✓ FavoriteBy far one of my favorite apps. Would like to know if i can backup my info to my email. But other than that it has made me much more responsible with my finances. No more being afraid of overdrafts because I know exactly where my money is going. ✓ Very usefulI've used this app a long time and never had any problems with it. I immediately stopped using my hard copy register and have never missed it or regretted it. Very easy to use. Wish I didn't have to log in again every time I go to another app and come back but took it to be security. The backup is awkward but it works. ✓ Dramatically improved over older versionsIt’s funny how such a simple concept for an app is not only crucial to managing a checking account (if you care about avoiding bounded checks), but how there is really only one app (this one) that has mastered it. Try the free version, sure, but then buy the paid version. It is simple, exactly what a “checkbook” ledger should be, and is dramatically better than previous versions. Highly recommended. Oh, the ONLY thing I think could be improved (and this doesn’t affect my rating at all) is the ability to share this app across multiple iPhones. My spouse and I share this checking account so it would be nice to also share the updates I make to the ledger. This is the best checkbook ledger app for iPhone. No other app can so seamlessly, and with such simplicity, allow you to keep a perfect record of transactions, most importantly those that have not yet cleared. It is an indispensable tool for someone managing a household budget; you can easily copy the previous month’s transactions and plan ahead. I highly, highly recommend it..Version: 3.3.5

✓ Latest update “no longer available”I’ve used this app for a long time without issue, until now. Problem is, update 3.3 is “no longer available” which means I can’t update the app and can’t get rid of the update. Now there’s the dreaded red notification bubble on my home screen that won’t go away. Super annoying. No contact info for developer so, gotta air it in a review I guess. They fixed it and it works great! Thanks for updating the app. I’ve used it for a long time, easy to use and don’t want to start over. 👍🏽.Version: 3.3.1

Awesome app so far!Am using your checkbook app on both iphone and ipad in hopes of eliminating my budget ledger hardcopy. 1 - One question I have is how can I sync the data on the apps so they will be the same? Don’t mind if one is master app and the other is slave app. 2 - Don’t need to print reports, just need to know the balance in each of the categories daily. 3 - Also, eventually I would like to delete a previous months worth of input, how do I do that?.Version: 3.0.2

✓ Loving it!This app is so useful and is just what I needed for a long long time as most of my transactions are of a debit nature. Too many transactions to be carrying around a registry! I only have but one dislike, which is you cannot edit the names of the default categories and can't edit new categories. Both have to be deleted which also deletes items already entered! ✓ If you're okay with Ads...I bought this app thinking it may have more features than the free app, but that's not the case. The only big difference is there are no ads. If you can deal with the ads, don't waste your money. Also, the reconciliation option is a bit confusing. I think it would just be easier to have the check box visible at all times indicating if it's cleared or not. I am a big fan of the transfer option between accounts. You only have to do one entry for it to be recorded under two accounts..Version: 3.0.2

✓ Recurring PaymentsI really like this program and use it as my primary ledger for my checking accounts and budgeting. There are, however, two issues that I would like to see addressed. First, I can’t seem to find a way to delete unwanted Payees, and second, I have set up a number of recurring payments with the cleared button set to off so that I can clear them when the payment actually clears my bank, however, when I do this it also changes the setting in the recurring payments list. ✓ Pretty good on iPadI needed something simple to keep my records off line. This fits all my needs for checkbook keeping, acccounts and transfers between them. My only negative in using this with iPad Pro is while using in conjunction with the Magic Keyboard. Some information momentarily disappears while moving the cursor over it. A. ✓ Good for TravelOthers may use this more regularly: I use it for travel when I don’t want to carry a computer around, and it works fine for that. I don’t mind entering expenses into my regular accounting program when back. It works so well, though, I will probably try using it more and see if it meets more regular needs. I like its simplicity, and ease of creating/editing/deleting accounts, customizing features, and don’t want a program that tells me how to budget, or organize online investments, and the rest of it: I do that separately, and a simple clear accounting app for daily expenditures is nice to find..Version: 3.3.4

✓ Great AppI'm really happy with this App. It does almost everything that I need it to do. There are just a couple of things that I would like to see changed. These changes would make this app even more helpful. 1) I would like to be able to see a running balance, not just the balance at the end of the transactions. 2) Can this app be made to sync to the cloud? I am afraid that if I were to depend on this app to keep track of everything and my ipad were lost or the information were somehow deleted, then I would have no backup. 3) Every once in a while, an account will go out by .01 cent for no reason. ✓ Great Checkbook RegisterI love having it conveniently on my iPhone, always with me. I love how it calculates my balance for me, without error! And I love how it remembers my recurring monthly payments and recurring deposits. (I saw where another reviewer said the recurring deposits don't work automatically like the expenses, but in fact it does! There's nothing dysfunctional about this app. I do wish, however, that it would be easier to click any item cleared or uncleared without having to open and edit each one. Makes balancing a much slower process, esp when I have so many! I also love how you can easily send a copy of the whole file to yourself or to your spouse or anyone else. I send a copy to my desktop to open in excel where I can easily resort by payee or by date or by category so that I can print year end reports for taxes. Saves me oodles of time, and a safe and quick way to backup data. Thank you Checkbook App makers!!! However I do wish the exports included the check#s, PLEASE!!!.Version: 3.3.5
✓ Love it!I have been using this app for awhile now and honestly can't be happier. I was never good about keeping my check book updated but no problems now. If you like to reconcile or balance your bank statements no worries. It's quick and easy. ✓ CategoriesI love this Checkbook app. It helps to link transfers between two accounts. This way you don’t have to work on them one at a time. The only thing I will say about creating a CATEGORY is be careful. Even if you do not continue to use a CATEGORY that you’ve made, DO NOT DELETE IT! Once you use it in the checkbook and delete it even if you stop using it, it will change the balances on your account! I made that mistake and had to go back the entire year to fix. What a headache! So if you make up a CATEGORY and decide to stop using it, leave it there because you already used it and any transactions already affiliated with it will be gone too once it’s deleted. It will mess up your ledger which means you’ll have to go to the beginning to fix..Version: 3.3.5
✓ Nice appThe app works beautifully for my needs, but I only need it to keep track of one account and only use it on one device. Putting information in is incredibly easy, and the recurring payments have been added to the account on the schedule I specified. I like that each transaction can be coded by a category but can also be named with something more specific so that you can see more clearly at a glance where the money is coming from and where it's going. I can separate my bills and see what I owe and watch it as I pay it off. I love how I can transfer between accounts. ✓ EXCELLENT APP - Poor Customer ServiceI bought this application about five years ago. I upgraded to the pro version, and last year a new version came out that completely re-done the user interface. It added the ability to sync the checkbook between multiple iPhones or iPads. It said that I would not be charged again, however I was. But this application has been such a lifesaver that I did not mind paying the $4.99 again (and five bucks is not worth hassling the developer or iTunes about....unless the app sucked or was rarely used). Now, since the new update, I am a lifetime member because of my loyalty. It is well worth scrapping your paper checkbook register and using this. You will not regret it. You will be able to keep all of your accounts up to date and to the penny. My only complaint is that I have written to the email given in the description and in the application three different times. A couple of times was a couple of years ago regarding questions about problems that I had, which I later solved on my own. Then I emailed about two weeks ago and asked a question and made a request. I have yet to hear back from that one either. Maybe my emails are going to their spam folder and they are just not getting them. I like to give people the benefit of the doubt. Either way, you really don’t need Customer Service now, because the app takes care of everything..Version: 3.3.5
✓ Helpful App, Keep the Free VersionThis app has been very helpful for keeping track of my savings goals. The free version is basically just as good as the full version though. I would not suggest upgrading from the free version to the full version because it's basically pointless. The only difference I recognized was that the very occasional and not really annoying ads went away. My only disappointments are that it did not backup to the cloud, and I apparently neglected to do a backup to my computer so when I bought a new iPad I had to manually start over and enter all my transactions again! I was very disappointed to note that you can only export and not import info. I also cannot find a way to void a check, i.e. I needed to enter a zero amount check that was voided for purposes of direct deposit, and had to enter a penny amount and then enter another transaction backing that penny out. Very cumbersome to have to do that. Otherwise it's a great app..Version: 3.0.2

✓ CheckbookThis is a great Ap which allows you to have all your transactions both in and out in one convenient place. You can enter all those transactions that recur at monthly intervals and you can also see the percentages of your income or outgoings over a week a month or annually which enables you to plan ahead. No bank details are required it simply replaces your cheque book stub and so much more. All in all an excellent Ap. ✓ Great App, but a few annoyances...I use this app to replace another one I used to use for keeping my account balances. The free version was great for a while until it was updated to include pop up ads in it that I always manage to accidentally click on. It became so annoying that I just attempted to buy the app, which I'm sure is the reason they got so annoying. I clicked on the link in the app to purchase it and it said I didn't have that paid version installed on my phone, then nothing happened. I went to the App Store and purchased it then migrated data and it worked. However the App Store charged me for the same $2.99 purchase twice. I didn't fight it for $3, but that was kind of annoying. I also wish the total balance weren't so small and hard to see in the debit/credit screen. I would just like it to stand out a little more from the background of the screen so I don't have to click back to see the balance better. Despite these minor hiccups, all in all this is a good app for maintaining your accounts. I have yet to find a better one in the App Store. I would still recommend it..Version: 3.0.2

Simple, user friendly, complete personal accountant. Honestly, I have not had any of the problems described by the other users. It does what it says. I know immediately what my balance is at all times. I know the balance of all my credit cards and other accounts instantly. I can plan better, and track my spending habits at one glance. Of course, I did take the time to examine how it works, and I take advantage of only the features that I need. But the others are at my fingertips if and when I need them. It everything I wanted.
