Djay - DJ App & AI Mixer for Positive User Reviews

Neural Mix Pro is a game changer. Would still prefer an outright option to purchase howeverLet me start by saying that djay is a fantastic app. I’ve used it since 2013, back on my iPhone 4S. It’s great. For me, the app bumbled along for a few years, but this was fine because it was the gold standard; it did what it set out to do, and it did it well. Now make no mistake; djay Pro AI *IS* a BIG release; the Neural Mix Pro technology is nothing short of astounding. It works incredibly well when you realise just what dark magic it’s pulling off; even when the result isn’t exactly stellar, you can’t help but be impressed by just how good a job it does, and how clever the tech is. djay remains the gold standard, and rightly so. However... I’m still not a fan of Software-as-a-service (SaaS). I understand that yes, it offers software to users at a lower price, and yes, it’s beneficial for developers... and yes, it is sadly becoming the norm now. Subscription everything. But I wish you’d just offer a one off payment to use the app with all of its features. Then I’d know it’s mine, and that you couldn’t revise features or eventually take it away from me. That’s my biggest gripe with SaaS; hell, older versions of djay are no longer available, and I’ve had to resort to downloading them from my purchase history - how long until these disappear too?.Version: 3.6

Won’t renewWas great until I cancelled the subscription for a while but now it won’t allow me to renew so I guess I’ll just go to another app.Version: 4.1.6

Brilliant but buy.I love your app and although i’m not a DJ i enjoy just messing around with the mixer . I’d willingly pay a reasonable price to use it, as i have many others apps i enjoy using and wish to support, but i make a point of never subcribing to apps. Could you work out a slightly restricted version available at a fixed purchase?.Version: 3.6.7

Fun, easy tool to remake music (Worth the price)When I got this app I introduced to a verity of tools that allow me to take music and turn it into something new and creative. I can save my favorite creations and listen to them or even change them whenever I please. The one thing I don’t like is that you have subscribe to Djay Pro to get the full assortment of tools, but if you just like to mess with music the non-pro version is just as good. This app can be used by anyone, no experience required. I truly find fun and creativity in this app..Version: 3.6.3

TitleIt’s good but minus one point because you dont have Spotify for songs.Version: 4.0.12

Not for meI subscribed for the free week and cancelled after 20 mins- I couldn’t use the songs I wanted to use to mash up, so this was of no use to me- even though you say you can use soundcloud, it had to be soundcloud + so that becomes a cost.... no thanks, not for an amateur that only wants to play with 2 songs- I want to give one star and couldnt.... hhmmmm.Version: 3.8.5

Spotify?A great app. But, I logged into my Spotify account that does not have Spotify premium and now I cannot get out of it..Version: 3.2.6

Great music mix appI’ve been using this app since it first became available. Over the versions it has just got better and better. If you have a gig coming up or just want continuous music with no breaks this app is for you!.Version: 3.3.2

ExcellentJ’aime beaucoup..Version: 4.0.13

Polished DJ app and leading innovationsBeen using this app since v1 on the iphone. Now have it on iPad for primary gigs and macbook for home (don’t want to lose a $4k+ macbook pro to drunk spillage). Works awesome with both my Mixon 4 and Mixtour controllers. No complaints whatsoever. Yes susbsription isn’t a great concept for users, but it’s a small price to pay yearly for a great portable solution..Version: 4.0.11

Amazing app for the DDJ200Been using this app for almost a year and wouldn’t use anything else. Works great with DDJ200 and would highly recommend this app for beginners to intermediate because of its easy to use features, range of FX, reliable connectivity and more..Version: 3.6

Better than the subscription priceI’ve been a Djay user since I got a 10.5 iPad Pro back in 2018. I even paid for djay pro and bought all the effects. This new version, Djay Pro AI is a giant leap forward and within an hour of playing the new version on an iPad mini 5 with the A12 chip, I knew I’d be keeping the subscription and was well impressed with the new technology. I was an all vinyl club DJ back in the 90’s, this new AI app quite literally has addressed a mile long wish list I had 25 years ago. The HD video available on Tidal is another level added to all the super dope features..Version: 3.6.3

OutstandingUpdate: This has been the best DJ app during my quarantine times, solo dance parties and online live mixing, new features are amazing as always. _______________________________________________ Been a loyal dJay2 user then upgraded to this version. Initially wasn’t too crazy with new pay system as I already bought the full version of dJay2, but quickly changed my mind after trying it out for a little while. This app is amazing, incredible capabilities and hours upon hours of exploring, experimentations and fun..Version: 3.5.2

DJ old SokolSo lucky that after decades on decades since I DJ’d in the 80’s that now we can get consoles digital and not needing to set up again in my 50’s. Loving my downtime getting into my mixes and now, with greater capability. Have to say after doing my homework and testing, Virtual DJ is a cut above, at very least you won’t go wrong so you ain’t taking a risk. Enjoy the creativity, in meantime I’ll go back annoy the fam as now, there is now a DJ inda house!! (Ok in the study room).Version: 4.1.4

Middle of the road. Not that impressed as it’s a bit too glitchy, god forbid using it live as it has crashed three times in the video section of the app on my iPad, if it will do that while playing tracks live it would be so embarrassing, anger would not be the word for it. The sound effects FX function has no volume slider that I can find, the volume is too loud over the track that’s playing when FX is activated, too much going on at once in general. For reliability and ease of use I will stick with DJ Pro when playing live this New Year’s Eve with the existing FX inbuilt. I like your ideas and concepts and the existing DJ Pro cuts the mustard, but the upgrade doesn’t. It’s a waste of my hard earned money,I will not subscribe in Dec 2019 as I am not happy, a refund would be thoughtful..Version: 3.0.1

Hands down the best DJ app aroundWhat isn’t there to like about this app? They’ve clearly taken feedback from users into consideration to craft a near-flawless, highly intuitive program that appeals to casual, novice and professional consumers without over complicating things. The one thing that I wish they’d fix is the loop feature. There needs to be a manual selection for splices that fall outside of the 1,2,4,8, and 16-beat selections. That’s been my longtime need with this app. Other than that, it’s almost perfect. Oh yeah - one more thing. The subscription has to go away. Let me buy it outright and go on with my day..Version: 3.5.1

Great AppAbsolutely awesome app, everything runs smoothly, layout is intuitive and easy to use. Running with Spotify makes this a 10/10 functional app. Would highly recommend..Version: 3.0.7

Needed to get used to…The app is very good, but i would constantly have to get used to how to create new playlists and it would be nice if there was a tutorial to how to do that.. and other stuff.Version: 4.1.7

Great!I Used/tried many platforms, they all do what’s supposed to be done-but at the end of the day you use what’s most comfortable for you. I prefer this one above all…….Version: 4.1.7

App crash after loading on protected deskPlease update ASAP THE APP CRASH WHEN LOADING A SONG TO A PROTECTED DESK It crash right after clinking yes.. PLEASE FIX IT ASAP.Version: 4.1.1

Great but…..I really like the way I can have this app across devices. It’s really responsive across Mac and iOS. Seems to have most the features I want and I’ve been doing for 20 plus years, including in a professional capacity. One thing I expected was to be able to make playlists on my phone and port them directly to my Mac. Either this isn’t possible, or it’s hidden deep in the settings, or I’m daft. I’d like to know which cos it’s frustrating as hell. If we can’t do this, why? For me it’s kinda the whole point that we can make playlists on the go without getting all our kit out, then plug in our laptop and mixer do a quick sync and then your away. But if that’s not the reason, it’s just a 3 in 1 subscription to 3 different apps with some very limited data porting of cue point data. If I’m wrong and you have a specific tutorial for this problem please link me to the video. My subscription is coming up soon. I love the phone app and want to expand to using it for real gigs if possible. If this problem can be solved it’s kinda a no brainier..Version: 4.1.8

Highly recommendedBest app for DJ mix even you don't need wifi when used all your download music into your mix so highly recommended ✌️🙏🎶🎧.Version: 3.7.4

Blows My Mind Coming From Traktor on MacMy setup is very atypical - I have four separate MIDI devices, which send their input to Traktor Pro 2, and receive output from Ableton Live. The two softwares are kept in sync via Ableton Link so that I could run lightshows on a Launchpad, Launchkey, and MIDI Fighter 3D. Color me surprised when I find that I can replicate the exact same setup between NanoStudio 2 and Djay - but not only that, Djay genuinely surpasses Traktor in every possible way. Usability, stability, featureset, it’s all absolutely excellent - even to the point of supporting basically any kind of input or output, audio and midi, and even smart keyboard shortcuts. This software goes above and beyond to provide a serious contender in professional DJ software. Absolutely do recommend..Version: 3.5.9

Love it besides the no CUEThis app is amazing besides there’s no CUE button, one of the main parts of mixing.. beside that, amazing UI.Version: 3.0.2

Love latest updateAnd a way to save music (Older songs in particular) that need re beat gridding for perfect BPM (similar to MIK MashUp) but able to batch process (selected songs) saved to new grid..Version: 4.0.13

AI djproAwsome software has everything and more using it is so easy being using djpro application since it came out and that has allways been my go to dj software AI has so much more been able to have accapellas and kills on all levels at the touch of a button is next level!!!!!!!! GAME CHANGER EVERYONE!!! thanks algoriddim.Version: 3.0.4

Story of Nick in DJAYHi I’m nick I really enjoy djay Please make more i’m 10 and I hope that you actually like make DJ Set ups.Version: 4.0.12

Awesome software for beginners, enthusiasts or professionals alikeBeen using Djay for around a week now after getting an interest in DJing. I have found the lessons very helpful and the features within the app seem very good. I have found Djay to be exceptional when changing the speed and/or key without affecting the other to be really good in terms of producing little artefacts which is usually the case when time-stretching or pitch-scaling audio. Being a beginner, I’m enjoying experimenting with mixes and playing around with the effects. I can seem to be able to do a lot without using a dedicated DJ controller (which I am looking at purchasing down the track). The app is very easy to use and as a beginner DJ, I’m learning a lot quickly. I also enjoy the feature of being able to isolate vocals, beats or melodies on the fly - further enhancing the quality of what a beginner DJ like myself is able to pull off. My only gripe with the app is not being able to record my mixes and mashups but I understand it’s a legal/copyright issue and not an issue with the app itself..Version: 4.1.3

BlaiseOne thing you could add is a control that allows you to hear one deck with headphones and play the second deck out loud on the devices you using.Version: 4.1.5

Please bring back aspect ratio and auto repeat :)DJay is awesome - it’s the ONLY app I use for both music and video playback. As sophisticated as Djay is, I do miss the ability to change aspect ratio in the video player (for my large library of older videos) and also miss the auto repeat feature for both audio and video. I actually kept an old iPhone with iOS 13 so I could use these features from the old Vjay app. I hope we can see these again in a future Djay update! Thanks!!!!.Version: 3.6.1

GoodReally good.Version: 3.0.3

Pretty much bulletproofI use this app on air and it does a terrific job. Can be as simple or as complex as you want to make it..Version: 3.2.1

Good AppGenuinely a Good dj app nun wrong wit it.Version: 4.1.7

Amazing 10/10 the best on the marketInterface is unique and easy to control. Features are incredible, so much content along with a huge variety of features to accomodate any skill level DJ. I highly recommend this amazing software for beginner DJ’s and pro DJ’s, this will be the future of DJ’s..Version: 3.8.2

Droppin my first mix down tonight! dj ask 👉🏼🎤Love it super comfortable to use mix app of ALL TIME😆.Version: 4.1.6

Not needed premium audio streaming.I use soundcloud for all my audio and music and i don’t understand why I can’t use it unless I have premium soundcloud (soundcloud go+) which is a payed subscription. I can use it on other apps so I might go use those apps until I can properly have my wanted songs on this one. Otherwise, great app 😎.Version: 3.4

User friendly but simpleNice.Version: 3.6.7

Amazing dj companion in the fieldCombine DJAY with a set of professional speakers that have TWS BLUETOOTand you got a rock solid back up solution in an emergency to buy you the time you need to get back up and running or finish out the gig if need be..Version: 4.0.11

Epic appI love this app for so many reasons!! The only thing I would say against it is I can’t buy it out right!!! Perhaps you could charge yearly a small fee for updates if it was purchased outright so you can keep maintaining the program!!! Has been done in the past!! I would love this option 😍.Version: 3.6.7

Best DJ App for iPhone imo!I’ve tried a lot of different DJ apps on here and while nothing will compare to VirtualDJ, that isn’t available on iOS so this is definitely the closest alternative out there. My only few complaints would be; - the vocal/instrumental isolation tools could be improved quality wise, especially when isolating vocals but I have noticed recent updates have added extra tools to try and improve so hopefully it’ll only get better - more looper sound packs; they’re all great but there’s only so many things you can do with the same packs, even if we had to pay for the extra ones I wouldn’t mind as long as they were reasonably priced - there is a bug I’ve encountered since downloading where often times the track will start a few seconds in instead of at the beginning which can get frustrating especially when doing longer mixes that use multiple tracks at specific points - another bug I encounter a lot is especially when using looper over two tracks, the last loaded track never matches with the BPM set of the looper making it quite hard to mix and sound good using more than one track. Other than these though I love this app, maybe some cool personalization things would make a good addition too like setting custom colours for the decks other than that keep up the great work! ❤️.Version: 4.1.3

5 stars!!!Awesome app that would be much better if I could afford the premium subscription....Version: 4.1.6

The best for your iPad ProLove this djay app, super intuitive and the djayProAI version does most of the heavy mixing and syncing for you it sounds so seamless. The 12.9 inch screen layout of the app packs a lot of buttons and slides and there is a bit of lag on full brightness but otherwise, it keeps on going like a E Bunny..Version: 3.7.5

DjayAbsolutely fantastic app. Highly recommend this 👍.Version: 4.1.9

Super goodI really like this app because it is not complicated and hard to use, there isn’t ads, and I like how it has so many options !.Version: 3.7.7

Onwards…Great app Algoriddim. Maybe some tighter integration with looper and library transition. When creating on the fly with looper it would be nice to some more features when transitioning from looper to a track from your library. I think at the moment it’s only possible to reduce the volume of the looper to fade into a library track. Maybe some application of effects to the Looper would help, an echo out for example…..Version: 4.0.11

Very goodI’ve been using this app for 5 years now, mainly on my iPad. I have recently brought the pioneer DDJ400 controller, The app has still been very good to me but I’m finding that when I am playing that the audio is dropping out after an hour or so of playing. It’s really embarrassing in front of a crowd of people, the issue was said to be fixed but I’m suffering with it not only the one time through my set but multiple times. I’m still trying to figure out if it is the app not being completely compatible with the DDJ 400 or the other way round. I haven’t been given answers I’ve searched things up but they are from a long time ago, need serious help with this if anyone can help would be very appreciated. The App it’s self is very good it has everything you need..Version: 3.7.9

Un logiciel très créatifJ’adore DJAY pour ipad , c’est magique et intuitif. Bravo!.Version: 4.1.6

From Liam and JaxonThis is really fun.Version: 4.0.12

Great applicationAwesome.Version: 4.0.12

DJ_SMB1Hi there , I’m a beginner DJ just started about 3 mouths ago and I’m enjoying DJay pro.. I love the simplicity of the Interface and everything is at your fingertips.. For me the looper and samples are really nice because I can make my own track/beat to use as a transition to a new song.. if I have any complaint about it , at times my looper sounds won’t work. The looper section will pull up but it won’t be available for me to use from time to time.. if I can get some advice about fixing it now we cool? But everything else is a-o-k with me!.Version: 3.6.6

There’s no time like the right timeTimely arrival with inclusion of Hi-Fi streaming. The BPM & Key filter only display for a handful of songs. Hopefully we’ll see an option to save mixes from steaming services to keep on device/app only..Version: 3.3.5

IOS 14 upgrade made it useless with DJ consoles3 stars as I really like this app and use it everyday in standalone mode auto mixing my Beatport and Tidal playlists. Unfortunately, it no longer works with my DDJ-400 controller. After iOS update on my IPhone XR, the app constantly crashes and loses wired connection with my deck. As many other users, I am eagerly awaiting a fix. Once updated, it’s definitely 5 star app. Mobile version is actually much better than computer version which I also own..Version: 3.5.9

Such a great way to practise.I DJ using my own beats. Import into iPad and it is pretty close at a conceptual level to using digital vinyl. Very good app..Version: 3.5.4

Loving this AppEven better on Mac with Pioneer equipment for videos :).Version: 3.7.7

Best DJ App Ever!!No other app compares.. love the new improvements and the cue point detection..Version: 4.0.12

So good! Such a huge improvement from the last. Now this is an update! Such wonderful changes that make this an actual working dj app, nothing but good things to say about this latest update. When I downloaded this app like 2 yrs ago I felt so bummed because I had payed for another version that was a waste of money, it was so bad I erased it from my phone. So I went back to Djay 2, but I just re-downloaded this version again and it amazing . Happy happy.Version: 3.1.11

Best appIt’s the controller on my device! Perfect for practicing my DJ skills. Brilliant..Version: 3.8.11

The best dj app to travel withThis is the most integrated and featuring the best interface to djing without complication through the iphone. This is a small device and they really understood how to create intelligent interface with the space available and without going too small, like other dj apps are doing. Thx to keep updating it..Version: 4.1.3

Cool App...Great ground to practice on without too much of a $ investment - my son (7yrs) absolutely loves it!!!.Version: 2.7.4

ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLEProbably the best software I’ve ever used in my life... Thank you 🙏🏻☮️ Edit: Had to delete App since it used over 6GB’s of memory, made sure to keep my subscription but after reloading the app I now have quite a few problems with the video mixer. I can’t use the third manual FX for visual, audio or a/v anymore! Only the first two actually work. Plus one of the graphics is constantly stuck downloading and never completes. It’s such a shame as I made some great videos before this happened and now feel very limited in what I can produce. Also made a whole 19min video and the audio didn’t work at all. Really wish I hadn’t deleted now as I lost so much from purely having a small issue with memory. Please help....Version: 3.7.1

NicePretty good for an app on ur phone.Version: 3.3.4

AaaaaAa.Version: 4.0.12

Great app to get your feet wet, and beyond!!Great app for learning fundamentals and grasping different concepts. If you want to learn to Djay this is a great place to start, and gauge your “actual” interest before going out and spending a ton of money on expensive equipment. I recommend getting good at beat matching, and playing around with the production preset tools/samples for a month or two first. If you’re still into it, then look into some of the suggestions they offer for accompanying HW to move to the next level..Version: 3.2.7

BugsSo I started to use Djay a while ago and it was working pretty fine as I would make audios for videos. Recently when I try to upload a file and make audios, it either doesn’t work, or it works but it’s not the full song and the duration is only for 1 second which makes me irritated, because a while ago it was working fine but now it’s not working? I would like for it to be fixed but overall it’s a pretty good app..Version: 3.6.1

MixesOn Djay Pro Thé Audio Loops Can someone who makes audio Loops can he make more like 5000 or something because I want more audio Loops.Version: 4.1.9

I Love DjSo They say you find yourself in your 20’s, I can say with the love I have for music and Discovering this app I believe with my passion for the music industry already dancing and Improving my singing this is the direction I want so thank you algoriddim DJ! Awesome !.Version: 3.5.2

Such a great program to learn to Dj!Really happy with this app and I’m currently still on the free version. So easy to use and some of my professional Dj mates are even using it from time to time when they want to be super portable and just take their iPad. I’m looking forward to getting the Mixtour 2 channel controller for my gigs but even without that I can still do all the things I need to..Version: 3.0.8

Update on previous review.I’ve deleted my old review and will post this instead. After my previous niggles with this app stating that the Pro or 2 versions were better I now totally rescind those remarks. After having had time to adjust to the interface, get used to some changes to what certain buttons now do and also adding a midi controller to my iPad I have to say it’s bloody great! More than happy to pay an annual fee to gain access to the extra features. The ability to skip forward and back by a set amount of beats is great to hop through a really long and quiet break in a track. Two thinks I’d like to see are 1) The loop and skip options are increased from 32 to 64 2) We get the ability to ad our own samples from the Files app. Apart from that it’s all good stuff from me..Version: 3.2.4

This apps mean asSimple and easy to use super cool mix videos 2 screw it up I’m not even a djay but it’s cool playing music on this and jamming while I blaze 1 in the car parked up somewhere low key, like using the hp lp filter on strings and synths buzzy as scratching mixing cue points chop it up shoutout to the developers yous created the meanest djay app right here and all the ones before this A+++++.Version: 3.5.4

Not to happy with new update...I have been enjoying using your app for over a year now but the latest update removed the show matching songs which I use regularly and I noticed a buffering issue trying to search songs I don’t usually get. Would like to see this fixed ASAP please. Keep up the good work as I love the ease of use on this app.Version: 4.0.1

So good so easyThe update from djay2 to djay initially was rocky for me as there was a lot going on in a tiny device. This new neural mix changes the game entirely, it’s not even a contest what to use if mobile mixing. Pack a usb deck plug into a power pack, connect to djay and a speaker and boom - it’s party time anywhere you have a data connection. My only feedback is that the subscription does not transfer devices (eg if you have it on your phone you have to sub on your iPad also, this is lame but doesn’t take away from the quality of the app at all)..Version: 3.5

Yerrrp! So much fun, better than a cheap controller by far..Version: 4.1.7

Best DJ app aroundSimple catalog/cue management, portability across devices, compatibility with and MIDI mapping to controllers/mixers of all complexities and brands, Ableton Link - the list of reasons to use DJay is long…as well as being excellent value for money. Without doubt, DJay is the best app available for aspiring legend DJs to develop their craft and, importantly, it has the functionality and depth to support you as your mixing/live production skills and confidence develop..Version: 3.8.4

Really super dj appIt’s fairly intuitive but like anything you’ve gotta put in a few hours to really understand it. I DJ dance nights so not really mixing but can still determine end points and auto fade out linger tracks with a wee pause before next track comes in. I really wish I could have my djay playlists sync from my Mac to my back up devices - iPad and iPhone. If you create your playlists in Apple Music then not an issue as can sync them but I like creating playlists in the app itself as gives me so much more info - BPM etc. Please give us a way to do this. 5* if this is sorted..Version: 4.1.6

Dj proExcellent dj app. Makes keeping your hand in and making up playlists a doodle. With some of the new updates makes remixing songs a real pleasure and gives you a lot of options and control to really make a different track from the original. Works great with Mac version and because you can use it on your phone means you can always liven up a party. Great for beginners who want to see if they have the musical ability to be able to DJ without getting bogged down with the technical side. Love it..Version: 3.1.3

SubscriptionsLook it’s a great app but you can only to the basics of editing songs so developers please cut back on what you have to buy because I have to waste 7.59 something like that on something that I can put into garage band So please fix this.Version: 3.5.6

Thank you for the first year discountReally a subscription now - Such an awesome update and will try it and who knows I may use this as my Main DJ Rig. Please consider a one off price after the year for us loyal customers who have bought and paid for all your old versions now which will never use again - thank you.Version: 3.0.1

Awesome!Very good for making edit audios (lol), but I wish you wouldn’t have to pay to record the audio. I don’t mind screen recording, but still. Edit: I’ll definitely consider getting premium now as the new Neutral Mix feature is incredible! Instant acapellas and instrumentals?? Sick! I’d definitely use those features for remixes. Thank you!.Version: 3.5.1

Great DJ softwareThe DJay pro app is fantastic, seamlessly links to Soundcloud and has a very user friendly interface. I love it! I really have no complaints about it, it’s simply awesome!!!.Version: 4.1.7

Music library login without djay premium?I’ve been logged out of my TIDAL account and it’s so frustrating to have to pay 10$ for the djay premium just to scroll down and log back in! please fix this!.Version: 3.7.5

Love it but I have a problem with most recent update.I absolutely love DJay. However, the most recent update is causing me a little problem. When selecting a file from my library that is a video file, the app will give a pop-up suggestion to open in the video view EVERY time! This means if I want to stay in a different view I have to close the pop-up every time I chose a video file. Can you make that a one time notification or an option to disable the pop-up in settings, please. Disregard my last....the problem has been corrected. Thank you..Version: 3.3.2

Best APPYour mixes and music just sound perfect. The only app u need for on the go mixing.Version: 4.1.6

Love it!...but it could use a few tweaksThis app is how I listen to music; I barely even use the music app anymore. I like the wide range of effects I can choose from, I like the malleability of the software when it comes to changing tempo and almost everything else. Lastly, I absolutely love how you can see the tempos and keys of songs while you're selecting one in your library and that you can change the pitch or keep it the same, even when you need to tweak the BPM a bit. However, no great app is without its flaws. First off, there has been a recurring bug even since Djay 2 was a thing, where the app would mislabel the artist of quite a few of the songs in the music library. For example, the song "Astrocat" by an artist called PIXL is labeled by the app under a different artist in my library, for example, "Droptek and Tut Tut Child." Second off, I have a question. Djay 2 had a feature where you could record your own samples and make your own sample packs. It doesn't say whether this comes with pro features or not. Is that a pro features thing or was it removed entirely? Again, I love the app, but just a few bugs may need to be fixed..Version: 3.2.6

THIS IS THE DJ APP YOU WANT TO HAVESeriously have tried all the DJ Mixing apps out there and this is by far the one you want to have ! Amazing features and awesome user friendly platform! I haven’t looked back since! Only thing I can ask to better is the vocal or beat melody filtering feature can use some work as you can still hear background noise from the track but besides that awesome 10/10.Version: 4.1.9

DjayIs fun to mess with even if you’re just old.Version: 4.1.9

Kickin dj appAs a dj with 30 years of trance mixing under the belt this is a really nice app for those who want the pro experience..the only issue i have is it can be a little easy to accidently tap n drop from the app when using latest iphones to mix n record..the interface can be difficult to fit text on the screen in visualisation mode and the track visuals could be slightly larger for male fingers if using iphone to do your thing..trance on this is one of the best out there..dj kama australia.Version: 3.5.2

GreatGreat.Version: 3.0.7

Almost 5 starsSo i used this app for a while when i had a beatpad 2 and mixon 4 for ios and they worked pretty flawless but then i wanted more controller options so switched to cross dj but now with pretty much being able to map any midi controller and how well it works with ddj 200 ive switched back on a free trial of the current djay since i had purchased PRO version way back. Im thinking of keeping subscription its just id like to be able to add fx on the loops/clip section . But other than that this app is great a lil confusing at first but thats because it gives you a lot of options.Version: 3.1.7

The Handsome picture of itAs sometimes it may always work the wrong way sometimes it needs a good amount of improvement with side-effects and how it works have a pressure goes and how it hurts I have to make sure that somehow you can try and think of something very good to Do by and then when that happens it will beThe most gorgeous thing everything is going to do and happen with you and me that I’m not going to believe that anymore because you are extremely important to us because I know that I’m doing something that greatly appreciate and encouragement and inpredictable and information..Version: 4.0.5

A fantastic appI normally produce music but have always had an interest in DJ’ing. I didn’t want to break the bank on an expensive setup, I bought a Reloop Mixtour controller and currently on the free trial. I’m blown away, literally, this has been the most fun I’ve had in years with technology. You can make folders in Files app and have a selection of different styles of music, then just select the folder with your own music in, great. I’ve not got deep with the program yet as I’ve been to busy mixing. I will definitely be buying a years subscription when the trial has run out. Many thanks for making this a fantastic app for DJ’s and hobbyists too..Version: 3.3.5

THE BESTSo easy to use like amazing it even has a trainer its the BEST!!!!!!! You have to download it o.Version: 4.1.3

Best DJ app worthy contenderIt works well love the way you can mix tracks with the sampler wish there were more sound packs and would like to be able to customise your own pads but good job djay.Version: 3.1.4

Beat gridsBeat grids for drum and bass automatically set on the snare - we need them on the downbeat (the kick) I can manually set them but it’s so much hassle when playing a set - and drum and bass is fast mixing, so it takes up time you don’t have to manually set them when mixing Other then that, great app - although it said I would be charged £6 a month but am being charged £10!.Version: 3.8.7

Great AppIt’s so useful and easy to use. Thanks a lot.Version: 4.1.3

Love this app so much ! Highly recommend this for anyone who loves mixing :)5 stars all day long !!!.Version: 4.1.8

GénialUne application facile à utiliser et très agréable à mixer avec.Version: 4.0.13

Vraiment bien fait c est malade !👍🏻Vraiment bien fait c est malade ! 👍🏻👍🏻.Version: 3.0.8

Why no Inter-app audio? The developers may not think users want or need this & maybe there is another way but Inter-app audio or Audio Unit Extension integration would be useful to me. Trying to get this app to play nice with GarageBand iOS (as a functional audio channel/‘instrument’ accessible from within GarageBand on iPad) to record scratch phrases from just one turntable straight into GB would be great. Otherwise really good!.Version: 3.8.2

Underrated app!!💫💫Amazing app for audio edits or just to vibe,You should definetly buy PRO it will make the experience 1000x times better but the free version also does have plenty of good stuff, for well being free :) 5 stars for me!.Version: 4.0.8

Getting betterHave this a 2 star rating when I first starting using it but managed to get my recordings from the djay 2 app over and working thanks to the developers helpful tips. Also now tried subscribing and the loop feature is nothing short of excellent, really love this. Visual effects are really good as well. The only reason this got 4 and not 5 stars is I can’t buy it outright and subscription would be more realistic if it was £2 a month.. option to buy would be best, please consider adding...Version: 3.0.4

Slightly over-reachingIt is an undeniably good time spinning records from the bottomless crate of music-streaming services. Makes nearly any DJ mix you could imagine possible. This makes the app perfect for DJing your living room after parties, free-styling a set from Tidal suggestions, or playing DJ Request on the ones and twos. This is a really fun app and a great way for people to dip their toes in the DJing pool before diving into a multi-thousand-dollar investment on CDJs and a Mixer. The audio quality is passable for most parties, but it’s not professional-grade, which is fine. My only real complaint is that the app will crash eventually if I video-DJ over AirPlay to an AppleTV. Takes about 15 - 20 minutes, and I’m guessing this is a memory leak. But whatever, it’s still a good party trick and I still would recommend checking the app out if you’re curious. You probably won’t regret it. It’s really a lot of fun and can help hone in a DJs set of skills, allowing for many opportunities to expo and/or practice wherever. Keep it up, guys; and maybe see about that memory leak?.Version: 3.4.2

Superstar DJ is child’s playAfter purchasing this app for our son (under 10] he’s grown to love music even more and often keeps family and friends entertained with the mixing deck and Looper functions. Well recommended as a starting app at least..Version: 4.1.5

I actually use this to make dance tracks and more!DJayAIPro has developed so much I actually use this in making my music tracks which I stream! My process us I produce my track, place the same track on both decks, and then use looper, effects, levels etc. to produce a good version. It beat matches samples to your track so you get great, unusual combinations! I would love many more sound packs on here please and an ability to pick and choose between different ones to create my looper samples deck. Great stuff - keep it going! DubCHEQ.Version: 4.1.9

Amazing Software But…It keeps wiping itself. There should be a button to analyse all of the tracks as fast as possible. There’s no “play all” button or “play all tracks over 0% volume” option. There are no reverse play buttons. Also, when you change the volume of your phone itself for whatever reason the iPhones volume bar shows over the menu buttons which makes them inoperable. I hope you take these into consideration.Version: 3.8.9

Most used app on my phoneEver since my hardware started acting screwy, I decided to give some alternatives a try. I’ve only ever mixed and recorded analog... 1200s, CDJs with actual CDs, mixer into the AUX of a stereo, cassette recordings... I’ve never used software before. I wouldn’t even know how to connect my laptop to my mixer. Yeah I know... ridiculous, right? But if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. Well... it broke. So I decided to give some of the DJ apps a try. And I gotta say... most of the ones I tired were pretty terrible. Hot garbage, if I’m being honest. They had interesting qualities but wasn’t quite “there”. And the recordings sounded worse than my cassette recordings, hiss and all. This was the last app I tried. And I fell in love. So much so, I actually pay for it... and if you knew me... you’ll know I never spend money on apps. Only reason this is 4 stars instead of 5, is because the app drains my battery pretty quickly. Otherwise it’s be the full 5 stars. Anyways, hope my review is helpful to someone on the fence about giving it a try. All I’ll say is, this is by far the best app I’ve come across that fulfills what I need in a DJ setup... and more. I’ve tried about 4 other ones, and not only is this smoother and easier to use, the UI is way better looking than the others I tried. Solve that battery draining problem and I’d go as far as it say it’s perfect (for what I need). Good luck!.Version: 3.6

Great appReally great app and works with my pioneer controller perfect mostly. Since the latest update though it seems my soundcloud liked tracks don’t fully load. It now only shows a random bunch of 100 tracks. Any bugs that are causing this?.Version: 3.5.4

Awesome!Great app, the best DJ app so far. Really easy to use and great with Spotify.Version: 3.2.6

Algo DJAs a former pro DJ from the vinyl era who (sometimes regrettably) sold his vinyl and Technics SL1200’s I was initially blown away with the functionality and ease of use as well as the technology and effects. Absolutely perfect if you have something bigger to ‘play’ on such as an iPad and you can do fairly serious scratching on it but if you really want the tactile effect of a controller then this works perfectly with entry level controllers such as Pioneer’s DDJ200 which connects via Bluetooth. For me nothing compares to vinyl but this app comes pretty close and is so portable and easy to use that anyone can have a go at DJing but remember you’ll need to buy a headphone splitter cable if you want to DJ like the pros..Version: 3.3.5

Kicks the other dj apps I have tried hard in the nexusI started djing in the 90s on vinyl, and got into into digital djing about five years ago. I used to do a few gigs in pubs and clubs etc, but as more of a side hustle than my day job. I have some mid-range controllers, decks and several different leading ‘pro’ software installed on pc (Traktor, Rekordbox). I thought, surely these guys might have an iPad app for use on the go, and yes, there are some apps out there. However, this one just kicks them hard in the ganglies for ease of use, range of accessible music sources (itunes, beatport, tida, etc etc). I was testing it with my 6th gen iPad and a mates DdJ200 which is one of the cheapest “beginner” midi controllers out there (approx $NZ 198 current retail) and thinking “why spend $2k plus on a system, when I could just stick this set in a bag and off I go? Frankly, even though I am a keen Traktor enthusiast, their iPad offerings are an embarrassment compared to this. Others make you subscribe or pay to even trial the software. Bluetooth connection with the pioneer DDJ-200 controller (one of several “recommended” midi controllers), is extremely stable, freeing up the headphone jack (you may need an adapter for lighting/usb-c for more recent models) for connection to a speaker system and headphones (using a splitter cable). Obviously there is limited audio output options for playing professional clubs, but with a great range of effects, built in drum machine and beats samplers, you could easily rock a house party with this setup. Like all the other apps (and professional software) you cannot record directly from streaming services, so will need some form of external recording device or software (audacity anyone?), but you can record sets with personal music loaded onto the iPad. IF YOU COULD integrate with Mixcloud to stream online sets, you could record them this way, because of their licensing arrangements, so developers, maybe get in touch with the Mixcloud team? If you could integrate the ability to upload/stream sets directly to Mixcloud, I would cry tears of joy. FABULOUS WORK..Version: 4.0.2

Neural Mix updateAn already amazing app, but, wow! this app just keeps getting better :).Version: 3.5

WowYou know what i love this app really good i had problems meaning i could not use my DJ decks so i went to do some research and found out i could adapt it to my phone using apple to USB adapter ive just tested it and it works my DJ decks came on i was able to control the app using my DJ decks and the pro features are really good but i did run into a bug when taking locals beats or the song its self it cant properly take it out then the app struggling to keep the parts i dont want in out then it makes the audio bad so please fix that but apart from that this app is highly suggested.Version: 3.6.7

Great app....butA great app. As a Dj being able to record mixes from your decks always involves lots of tech and gets long. This app offers a simple way to do that. Developers...I have one gripe. The gain controls to set your levels are too small and fiddly. I spend all time trying to get the levels right. Surely we can make it easier by changing the interface to allow easy adjustment. I don’t use any of the technical aids when I’m mixing..Version: 3.3.4

Play music off iCloud/ files, ditch iTunes musicI don’t have a computer, just a phone. There aren’t many decent music players for iOS. I make my own music, on my phone, and like to listen to them. I can do that with this player. It makes listening to music really fun. You can play around with effects, record, mix, and has some pretty intuitive features. It did eat my battery pretty fast. Not something that you can use all the time, unless you’re plugged in. I see dj’s as music makers that haven’t really taken that crucial next step into music making. You could call them posers, or noobs. Especially since everyone can afford to make music on their computers and phones/ iPads now. I see if dj apps want to make it in the future now, they’ll need to start seeing themselves as musical instruments. Therefore integrate themselves into AUM/ Audiobus/ audio units/ plug-ins/ effects. Without this, it’s kind of all gimmicky and doesn’t really last/ transitional to say the least. Dj’s are well mostly fake. Ai can do everything they do. Sure they bring the energy and promote music. But to really bring it, is to make music, and step on fan mode..Version: 3.6.7

AnnoyanceHi I rlly do love your app but every time I try and change the songs that I wanna use it keeps asking me for a free trial can u plz do something bout that cuz it’s getting a bit annoying I don’t wanna be harassed by this app for a free trial.Version: 4.0.12

Ahead of its timeBeen using since beta release many years ago. I’ve used other software many DJs in the industry swear by as standard, but nothing compares. It feels like an extension of yourself when your messing around with sets. It has evolved over the years and has set new standards. I swear by it and it has never failed me. It’s only going to get better!!!!.Version: 4.1.5

Smooth, Intuitive, SoftwareHaving used more than a few Dj software over the years, the latest version of DJay is able to go head to head with the other top softwares. Looking to simplify my mobile dj setup and ease of use I’ve gone to an Apple IPad Pro as my main play system. DJay allows me to do this and eliminate my controller for a more flexible line mixer. The software is able to provide effects and control I had with my controller and add additional tools to use in my shows. DJ Rick London, Ontario Canada.Version: 4.1

Dj k1Very nice apps and what people don’t understand how much we could do with this apps 5 stars.Version: 4.1.8

Djay reviewI love this app. I made 180 dollars while using this at a school gig. This app is so easy to use and connect to my IPad. My parents think the music I made was cool and this app makes it even better. Thanks.Version: 3.8.6

LOVE IT 😍😍😍 GREAT FUNI USE IT ALL THE TIME AND ALWAYS UPGRADE.Version: 3.5.1

Nice AppReally good for mixing just about anything, nice & easy to pick up, functions really well, looks nice on the app, really good with or without the pro version The only thing I could ask for is an update that centres the label pictures on the decks because it throws me off a bit when im trying to mix something and then you've got a near enough perfect dj app. 5 Stars, I’d 100% recommend it.Version: 3.8.2

Epic tool, keep it up 🙌🏼Like all things , it’s what You make Of it . Plain and simple. This is like a well written book, it has all that you need it’s up to you to decipher it. While full production isn’t as available as other pad focused apps, this has what you need to keep a party going / turn up in the car before the fest!/ or just keep yourself busy during cardio. Looking forward to what more you guys can bring ! 🙏🏼 thankful this app has brought me as close to my passion as possible..Version: 3.5.6

Issue with head phonesI love the app but I seem to have a problem connecting to my cable headphones for the pre queuing. It would be amazing if you guys found a way to connect both Bluetooth AirPods for pre queuing and a Bluetooth speakers for the master connection. That would be sick \.Version: 4.1.4

Great appI’ve been using this app I think since 2011 give or take and it’s done nothing but get better. The ONLY gripe I have with it currently is that I can’t edit my track list when using it with TIDAL I can add music to a playlist but I have to go into the TIDAL app to remove it if I added it by accident. PLEASE I’m begging you guys to ad that functionality do this and it will continue to be perfect regardless it’s getting a 4 star from me but please work on this one little thing and I’m telling you it would go a looooong way for many I’m sure. Thanks.Version: 3.5.9

PARDYHi, Loving the app makes listening to music so much fun it’s packed with heaps of features but if you could add an adjustable rich deep bass feature that would crown the app of perfectly Cheers 👍.Version: 4.0.2

Amazing, but...This app is amazing it’s so great you can really do everything but to do more you have to buy this premium thing and it’s really annoying but besides that this app is amazing..Version: 3.0.8

The COOL music is my LIFEDJ The best.Version: 3.6.6

Best DJ app I’ve ever usedLove the blind Accessibility.Version: 3.2.7

Love it!The interface is simple & slick or complicated & cluttered depending on your preferences & style & state of advancement The sounds loops & waveforms are gorgeous crisp & clean the sync to tempo is amazing & ferociously accurate! A bit expensive, but if your serious about E DJing up a tornado this is the app to do it with! the tutorials are simple & informative, auto mix allows you to jump right into the world of DJing anywhere on earth! :D it’s fun!!!.Version: 4.1.6

DJ ManipulatorThe best DJ app for iPad and iPhone on the market. I use an iPad Pro and Traktor s2 midi control decks and with this set up I can pretty much DJ any venue any club any arena with sufficient control and capability to please the crowd no matter how big or how small. I would recommend this app to any beginner, novice or professional DJ out there. For the beginner it has many tutorials and how to videos to get your DJ skills up to par to have you ready to battle with the best in no time at all. Also for the novice and professional DJs out there the tips and tricks that are presented in the videos you can even hone your craft with precision and perfection with ease. Try it try it I can not say it enough get it buy it try it you will not be disappointed. 50 stars for DJ PRO!!!.Version: 3.6.1

Great but.......It’s really great I love the beat loop but when it speeds up the voice only by a fraction it sounds like a flat battery. Also no record option..Version: 3.2.1

GreatAwesome.Version: 4.1.5

Love it!!!Love how easy this app is to use. I use it with my controller (DDJ SB3) and can’t fault it although I’m a little concerned that the app seems to be getting a bit glitchy. I hope I don5 loose my tracks right in the middle of a set.Version: 3.8.7

Didn’t know DJing on a phone could be this goodThis app is excellent! Coming from real decks it is really intuitive, easy to mix to a similar quality and neural mix takes it to a whole other level. The only issue I have is for some reason it won’t load all my soundcloud likes, only the first 30 or so, and when I refresh they all appear for a second and then disappear again. Any suggestions?.Version: 3.5.4

Would love Apple Music integrationI’ve been a loyal djay user for years, and it helped having previously purchased all of my music on iTunes. However now that I have made the switch to streaming, I’m now unable to load any of my library into djay. I do understand it’s a different coding system, but I would really love to see Apple Music integration with this app, as this is the main app I use for making mixes, and I’d really like to have my music library able to be loaded into djay (hence the one star missing)..Version: 3.8.2

Lovin itPlenty of features for the money. Especially like the Tidal integration. Intuitive once you get going..Version: 3.5.1

Been pretty good so farI have been using this program for over 5 years now. It works ok most of the time. Once in awhile it just closes up and i have to relaunch, and start my mixes all over again. Not paying for that. I had the free version that was available then and still use it. I won’t pay to use it on tiny phone and ipad screens as the controls are just not easy on small screens. If they remove the version I currently use, i will definitely uninstall at that point. There’s just simply no feature that would get me to pay a monthly fee. Just a way for these companies to get filthy rich. Look i would maybe consider a one time fee, but subscription to play my own music that ive already paid a fortune for? Will NEVER happen..Version: 3.5.6

Little surprisedI had been using dj pro for over 5 years and had found it brilliant...However, now that everything has been updated am not happy with the new layout. The automix no longer appears to work or am I missing something there...The cueing of tracks seems impossible to access as before and most of all am very surprised that previous recordings made seem to have disappeared all together....overall am not too happy..Version: 3.6.3

Love this app and it’s features! This app is awesome if you love your music. I’m the type of person to download my music and transfer it to my iPhone. This app is perfect for that because it takes that music and I’m able to play around and mix with myself or turn the auto mix on and it mixes the music for me with smooth transitions. It’s a party in my car every time I use this app. The sound effects and feature are fun to use! This app has a lot of power!.Version: 3.6.6

Works perfectGets the job done and is very easy to use..Version: 3.3.5

CoolGreat app even free.Version: 4.1.8

Portable Dj at it’s finest. You can actually see the app doing the work with its intuitive user interface. Quite possibly the most effective app I’ve used on an iPad to date. Good job. Just one thing where is the microphone input for the mixes?.Version: 3.8.7

Fonctionne selon les normesMerci.Version: 4.1.5

Awesome butWorks great. Although I wish it linked with my Spotify and YouTube music..Version: 4.0.13

SubscriptionIf you've been with algoriddim since the start and have been loyal to djay then enjoy this latest instalment and get the free trial. Two deck really has space for fingers on an iPad now. Bells and whistles. Link iPad and djay to many decks now. If you love djay then you'll find you love this new version. It shouldn't be subscription though, it should be one off and expensive. I'm near the end of my trial now. How do I subscribe?.Version: 3.3

Simply The BestI am an old school consumer that had refused to even consider upgrading to the latest & greatest version, and this was due solely to the “subscription” aspect of the transaction. Then our friends at Algoriddim made an offer to us holdovers that was difficult to refuse, and for that I thank you!!! This version is just magnificent!! The UI is so much sleeker, and with everything so readily accessible that it is clearly obvious that these developers listen to the feedback from users... or that they must be users themselves to know just how to improve this DJay APP to the point of near perfection. I am currently not employed so I have not subscribed, but I may seriously have to choose between eating and enjoying my DJing pleasures very soon. Thank you Algoriddim!! Rich.Version: 3.3.4

HeidiIt’s so fun and so cool watching the songs mash together and finding a new favourite song afterwards. I really enjoy all the different songs and finding my favourites and just potting them tiger I find so awesome and so fun I love this app it’s my favourite app well other then the AppStore that prints cool too..Version: 3.1.10

KoolIts really good easy to use like it how the loops blend into any song even when the BPM are slightly higher or lower nice CHE ALLDAY.Version: 3.2.7
