✓ Duplicate of the Acoustic appPaid for exactly the same app a year ago called Acoustic. £5 for the same app under another name is somewhat of a cheat. Check you don't have the same manufacturers app called Acoustic. It is indeed exactly the same thing. ✓ Awful awful awful!Wish I didn’t have to give 1 star. 5 tracks that are so basic, that there’s no dynamics or feel to the rhythm switches. Almost as if you weren’t paying attention, you wouldn’t know what part the rhythm was on. It’s really just bad. No tweeting or anything. Just choose from the 5 lame tracks, then choose a key. That’s it. Sad I paid $5 for this. Wouldn’t download it if it was free. The backing tracks in my head are much better. This is a cash grab. The description is VERY misleading. ✓ MisleadingI wish I had my 5 bucks back after a minute of using this. If you don’t really know what your doing (like me) then you’ll be lost. There’s no training!! It’s just a few backing tracks It has scales, which you can get online, and cords. The cords aren’t even shown (tablature). If I keep learning to play maybe this will come in handy in a year. ✓ Kills batteryApp seems good for rock and blues practice. After I launched the app once I noticed my batter died very fast. I went to the batter settings, and discovered that after a single use, and one day in the background, Jam Tracks represented 46% of total battery usage for the last 7 days. No idea what the app is doing, but I hope it is a serious bug rather than nefarious background snooping..Version: 3.5
✓ Seriously limitedEffectively only 5 different rhythms, and no way to adjust tempo. Yes, it’s nice to be able to set the key, and switch between major and minor, if you don’t already know your pentatonic and/or major/minor scales but for a paid app, this is seriously limited. ✓ EATS your batteryI actually quite like this app - it’s limited and quite simplistic, sure, but for what it does, it does well enough. However it has a really problematic issue - if you don’t close the app completely after using it, it will *destroy* your battery. For example, I used it yesterday on my iPhone 7, I always charge my phone fully overnight. 24 hours later, my battery is nearly dead and Jam Tracks is responsible for 47% of battery usage in the past 24 hours. This is despite background refresh for the app being disabled. Really, really poor..Version: 3.5

✓ Too expensive in the long runI am a full time music teacher and was looking for an easy and affordable app for my guitar students to jam along with. For the $4.99 asking price you get pentatonic and blues scales only. Very few styles or backgrounds (blues, jazz ,country) come with the app. All other scales and styles must be purchased. And you cannot control the tempo. Save your money and get iRealB instead. It comes with many styles. You can control the tempo and loop sections as well. On the web forum there are thousands of FREE songs to play along to or you can actually input your own songs/chord changes. It’s cost is much more up front but the content and flexibility are well worth it..Version: 3.5
✓ So much less than it should beUpdate: I found the app this should be and it's iReal Pro. It has the features I wanted. A little clunky and more expensive but not the disappointment this was. I got this app hoping it would help me practice improvising over jazz chord progressions. I found it to be of little value because: * For jazz, there is only one jam track (yes the description says this, but it's still not enough) * When the track plays, it doesn't show you where you what chord is currently being played * The scale presented for jazz is the pentatonic scale, which is a simple scale for the blues, not a common jazz scale to my mind * There are no additional jazz tracks available for add-on purchase * The scale modulations provided include only A-B-D-D-E-F-G. What about B flat, which with its two flats is more common than B with its five sharps? E flat? Etc. * When I talked with Ninebuzz about the limitations, they expressed the opinion that my expectations are not appropriate given how the application is described. They have no plans to improve the application that were related to me. With some simple changes like the inclusion of just a few more tracks, more representative scales, and a highlight of the current chord during playback, this would be a valuable app. Currently, I find it not to be worth having and it seems Ninebuzz is unlikely to improve it..Version: 3.5
