✓ Chariot RacerOur Accutrak camera gave it up last week. My husband took it apart and was trying to find a schematic for it when he happened across this app. Amazing!!! Although it can not be used for official time records, such as the AQHA, it works nicely for our chariot club. My husband made a holder for the ipod on a tripod and our 13 year old granddaughter took the win photos from under a covered grandstand with the track to the north side. Sometimes not the optimum lighting conditions for any camera, but the photos from this app were very clear. There are so many features and it is so user friendly. Our granddaughter downloaded the program on Saturday morning, tested it with a few "car runs" and then a "tractor run" before taking official chariot racing finish line photos on Sunday. We had some bugs with the times but with this app's extras, such as motion detecting the finish and starting the time from sound, we are excited to experiment with it. ✓ Very Handy!!As a track coach, I needed something that could provide our team with more accurate results compared to a stopwatch. We were a little skeptical at first, but SprintTImer has been fantastic for us! We use it at every meet to time every race. I think the best feature is being able to see exactly when a runner crosses to have an exact time. I haven’t gotten the Start Timer option to work like I want it to yet but it’s not a problem. We have two people record with their iPhones, one person put the athletes in the order they crossed the finish line and one person to record names. This app is flawless. It does exactly what it says it does - and it does it very well. The recent updates make it even better. ✓ Great appThis is a fantastic app for timing on any track event or fitness test where time is measured. One device to time all runners. I find the video option better to get a clear idea of who the runners are as the photo one blurs the image slightly. It's easy to use and you don't record the full race. Race over? Just scroll the time bar at the bottom of the screen and the runners will appear showing their time in the top right corner of the screen. The children have loved it! Only downfall I've experienced is some recordings didn't save..Version: 6.6

Most of the timing systems are well over $1000 and are not very user friendly. This app is the best thing since sliced bread in our opinion. ✓ Bicycle RacingI've been researching finish line camera systems for our cycling events and along the way found this neat little app. While SprintTimer has some limitations, it is a remarkable tool for the cost and "always in your pocket" ease-of-use. ✓ Wonderful Photofinish AppThis app replaces many thousands of dollars worth of equipment. We use it at our short track ice speed skating club. In photofinish mode we use it to time our races, which both gives us far better accuracy than we had with stopwatches, and also simplifies the record keeping. ✓ Super appThis is a fantastic app. To start, it is at times hard to figure out but once some of its nuances have been noted, it is brilliant. There are a few improvements and these are mainly to the user interface. I have used in on an iPad and I see know reason why the app should only work in portrait mode. The saving of files and photos also take some getting use to. The use of time stamp to name files is great but an edit option so that one can give an event an familiar name would be better particularly if you are using it for a number of races in quick succession. Using the time stamp to differentiate races becomes hard work. On balance a great app and worth the price..Version: 9.0

Instead, we use this app during practice and for meets. We have the option to configure using one or more iPads. When using two iPads, we use the Start Sender app with the Photo/Video Finish to get immediate times. Athletes love the accuracy this app provides them. ✓ Awesome app but can still be improvedI have been using this app to time myself at the rc track and slot car track. Maybe I need to play with the settings some more but I think it may be picking up the car twice as it goes by or something. A minimum time input would fix this. For example, if I'm running 30 sec. laps (and a 25 sec. is impossible) then I could set the minimum time to 25 and it wouldn't be able to count a lap until after 25 sec from the last lap.
