✓ Addictive and expensiveThis is the third time I’ve been asked to review this app and every time the same review I submitted before is still here. Maybe they only accept positive reviews??? This info is still the same but I counted 58 dice that I didn’t have available in the dice claw so can’t understand why I keep getting duplicates. This game is lots of fun and there are activities that will interest everyone...however...to get scores good enough to win tournaments, you need to have bonus rolls, which cost money. This game is very creative at finding ways to ensure you use your bonus rolls so that you purchase more. The game has good graphics but also runs your phone battery down quickly. It is easy to spend $20 on bonus rolls that don’t last the day. You also enter events where the reward you earn is dice that they choose. So money is spent to play an event where the reward is not tangible and isn’t even something you want. SO....if bonus rolls weren’t needed in every event and so expensive to purchase, this would be the best game ever..Version: 6.12.1

✓ FrustratingSince the last update I can only play one game st a time before it chucks me off and uses so much power. Keep it simple guys. Too much going on that it freezes all the time. ✓ Too cluttered, too many extra stepsFirst off the app is a massive battery drain, I can go from 100% to 30% if I play for 30 minutes. The layout of the game makes things hard to figure out. It’s hard to tell apart the games that people have taken their turns on and are waiting for yours. Also, when you get a reward you shouldn’t have to tap the screen a second time to receive it. Just let it pop up and add the reward to your account. The dice claw is a ripoff. If you already have the set of dice you win you don’t get a chance to try again or an automatic substitute, the set is just marked as being “new” in your collection even if it’s a set you’ve had for years. It’s hard enough to win tokens for the prize claw without them being wasted. And I’ve stopped playing the weekly challenge because the amount of points it takes to win is ridiculous and pretty much requires you to constantly play. Overall it’s ok but I miss the far less cluttered and clean interface of the original..Version: 5.5.7
✓ Long term player reviewI was encouraged to download and play this game by friends. I have been playing for a year or more. My observations: 1. Resource Hog. It now is the app on my phone using the most data space only beaten by the Apple TV app. I periodically have to Offload App and redownload to reclaim space. 2. Always encouraging spend to maximise their profits, a really bad example of a freemium game. I have never spent, and will never spend, anything with them as a matter of principle and have progressed albeit really slowly. 3. Utterly rigged and not a game of chance. Gives you the throws you need when you don’t need them and vice-versa - obviously and blatantly. 4. Constantly freezes during and after ads. 5. Social messaging full of romance scammers who constantly want you to go offline to Google Chat. Winding them up is sometimes more interesting than the game itself. Despite this I have invested too much time and effort, but never money, to give up on it. However if you are thinking of downloading it for the first time, I’d advise you to look elsewhere - there’s far better out there..Version: 8.31.0
✓ Was a great gameThis is the second time I’ve downloaded the game. The ad free honeymoon period was really terrific. I think it’s a very different platform now from the first time I used it a number of years back. I’m of the mindset that I’d rather purchase a game outright and play to win playing other people and or earn rewards without ads and in app purchases. ✓ Not fun anymore-computer cheats-even after updates!Why do you find the need to forfeit my games?! I have never personally done so. Please stop this it looks bad in our stats. When I first began to play it was awesome. Then I noticed when playing the masters tournaments, their first roll is usually 5 of a kind. All of my rolls consisted of very low numbers with 1 pair if I was lucky. Masters get multiple 5 of a kind which is BS. They want you to put money into the game which I have with very little reward. When I contact them I always provide screen shot to prove my case. I do not know who is fielding the questions/complaints, but I have proven they give contradicting responses. No offer to compensate with extra diamonds, rolls or even special dice for the trouble. Scratch offs are a joke. Out of 24 scratch offs I got 3 yes 3 bonus rolls. I have spent money on this game thinking my odds for beating the masters would go up..NOT ! I am getting tired of the games. BS. I played 8 masters yesterday and did not win ONCE! ✓ Be careful what you tap onJust as I was tapping on a game to open it, a pop-up appeared instead which was for purchases, so I inadvertently tapped on it and accidentally made a rather expensive purchase which I didn’t need. I immediately contacted the game support but never received an answer so went through Apple payments but could never recover my money. ✓ It’s too muchAfter 10 years or more of playing this game, I’ve deleted it. There’s way too many side games and it’s overwhelming. If you don’t do them all it’s hard to make enough progress in the rest for it to be worth it. One of these even requires a “how to” video- nope!!!! It’s not as if you’re forced to play it all, but here’s how the user experience goes: you open the app and see there’s a red 6 or 8 for “news” items on that icon. You tap that and it’s the same “news” that is reposted every week. You scroll through it to make the notification go away and while you’re on one a pop up appears for the very same thing you’re already reading. You finish that and another pop up interrupts for something else you just read. You go back to the home page to finally play and a pop up comes up to join a family, which you did ages ago and are active with. There’s no way to opt out of these. Get the idea? ✓ Game is riggedI now fully believe this game is rigged. It started out being very fun but now I think it’s just a money pit. Your chance to win more than 1 die on a scratcher is slim to none and it’s the same for the money wheels and winning the jackpot…even if you buy extra spins at the end of one to increase your chances, you still don’t win the jackpot. I’ve heard of 1 or 2 people winning the 500 dice on the album but that’s pretty much slim to none as well. I used to spend quite a bit of money on this game but no more! Also, it’s been suggested that all the tapping stop. Why can’t you group all the types of packs together and say how many you won and open them all at the same time?! I’m SO tired of tapping. This game needs some major improvements because I haven’t even talked about all the glitches. And why do I have to watch an ad all the time - especially when it’s something I already have. This is extremely frustrating and I’m just about done. ✓ Not a fan of the latest update3-stars, but only because I enjoy the concept of the game. Dice with Buddies recently updated its app and I am extremely disappointed with the result. This update has created too much clutter. I have paid for a gaming experience without ads, but Dice With Buddies has decided to replace those ads with internal ones: “Dice Showdown” or “Buy Scratchers.” Additionally, there are too many suggestions for starting new games and tournaments. I have to scroll past a minimum of three “suggested matches” to get to the actual matches I want to play. There is no way to turn off the suggested matches and it’s annoying. Also, the “rewards” have gotten out of hand. Multiple scratchers, prize claws, pets, coins, gift grabs, tournaments and more. It’s way too much and creates a much less pleasurable and much more aggravating gaming experience. The events and news features have also gotten out of hand, but they’re not as bad as the rewards. One additional issue I have had is with notifications. Even before the update, I was not receiving game updates or badges. Yes, my iPhone settings have been set up with notifications and badges on. I contacted the DWB support team and they say it’s a common issue, but they have not resolved the issue or helped me much. I would suggest fixing the notification issue and tailoring back some of these ridiculous updates or at least creating an option to turn some of these unnecessary nuisances off..Version: 5.5.7

✓ Dice with buddies/ADDsIt’s bad enough to have adds overlapping adds, and now the adds are getting to be way longer than 30 seconds. Did the pandemic have something to do with it? NOT…. It’s getting pretty ridiculous so now I get out and to play on another site WHENEVER THEY SURPASS 30 seconds (and that’s bad enough, I want to play, not watch the same thing over an over again, I’m not a robot… GET REAL !! I’ve told some people to start doing the same thing!! ✓ Still fun to play, but...The game is still fun, but I miss when you could pick the dice you wanted to buy, rather than being forced to receive random dice you don’t want. When you manage to get lucky enough to receive 2 sets of the same kind of certain dice, effects are added to make them ‘Super Dice,’ which is more distracting than interesting, so I find it better to turn off Super Dice in the settings. The old dice had really cool effects too... they would highlight in unique ways as you selected the ones you were holding before rolling again. Now they just lamely outline in green or something. The scratchers are still fun and I like the tournaments, leagues and Gift Grab activities, and really enjoy the High-Rollers challenges. Dicemasters are ok, but I could do without them. It was more fun when you could work your way up a Dicemaster ladder to win some cool dice rather than the coins or tokens you get now. The game also glitches every few days when trying to watch the ads for free rolls and scratchers. The only way I have found to fix it is to reinstall the app. This wouldn’t be a big deal, except the game forces you to rewatch all the welcome tutorials for different activities, even after it recognizes that you have played before. Overall, the game is very functional if you like to play Yahtzee!, and it’s fun to chat now and then with your opponents..Version: 6.0.1
✓ Very frustrating!This new version is nowhere near as good as it used to be. Amongst other things, one of the biggest frustrations are the pop ups that come up but you can’t get rid of then! ✓ Not thrilled with dice changesI used to love this game and I played it a lot! Stopped for quite some time and I recently got back into it only to find out some of the changes really stink IMO. I hate how you work so hard to get dice and then you can end up getting dice you already have. I liked when you could choose the dice you get. I also don’t like how there are so many dice that have numbers instead of the traditional dot patterns, and of course almost all the dice I “win” are numbers. It’s harder to comprehend the numbers for me; maybe because I was a kindergarten teacher for so long I got used to the patterns. I do like that some tournaments are winnable now. Some of the dice people tournaments are a little ridiculous; too much going on sometimes. Coming back after a few weeks of playing... I HATE THE WAY YOU GET NEW DICE!!! Totally not fair that you can “win” the same dice more than once. ✓ Dice With DisappointmentsI’ve been playing this for at least 8 years, and have previously given it a 5 star review. Sadly though, the past few years have introduced many changes, rarely for the better. Bells and whistles don’t mean more enjoyment. Change a tournament first prize from 64 rolls to 20 won’t encourage more players. Introducing a “time bomb” and making it extremely difficult to win Dice World makes it tedious if anything. Ads are a necessary evil in a free app, but gaining a bonus roll for each ad was fair, I thought. Now the “reward” rolls are being doled out as if they were diamonds. As they don’t cost you anything, this is obviously a ploy to get frustrated players to give up and pay for bonus rolls. Through all of these “improvements” I’ve persisted - but now you’ve reintroduced a “survey” ad, which not only doesn’t pay a reward roll but is impossible to nix away. I have to reboot my device to continue with the game..?! I could go on (and on...) but the gist is that I’ve stuck with this game throughout the years of bugs and crashing, made friends through it and defended it. ✓ No idea why this is rated so highI used to play this game on its older app. The app progressively got worse and I stoped playing for awhile. Tried the old app again and it made me download this one. It’s gotten significantly worse. I literally wanted to just start one game with my mom and it made me go though 10 minutes of unstoppable tours of its “features” all of witch hinge on micro transactions. By the time I finally was able to start a match that I wanted to do I was forced into two games and several side games. The animations lag and are buggy. The app always bounces me around to different corners of the app every time I open it. The notifications are awful. I probably get upwards to 10 a day about things in the app I don’t care about. Only had the app for a week before I had enough. Hopefully there’s a better Yahtzee clone out there that doesn’t over complicate rolling dice..Version: 8.16.2

The new app will make it more difficult to win prizes to accomplish achievements, the dice claw is too hard to win tokens for new dice, when you do you receive duplicate dice, will crash a lot and duplicate prizes among many other flaws. ✓ Getting worse by the dayThis used to be a really fun game when you could choose your dice but ever since they implemented that dice claw I’ve got nothing but duplicate dice and it’s so frustrating because it’s so hard to accumulate the tokens to get the dice and then when you get the same 17 times that’s a little bit much and I know they’re working to fix that now it just can’t come soon enough. Also I have suggested that we should be able to do something but I left over adventure coins which I usually have anywhere from 15 to 50,000 extra coins it would be nice to buy some older frames are older guys that aren’t available anymore with those tokens also I want to be able to pick my own die so I don’t want to have a dice club pick the dice for me because a lot of the dice are childish and I’m a grown adult!!! And the graphics act up all the time now I get a really odd board half the time that I can’t even see the other persons score. ✓ Painful Waste of a LifeI can’t decide which is worse, the CONSTANT “we’re experiencing delays” messages leaving you hanging forever, or the fact you’ll be forced to watch 3x more ads than you’ll get play time. Either way it’s hard to tell if the game is any fun. You never actually get to play it. Too bad the game isn’t to memorize the same stupid 5 mindless ads you’ll see over and over. Note to advertisers. I make it my rule that any company that places these irritating mind bendingly horrid ads on these games are companies I commit to never doing business with. So congrats on losing sales. Pathetic. And love all the fake rave reviews too. Nice try. In an update this joke has gone into the ranks of utterly unplayable. ✓ Going wrong since updatesThis, and its twin Yahtzee With Buddies, was working fine. Then the previous update came along and it was constant freezing, crashing and messages saying I needed an active internet connection when I was connected. Now the latest update hasn’t corrected the internet message and it’s too soon to see about the other errors. But now the tournaments section doesn’t automatically take you to the live tournament or show you exactly where you finished in the previous ladder. ✓ Was good but not now!I have been playing this game with friends as it was intended for some years now. However, in recent months the developers have lost the plot and added features that have nothing to do with playing dice. It takes unnecessary time loading ‘treasures’ that I won’t use. Also, one way to earn extra dice was to play the Daily Gift Grab, but more often than not, the game does not start with a first throw of the dice. Two, three or four dice have already been thrown and when I do throw, I ALWAYS hit a cross. Not a good game anymore!.Version: 8.4.0
✓ My reviewWhile I love Dice with Buddies there are some things that need to change or do away with. The Price Climb and the Adventure to earn coins to get those squares serves absolutely no purpose and needs to go. While every once in awhile you get a prize when buying one of those 6 sided marks there is absolutely no other benefit to them. If you are able to get all marks for a character, there is no reward or benefit so why even collect them at all. It's just another way to burn more bonus rolls and make the app richer. On the Family Feast, it is just absurd to wait 12 hours for next free play when no other game requires more than 3. Again just another way to blow through more bonus rolls so a person has to buy more and make the app creator more money. The last thing is the Harvest Game. Either make the bonus price 1 extra roll or just do away with the game completely. To put the price at 2 or 3 is nothing but greedy on your part. It costs a person 10+ bonus rolls just to play the bonus on each turn. You want to make this app and game better than start listening to the players..Version: 6.11.1

✓ Annoying adsI have been using DWB for several years and it's really fun. However, recently ads (which I get are necessary) have gotten "stuck" and I have to close out the app completely. Ads also now have several pages you have to get through, and the "x" to close Is often so small that it takes several tries to get out of them. If anyone thinks this is going to make me purchase their app they're mistaken- I would literally NEVER buy something with such annoying and ridiculous tactics. Stickers are also incredibly annoying in that whenever you "win" a pack (and who cares, really), you have to wait while it automatically opens, THEN click buttons twice to get out of something that's pretty dumb and useless anyway. ✓ GlitchI love this game, it’s my absolute favorite. But I have to give it 4 stars right now because there’s some kind of glitch that makes it flash off every 2-3 minutes and there’s waaay too many advertisements. When I try to play a turn it either flashes off and I have to reload the game or an advertisement comes on, plays out, and then it will glitch and flash off. It’s very frustrating! 😡 I can only play 2, sometimes 3 rolls and it flashes off or an advertisement takes over, then it glitches and goes off. 😡 I’ve had this app for several years and it’s always done this, but it’s gotten so bad lately that it’s almost useless for me to open up the app and TRY to play!! ✓ Getting very irritatedI have played this game for several years. I am almost to the point of quitting. I just scratched over 70 scratchers and received six bonus rolls. In all my years of playing 97% of the “winners “were for one bonus role, 2.99% were for two or three bonus rolls. .1% I received a whopping 10 bonus rolls. I have never seen 20, 50, 100, 200. If you’re not going to award those amounts you need to take them off the scratchers. Also if I’m going to have to spend 15 or 20 minutes scratching off a pile of scratchers, essentially for nothing, I’d appreciate a shortcut button that you can press to “scratch all scratchers quote. And they used to let you earn custom dice with around 12,000 points a week. Now they raised it to almost 25,000 points, making it just about impossible. Never playing other opponents do I have to put a zero anywhere on the single number rolls. I just don’t do it. With the computer my average score is about 75 points less than other players. I have to put 2 or 3 zeros in the top section, which never happens playing live players. Last 4 games I have lost to the computer is cause whatever is open on the board, will not come. I needed a 5 for a large straight, small straight, and 5s, chance, and 1. Out of 75 dice, I got one 5 and had to put zeros in the rest except for chance. ✓ Too many feature issuesI just received an update that they hope to fix this issue with the next update and all the can offer is one free tournament entry. This is such horrible customer service, as I’ve lost over 100 free rolls. I would rate this a 0 if it were an option. They have created so many features, so you have to refresh the app after each game. The new stickers are silly, not sure of the point in collecting and you can guarantee you’re not going to get to 100% without spending money and the reward does not exceed the cost. Recently they made an update where you can play tournaments for up to 5X the points. In the last month there is a new issue that is not including your first round of play in your total and I’m losing approx 6 free dice per round that I use to get a higher score. They issued an alert that it was fixed, but it’s not and I’ve set numerous emails and screenshots when it occurs with no contact, for a month! ✓ Fun but many annoyancesI like the recent updates (2019) which introduced me to more games and more options but I have run into several issues that are annoying: 1. After I play, it immediately grays out the screen so I can’t see what else needs to be done for me or my opponent - it forces me to study my opponent prior to a roll; which I rarely do. 2. If my opponent is the last roll for a game, I have no idea which game ended because there is no way to see what they rolled and why I won or lost. 3. I play on a phone so frequently I can’t see my 6’s because the large “35” is covering it up. Why would they need to show the +35 twice - show it only once and it won’t cover my 6’s. I hate having to guess whether I’ve played on my 6’s yet. 4. Animation - it’s great to celebrate but I play with a lot of buddies and the time it takes between rolls and games is awful because it animates, moves to another screen to duplicate the animation and many times to 2-3 more screens with more animation. It’s a total waste of time. Celebrate once while showing my rewards then move on. There are other annoyances but those are the biggest hinderances to the game. ✓ Not random…If you believe that the dice rolls are random then I have some Arizona oceanfront property to sell you. It doesn’t take long playing this game for the first time to realize that something is not right, that the dice rolls do not seem natural. Most obvious and flagrant is on the third and final dice roll, when you are going for a small straight, that nine times out of ten it will not give you the small straight, and you wind up getting a cr@p roll. Mind you, on an open-ended roll for a small straight the odds are good that you will roll either the low die or high die, but in this game it is programmed to get neither, and it is not a natural occurrence of rolls. This is ridiculous, as it defies the laws of nature, that the algorithms are coded to deny you the small straight. Another obvious scam is also when you need just one certain die and after three rolls you do not get just the ONE die, again, defying the laws of nature. ✓ Too many bugsThe game is good, but Scopely has put so many games into dice with buddies that they can’t keep up with software bugs, which are almost constant. The customer support is extremely slow, often unhelpful bots that don’t understand the issue and they don’t compensate you properly most of the time. If it weren’t for one or two games and the family mode they would lose many customers. I’ve had a bug for over 6 months that goes away, then they put a new version out and it reappears. This bug costs me time and money because I’m a subscriber and I purchase dice. They act as if the game is free and not having access doesn’t cost anything, but that is absolutely wrong. If you’re trying to hit your goals and you can’t access a game, you are being denied access to prizes and could cost you tournament promotions, free play, etc. They need to hire more backend engineers and support and stop the addition of cool new graphics until those graphics can be supported by enough customer support people and not have bugs throughout..Version: 8.18.1
✓ RipoffI have been playing this app now for over 4 years and at first I loved it but recently they upgraded this and it’s terrible. The tournaments are a ripoff. For example, I take a 0 for Yahtzee and my next set of rolls I get a Yahtzee which of course I can’t use. It happens quite often. The bots all have the same stats. Huge number of games played and high rollers games but all are zero on showdowns. Because there’s no point in getting bots to play showdowns. If I want to play a computer generated opponent I play a showdown. When I play a game I WANT to play an actual person. ✓ DO NOT BOTHER PLAYING.This game is not free. Recently, scopely has been randomly banning players under the guise of cheating. When a player questions the ban, they get a generic response that “…there were irregularities in their account” yet scopely refuses to explain what irregularities have been detected. Then they give you a copy of their “Terms of Agreement.” This version has only been recently drafted after many players have been playing for 5-10 years and players have not been grandfathered. Now they also say you can’t use an iPad at home if you already have the app on your phone. What kind of Big Brother nonsense is this? Numerous players have “ put in tickets” about the same game glitches FOR YEARS but nothing is ever fixed. Scopely’s solution? Ban players. Also, another interesting fact… if you put in a ticket to support inquiring about your ban, they ask your gamename, game level and proof of any purchases you made lately. ✓ Don’t Upgrade! Painfully slowThis new version is a total revamp and is terribly slow because of all the new animations. The interface is terrible too compared with the easy reading of the old game. The app is also MASSIVE in size at 400mb including being a resources hog. I used to be able to play a turn within a few seconds allowing me to take turns with the various players I play with. Now it take 3-4 times longer for a turn, and an eternity with four different animations and screen tapping for a game to end and re-challenge. And don’t get me started on all the ancillary games, dice, jewels and god knows what that is continually be imposed whenever you use the app. And I have a paid version. ✓ RiggedThis game is so rigged now it’s barely playable, ‘Survivor’ being the worst of all followed closely by ‘Dice World Race’. However, to succeed you really need to use bonus rolls and, at one time, if you played a decent number of games you could accumulate a healthy reserve of them. Since then Scopely's greed has taken over. Now bonus rolls are almost impossible to earn in anything like decent numbers through gameplay alone, leaving buying them as the only realistic option. However, the cost of doing so is extortionate. There is a daily game you can play to try to earn more dice but you have to gamble your own dice to keep playing it and, as well as it’s outcome being heavily weighted against you, the cost to keep “gambling” that you will win is an ever-increasing number of dice to truly punitive levels. Scratch offs for extra rolls are a joke; cards may show 50, 100, even 200 free rolls to win, but after years of playing this game I’ve determined that those are a joke. The dice and board choices are also a joke (i.e. they are ugly). I have little desire to keep playing in order to win ugly dice. There also seems to be no rhyme or reason for when or how often new games pop up, like “Survivor” (better have plenty of extra dice rolls for that one, kids, because your chances of making it through more than five rounds is almost zilch). This game feels like they have ten year olds coding and they’re marketing to ten year olds. ✓ Messed upSince I had to reinstall the game due to major pixilated screen issues with game it’s been nothing but a problem. My competitors pictures don’t match with the games. It’ll say “Waiting” on the game but it’s actually my turn. Many of the recurring games have issues. The new Treasure Hunt look is horrible. I’ve tried contacting Customer Support for help numerous times but no one helps since they got the “bot” to help. Tried contacting through game and through Facebook. ✓ Even when you win, you loseThe game is fun but the reason for the low score is the glitches and bad customer service that leave the player out of pocket. If you play this game 100% free then it is enjoyable but you can’t progress anywhere. You may win one or two dice masters but you need to pay to complete. Paying wouldn’t be an issue except you will lose this money on absolutely nothing. For example, you will play a high roller game and win but not be credited with the winnings, you will fight to beat dice masters only to not be given then prize, you will battle to win a tournament only to not be given your prizes. If you are happy to play this game for fun from time to time then this is the game for you. ✓ Unstable game platform within the gameRepeated and ongoing issues with the Survivor game within this game. For months now this game has been unstable at best with connectivity issues,freezing,complete booting out, game starting without letting you play, timer running out on your turn without letting you play and so so many more issues. No real compensation ever offered. Staff are polite enough but never offer any real resolution. The game needs to be fixed or removed. It’s that simple. ✓ Was great now a jokeYou all banned the leader of my family who plays legitimately and fairly. While tons of other families are double and triple submitting there turns in family games and feast. This is an absolute joke. She is a good leader that plays fairly and has tried to get her account back but you all won’t give her any explanation. Probably because you know it was bogus. She doesn’t pay for prize pass or buy any of the stuff you offer. Yet another member had her account suspended and it was back in 24 hours. She pays for prize pass. That’s just a joke. Come out and say it’s for money rather than hiding from it. I’ve been on this game since all you could do was play players one versus one. I’ve tied with players in survivor 4 times of late and sent tickets and got nothing. While others are getting half of the jackpot. I got at least 15 friends and family members to play this game. ✓ DisappointingI have been playing this dices for 6 years and I am still playing. I have to rated this bad! This year it is awful. Adding stickers are the most fake winning ever. How impossible to get 100 percent for more than 30 days and now it is 3 days, it is 90 percents, I am not buying stickers. I miss weekly games and many prizes are gone. Disappointing. Stickers are not helpful, force me to pay and pay. Nah. I am not very pleased how developers changing this. Do not follow others apps like stickers.
