FINAL FANTASY TACTICS :WotL for Positive User Reviews

All time classicOne of the greatest games ever made, pushed the limits of storytelling, turn based combat mechanics, and the ability to 100% customize your entire team from monsters to unique character classes. I’ve put nearly 3000hrs into this game and I still find myself re-playing it every year. Worth every penny..Version: 2.2.0

Amazing gameI've always been a fan of final fantasy and I love the battle style of this game. Very long play time, lots of content and just very enjoyable overall. I have noticed one small glitch where the menus change colour and become impossible to read, although ive found loading the last save fixes it..Version: 1.1.2

Love this GameI played this game when I was 15. And even now it is still awesome game to play. There are improved graphics, job classes, stories and system and I can play it anywhere. I really hope Square Enix really considers to put in game enhancement such as max JobPoints, max gold, characters level enhancement like the other Final Fantasy sequels in AppStore. To make it easier to beat the game and focus on the story and let the others who like to play the game regularly can play regularly. Actually I really want to purchase this game years ago, but I know if I want to wait Square Enix to add in game enhancement it’ll take my lifetime🙏.Version: 2.3.0

Great Game!!One of the best FF titles hands down. My only complaint is the controls can get a bit tricky and it would be great to have controller support available..Version: 2.2.0

Plans for Mfi support ?I love this game and I know a few of the other iOS ports have mfi support does this one ?.Version: 1.2.0

GoodGood game, just like the previous. Only downer is that the game can sometimes run slowly. Otherwise, a good game.Version: 1.0.0

Solid remakeSolid remake of a classic. Sometimes the selection of spots your character goes to or attacks is a bit clunky but generally very solid remake for iPhone.Version: 2.2.0

Awesome appLove this game, Been waiting for a decent app to actually pay for and here it I'd. The touch screen goes well with the game. Thanks..Version: 1.0.0

Great updateHats off to square for continuing to invest time and effort in this port. The latest update makes this the best version since the ps1 original. Easily one of the best games on the app store. Performance has been greatly improved on my iPhone 4, txt is easy to read and controls are excellent. If I have one minor gripe there is still slowdown when using items and spells which wasn't present in the original ps1 game. It's nowhere near as bad as the psp version but it's still annoying. Looking forward to the planned updates.Version: 1.1.0

Its AlriteNever really played it much. Bought it and not what I thought it wud be. Game works fine it's just a little boring that's all. The storyline seems ok but it's a little dated squeenix make better turned based games..Version: 1.1.1

Gameplay mechanics good on iPhone 4There are already a couple of bad reviews coming up saying the game is slow and "unplayable", but that depends what device they are using. I've got an iPhone 4 and although there is the occasional slow down during battle, the gameplay is absolutely fine. Because it's a port the graphics are occasionally slightly fuzzy, but you'd expect that. The controls get around being precise with fat fingers by allowing a scrolling motion on the screen to move around menus, which works really well. If you've been waiting for this game and have the iPhone 4, get it, there are no serious problems so far (I can't vouch for other devices).Version: 1.0.0

Good gameThis is a good game but I would love to replay tactics advance and tactics A2 with online compatibility to battle others!.Version: 2.2.0

One of my favorites! So glad to see one of the best ports of the psp now one the iPhone will better controls and finally better load time..Version: 1.0.0

Amazing GameSimply fantastic, one of the best games available. Occasional slowdown and targeting issues, but mostly forgivable. You're missing out if you don't buy this!.Version: 1.0.0

Still amazing after 21 yearsI have played this game many time over and always enjoyed each playthrough. I am hoping if they are gonna further update this game is to put the Rendevouz mission. I know it was multiplayer co-op but it would be nice to have this option as side-mission to do for funs and maybe challenging post-endgame content..Version: 2.0.0

Thank you!Thank you for updating one of my favourite games! Looks great on my iPhone X’s Max. Please update the other FF & DQ games to X support!.Version: 2.1.0

Time to eat my words! Om nom nom!Nice effort at a port now. Looks like my nasty old review is in for an update! This patch did well at removing the crash issues that plagued the 4S. Also added nifty edge controls to the combat screen for pitch and rotation. Animation and AI speed is improved, and removed lag from spell animations. As with my previous review, excellent work with the translation, cutscenes, and class additions. I didn't address the excellent touchscreen support in my previous one (it got lost in all the negative, sorry!) but I believe that it does deserve a mention. Looking forward to future updates!.Version: 1.0.1

Definitive versionEverything about this port is just superb. Obviously ported from the PSP version, this iOS version adds the reverb sound to the music tracks which restore its original PS1 sound. The high resolution aliasing really polishes the graphics especially for higher pixel densities. Touch panel control works great, but can be really tight for smaller iPhones. Hands down, the most definitive version to date. (Now if only Square would port Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together.. 🤔).Version: 2.1.0

(UPDATED) SQUARE, UPDATE(D) PRONTOI’m updating my review back to 5 stars. I’m very happy Square released an update day 1 with the iOS 11 launch. To help preserve this all-time classic on mobile for a new generation. This game is a treasure, and I’m truly happy to have it remain on my iPhone and iPad for the foreseeable future. If you buy this game, just be warned that in its current state, it will cease to run on the next release of iOS, iOS 11 due roughly in September 2017. So that only gives this amazing classic 3 months of life left. Given the prices Square charges for their games on iOS, I thought this was a fair warning to give to users. This is also a call for Square to get their act together and show these amazing games some love. Apples tools makes it pretty darn simple to modernize a game to run 64-bit, and Square frankly has no excuse to not update games they charge $20 or more for. At least in my view as an outside observer. I really hate to lose access to this amazing game on my iPhone, but this change has been a long time coming and warranted. If a developer cannot make a simple compatibility update in over 3 years, then what business do they have accepting money from customers anymore?.Version: 2.0.0

Its here...butA little dissapointing! After all those delays it appears as a poor port. Im happy to play it on iphone but after the amazing port of FF3 i was hoping for better. Yep, it may be too much development to redraw the sprites in HD for the cost but the tacked on text bars are low resolution on IP4 the 'facing' cursors being the worst. Also slows when issuing an attacking command. It still has its charm but square-enix could and should have done much better..:(.Version: 1.0.0

Controller support pleaseNeeds controller support.Version: 2.2.0

Good bit fix lag!Great game and well ported, but it's just chugging at many times on the 3GS. Also, AUtOSAVe please!!! The current one is not auto save, it saves just before I die and then if I forget to saw in the menu, I have to go back. Come on :P.Version: 1.0.0

Excellent port of a true classicThe latest update makes FFT a joy to play even on the iPad. Actually, it's especially good on the iPad, where the touch interface becomes easier to use. It's still all about menus, in the end, and on the iPad FFT finds its best dimension. War of the Lions is an outstanding modern update of a true classic, from a time when Square was at its peak. Highly recommended for any iPad gamer!.Version: 1.1.0

Wonderful gameThis is a wonderful game;not so great port it crashes alot even on 5th gen devices. Speaking of that brings me to one of my only other gripes with the game that its not optimized for 5th gen devices if they fixed those two things along with bringing back online/Rendezvous mode this would be a perfect 5 stars app/port ITS UP TO U square enix.Version: 2.0.0

Finally!I have been waiting for this game for ages and it is finally out! It is everything we hoped. Buy now and enjoy!.Version: 1.0.0

Amazing game, love it so much and well worth the moneyHaving so much fun playing this game again after completing the original ps1 version. The new illustrations for some of the story scenes are great too and offer a new perspective. The game sometimes crashes but with a new auto save feature during battles, it doesn't really bother me. Amazing!.Version: 1.1.2

Yah it fixedI couldn’t resize the game on my iPad reinstalled and can play it again. No idea difference between the two versions of the game I’m on iPad and can play it fine.Version: 2.1.0

NiceAwesome game from my childhood, works really well and is very touch compatible, its a shame sound isn't featured, the original music tracks would be amazing, overall sick game :).Version: 1.2.0

Sublime tactical RPG, and a perfect fit for iOSFinal Fantasy Tactics turned 20 in the summer of 2017, but age has not dimmed its splendour. It helps that this is a port of the PSP update, complete with new hidden characters, new job classes and some nifty animated cut scenes. These are all welcome but are really just icing on the cake. The basic game is as compelling today as it ever was, with its labyrinthine job system and abilities continually opening up new layers like an onion (knight) as you navigate a surprisingly complex (and melodramatic) tale of Machiavellian politics between church, army and state. It's rather po-faced, but certainly far above average for the genre. For the uninitiated, you control a hero, Ramza, and a party of others in a series of tactical, turn-based battles. You have melee attacks, magic, healing and various special abilities that are unlocked within each job class. As you progress, you gain points to spend on more abilities and you can switch between jobs after every battle to go learn completely different skills. It's one of the best implementations of a job system and skill tree in the genre, and can become a real rabbit hole for obsessives. For novices, I can only emphasise that it's worth the effort to understand what's going on - and you'll soon found out why as the difficulty spikes quite early on. There's no shame in consulting a guide or two! Finally, this game has masses of reviews, but many of them date from when the game released on iOS - a buggier time with older, slower phones (we're practically talking the iPhone 4 here). Today, it's a flawless port, with very well translated touch controls. You might need to rotate and move the map a bit to select the right square occasionally, but the menus are easily navigable by rolling your finger up and down and tapping the screen to select. It runs brilliantly on my ageing iPhone 6, doesn't eat the battery, and hasn't crashed in about 40hrs of play. Also, while the story scenes can run on a bit, battles themselves are fairly snappy affairs and ideal for both quick bursts or long, long sessions. As an added point, the music is up with Square Enix's best and the graphics are, at least, charmingly late Nineties! Seriously, I think this is one of the best games on the App Store..Version: 2.0.0

Why!I just read this game along with crystal defenders will not work eventually as square enix has stopped supporting it for ios. This is disappointing as I bought it to play at a later date when I finished other games and now I may never get to play it on ios 😞 please s/e keep updating your games so we didn't waste our money. I'm sure there are still people that want to play this on their phones like me 🙏🏾😱.Version: 1.2.0

ClassicNo file sharing , no cloud support Bug I have ; I’m in main menu and options button goes too a black screen . Everything else works though . Save often ..Version: 2.2.0

WohooI'm happy this has come to the iOS devices I'd like to see more FF tactics games come along too :).Version: 1.0.0

Please add controller supportNeed controller support please.Version: 2.2.0

BrokenI have an iPhone 8 Plus. Had this app for 48 hours. I’ve tried it 10 times now and it freezes or crashes every time. I have yet to get past the initial cut scene. I was excited to try this and have a great rpg on my phone to replay. But unfortunately it’s unplayable and broken. I’m pretty upset I wasted my money on this. I loved this game as a kid and would love it. Update: this game runs great now. The update fixed all the issues. It’s a great game and works well on iOS..Version: 2.1.0

Still love it all these yearsMust have completed this game about 4 times on the original psx and yet I still enjoy playing it again a decade later on my phone. Really decent port..Version: 2.1.0

Great gameStill laggy during spells. Other then that, a terrific game.Version: 1.1.0

Speed ControlI have always loved this game from the original PS. I like that I can take it with me to play on my phone but the speed of the actions takes away from the quality. It seems like you sped up every action throughout the game. There’s no time to enjoy a summoning or the blaze from a magic spell. I’ve played FFT through at least 8 times on the PS1 and I always enjoyed the programming of the actions. Can I get an option to slow it down?.Version: 2.1.0

Amazing GameFirst time playing FF Tactics. I tried this a few years ago briefly on my iPhone but the screen was too small and I couldn’t see what was going on. Now playing on an iPad Pro and loving it. I beat Vagrant Story and Final Fantasy XII previously and am a big fan of Ivalice. This one is already becoming one of my favorites. Highly recommend this game, but you should definitely play it on an iPad, not iPhone..Version: 2.2.0

Great gameReally a wonderful game. In terms of content it's one of the classics in the Final Fantasy series yet often overlooked, it's much more strategic compared to the main series, but lacks none of the RPG elements. In terms of port, it's done pretty well, and it makes great use of the auto save feature as you will see.Version: 1.2.0

Update ideaThe cutscenes looks blurry on the iPhone XR - I’m sure they’re also blurry on newer models as well. If a dev took the original PSP copy of the cutscenes and were to edit them, one by one for each screen size for every iPhone/iPad size (tedious work, but here me out) you could add a slight 0.9% blur with photoshop, then add, maybe 2-10% noise - the videos would turn out nice and really freshen things up. Then remove all cutscenes from the original download, and have all versions of the new cutscenes in the cloud - when, let’s say, an iPhone 12 user downloads the game, they get an in game download for the iPhone 12 version of the cutscenes. Just an idea. 🤍.Version: 2.2.0

GreatI completed this on the PSP and it took 80 hours and was truly special - so far this version seems to do a good job. The controls seem to work well but may take a few hours until you start speeding up when it comes to general navigation - but this is only because of the depth this game offers. There is so much info to absorb that I would advice taking your time with it. This is a intelligent long term strategy game - a cross between chess and typical RPG battles, it has a decent medieval/fantasy story and is well worth the price. &It also has a great autosave feature.Version: 1.0.0

You get what you pay forBrilliant story, solid gameplay and a lot of depth in combat. Can be a tad difficult but overall worth what you pay for.Version: 1.0.0

Epic ScalePeople complain about the graphics and the slow down, but I don't think they understand the full scope of the game. FFT:WotL is a MASTERPIECE. It is such an epic, amazing, timeless game that for it to come out on iOS is a miracle. 5 stars for sure. Gameplay is flawless, the job system is deep, and the story is one of the most captivating, even for games these days. This game is a must buy..Version: 1.0.0

Great!!! Best strategy time in all time :)In depth story line, class and battle system..Version: 1.0.0

11.0.1 Seems to have broken something.I really love the game overall, and I think Square Enix did a great job of porting this title over from other platforms. That being said, there seem to be some compatibility issues between the latest version of the app and the new update to iOS 11.0.1. It worked fine yesterday on iOS 11.0, but now I’m pretty bummed out that I can no longer play the game on my brand new device. Hoping for an update soon to resolve the issue. :(.Version: 2.0.0

Age limitThere should really be an age limit on writing a review. Also an IQ test. It seems to me that if the application doesn’t go perfect the first time, and mostly due to user error, the rating is slumped down rather rapidly. This game here is a timeless classic and to bring it to be where ever is just simply amazing. Great job on the port. Much appreciation in your direction..Version: 2.0.0

Great port!Superb story and gameplay that will keep you playing for tens of hours! Each battle can take a fair bit of time to finish, mind you, but fairly non-repetitive. Well worth the £5 I got it for (discount). The game is faster and sharper than the PS1 version I have on my PS3. The controls are fairly easy, just a bit too small buttons. I still find the full price of SE games to be too high. £5 should be the limit!.Version: 1.2.0

One of the greatsPlayed this to death as a kid, play it to death now. Story is good, gameplay still as sharp as it was, huge customisation. However when you get 'God' you break the game still haha. Personally I loved this then, and love it even more now I am old enough to understand what I'm doing :P.Version: 1.1.2

Controller supportPlease please please add controller support.Version: 2.2.0

Epic gameThis is one of the greatest games on itunes i've all ways been a fan of final fantasys since a young age i've all ways ways loved the battle system but tactics is even better a must buy hope to see all the final fantasys thanks square enix.Version: 1.1.0

Update is perfectThis update has fixed all problems with the tiny graphics and crashing. It is now totally worth £11. A fantastic game with great gameplay and story elements. I have already sunk 20 hours into it and most of these 69p games you play for an hour and forget. If anyone from the development team is reading this: I cannot wait for future updates. Please keep them coming!.Version: 1.1.0

Not optimised for IPhone 6S maybe Plus tooHello Devs wondering if u can Fix a IPhone 6S screen too plus the sound is working but fix it for 6S or 6S Plus whoever has a width screen size problem:).Version: 1.2.0

Make it available for iOS 3.If I have just paid £10 for an app I cannot use, which is quite upsetting. It was very unexpected as the first three final fantasy games which I also bought work fine on my 1rst generation iPod touch, so I just assumed that there would be no problems with the working of this one either. So would Square Enix be able to make it playable on iOS 3 in their, for all 1rst generation users sake who can't receive the iOS 4 update..Version: 1.1.0

Just get arithmeticianYou cannot lose.Version: 2.1.0

Amazing gameI don't usually write reviews, however this I felt a must review. For me, this is the first game that has made me take the iPhone seriously as a game device. The iPhone is perfect platform for this and the game itself is amazing. The level if strategic depth here I could write about for pages. The story, cut scenes and music are all brilliant. The graphics look nice especially spells etc. this is not a pick up and play game, battles can take well over an hour. Best £8 I have ever spent on a game.......puts most £40 games to shame. Well over 100 hours gameplay here..Version: 1.1.0

Improved iOS version of an amazing gameThe game is now stable since the december update! And nice to see the crispier retina support, we can see those old skool pixels clearly now ;-) Controls are ok, but a bit fiddly, but fortunately it's been designed that you don't have to actually touch many of the menu items (just scrolling anywhere with your fingers works for navigation). The game itself is fantastic, not the easiest of RPG's to get into if you're new to the genre, but if you're looking for a RPG with real substance look no further..Version: 1.1.0

Truly one amazing gameHats off to you square, the update has made this game one of the best on the app store by far. There may still be some minor bugs but it is still worth every penny, offering countless hours of gameplay. A must buy for any FF fan. Im hoping next to be released is FF7!.Version: 1.1.0

For the true fan! This is honestly the best game and app I have brought for my iPhone. Though I think you'll need to have an appreciation for final fantasy or turn based games to truly enjoy it. Great port of the original game, new touch screen play renews the fun. Price is a little high, but worth it I personally think. I recommend to you die hard ff fans..Version: 1.1.2

IPhone you big bI wrote a 200 word long review : nickname taken, all deleted. I'll make it short then. This game, that I finished on all platform ps1 psp and iPhone is the t rpg of all time and in the top 3 best ff of all time ! Hard though so kids and scaredy cat, don't go there! Cheers.Version: 1.2.0

Good game! The game is very fantastic!Hopefully more and more people can know about this game! The story is very good..Version: 2.1.0

Fantastic Port!Hands down, one of my favorite FF games and it still holds up. Touch screen control very good, although I’ll grant that sometimes it’s not perfectly precise but I don’t think that’s to do with the game but more the nature of touchscreen control in general. I would definitely advise anyone with thick fingers to use a stylus. The only thing that keeps me from giving this a five star review is a glitch with the Belias Tor map. Every now and again, you’ll be faced with fighting a large pack of chocobos and without fail the instant I input an action after moving a unit, the game crashes. Also the auto save system is a little weird. It’s been a saving grace when a fight goes pear shaped but I’m not a fan of being given the option to start a paused game when returning to a saved game because the paused game is always in a state before the hard save and that’s messed me up a few times before I understood what was up..Version: 2.2.0

Tactics Ogre!!Bought this to scratch my SRPG itch. Much better than the PsP remake version but still nothing compared to Tactics Ogre... Please Square, port PsP Tactics Ogre: Let us cling together on mobile!! Let us enjoy the classic once again.Version: 2.1.0

Great game, why no multiplayer? The port is great, touch controls take some getting used to, I love that the actions have been sped up so that tailwind and steel don’t take forever. Makes no sense why we don’t have Rendezvous or Melee. The software and scenarios are already there, I don’t get why they wouldn’t be added, it’s such a wasted opportunity..Version: 2.2.0

Controller Support?I genuinely enjoyed the game and the updates so far, but for some strange reason after all this time there is still no MFI controller support. The only thing holding this game back is that update..Version: 2.2.0

Sets the Bar for Tactical gamesI loved this for the PS1 and the remake was amazing but one thing that is lacking is the support for online playability like the remake had. Also idk what your online team has in the works but the same way that you have weekly updates and new adventures in WOTV FFBE maybe add that to FFT WOTL. I know I can’t be the only one who wants more Ramza and adventures in Ivalice. I mean I best Vagrant Story twice and FF12 three times. Along with the GBA games too. I’d love to see Ivalice expanded upon and maybe even the 50 year War in the WOTL universe. Or the fall from the golden age to FFT all the way to Vagrant Story. I know that’s a lot to ask but this would be amazing. I’ll even help write it lol!.Version: 2.2.0

Awesomenesss!!!!!One of the greatest games ever made, great port. Square should make a tactics two and continue the storyline. FFT is the original Game of Thrones there’s such a complex web of scheming and betrayals but Noble Ramza never strays from his path. Functionality 10/10 never crashes on iPhone XS Max. Gameplay 9/10 other than a few subtle changes that only hardcore players would have a issue with for example no Genji Gear, it’s amazing. Best 20$ I’ve ever spent.Version: 2.1.0

TacticaliciousOnce you get over the steep learning curve, getting the hang of the controls, learning not to trust auto save and navigating the often confusing Ok / Cancel options, you'll find a fantastically detailed and deep tactics RPG. I paid sale price but even at full price it's a bargain..Version: 1.2.0

Thanks for delivering, SquareI bought this when it came out, and kind of lost interest mainly due to the sluggish performance. This update has made a big difference though. The game engine now runs smoothly and zips along quicker than before - it really does run beautifully on the 4S. The text and stats are now actually readable due to the HD update. This really is a classic game, and only now can I recommend picking it up..Version: 1.1.0

Amazing on iPhone 10Downloaded this game to play during downtime on a road trip. People said online it could be hard to click around the screen but my iPhone 10XR screen was wide enough I had no problems clicking anything. Everything else is just as I remembered it from playing this masterpiece as a kid. I’m almost through chapter 1 and only had the game 3 days. Very happy with my purchase.Version: 2.2.0

Great Storyline, addicting & challengingI rarely write reviews. I chose to write one about this game because it’s a classic I played back in the day and I wanted to see how the translation to an app turned out. It exceeded my expectations. The game is no doubt amazing and the translation to the app was seamless. Great job all the way around. If you want to dive into a rich storyline with amazing characters and fights, this game will keep you busy for a long time..Version: 2.1.0

Great addition with some flawsOverall a really great adaption of the PSP game, touch screen controls are great, and gameplay is a blast. Just needs to be optimized a bit better, as it chugs along when spells are cast and other effects are on screen, and does not play as smoothly as it should. If you're a fan, snatch it up. If you're still on the fence about it, wait until it has a few updates under it belt to optimise it better..Version: 1.0.0

A must have for any FF fanThe quality of the story, the simplicity of touch screen controls and classic final fantasy back to its raw brilliance, be warned it is addictive, hard (so train) and there are lots of extras if you can be bothered to look, I would say to enjoy it you could easily spend 30hours and not find it repetitive. FMVs excellent too, as to be expected of a final fantasy! More please square!.Version: 1.1.0

Tips for Ch3One of my all-time favorites. Extremely deep gameplay if you can be bothered to put in the time. Controls work surprisingly well - crashes occasionally, but autosaves after every turn so not an issue. TIP: there is a very tough fight at the end of Ch3 which could make you give up on the game if you don't know how to complete. 1-on-1 with Wiegraf. You need to teach Ramza auto-potion as a counter move (Chemist job set) and sell all potions apart form X-potions. When the battle starts, use 'cheer' to increase bravery, hence increasing counter % to 100%. After that it should be a walk in the park. (otherwise it's nearly impossible!).Version: 1.1.2

A true classicI mustve played this game in all it's versions and ports and now it's come to the iPhone. I really don't mind the controls, gotta get used to it, but I wouldn't mind graphics update if they can. Otherwise really glad this came to the iOS.Version: 1.0.0

Controller support for backboneReally need controller support.Version: 2.2.0

Great remakeA great remake of the original PSX game. However, a selection of minor quibles, makes me think that a newcomer to the series should wait for an update..Version: 1.0.0

One of the BEST games I’ve ever played!Thank you so much Square Enix, this was my favorite game on the PSP a very long time ago and I must say, of all my purchases on iPhone this game is by far my most favorite purchase of all. And the fact that you have kept this game up to date with the latest new iPhones and 64-bit, etc. shows just how committed you are to your fan base. My real hope is that a new Final Fantasy Tactics game like this will be released for the Nintendo Switch, that would be my dream come true. In any case, I love you all and thank you!.Version: 2.2.0

Its back now bring me Xcom!I read the reviews and while I don't like to slate other people (ok maybe a bit) but this game is really good and when I say really good I mean totally friggin awsome!!! If you don't like ridiculous depth, spending hours thinking up strategys and how to develop the vast array of charachters - don't buy it! Buy some crappy tower defense game in which you can bore yourself to death with getting to level gazzillion. If you like well made games with plenty of depth and prefer games which stimulate you slightly more than a twig and three rocks then this is a good purchase - though an expensive one. Easily the best squad based tactical rpg on the i-phone. Though personally the final fantasy crap usually puts me off but this is waaaayyyy different. Nice one Square - Now somebody bring back Xcom, are Micropose still around? I'm glad I bought it though I have stopped txtin my bird and now shes well peeved!.Version: 1.0.0

Love ItThis is like chess mixed with D&D. Forever classic. I don’t understand why more people keep giving bad & Luke warm reviews. It’s worth buying here at the App Store, otherwise buy yourself a PS1 & try to find a decent disc for over 50$. I was about to do this but luckily I checked the App Store. I couldn’t be happier. The graphics and sound are first class on my 2020 IPad..Version: 2.2.0

Epic game!!My second favourite SRPG (after Disgaea) already, and I'm only about halfway through the game.Version: 1.0.0

Best game everI had this game on the original playstation and its still just as fun this day..Version: 1.2.0

1 of the best game on iOSHighly recommended. Definitely 1 of the best game on iPhone/iPod Touch..Version: 1.0.0

FavoriteBest game ever made. I wish they would make another one. But not with lame characters like they did in tactics 2. Stick with the medieval fantasy visage. The story is amazing. It’s basically a satire calling out the Catholic Church for the evil organization that it is. I’ve played this game countless times and am about to start a new campaign with my daughter. This is a true gem. A diamond in the rough. Wish I could give it ten stars..Version: 2.0.0

No retina display still??While this is an excellent game to begin with, I'm rather disappointed that Square Enix didn't remake it with HD graphics. Everything looks fuzzy on the iPhone 4. Hopefully a future update will address this. Otherwise, a perfect game!.Version: 1.0.0

Great gamePurchased this about a year ago and beat the main story, maxed out a couple characters. Downloaded it again in hope to play my iCloud saved file but was unable to and don’t wanna start a new game again. 5/5 game just would like the iCloud function to properly work.Version: 2.1.0

I dont understand...Why so many people are knocking this game! I'm running the game on my iPhone 3GS 16gb on iOS 4.3.5 and I'm having no slowdown or any other issues people are mentioning! Infact I would say the game runs really smooth and looks really nice! I completed this game a few times back in the day and I'm loving the game again! If your a fan of final fantasy but never got to play this first time round I'd recommend you add it to your collection  massive thumbs up from me! Classic.Version: 1.0.0

One of the best FF games for mobileAmazing game that every FF or RPG fan should play. But this port is sadly incompatible with newer versions of iOS. Noticed after updating to iOS 16, that opening the game has become insanely slow, and you cannot access the settings menu (black screen). Not getting to the settings takes away from accessing the iCloud save setting, which stops me from playing on both iPhone and iPad. Great game that needs some loving but sadly the last update was 2 years ago, highly unlikely another update is coming..Version: 2.2.0

IPhone 6 plus update plsFantastic game! Please update so it will fully utilise the iPhone 6 plus' 5.5 inch screen. At the moment it only occupies 4". Thanks for the port.Version: 1.2.0

Great game but..The transfer to iOS was well done for the most part. However I would like to request a way to turn off the games music. I fall asleep playing the game at night, and if I have the games volume turned off, it also prevents my alarm clock on the phone from going off. Please please please add the feature. It’s made me late to work twice 😖.Version: 2.1.0

This is what phone gaming should be!!!!Game like this are why i live square and keep buying there titles. A true classic which is a good today as the day i first played it several years ago. I only wish there was more!!.Version: 1.0.0

Love final fantasyI gave five cuz I’ve played on PlayStation. enough said lol great work amazed y’all got on board with emulators/ roms. Note this was one of the hardest to find final fantasy games I paid nearly 70$ from game stop for it well worth it, loved it. Any chance getting another one like this I loved this just like 1-6 so what about graphics it’s story that captivated me along with 7 and 8. I love job classes in them, btw like advent y’all should make movie out of 8. I’d pay to see it!.Version: 2.2.0

Solid port of an awesome gamePlaying on iPhone 4, and I haven't had any of the problems that I've heard of, just been enjoying a game that I've played on 3 consoles.Version: 1.1.2

Great FeelingFelt great beating this game after so many years. I wish more of my old childhood favourites would be downloadable on a mobile device. Also I saw one negative about not being able to transfer saves and that’s just not true, on iPhone you just save it in the cloud, allowing you to play on any device, and if you’re still having trouble I’m sure it’s something a quick google search can help you with..Version: 2.1.0

Change the preview screenshot! Spoiler alert!!You put one of the biggest spoilers in the preview shot. Put a screenshot from earlier in the game or at least not one that reveals the secret insidious nature of an ostensibly innocuous and very significant entity. I’m writing a review of this excellent game solely to say that. So change the screenshot already! It’s my number one game of all time, though, btw..Version: 2.0.0

:DDDDSuuuuper good, all that i expected. The touch controls are perfect for the game. Its just sweet. :).Version: 1.0.0

One of my favourite games of all time!Plays really well on iPhone, and the loading times speed the gameplay up a hell of a lot! It's awesome! I've been waiting for ages for this to come out, and although it's expensive for an iPhone game, it really is worth it as this is such an amazing game with so much to do. This is the 3rd copy of this game I own, everyone should own at least one, and what better way to play than on your phone! To the guy with lag, I have zero, this version plays faster than any other. And to the guy who is wondering why you cant pick the order to move your units........ Characters move according to how fast they are. A high level ninja will obviously be much faster than a low level knight. It's an old game, it's still amazing, and to be honest it's a luxury to be able to get this game on your phone!.Version: 1.0.0

PLZ GIVE CONTROLLER SUPPORT!!!!I know you can give us controller support! PLZ!!!!.Version: 2.2.0

Would like M1 Mac version!I’ve loved this game since the original PlayStation days! Please make this version work for the M1 Macs!.Version: 2.2.0

Best tactics everI had this title first for my PSP, and I dont doubt to buy again for my phone, If you like tactic game and FF this is the perfect game!.Version: 2.1.0

NEEDS A UPDATE!!!! Still worth 5 starsI have the iPhone 6S and it's not working quite the same way it should be...the screen doesn’t fit my phone! Please fix this as I did pay for this app and I'm also a huge fan of Final fantasy....Version: 2.0.0

Great but I found a bad bug and an annoying mechanicThe game crashes when I am playing in Finnath Creek. I can’t get past it because the crash occurs when a chocobo attacks or I land a killing blow on one. It is also very annoying that the enemies always grow to match or surpass your level. You can never work hard to surpass them because they always end up at your level or higher. This makes simple encounters I should be able to overcome terribly challenging. Even at level 80, they still match me..Version: 2.0.0

One of the best games ever madeOne of the best games ever made, id say in the top 100 at least. And this is a fully functional port. Best game on the app store HANDS DOWN..Version: 2.1.0

Legit. If you liked this game back in the day, do yourself a favor and get it on your phone! The menus can take a little getting used to on a touch screen, but the developers did a great job porting this absolute classic to mobile. Two big thumbs up from an old fan of this gem!.Version: 2.2.0

Worth every dollar!Only the best final fantasy ever released! Love it! No problems at all. Game plays perfectly!.Version: 1.0.0

No cheap tricksThis is the proper version of FF Tactics with no weird extra flashy Japanese animations or pay to play nonsense. It’s the closest to original. This is the one you want. The storyline is the best out of FF and the battle system is legendary. The dialogue was re written was not a welcome change as it seems too flowery or forced in some instances.. (like kids trying to write something in Shakespeare style) however it hasn’t changed enough for me to rate it lower than 5 stars..Version: 2.3.0

GreatestSo much great memories of this game but it's kinda too pricey but WORTH it if u like turn based tactic game.Version: 1.1.1

FantasticI never understood how to play this game previously, due to the tutorial being tedious and downright boring, but I got Tactics A2 and now after replaying this game, it is my favorite IOS game. Thanks for the update SE!.Version: 1.1.1

Update great! But....Playing this game with new textures and normal frame rates is great when you're use to the slow lag of the original. However, it's so fast now you can barely see what the enemy is doing. Which makes it hard to act accordingly :( Too bad there's no battle speed option. Really takes away from everything when you can't enjoy spell/summon animations because you blinked. Also, update 2.0.0? Does it just remove that update message? That's all?!?.Version: 2.0.0

Controller supportHi great game would love controller support.Version: 2.2.0

AmazingFlawless conversion that works great with the touch controls. I haven't played it since the original on PS1 so the updated cut scenes and animations are very welcome. To the guy who says it's laggy what iPhone are you playing on? For the iPhone 4 there is zero lag. This game has a staggering amount of depth and is pure quality and if you want one of the best SRPG's ever made in your pocket it's well worth the money..Version: 1.0.0

AmazingOne of my favorite ffs on ps1 and the iPhone version is just as amazing! Controls may take a bit of getting used to, and it's a bit fiddly as the screen is so small but once you get the hang of it it's a breeze. Love the story, graphics and strategic gameplay with enormous replay value. Will be playing this game for a long time to come!.Version: 1.1.2

One of the best stories of any FF game. This is one of the best Final Fantasy games ever made hands down, and is one of the finest turn based strategy RPGs you can get on IOS. Absolutely worth the price. Ps: it’s a crime this never had any multiplayer feature. I’m not even a multiplayer guy, but I imagine a lot could be done with this game as far as online components..Version: 2.2.0

Overall great game, ok portThe game is great, story and gameplay is fantastic. Slow down on 3GS is much like the psp, touch controls aren't that precise at times when trying to hit an empty square near a unit most often you will select the unit. Still worth the money, probably could do with being cheaper to lure less hardcore fans in. Certainly not 5 stars due to the porting issues..Version: 1.0.0
