Toyota Entune for Negative User Reviews

DisappointedJapanese known for quality but not anymore. This app not being tested properly. Some issues being resurfaced with updates. I prefer the app being tested throughout than too many updates with bugs introduced. My car is 2014 Sienna XLE. Like to have it connected so i can have traffic data on map. Pandora n iHeart are nice to have features because without the app i can still use Bluetooth to listen to them, of course without the ability to control from the dash screen. Other features from this app are useless for me. Password not being remembered is annoying. Every few days, I have to re enter password. When you re driving and it asked for password is not safe. And this app does not have more security information than my bank apps, bank apps retained password with fingerprint pretty neat. Bluetooth dropped out often. And most the time required restart the car to hand shake properly. Refreshing connections while car still running most the time not able to connect to app while phone Bluetooth can work ok. Some people said enjoy using this to watch stock market, I think it’s a joke. Stock price seems to update only once per day..Version: 1.22.61

Toyota, this is embarrassing!!!I have never used such a functionless app! I have another care with CarPlay and it works great. With Entune, if it does connect it does so after 5 min of "Warming up". I have no idea why Bluetooth is not seamless. Half of the time when it does connect I get music or audio books cutting in and out every 2sec. I then reboot the system and it works for a couple times before it cuts out again. I also get the system locking up when trying to connect. BTW, the system often connects okay to the phone but rarely to the audio function unless I select it to do so. Even then, this is when the system locks up and I cannot push any buttons at all unless I turn off the key and restart the truck. I have a brand new Tundra. At the dealer, they seemed super surprised!! What!!! Have they not looked at the ratings??? I love Toyota and that is why I bought another one. I am just so fet up with the infotainment system that makes me question their new vehicles. If you cannot make something work on your own then buy a system to integrate that does!!! Like CarPlay. Please make me a believer again in Toyota. Fixing this would go a long way!!!.Version: 1.27.770

Worse App EverCan someone help me understand why AppleCarPlay isn’t available in a 2019 Limited 4Runner? I can’t even start or unlock/lock my vehicle remotely. I called Toyota and all I got was “so sorry”. This app is totally useless, no access to Waze or TuneIn radio. The navigation isn’t too much better, it takes you way out of your route causing you too waste gas instead of the most direct route. For the money I’m spending I should have purchased a Kia Telluride or Hyundai Palisade which both offer AppleCarPlay. I’m so disappointed with Toyota and I hate to say this but this will most likely I my last Toyota if this is what they’re going to offer. They should offer to have the radio headset updated at their expense to compete with their competitors but I’m definitely not holding my breath! Another disappointed customer with no possible solution in sight!!.Version: 1.27.770

Weather ChannelSo for 6 months the Weather Channel app on Entune just spun “waiting to connect.” Finally 2 weeks ago it started working. Got an update on the app now about nothing works again, including The Weather Channel. This has been ongoing for about a year. Called and talked to a rep, who was baffled, told me to do an update on the 4RUNNER system, that was already done, and when I called back they told me to take it to a Toyota service center. So when I had routine maintenance, I told the service advisor about it. He just laughed. And told me to call the service center! So I have a system that doesn’t work. Great! My wife has a Subaru and I am just amazed at how well her system works. ToyotaEntune needs to hire some people from there!!!.Version: 1.29.85

Ok when it worksThis is one of those things you have to have to use the functionality of your head unit, and almost all the functionality of the extra apps don't work unless this is connected and signed in. Therein lies the problem. The app continually disconnects and requires you to enter your account log in info to get paired back up. Sometimes I might go a week or 2 with no issues, then sometimes it might require some work daily to get up and running. So go ahead and find a nice place to park while you get that keyed back in so you can get back to the music. I created some keyboard shortcuts to keep from typing out my entire email address every time, but nonetheless, it's a giant pain. I keep praying they will push out an update to keep your login credentials but I'm not holding my breath..Version: 1.21.58

2018 Toyota Tacoma. Entune is a joke.If I could rate it a zero star I would but I'm forced to rate it a one star. No point in me stating everything that's lousy about this whole system. It seems the vast majority of every owner out there feels the same way. There is not one item I like about this entire app suite. If it had Apple Play it may be good. If Toyota thought they were going to surpass Apple in the vehicle entertainment department they were sadly wrong. This system is truly useless. Everything about the truck is great. However I will be looking at other options next year and most likely will trade this in for another make/model that has a far more superior entertainment system. What a major flop with this lousy system..Version: 1.28.80

Simple app, simple expectationsAfter they dropped support for Pandora, I tried Slackerradio. I really like it, but tonight couldn’t get it to play more than 1 song & 1 news repot, then it would stop loading. The only way to get Slacker back was to force quit Entune and reconnect. I’m giving it 3 stars based on experience with the app. It’s very simple, it mostly works for what it supposed to do. The Entune system itself is a joke. It baffles me how Toyota vehicles are so high quality, yet the entertainment/navigation system is so garbage. Instead of adding more integration with more apps, they have done the opposite. The app feels very low quality, very entry level, but it does work..Version: 1.25.712

Entune is a Complete FailureThe Entune system in my 2015 Tacoma was decent when I first got the truck in 2015. That was until updates started coming and now the head unit reboots itself every 15 to 20 minutes. I’ve faithfully updated this app in hopes that an actual fix would come through to keep the unit from crashing and rebooting. No such luck. I wish I had never installed this app and never updated my head unit. I tweeted Toyota support for assistance and they simply said take my truck to a dealer to have it serviced. I just want the original firmware that worked back. I don’t want to go to a dealer to have a bunch of sales people trying to hump my leg and try to talk me into buying a new car. Toyota broke my head unit remotely in my driveway, they can come to my driveway to fix it..Version: 1.22.61.1

Terribly Designed, Not Updated, Little FunctionalityI just bought a new 2017 Prius, and downloaded the Entune app to hopefully improve the car wreck of Toyota’s Entune system. The app provides very little extra functionality, and looks awful as an added bonus. The design of the app looks like Toyota stopped caring in 2012. It’s not updated for larger screens, and they’ve built their own notifications that mimicked iOS standard notification boxes. Except they ripped off the design from iOS 6 and earlier. That’s a 5.5 year old OS. Opening Entune is like stepping into a time machine that takes you back 6 years. I love the new Prius. But why can’t we just use CarPlay? The design of the Entune system in the car is simply embarrassing. Not to mention difficult to use. My wife (who doesn’t notice stuff like this) even mentioned, “Wow, this looks really cheap and outdated.”.Version: 1.22.61

Complete waste!Toyota needs to completely scrap this app. It requires log in every time you start the car. That requires email/user if log in with password...it does not remember any information. What's the point? At the very minimum it should only require Touch ID to reconnect. Because of this, I never use it! Which means I never use iHeart radio or Pandora radio, much less the other applications it claims to offer! Once you are connected, it never seems to work. Often choosing an application from the car's touch screen is greeted with a message that it's "not connected" when it is! Then from the iPhone you can't even select applications. They should swap this out and put in Apple Car Play! My daughters Hyundai has it and its 100% better and works every time!.Version: 1.21.58

Stop logging me out - Suggestions for ToyotaThe app is fine when it connects for the most part. I like that I can manage my pandora through the head unit. However, it's when it disconnects that's a problem. For some reason, you get logged out of the app and have to re-login in order to get your dash-based functionality back. This is where Entune fails. Toyota needs to retain the login credentials so you can simply click the login button or integrate with Touch ID. Having to retype my login information after I've started moving in the car is obviously a problem. I have to pull over and put the car in park in order to do this safely. This would improve the user experience exponentially!.Version: 1.21.58

Incredibly BadHave had Entune on my 2016 Avalon since I bought the car new. It’s terrible! Constantly loses car connection and the occasional updates do nothing other than eliminate prior functionality. Have never maintained an iHeartRadio or Slacker connection for more than five minutes. Dealer and techs are clueless. They have no fix and have acknowledged that Entune just does not work. Foolishly, I paid for the premium version. This is a class action suit waiting to happen—if it hasn’t already! I love my car but will never again buy a Toyota and, you know what, Toyota just doesn’t care. They have screwed their customers and show no signs of changing. Even my dealer’s Master Technician said the Entune hardware and software are terrible and his colleagues consider it a joke!.Version: 1.27.770

Connects to car, after that it's pretty much abysmalThe Entune app *technically* functions, in that it can be used to play audio from my iPhone in my 2012 Prius. It doesn't exactly function consistently (frequently has to be disconnected and reconnected repeatedly to get past the "loading" screen), precisely (forget about your passengers watching videos, given the half-second audio lag), or when intended (connecting your phone to charge the battery? Better hope you want to hear the beginning of your iTunes playlist every time!), but it does function in the most basic sense of the word. Honestly, you may be better off just buying an audio-to-radio-frequency adapter and skipping the audio interface entirely. At least the driving directions through Entune could be a nice help if you don't already have a smartphone with that functionality, but the interface there is pretty weak as well. I guess the Pandora connection is a nice touch?.Version: 1.21.58

A constant irritantEntune in my 2017 Highlander is bad enough, but this app makes it even worse (if that’s possible). It caches your credentials (good) and tries to log in every time you start your car (uh, ok I guess...but why?). Unfortunately, if it can’t log in for any reason (like your phone has no signal in the parking garage or a rural area), it throws your credentials away and makes you re-enter them. Which, of course, you you can’t BECAUSE YOU HAVE NO SIGNAL!! It also jumps to the foreground and pushes useful apps, like Google Maps to the background. When it is connected, it doesn’t do much. You can stream Pandora, but it’s so clunky it’s easier just to use Bluetooth to stream through the app on my phone. Facebook Locations? Does anyone actually use that? Movie listings? Easier on the phone. Basically, anything that you can do through Entune is easier directly through your phone. So - love my 2017 Toyota Highlander. Already have 40,000 miles on it and it’s not even two years old. But in 2019, when I have 60,000 miles and it’s time for a new one, I’ll be looking hard at the Honda Pilot (which has CarPlay) unless Entune has been replaced..Version: 1.22.61.1

Worse than nothingI've used this app two times and both times it logged me out after parking my car for less than 20 min. I had LTE available both times. The car updated itself when I ran it the first time, but this app is so old it still references in the release notes, the previous version of iOS to fix bugs that still exist 9 months later. The aspect ratio is from an iPhone 4 screen size. They must have fired their entire app development team, or got some high school kids to do it for free as a class project. I'm deleting the app and I seriously question why I bought a car with such a terrible entertainment system. Toyota needs to personally apologize to every person they subjected this garbage to..Version: 1.22.61.1

Stunningly badThis is the 10 year anniversary of the iPhone, but the only possible explanation for the poor performance of this app is that none of the developers neither own nor have used an iphone. Perhaps they still have Motorola Razors, the app has that look and feel. Why, for example upon starting the car does the system automatically play the first alphabetically listed song on my iPhone? Why can't I make this stop? Why does it show songs in my icloud that are not on my phone? Why does the app need frequent relogging on? Do not download. you will either spend too much time in your driveway trying to get it to work before you drive or kill youself trying to get it to stop doing something when you are driving. If only japanese industry had developed experience with electronics, audio, and automobiles.....Version: 1.21.58

2014 Highlander-Love car, would not buy againIn this day in age, buying a car with technology as bad as Entune feels like I bought a car that was a lemon. The fact that Toyota, in my opinion the best car maker in the world, puts out such garbage on its head unit will make me shop around when I replace my car. I’ve owned Toyotas for 25 years and until using Entune and seeing what competitors can do after recently renting a car, never thought I’d even consider another brand. Phone connectivity and technology is too important today for Toyota to be rounding out last place in the ranking. Entune is an embarrassment. I can’t even get an accurate forecast as it shows me a city 45 miles away in another country. C’mon Toyota! When you’re done replacing all those deadly Takata airbags start replacing head units with post-1998 technology!.Version: 1.25.712

Crashed my iPhone X!Yesterday the App kept insisting that I disconnect my IPhone X,as it had for the last 2 weeks since I connected it. I finally gave in and disconnected the Toyota Entune App! As soon as I did, my IPhone crashed! My screen was so large, that I could not operate it because it refused to allow me to turn it off! The only option it gave me was an SOS Call with a COUNT DOWN TIMER OF 5 SECONDS BEFORE IT WOULD AUTOMATICALLY DIAL 911. Talk about a trip out of a Movie Script! I was finally able to shut it down after after an hour! My Sim Card was also loaded with photos I have not seen for at least 10 years!!! I get the feeling that THE CLOUD HAS EXISTED FOR A LOT LONGER THAN THEY HAVE BEEN TELLING US!!!! I have gone through at least 6 phones in the last 10 years!.Version: 1.22.61.1

Will Be Installing Third Party Touch ScreenI love my 2016 Prius. I hate Entunes. It is the third worst piece of software in the world, right behind Windows and all things McAfee. It causes me to need to use my phone while driving, which I refuse to do, and so, I simply listen to XM radio and hope that nobody calls, lest my Entunes screen freezes while trying to answer the call. Every time that Toyota releases a software update, I secretly hope that somehow Apple CarPlay will be included, though I know I need further hardware as well. That being said, I will be pursuing third party options since Toyota refuses to make a way for their customers to have their cake and eat it too. I am even willing to pay for a new in dash system (obviously), but even that is not an option with Toyota. 🤦‍♂️.Version: 1.27.770

Never buying Toyota again! This app is such an insult on everybody spending >20k on a new Toyota. I was excited getting my new 2017(!) Toyota. Knowing that car manufacturers are a little bit behind the times, I expected at least level of ten years ago. The whole electronic/entertainment system is just a joke. First of all FINALLY FIX THIS STUPID BUG THAT THE APP IS ALWAYS LOGGING OUT! Thousands of people are complaining and you’re just ignoring them?? Furthermore I can just second what pretty much everybody is saying: this app is unstable, unreliable and pretty useless. Why are you ignoring your customers? Why aren’t you finally implementing a setting that music does not start every time you get into the car and connects to the cellphone? A couple of other suggestions to reach at least year 2000: - stop infantilizing your customers by deactivating all functionality while car is moving!! Or don’t even provide a setting! Google maps is so much handier - make a real connection to the car ... like google be Apple car connect - Google and Waze have real time traffic updates, are faster, more versatile , I can enter anything as supposed to an address and it will find it. Why should anyone clear in mind bother with this piece of crap? - ability to “send” a location to the car from google maps - Ability to lock/unlock car via smartphone over Bluetooth (NOT internet /cloud) Uvm.Version: 1.22.61.1

Pulling it off my phoneThe well documented sign-in problem is just too much. I called Apple support and they say Toyota has not implemented the Apple function to automatically sign in to an app by using the Apple Keychain credentials from their Entune desktop web site. They said Toyota has also not implemented the Apple function that will ask you to save your password into the Keychain from the app. I guess I understand why the app loses its sign in credentials when you lose the cell phone signal. But this happens very frequently. I turned off notifications but the app still pops up when I start the car. So the only thing left is to just delete the entire app from my iPhone. I never found anything it did to be of much use anyway..Version: 1.22.61.1

Like a first year app developer produced this appTried using this app with my 2016 Corolla. I couldn’t even get passed the sign up section. It kept telling me I had the VIN wrong. Even after I let the app use the camera to scan it. Junk. Absolute junk. It’s like the hired the lowest bidder to produce this app...and it shows. Also during the sign up section, it didn’t even capitalize the first letter of my name. It didn’t give me the option to auto fill my info except for my email address. It didn’t do password verification so if I had typed it wrong I wouldn’t have known. Not being able to get passed the sign up section I can’t say anything about the rest of the app. But from what I’ve read in these other reviews, added to my horrid experience trying to sign up and subsequent failing, I’d have to agree with the low opinions previously expressed..Version: 1.28.80

Terrible no good app. Loyal customer is considering other brand because of thisThis app is horrible. You should download it only to purposefully anger yourself. It seems to never work, has functionality that no human would actually want, and Toyota needs to recognize they screwed the pooch this time. A child could have and would have made this app do much better. Why do I need to be logged in to use it? Why can’t it mirror my screen? Why is nothing about the app useful? These are solid questions which Toyota cannot answer. They don’t know at the dealership when CarPlay will be standard. Stay far away. I’m going to download it again so to see how bad it is since I haven’t used it in years..Version: 1.22.61.1

Functional after some effort, not easy to useThis app appears formatted for earlier iphones, maybe iphone 5, and has low functionality & interactions, like an app built for ios 6. Basic actions like viewing eco driving history require 4-digit pin EVERY time, despite the phone being unlocked with Touch ID. Note: Toyota makes separate apps for different models and years- but Toyota tech support is unaware, just do google searches to find out compatibility. Toyota puts painfully little effort into the apps, which there are at least three- and apps are specific to models years, and calling Toyota tech support is useless: I was at first told none of the apps will work with my 2017 prius. So I go online and create a “safety connect” account which I don’t want, but this is required for the app. The app doesn’t enable any car-related features, and only shows you login screens for iHeartRadio, Pandora, etc, UNTIL you enter your Safety Connect “contract ID,” which was not supplied with the online account. 2nd call to Toyota takes over 1 hour where I was first told there is no such “contract ID,” eventually a supervisor supplies it, noting it won’t be enabled for 24 hours. ALSO the number must be formatted with dashes for the app to accept. Only after configuring app with this contract ID does it enable three car-related functions- cabin heat, charging status, and eco record. Even then, the data transfer is slow and the graphics simplistic..Version: 1.22.61.1

Car drives well; audio system the WORSTI am on my 3rd and last Toyota. It was the right car for my family for other reasons, but the Bluetooth system NEVER worked well and NEVER improved over the life of THREE different versions of the car. Using this app makes no difference to the quality (or lack thereof) of the car’s ability to interact with one’s phone. Sometimes it connects, sometimes it doesn’t. That’s all I know. Attempts to systematically isolate the problem over a number of years proved fruitless. Tangentially related, Toyota’s service has been VERY sub-par. I would not recommend servicing a Toyota with the dealership, or at least ours, and researching other dealerships in the area suggested we were using the best one. Pointing out that we would (accurately, given our history) flip the car for a fully loaded new model if only we could receive reliable car maintenance from the dealership did not motivate their service department..Version: 1.27.770

Issues with Voice Command & TuneIn AppI only mention this recent issue since their latest update (May 2018), because it could potentially be a hazard while driving. Whatever they did with the update, the voice command suddenly stopped working. This means people could potentially try to call someone manually, taking their eyes off the road. It’s been a couple of weeks now since I reported this, and it’s something that needs to be fixed ASAP. Other issues when hitting the voice command button on their steering wheel, it sometimes cut off audio of radio. Causing user to now fiddle with the dashboard radio to get it to work again. RECOMMENDATION: Add the TuneIn Radio app. More radio stations are on TuneIn than iHeart, and it would be helpful to be able to simply do voice command to play station on TuneIn, or simply touch a station on the present..Version: 1.22.61.1

It was mediocre at bestNow with this latest update it won't connect to the Internet. I try to use Pandora and it says no internet access...be sure entune is running. Of course it is! I try to reboot my iPhone 5s and restart entune and even turn off the car and turn it on again. No luck. I finally give up and then 5 minutes down the road it suddenly starts working. Come on. I love my Prius, but my neighbor with a Ford just keeps laughing at me when I try to make entune work. Update 8/17. Now it's even worse. Sometimes connects and sometimes doesn't. I travel a lot, and would love for traffic to work. Sometimes it works when I start a trip and then suddenly for no reason all the traffic info disappears and I can't get it to work again. I've updated the app and the NAV head. No change..Version: 1.21.58

How such a big car company can fail on a simple appI have seen kids that write better and reliable apps. How is it possible that entune is not able to keep login credentials when network connection is lost, not even considering the use of fingerprint or face auth? The developers behind entune should be ashamed for this crappy application which makes the whole experience of driving my Toyota Prius V Four 2017 totally disappointing. If I knew this will happen that I will require an app to get internet connection on my radio and gps system I’d rather buy another car. I believe the willing of track users information is totally ruining the toyota car ownership. If someone who read this review is considering buying a toyota car think it twice, it is even endangering drivers because you are not able to verify connection until you are driving..Version: 1.22.61.1

Soooo behind the times! This app has been pretty terrible from the start. Even the look and feel of the app is from way old versions of iOS. Has no one informed Toyota that there have been some improvements to the user interface elements that should go into an iOS app since about seven years ago? The most frustrating part of this app is that you lose your login credentials periodically, and for no reason, you must re-login to the app which is hard to do when you're trying to start your car and go somewhere! This is a totally lame implementation of something that should be so simple for Toyota to build into their head unit to make it work much better. I do understand the need for a drivers own iPhone to provide needed Internet data for his or her Toyota vehicle; this could be accomplished in so much more of an elegant way. Basically, Toyota has abandoned this app, leaving it for dead..Version: 1.21.58

DeficientThe application suite provided is completely deficient in its capabilities and usefulness. If I could give this zero stars I would. The application will not save in the walking information so you’re constantly having to type in your email address and password which makes this completely unusable. The individual applications are not any better. You need to be able to take your contacts and link them to your navigation and many other things. I have been buying Toyota cars for the last 20 years and I am going to be purchasing another brand next year because I’ve been waiting for so long for them to make an intelligent interface to my car. Many other companies have solve this problem and it’s not rocket science..Version: 1.22.61.1

Terrible SystemI hate to say it, but I’m only giving this 1 star because I can’t give it zero. The system is clunky, not efficient and the voice activation is great if you like yelling your request multiple times and saying “oh screw it” and giving up. Furthermore, Toyota dumped Pandora from the Entune suite and that was the ONLY thing worth having. I just got an email saying they’re dropping another App. I never used any other apps, but it’s the principle of the matter that they’re reducing their offerings that makes me mad. I drove a rental car with Apple Play and it was the greatest thing ever. I could seamlessly navigate texts, calls, the radio, etc without taking my eyes off the road. Entune was NOT WORTH paying extra for Navigation or anything else..Version: 1.26.741

Since I can’t give it minus stars……I’ll just go with one. Reason? While it’s nice (I guess) that the app asks my permission to access the Tacoma each time I turn on my truck, I have yet to see any benefit from doing so. Toyota, why don’t you spend some of the $45k + you made off selling me this 2018 truck to actually develop ToyotaEntune into something that really enhances my driving experience by making your app actually work with what my iPhone offers similarly to what it does with CarPlay? Instead your latest “upgrade” deletes the ability to buy movie tickets. (How did your crack software developers even think in the first place that would be one of the first things people would want to do while driving anyway?).Version: 1.27.770

App works! Fix the log out issueI have Entune App Suite installed on my phone. While the app works great, every other day if not every day, the app is logged out. It says network error. I log back in and then it works fine. It is quite frustrating and potentially dangerous as when I need it to work in the car, and it is logged out, I have to log back in which I cannot do while driving. Based on other reviews in the app store, this seems to be a common occurrence which leads me to believe that there is a bug in the software. This has been happening for some time now regardless of apple ios software updates. Please look into this. Also, the email contact on the entune support website doesn't allow for State selection and I cannot submit questions. Thank you for your time..Version: 1.25.713

Keeps crashing. Worse than no stereo at allSo after 4 weeks of constant crashing I finally pulled the fuse. Toyota is giving me the run around. They blame Apple and its updates. They will not refund the $1500 stereo option and say I am the only one having the problem with the stereo. Went to their lobby grab some Coffee and stood there in the corner. Guess what the next four customers had the same complaint. Confronted the guy who then said there is a problem and as long as a phone is connected your screwed and Toyota is doing nothing. I have never seen a worse customer service than Heartland Toyota. I then called Toyota and got the same crap. I will never purchase another Toyota! Anyone want a 2019 Tundra Limited TRD?.Version: 1.28.80

Removing Pandora 11/13I use this service to listen to Pandora and they are removing it from the App Suite. But, in the laziest way possible. According to the email, you will still see the Pandora button but will receive an error message anytime you go to load it after 11/13. I am so incredibly disappointed at the sheer laziness of leaving the button while discontinuing the app. In addition, the entire point of getting a car with one these features is for safety. What's the point if I can't access the app and have to go into my phone to change stations? I have been a Toyota customer for life, but I called their customer service and didn't even hear I'm sorry from the agent. Worse, they are still advertising this as an available app in Entune in their site even though they know they are removing it. I will never buy a Toyota again..Version: 1.22.61.1

Fed Up!I have a 2017 Tacoma bought the end of that year and since I have owned it, I have loved everything about it......eeeeeexcept the 3600$ Entune Stereo. This is the most inept, under par, non functional piece of technology I have ever used in a vehicle. I have to continually connect and reconnect the application. I cannot change channels when the car is moving. The stereo reboots constantly, my phone disconnects and reconnects in the middle of phone calls, I now have 2 music apps both of which are garbage and on and on and on. I wouldn’t be upset if my issue was speaker related.. I could swallow that just because no car maker has ever put in a decent stereo system in a car. BUT if your going to tout a product that jacks the cost of the car nearly 4000$ and then have that product no better than a 49$ piece you by at a pawn shop you have got issues. This is my first Toyota. I want to keep it stock. I really don’t want to put another stereo head unit in this car. Just for thinking about this, Toyota has made me feel ripped off. That 4000$ could have gone to lift kit for the vehicle and rims and tires but instead I have something that flat doesn’t work. I am really disappointed. This being my first Toyota experience, this part is REALLY disappointing..Version: 1.25.713

Not acceptable.I have a 2016 Highlander. All I want to do is get in the car and reliably listen to Pandora or my music. Unbelievably this often doesn't work because the Entune app has signed me out and there is no way to keep it logged in permanently. I actually have to stop the car, find the app, and enter my login information before listening to music. If we're running late I just can't listen to music. Furthermore if I can even get the system to connect to my music, the car's screen shows my entire music library from the cloud, hundreds of albums that aren't downloaded to my phone, far too many to look through while driving. This isn't a problem with an app, it's the entire experience with the car's audio. Toyota needs to fix this..Version: 1.21.58

Never AgainShould actually be 0 Stars. The App is so bad I actually hate driving my car. I have a 2016 Camry LSE and whenever any one calls me it always says Private Caller and it doesn’t ring even though the car is connected with the phone. I could go on and on with the problems. I called support and they tried to tell me it was my fault because I don’t turn my phone off from time to time. However, after the phone call to Support the problems still exist. I’ve disconnected and reconnected my phone so many times but nothing works. My lease is up in 9 months and I can hardly wait. I will definitely not be keeping this car. I was thinking to upgrade to Lexus but the reviews on Enform are not much better. Sad!!!.Version: 1.22.61.1

How do I choose ZERO STARS?How do I choose zero stars? That’s what this app deserves. The Entune entertainment system is terrible. How could Toyota purchase and install such a system in an otherwise nice vehicle? We own a 2018 Tacoma and a 2018 VW Tiguan and the Tiguan Car Play system is lightyears ahead of the Ridiculous Entune system. What were they thinking? Did they come up with this system on April Fools Day. What were they smoking? Whatever it was, they shouldn’t have bothered. Clearly they weren’t thinking about the safety of their customers. The entire system is so poorly designed it’s nearly inoperable, at least in any way that is safe for the vehicle operator. Toyota should be embarrassed and vigorously pursuing ways to improve this system. The added price of the system is a total rip off..Version: 1.27.770

Come on, it's 2018.Toyota vehicle's are great, there is no argument there. This app? Not the quality you would expect from Toyota. I actually enjoy the touchscreen responsiveness and features of my 2017 Toyota Tacoma TRD Off-Road, but this app takes all that and turns it into frustration. It is 2018 and this app looks like it was made for an 2010 model iPhone. Come on, Toyota, I am sure you got enough money to invest in a good app development team to bring this app up to date with the latest phones and vehicles. Worse part is that they don't even seem to care that customers hate it and don't listen to feedback. Give it an interface refresh and improve compatibility with the latest phones and iOS to improve the user experience!.Version: 1.22.61.1

Most Disappointing App I’ve Ever Used, Delete ItThis app is the closest thing there is to useless. Toyota should be ashamed of the state of their infotainment system. No use in downloading this app, all that will happen is it will annoyingly try to open every time you start the car and then you’ll be in an app that basically has zero uses. Checking your stocks on your car infotainment screen? That’s covered for the 2 people in the world that would do that... Using any of the apps on your phone or music through the infotainment system? Naaaah you're screwed. Also it's just getting worse as they lose app partners, which should be everyone since no one should want to be associated with this piece of absolute garbage. I would write more about how bad it is but I can't waste any more energy on this God forsaken app. DELETE DELETE DELETE!.Version: 1.27.770

HorribleI purchased a 2016 Avalon Hybrid two months ago and since the third week I owned this vehicle the Bluetooth system is a joke! I had a 2011 Sienna previous with no Bluetooth issues! Any time I try to make a phone call through my Bluetooth system my whole navigation screen crashes and reboots twice. I refuse to take my car in for warranty work having to pay my $200 deductible for an issue with making phone calls through entune! I have decided to just not connect my phone through my car! What a waste of money for this system! Now my husband has a 2017 Highlander and has started to have the same problems as me. Thanks Toyota for the disappointing Bluetooth system!!!! And yes I did the software update with no success on fixing this issue! I also contacted Toyota with no help except to have my service department at the dealer look at my vehicle and hope it is covered under my warranty! So disappointed in Toyota!.Version: 1.26.741

Latest update killed everythingSure, Toyota is making Entune worse. With the removal of Pandora and other apps, Entune is quickly falling behind all other available options for every other vehicle out there. The only other decent aspect of this app was the Fuel Guides which actually list in order prices of fuel in the area around you. They managed to make that worse with this latest update as well. Now I get to click on each little fuel icon on the map in my area to see what the price is there. Seriously?! I am a software product owner, and I would quickly lose my job for some of the poor changes that are happening with these updates, outside of the fact that Toyota can’t seem to keep Pandora on their list of options. To make it worse. Toyota is rolling out CarPlay, finally, but only for new vehicles. So I’m stuck with the worst experience available to any driver out there. In hindsight, this aspect alone would have made me choose Ford, Dodge, or Chevy in a heartbeat. I’m fed up with this app. It’s the most terrible product I have to use... and I am forced to use it daily..Version: 1.25.712

Very slowI have a 2017 Prius Prime Advance and would like to say it works but very slow giving results for checking battery per cent. When you start charging it gives you and Error unable to process your request Please try later you hit OK then it will start charging been like that since I bought the car. You would think by now that would have been fixed. I really like the car but they are soooo slow with updating and keeping up with times the Alexa app works but what you have to go through a lot of pain staking procedures to get it to hook up and then when it does you ask for a radio station say a AM station it will only hooks up to XM cancel it out try again it goes back to XM to the same station it does that no matter what radio station you try. All I have to say is this app needs a lot of work it seems like the software Dept. it on extended leave..Version: 1.29.85

Newest update isn't helpfulI purchased a 2017 Highlander and absolutely LOVE it!! Everything about my Highlander is fantastic! This app isn't so great! It would log me off at really inopportune times. And, it never saved my login info. I'd always tell myself to double check that I'm logged in before I start driving. And then I'd forget. Ok, so that was frustrating. And now, yesterday, Nov 12,2018, I start up and Entune MUST do updates in my car. Hmmm. Ok, I've got a long 3 hour drive, go ahead. Once it finishes, 5 minutes later, my Pandora is gone. WHAT!!?? It's all I currently have set up and listen to. So, ok, not TOO BIG a problem because I can play it off of Bluetooth, right? Except, I can't easily "like" a song, skip, or change stations anymore. I have all my destinations set either in my car or on my Phone (because my car likes to make me double back someone's). So, why do I need this app?.Version: 1.25.712
