✓ Too expensiveI used to love Fit Radio and used it to workout at the gym all the time. This is back when it was free. When they started charging for it I stopped using it. I tried again about a year ago. I had signed up for a promo and when I looked at my account 3 months later they charged me almost triple the amount they were supposed to charge. I tried getting a hold of customer service to fix the problem which is almost impossible. I must’ve emailed a dozen times before getting a reply. When I finally got a reply I was told the promo only applied for a computer site or something g which I didn’t understand. They said it didn’t apply to mobile phone users. They fixed the issue anyways but it still made no sense. The overall app is great but the subscription prices are totally unreasonable. With the price you pay you might as well get a subscription to XM radio which is cheaper.Version: 2022.07.18

✓ I LOVE the idea behind this app.TLDR: Pros: -great for keeping the same energy throughout a workout. -the option to set intervals and choose playlist specific for the activity/intensity you are working with Cons: -too expensive -too many glitches/have to restart phone before each use Overall I think the idea behind this app is amazing. It’s great being able to pick mixes based on music I like. Being able to set the beat to my desired heart rate and workout pace is a great feature. The coaching and interval settings are great options too. If I were a personal trainer or a strength/conditioning coach, I would definitely KEEP this app! However, just for my own personal workouts, it’s too expensive to feel worth it. Also, the user interface has some bugs that need fixing. There’s one issue in particular where there’s something wrong with the iTunes Store and the app and my phone all syncing together; so every time I want to use the app and sometimes when I just want to switch stations I have to restart my phone and sometimes uninstall/reinstall the app. This alone was a deciding factor in getting rid of the app..Version: 2019.01.18

This occurs when I have full 3G reception! The last thing I want on a training run is to have to keep on stopping to sort out the music. This was purchased through fit radio website and it does not say anything about an auto renewing subscription. Company lies and steals, just check the BBB ratings and other negative reviews. I also, don't like the glitches of the "explicit" setting... I have had to contact the support staff twice to change it. ✓ Doesn’t work well with Apple WatchJust bought the Apple Watch Ultra 2 and hoped to use fit radio on my runs. The interface is so clunky. You either have to sync playlists before your run over WiFi or you have to pre pick playlists and favorite them to your Apple Watch. The biggest and most mind boggling bug in this PAID product is you can’t use any type of workout function on your watch or the music stops playing. That’s right, want to see what your pace is on that run? Tough cookies because your watch has to be on the fit radio screen or your music won’t play..Version: 2023.09.06
✓ Wish listI use this app for teaching barre, hot Pilates, and boot camp classes. I wish you could rewind to the beginning of the mix easily, as well as skip forward and back just using the time slider. The ability to put mixes into different custom folders would be amazing; also the ability to see more description in list view of different mixes, specifically genre and length of mix, would be really helpful to view from the list rather than clicking to load each mix to figure it out. Also, clearly labeling which mixes have explicit lyrics would be really helpful..Version: 2018.06.18
✓ Always hard to find the right mix :(I teach classes and often need the right tempo for class. The “tempo run” feature would be AWESOME.... if the tempo ever actually matched what it says it is. Unfortunately unless it explicitly says “130 bpm” or “32 count” ON THE MIX, it often sounds like a completely different (usually much slower) tempo .. I struggle to find what downbeat they are going off of. I love the concept and it has been useful.... when I’m not spending ALL my extra time searching each and every mix. The fact that each mix is set in stone also makes it hard on instructors because if, in the middle of class, a song comes up that that REALLY doesn’t fit or ends up sounding way too slow, there isn’t anything I can do about it and it kills the vibe of the class. ✓ Most bugs of any appI love the fit radio app when it works, it’s designed so great and the music and workouts are awesome. But literally never experienced more bugs and for that two stars. Someone calls during a workout? App will shut off and you can’t pick up where you left off. Hoping your interval timer in strength workouts lasts the whole time? It very well may not! Bother you when apps randomly close and stop during your workout? Happens all the time! Can’t get the screen to move during an outdoor run so you can check your time? ✓ Beware - Rip people off with renewing subscriptionsShady app. Shady customer service. Beware when you sign up for their subscription. It will be directly through the app so there’s no way of tracking your subscription or the app on your phone until you get a surprise charge & they will refuse to refund you because of their “terms & agreement”. The app will not show up under your list of Apple ID subscriptions or apps that use your Apple ID even if you link your login with your Apple ID. Which is super shady to me. I don’t know how they get away with that. Just remember that even if you end up not using this app for months & it auto offloads on your phone, make sure you remember that once you paid for it you’re going to get charged again without a renewal notification through Apple ID. & Good luck trying to get your $50 back..Version: 2023.03.21

✓ Ripped off by Fit Radio and Apple!Fit Radio have removed the ability to purchase this app in the United Kingdom because of some music licensing issue. However it also means that current United Kingdom subscribers to Fit Radio whilst they can still use the app it will no longer receive updates to the app as Fit Radio release them, the app has already started to fall apart with the filter function no longer working and it will get worse. Fit Radio advised me to request a refund via the App Store as they cannot issue a refund as it has to go through Apple, the App Store says I am not entitled to a refund (the subscription was renewed for a year 8th September), so I have lost the money I paid and the app will just stop working now, tomorrow, 3 months who knows.... Fit Radio have offered me a full year free when they are back available to the UK but that could be next week, next year, never who knows..Version: 2019.05.31
✓ It USED to be greatI used to tell everyone I knew about this app. It mixed things up, allowed you to search for songs within mixes to find ones that you’d be drawn to etc. I’ve been frustrated the last few months and when I asked about the missing search feature, they replied that their music license would no longer allow the search feature. However other mix apps will. 🤔 I also noticed that the MAJORITY of the 4 and 5 star reviews are from a year ago. Since the updated format and price increase I’m sad to say I won’t be renewing. ✓ Great playlistsFITRADIO has improved their quality and variety of music through the years. I listen to it often, as it has different genres and is easy to sort and find the right mix. HOWEVER, with the new mixes I am unable to skip songs. I am updated to the most recent version iOS on iPhone and FITRADIO's most recent version and still won't skip. ✓ HorribleSome, I repeat, SOME of the mixes are good but you really have to weed through all of the garbage to find them, I swear they let any amateur DJ upload mixes here, some are complete train wrecks, idk who has time for that but I certainly don’t. Half the time my recently played isn’t up to date, not to mention its limited on how many it stores, but it also kicks you out and back to the home page if you pause for more than 5 minutes, and my favourites are nowhere to be found. The contact page for support is blank and emails go to cyberspace. I definitely don’t think it’s worth the price tag and such a shame that Steady Mixes partnered with them, what a disappointment. I’ll stick with Apple and Spotify until they get their app sorted out. Second time over the years I’ve tried them and cancelled. ✓ Apple Watch is a years-long battleI’ve been a FITRADIO subscriber for 5+ years. It’s inexcusable that every time I try to load a playlist on the Apple Watch, it doesn’t work properly. Or if I happen to be lucky and get it to work once, it errors out next time I try to run outside with the playlist. I rarely even use the service now as I’m more regularly using Peloton at home and don’t run outside as much. But I keep subscribing because I enjoy the mixes on the occasions that I run outside. But I’m always disappointed that the Apple Watch compatibility basically never works. We’re talking random sampling of trying to use it over years, and it has never been easy and extremely rarely functional. I’m on the latest iOS, Apple Watch, and FITRADIO software today. ✓ Not accessible to the blindThis used to be one of my favorite apps until the last few updates and after I started paying more for the app. When I was only paying $3.17 a month for the app it was very accessible and easy to use but now that they have raise the cost to $7.99 they change the interface and now it is not very user-friendly and certainly not accessible for the blind and visually impaired. ✓ Harassing me for paymentIf I could give them a negative star review, I most certainly would. I tried out the service for 6 months and decided it wasn’t for me so, I canceled it in Nov of 2017. This week, I get an email asking for my payment. Told them I canceled it Nov 8,2017 (I looked it up) and that I owed them no payment. Received email back that I would have to reach out to Apple and get them the cancelation from last year. Let them know that they didn’t receive payment cause it was canceled and I had no intention of running around to get them the cancellation they received last year. That was between them & Apple. Being harassed for a week for a payment they didn’t receive cause I canceled the service a year ago is beyond irritating and horribly unprofessional.
