam-packed tools that will surely enhance the User experience. In closing, Procreate is an art app I would highly recommend to anyone and in a world where the competition is fierce, you have to learn to adapt and like the company behind the creation of Procreate, you have to remain SAVAGE!.Version: 5.2.1

Great app, please fix a couple of bugsI’ve produced some awesome art with this app, and I love using it. To make it better: When I select and duplicate, if I rotate or flip the selected layer it loses clarity, a smudged or out of focus effect. Can this be fixed? I have lost a significant amount of work though this bug: if you make a mistake you can press “undo” and your mistake is erased. If however you go back to gallery view, all your previous “undos” are erased - no fixing any mistakes, no going back. Can the recent changes be stored - or a warning that changes can’t be undone when going to gallery view?.Version: 4.3.3

I love itSo this app is amazing yes it’s 10 pound but it’s worth it you don’t have to pay again and all brushes are there no more money needed one thing I would say is maybe for new users do a tutorial and if you could have face or different templates for it if you’re thinking of getting it get it also I use it for tracing so if you could make something where the image can’t move that would be great 😊 edit: I thought of a good idea for the app that you might want to consider maybe you could create a account so that you can choose some of your artworks to share with the Procreate community because some people create master pieces but never get to share them . If you take this idea on board can you please make sure you have to select the picture you want though thanks Edit 2 : I’ve had Procreate for a lot longer now and know how to use it and still love the app however I’ve come across a problem recently with importing photos , it makes the photos incredibly pixelated I was doing a project for school making a collage on the app and all my photos where pixilated if there is a way you or I could fix this problem please tell me but other than that I love the app ..Version: 5.2.6

Accessibility questions and concernsThis is a very good app! It's probably one of the best digital art apps on the iOS market, but I have a few extremely minor complaints/suggestions for how you could improve. Can you please add a feature where you're able to change the layout of the program based on which version you prefer? I have no idea when the last time I updated Procreate was, but I had the version where there wasn't a menu for arcs, and you could just pick and choose whether you wanted a line, quadrilateral, circle, etc. without making two clicks to go into a menu. I haven't seen any other apps do this, so I think this would be a very interesting and revolutionary thing to do, and it would be really helpful because a lot of people have a hard time adjusting to updates and just want to have all the patches that come with an update without having to deal with new layouts or dramatic changes from what they're used to. I'm super into this app, and I use it all the time for art and animation, so I'm willing to adjust to the changes, but I'm just throwing this out there as a suggestion because it would really help me and a lot of other people because I've been in a lot of digital art classes, and I CONSTANTLY hear people complaining about software updates and how it changes the layout and makes it difficult for them to use 😂😂😂.Version: 5.3.7

Great app only a few requests!Really fantastic app I have come from a laptop + drawing tablet and feel so much more free to do what I want with the ipad and Procreate. Doing mainly architecture drawings I feel like the perspective tool is fantastic and a great help for shading, and the range of brushes let me do most things I require. Little pains with the program have been the ability to import photoshop brushes I have a few nice promarker brushes I can’t import( not sure if I’ve just not researched enough to get it to work though) and a mass colour select ( just like select colour range in photoshop), but the selections are good just a little slower. Honing on the selections I still haven’t found a way to mass fill a selection in an already coloured mask to add to the mask quickly. Really small issues to be honest but if they were fixed it would be a perfect app to render with. If I’m being really cheeky some vector brushes would be fantastic but one can always dream. Fantastic works 9/10 am still unsure if I’m just not using the app properly and need to do more research to find all the tools I need..Version: 5.0.1

Highly recommend, but…I’ve owned this app for about two years now, and I can assure you that you’ll get your money’s worth! It has a variety of brushes to use and there’s a lot of tools to enhance your artworks! It’s really helped me develop my art, and I’m really glad that I chose to get this app. Although I think this app is great, it does have a few downsides. When you delete an artwork you can’t get it back. Yesterday I accidentally deleted a sketch which I thought I didn’t need - Just after did I realise that I had about 14hrs worth of doodles hidden in the layers. I tried searching everywhere on how to recover it, but I found out that there isn’t a way to get it back. It was really unfortunate and I hope the developers are able to do something about it. Maybe make a recently deleted folder? This one isn’t as important, but it would be nice to be able to make stacks inside of stacks, to make it more organised. Other than that, it’s a really great app and I’d definitely recommend it to digital artists..Version: 5.3.5

Great but with flawsI’ve used Procreate for well over a year now for my business and my degree. It’s a powerful app with a sleek little design, and after 10 years as a digital artist Procreate is the best program for sketching, brushes and overall function by far. It’s easy to use, great for beginners through to experts, incredibly cost effective and I recommend to every artist who has an iPad! However it has 3 major flaws that are worth docking a star: Firstly the fill tool, I like the feature where it changes the colour, but honestly there needs to be an easier way to change it to a “regular fill” and please allow us to fill while referring to multiple layers, I’ve been colouring things in manually for a year now, it’s pretty bad. Secondly the transform tool, when sizing objects up or down, loses a lot of information when compared with it’s competitors like CSP. But mainly I’m here to talk about number three, the “stacks” feature. When you have hundreds of documents the stacks feature is vital. And the visuals of it really blend in with everything else when there’s so much. Just adding a folder motif to the image of the stack would really tidy it up. Also please let us put stacks inside of stacks, I would stack literally everything!! Thank you!.Version: 5.2.1

Amazing App But One ProblemI love how versatile Procreate is. While it is a drawing app, I also use it to edit photos and collage images. I have switched from the Adobe apps to Procreate, and it is the best decision I have made - totally worth the £9.99 investment! There are so many more brushes to choose from and I no longer feel the need to download more. It is clean and easy to use. I don’t have much to fault with this app. The only thing I would really like changed is to have the brush settings saved per project. This is a feature I had on my old drawing software and it’s so useful. I hate going back to an old drawing that I never finished and seeing that my brush colour, size or opacity has changed to match my most recent project. It’s so hard to think back to months ago and remember what brush you were last using and what size or opacity you used. It then becomes a lengthy process of trial and error until you get it right. If there is a fix for this, I would really appreciate it, as would many artists!.Version: 4.3.9

Great Value - Essential App to BuyProcreate is an amazing app. The new version 5 makes it even better. The interface is still beautifully simple, but it really is silky smooth. Honestly, Apple should ask Savage what algorithms they are using to create the 6B Pencil, because it is miles better than the version that Apple created (no doubt with a considerably bigger team than Savages!) It flows just right. It feels lovely to use. It is much nicer than the Apple Notes pencil. (I really wish that some of the notetaking apps like GoodNotes had access to it!) I mention this, because for simply drawing, even if you don’t make use of most of the features, it is immense. It is also amazing value. It costs £9.99 and they gave this (massive) update from version 4 to 5 free to existing users. Which now has a ton more features. In comparison Photoshop for Ipad is a joke. Adobe conned people by claiming to be developing ‘full’ Photoshop in the keynote in Nov 2018 (and showed an image with about 80 layers on an IPad Pro to reinforce the fiction) and then after a whole further year of development put out a garbage release in Nov 2019 that does virtually nothing, and that they want you to pay more for EVERY MONTH then Savage charges as a one-off payment for Procreate. Crazy! Massive thanks Guys. This is an ESSENTIAL purchase for everyone who owns an IPad Pro and an Apple Pencil. It is EPIC and deserves all the success it will no doubt continue to have..Version: 5.0

GreatWorks great.Version: 5.3.7

Amazing!!I have been using procreate for 2 years now and my drawing skills have really been improving. Thank you for making awesome features in procreate like animation assist, clone and much much more. I will be waiting excitedly for new updates. The first time I heard about procreate is when one of my mum’s friend brang over her iPad pro and her apple pencil to my place. She let me try it out and teached me all of these amazing tips snd tricks. I thought it was amazing. I believed it was better than the other painting app I used to draw with. So now believe it or not, I got my own iPad pro with an apple pencil 2!! I am literally obsessed with procreate. It is my favourite drawing app. Even though I am only 7yrs old right now I know how to animate draw cartoon and even trace over photos!! Thank you for making procreate and I think my dream of being a cartoonist\artist will come true!!.Version: 5.1.5

It needs somethingSee this is a great great app but theres 2 things you need first thing you need is camera movement so theres like a camera option so we can make the camera move zoom in or get bigger and an option to duplicate frames faster EDIT: also this should be easy to make can you plz make an animation assist option so when you create a new frame it stays the same as the frame before so we don’t have to keep on duplicateing and copy and pasteing alotta stuff (plz put both of these things in the next update if you do it will be the best)edit:also there should be a movieclip option when we can export animations into animations say that your tryna animate an explosion you animate it and then make an animation with explosions and don’t want to animate it again so there should be an option for when you doing animations in options put in whatever category and then it should say make a movieclip and then in animation assist you should be able to press a button that says add movieclip and then we can press it and then we could move it make it bigger and make it smaller (also)we need a audio option we can speak in something and the audio will be under the keyframes and we can follow the sound and we can import music or audio from file so that would be good thank you bye.Version: 5.1.5

Amazing!!I love this app it’s so easy to draw with I’ve been using it for about a month and I’ve compared it to other apps this is by far the best iPad art app this makes people who aren’t great at drawing amazing like I’m not that good myself at least not for detailed drawing but this made it easy I admit there are some bugs and some MAJOR bugs but the last update really helped and even with the bugs it’s the best iPad art app out there if ur a pro artist or literally anyone use this app I use it to make iPad backgrounds and they look like professional portraits (not trying to brag) a slight suggestion is when using the light brush or pen use the darkest color possible without it being black otherwise blue yellow green orange red pink purple they all come out white it’s so amazing how easy it is to use when I first found the app what really sold me was Discount_Draculas comment LOL Anyway if you don’t know how to creat a new canvas or something press the plus sign and the rest is easy enjoy creating OMG i made something and I had to delete it cause it kept saying it had a virus or somthing and the app started being weird once I deleted it it was just fine this is an edit so just a warning to all users and future users take a screenshot of you’re artwork so that if that happens you can simply go to photos and put the screenshot of you’re artwork in you’re gallery!.Version: 5.2.7

Please… the triangleAmazing, amazing app. i love the procreate team sm. but i wish there were an option to use a triangle color picker. being able to see the relationship between value and chroma automatically would be unbelievably helpful. it’s frustrating that there isn’t a way to desaturate a color without changing its value. and even the HSB adjustment feature doesn’t seem to do it accurately, the values end up different to how they would appear if i set my device to grayscale without adjusting..Version: 5.3.2

Amazing AppThis helps me to practice crying and the way you can just hold your circles and overalls, and whatever shape that it makes a straight line is like a Street Circle Street or hold out perfectly and it’s just awesome.Version: 5.3.7

Animation?Ok I can’t say how AMAZING this app is, I have no words on describing the detail and how smooth everything on it is! I have a suggestion that maybe a future option but if Procreate allowed animation, my head would EXPLODE literally, when I first found this app suggested by a friend I was mind blown, gosh I imagined what it would be with animating features! I would even buy it again for the animation add on! Unfortunately it doesn’t have it but I’m here to just say for the most of us users that a animation feature would be an over the top accent to add in the app! Thank you so much for creating it I’ve been there since a portion of the begging and no matter what this app is a winner for me! I hope one day animation will be added but until then, my head is still attached to my body 😂.Version: 4.3.1

I LOVE this appProcreate is my main reason for having an iPad Pro. Having a mobile pro-level drawing app has motivated me to pick up drawing again and I’ve never drawn this much, because now I can do it on the couch or on the go without being tied to my desk. I started using Procreate five years ago, and the developers have steadily added more and more amazing features and I’m really excited to see what they’re going to release next. They’re also active on their forums, so it’s great to see that they actually focus their resources on the things users request most (if only they weren’t so dang secretive about upcoming releases.....). The price is insanely fair too, so anyone who’s even remotely interested in drawing shouldn’t even think twice about getting this app..Version: 5.0.8

The reason I bought an iPad.I’ve been using Procreate for years and it keeps getting better and better with each iteration. The price has remained incredibly reasonable over this time and it’s brilliant that the developers have kept it as a single purchase price. The temptation to go to a subscription model, both financially and by Apple must be great. What you get for, currently (2019) £10, is incredible. I’ll not go into detail about the range of creative possibilities but they are wide and the apps functionality is largely well thought through and user friendly, as it’s designed for the iPad and not an evolution of a desktop app. There are rarely issues with bugs and the team really do a great job of sorting issues out as quickly as they can. There is a great community around the app as well and much support for the developers. Basically, this app, for creative designers, illustrators, and painters (and more recently, animators) is a reason to buy the iPad, (even the more affordable models), and Apple are very lucky to have it on their platform..Version: 4.3.8

⭕️⭕️⭕️⭕️⭕️⭕️⭕️⭕️⭕️Amazing, but a few faults⭕️⭕️⭕️⭕️⭕️⭕️⭕️⭕️⭕️This app is amazing, and a bit cheap for what it offers, but it’s incredible. But there is a fault or two that I’ll explain. The first is colour. I try to recreate a colour that I want using the syringe tool, but it still gives me a completely different colour. This is quite irritating, and makes it hard to draw. If a developer could possibly explain what I’m doing wrong, or if it’s a setting I need to change, please explain. Another thing, is the size. Even 10% size is incredible large, and in really don’t understand why 100% is needed if it takes up the whole page. Otherwise, incredible app, I do recommend, though it is still quite difficult for people like me who are only getting started, so I recommend a simpler app to begin with before moving onto procreate..Version: 5.3.5

Use it every day!!Amazing practical extremely diverse application. I would highly recommend it to anyone who loves to draw!! I have had some pretty show stopping issues in the last couple of weeks though. My iPad has been intermittently failing to respond to touch input (mostly hand not Apple Pencil). I have disabled palm support as we read that your (superior) palm support fights apples in the latest iOS update, but it hasn’t helped. I’m at a loss and finding myself very frustrated. I ran a factory reset also, this didn’t fix it either although it seems to be happening with less frequency. Any suggestions to fix it or an idea on when this might be fixed through an update would be awesome. Workflow has been a lot slower since this started happening..Version: 4.0.10

Just WonderfulI only learned about Procreate through my cousin, and at first I was confused with all the different and various tools I could use for the app. But after a while and browsing to learn new techniques as well as usage of the tools, I fell in love with this app. I will be honest, I always spend at least 30 minutes on it everyday! Whether it’s simple doodling, or excessive and advance arts, I run to Procreate for any digital art. 👏 One thing I would suggest you procreate developers add in the future is re-color filling a shape without affecting the WHOLE layer. It sometimes gets annoying, although that feels like a little too much of an exaggeration. What I’m saying is, just improve that little bug issue, or please tell me how to use it properly if I’m not doing so. Anyhow, I would rate this app like a 11 out of 5 if thats was a choice, but it isn’t, so giving it a 5 star for now! Thank you for this stupendous app and I definitely feel that it was real worth it to buy it for $9.99!! Thank you so much Procreate Developers!! You really opened up a HUGE door to the world of Digital Art!! ❤️.Version: 5.3.4

AMAZINGThis app is a amazing colouring/drawing app. 😁🖌🖊🖋🖍✏️✒️.Version: 5.1.5

Perfect Artist’s CompanionFlawless masterpiece of an art app. You can do just about anything in just about any style. All it needs is more text options, text box wise. Custom text boxes and so on. Other than that, it’s amazing. Couldn’t imagine using any other drawing app..Version: 5.3.4

Love itAmazing app overall, I’ve been using it almost exactly a year and it truly is amazing. The only thing stopping me giving 5 stars is the latest update. The line selection tool (little squiggle on the toolbar) is no longer recognising my ipencil. It still works perfectly everywhere else on the app, but it’s a pain to lose that freehand selection unless I go back to using fingers instead of the pencil. I’ve changed the nib, fully charged it, reset the iPad and checked the pencil settings and Procreate settings etc, all the obvious things except for deleting and reinstalling the app because I’m worried I’ll lose all my works. Absolutely minor issue but if it could be fixed it would be 5 stars all the way - or alternatively if it’s an issue with my pencil, I’m not sure as it only started with the most recent update, any ideas on how to troubleshoot this issue would be much appreciated! Other than this I’m absolutely blown away by the quality of this app and everything it offers, a literal must have for any artist! Update: thanks for replying! It is all back in working order now, I really appreciate the help!.Version: 5.3.3

Waa I love this so much!!I’ve been using this app for ages, but I’ve just recently gotten way more into art, and honestly I love the app so much! It’s helped my art improve in so many ways, both on paper and on my iPad! The app I used to use for drawing had a really glitchy fill bucket option which is honestly why I chose to change apps. I was ecstatic when I tried the fill option for procreate, as it’s smooth and much easier to control! The lasso and layers are also amazing!! I only have one problem with the app (about the amount of layers allowed for animating) and it honestly isn’t much of a problem because I don’t animate often, as I don’t enjoy it. Altogether I love this app so much and I’m trying to get my friends to try it ❤️❤️❤️❤️.Version: 5.1.8

Bootiful just BOTIFULAWESOMEEEEEE. I use this app every. Single. Day :D.Version: 5.1.5

A great appI really love this app, it has tons of features, unique GUI and the unique pressure sensitivity really makes it feel like you’re drawing traditionally. However, I would like to see a few things added: the ability to change the brush that a layer has already been drawn in (or to change the already drawn brush strokes to a different brush texture); the ability to change an entire group’s opacity as one instead of having to manually change each layer’s opacity within the group; the ability to pin artworks/stacks (I always have to scroll down for ages to find specific artworks within my heaps of doodles and sketches!); a option for a selection brush specifically for selecting an area of the canvas (other art programs have this feature e.g. Clip Studio Paint). Other the previously listed I have no complaints and I have been using this app for years. Amazing app, keep it up!.Version: 5.2.8

Good, but there is a problemHi! I’m talking about procreate, it’s amazing, my drawing has gotten better ever since I’ve used it, but when I use the colour drop there is a HUGE problem!!!! And you guys need to fix it!!!! When I use the colour drop it goes everywhere and I cannot move my screen what so ever! I cant even undo it??? YOU NEED TO FIX THE PROBLEM!!!!!! It has been annoying me and I had to restart and such a good drawing I was doing. I was doing the legs and had to fill it in, I used the colour drop and all of a sudden it WENT EVERYWHERE!!!!! I had to restart it because you could barely see it, I tried again and it LOOKS WEIRD all the colour’s are not good and it just looks all YELLOW!!!!!! Please fix this problem it bugs me so much! And another question, when I’m drawing it just randomly kicks me out??? I’ve tried resetting it but doesn’t work????? Please fix these problems I’ve tried everything. I’ve had this for almost a year, please help!!.Version: 5.3.1

Amazing app, just one problemThis app is honestly the best £10 I’ve spent. I usually don’t buy paid apps, but my friend kept recommending me to buy it all the time, and in the end I wasn’t disappointed. The brushes and tools are amazing; the amount of creativity you can put into this app is just endless. However, there’s one thing that bugs me: The 72 frame limit. Animation is kinda my thing, so while exploring the extremely helpful, “Animation Assist” setting, I was planning on making a short animated episode. I started right away, but before I was even a minute in on the project, I got a notice saying I had reached the maximum limit of 72 frames! It left me a little discouraged, but it would be great if you added unlimited frames to the animation assist instead of having only 72. This would be great if someone wanted to animate a short film or an explanation video. I hope you can take my review into consideration and add a change in the future. Thanks for the amazing app!.Version: 5.0.2

AMAZING 🤩I love pro create it’s an amazing app and I highly recommend it! You definitely get what you payed for. I have been using it for two years now and my brother 6 and we both are obsessed, if you want to get better at drawing and making your art better must download and buy procreate. From Anonymous 11 year old.Version: 5.3.7

Needs audio, stacks working wrong, needs blurAUDIO: This is such an amazing app for illustrating and animation. So many brushes and styles to draw in. For animation I used to use Flipaclip but it doesn’t has as many brushes as Procreate does. Plus there were limits to Flipaclip. And one thing that procreate doesn’t have is audio. And that’s a pretty big thing for those who animate. Many people have been asking for audio and we need it. That would make Procreate a much better app. If this has audio I’m sure that it would gain more downloads and be a main app for animation for many more people. I really would’ve rated the 5 stars because it’s NEARLY PERFECT LITERALLY ANYONE CAN USE IT but the audio thing brings it down :( STACKS: I have some stacks that are named so I know what goes where. But for some reason when I add a new canvas in a stack it changes the name to “stack” For example one of them is called “animations”. When I add a new animation to the stack that name “animations” changes to “stack”. And not only that, it kind of glitches and makes a different canvas/illustration first. Also, I have to drag the stack to the canvas. When I drag the canvas to the stack, the canvas doesn’t go in. BLUR BRUSH: Another thing is that Procreate needs a blur brush. Not one for the whole screen but a brush similar to the smudge brush. Because sometimes we just need to blur a bit of something..Version: 5.0.7

Amazing app! Definitely worth it!I have only been using this app for less than a year, but it's been amazing the whole time! Starting off, I was terrified that the price was like a subscription at first, but then I found out it was only a one time pay, which is great for my convenience! I heard about it, and when I heard it included art AND animation, I just had to get it! It has heaps of features, and all the brushes are great to use. Even though everything is great and awesome quality, there's a little bit of critical feedback I'd like to give as well (all though I don't think it should take down a single star!). With the animation, I feel as if it would be nice to add an audio feature. I understand why you wouldn't add it in or anything, the app already has a lot of options. But I'd say a lot more people would buy it if it had audio in the animations! That's the only reason I switch to FlipaClip in animation. One more thing is the fill bucket. I enjoy how fancy it is, and how much easier it is the fill a specific spot. But in some ways I believe the traditional "tap to fill" bucket works better. But I don't think that really matters, since the whole app is amazing anyway. I used to use ibisPaint, a free drawing app, and I can say that ever since I got Procreate I only made my digital art there. So many things I love about this app, and I'm overall so happy that I bought it!.Version: 5.3.1

Tattoo Artist’s dream toolTotally love this app, use it every day for designing tattoos. It would be cool to drag files from emails right onto a canvas some day. And it often doesn’t recognize my finger gestures, like simply turning the canvas with the two finger hold and move trick which seems to work speratically. Otherwise I am more than grateful for this tool, reduces my drawing time to less than half and I save so much on paper and fancy felt pens! Thanks guys. Bravo..Version: 4.0.1

Love ItProcreate has helped reignite my love for art. I don’t always have paper and pencils on hand, however, I do have my trusty iPad. The app is easy to use once you get the hang of it, and it has helped me develop my style immensely. The only downside would have to be that it does drain my battery more than other apps do, and occasionally will glitch and freeze when I press the undo button (meaning I have to restart the app and I can’t undo what I was trying to do), but other than that, this app is flawless and I love it..Version: 4.2.4

Amazing app! There’s one thing…Hello! I’d like to say Procreate is probably my go-to app for sketching, it’s a breeze and wonderful to use! A minor issue I would like added (possibly!) in the future is the usage of audio and music input. As the other reviews have stated, I believe this would add a major amount of downloads to your app. Again, another thing I’ve noticed is: the fill bucket. Often, it will color the circle the correct color but leave a thing trace of the background color behind, but I’m not really worried about that. Back to the audio/music option: I really think this would be wonderful for beginner/pro animators alike! Other apps don’t compare to the lovely quality of this one, with hundreds of brush options. It’s just nice really, compared to toner free apps I’ve tried, this one by far is the best. Thus, the missing audio input is what disappointed me the most, as an artist and beginner animator, the music/audio brings your character to life. And you also need it to lip sync, add movement or footsteps, etc. If you could, could you try to add a music import within the animating portion? I’ll await the day it may happen! Well, thanks for everything Procreate, and making my drawings look nice and smooth..Version: 5.2.6

Recently glitchyI have been using this app for months and love it but in the last week or so it has been very glitchy, which has been impacting my workflow and made the app very frustrating to use. It does not always recognise how many fingers I have on the screen so I may be tapping 2 fingers to undo something or swiping with 2 fingers to move around the canvas but it will draw instead or sometimes it will do the right function but freeze for a few seconds first. And tonight my biggest frustration was trying to go between undo and redo it was only letting me go one or two steps back and forth and freezing for a few sections each time and I was having to redo sections of my drawing because of this, which was significantly increasing my drawing time. I really hope these issues are addressed soon so I can go back to a seamless drawing experience..Version: 4.2.5

Easy 10/10I absolutely love this app. I was originally using a rougher software but once I switched over to procreate, there was immediate improvement in my designs. Procreate allows you to draw so smoothly and it is very forgiving when drawing tough lines. There are so many brushes to choose from and so many different techniques to help improve your designs. I would recommend for beginners, advanced and pros..Version: 5.3.7

I LOVE ITIt’s so fun a little hard to remember everything but it’s worth it!.Version: 5.3.7

New update really glitchy!!I’ve been using Procreate for years and have never had a problem with it. It has always ran perfectly and never had any glitches with it. When I got the new update however, I noticed at first whenever I pressed the undo button, it could take up to ten seconds before processing and actually undoing. Then the next time I went on the app, it was having a lot of trouble loading any of my drawings (including just a blank canvas) and would be sitting there for a few minutes without letting me interact with it. I could go back to the gallery while this was happening and try loading other drawings but same thing would happen. Now it has evolved to the point where I’ll open the app and it will just stay as a plain black screen for about thirty seconds before crashing, basically not even letting me do anything. This is now happening every time I open the app. I really love this app and have had it over three years now without any problems, but it’s really sad to see this happening to such an amazing program, so please try and fix it!.Version: 4.3.1

The definitive creators app for iPad - With one exception...If you’re on the fence about downloading Procreate, my suggestion would be to just go for it! You’re not likely going to find the same quality or value for money experience in other apps on the App Store. Procreate is a one time purchase, full feature drawing app with included animation features. It comes with a huge selection of pre-made brushes and the ability to create and import your own alongside a broad range of brush customisation settings. To try to even include every feature that comes included in Procreate would be a challenge so, my friend, I’d recommend just jumping straight in and finding them all out for yourself. Though, as a single critique, there is only one feature missing which would truly round out the entire creative capabilities of the app. The one thing I’d like to see the developers add is audio import and basic audio mastering support for animations. I understand this is no small task as it would require an overhaul to the current animation features, which are only quite recent themselves. I also understand that the current animation features are only a means to an end to appease any users who want to use the app to animate, as Procreate is marketed as a digital art app. Again, this being said, I as a user would like to see the app develop to accommodate as many creative individuals as possible..Version: 4.3.6

Love it!I love this app. I have had this since before it cost anything to buy/download. I have used it so much as of late and it’s become my new drawing program of choice. I only have one major issue. I have disabled every touch function or gesture except the press and hold for an eye dropper tool and the pinch to zoom/rotate. However, for example when I’m trying to make a selection and I have my hand resting on the screen sometimes it senses that as me making another point in the selection. Its really frustrating. Also sometimes if I’m trying to write words and I have my hand resting on the screen it’s like the Apple Pencil cuts out and makes sorta like dashed lines. When I lift my hand it doesn’t do that at all and lines are smooth. Also sometimes if I go to start to draw and I rest my hand on the screen it will be like I’m pinching the screen to zoom or move the canvas around. Yet I’m not doing that by choice. I only started to notice this be more of a problem since one of the latest updates. Before that I had everything disabled as well and almost none of what I said above happened..Version: 5.1.5

Awesome! But one issueI love Procreate because of all of the brushes and paper sizes and special effects, not to mention the time lapse video and animation gifs. I like how you can drag and drop colour to fill in a space because at the start I didn’t know that you could and it took for ever to colour everything in. There was only two things that I didn’t really like was that I use Procreate on an older version of an iPad that I got around 2014 and I am not sure if this factors in but I couldn’t get the animation feature for some reason. I had all the other recent updates like text but I could only make gifs. I had been really looking forward to this update but I couldn’t access it. My friend sent a screenshot with a photo of the button animation assist but it hasn’t shown up on my iPad yet. I have updated my software and checked for updates on the app but there isn’t any and it is really disappointing. The other thing was that I couldn’t find a button that you can use to find any gaps so that the fill bucket button doesn’t flood the whole canvas. Otherwise, I would definitely recommend this to others and have a really fun creative experience on this app..Version: 5.0.5

Everything is fantastic!I love this app. I’ve been using it for a few years now, and it’s not something you just learn immediately as everyone seems to think. Though the app it’s self is fantastic,Procreate is something you have to work at to understand, and once you know how to use it, you have a wide variety of tools at your fingertips, ready for your creative disposal. Anywhere, anytime. The brushes are brilliant. I find myself experimenting with new tools everyday, and pushing myself to find new illustration techniques has led me to discovering digital methods I would have never previously used. Regarding suggestions, a date keeper would be brilliant for time lapsing video footage, and keeping track of dates when things are touched up or changed as the painting progresses. When you exit the canvas for example, that is your last edit and the time stamp is engraved into the painting or drawing. It can sometimes be difficult to prove to others that I have created an idea at a certain point, and so a feature like this would be especially effective in supporting something like this. I love this app and hope to continue using it in the future to develop my artwork. It’s opened up a really wide canvas for me to create with, and I always find something new to play with every day. Just keep moving forward, and you’ll always discover something new..Version: 4.3.3

Love this app!! Only one problem though..I’ve had this app for just over a year now, and I do really love it. The brushes and canvas selections are great, there’s a ton of helpful features that make drawing with Procreate super easy and enjoyable! However, I do think that being able to undo things even after exiting the canvas would be helpful. Sometimes I’ll go to the gallery to check something else/take a break and work on something else, and when I come back, I can’t undo previous brush strokes. It’s not really a huge deal, but it can be frustrating if I want to copy a layer I already merged with another. Sometimes it’s possible to just select it and copy it like that, but if it’s on top of something else on the same layer it’s impossible to quickly get it separate..Version: 5.0.8

The Professional App for ArtistsI started using Procreate back in 2011 on the iPad 2. Back then it was an impressive app, despite only being able to finger paint at the time. Savage kept updating it. Changing it. With each iteration it got better and closer to what it felt it was trying to be; a professional app for artists. Nowadays, professionals are using it to create amazing work on iPad Pro with Apple Pencil. It’s crazy how far the app and the iPad have come. Everything from movie posters used in theaters and on billboards (Logan), storyboards for films (It), to fine art, comics, and concept art. If you want to do professional work on iPad Pro, this is your app. It may lack a tool here and there, but everything it has is tweaked to near perfection. Blazing fast, smooth as glass, and full of power. Not many developers in the App Store so obviously put in this much work and care. Procreate is what you get when a team wants to make the best thing they possibly can. With Procreate 4 we get yet another amazing update at no additional cost. I feel like I’ve robbed Savage at this point. I paid some small amount of money back in 2011 and what I have now is worth hundreds. I hope they’re making plenty of money, because they deserve it, and I’d be crestfallen if Procreate was no longer around. Keep doing your best down under, guys and gals. We appreciate it..Version: 4.0

Please get this appI rate this app 10/10 because it totally helps it is so awesome please buy it. It will change your life and plus it helps with your lines Mistakes and everything else so please get it. there are different brushes. And you can blend and make your own brushes so please get this app..Version: 5.2.6

Traduction Apple: What are you waiting for to make a major update? Wonderful App, Great Service, some suggestionsI’ve been using this app for about a year now and what has shined the most about it to me is it’s simple, easy to use layout and amazing customer service. They have an email help service where you can ask any questions and receive a quick response in the next 24 hours. No more searching Reddit threads in search of solutions and finding nothing that works. My old MediBang program wouldn’t always calibrate with my Wacom and the program itself would crash all the time interfering with my actual work time- not fun, when I’d Google search and nothing would help. Everything from how to replicate your favorite brushes from former programs to small technical questions - I once thought there was a problem with my Apple Pencil not connecting, turns out my opacity was just all the way low! Ha! This has been wonderful for me, as someone transitioning from another app and overall not too tech-y. My only suggestion would be to offer more free brushes, like a standard pixel brush would work wonders, and brushes that are pressure sensitive or have “wetness” to them like ibispaint. Textures and borders and more and even in-app downloadables like medibang would be magical too. Overall well worth the money..Version: 5.3.1

Amazing! Totally worth the price! This app is amazing for all ages, and you can design anywhere with or without internet both as a professional and as a hobby! If you want to get into learning how to start off with digital art, I totally recommend Procreate as it’s cheap and very easy to use. At first, I thought I’d have to pay $15 per month, like a subscription but it’s really just buy once, and you have the canvas to yourself. It’s great for students as you can not only just draw and colour, but also make photo collages, cool presentations and much more :) You can even animate and quick shape which is super helpful The developers have done a great job at making this app..Version: 5.2.4

Almost perfectMy favourite drawing app, hands down. I graduated to this app after using both Photoshop and Sketchbook Pro on PC, and I couldn't go back. The layer options are fantastic and allow you to achieve some incredible colouring and lighting effects with ease. The gestures are tactile with brilliant palm rejection provided you set the palm rejection to 'fine' in the advanced settings. By far the best feature of this app is the brushes. It's so simple to create your own by duplicating and tweaking the ones already there, I don't find myself needing to download any at all because the presets are so good. Unlike photoshop. The price is great too, considering it's a one time purchase the value is incredible. I've spent so much more on subscriptions to Photoshop and Sketchbook. The only thing this app lacks is a good ruler, compass, lazymouse, but what I feel it needs most is a symmetry feature. All of which can be found in Autodesk Sketchbook, I often find myself in need of these features and thus resorting to Sketchbook to block out an image and then importing into Procreate to finish it, but would much prefer it if I could use these features in Procreate. This app is fantastic, but with the addition of these features it would be perfect. Please please pretty please Savage..Version: 3.2.4

Great app, but it’s been glitching a bitI’ve had this app for quite a while now, and for some reason when I click on the Inking brush section, it kicks me to the Painting brush section. I can’t figure out why it’s doing that, and I’ve restarted my iPad and the app multiple times. I’m afraid to delete the app because then I might lose all of my artwork. Is there any way for me to fix this without having to reinstall the app? It’s really getting on my nerves. Other than that, this is a great app and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a good digital art app. Edit: Thank you Procreate for replying! I was actually able to find a solution to this bug on the internet a bit after I originally wrote my review. I found that if you press and hold on any brush from another category and drag and drop it into the inking category, the inking brushes will open back up and you can use them again. You’ll also be able to drag and drop the brush you used to open it back into it’s original category if you would like. For anyone who may be experiencing the same bug, I hope this helped a bit. Google search can be a bit inaccurate at times, so it took me a while to find this solution..Version: 5.1.5

Outstandingly amazing app! ☺️Oh my gosh! This app is absolutely worth buying! I’ve been using this app for about 2 months and I think that the creator(s) of this app are really happy about the reviews. I think that an app that they/he/she made has an outstandingly amazing amount of creativity! I love the way the creator made different brushes to make your art work(s) look really really realistic. I like the way they combined art work with animations. Before this I was using ibisPaint which I think is good but can add maybe a few improvements, anyways we are not making a review about this! Anyways as you all know I love this app and I think it is definitely worth the money! Enjoy the app!!!! 😉.Version: 5.1.8

Procreate is AmazingI have been using procreate for a while now and I just want to say that $10 is just the best price ever for this app. And I love that there is no “pro” version that costs even more money and a monthly subscription. The layout is very simple and doesn’t get in the way of your canvas. There is even an option to hide those few buttons temporarily by tapping with four fingers! There are so many hidden and cool features which makes it so fun to try and find them. The gesture settings is an amazing tool that helps you make things the way you like them and there are so many additional features like ‘animation assist’ and ‘drawing guide’ that the app doesn’t need to have, but it does and that is what makes it amazing. The creators of this app have made so many videos that are going to help beginners with learning how the app works. I think the best additional feature the app has (that I don’t think any other drawing app has) is the fact that you can create your own brushes and even get brushes created by other users online. Overall, thank you to whoever made this app and please keep updating it!.Version: 5.0.4

I love the app butI adore this app. It gives me all that I need and more when it comes to completing illustrations. But for the past weeks there has been an error where whilst I’m drawing, the app would just close. I figured i would just give the device and app a break and come back to it later. And usually this would fix the problem. But then another similar problem arose. It would again close, but also remove a square from my illustration. It didn’t matter if there were separate layers. Anything in the square was erased and simply showed the background white. After struggling with this problem for a while I figured that maybe I had too many projects on the app and therefore causing the malfunction. I deleted unnecessary files and the program began to function quicker and the square problem stopped. But that was not the end. I am now coming from another problem that takes the cake. I completed a sketch on one layer and began to work on a second layer. All of a sudden the app closes, and not a square, not even one layer. No, everything I worked on disappeared. Every line on both layers, gone. Of course the undo or redo function is enabled because of the app closing. I really do love this app, so I plead that these problems are fixed. Otherwise I simply cannot trust it, in fear of losing a piece again..Version: 5.0.4

Amazing! But a request please:)An absolutely amazing app and is the best I have ever found on the apple App Store for drawing. So easy to pick up and use but allows for high quality artwork to be produced One feature I would love to have would be to alter the symmetry drawing assist guide so that the radial pattern can be adjusted to have 5, 6, 7, 9 etc.. arms, this would allow me to create so many more mandala designs and would finally let me delete other apps that I have been holding onto and using because of this feature.Version: 5.0.6

Love the app but there’s a flaw!Since using procreate my digital art skills have definitely improved a lot! It’s simple to use and easy for beginners! However one thing I’d like for you to change is an in app backup type thing, so if the app is deleted or downloaded onto another device all your artwork stays with it! My son accidentally deleted procreate on my iPad, I reinstalled it but ALL my work is gone. So if there’s a way that you can incorporate some sort of in app save/backup that would be great!.Version: 5.1.5

Sound effectsPlease add sound effects to the canvas. PLEASE.Version: 5.3.7

Worth the HypeThe kind of thing you don’t know has been missing from your life until you use it and start enjoying all other software less. It’s very user-friendly, clearly optimised as a mobile app - what I mean by that, and what, in my opinion, makes Procreate more successful than other drawing software, is that the interface is cleverly designed to facilitate a natural, comfortable, and efficient workflow (making the most of a pen-touch combo). It’s also not too cluttered. But everything else about it is just as smooth - the brushes are incredible! Using this on an iPad Pro 2018. The one thing to know is that there is a layer limit here, and the higher resolution your image is, the lower that limit. But, personally, I’ve completely adapted to using Procreate for most of my illustration and concept art work. The only thing I could wish for is that one day we get a more advanced animation timeline. A small bonus, which always makes a difference to me, is that the team behind Procreate seems to be made of cool people who are genuinely passionate about what they do - of course, they could just be very professional, but I think that enthusiasm and love of the craft show in the software. Updates are awesome. Procreate is worth the hype!.Version: 5.0.8

Procreate 🎨I love procreate it is an amazing app with so much that you can do. The money is worth it!! Unfortunately, for me, (I don’t know if it happened to anyone else) after this recent update, the fill tool is not working. if I drop it into a closed up shape it will ignore the lines and fill the whole thing. Please fix this! In conclusion, I really love procreate and it’s ability to create amazing works of art. thank you for reading this :).Version: 5.3.1

Amazing! But could you maybe add one more thing?Procreate, I love your app, we can make 3D things, we can animate and we can just draw and doodle, I mainly use the drawing bit of the app, there is nothing wrong with it at all, it’s perfect! But I have been interested in infinite zoom art, you know? Where you can make pictures of a picture in a picture in some other picture and so on. I’ve heard of this other app called infinite paper, (something like that) but that costs like 9-10 bucks and it has such bad quality, I’ve read reviews saying it’s like an unfinished game and the pixels are blocky, (I hate blocky pixels!) but procreate, you can do it, I know you can! You’ve made such a successful app and the users of ‘infinite paper’ would be so grateful haha. Please procreate, take your time, I understand if this is too much to ask. Thank you for reading this..Version: 5.3.6

Amazing app! But freaky glitch o.oIve been using procreate for about a year now and it’s amazing! The animation and page features are really cool. Ive said this before but the only thing id like is to be able to animate over audio which still hasnt come yet 👀 But now I have encountered a glitch that gave me a heart attack lol (thats a joke btw). When I go to export a picture or video all my frames go blank and I have to close my app and go back on for them to come back..Version: 5.3.4

Really goodI think procreate works well for me and I don’t think there’s anything majorly wrong with it. The new colour drop feature definitely speeds things up. Animating in Procreate is easier than animating in some actual animation apps (Or maybe just the one I used don’t get animation desk it’s so bad) but the only thing I have with Procreate is I’ve used sketches school and there’s this tool (The cutter) that when you draw a circle or any other shape that joins together you can move anything within that shape around your drawing. It’s the exact same thing as the mouse in that bar at the top of your screen but it works for the area you choose and not being stuck with just moving the whole frame. I don’t know if implementing that would be considered plagiarism or not but if it would be then could you add the same thing but instead of moving it around you just get the option of adding it to another frame or making a new frame out of the drawings within the shape (Exact same size it would be bad if it expanded the whole screen). It would make drawing on the wrong layer (One of the worst things about digital drawing) SO much more manageable..Version: 5.3

Amazing app but a few problemsI’ve been using this app for about two weeks now and realized there are a few problems… 1. When trying to fill in a circle or perfectly closed shape, it will sometimes color the entire layer but not at 100% opacity for some reason 2. I have to screenshot my drawing when finished because the option so save as a png and etc is not possible or won’t work and will only save as a file not to my gallery and when I try to share an artwork, it will make it unavailable to open for other devices or people. 3. I just discovered this but though this is a one time problem or error, I’ve been trying to draw and when I open my layers the whole app with freeze. I’ve reopened the app multiple times and even restarted my iPad but it just won’t work. After this review I’m going to try to reinstall however I just wanted to point this out to the devs and other people who use this app Have a wonderful day and even though these problems are pretty irritating, I still have fun with making art with this app and it’s overall a really good app for artists. Oh and one more thing, I recommend adding an option to add a reference or photo on the side of the canvas not on top. So that we can look at it and look at the whole canvas itself. So far I haven’t seen an option for that besides making it a layer but if there is then I apologize. Once again have a wonderful day and have fun making artwork with this app, I really enjoy it..Version: 5.2.3

This is awesome!I love it! If you want to draw really well go to art with flo on YouTube.Version: 5.3.7

Amazing for beginnersI downloaded this app not long ago for my birthday and it is amazing! I am good at art irl, but this app just makes it 10x easier, i love all of the brushes they are all amazing and i love how many things you can do on it it’s mind blowing! And i am also getting more confident with my art skills, cause about a few years ago I got put off drawing because of school (because you don't get to draw what you want) but i had a new sketch pad and i was thinking of ways to use it so i was searching around the house for items to draw and started liking drawing again, my dads friend has this app to and recommended it to me so like i said i got it and yeah its just amazing and theres so many things i haven’t found out about yet theres so many things to learn anyways, i highly recommend this is probably one of the best drawing apps ever! Thanks for reading 😁❤️🙏.Version: 5.2.6

Fantastic for beginners and professionals alikeOne thing I never liked about most other drawing programs, especially on desktop, was how incredibly overwhelming and complicated the user interface tends to be. Even as someone who has been doing digital art for many years, I find the many buttons and knobs and whistles of other programs to be very difficult to get used to, and the workspace feels very cluttered even when I trim down the windows to just the tools I need. Procreate is different. The developers put a lot of care into developing this program and it shows. The result is a wonderfully elegant and streamlined UI that lacks clutter while still being incredibly powerful and giving the artist many tools to work with, and it utilizes the most of the iPad and Apple Pencil's functions to make it very efficient to use and easy to master. In addition to its lovely and easily customizable layout, I commend the Savage team for sticking to their guns regarding their pricing, as Procreate has always been single-purchase with free updates, unlike other companies that have fallen to the temptation of subscription and microtransaction models. Moreover, their customer support is excellent. I have seen many instances on their forums of developers personally getting in contact with users to assist with problems they may be having. I cannot recommend Procreate enough, and I eagerly await the developments they have planned for us..Version: 5.2.9

CrashesI love this app soooo much! I’m still learning how to use some of the features, but I think this app is amazing! Lately though the app crashes a lot for me. If I open certain drawings, it’ll crash, which gets a little annoying after a while. I’ve also noticed that my video replay of my drawings usually doesn’t work anymore. It just freezes and doesn’t show anything, which usually results in the app crashing. Again, a little annoying, but other than that I love it!!! 😄❤️.Version: 4.2.3

LOVE ITBest drawing app Total idea but it would be awesome if you made a 3d modelling app to import 3d stuff into procreate instead of having to use a different app, just a thought ❤️.Version: 5.3.7

I have a few annoying problems.Okay, this is a okay app. I’m glad I didn’t have to pay monthly and the brushes and the layering and stuff like that is good but I don’t really recommend using the animation on this app because a layer counts as a frame so it’s really hard to do the animations. I always start with a sketch, then add a layer and do the lineart but in animation, I can’t do that so I really struggle to use it. And also, I wanted to animate a dog walking, so I decided to import my video of my dog walking so I could use it as a reference to help me with this animation. It was a one second video so I thought it would be alright and import perfectly fine. Well, it did import and show a tick which means it did do it, and then it put me on the canvas with the video but you could only see the video for a split second and then it disappears. Why does it do that? I edited the video to make it one second because I thought it may be to long so I made it short! All that time wasted. And two days ago I managed to get a video on perfectly fine but now I can’t a video of my dog in! Why? Please, please fix this! It’s driving me around the bend and it’s stupid. Fix this. Apart from that, good app I recommend it if you want to draw (not animate but it could work for some people but I struggle with it) but yeah it’s worth the price do get it apart from those few things.Version: 5.0.6

Great App For All Level ArtistsThis is a great app, I bought it today and coming from a Wacom tablet, I prefer this. It is easy to use and has great tools for art. Here are some pros and cons Pros: Lots of tools varying from drawing, inking and sketching. Inexpensive but it does not show it in the software No lag at all You can zoom in and out to do very great detail Upload images to copy from as a reference image Lots of colours, also if you need an exact colour, put the colours number into the software and it lets you use that colour Cons: I thought long and hard but I cannot think of a con. Only thing I recommend is getting a cheap $12 stylus from a electronic store or staples which is more comfortable. Thank you pro create for this amazing app! I have been creating lots of great art work with it. Also, thank you for making it affordable!.Version: 3.2.4

A very good digital art appThe best digital art app I have used on the iPad. I have tried out several other applications, however Procreate stands out for its simple yet familiar interface to photoshop. It is loaded with unique brushes and if they don’t satisfy you there are custom brushes you can find online. This app is great for hardcore and casual digital artists and at its price point I find it pretty hard to beat..Version: 4.2.4

Beginner Friendly & AffordableSo I’ve been wanting to give this app a try ever since it came out and the hype is well deserved. I was worried the simple layout and compacted design would make things hard to find but it helped me get familiar with the program and its features, its starter brushes feel nice but you can always create your own or import premade brushes by other artists. I also like the ability of being able to record timelapses of your work. I’ve mostly used Paint Tool SAI & Clip Studio Paint throughout my art but Procreate is just as effective. There are some downsides of course. I feel the fill tool can be improved as you need to make an outline if you need to fill a specific area without it filling the entire canvas or add a magic want tool to combat this, the brush size could be better expanded especially for those working on larger canvases, I’m not a fan of layers being limited based on size, the stabilization feels weird and not like typical stabilization on other programs such as SAI or Clip but you eventually get used to it & I wished it wasn’t exclusive to apple. Hiccups aside, this is a very good program for only $12 and there’s so much it offers that the price is essentially a steal. There’s also Procreate Dreams for the animators & even a compacted version if you only have an iPhone. Highly recommended.Version: 5.3.6

Fantastic, but some minor problemsI absolutely adore this program and use nothing else for my digital artwork. There are too many wonderful things about this app to list them here, but read the other reviews to get a comprehensive idea. My only issue is this: palm rejection. 95% of the time it is fine, but every once in a while, the slightest motion of my hand will cause the canvas to jitter and then shift position. I sometimes experience brushstrokes that zigzag from where my pencil was placed on the screen to where my hand was in contact with the screen. Now, I’m not sure if this is a problem with the app or the ipad or if anyone else experiences this, but it is quite frustrating to experience. Again, this is my only issue with the app. The artwork that I am able to produce is better than I hope it will be (not a pride thing, just glad that I have the tools to properly translate my imagined image into an artwork) and the variety of artworks you can create (images, gifs, animations, 3D models, etc.) is incredible to me. I really recommend this app to anyone with an artistic side..Version: 5.2.2

Love it, but needs current updatesBeen using this for quite a few years now. Love the App, however I noticed overtime rarely get any updates on bug issues. And it seems like every couple days there will be a freeze up in the midst of drawling. Or doing a fill in any parts that are drawn will leave a thin negative line between the outline and what was filled. also would love to see some update in the future with the text other than using warboard to store to be able to actually arch without having to use other apps to do so. And even using a high dpi and then moving or skewing the picture not have a new girl pixelated and have the redraw it all over again. for the most part I love what propriate has given for such a small amount but at the same time I would pay $50 to 100 for this app if it would include more. For being a one time payment as low as it is and getting as much as I’ve gotten out of this app I do think that says a lot about a company that made the software so I don’t wanna completely be negative. But if it takes more money to get more things included in procreate I think it would definitely be worth it as long as it’s not a monthly rate or yearly rate..Version: 5.2.6

Nice Enough i suppose…One tiny caveat… There is this annoying problem however, with the stray lines that suddenly pop up and I think it’s related to my iPad overheating ? One other thing is : I just tried opening an account and signing in and it would not work for me ( ! ) I wanted to suggest something; but it wouldn’t let me, so I’ll do it here and that is : in invert mode. I would like to have a photographic option so that instead of converting black to white, it would invert black to transparent like a photographic emulsion ! All the other colors would invert exactly the way that it does already. One other tiny suggestion… is that I would like that when you creating a custom brush… there would be a Shortcuts for creating specific kinds of effects such as binary colors or smearing…? One last thing ( !!! ) would be ( obviously ) if you’re selecting different brushes and so on, that’s very convenient, it’s already very nice, but it would be additionally nice; if you could save a particular kind of pencil or brush with all of its attributes, saved with a specific color, size and so on ! ? And then be able to lock that custom pencil, so that it would be very difficult to change it ( !!! ) Thanx !.Version: 5.3.7

Amazing app! But I have a questionThe app is so good! you can choose from different brushes, layer your drawings and trace things! I was just wondering how you can get the face drawing thing where you draw on a part of the screen and on another part it shows the drawing on your face.Version: 5.1.5

Procreate: Bring your dreams to life!•••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• As a young student attending a film school to become one of the next generation animators and and graphic designers. This app is like a dream come true! I use it in my spare time to create cartoon characters, (like the characters in Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego) that I will eventually turn into movie-style characters with detail, like Katie in the Mitchells VS the Machines. It’s great value for the money. At first, as a student, I worried that it would be a subscription. But when it turned out to be a one-time payment, I was delighted! This app has also been really useful for some of the work I’ve been assigned. ‘Make a short advertisement for an original movie, ending with a cliffhanger.’ I’ll use this app to create most of the characters, and I can green screen character’s backgrounds, putting them into an awesome place. I also LOVE making short animations. For instance, a character jumping from cloud to cloud a few times on floating islands in the sky. I have not one negative thing to say about this app! But I do have a suggestion, it would be great if you could add an audio feature. I am currently using a completely different app to put audio in, and it always sounds clunky and muffled. I absolutely LOVE this app and I have gotten all of my friends to purchase it. 💜.Version: 5.1.8

Life changing.I am a career tattooist. Procreate has completely changed the way I design my work, even changed the way I think about my designs. The options are endless with this software! I would recommend Procreate to anyone with the slightest tickle of the creative bug. Thank you to the developers for such an amazing addition to my kit..Version: 5.0.2

Just. Totally. Awesome. Life-changer.This app which I started with in the 2020 lockdown has absolutely totally changed my life, giving me the confidence to try all sorts of design, ultimately resulting in designing and printing my own greetings cards for charity. You can try anything; the layers process lets you see an effect which can be removed, re-added or changed without destruction; there are hundreds of useful and inspiring videos available on all sorts of sites - it is literally a new world! There are also thousands of brushes and stamps available - and I own a lot! This is my question for the developers - could there be an adjustment whereby you could search for a brush name? The ‘Recents’ collection has been a good addition but it doesn’t ‘save’ very many brushes at a time and if you are creating a complex design you may use loads. I have tried to organise my brushes into media types etc but this doesn’t help when searching for something you have used successfully but can’t recall the collection it is in. Fingers crossed that something like this could be in the upcoming updates! But overall worth hundreds of stars!.Version: 5.2.9

Purchasing problem !!I bought the app almost a year ago and I uninstalled it because it kept crashing then tried to reinstall it and it wouldn’t let me. Probably a problem on my end but it was a great art app..Version: 5.0.4

No sound for animation.I know procreate dreams exists, but I do think that there should be an option to import a sound into regular procreate. Also, the frames count as layers, which is not fun when you are making a proper video. I hope this finds you well!.Version: 5.3.7

Game-Changer!April 20, 2023 Last year, around this time, I had just bought my iPad and started using procreate. It was my last attempt at digital painting/drawing after being vexed with the sheer convolutedness of the softwares out there. With procreate, I DIDN’T WANT TO STOP DRAWING! Today, a year later, I am stunned, pleasantly overwhelmed and humbled as I type this. I am now the lead concept artist for a professional game studio as we work on an ambitious title! This is truly surreal. This is me living my childhood dream. Thanks to procreate and iPad for allowing me to be able to bring what I could do on paper to the digital medium. Feedback and a small suggestion: 1. When using a smaller brush size for detailing etc, the ‘peppermint’ pencil seems to revert to a larger brush size spontaneously sometimes and takes a few strokes to return to the smaller brush size. 2. If you could work on an option that allows us to vary the frame rate between two adjacent layers that make up the gif/mp4, it would be phenomenal. It would allow Story-boarders/ConceptArtists/Previz to control the pacing accurately and do the entirety of 2D Visualisation without ever leaving Procreate! And export the file straight to the director. The mere possibility and how organic and intuitive it would make visualisation excites me! Words can’t express my joy today as I wrote this review. My deepest thanks and appreciation to everyone at Savage. You guys are Game-Changers! ✨✨.Version: 5.3.4

Trial Version Please; Piracy is a Crime.I heard about this app from a friend who likes to draw. I went to see if there was a lite version, and found a cracked version (I know, I’m a bad person). However, it ended up working really well, and I could see myself as a long term user so I bought the app to support future development. It installed smoothly and all of my drawings transferred to the AppStore version. There was nothing wrong with it, however any software that I want to try that doesn’t have a lite/trial version, I pirate. after a week, I delete the pirated version and either buy the full version to support the developers, or just don’t use the app. I feel like it would decrease piracy and would allow a user who just wanted to try the app if there was a lite version that was free but had a very limited set of brushes. It would be very easy to just cut out content from the app binary, and would drive more sales. Also PLEASE CREATE AN APP FOLDER IN THE ICLOUD DRIVE WHERE FILES CAN BE SAVED. THIS ALLOWS MULTIPLE DEVICE SYNC, AND IS VERY EASY TO IMPEMENT. EVEN FREE APPS HAVE IT, THERE IS NO EXCUSE FOR A PRO APP TO NOT HAVE ICLOUD SYNC. Yes I know I can press “select all” to export all as procreate files, but it’s a workaround, not a feature..Version: 5.3.1

The best drawing app for iPad hands downI’ve been using procreate since it first came out. I didn’t do much with it at first because I had never created digital art and frankly I was lost but the support, tutorials, and intuitive interface made it easy to transition. I cannot count the number of referrals I’ve made to ... well anyone who’ll listen... and the many times I’ve gifted the app. It is because of this app that I upgraded to an iPad Pro and the Apple Pencil - Apple and procreate- a match made in heaven. Have there been bumps in the road along the way? Yes, but the procreate team are always on top of things - and frankly if you’re a Windows OS user like me, the bumps on this road are a walk in the park when compared to blue screen of death, expensive doorstops because you’d installed the software once too often and it is now useless..notwithstanding the irony of the screen of death’s involvement in your multiple rebuilds... But I digress, if you’re looking for a well priced, well supported, professional drawing app for iOS- look no further. I’ve tried all the others so I could at least have an objective view on this. They all have merits, but none are (imho) as complete, polished, advanced, supported, and maintained as Procreate..Version: 4.1.2

The best drawing appHello procreate! I really love your app. It’s amazing and I love it. But there’s 1 problem, when I just do some drawing, it sometimes kicks me out and all. It’s still amazing tho! I will fix that problem one day. I got procreate when I got and iPad for 2021 Xmas! It was the best Xmas I had. Man I love this app.. people should really get this app when they get an iPad.. -13 year old ki.Version: 5.2.2

Finally! You improved the thing I was wishing for! Display of canvas used to be a bit blurry (mean pixel grid was not clear) in some amounts of scale; but now it’s perfect and my lineart looks sharp and clean as it supposed to be! Much more comfortable to work! Thank you!.Version: 5.2

Closest to hand drawn art in a digital appI’ve mostly worked with Photoshop and more recently started using Affinity Photo and Designer. I purchased Procreate a couple years ago but never used it that much because I hate that there are no stroke settings for objects and text. I’ve just now decided to work with it more often and am falling in love with the ability to get a more hands on feel to my artwork that I couldn’t get from Photoshop. I wish the app would have the ability to hide brushsets or nest them in a folder style so you don’t have to scroll through the list to find the brushset you need. It is difficult to copy a brush and move it to another folder if you have a lot of brushsets like I do. That way you could simply unhide the brushset with the brush you want to copy and rehide it when done. It would be even better if this could be done at the brush level too. I have lots of brushsets that I would like to keep installed and grouped by the artist and I don’t want to delete them. I just want them hidden and I can unhide them if I want to play around with the brushes from that set. The ability to hide and unhide brushsets would make the app more user friendly and provide a cleaner brushset UI..Version: 5.2.2

Some things about the update. So when drawing and using the app after the recent update, I was having fun drawing, until these two things started happening. The Gaussian Blur, is my favorite tool to smooth out all the hard lines when making a gradient. but I used it, and it left the Hard Line, only adding a small opacity blur. That’s not what it always has done, and it’s really upsetting that it does that now. Did that ability move to another button? I can use the smudge tool of course but it isn’t even and doesn’t do it to all of the paint in that layer, taking a long time. The Gaussian blur did it immediately, evenly, and quickly! For the selection button, when selecting an area there is a glitch too. When undoing on only the separate line just made, you can’t keep drawing for the selection area! It makes you undo the entire selection area until you’re back to drawing mode and then you have to start over. Is this a glitch? Will you most likely be fixed it in the next update? Procreate is the best drawing app in my opinion, and this is why I still give five stars for now. These are my go to tools, and this is what makes drawing on the app easier and fun! If these stay like this it’ll make the whole experience just worse for me when drawing..Version: 4.2.1

1 word: AMAZING!I use this app everyday for my drawings! Sadly, I do not own an Apple Pencil but I still enjoy it! All of my friends who have downloaded it love it, although it would be nice if we had a foliage section of brushes so if we wanted to draw grass or tree leaves we wouldn’t have to purchase them online from other users or draw in every single blade. Otherwise, amazing! :D.Version: 4.3.8

In dire need of an updateThere is not kidding that this is the best iOS drawing app however…with its entirety there are a few flaws i have encountered most have been discussed this far but one rarely saw was sometimes when you use pics as layers they don’t show up. I have encountered this a lot but its become a bigger problem as of late. In some cases i will try opening an image and nothing and i used to be able to open a canvas and it would import the image but now even that has stopped working i went to see whether it was a updating issue which was resolved and i just hadn’t updated the app yet but the i saw that the last update was 1 months ago so i tried the next week the the next and then waited another month and then realised it was just a flaw i had to get used to but its just not good if I’m trying to pull a picture to reference or previous work that needs revising and although it irks me the app itself is great like i said best i have tried and I have been doing minor digital art work for the past few years so I have really tried them all.Version: 5.1.8

Time-lapse qualityI recently updated my iPad 7th gen to an iPad Air hoping the time-lapse quality would improve but it is still pixelated and grainy looking, I’m convinced this has something to do with the app as a few others are experiencing the same? I e tried to change quality in my app settings for procreate however the option isn’t there at all? It’s frustrating because you work hard to produce incredible quality works and only have the final product and a shifty time-lapse to show for it. I love procreate to bits and i am grateful for I however something needs to change with the time lapse situ..Version: 5.1.5

Keeps crashingI don't know why but for some reason procreate keeps crashing when I try to open it..Version: 3.2.4

Love it!I’d highly recommend this app for digital artists, recently I’ve started to get into digital painting, and this app is perfect for it! I’ve tried other apps like ibis and medibang, but they aren’t as efficient, and ibis is clearly not meant for it. The transition was easy, and I love being able to utilize the fact that this is an app and not a desktop download. At first I was hesitant because of it costing money, but I love this app, and it is so cheap for how amazing it is. My complaints? I don’t have any about current features, and the things I’m saying aren’t complaints, they’re just things that would be more convenient. This app doesn’t seem like it’s made for comic making, but it would be great if there was some tools for being able to make them. I’m able to, but I have to switch between ibis (has a text tool, I haven’t seen one on here yet) and Procreate so that I don’t have to be frustrated with my handwriting. It would also be nice to have “stroke outer” and “glow outer” filters, it would be more convenient for my stylized art, and some effects look better with “glow outer” and/or “glow inner” filters applied to them. But these are definitely not necessary features, they would just make things easier and take away the step of taking the file to ibis to apply said filters. Basically, I love this app, and I would recommend it to any digital artists on iOS..Version: 4.1.2

Legendary appI don’t normally write these but since it’s procreate, I’d say it’s worth my time. Procreate is by far the best and easiest drawing app ever. Well let’s be honest, at first I didn’t really think about how to actually use it...I just drew lol that was also when I thought my drawings looked OK but now when I look back I realize how weak they looked without the layers and other features I didn’t know then, in fact layers are like the key thing in procreate, drawing becomes so much easier if you use layers. Over time I’ve learnt how to use other useful tools like the select tool and a few others— now that I’ve mastered those features procreate feels good to draw with! (Well I’ve always thought that) I’m so used to procreate that I even try to draw with procreate features in paper without thinking😂 So like I said it’s a really fun and easy app to use once you get used to it....I mean even the animation tool is there! For me drawing is way easier and better looking in procreate than paper...not to mention the price is also very cheap for an excellent app like procreate ... only $10! I would highly recommend this app if you wanna do digital art, procreate is the reason why I wanted an iPad after all! ヽ(^o^).Version: 5.0.1

So close to perfectI just got procreate about 2 weeks ago, and it’s like the best drawing app ever, it has everything I could ever want from a drawing app and more, it’s extremely intuitive and easy to use as well, unlike many other applications, the only part that I dislike about the app is that it isn’t as superior when it comes to animation. I know Procreate is a drawing app, not an animation one, but it makes drawing so easy, I wish it had better support for animation, specifically adding audio, I wanted to lip sync to a lot of my animations, but since I can’t import the audio into procreate, I have to try timing everything myself, which is a nightmare. If procreate was audio compatible, I think it would be the perfect application for all my 2D drawn animations. But, it’s animation support still has everything I need when it comes to the drawing side of things. So there’s at least that. Either way though I highly recommend Procreate to anyone interested in 2D digital art. If you’re looking to animate in procreate, I recommend it if you only need to draw something, although I recommend other applications if you’re going to need to add audio to make sure your animations match up..Version: 5.2.1

It’s totally worth it!!!Ok, so I don’t normally do reviews but I had to do one for this app. I know that you have to pay but it’s soooooo worth it, I’ve been searching for drawing apps for years now and this is just THA BEST. I know a lot of people have complains about the animation tool, and I totally agree! And I really hope the creators soon fix it. (But no rush!!!) it’s a bit confusing at first but the more u use it, the easier it gets! So don’t be frustrated if u don’t get the hang of it at first! There’s a huge range of brushes (all very different) and the fact that u can create ur own is just genius! And I LOVE the palette features, it’s just amazing, and I don’t think any app can beat Procreate with it’s amazing features of all kind! Request for updates: - it would be great if u could add like tutorials of the different features and secrets - layers for the animation tool.Version: 5.3.5

A whole new worldSo I bought an iPad purely to then be able to use Procreate. I’ve never been a digital artist and it is different to pen and paper, but in a good way. It has encouraged me to be so much more creative. I’m making art every day instead of once a month, it has definitely given me more creative freedom whether that’s because there’s an ease to erase, throw away, or to simply correct mistakes or because it allows to add such finesse to a work. It is like a really snazzy version of photoshop, except you can do so much more with this, it has the sensitivity of touch and use of a pen that you need that photoshop simply won’t allow for. The gestures and interactions between your physical touch and the screen are becoming like a second language the more I use it. I may not have perfected my digital skills yet completely but it has been so good for my creative side breaking out of my sketchbook and motivational restrictions..Version: 5.0.7

Some functionality improvements would make it much betterFor the “edit shape” feature, which pops up at the top after using quick shape, there should be a way to easily re-enter this mode, rather than having to redraw the shape...I get that this makes more sense for a vector app, but it would be so much more useful for there to be better shape editing functionality. I find myself undoing because I can’t really see what tiny adjustments I’m making because the “anchor point” blue bubbles get in my way. This should be an option after every most recent line is drawn. Hoping this changes in procreate 5. Also...double tapping on one of the anchor point controls should convert a curve into a point, like in illustrator how the anchor point tool converts end points from curves to straight lines. I just want to draw perfect flower petals! Duplicating shapes is annoying as well, in move/resize mode there should be a duplicate button right on the bottom option panel, so I can duplicate within my layer, rather than navigating from the selection tool to the move tool, only to have my selection disappear upon switching between these two. I notice it happening and maybe it’s due to my own inexperience with the app, but it is annoying. Especially when it just makes a new layer every time I try to duplicate an element..Version: 4.3.9

What happenedThe app is amazing in all, but the fill tool leaves white dots now and it’s really annoying to have to go around it, and color theory . It’s just so irritating it’s like you want to have a color and start to draw, it comes out different, like you wanting a female baby but it turns out to be a boy so please change those.Version: 5.2.2

Amazing app for all levels of drawing experienceI’ve been using Procreate since they first launched way back and watching it grow from a powerful drawing tool even pre-Apple pencil to the accessible and powerful program it is now is incredible. I highly recommend the animation and internal time lapse recording functions as well as their rulers and drawing guides. Some feedback: you may have heard it from others but the aliasing on the transformation tool can use some work as it’s a bit disruptive to workflow when transforming and warping line art that gains a distinct fuzz. Also, the ability to transform or adjust multiple layers at once would make Procreate as robust as other competitive programs. Really appreciate the multi-point warp option and the ability to save your selections for easy access though! Additionally, not sure if this is in the works or not but being able to have separate layers per animation frame would also be amazing. Colours become much easier to apply (and edit!) to animation frames when they are on separate layers. Really love what the team does, thank you for your hard work!!.Version: 5.1.3

Wonderful app!Great app! Awesome for any kind of professional work, very simple and easy to navigate making it great for beginners, fantastic drawing quality and the number of tools and brushes is astonishing. For the one time only price of like 20 bucks it’s really great! Importing brushes and fonts is also and option if you don’t like the given brushes, but there’s just about anything you could need. If you’re tired of “free” drawing apps and are looking for actual quality, please get procreate! Take some time to learn how to draw with the app and you won’t ever want to go back. The pressure sensitivity for apple pencils is beautiful and digital painting is also supported with various paint brushes. Good job!.Version: 5.3.5

Vector files ?Iv enjoyed useing this app and haven’t found many problems at all !very simple and easy to use ! Currently tho I am trying to share my designs with other designs so I can get merch and clothing made the problem I’m having is I can’t send my design in a vectors file I feel like this is something that should be added to allow people to do this I have been useing this app for about 3 years now and don’t see any reason to use another app until now that I can’t send a vector file .. Is this something coming for a future update or something you guys are working on ? I’d like to continue to use procreate but feel like it would be easyer to learn another app that allows me to do vectors files if this isn’t something that will change in the future.Version: 5.2.9

Still iOS’s bestThere are a few others that do certain things better than Procreate or have a feature or two that Procreate doesn’t have, but they lack other things that Procreate does better than even the OG king, Photoshop. IMO, it does image/canvas size and layer/layer grouping better than photoshop. I would say it does brush creation and modification better, but that’s probably the one area I’m still largely engaged in by trial and error. I painted for many years in traditional studios and still do, which is probably why I can’t quite give in to the lack of impasto texture involved at the surface where paint interacts with canvas. The UI is so clean and effective that even if I am using a different painting app I end up using Procreate in the background for the basic dynamic structural elements like free transforming, etc., importing back into the other app because it’s faster and easier. My favorite recent upgrade is the ability to import videos. I have been making the weirdest animated gifs, which is also weird since I’ve never been inspired to do anything but static image painting and collaging, proving the inspiration factor inherent in Procreate. That being said, it just became the largest app on my iPad Pro by far since the data involved in frame by frame editing can be massive. External SSDs are great for this issue..Version: 5.3.4

Changed the game for me.Have had Procreate for just under a year now and it’s has changed my life. It enables me to produce the kind of work that I struggled to do with traditional techniques and I have been more prolific during this time than ever before. One thing I have noticed, particularly when drawing or sketching is that due to the dynamics and rendering of the pencil it kind of highlights bad habits I have picked up in penmanship and is helping me to correct them. Not something I expect was intended but seems to doing so nonetheless. The huge variety of brushes gives so much scope for different styles and techniques. I love the level of control for adjustments to brushes and features, and despite others’ doubts I have had great fun with the animation assist. Have had no problems with crashing or anything like that. Just constant creative joy. Thankyou for such an awesome app experience..Version: 5.2.6

Love it!I first got procreate after I gave birth to my daughter to give me a hobby I can easily pick up and put down when she’s napping. The amount of brushes included is amazing, plus they’re fully customisable in themselves so the options are endless. I have loved creating digital art, I’m currently going through my pieces and selecting some to sell, which I never thought would happen! In the gallery page I wish there was a way to create albums/folders where you can place multiple stacks, I sometimes find it hard to organise without folders within folders, so if this could be added that’d make this app perfect for me..Version: 5.2.2

SOO AMAZING 🤩 DEFINITELY RECOMMENDI remembered when I always wanted to reveal my inner artist to the world! And now I can, all thanks to Procreate! This app is perfect to make arts and show off your creativity in your artwork. I would always be doing artworks using the AMAZING app 24/7.. but now I have a problem. When i choose a color.. it goes for the complete opposite of the color 😭 for example I chose black for an outline and when I use it BOOM! It just turns into white and it makes me kinda sad because I can’t use the colors I picked anymore 😞 But this drawing app it top rank, FULL FIVE STAR ⭐️, REVIEWS SAYING HOW GOOD IT IS AND MORE! This app is gonna SKYROCKET one day. Thanks for reading and peace out! -A Fan Who Nevers Quits Procreate- Moon (my nickname).Version: 5.3.6

Amazing but small bugSo I’ve been using Procreate for more that 2 years now and I truly think it’s a great app. But there is a small bug which I want to ask you to fix. So when you want to animate on my iPad wall the layers that I use go onto different pages for the animation tool so I have to put the layers in groups so it’s all together but when I’m animation I want to add another group but then it says “You have reached the maximum of 60 layers” So then I have to export my animation make a whole new one then edit on capcut. This is a really frustrating process even though it mayn’t seem so but please can you raise the maximum on 60 layers to 100? It would help me dearly in my life of an animator. Apart from that everything is smooth as silk. The is a wide range of colours you can have a pallets a HUGE variety of brushes and sizes. Overall this game is truly fantastic but it has its ups and downs but doesn’t every game. Nonetheless everything else is perfect..Version: 5.3.5

Best drawing app out there! 💕💕💕💕⟟ used to use ibis paint x but moved onto procreate ⏃ few years ago and ⟟ am loving it! Everything’s just really simple and easy to use, many different shapes and sizes for canvas’s, an amazing selection of brushes! I’m only thirteen years old and ⟟ find it extremely fun! I’ve made so any masterpieces! It’s great for all ages not just mine as well. Thank you for creating it!! From soupy!.Version: 5.2.5

Magical App and a go-to for my Creative Director husbandThis app is the only one my husband uses as Creative Director for a very successful, exploding social platform. His art has been a big factor in the success of the company…in the words of the CEO/Founder, with whom he is good friends. He has become buddies with some very famous people through that platform; much of those online interactions have begun through his artwork. (He has also gotten to know some celebrities by arguing with them, 😂 He has gotten into online “wars” with very famous people on his social platform and others. It blows my mind! Imagine fighting with a celebrity! These battles sometimes go on and on, because it turns out they are as equally hard-headed as my husband 🤣 He sometimes wins them over, and they end up friending each other like something out of flipping Forrest Gump. He has formed creative partnerships with some people you would not believe. Procreate is part of this! Oh, btw side note: I have to say here that one celebrity, a really likable one, was a friend of my hubby’s on Twitter. My hubby Tweeted something on there from his own head that was hilarious and popular. Three days after that, this aforementioned celebrity copied it word-for-word in a Tweet. It immediately went viral and was quoted in different places in the media. While my hubby wasn’t thrilled about it, he viewed it as a compliment and was like, oh well. He is so laid back. I, however, was indignant about it. 😂.Version: 5.2.6

Fantastic!Haven’t used Procreate for very much yet, but what I am finding is fantastic! My only two issues so far involve creating glows and drop shadows and adding fonts. It is much more difficult to create these glows and drop shadows than it should. In order to do either, it is necessary to create a second text layer below your main text layer, and blur or spread that second layer. However, if you want to change the shadowed or glowed text, even if you just want to move it a little to get it aligned as you with with the main text layer, you have to recreate the layer anew as there seems to be no way to edit the text once you have changed it from a standard text layer. In terms of fonts, it is great that we can add extra fonts so easily, but if you add a font to the system, Procreate ignores the fonts you have added via iPadOS. This makes adding fonts to Procreate a pain because you have to add the same fonts separately to Procreate that you just put so much effort into adding to your iPad system. Apple doesn’t make it easy to add fonts, so once you’ve done it, you want ALL your apps to be able to access these fonts. Aside from these two issues, Procreate is an amazing drawing program..Version: 5.0.1

I desperately want this to be as good as desktop appsAs an artist the portability of being able to draw and create on the go is very appealing. Procreate is so close to being perfect as a substitute for desktop apps such as Photoshop, it’s just missing integral features that make the desktop setup much more efficient, and make me go back to using my desktop setup even if it’s less enjoyable than Procreate. The small yet time saving features I desperately want added are an ability to customise the colour tab, I want to be able to change the colour circle to a colour triangle, and to add h/s/b to the colour square tab. As well as the ability to quickly view my artwork in black and white, Photoshop has the ‘proof setup’ feature where you just press a hot key to view the image in b&w, this seems minor but is such a time saver. Also being able to use Procreate on my Mac, either through my iPad as a drawing tablet, or using a separate drawing tablet such as a Wacom, the relatively small screen real estate of an iPad compared to a desktop is significant. I want to love Procreate, and I want to be able to use it for everything, but without these features I am unable to..Version: 5.2.2

Great app. Missing key features. This app is phenomenal to use until you want to add text to the image. I’m trying to design some labels and there is no in app way to add text outside of drawing it..Version: 4.2.5

This app is so Great!🩷🩵I love this app so much! It has great features, good art and super good! I did 7 drawings on this app and they stay there, they don’t get deleted! Procreate is a lot better than any other drawing app on any device,so please git this app!🩷🩵.Version: 5.3.7

ProcreateI really like Procreate there are amazing things you can do on here, but one big complaint I have is that there isn’t much variety in the animation side of this app, I understand that this is more for drawing BUT if you are going to add that feature why not full commit? One idea I have is instead of having just one animation, you could add the feature of making multiple animations in one, example: say there is a character and next to him is a fire, and you want both to be moving, why not add a separate animation folder to both do you understand what I mean? Another thing is the problem with backgrounds, in animation sometimes the backgrounds will be moving example: someone is walking down the street, obviously the background would be moving to simulate moving, maybe there could be some sort of ‘scene mover feature’ where you could create one long background and create a way to move it at different speeds or maybe you could do that some other way. Anyway, those are my thoughts.Version: 5.2.5

My thoughts on procreateHear me out okay? Procreate is worth it’s money and is AMAZING. Though there are some few negatives I’m slowly using procreate since I had ibis paint, and on ibis paint they had a blurring tool. We have the option to create a blurring tool ourselves but there’s a bug in it ( I think ). When making a new brush, there’s an option for wet mix. When I go to wet mix I rise up the dilution. That create a glitchy affect to the app and sometimes doesn’t meet my expectations. That was just a bug, this one is a recommended feature of mine. Clipping mask in groups. There are times where I want to clip two of the same clipping mask I’m using. Though when I tried to do that, it didn’t have the option. Please take this seriously as I am a young artist with big dreams. Thanks for reading..Version: 5.0.8

BEST APP EVERThis app,is a amazing drawing app I love the variety of tools..Version: 5.3.7

Oh my fluffing GAWDHey! It's Glitch here! I just want to say a HUGE thanks for this amazing digital art application that is highly addictive and has high performance and a huge variety of textured brushes! I recently got an apple pencil gen 2, and I had to get a new ipad Lol. On my old ipad, I didn't have as many brushes, but now, I just found more brushes! I love procreate, and its amazing for my furry drawings! I love how you can make your own brush sets and brushes, and can import brushes and brush sets! I highly recommend it for anyone who wants to do digital art and maybe even get some bit coin! It's is totally worth it for 16 bucks! To me, it's worth 20 bucks! The brushes are extremely unique, and I love how you can project your canvas in screen mirroring! I love this. I Am addicted to this! I love it soo much! Thank you SO MUCH for reading too! And thank you for wasting your beautiful life force reading a probably useless review!.Version: 5.3

Best app for drawing/manipulating but is buggy!Fix the bugs and I’ll give it 5*! It freezes frequently when cutting out parts of layers freehand, and when using the rotate/warp tools it will suddenly not let me rotate the layer I’m tweaking even if I stop using the function and come back to it. This can happen even if just using one layer. Aside from this it by far trumps the Adobe iPad apps and is incredibly versatile for drawing/manipulating/designing images. I also wish they’d add the option to move the undo button to the right middle toolbar with the brush sliders like on Fresco, so much easier to use with free left hand that way. Additionally “cut/copy to layer”option would be so useful! Can still do this the long way but it is a nuisance when there’s lots to cut cross and takes changing between layers a bunch of times when it could just be one click..Version: 5.1.4

Fill bucket + referenceI love this app and it has made digital art so easy for me, and I’m thrilled to see the addition of clipping masks and shape tools! One thing I think is an absolute necessity for the next update, however, is a reworking of how the fill bucket tool functions. Other (free) programs such as medibangpaint that I’ve used have capabilities like expanding fill bucket selection without having to use the select tool, and the fill bucket taking all marks into consideration, regardless of layers, when making its fill. The ‘reference’ setting has proved to be inconvenient at best. Also, having to drag the color swatch from the top right corner is cumbersome. Fill should be its own tool like drawing and erasing. Honestly, I just want to see the fill bucket function like it does in EVERY other art program I’ve used. Another thing to note, many programs have the very useful feature of allowing you to have reference images in a separate window on the screen, so you can see them no matter where you are on the canvas. Would love to see this integrated. And, a final request, please make blending tools stop picking up colors from outside your selected area when you blend. I use the selection tool,,,, so the brush doesn’t interact with things outside the selection,, why do blending brushes pick up things from outside the selection and drag them into your selection,, That said, thank you for making such a fantastic art program accessible at such a low cost!.Version: 4.2

Amazing app although some faults. I still recommend :)I am still pretty new to procreate, i do not have an ipad pro or apple pen. i have a cheap stylus from kmart and a 2017 ipad. it still works fine, i’d really like to hear if it would change my experience with ipad pro and apple pen though. procreate is absolutely amazing, there are a wide range of brushes, good for any style of art, i would recommend this application. it is actually quite cheap for what it offers. although sometimes i will be drawing and the next minute it has glitched me back to my home screen, is that just because i don’t have ipad pro or it is a different issue? but overall an amazing app, if you enjoy digital art, or want to get into digital art, this is the app for you. as i said, i’d like to know if it would change my experience with apple pen and i pro and why? would it be a good investment to make?.Version: 4.2.4

Great for art, user interface issuesThe app itself is great for drawing and image manipulation, however it seems to experience a number of user interface issues, particularly regarding image exporting options. Most recently this has included the “send via Messenger” option not showing up most of the time even in the “More” section, and when it does appear either failing to send either in bulk or even individual images, or not prioritising the most recent messenger profile exported to (meaning you need to scroll through a lengthy list of people every time you want to export an image, especially problematic when dealing with multiple images that can’t be sent in bulk). Edit: Facebook messenger seems to only allow up to 9 images to be sent at a time. The “send via messenger” option only appears for me when I select more than 9 images, meaning it fails to send..Version: 5.1.7

What I think about procreateI would like to say that I know that you may think $15 is a bit pricey for a app but for the quality and products of this app is a good price . I was nervous that the cost wouldn’t be worth it and Is a monthly subscription but you pay this one time and you keep it . The design is very good and not very complicated , if you are having trouble understanding or want to figure out how to use it better I would recommend this app . I’m very happy that I got this . Procreate is a amazing app and is worth every cent . there is some things I would like and one of them is a blending brush that you can size and it may be easier to use . Other then that it’s a amazing app and I think you should get this if you are a beginner to digital art or you do digital art it is amazing . From ~Bee🐝hive~.Version: 5.1.5

Love this appEdited: any plans to allow for compiling brush folders? Thanks for creating something so versatile and portable. Ive loved creating digitally when we had to move into a small place temporarily and that ended up being longer than we expected. My paper art had no room to be done so i found this with good timing. Especially when COVID hit. It’s kept me busy. I love all the new upgrades. One id like to see one day is a search on projects. If ive taken time to name them and put things into collections, id love a search option to find them again. Another is to be able to create brush folders so that the same types of brushes can be collected into the same folder. When i buy new collections, id like to be able to put either all the creators brushes in one collection as they add new ones. Or be able to put all my watercolor collections, or alcohol ink collections, or body stamp collections into major folders so that im not scrolling through 200 brush collections trying to find what Im looking for. Right now i just put similar collections next to eachother but that makes a huge listing. Is that the best that can be done? Or am i missing something?.Version: 5.2.5

Greatest art app ever! This application puts adobe to shame. It’s user friendly and a powerful artist tool. I feel a little guilty that I paid my $15 aud a few years ago on my first iPad Pro and the dev’s at procreate keep supporting the app and improving it while I have upgraded to a new iPad. These guys deserve some more money for the work they’ve put into this app over the years to improve it. Unlike the thieves at adobe who charge a monthly subscription that an amateur hobbits artist like myself can not afford or justify the expense. This app has been there through my journey to becoming a better artist and has assisted me along the way with amazing tools that give my work a level of professionalism in digital art I could only dream of. Many thanks to the Procreate development team, you guys ROCK..Version: 5.0.4

Superb!!Of course no apps are going to be PERFECT, but the next thing to it is always working towards it, which Procreate absolutely nails. There are millions (as far as I can see) of amazing tools on there, as well as complex animation, replay, distortion and so many other cool things. I recommend having a go at Sketchbook, which is free, first. If after 2-3 months you feel comfortable and happy with digital art, and you feel like you’re pushing the boundaries a bit and are looking for more (as I was) then go ahead. You might even earn the money back by selling artwork/brushes on Etsy etc. Yes, it’s £12, quite pricy, but if you think about it, you might spend that much on a good set of art pens or a few notebooks or something. It’s not a subscription, which unfortunately 95% of all apps seem to be, so you can properly OWN it. Plus, if you have an Apple Family Sharing plan, which is free, then you can share it with up to 5 people — which I do — without paying any extra. Also: To the developers, I saw you replied to so many other reviews which is great, well done for the amazing app. Just a couple of asks: 1. Could you add a few more options to the Liquify adjustment? I love playing with it SO MUCH, and it would be super cool to see even more! 2. I often group layers for big projects, and would like to be able to put a layer ABOVE the group and set it as a clipping mask ON the group. I don’t know if this is possible, but if it is, it would be really useful! Thank you!.Version: 5.3.7

Great appSo my Apple Pencil broke, as in the tip snapped, and now I have to make do with an old touchscreen pen. I am getting another Apple Pencil soon, but I have to use the touchscreen pen, which isn’t necessarily bad. Although, the pen makes it really insensitive and it’s really hard to zoom in and out and turn it around. The features are all great and it still works perfectly fine, but also the fact that the pressure feature and calligraphy pens don’t work as well, but I’m not putting that in the app, that is my own problem. It is hard to draw as you have to put a lot of pressure and when you do that, it says: undo *said instruction*, which is annoying, but I can deal with it. I don’t know if it is just from my experience, but I just wanted to put it out there just in case anyone else has that same problem. Other than all of that, it is a great app that I use everyday for my hand lettering and designs, I’m just saying, you might want to use an actual Apple Pencil or touchscreen pencil for stuff like this. Thank you..Version: 5.0.4

The Best £10 I’ve Ever SpentTrust me when I say I don’t use these words lightly. This app is incredible in every way. From ease of use, changes to brushes and effects to suit individual styles and touch interface/shortcuts, along with so many more functions they continue to add - such as symmetry, drawing guides, text, layer effects along the way. Just as I’m amazed at Procreate’s abilities they add more features to add to my ever growing adoration list for this app. This app has singlehandedly re-established my love of illustration and I couldn’t be happier having a hobby that’s brought me so much inner joy back into my life. Additionally, the developers allow updates and new features to be added naturally, rather than demanding more money for an updated version like so many others attempt to do. Meaning we as customers feel valued and like our purchase of the app is worthy. For that alone, I hold so much respect for everyone that contributes to this incredible app and I can only thank you all from the bottom of my heart..Version: 4.3.1

Best drawing app by far.Hi there, I’ve never actually taken the time to write up a review before, but I felt this was needed. As far as the app goes I think it’s amazing, especially for the price. If you compare it to photoshop which is about 10-20 pounds a MONTH. But I know it isn’t write to compare the two as I’m pretty sure photoshop was created more for the use of editing purposes rather than drawing although ofcourse you still can draw with it. I have no complaints to add although sometimes for me the app crashes which is a bit inconvenient but I never end up losing any progress so it’s not that much of a big deal, a feature I would love to see in the app is folders inside folders. As I have a very broad range of projects in my gallery I’d find it very useful to be able to put the already existing folders inside an extra folder which is not a very big feature to add but I feel would be very useful as at the moment my gallery is very unorganized and messy and hard to navigate around and find all my projects. But for anyone who’s into drawing, or painting art of any kind really I feel like it’s a must have, a necessity. Definitely worth the price for all that you get! 10/10 drawing app..Version: 5.1.5

Really good! Love this so much. So, this is a really good app- but it’s VERY confusing also. If you do not have tutorials (which this app does not) it’s very hard to understand how to do stuff. I just got this for 13 pounds and I’m not very impressed so far. Please let me know when you finally make a tutorial or something. Just needed to add something.. When you get used to the app, there are so many things you can do, and I really think it is worth the money. Tysm for making such an awesome app 🤪😇 Hiiiiii!! Me again. I just have to say that I LOVE THIS APP, and once you get used to it and have watched a few simple videos about how to do the basics, you fall in love with it. So many materials, so many ✨Possibilities✨ and you can do anything. Worth the money now, and best drawing app so far! Thanks so much!.Version: 5.3.4

It’s AwesomeI love this drawing app! I recommend it for digital artists. (Cause I’m not one lol).Version: 5.0.8

Without this app, I really wouldn’t bother buying an iPad.One (very very small) cost, you have this app for life. Every year or so the developers update it with amazing new features that are actually useful because they read their reviews and complaints. They know what their customers have asked for.. and they give it to them. Simple as that. The iPad is just an oversized iPhone without procreate. Seriously Apple should be thanking them for boosting sales. Procreate is the best app on the iPad and it keeps getting better.. can’t wait for Procreate 5 update!!!.Version: 4.3.9

Love it, but have been experiencing glitches latelyI’ve been using Procreate for a couple of years now, and I’ve been loving it. It has really helped my development as a digital artist since it is generally very easy to use and a polished drawing/painting experience. However, over the past couple of months it has been glitching to the point where I’m hesitant to start new projects except for commissions I’ve already been doing in Procreate. When I’m drawing or painting, I’ll frequently get lines that skip or come out squiggly, even when I’m using a consistent amount of pressure. The most annoying is when random lines start shooting out of the pen, usually at the end of a stroke. It got to a point where it even changed the opacity of my brush and closed me out of the app without me doing it. I’ve taken my iPad to the Apple Store and the diagnostics didn’t detect any hardware or screen issues, but I factory reset my iPad to make sure it wasn’t a software issue and the problem persists as much as it ever has. I still really love the app, when it’s working properly. It’s just a shame that these glitches are annoying at best and a hinderance at worst..Version: 5.3.1

Nice appThis app is so good when I got my Apple Pencil I just got the app so I love it 10/10.Version: 5.3.7

Honest ReviewAt first when I downloaded this, I thought I had just wasted my money but after a while, I got used to the app and it is definitely worth the money, better than any other drawing app I’ve ever used. On the left side of the screen there is a tab, at first I did not know what this was for but realised shortly that, the top on can control the size of the brush, the square in the middle is used as a colour picker and the bottom one is for the opacity of the brush. There are about 190 preset brushes and you can create your own. This app is also really good for organisation so if you’re a neat freak, this app is definitely for you. One thing I would also get with this app is an apple pencil, it’s much easier to draw with an apple pencil on this app than your finger or a stylus, especially because there is an settings/editing section for an apple pencil. Overall, this app is definitely worth it and I would recommend buying it and it’s much better than having to pay monthly but, can take a while to get used to so I would recommend creating a new canvas and trying out the different things like settings, brushes, blending, ext..Version: 5.1.5

If only the exporting was betterThis is definitely a decent app altogether, but the two problems I’ve been having is the quality of images after you export them and the animation. The art often looks great quality while your making it and in you procreate gallery, but once you go through the process of saving the image to your photo gallery, in a file, or sending it to someone, the drawing looks SO much more pixelated. I use my drawing tablet for procreate so it might be different on other devices, but I know for mine the image quality really ruins 5e whole experience as I can’t send a good looking art piece to anything with it still looking good before. My second problem is he never I try to use the animation feature and try to export it as animated pdf it not only has low quality, but majority of the time it DOESN'T EXPORT AS A VIDEO. This has definitely been a problem in multiple situations as I’ve only been able to export a working animation when doing gifs. It might be something that I’m doing wrong but I’ve been having this problem since I got this app and I REALLY need it fixed. If it weren’t for those unfortunate problems this would be a 5 star app. The problems(specifically the animation one) are fairly infuriating for me and ruin my overall experience with the app..Version: 5.1.5

Nice but one requestHello! I enjoy your app. Although, you added an animation feature, I have began to start using it BUT there are no layers and instead I struggle animating without layers because you have used layers. Sorry if I am complaining but either than that, I enjoy drawing pictures and when I use my pen it works well with procreate..Version: 5.1.8

Hands down the BEST drawing app I’ve ever used! After seeing CSP went to a subscription system and not having any luck with Adobe fresco, I saw a lot of reviews recommending Procreate. I was a bit nervous at first as some complained about it being hard to learn but that’s not the case at all. I’ve only had this for about a week or two now and I can already say I’m absolutely over the moon for Procreate! It’s incredibly easy to learn; (might be difficult for those who have never used digital drawing apps before) I didn’t have to use a single tutorial and have only used the help guide once, which by the way, is wonderfully laid out! The variety of brushes they provide are much more than what I could ever ask for and respond to pen pressure beautifully! There’s also an option to adjust the brush opacity which is incredibly helpful! My only gripe if I had to give one, is that I would like to see more options on the layer menu such as adjusting the layer opacity and having the ability to delete the layer. I’m sure those are both options but having them right there when you double tap the layer would be helpful. Other than that, it’s a great app! I would definitely recommend to anyone who needs a good on the go option..Version: 5.2.6

Wow! From an experienced digital artist. What an amazing app! I’ve been drawing digital art for a long time, and I’ve used a variety of hardware and software; Cintiq, Wacom Intuos, Photoshop, Medibang, Corel Draw, Illustrator, Autodesk Sketch, and more. But oh my gosh, I can never go back to anything else! Using the iPad with a proper pressure sensitive stylus and Procreate is better than any other combination of hardware and software I have ever used. I’m so used to my normal Photoshop workflow, which I’ve been settled into for years, that I was skeptical about being able to get used to another program. Boy, was I wrong. Procreate is so well designed and just works absolutely perfectly for me. My Wacom tablet has gone in the drawer and my Creative Cloud subscription is cancelled. I can’t possibly recommend this app and sing its praises enough. It’s unbelievable how powerful it is, especially for only $10. I’ve used more expensive software that was far less capable. The only tiny gripe I have is that I wish there was a way to turn off the automatic adjustment of adjacent colors when I use color dropping. I'm not sure what this feature might be called, but I can’t find a way to turn it off. Still, I don’t use color dropping to color most of the time anyways. So, 5 stars. EDIT: Figured out how to fix that one issue I had. Turns out it was my own lack of knowledge, not anything wrong with the app!.Version: 5.0.1

Great but there could be some improvements ❤️This app is worth your money. Unlike other apps where you have to pay each money, Procreate is a one time payment which I think is pretty nice! The app has many brushes, and you can always make your own or buy some from other people. I made many great art pieces on Procreate! It’s a nice app for IPad, and I would recommend it to other people. But…. There are some things that could use some improvements. First of all the private layer. I think that the private layer is VERY controversial. It does more harm than good. For example, somebody could trace art and nobody would know since it was a private layer. That isn’t good, and could get somebody into trouble. Also, some people who use the private layer say they use it as a reference. Well, just use the reference thing they have? It’s easy to use and much better than the private layer. Secondly, the paint bucket isn’t doing its job. It’s not filling in the things properly, even if it’s closed. Like, it will only change the things I want to fill to a different color or whatever. It’s hard to explain, but the tool bucket doesn’t work. Overall, everything else is really good! I would tell everyone to use it, as it’s a great app..Version: 5.3.3

Overall amazing, some issuesThere’s no denying that Procreate is an amazing app, and by far the best drawing app on the App Store. One of the additions that I was really excited for, however, was the animation tool. But sadly, I was disappointed. Don’t get me wrong, the animation system itself is fantastic. It’s reasonably easy to use, if a bit confusing at first. The let down was that there is no option to add audio. I believe that this would vastly improve the animation system and would bring it into regular use for me. Another thing that is slightly lacking are the paint brushes. Not going to lie, the ones that are there feel stiff, and not at all like real paint. Some of the newer ones are better, but the older ones either need to be replaced or updated. Anyways, if you’re thinking about buying this app for animation, I would recommend against it. However if you have used photoshop and own brushes, you can use them in Procreate! This gives you access to the vastly superior paint brushes available for purchase. Even without bonuses, the barebones app is still nice to use, it’s sleek and easy to navigate, and I’ve improved my digital art a lot through using it..Version: 5.1.8

Love it!The features are great!! I love the amount of brushes you can use and it’s fun to animate on! I love using this for experiments with techniques I don’t usually use..Version: 5.1.8

PROCREATE5When will it be released? I need this app like right now. Pleaseeeee.Version: 4.3.9

It could be betterThere r multiple things like accidentally making groups then not know how to delete them and when trying to download fonts or brushes i am not able to download then but overall it’s a good app.Version: 5.2.9

Love it - would love to see music in the animation featureAs the title says, I can’t express how much I love this app. The layout is simple and intuitive, more than any other platform. Everything flows so well and the amount of brushes they have in the library is insane. I was able to start with the ground up with digital art, and easily recommend this app to anyone who asks or is considering it, you won’t be disappointed!! One of the best thing about this app is how they’re constantly making updates, and Procreate 5 rocked my world. I genuinely appreciate this team for being so on top of things and continuously making it better! The animation feature recently allowed me to try animating and although it’s simple it has all I need - except for being able to import music to animate with. I don’t have anything to bargain with, but I can guarantee I will definitely sell my soul to this app if you allow this feature. Just putting it out there, if any admin reads this and even considers this as an option just know you would be able to make all my animating dreams come true, and I’m sure countless others. Procreate is my preferred animation app, and I’ve tried way too many others, but without music, I’m limited on what projects I can use this for. Either way, I love this app and would highly recommend!.Version: 5.0.2

Great App, but will there be an animation option? This app works brilliantly for people looking to get into digital art. It runs smoothly and paired with the Apple Pencil it is the closest thing I have found to the paper and pencil drawing experience. One question I do have however, is will there ever be an animation tool? There are many apps for iOS that allow you to draw frame by frame, however none of them are as easy to use and/or give as good as results as procreate. Currently, I have to draw each frame separately in this app to make sure they are the best they can be, and then transfer each frame to a stop motion app to combine. If there was an animation tool in procreate, it would be so much easier. No other app has a drawing experience quite so crisp, and being able to do all my art and animating work in one app would be incredible. I believe making this adjustment would be very worthwhile as I’m sure many other animators agree that at the moment, in order to animate, you often have to sacrifice the quality of the work as most animating apps are mediocre at best. Thank you for your time..Version: 5.0.1

Out of all the art programs I’ve used..I got an iPad Pro to replace my broken Cintiq Companion. While I have found that I love using the iPad Pro more for art, than I did with my cintiq, I thought I would eventually need to invest into an actual desktop PC to use my other programs like Clip Studio Paint (without a subscription fee), and just use Astropad with the iPad instead. But since I’ve tried out and used Procreate, that need and desire for having an actual PC to do art with other programs, has gone away. Out of all programs I’ve used in the past for art, from expensive ones like Photoshop to free ones like Krita, Procreate is the most enjoyable and easy to use program I’ve ever come across for making art. Though I will say that it was frustrating at first for me to learn Procreate, coming from a desktop background in art programs. So certain functions weren’t easily known for me to find and use right away, like I would expect to find and use in a desktop. So this required me to look things up and watch tutorials to learn where these functions are to access and use, like the quick use of flip canvas. But once I learned how things worked, its become my most favorite program to use for art. From rough concepts, to complete illustrations, I'm producing more art than I generally do on a regular basis than I had ever done in the past with other art programs, due to my enjoyment and ease of use with Procreate..Version: 4.2.4

Maybe one thing you can add?I love this app!! it's so easy to use and suits a lot of my needs when drawing. There's many brushes, like, over 100 at least, which is better than nearly every mobile drawing app!! other programs just have the simple 6 tools on the side, which i find really annoying. the one thing that would make this program even better is if we could use the clipping mask on multiple layers. for example say i've finished a drawing, and i wanna add some lighting or shading. i want to use the clipping mask so it fits perfectly, but i can't use it on every separate layer at the same time!! i now have to duplicate the artwork and merge every layer so i can add the shading, which is pretty inconvenient and takes up a little more storage :(( i would love if you could do something like that where the clipping mask works for all or multiple layers!! adding on to that, maybe a way where you can colour 'in the lines' without going over the lineart? i know some PC/computer programs do that and it would be pretty useful :)).Version: 5.0.7

Great art tool - lacking essential organization.Overall, I really love procreate as a personal and professional art tool. I’ve been using it for years, and it’s intuitive, powerful, easy to use with a ton of expansive art features, and even capabilities for custom brushes, color profiles, etc. The one thing procreate DESPERATELY needs is a better file organization system, or even the semblance of one. Adding a search bar for finding pieces. Most artists I know that use Procreate, like me, have hundreds and hundreds of pieces from their years of procreate use. Adding a search bar to find old pieces, or having a more in depth filing system would be excellent (‘Stacking’ only goes 1 layer deep, and can be tricky if not frustrating to maneuver). As well, simply adding ‘Files’ iOS app support would easily solve this issue as well. While I do appreciate Procreate’s gallery view to see all pieces, the lack of structure can be an impediment when trying to find pieces from even the past year. Filtering by name, year, tags, or even size, etc would be terrific! Again, overall, fantastic illustration tool! I’ve used it consistently for sketches and finished pieces alike over the years. The simple fix of a single search bar would easily make this a five star app. Definitely an essential for any illustrator with an iPad looking for a streamlined, comprehensive, and portable digital art tool..Version: 5.3.3

Amazing app!I just started using ProCreate and already I've seen a huge improvement of the quality of my drawings. For the last few years I've been using a different drawing app for iPad, and the quality just wasn't the same. I genuinely thought I was doing something wrong, but seriously, after using ProCreate, it made me realise that I really needed to get a new app. I now feel so much better about my drawings and even feel like I could start doing commissions. I'll definitely be recommending this to friends who want to draw on the iPad! The reason I give it four stars, however, is just because there are a few things I've already noticed that could definitely use some adjusting to make using the app better. Biggest thing is the reference layer. Amazing feature, but it would be good to be able to have multiple reference layers, if that is what's necessary to be able to fill in an object in a different layer. Sometimes it just isn't practical to use one layer as a reference, especially when incorporating colour into drawings. Second thing would be the smudging tool. It works alright, and I've been able to get the result I want so far, but I would highly recommend an actual blending tool being incorporated into the app. It would just add a quality to blending that the smudging tool can make a bit of a challenge to get. Overall though, amazing app and I am excited to continue using it!.Version: 5.0.7

Amazing App! But….Absolutely amazing app! Ever since I have had it, Procreate has amazed me with its wide array of brushes and features! I love the idea of being able to also download the brushes of others. As much as I love Procreate, there is something I really desire. I use Procreate to both illustrate and animate, and because of Procreate’s interface and features, I tend to use this app for animating more than others. I would love my procreate animation experience even more if we could import our own audio to animate too. This will definitely help a lot for lip-syncing and animation memes alike! I would love Procreate even more for if it had this feature, so I would be very grateful if you would possibly look into it. -Kind regards, A content user of Procreate :).Version: 5.3.6

Awesome! Definitely worth the price!I have only been using this app for less than a year, but it’s been amazing the whole time! Starting off, I was terrified that the price was like a subscription at first, but then I found out it was only a one time pay, which is great for my convenience! I heard about it, and when I heard it included art AND animation, I just had to get it! It has heaps of features, and all the brushes are great to use. Even though everything is great and awesome quality, there’s a little bit of critical feedback I’d like to give as well (all though I don’t think it should take down a single star!). With the animation, I feel as if it would be nice to add an audio feature. I understand why you wouldn’t add it in or anything, the app already has a lot of options. But I’d say a lot more people would buy it if it had audio in the animations! That’s the only reason I switch to FlipaClip in animation. One more thing is the fill bucket. I enjoy how fancy it is, and how much easier it is the fill a specific spot. But in some ways I believe the traditional “tap to fill” bucket works better. But I don’t think that really matters, since the whole app is amazing anyway. I used to use ibisPaint, a free drawing app, and I can say that ever since I got Procreate I only made my digital art there. So many things I love about this app, and I’m overall so happy that I bought it! 😊💖✨👍.Version: 5.0.7

Er mer gerd awesome 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟I’m not a great artist, but it’s so easy for me to express my little creativity using Procreate. I’m also not a pro (haha then why are you using PROcreate) but it’s so much fun to just sketch, especially because of the simple format. I have Procreate on my IPad, and usually use my Apple Pencil when I’m making art, so it feels almost like I am drawing on an actual piece of paper or a canvas, with an unlimited amount of art supplies at my fingertips. I do have a couple complaints/request/suggestion however... could you please add an easy to find help button that has a list of how to use / find different features? That would be extremely helpful, especially for people like me that have a bad habit of randomly pressing buttons until they find the right one 😅 Also sometimes when I finish doing a drawing or anything and I go back to the gallery it freezes and crashes the app, but I’m always able to open is again to find my art saved perfectly fine 👍🏻But besides the fact that sometimes it can be a little frustrating, I think Procreate is an awesome way of making art, no matter your skill level. Thank you so much for this amazing app! Hope all is well, Kat..Version: 5.1.4

Colour palette troubleHi, my name is Marie and I’m 15. I got into digital art a few years ago and I've just bought myself an iPad so I can use it to draw and do school work. got this app after a few friends recommended it to me and so far its been great. The only problem I've had is sometimes the colour wheel changes and the colours are dull and I cant get the colours I want. The first time it happened I deleted the app an downloaded it again but I lost everything I had drawn. Though it did fix the problem. It happened again but only when I choose the comic canvas. I've tried to change it back to the original colour wheel but nothing works. I don't know if this is the right platform to ask but I would like to know how I can change it back. I hope this made sense and you know what I’m talking about. Other than that small problem this app is fantastic..Version: 5.0.4

Buggy quick menu and some things need tweaking, but great app overallTrying to use the Apple Pencil too soon after selecting a quick menu option causes it to pop up an additional time at the location of the pencil, stifling drawing. For my workflow, this is a nuisance, and this bug has persisted ever since 5x (I suspect the addition of multiple quick menu presets had something to do with it). I already contacted support and they said this is a known issue, but it has persisted for 2 months now so it feels necessary to mention. In my last review where I mentioned lack of a proper stroke stabilizer, I was told to suggest it on the forums. Procreate should however already be aware that there is large demand for said feature, as one of the largest threads in suggestions (3 years old and counting) is dedicated to it, and moreover is already marked as “considered.” Streamline is inadequate and in many cases inferior to other programs’ options; please add proper stabilization options for line art. Lastly, flipping the canvas view should not be included in undo/redo history. It gets in the way constantly and really sticks out sorely when moving from other art programs. Losing subsequent steps unintentionally because you wanted to see the piece flipped when deciding to commit changes is really annoying when it just doesn’t happen in other apps..Version: 5.1.4

So fun!Taking a course with it at Udemy.com, its great so far!.Version: 4.2.3

Great app! I need help though-Hi! This is a amazing software and I definitely recommend using it. The only problem is that I have a iPadOS 14.0 which should allow me to use the face paint reference but I can’t seem to see it? I can only see the “canvas” and “image” choices. I hope you might be able to tell me why or how to fix it as I would love to draw on my face in procreate. Other then that a 10/10 app.Version: 5.1.2

Fantastic app for a variety of styles. This is a great app that I started using again after seeing a demonstration of Procreate’s perspective tools. The app has grown immensely from the early version that I used many years ago. As a professional artist working on comics, storyboards, commercial illustration and concept art I’ve found that I can use Procreate for almost all of my work which has left my cintiq companion gathering dust over the last few months. This app is so intuitive to use it is pretty astonishing! The only function I would like to see added to it at this time would be the ability to either save multiple perspective set-ups so that I can easily switch between different set-ups for different panels when working on comic pages rather than having to rearrange the perspective guide. I think a lot of sequential artists would appreciate this as you could then work up an entire page’s worth of panels rather than have to work through panel by panel or rearrange the perspective guide. Other than this suggestion, big thumbs up from me 👍👍👍.Version: 4.0.8

Best thing ever!As a customer, I have to say that Procreate exceeded my expectations! The user-friendly interface made it easy for me to dive into digital art, and the extensive brush options allowed me to express my creativity in unique ways. The regular updates show a commitment to improvement, making it worth every penny. I highly recommend Procreate for anyone passionate about digital art..Version: 5.3.7

Amazing butHow do I make the fill consider all layers since I made a new one for the color so I can fill the linart and to mater where I drag no matter what I make the threshold is just paints the intire canvas and I can’t find anything in the handbook so if you could reply with an aw set that would be amazing.Version: 5.1.8

Great! BUT a few major flawsSo I’ve been using procreate for almost a full year now. Honestly one of the best drawing apps due to the design of it. However I do have a few MAJOR gripes about the app. I’m a very particular about organization and I usually store my art in folders within folders, within other folders, and so on. Procreate obviously doesn’t have this feature since stacks are only allowed to be made. Another gripe I have is the lack of a “recently deleted” section in the app, once artworks are deleted they’re gone forever. I’ve only realized how troublesome this was because a friend of mine wanted to know what was the biggest canvas/file I have in my gallery. As I was looking through the gallery I had realized that I had accidentally deleted my “completion” stack (I don’t know when I had accidentally deleted it, but it was already too late for anything to be done, plus I hadn’t really notice it since my completion stack is at the bottom of my gallery). I am a bit bummed about it since I like saving art to see how much I’ve grown, but what can I do about it. I hope that procreate implements these features or similar ones to these problems, because it’s honestly what’s holding the app back in my opinion. The UI of the app is simple and isn’t overwhelming at all compared to other programs. Along with that they provide versatile default brushes. It’s just a great app!!….. apart from the lack of folders and recently deleted section like I mentioned..Version: 5.1.8

Amazing!!!This app is absolutely amazing, just one thing, I would like it if it had something for making seamless images or tiles, sort of like kritas Wrap around mode, Other than that, I am seriously Impressed you managed to make an Art app as good as this for iPad. :).Version: 5.1.5

Great Great GREAT drawing app.I love how you can make your own brushes, rewatch ur work in speed. And many more things! Most of the one star reviews on procreate is because they don’t know how to work it! It’s very amazing and once your a pro with PrOCrEAcTe- you can really do some beautiful art works. Thanks for making this! Super good drawing app! :).Version: 5.2.7

Proimate?I really enjoy this app, it’s one of the best drawing programs I’ve used. However I recently started to dabble with the animation feature and I have to say it’s lacking a fair bit and could really do with an overhaul, I’m not a pro animator so I can’t say all that needs improving but one of the biggest things for me that stops it from being great is the layers; having to create folders for each frame so I can do cleans and whatnot is a nightmare and seriously hinders the workflow trying to edit frames, it would be great if it did it automatically and showed multiple layers in folders on the timeline as multiple lines. Another thing would be that there’s no independent onion skins; not being able to set the amount of skins independently for forward and back gets a bit annoying and messy. One more thing, the presets… Come on, who animates at 15 fps? Heathens that’s who, 12 and 24 are the standards, you’re setting up some new animators that aren’t aware with a real bad habit. Anyway, I don’t think it would take much tinkering with the animation feature for procreate to beat 90% of the other animation apps available and I think it’d definitely be worth it since right now trying to do anything more than a simple 10 second animation is like pulling teeth and it has the potential to be so much better..Version: 5.2.6

Great app, but really needs to ask “Are you sure?”I’ve used many types of creative software and apps and this app is very very good. But with all of the time that goes into creating artwork, you really need to ensure it’s not lost in a moment. To accidentally press Gallery and find you have saved your progress for good or for bad, without being able to click undo if you didn’t mean to is a big problem for those of us with little time available. So the app really needs to ask “Are you sure you want to exit?” to avoid hours of work being ruined. It would be a 5 star app if it had this. When you are in the zone and being creative, you sometimes press the wrong button. Mostly it’s just an error you can undo, but click “gallery” and you are scuppered. Please sort this out! Thank you for a great app. :).Version: 5.1.5

Great app! This is an amazing app! I love all the brushes and texture! Also amazing features! But the one problem is a bug? (I think) it’s when I’m using the app the colors turn from like vibrant to grayish Example: red to (grayish) orange and blue to (grayish) blue! Everything is a bit sadder looking! Please help! I can’t draw like this..Version: 5.0.4

Curve TextI really truly do love this app, it is great. However there are some things that are just so time consuming like trying to curve text for example. it is such a long and drawn out process, i would love if the developers could please make an easier way to curve text, like a “Fit To Path” option or something. and even having the option to drop a transparent colour option to completely remove colour in a box for example instead of having to use the eraser etc. But all in all such a great app.Version: 5.2.6

The best app you could think ofI never rate apps. Actually, I probably never did. But this app is probably THE best purchase I’ve done on the App Store. It’s incredible, suitable for all levels, extremely smart and easy to learn. I LOVE IT..Version: 4.3.9

Issue with new update.Just having a minor problem with the latest update. Whenever I Duplicate a file from one of the folders it duplicates it outside of it like on the main gallery on Procreate rather than duplicating within the folder..Version: 4.3.5

Absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE this app, but a one little thing..Again, I adore this app!! I think I’ve had it for a couple of years now and it’s been the pinnacle of my art. I’ve never had a better program to do my art works onto until I found this app from a friend! (Even convinced me to get a new iPad with an Apple pen 👀) But with the newer update there was one thing added I was super excited for! And that was the reference option, where you can add an image on the sidelines without actual placing it onto a layer and wasting it. But when I got to use it, I wanted to scale it down slightly since when I zoom in, it takes almost the full page, but was disappointed to find out I couldn’t do such a thing, and I just went back to placing them back onto a seperate layer. I haven’t a clue if there is an option to Scale it down since I didn’t spend as much time with it unfortunately. But with that complaint aside, everything else is perfect!! I have high hopes for this app and it’s exceeding even my amateur expectations! Glad I’m apart of this gorgeous community and team! Thank you so much for all the things you’ve given to us..Version: 5.1

Absolutely incredible killer appThis app is incredible. It literally made me buy an iPad Pro. However, make sure you have a plan or ample space to backup the app if you need to replace the iPad or in case you lose it. Otherwise, just an absolutely stunning, smooth, deep and rewarding drawing experience..Version: 4.2.5

Has many probelms but its okThe colour drop/fill tool always has problems and even when i have a solid outline it still just fills other parts of the drawing too not just the part i want it to, its not with the layers i always check … i got this app because this feature was one of my favourite but its a dissapointment that it doesnt work very well . It has other problems as well like brushes being giant for some reason after i pick them and the colour pallette no longer letting me see the original ones only the one i made . Its very annoying. It does have some great things though such as symmetry, drawing guides , layers , adjusment tools and animatation but the animation i found hard to use and i dont know how to export the things i have animated to my camera roll . Despite those its a pretty good drawing app maybe a bit overpriced for just an app.Version: 5.3

I Love Procreate, but...I absolutely love procreate, it is such a great app for any iPad. I love all the ways to select a colour to make it your comfort style, and the perfect range of brushes, but I’ll get to the point that I wrote this. It gets pixelated. I have seen some apps where it doesn’t get pixelated, and I thought maybe you can try. I don’t know the names of those apps but I can research if you would like! It kind of annoys me when I have to draw that one small thing, then when I do, it turns all into little squares. I really don’t mind if you can’t fix this, because no matter what I will always love this app! I understand that you probably didn’t do this when in the process of making the app because it was difficult. Thank you. :).Version: 4.3.8

Version 5I still love this product - by far the most used and appreciated graphics app I have. The only gripe I have is with the latest update the automatic select colour option has stopped working in the selection tool. Whenever I try using it, the whole layer is selected instead of just the selected colour, which prevents me copying and overlaying for various tasks. I can still use the freehand selection, but it’s very time consuming and far less user friendly. Still one of the best apps available - hands down. * Edited to add - I found that you can alter the colour threshold setting which makes it functional again. Nice feature making this adjustable - but it’s frustratingly hidden! There’s so many useful and amazing features in this app, but you need to hunt for most of them! A full comprehensive tutorial would be beneficial for most users. I’m sure I’m missing some features that I’d love just because the interface is so streamlined. (Still my favourite app!).Version: 5.0

New animation featureI almost cried of joy at this new animation feature. Being able to create animations within this app using the layers as frames is amazing! Usually I would have to draw each frame, export, then compile the images and shorten into a video..Version: 4.3.3

The best art app out thereAs someone who bought an iPad purely for creating art, it was a good couple of years before I found Procreate, and when I initially bought it I was so scared of leaving behind what I had been used to for two years that I didn’t try it much for about another year. One evening I decided to look at something I sketched to get used to it, and just started playing around with the features, and before I knew it, it was 4am. I’ve never gone back to the main app I used before then, InspirePro. Procreate is incredibly intuitive and very user friendly, and you can achieve reasonable results fair quickly. It supports broad file formats, and the quick replay is a wonderful feature that I found by accident. I’ve started playing with Affinity Designer as well, however, this is something I know I’ll be using in conjunction with Procreate. I couldn’t recommend it more..Version: 4.2.5

Awesome, flexible app!I bought this app today having high expectation as I had heard it was exceptional from many friends who already use it. I was very excited and once I downloaded it, I immediately started checking out all of the features. I used Ibis Paint previously to draw, FlipaClip prior to that and I must say, while Procreate has what feels like a never ending supply of options, it’s very hard to know what does what if you’re new to art. I can appreciate how Ibis provides a tutorial and explanation when you first start out with the app, and considering this app has even more opertunities for new options, I feel a quick tutorial would be very helpful. The tools in general are very impressive in general, but I feel the fill bucket draws me away a little from this feature. It is far to difficult and complex to figure out and I feel the option to just ‘click and fill’ would be more conventional and easy. Otherwise, it’s a very advanced app!.Version: 5.3.4

Read this if you are unsure of buying procreate!I love procreate and you should too. Procreate has made art so much easier and it is defiantly worth buying. I understand that it cost quite a lot of money in buying this but it is so worth it. Even if you are a beginner at art you will get use to procreate because it makes art so much easier. I know I have repeated myself quite a lot but procreate is worth buying! If you are an artist you should buy procreate because it I cheeper than buying all the art supplies you need for traditional art. In procreate there are so much brushes to choose from plus you can make your own. There are more features but I won’t tell you, you just have to figure it out yourself buy buying procreate. To the creator of procreate I have a question. Does the filter thing in the new update wok on an iPad mini?.Version: 5.1.1

It’s wonderful!I love Procreate so much, having a iPad Pro with a Apple Pencil works so well with this app, the price is worth buying it. Tbh I stop using my laptop for drawing since the drawing and painting feels so natural and smooth though sometimes when I try to use the short cuts it won’t work other than that it’s works like a charm. There are some things that could be worked on, color picking a color from a reference or from the color wheel isn’t the exactly what it should look like while painting with it, it’s a little bit off, though It’s not noticeable at first (it’s not a big problem at all it just something I’ve noticed while using Procreate over the years) and now the blending tool, the blending tool can be really good but sometimes the blending tool can be frustrating to work with and sometimes while blending it makes the color muddy or won’t give a nice type a texture, I know sometimes it can be what brush you use for the blending tool. It would be nice to get a better version of it, also it might be a bug or something but when I leave a painting and go back I lose some of the progress of the painting and I haft to redo what I’ve already done. Other than those small details this is the best app for everyone it’s easy to use, you can create masterpieces with it, I wouldn’t go to another drawing app, I would say THIS is a app that you should try out. Everyone from 3 to 90 years old can use this app. It’s the best app out there just get it try it out !!!!!!.Version: 4.0.10

The best art prog on ipadThis is a really brilliant app. I’m used to drawing cartoons in a subscription based prog on a desktop and this blows it away. Like others here i bought the ipad purely to use Procreate. I love it and i love the fact it’s non subscription based and comes from Tasmania! I found the importing brush and palettes option a major plus. There are some excellent 3rd party cartoony line brushes available. Procreate doesn’t have a text option so i use one of the many text to photo apps out there. It also currently lacks a crop tool so i crop in ‘photos’. I’m using Procreate every day all day and can’t recommend it more highly. It’s never crashed or frozen on me. I can see the day is dawning when i never have to use a desktop again. A major ‘thank you’ to the guys at Savage for coming up with such a great tool..Version: 4.0.8

LITTERALLY THE BEST APP EVERSo me being a student and needing to get posters done and art lessons too, I needed an app that would be fun to use and would get me good grades so I was patrolling the AppStore for an app that would tick both box’s but I couldn’t find one. Then all of my friends had this app called procreate so I checked it out but then I saw that is was $15 and I was like no way, but one of my friend said I will pay for it and if you don’t like it in two days then you don’t have to pay me back but if I liked in 2 days then I would pay her the $15. So I got procreate and did an assignment that was worth 25% and I got a high distinction! So I quickly drove to my friends house and gave her $30. Anyway so the point is that procreate is the best and the brushes and the pallets and everything is the best and to those of you who are reading this comment and are unsure whether to buy it do it because it is soooooooo worth it! P.s - developer if you are reading this could you please add audio but if you can’t that is totally ok I just want to make a proper animation..Version: 5.1.6

A good art program, but could use a couple of fixesI really enjoy using Procreate and plan to use it a lot more in the future, but I have run into a few problems I will state below. - I like how your ‘stabiliser’ works, but it is very agitating when I’m doing line art. The streamline feature seems only good when using for Lettering and Calligraphy, but when I use it for line art it is very slow and when I try to use it fast it does not fit the exact from I want it to be, and the line is also still jittery. - The fill tool is helpful when it is on the same layer but when I use it on an upper or lower layer it just fills the whole screen? If there is a way to fix this and I haven’t found it, please can you make it more clear to the users. - Please can you add a blur tool. I don’t know if one exists besides the smudge tool, but I do not like using the smudge because it messes up my drawings a lot and tends to frustrate me. That is all of my complications with this app, otherwise I highly enjoy using this, thank you for taking the time and patience to read this..Version: 4.3.1
