✓ This works greatI find this app after I had already been using the Arccos caddie system and I do prefer this app. The arccos wouldn’t read all my chips or putts and, and sometimes would miss iron shots. Going back after the round and having to fix the mistakes and it remember what club I hit became annoying and defeated the entire reason I bought the arccos system. Although I do physically have to scan each club with this app, at least I know it scanned and logged my shot with the audio and vibration confirmation. I don’t have to go back and fix anything with this app. I have always played with my phone in my pocket because always used Golflogix app for distance and green slopes, no I use golf pad for distances and club tracking and I keep Golflogix running as well on my phone to read green slopes. ✓ GPS differ between iPhone and watchI recently purchased the premier version so that I could use my watch without having to take my iPhone out of my pocket. Today I compared the distances shown on both my phone and watch while holding them 4 inches apart and there was constantly a difference of between 4 yards and 10 yards between the 2. ✓ I LOVE my Golf Pad!!This easy to use app helps me learn my numbers (how far I’m hitting the ball (when I connect properly!) ) It also tells me the distance to the front, center and back of greens. I’m finding it to be quite accurate when I compare what distance GP indicates vs what my friend’s very pricey GPS shows..... it’s always within a couple of yards, and with my game that’s all I need. And the price is definitely great considering that it’s free. I’ve turned several of my friends onto this amazing golf app!! I also love the fact that I can switch over to the Map View to see how far it is over water, to waters edge or sand traps. I really can’t say enough about how great this gadget is!!!.Version: 13.6

✓ Love itI’ve had GP for 2 years. I love the map function and also the interface with my phone and watch. Being able to see the fairway and obstruction distance has allowed me layup shot knowledge that has helped my scoring go down. I had questions regarding functionality and customer service was on it and helped me within a reasonable time via email. They are very knowledgeable and good to work with. IMO don’t waste your time with any other app. Go for GolfPad first, you won’t be disappointed. PS: learning the intricacies of the app functions is not very difficult. ✓ The Best Golf Tournament Management SolutionI’m evaluating TM solutions for my 100 person men’s golf club. I’ve looked at around 10 different products and Golf Pad Events is by far the best solution I’ve seen. The depth and breadth of features/ functionality is second to none. When you try it you realize professional programmers are working on the product. Some of the other offerings look like they were developed 20 years ago. ✓ Version 14.0 broke iWatch etc.Writing this here because the latest update broke the contact support link in the app. Additionally this update reintroduced the issue where Golfpad stays active on iWatch even after rebooting my iWatch 7 and iPhone 13 pro multiple times. Pretty frustrating until I found that if I went into the IWatch app settings on my phone and toggled the “show on watch” option to off that it finally quit. I them flipped it back on and it has not come back yet. I will be using the app again today so I’ll see if the behavior returns. At least I know how fix it relatively quickly now. Golfpad development team please fix this as soon as you can and please shore up your testing procedures. When this app works correctly it’s right up there with the best that support Apple’s iWatch. About a year ago I upgraded to be able to use all the functions and see my statistics. Recently I bought the tags to track my shot distances. There was one course we play frequently that was not available on the app. Last night I decided to see what I had to do to get it added. Turns out it was really simple. They have a tool where you can map the course on google maps and submit it. Took maybe 15 minutes to do. When I got up today I had an email reply that the course was added. I do think the Apple Watch compatibility is good. The two things they need to work on is track shot and have the fringe as an option and also when you edit the yardage on a certain tee it changes the yardage for all the tees. This app takes the guesswork of that out and leaves you just selecting the right club for that distance. Plus keeping track of scores is nice because if you’re new like me, those scores are high. ✓ Hole ratingsThe golf pad is a great app that offers so many features it’s also, easy to use the one thing I love about it is that it doesn’t freeze up. How ever the one thing it doesn’t have is an indication of the hole rating so, If your playing stableford or par you have no knowledge of the hole rating this is, frustrating. Hopefully they are working on this issue and will come up with the goods very soon by the way, you can, swipe left and there you will see the hole rating. Overall, I highly recommended . The yardages are always spot on, club recommendations are seriously perfect, and the Apple Watch companion is great. I decided to purchase the golf tags, and yes they are nice, but they aren't as advanced as something like Arccos tags which is a little disappointing. They work great but with the iPhone, it’s pretty finicky. Another thing is the UI feels old and not modern in the slightest. I used Arccos for a little while and I much prefer the look of that and all the club stats are much easier and eye pleasing than GolfPads. Easy to use, has the needed distances and great Apple Watch app. The game statistics are extremely helpful. I also use with the golf tags, which are hit and miss quite honest, but do enjoy when they work. My biggest complaint, and the reason for the 1 star deduction, is no integration with Apple Health. I track all my workouts and steps in Apple Health. It would be really nice to also include my golf rounds. Battery drain is minimal and the information provided on the watch and ability to update scoring allows me to rely mostly on the watch app and barely ever have to take my phone out! ✓ Good app, creator uses itWas randomly paired with a guy named Konstantin for a recent round at Chamber Bay. He was tapping end of his club to his pocket during round. Intrigued, my son and I asked what he was doing. Turns out he created the GolfPad app and was using it. He gave us comp codes for a free year. Took about two rounds to become a seamless experience (like I’m gonna read directions lol). Works great with the Apple Watch—between shots I get distance for previous shot and distance to front, middle and back. It’ll recommend “soft 8i” for next shot based on distance to green and how far I hit my clubs (based on real data). After the round, I get google maps overview of the hole with my shot paths shown (with distances and club selection) plus tons of stats. It makes me want to play more rounds to build up the averages. ✓ Truly the best Golf GPS tracking app out thereI've been using this up for a few years now. In the meantime I've tried every app out there. I'm the kind of guy that is always looking to what is you and exciting. I tried a couple rounds with each new app and I have to say this is the best one. When it comes to app layout I'd say it's similar to others but it's the smaller things that set this apart from the others. Something as simple as going back and changing an old shot. It's location, club, conditions etc. Its so easy and it's just all right there. The only set back I have is that I'd like to see some new additions to the app. The app it's self isn't flashy. It could use some interface updates just to modernize it a little bit. It hasn't changed in a long time, but by no means is this a knock on the app. One thing I like that this doesn't have is an achievement page where you get little tokens for different achievements. Eagle, ace, 50% GIR, etc.some other apps give tickets for longest drive so far or four pars or birdie in a row, GIR or putts under a certain number, etc. It is something that golfers like to see. We like to see our progress throughout the years and it adds a new element of fun. Honestly I'd love to speak to the company to tell them what they need because they are right there from truly setting themselves apart from the other apps and just need a few tweaks to be far and above the others. As I said before this is the best app I've tried and I would recommend this to everyone. I feel like some interface updates are down the road. Even if not, the price and features can't be beat. The course I regularly play on has had a lot of work done and 1 or 2 of the holes have changed. How do I get these changes into the app? After my latest round I went back to see club stats and all the shots that I tracked from my watch didn’t have a club assigned. This is frustrating given that I am using the app to learn/improve my game, and the watch to keep from handling my phone on every shot which slows down my pace of play. I also didn’t have a recommended club showing on my watch every time. I’m using an iPhone 7+ and series 3 GPS watch. All system updates are current. The app performs many many functions but, at this point, I only want to know how far I am from the green. The app handles this preference admirably. ✓ Only one complaintI use the app a ton. It’s the best App for the Apple Watch. It does take a few seconds to lock in distance and sometimes I have to check twice because it will change after I look at it the first time. Not a big deal. My only true complaint is that the app isn’t set up to utilize the cell signal on the Series 3. One of the main reasons I got the Series 3 was because my Series 2 would disconnect from the phone if I walked to far from the phone and this is fairly common when I go to putt or if my partner takes the cart with my phone in it. So I have to keep my phone in my pocket. Three times now it has fallen out of my pocket while driving and I didn’t realize til I got to my next shot or hole. I would have to go back and search the fairway. The app doesn’t connect to the cell on the Series 3 so it can still happen..Version: 11.12
