Great potential but a few bugsI really like this app even with its bugs Good things ; The speeding up and slowing of music is really helpful Jeffs motivating talking now and then is good Being able to set a ratio of walk run walk is really nice. It was this that kept me using this app Bad things ; You can't stop the music unless you're in a session You have to start a session to be able to edit playlists Overall I can live with the bugs because this is the first time I've been able to stick with any sort of fitness program The run/walk/run method is really great and a perfect introduction to running for anyone who has had trouble sticking with any type of running program before.Version: 1.2.5

Abandoned appThis apps work OK for the first round through the 5K. It had many issues as flagged by others especially around music. It plays the same few songs over and over and won’t let you access your music. This was OK the first time through. As I tried the second mode to improve my 5K time the app didn’t function at all. It didn’t track intervals which is kind of the point. It’s not functioning midway through and didn’t track my run at all. Very frustrating. The app hasn’t been updated in years. The one positive is that I realize the lack of functionality before I bought the 10K, half marathon, and Marathon package. I have most of the Lolo apps and they’re good quality – except they seem to have been abandoned. It’s too bad because with an update this app would be a good one. The idea of the run walk intervals is great and I suggest you look it up and apply it to Your runs. It’s really reduced my recovery time and made it do I can run farther and longer. You don’t need this frustrating app to leverage the method..Version: 2.0.8

So...First time out using it I like the coaching the downfall is does not pair with Apple Watch so I can run without my phone and I do not like the music they chose. Because I want to program with good coaching I'm going to stick with it I would give it a five star if those two things were in place. Thanks.Version: 2.0.8

Great potential but the functionality just isn’t thereVery buggy. This has great potential but the functionality just isn’t there. It crashes a lot when you try to upload music. The journal says day numbers rather than workout numbers, so if you start mid way through he program it tells you you are on day 7 rather than w3 d1. Also you cannot add notes to the journal history. Worst of all the stats are wrong. I just ran 1.9 miles outisde and it is telling me I ran 3.1 miles with an 8 minute mile pace! GPS works well with other apps, so I presume this is an issue with this app rather than GPS. As well as fixing the bugs, it would be helpful if the developers would add vibrate as well as the audio cue to change between running and walking..Version: 1.2.1

Buggy...Annoying bugs exist in this app, I managed to get it when it was free, glad I never paid. It changes the BPM of your music to match a certain beat.. Problem is it makes the music sound terrible! I set it for 4min run 1 min walk and it started a 20 min run, no way to change it when the program had started. Your playlist starts playing when you open the app, no way to stop the music unless you start a training program.. The american guys voice is super annoying.. Like bob Ross. You can turn him off. I bought run meter instead for £1.99.Version: 1.2.5

Very PoorI was looking for a more customisable app to help with my interval running training and this is just annoying. When leaving the app to start my podcast playing the app stops timing. So I start it again and as soon as jeffs (rather annoying) voiceover starts the music stops. So I have to leave the app again to start it... and so the cycle repeats. Yes I can play music from my music app from within this app but I want to listen to podcasts! A waste of money. App has been deleted..Version: 2.0.8

Run away from this app!Wish I could give this a zero because I could not even get past the registration screen of this app. The error message is incomprehensible and from the looks of the lolofit site support for this app has been abandoned. I have written to the customer support email and if I hear back I will update this review. Not hopeful. Not sure why people are still able to download this! What a waste..Version: 2.0.8

Improvements neededI love Lolo's other apps but as a running app, this one falls short. Why does it track your location in the background when you're not using the app? Other apps have an always, never or only when using option. And the voice over guy just talks way too much..Version: 2.0.8

Promising but very buggyAfter reviewing similar apps to this I decided to give it a go. The best thing being its ability to adjust the beats per minute of the songs you choose to fit the pace of the exercise (slows when walking and quickens while running), which I found very helpful to regulate my pace and breathing. The audio from Jeff is also very good at keeping you motivated. However the app has crashed or frozen mid workout far too often for me to rely on it. It's a real shame and I hope future updates address the instability of the app..Version: 1.1.0

Pacing problemsI liked the setup of this app but had a very difficult time using and understanding its pacing. I wanted to train for an 11:30 paced 5k but had to choose either 11min or 12min race pace (no in-between options). Then for the first workout it wanted me to do my first 30min (easy?) run with a 9:20/mile pace on the run segment- waaaay fast for me - and a 20:00/mi pace on the walk! I tried to manually slow down the pace for the run segments but again the options for pacing were extremely limited. Unfortunately I won't be able to use this for my training after all and feel it was a waste of money..Version: 2.0.8

GPS feature isn’t workingLike everything but the gps feature doesn’t work. On long run days it doesn’t stop after I’ve hit the mileage or even after I’ve hit the allotted time..Version: 2.0.8

Used to love itBut now it no longer tracks my distance and it randomly changes the pace on me and skips to the next day as my phone screen doesn't lock when this app is on. The help topics cover nothing technical or trouble shooting . Wouldn't buy.Version: 2.0.8

This is not okIt advertises on here that it would work with Apple Music which it most definitely does not do no matter what, what is the point if you can’t use your music? Don’t say that it does and once we pay for it and try to use it it won’t work. Very very disappointed and would not stop until I get my money back..Version: 2.0.8

DisappointedI was looking forward to this app only to be left disappointed. I set everything up the night before. Found out the most of my usual playlist can't be used and I'm not a fan of the music provided. Decided to deal with it. Set it to start at week two since I've been regularly running for 40-60 minutes. Start the app this morning and it had reset to day one. I had selected a 16 min mile 30 seconds longer than I've been doing. Well this app includes the walking in your mile time so my run intervals were much faster than I'm used to. My warmup is always nice and slow due to arthritic back and hips. I need the 16 minute program in more pain than when I started. While I love the Galloway method this app was a waste of money and I won't be using it again..Version: 2.0.8

Interval training does not workUnfortunately the interval training function does not work at all when you move to the more advanced mode. There is also no help website and no one to send a message to. The app has not had an update in 3 years so I assume it is now not compatible with the new phones out. It’s too bad because it is a great program otherwise..Version: 2.0.8

Way too quietHis voice is so quiet you can't even hear his direction. It sounds like he's saying a lot at the beginning and end but you have to turn the music up so loud to try and hear him it's impossible. The app is pretty useless without being able to hear when to walk and run and his directions. I wish you could turn up the volume of his voice..Version: 2.0.8

Ok training but Apple music doesn’t workI got this app to try and improve my 5k time and help prevent injury. The training program itself is good and I enjoyed the additional info while running. The biggest problem is that I have Apple Music and every track I tried to add says apple doesn’t allow third parties to play protected music and so none of my downloaded music could be played. I probably won’t continue with the program because it’s not much fun running in silence!..... if I’m doing something wrong I couldn’t see what it was.....Version: 2.0.8

3 years old and it showsBeen using for 3 weeks now. It’s a shame the App hasn’t been updated in 3 years. No Apple Watch integration and the lack of Apple Music support (even without beat syncing) is disappointing. It feels like a 3 year old App..Version: 2.0.8

5k - misinformationI ran the 5K this morning. I did Week #6/Day#1. I usually use this app and my Garmin to see how close they are , well this morning I was really disappointed, my Garmin show I ran 1.86 miles in 33:33 min. My 5K app showed that I ran for 23:55 and I ran for 4.86 miles. So, the app said I ran for 10 minutes less then the Garmin and I did more then 3 miles further. I have the GPS turned on when I run, up to today they been pretty close, but today I was shocked. So, what’s up with the App?.Version: 2.0.8

Motivating and funThe coaching and reminders are great. I don’t think I could have run 3 miles without Jess’s encouragement. That said, the app integration with Facebook is totally broken. The “customer support” is dreadful. Five stars to Jeff Galloway, 1 star to the app developer..Version: 2.0.8

Not a couch to 5k app - Keeps crashingGood app but I was hoping to use it with my friends doing the couch to 5k program.. This app doesn't allow u to pick the c25k starting ratio of 1min run/90secs walk.. It also doesn't suggest the ratio u should be using for the progressive weeks of the ultimate 5k program.. And when I tried to use the gps it just kept crashing.. Not great when u are relying on it to tell u when to walk/run.. Disappointed I wasted my money...Version: 1.1.0

Good but could be greatThis was brought for me to help me recover from a knee replacement, I like it very much EXCEPT I can’t hear the instructions when I have the music playing. This is important because the music keeps me going but it is useless if I can’t hear when to walk or run or how long I have left.Version: 2.0.8
