Citymapper: All Live Transit for Positive User Reviews

Best App EverAs an app developer, I can unequivocally say: this is THE best app I have ever used. And it just keeps getting better..Version: 4.0

Best Navigation AppHonestly the best app I’ve ever used to get around a city. I was recommended it by my orientation leader when I got to college—I go to AU in Washington, DC—and it has made my life 100x better when it comes to getting around a new city. I even use it when I go home in New York City because of how amazing it is wi try showing updated information on trains and busses. Everyone should use this app I recommend it to every person I meet when I notice they’re not using it to get around. We should all take more public transportation and less single person vehicles! Also they’re design gimmick is super cute 10/10.Version: 9.6

This app is like having a super power in your pocketThis app is hands down without question the best thing for a commuter since the invention of transit cards! My commute consists of the following; personal vehicle> bus>ferry>bus>shuttle!!! Before this app I had to wrangle 2-4 apps all with varying degrees of reliability to get this mess figured out if I was late or if I was coming home from a different part of the city. Now all I need is ONE!!! I couldn’t be more happy, the interface is amazing and the data provided has been 100% accurate for me everyday. All I can say is keep up the great work and I share this app with everyone I meet since I travel frequently for work and I look forward to this app taking on more cities!.Version: 7.0

Magnificent app for walking around cityAfter two days struggling with google maps for walking around old city in Istanbul using this app was a revelation. Could not be more impressed. A quantum leap forward..Version: 11.3

Delivers a wonderful travel aidI used this app for two weeks in New York, it has been just wonderful, giving walk, bike, bus and subway options. Highly recommended. Major stress and cost reduction as we hardly used cabs and always knew where we were going and how to get there by sustainable transport..Version: 6.3

Great apGreat ap.Version: 10.56.3

Un incontournable pour se déplacer à LondresCet application est un incontournable pour se déplacer à Londres. Elle considère réellement les routes les plus courtes pour se rendre à pied d’un transport à l’autre, invluant les passages piétonniers..Version: 11.0

The Only Transit App You’ll Need in SFI’ve lived in San Francisco since before there was even NextBus (dark, dark times) and since it came to be, I must have tried a dozen apps for years before I discovered CityMapper. The key is that it calculates the ideal route for you taking into account time to walk to stops, when you need to be somewhere, or whether you want to get there fast or walk the least. It also has every transit system, including ferries and county bus lines like Sam Trans and Golden Gate Transit. Finally, the Apple watch app works very well by alerting you when the bus is coming or when your stop is next. I can’t find a single thing about it I don’t like except that the watch app sometimes needs to be manually started to connect, but that’s really it..Version: 9.4

The bestBy far the best app for getting around London..Version: 3.1

AceAce-all I got to say to this app..Version: 6.16

Must haveThis app has been absolutely brilliant and made getting around Paris and Rome on cheap public transport an absolute breeze. I still want to try the jet pack though..Version: 7.15.247

Useful and largely accurate for SF and SeattleThis has been a useful app for transporting myself around San Francisco Bay Area and Seattle area; I haven’t tried it at other major metropolises. I find the use of minutes left before the next train to not be useful when it comes to connecting transportations. For example, minutes left in the current train/bus is useful, but when I swipe left to see next transfer, it’ll tell me I have one minute to the connecting train when I still have 20 minutes to ride, which doesn’t help me because I would rather know what time I can expect to arrive and what time is the train i should expect to get on..Version: 8.4

London real time travel AppJust visiting London. This has been very useful. Especially for connecting on buses to our hotels. Saved us heaps of time and mad it easy..Version: 5.4

A must have!!This app has gotten me around both London and Melbourne and has never failed me. Takes the stress out of getting to an unfamiliar place, an absolute must have. Super accurate and super necessary..Version: 6.25

Meilleur carte interactiveToujours avoir ceci pour voyager indispensable.Version: 11.0

One of the top must have travel apps! The app worked a treat during my time in Hong Kong. The GPS tracking information was highly accurate. Takes the stress out of travelling in a unfamiliar place..Version: 6.24

Indispensable! This is by far the best transit app I’ve ever used. Syncs with my Apple Watch so I get a buzz when I’m one stop away from where I need to get off, so no more missed stops! I work in an area where there are multiple modes of public transport so at any given time I have access to bus predictions, locations and stats of bike share stations, locations of electric scooters and station-less electric bikes. I am able to send a link to friends so that they can track my location during a trip. I can also track the shuttles that are in my hospital’s system. I don’t usually write reviews but I just have to share how awesome this app is!! There is a new feature for Siri shortcuts too..Version: 7.25.1

Super helpful appJust returned from a three city trip to Europe. This app was top notch. Better than google maps especially the walking part. Google maps always seemed to have a delay and didn’t recognize what direction I was walking. Not a problem with Citymapper. It showed my progress along the route and even alerted me when my train stop was coming up. The only difficulty was in Athens as the train stops and street signs IRL are in both the Greek alphabet and English. Some locations on the app (like when I was taking the train from the airport) I could only see the Greek letters..Version: 10.57.12

A “MUST” Have AppI’ve used a lot of travel apps, but this one hands down the best I’ve ever used. It will walk you directly to the train station, metro, bus, etc you need to reach your destination. What I really like about it is it will tell you if a route is disrupted by the many strikes in Paris and provide you with a “strike safe” route. It will also recommend which part of the train or metro to sit in. I’m a heavy traveler and am totally impressed with it. Great job and a big thanks to those who developed it. They know the travel business and the needs of tourists and all travelers. If you’re weary of what route to take and what transport to use then simply let this app do the work for you..Version: 10.58.5

Still pretty good but one annoying change...It was much better when trains/buses/etc that were more than 20+ minutes in the future showed the exact time they were due instead of how many minutes away they were. This morning, it wasn’t helpful to know that the train I needed was 86 minutes away. Knowing it was due at 8:17am would have been much more helpful, as it would have avoided me having to go to another app to figure out the train time. Please at least give us the option to choose “show minutes until the train” or “show exact train times” and give us the option to set the cutoff point between the two - eg I’d like the app to show me “minutes until the next train” up until 20 minutes away, and then all trains more than 20 minutes away show the actual time of the train..Version: 7.17

What an amazing intuitive appDesign of information to be displayed is truely well thought through. Everything on the screen is useful and thought through well. This is made by people who take public transport frequently, for people that take public transport frequently..Version: 7.24

Best transport app ever!Would be so stuck in London without this. Use it at least twice a day..Version: 3.9

10/10Really happy to have found this app, it’s extremely useful and easy to use AND YOU DONT HAVE TO PAY FOR A SUBSCRIPTION TO USE IT!!!!! Finally lol, every other app I tried was horrible and you had to pay to use it which is so stupid in my opinion bc it’s literally supposed to be used to help you get around, so I really really like that you don’t have to pay for a subscription to use it. Overall it’s just a very beneficial app to have and I recommend everyone to download it! (Especially if you are like me and want to use it for the bus times/stops etc, it’s awesome) and I never ever leave reviews on anything lol so this is the first review I’ve ever made so ya! Thanks for making this app :).Version: 10.53.1

Better features than maps, Google mapsIf you use public transit in a city this app is for you. Wish calendar feature worked straight from the button instead of retyping the address. Ruins the point. Wish the membership was better advertised. What am I paying for? (in detail, itemized list). Otherwise pretty cool..Version: 10.56.3

Great if you have terrible sense of directionThis app was a life saver during a recent vacation to NYC. It allowed us to get walking or transit routes anywhere in the city. When taking the subway I watched the map on my phone for current location and stops (announcements were not very loud). Didn’t get lost once! I did have to use my iPhone app if I didn’t know an exact address. Like if I just wanted a coffee to find a coffee shop in Apple Maps and then plug in the address in Citymapper. I would pay for an app that combines the current platform with a search function..Version: 10.39.1

Great for navigating public transportSince moving to a metropolitan area with solid public transportation options, I found myself frustrated with Google Maps’ limited functionality when navigating the city. So I downloaded several different apps that purportedly excelled in that particular area. Citymapper is the only one that I continue to use on a regular basis. A couple key features (but certainly not all of them: It provides important alerts about the bus/train lines I use frequently, lets me know how long until the next departure, and can show every station/stop in the vicinity (with excellent filters). It even tells me which metro exit to use in order to get me closer to my destination. Plus, there’s almost no learning curve. So if you’re visiting an unfamiliar city and don’t plan on driving, I’d highly recommend checking it out. I still use Google Maps for driving directions, but Citymapper wins for everything else..Version: 6.26.1

You need to download this public transport appI've been using the PTV app in Melbourne which is the official government one. This Citymapper app blows it out of the water. This app has so many excellent features like: current time arrivals of trams trains buses. I usually have to open up 3 other apps to get that info and it's all here. I love the periscope function which is the real street image of the stop you want to get to. It even has calorie counting and environment impact by choosing public transport. Love love love. Highly recommend and you won't be disappointed with this app. 10 out of 10 from me..Version: 6.26.2

Mostly okWe used the app in Chicago, trying to use public transportation rather than cabs & ride-share. We found it hard to use on the go, it seem to have a little trouble determining for we were to give accurate directions. It would also be extremely helpful to be able to plan multiple stops. When we were out for the day, it would have been better to know how long transportation would take us, based on what kind we were using. Perhaps a clearer division of train, bus, car, walking, they often seem jumbled. Or sort based on timeframe. I could see all the choices that comparing them got confusing. Good basic app, need some refinement in a large dense city..Version: 11.6

GeniusBrilliant app, has everything you could possibly need and includes a more information than you'd get anywhere else!!.Version: 2.2

AmazingBest transport app I have used so far! Traveling on the Paris public transport with ease and haven’t gotten lost once!.Version: 7.10

Pay for voice assistant??? Dangerous!I have been using Citymapper while getting around by bicycle since I moved to Barcelona 18 months ago. It has been FANTASTIC. The voice assistant feature allows me to focus on cycling and collision avoidance rather than constantly looking down at my phone. It also allowed me to keep my phone and self out of harms way by not having to pull it from my pocket and one handing my bike. NO other navigation apps have REMOVED basic user safety features. PLEASE find another way to generate revenue other than making your app dangerous to use. Reinstate free voice assistant!!!.Version: 10.56.3

AmazingI use Citymapper almost every day of the week in Sydney and across the globe! Love the handy ‘drop bear friendly’ section for when it’s late or raining and I don’t want multiple changes or to walk long distances. Shows re routes I would have never thought of and makes public transport easy to navigate!.Version: 8.12

Fantastic travel app!I had to write a review as I have never experienced such a quick response to an app update! This great travel app is so useful, and hasn’t let me down. Updated times and the transport options available are class! I found an issue with the app widget design, and within a week it was re-designed with an app update they supplied. Remarkable turn around and shows how well they respond to the users feedback! Highly recommend downloading this travel app over anything else out there! 5* for me.Version: 11.6

Best transit appShows routes and prices. Amazing.Version: 10.58.1

A vital resourceFor any traveller wanting to get from point A to B. Have used it in two cities for public transport (London and Seattle). Has been a life-saver. Just works. And works well. Sensible options. Live updates (including enroute). Fantastic..Version: 7.23

BrilliantUsed in London: UK; Sydney & Melbourne: Australia; Vancouver & Winnipeg: Canada; Rome: Italy - absolutely 100% easy to use & accurate.Version: 11.6.1

Get me homeI love being able to press the Get me Home button. It means I can wander without worry and know that I can find a direct way back..Version: 10.54.2

I know it sounds dramatic but this app is lifechangingI moved to a big city in another country a year ago and the official public transportation app for that city was horrible. Citymapper saves me so much time and effort, giving me multiple options for routes (like if I want to walk less or if I’m rushed for time and don’t want to transfer, etc.) and always updating me on times and delays. It’s an all-in-one app and even though I’m familiar with the city now, I use it daily for train and bus times because it’s so reliable. 10/10 I would legit be a brand rep if I could, that’s how much I love this app..Version: 7.11

Not the app it used to beI used to love Citymapper. It was my go to app to find out when the next bus was coming or to help me get to appointments in random parts of London. It even worked with Apple Watch ... sometimes. Then they decided to take over the world and introduce lots of useless stuff. Just like TfL should stick to running buses and tubes, so should Citymapper have stuck to what they are good at, mapping and next departures. It’s telling the last award they brag about in the app description was won in 2017. So the latest update has come out. I’m at my usual stop, fire it up on my Watch and go to Saved Stops. Apparently I don’t have anymore, even though I do on the phone. Well that’s useful. And then godawful new widgets. Who the hell wants a 2x2 button to get me home? Do you actually ask people what they want. Why not a widget for a stop you want with the next departures? That might be vaguely useful. So, sorry Citymapper. I think I’m off to see what else is out there..Version: 10.18.2

CitymapperHonestly a great app. Used for public transport / travel all through Europe..Version: 11.4

Feel confident with this app!As a female solo traveler, this app definitely saved my life while traveling in NYC! If you are ever traveling in New York City, I highly suggest the Citymapper app. I’m from an area in the South where public transportation is simply an idea not a reality. I was very nervous about navigating NYC alone using public transit. This app was extremely helpful, and I managed to travel all over Manhattan, Brooklyn, Roosevelt Island, and parts of New Jersey without getting lost (not even once)! I mainly used the app to navigate the subway system. This app helped me feel safe and confident while traveling alone!! I cannot speak highly enough of this app!! Thank you so much, Citymapper!!!!.Version: 7.7

Adore the app but it could be even better!I've been using Citymapper for years and I absolutely adore it. But in recent months I have become temporarily disabled, and it's given me a new perspective on getting around and using the app. So I have a few suggestions for improvements: As is, the Walk Less option isn't actually about walking less -- it's about staying dry (ie, walking less *outdoors*), which is a good option to have but is NOT the same thing as genuinely walking less. I'd suggest that the current Walk Less option be renamed Stay Dry, and that a true Walk Less option be introduced that actually minimizes walking as much as possible. That could mean, say, offering an option to take three buses rather than two plus some walking. And it definitely should mean suggesting bus stops that are closest to where you're starting -- even if that means that getting to that bus stop takes you slightly in the wrong direction -- and closest to where you're heading, even if that bus stop is slightly beyond your destination. (Step Free is also an excellent and much-needed option, but for someone like me who is not using a wheelchair but is walking, slowly and painfully on a crutch, being directed the long way around, say, a train station to an elevator is not helpful.) I hope you'll consider these improvements to the app. Thank you!.Version: 11.0

Beats Google Maps!My family and some friends were on vacation in NYC and wanted to get around on the subway. I had downloaded this app, and a family friend downloaded google maps. While google is helpful finding businesses and restaurants, when using the subway and getting accurate directions this is the app to use! When we were on the subway my friend often lost signal and the app would stall, but with this app not a problem! It shows you were along you are on the train, the next stop, and where you’re supposed to get off. It’ll tell you the name of the stop and once you get off will show you which direction you go. This is also incredibly helpful as many stations have different street entrances. It was smooth traveling and suggest it for all my friends when they’re on vacation..Version: 11.6.1

5 starsWow, I just returned from London and used this app extensively while there after learning about this app after doing some research before my trip. London is huge and it’s transit system confusing, but using your app helped me navigate my way around the city without a problem. I paid for the extras which was well worth it. I loved the simple and turbo options when making a decision on my travel choices. The app even gives you an accurate calculation of the trip cost too. Using the app with an earpiece was especially helpful with updates on the underground and bus schedules and gave real time locations even when walking. I can’t recommend it enough, it far exceeded my expectations..Version: 10.52.1

Fabulous to get around LondonMy Son got me on to this app. It’s very easy to use. Highly recommended.Version: 10.58.7

Fantastic appOne of my most used apps. Great in my home city and also when travelling to other major cities. One suggestion would be to have a feature that showed you the optimum time to travel to a destination within say a one hour window. There may be a train that is less frequent but that is more direct thank making multiple changes. So the priority would be on speed of journey and simplicity of trip. Sometimes I would be happy to plan my journey around something like this rather than setting off immediately and seeing what the current route is..Version: 10.50

London.... really good!Used this for the last five weeks in London. Great app. Always correct even after my wife said no one more station. I said the app says get off here - so we stayed on the train and the app was right! Needless to say I was proved right and we travelled back to the original stop. Recommend this app if your city is available. 👍.Version: 8.14

No stress even if you’re a first timer at public transitI’m an American who has never lived anywhere that has good public transit, so I’m kind of unfamiliar with how it works/etiquette. This app includes everything you need to know to navigate the public transit system in whatever city you’re visiting, including the best train station entrances and exits, total trip time including walking, and lots of alternative routes if they’re available. I didn’t miss a single train or get on the wrong one during my week long trip to Paris, where I rode the metro at least 15 times. I will never travel without Citymapper again- insane that it’s free..Version: 11.0

The best transit appI have about six transit apps - TripGo, Tripable etc. Citymapper is my favourite - I love the live routing when you are on public transport and the interface is fun and has more options than you can poke a stick at. Only downside is it doesn't work in my new city yet!.Version: 10.56.3

Fantastic but....One of the best travel apps around! Great information and very accurate on the go travel information including underground transit if data or wifi is available. Big drawback is it is limited on the number on cities..Version: 6.22

Excellent appGreat functionality and easy to use..Version: 3.0

Incredibly helpful appAlso has been App Store notes!.Version: 5.11

Accurate must-have app for travelersSuper accurate and dependable. Just a brilliant app all round and I’d recommend it to anyone who needs details like… when the next bus is arriving, or when you’ll arrive somewhere..Version: 10.56.2

Best travel app. But...The app is the best travel app you can get on the app store. It is fast and instant in terms of checking bus times, in addition to its clean user interface. However, the app for the Apple Watch is not functioning properly. I don't know if it is something I need to do but my saved stops are not showing up. I have tried everything but the problem does not seem to be fixed. For this reason I have unfortunately reverted to another app that functions properly on the Apple Watch. If anyone from the Citymapper development team reads this, I would appreciate the issue be fixed because this is a great app I do not want to replace!.Version: 8.16

Easy to use and very detailedThe only app I would use to get around, it's so accurate and on time and live updates. Highly recommended and I highly trust it to get me anywhere on time..Version: 10.58.6

Just amazing when travellingIt’s such a great app to rely on when travelling, especially for subways and trains. Better than google maps or Apple Maps. It does use more battery than I would like but I’m usually travelling with a battery pack anyways..Version: 11.2

Essential for LondonIm a university student studying in London. Without this app public transport would be infinitely more effort. It breaks down each step of your journey giving you times for trains, information on delays and cancelations and tracks as you walk for directions between stations. I admit that at first glance it can look complicated but take a minute while ur waiting for a train or bus to try different features and after a few journeys u will get to grips with it. After reading other reviews I would stay away from the in-app ticket thing as people are saying it is more expensive and less flexible than oysters but I dont use that feature anyway. I also appreciate the small detail when it gives the calories it will say what percent of a meal it is (eg. 0.6 english breakfasts or 0.8 burgers) To conclude, download this app. P.s. I wrote this essay of a review while I was supposed to be writing an actual essay.Version: 9.6

Good BUTI must say I’m very unhappy with the “ bus only routes” changing. If you already gave us this feature for free, stepping back is not professional. Only shows the needing for money. I always preferred this app over the tons of others but at the moment I’m going back again to maps and others. Then if you want to do this feature at payment, at least give something useful on the main page. If I ask the app for a route, on the main page I only find impossible ways with 2 trains, a rented horse, ships and 2 miles with brooms. I clearly will need a “bus only” route, which I KNOW EXIsts and it’s the best way. But won’t show if I don’t pay. This is disappointing me and I’m pretty sure tons of other users too..Version: 10.56.2

A great helpBrilliant app, straightforward, accurate, a really useful tool to have..Version: 5.8

Handy app but difficult to cancel the subscriptionThe app is helpful suggesting different ways to travel based on various factors. One thing annoying is it’s difficult to cancel the subscription once you joined. Fortunately I was charged extra for a monthly fee. Make sure you don’t pick annual subscription or so. Especially if you are getting a free trial. You can be billed over a hundred dollars if you cannot cancel it easily!.Version: 11.2

Nice appSuper convenient app for traveling, it gives u different travelling options to choose, also give u a notice when its about the stop. Really helps a lot when travelling in city..Version: 10.58.4

Almost perfectGreat directions but doesn’t always get the underground timetable right which should be easy enough.Version: 10.57.8

I Don’t Review AppsI don’t review apps. Ever. Unless I have to. Until now. CitiMapper is the single greatest app for getting around a city you do not know. I used it in New York recently and was just stunned. You have to use it to believe it. Tell it where you want to go and it gives you several options for transportation then tells you step by step what to do. With a map to guide you as you go. “Head to the 49th street subway station. Buy a ticket. Go to the platform that says uptown. Etc.” Then it tells you how long until the next train is coming. Updates you for each stop on the train. It really is amazing. Awesome! I have told ten friends about this app already. A must have!.Version: 7.5.1

Impressive - all here and easy to useI am so impressed with this app! I live in Gosford NSW and it picks up all bus routes, maps and much more - everything all in one place. A very well presented and easy to use app..Version: 7.5.1

Good, but has a big flawI usually love this app. It stays up to date and gives me pretty detailed and accurate information. But I do have a major issue with it. I’ll check the app when I’m leaving for the subway fairly often to plan on arriving at the time they tell me is accurate for the subway. Fairly often, the time will be incorrect, and the train will arrive much earlier than listed, so I miss my train, which is incredibly frustrating. I understand that things change, but when I check the app 10 minutes before I leave seeing a certain time, and walk up seeing that the app was incorrect, it gets old..Version: 7.12

Like having a local in your pocketFantastic experience with this so far. Everything has been very reliable and up to date so I didn’t have to wonder where my bus or train or subway was. Directions are easy to follow and accurate, and it seamlessly helps you between different forms of transit. I love that it shows you estimated time of travel for each method it suggests. I do wish it was more offline compatible for if I didn’t have reliable cell service. That’s the only thing I would change though. So happy to have found this app! Made navigating New York as easy as it can be..Version: 7.7

Time saver in LondonAwesome app that makes finding your way around London easier. Recommend to anyone fresh to London or who has a hard time getting there head around transport links in big cities...Version: 5.0.1

AmazingBrilliant app! Have been using it for a few years now and it never fails me. Extremely helpful, and I don’t know what I’d do without it. I don’t even bother checking my routes online before leaving anymore as I just use this app once I’ve left the house. Has a ‘get me home’ setting which is so wonderful as, once you’ve set a location as your ‘home’, will tell you the quickest route home from wherever you may be! (Great for me as I get lost so often). Notifies you when your bus is due, and when you should get off the next stop, so you don’t doze off or get distracted on an unknown route. Always tells you the quickest possible routes to get where you need to go. Notices when you’ve left your usual areas and asks you if you wish to change your map to the area you are in. Always 100% accurate and has never failed me, even when I’ve been stressed and confused and not known where I am. Tells you every single possible route you can take, and you can plan routes to and from anywhere in the country. Totally free! There’s plenty more I could say, but basically, it is a brilliant app! And I wish I could give it more kudos, for how much it’s helped me..Version: 10.54.2

What I want to see nextCommute customisation similar to Google Maps. In London, the suggested methods to get around aren't always the most cost effective as the app doesn't look for zone 1 work around with Out of Station Interchanges(for example getting from Seven Sisters to Brent Cross using the Victoria Line and changing to the Highbury & Islington Overground two stops to Camden Road and a 5 minute walk to Camden Town. I'd like for the app to be able to let you tell the app every single step of how you want to get around the city similar to how Google Maps Commute does..Version: 10.0

LET US CUSTOMISE!!When I alter the ‘Arrive’ time. In the suggested area: I hate that the ‘Leave’ time is on the right hand side. In the Western world, we read, left to right, so it makes sense to have the most important things on the left, and the lesser important things on the right. When i’m in a rush, the most important things I need to see immediately are: Travel time Mode of transport Leave time. The time the train arrives is the last thing on my mind when in a rush because the ‘Leave’ time, takes priority (why wouldn’t it?). I’ve been late a few times when instead of checking the ‘Leave’ time, i’ve checked the Train arrival time (Left hand side), thinking it was the ‘Leave at’ time that i’m sure was originally on the left hand side on this app a few months/years ago. It’s infuriating! Overall great app, but if you’re getting mixed responses from users about which side the: a) Mode of transport b) Leave time c) Travel time d) Mode of transport departure time should be..then why not create a feature that allows us users to customise how we’d best like to view the layout? Again - I have had silly lates recently when I didn’t have to, and that’s because the layout has slightly changed. That slight change, has made a BIG difference 🙏.Version: 10.57.12

I’ve used it everywhereI’ve been using Citymapper for three years now and I’ve recommended it to all of my friends. When I moved from a rural area to the city after college, I had to figure out city transit for the first time in my life, and Citymapper made it so easy. I’ve used this in Chicago on a daily basis, but I’ve also used this in Paris, Amsterdam, London and Toronto and never got lost! I’m now at the point where I occasionally know better or easier ways to get to certain places in the city on transit than what the app tells me, but it’s still great for planning out trips. Highly recommend it!.Version: 10.31.1

Beautiful design, but lacks one main feature.First off, I have to say this is the most aesthetically pleasing transport app on the market. Everything works well, with many many features to explore, and I would love to use it as a daily driver, but it’s missing the most convenient feature. Similar to the official PTV app, there needs to be a page where I can see saved stops going in one direction only. Currently, the app’s saved stop feature shows every single train line in that specific station. I don’t need to know that, I just want to know the next train that will take me home/to work. That’s the point of a favourites page right? And if possible, incorporate a “next departure” feature based on your nearest saved stop as a complication on the Apple Watch. Similar to app, NextThere. I can’t wait for this to be implemented, as this will then become the all in one PT app I’ve been searching for. But until then, I’ll will wait patiently..Version: 10.1

Fantastic app!Best app ever for navigating a new city. Love it!.Version: 10.58.7

So helpful!Amazing app, very helpful to navigate in unfamiliar cities! Provides walking as well as transit instructions. Way better than Google Maps if you’re on foot..Version: 10.48

Far better than GoogleWith Google I often fine that routes provided aren’t optimal. Citymapper on the other hand shows all the possible ways of getting somewhere in a way that is super easy to understand..Version: 10.57.12

This is a next level app - with one exceptionI’ve been waiting for a travel app like this for a long time. It could be better if it was smarter. For instance, to get it my work near Barangaroo, sure I could walk from Townhall Station - or better yet, I can switch train lines and catch a connecting train to Wynyard. Food for thought..Version: 8.19

My go-to transit appWith constant updates, added features, and improvements, this is my go-to app. I use it hand in hand with Google Maps. Each have features I like that the other doesn’t. Transportation is a breeze with this app. I’ve used it in both NYC where I live and in London when I went to visit (the offline feature is wonderful as I didn’t have cell service. I would use the WiFi and plan out my trips and save them in the hotel and was able to access my transit directions on the go) I feel as though there could be some work with the LIRR directions. My commute has a simpler route than suggested and when the app shows it, it’s inconsistently there. Love this app though!.Version: 7.16

Gréât appReally helpful. Accurate..Version: 11.6.3

Hands down best app to get around!Been using this app for years and developers have been on top of updating and making sure the experience continues to be great..Version: 11.4.3

Using Citymapper in BerlinI've been using this app for a couple of days in Berlin and it is simple to use and incredibly comprehensive. For someone with no knowledge of Berlin and almost no German language it is a lifesaver. I very quickly found my way from the middle of the city to an apartment in the east of the city without getting lost or confused. I love the way it shows where you are on the Ubahn and how many stops to go and how you can go to any station on the Sbahn or Ubahn and it tells you how many minutes til your train arrives. I honestly don't know how I would have managed without it. If you are going to one of the cities covered by this app you'd be crazy not to have it on your phone..Version: 6.20.1

Amazing with Apple WatchApp is perfect especially when paired with the Apple Watch. My watch tells me exactly when to get off without even having to check it or my phone. It just needs dark mode now!.Version: 8.15

One of the best apps on my phoneWhether it’s the prompts telling me it’s my stop next on an unfamiliar S-Bahn Line, reliable ‘local’ walking routes that shave 5 minutes off travel times with shortcuts, telling me the best Tube carriage to get on in London, public transport timetables or Uber integration, CityMapper has made travel so much easier. I use it all the time in London, used it for a 1st time visit to Copenhagen (when I had no other map), 2nd visit to Berlin (where the public transit was invaluable) and Paris when I needed to find some rather more obscure locations. Unlike other mapping apps, it doesn’t seem to drain the battery as it tracks progress. Maps are clear and directions also usually. You can save directions for use offline. Public transport integration is excellent. For example, in Berlin other apps listed incorrect info (telling me there was no direct airport route to where I was staying, when the S9 in fact does the job). My only two quibbles; it doesn’t cover enough cities and on on occasion it directed me across a park that’s currently a building site. Minor points against a really outstanding app. Oh. And it’s entirely free. Chuck the paper maps in the recycling and download this instead. It’s all you need..Version: 6.26.2

Can’t imagine life without itI rarely write reviews for anything but I love this app so much, I have to! I live in New York and City Mapper is genuinely a life saver. I’m so comfortable getting around now. I do pet sitting so I have to travel to a number of different apartments in the city and I’ve been able to find my way each and every time using this. I can even calculate when to leave in order to get there on time! It’s also extremely helpful having the times for the Subway trains available with the directions. In conclusion, you won’t regret the download..Version: 10.40.1

Turn by turn walking directions please?I use CityMapper on and off and recently acquired an Apple Watch so thought it'd be a good time to try out the CityMapper integration there. I could select my destination on the phone, it'd sync to the app and it was very nice, UI layout and everything. Until it came to the walking part. I look at my watch and it just said "Walk". OK, but my destination is at least 25 minutes away, why no turn by turn directions. And then I remembered this last time I tried using CityMapper. It seems such a shame since it puts so much emphasis on walking, but it doesn't even tell you how to get there. It's nearly perfect for my uses, I like to walk as much as I can, but the lack of turn by turn makes me go back to the competition. And no one wants that..Version: 6.26.1

Bring back citymapper rideApp was amazing the last time I used it. Now that Citymapper ride is no more, which honestly was my favourite part about the app, it just set it apart from all the other apps, I have a hole in my heart yearning for the citymapper ride. Other than missing the funny little gag it honestly is a great app for those who don’t drive a car themselves..Version: 8.16

Great appReally makes stuff easier especially for a new person in canada ..Version: 10.54.2

Best Navigation App for NYCI live in NYC, and this app has been by far the best in helping me get where I need to go. When I first moved here, understanding the city’s transportation was difficult. But Citymapper makes it so easy! Not only have I learned the transportation system while using it, I also am able to keep up in real-time with trains and buses. The software is outstanding, and it’s super easy to use. There are so many transportation apps out there, so you have to find what works for you. My suggest, try them all! See what fits with your schedule and life, and I’m sure you’ll understand why Citymapper is the way to go. :).Version: 7.5

Best app EVER!This is hands down the most useful app for navigating big cities ever! Far more useful than something simple like google maps. I used this in Paris and in figuring out how to get from one place to another, it tells you how many minutes it will take if you walk, ride a bike, ride a scooter, ride in a car, take the bus or metro. If you take metro for example it will tell you how to walk to the appropriate station, what line to get on, going in which direction, how many stops to ride, what stop to get off or change, how to navigate changes to different lines, and what stop to get off at, and even which street exit to take. Then, the walking route to your final destination. Indispensable!!!!!.Version: 10.44

Get me homeI just love using this App when travelling in a foreign country or city. The get me home (or work) feature just works! And the choices between various forms of transport also works brilliantly. Also, the direction pointing shadow helps no end. Thank you for a great App, but I think we should have to pay for it (at least $2 to $5)..Version: 7.19

WonderfulI’m loving it it’s amazingly helpful.Version: 11.6.3

Great appGood navigation, accurate times, user feiendly.Version: 10.58.4

Great appHighly recommended to help you get around easy to follow directions and alternative route also shown.Version: 10.55.4

Perfect2015: Never written a review before, but long story short this app allows you to get anywhere in London (and other cities) with absolutely no hassle. Shows where to get on and off buses, alerts you a stop beforehand, everything is perfect. If only it covered the whole of the UK. 5 stars. An app you need. 2017: UPDATE: 4 years on, still amazing. I wanna run to u Citymapper. @. UPDATE: 2020: Guys this app would be perfect but please allow a search bar for finding locations that you’re not currently present at. I would like to be able to search for train times at Clapham junction while I am in Euston without having to find it on a map. Please. Cheers..Version: 10.25

AmazingGreat app, easy to use and very practical.Version: 7.12

All around greatI downloaded this app almost 5 years ago now, back when I first started uni and moved to London. I only got it because I’d heard it was a bit better than Google maps and wasn’t expecting much. Now I can say that this app is life changing, at least as much as a maps app can be. Outside of times I’m in a different country entirely, I can’t think of many, if any, instances at all where more than a week has gone by without me using this, even for something as simple as double checking the time it’ll take to get somewhere. The routes and times are always super accurate, even down to walking speed, and now it’s expanded to more than just London. Couldn’t recommend more - blows all the competition out of the water..Version: 10.50

MUST GET!!This app is incredible! It is a must have for travelers and newbies to unknown countries!.Version: 4.13

Couldn’t recommend more! This app had made my trip so much easier to get around. Download it asap!.Version: 10.58.7

The best app for travellersI love this app and use it extensively when travelling. It gives you every option to go from A to B walking, driving, cycling or by public transport, down to the best carriage on a train to take the exit or make a transfer. This app is all I need - I don't need to download tube maps in London or MRT maps in Singapore. One click and I've despised cities and have all the info I need on one app. I highly recommend this app.Version: 7.21

The voice instruction is back!!VERY, very happy that the voice instructions are back in the free version It was my best friend before and I got really sad when it was only for paid ones but now is back. Thank you City Mapper ❤️.Version: 11.0

A million times better than google mapsSo far I’ve found this app incredibly helpful and accurate in providing the best options for getting somewhere. It includes suggestions of where to be on the train, reminds you when to get off the train, has a helpful map to show you where to walk to/from the train, and even trip costs! I’m curious where they got their train arrival times from, because even the MTA sometimes displays different arrival times on their own different systems. But so far I have not encountered anything particularly incorrect in the info the app provides. The app even includes service changes on lines/buses. So glad someone told me about this app..Version: 8.2

Can’t live without you ❤️I can’t live if living is without you......Version: 8.17

Good stuffThis app needs to set an example of the transit app, because I always use transit app to get around. It also tells where the next bus is located and the eta quote arrival. I know you have to pay for extra features, but my transit app has the announcements for departures and arrivals free instead on this app where I have to pay for it monthly or yearly. I’m not going to do that. I’ll check back again if this app approves, but in the meantime I’ll stick with my transit app for the features. Thank you..Version: 10.57.5

From down underIt took a little while to find all the features for example - changing the departure and arrival time / date - the save a trip feature so you can plan the trip ( eg Marble Arch to Bushy parkrun) the day before but the app is excellent. Thanks..Version: 11.6.1

Extremely disappointingThis used to be my go-to transport app. I’ve now switched to another service. With many free services like google maps, Moovit, apple maps. It’s quite shocking that during the cost of living crisis citymapper now does not function unless you pay £3 monthly or £20 a year. The *only* free function, “classic” only shows the option of cabs where it shows the average cost or how to go home by car. If we had a car would we be using the app…? So why show us that? What used to be on citymapper classic now has a new name titled ‘mixed’ and is only accessible if you pay a monthly fee. I don’t think anyone should have to pay £36 a year or £20 for navigation but citymapper thinks otherwise. Especially when it’s main demographic are young students trying to get around. They have turned into a money focused company and I find that to be really disappointing. You will only lose all your young customers..Version: 10.56.3

Excelente appEs la primera vez que allá uso, me guío perfectamente a mi destino de forma clara y precisa. Totalmente recomendable..Version: 10.58.7

WowThe best app for public transit. We are in France and so far we used it in Paris and in Bordeaux with ease. Highly recommend it..Version: 11.0

If you are traveling in a large city without a car, you need thisI travelled with my wife and 3 year old son to Paris for the first time, and read about Citymapper on a travel website before we got there. Citymapper was easy to use (even has some built in intelligence tools to make finding addresses fast) and was accurate with its train/metro lines and times. I would use this app if it is available in any major city. My only request would be for the app to highlight areas (streets or districts) that out-of-towners should not walk through for safety reasons..Version: 7.11

Most useful app in your phone (London)Amazingly intuitive app, which gives you exactly all the info you need to know to get from A to B. It gives you the ETA, travel time, walking distances, and cost for all the options. This helps you optimise for different things at different times: in a rush (minimise ETA), feeling tired (minimise walking distances or changes), feeling skint (minimise cost), or feeling like an interesting journey (choose the bus). I started using CityMapper in London in 2014, where it was easily best app on my phone. It helped me start using buses, which were previously a no-go because of how tricky it is to combine route/timetable info. I use it less in Sydney as the live bus times are not as accurate as TripView. I mainly use it for non-standard journeys, and in combination with TripView..Version: 8.8

Best transport app availableI’ve tried many transport apps that are always missing something...Citymapper brings everything you want together in a user friendly format. Perfect for exploring new places or just navigating your home town and the public transport options. More up to date than the ‘official’ transport apps!.Version: 10.34

Easy to understandMuch better then, maps or google maps, easier to understand and follow..Version: 10.50

ExcellentHave used various versions since visiting London over last 9 years and it's better and better..Version: 6.19

A must for EuropeI used city mapper extensively for a month in Rome, then Milan, Berlin and London. In Rome it was an absolute life saver! I had a 1 month public transport pass and was able to traverse the city like a local. Never let me down and got me into the places that were much further out of track like Hadrian’s villa. Get this app, get a cheap data phone plan and unlock the world!.Version: 7.21

Couldn't be any better!I love this app! I use it multiple times a day and it has changed the way I travel around London for the very better. It has so many clever functionalities that make using it an absolute dream. It is reliable, user-friendly, intuitive, clever, informative - I could go on! It kicks all other competing apps out of the park and is totally in a league of its own. I think I'd go as far as saying this is my favourite app of all time and I can't imagine life without it. Thank you for adding step free section, this just makes the app EVEN better when I thought that wasn’t possible!.Version: 8.1.1

The Perfect Navigation AppLOVE citymapper. It's easy to use, has all the information you need, multiple options for every kind of trip, has offline maps for when you're underground, even ferry options! I recommend the app to all my friends, people who've lived here in NYC for years and new arrivals. The train arrival times are accurate 90% of the time (and who could ask for more when you're dealing with the MTA) and the app also gives me options to get places that I hadn't considered that will be faster than my original plan. Highly recommend..Version: 7.5.1

Great appI’m new to Singapore and I follow this map to go to places and it’s so clear. I like how you indicate how many stops and the block numbers or landmarks. Perfect! I love it..Version: 10.57.11

SUPER PRATIQUE !!Application très bien faite facilement compréhensible, bien détaillée parfait pour les touriste pas habitué au grande ville ( comme moi ) je recommande fortement.Version: 11.6.1

Used to be betterThis app used to be the best way to get around Berlin, way better than Google maps. Recently has become extremely inaccurate for some routes, almost like it's inhabiting a different reality or something. Wildy wrong on things like the U bahn. It's shame because it used to be the king.Version: 10.9.1

HelpfulVery useful app.Version: 11.3

The best public transportation by farCitymapper gives so many options to mix and match in terms of what combination of buses and trains to take. For someone who lives in a big city, I really appreciate being able to decide which combinations of rides fit my time the best. The only feedback I have is that though it gives good options, it is not as clear as Apple Maps where exactly the stops are or where to enter for the subway or train. Sometimes it so unclear to the point where I have to navigate to Apple Maps to see which entrance I can take to get to my correct ride.Version: 10.44

Love the app but fix this bug..I love city mapper, I’ve used it so consistently over the last 2 or so years and it’s only since the most recent update that I’ve had issues with it. I dont know what causes it, but after the app has been opened and used once or twice it will start to shut down on the apps home screen. The second I click ‘get me somewhere’ it just closes and then continues to do so until I either restart my phone or re-download the app! It’s just starting to be a real nuisance.. anyway love the app apart from this recent bug. See what you can do! Cheers.Version: 6.26.2

Better than Transit, but has its issuesIt gets 5 stars for being better than Transit, but loses 1 star because I can’t use it anymore since I started a new job. I like that I can see all the upcoming departures for the line I’m about to get one, not just the next one. It also lets you manually select which departure you’re going to make, which is helpful because I usually walk fast so I usually make it to the one before it thinks I’m going to make. However, for some reason it doesn’t recognize the station right next to my work as a station, so it always tries to take me to/from a station much further away, which adds a lot of time to my commute. I don’t use the app for directions, I only use it for ETAs and seeing the bus/train departure times, so it’s basically useless now when I’m going to work. I still use it when I’m going other places, which is much less often..Version: 10.52.3

Difficult to navigate btw options although generally good! It’s hard to navigate in and out of trip options since you can’t simply go “back”. Also, the light rail doesn’t seem to be an option? Only busses and trains.. Other than that it’s super helpful since it will send you a notification of when to get off etc!.Version: 9.7

Best I’ve seenEasy to use, easy to follow, haven’t seen better. Great work! Thanks.Version: 7.19

Best commuters’ navigatorThe team has a sweet sense of humor and great design effort, not just about the graphic but user interface how to best communicate with commuter in order to navigate through complex transport system. You should give it a try.Version: 10.30

Fantastic appSuper helpful for a visitor to use..Version: 11.4

I love this app! This is a great app for those who are directionally challenged and would get lost in their own backyard. I love the fact that there is a feature that signals you when it’s time to get off at your stop. I never go anywhere without using Citymapper! It’s also great that the app gives you at least 5 different ways to get anywhere and it includes all modes of transportation. The walking feature is great because it has a blue dot that lets you know if your walking in the right direction or not. Since using this app I’ve never gotten lost and I usually get to my destination faster than the app estimates. This is an essential app for those who travel regularly..Version: 6.25

Best Navigation App Ever!I am from a very small country town so whenever I am in a big city I am always worried how I will get around. I have used this app in New York, Seoul and Sydney, it was so easy to use, it helped me get anywhere I wanted. I can’t recommend this app enough for anyone travelling..Version: 7.11

One of the most useful appYou can do so much with the app and the best thing is when you are overseas you can just switch the city and it is the same familiar experience without having to buy or purchase extra maps/ app. First the options of transport and routes are amazing. Giving you an endless of choices. The timing is fairly accurate - depending on the city you r in. The walking route is even better than google maps becuase it gives you a preview of the street view of the destination in a handy button. It even thinks of your safety by letting you share your trip with someone so that they can track your travel progress. The key is ALL these features are ALL in one map. easier to read and use then the other ones..Version: 11.4.3

Get this app!I don’t write reviews, but I went out of my way to do this. You can pick your time of day of travel and it will tell you how long it will take to get from you start point to your finish point, including where to walk, Which subway exit to take, and even how many calories you will burn. You have multiple options that you can choose for your route and for your method of travel. It’s just awesome. it was my lifeline when traveling in New York City for the first time alone. I can’t recommend it highly enough. Only con is that it can’t pinpoint your current location as accurately as I would like, so I had to wander around a little bit as I neared my Destiination while walking..Version: 7.15.494

Superb appUsed over a number of years. Just gets better.Version: 7.12

Perfect application indispensableMerci Indispensable This app for public transportation is as useful as GPS for a car. Don’t go without using it for any travel out of home..Version: 10.56.3

Saved me about a million times from being lost overseasThis app is SO good!!! The thought that’s gone into it (providing maps on the home page of the city you’re in, train timetables etc) and providing 5 or 6 different ways to get to where you’re going with a very easy step by step guide. It’s SO GOOD! I’ve suggested it to heaps of peeps :D.Version: 7.8

PresentationLove the UI, practical and funny, nice.Version: 10.58.7

Easy travel nowExcellent app. Best in my folder. Tried many before Citymapper. Clear and easy. Covers everything- but only in city..Version: 11.2

Local & TouristWether your a local or a tourist if City Mapper is in your City it’s a must have. When using public transit either at home or abroad City mapper is the best. Makes not only planning your trip but following directions is a breeze. Including costs associated with various modes of transport as well as different routes is such an amazing feature. With live updates on times never be left in the lurch..Version: 10.58.7

Quirky excellenceThis is, hands down, the best transit app I’ve ever used, and I’ve used quite a few. It provides a surprisingly detailed understanding of your city; covers all modes of local transportation from traditional (bus & rail) to newfangled (Uber & scooters) and the very best of human-powered (walking & cycling); and offers up highly accurate and intuitive directions (tho I have noticed, at least in Chicago, some obvious route options missing from bussing suggestions)... And all of this excellent info is staged with a welcome sense of whimsy. Citymapper is a must-have (at least a must-try) for every wayfarer, pedalist, and straphanger..Version: 10.16

Can't live without itThis is the best app for getting around London. Has all the info you need and more.Version: 4.3

Better than google mapsEspecially when it comes to itineraries and directions. The public transport live timings are far more accurate and reliable than the Google Maps’s ones. Also the whole experience of the Citymapper is great and the tone of voice is lovely. Best utility app on my phone..Version: 8.19

Do not like latest updatesCity Mapper is my main way of getting around New York and it’s the first thing I suggest newcomers download to navigate the transit system, but the newest updates are not good. You used to be able to access the bus routes in real time from within your trip, but now you have to exit all the way out and find them in a roundabout way. The navigation often glitches and won’t let you go forward to back to the next or previous steps once you’re in a trip. It gets stuck and then the app shuts down. The older version never had these issues and they’re such an important part of use for every trip!.Version: 10.19

BrilliantSimply the best. Saved us on recent trip to San Francisco. Does everything you need and more..Version: 4.8

AmazingSo amazed with this app! Made my weekend in London so much more easier than it would have been without this app helping me! Literally have never used the underground trains by myself before and I was very worried that I may get lost or not have a clue where I’m going. However one of my friends told me about this and so I downloaded it. Once in London each time I needed to go somewhere I’d put the locations in to the search bars and it gave me so many different travel routes/ different ways to travel so quickly! Genuinely would recommended this to anyone as it was so helpful to me..Version: 8.2

Best app I’ve got!I’ve been using city mapper for around 4yrs now, in several different cities and it is by far the best route helping application I’ve used. It is very accurate and I e never had any issues at all. A few times, what looked the place to get on a particular bus was slightly different to what the app said, but I kept going to the place indicated, and it has always been correct. I’ve so much confidence in it I will consider that I am wrong if I believe something different to what is indicated. The timings are accurate and the logic in planning routes is so, so good. You can pick up a later trip when you’re in a trip hut didn’t start it at the time and it will pick up that you’re on the trip already. It id my favourite app!.Version: 10.55.1

Inaccurate travel timeI’ve used Citymapper app for a long time but recently I was really really disappointed. Every morning I check the train departure time that Citymapper says and go to the station before its departure but when I arrive at the platform, the train didn’t come yet or it’s already gone.. and I am late at work. I experienced this twice today only. For example, I see the departure time is 5:22pm but when I arrive at the station at 5:20pm there is no train but there is a train departing at 5:35pm. Can you please fix inaccurate train departure time? Is it because you guys didn’t update it or what? This makes me really annoyed..Version: 8.16

Must have for big city travellingUsed this in London / Paris / Rome / Los Angeles without any issues. Often had better location tracking than google maps. Easy to use and just super helpful when exploring new places!.Version: 7.17

One of the best apps ever!!Visited NYC, and couldn’t have enjoyed it as much without the app..Version: 11.0

THE best way of finding one’s way around a city I’ve ever used!I love Citymapper, I really do. Never before have I found such a great way (if you’ll excuse the pun) of finding my way around a city. It considers and calculates every single means of transport there is for you, between where you are and your destination, and then presents a range of options for you to pursue, combining different modes of transport and displaying total journey cost expectations, in a very clearly and fun, even, presented instruction for the chosen route. It’s always been spot on, e.g. when compared against other similar services, very straightforward and simple to interpret, so definitely gets my vote as the clear winner of its type!.Version: 7.1.1

So easy to useI’ve been using this app to get around London and it is making traveling around much easier. Lots of options, Easy to follow instructions and very helpful. Only down fall is the amount of battery it uses. Apart from that would recommended!.Version: 8.5.1

Excellent travel companionJust returned from trip to London and Paris. This app was fantastic. It gave us complete confidence in how to get from A to B and we used it every day to find our way around especially on the metro and underground train systems. Highly recommend. The only improvement I can suggest is a better link for walking directions as we found we had to flick out of app and into google maps for walking directions. Best tool I have come across..Version: 8.17

Loving the new STEP FREE update!!I have this app on various devices for more than a few years now and I always recommend it to other people. It’s actually one of my favourite apps how sad is that? LOL. I am so happy that they now have step-free routes I have been waiting for something like this for so long for my cousin who is disabled I have now told her to download the app and she is so happy. The TFL wheelchair access / step-free guides/maps were so confusing to the point my cousin had to be lifted up a flight of steps from a platform late at night when we got confused whether it was a station that had lifts or not for her wheelchair. It was the last train so we couldn’t turn around so lucky the nice men helped her while i carried her wheelchair up. Anyways now thanks to this app and its wonderful nee update i am confident this wont happen again. A BIG THANK YOU to the city mapper developers and all who contributed to making this!!.Version: 7.23

Citymapper was a lifesaver for meI am a 67 year old female, who is from a small town. Our only means of transportation, is our personal vehicles. Although I wanted to visit London, I was intimidated because of it’s massive size, and I had no idea of how to use it’s public transportation system. Before making the decision to visit London, I discovered Citymapper and downloaded the app. Although at first it was confusing on how to use it, I finally got the hang of it. I then began doing trial runs to the different locations that I wanted to visit. Before long, I had learned how to go all over London, by using Citymapper. Once I felt confident that I could maneuver the city, I then made arrangements to travel. By the time I arrived in London, I was able to get around like the locals. Had it not been for Citymapper, I honestly don’t think that I could have taken this trip..Version: 11.6.1

LOVE this appI recently went to NYC for a long weekend and though I know my way around the city pretty well I explored this visit to places I haven’t been, enter the Citymapper app. You put in where you want to and it shows you how to get there and a multitude of ways. Whether it be walking taking the train or taking the bus or taking a cab or taking an Uber or Lyft. It gives you the time of each method of transportation how long it will take you to get there and it even gives you an estimated cab and Uber/Lyft fares. If you opt to take the train like I did it tells what car to get on to be closest to an exit and it even gives you walking directions when exiting the train to reach your final destination. This app is AWESOME! I highly recommend and will use it for years to come. Thank You Citymapper..Version: 7.16

Ease of useI simply love it and need no other transit app for Vancouver..Version: 10.56

Using Citymapper in LondonJust the perfect companion for travel in public transport. Reminds you of your stop 😃.Version: 10.39.1

This app made me love city travel againRecently I visited NYC for 4 days. I have been there three times and each time I was a stressful ball of mess that would be switching back and forth between three different apps and still managing to get lost. NOT ANYMORE !! Citymapper is the best app on the market for nagavating a big city. It took a few trail and errors to get the hang of it but once I got the gist of the app it was super easy . I love the fact that it gives you multiple options for getting to your destination and you just pick the one that works best for you. My preferences was buses with no transfers . So I found it and picked . I didn’t get lost not one time with citymapper and it actually made traveling the city seem like a breeze ..Version: 8.8

Best transport appHave used the app in Hong Kong, Vancouver, Toronto, London, Singapore, and Tokyo. It has always provided accurate directions and extensive transit options. Looking forward to bangkok being added..Version: 10.48

The bestAs long as your city is supported, you can guarantee this will be miles ahead of the likes of Apple or google maps. One of the issues with Melbourne is having to check across several different apps when you want to find out which stop to get off if it’s a tram, or which platform to change on for the train, great for people who aren’t used to the city or even if you’re going somewhere new.Version: 7.19.1

Moving around with easeVery impressed with app. Wasn’t expecting to gain more perks than Google maps but I found out a second to none app to move around. Hands down to programmers.Version: 11.4.3

The bestApp I've got I use it everyday so accurate and reliable!.Version: 3.4.1

BrilliantWould give Citymapper 6 stars if I could. On a family holiday in Europe it was great getting us around London, dealing with track work and closed tube stations to get us onto buses as needed. And then when we arrived in Paris to be greeted by a strike, Citymapper still managed to get us across town with no problems at all. Best app ever..Version: 9.6

Best App for TravelingI am currently traveling through London on spring break with my family and I gotta say this app is the best thing for getting around anywhere. I’d be lost already if it wasn’t for this app. Usually what I have to do to get around would take me 2-4 apps with what this one app does. If you plan on traveling anywhere in the world I highly recommend you download this app. It’s very convenient and offers a ton of options for different modes of transportation. At first it will seem intimidating and a bit overwhelming with all of the ways you can travel but I can guarantee that with a bit of practice this app it can serve you at top notch quality..Version: 7.4

Really usefulAs a first time visitor to London this app was invaluable. In fact the only trouble had was if I ignored it. Highly recommend to anyone could not do without it..Version: 11.0

Hong Kong's #1 public transport appI've been waiting a long time for something this comprehensive to come out. It has every single transportation option in HK. A must have for anyone visiting or living in HK..Version: 5.13

*The* Travel Companion! This app is one of the best things you need whilst traveling! I travel to London often and this is what my husband and I use 100% of the time, and how we originally found this app. Since then we’ve been to Philadelphia, DC, Portland, Seattle and NYC and have used Citymapper in all those places! It’s easy to use and I love the little details like letting you know which train cars tend to be less busy. It always gives you multiple routes, too, because sometimes the fastest route isn’t the most ideal! My only small gripe is that in NYC, it’s not particularly clear about where the Subway entrances are at. Beyond that, this app is amazing and I recommend it to so many people. Especially if you’re an avid traveler, you’ll download it and never need anything else. 🤩.Version: 10.52.2

LifesaverSoo crucial when in a foreign city it makes things so easy with every possible transportation option available and steps throughout.Version: 11.4.3

So fantastic for navigating SydneyI love the simplicity of the app; it makes getting around Sydney so much easier, the layout of various transport options is very helpful. Infinitely better than google maps and an incredibly helpful resource, especially when new to a city. Thank you to the people behind this app - it’s been so great to rely on 🙏🏼😀.Version: 8.12

Recently has become less reliableI have used this app and raved about it for years. I recently moved to a new part of Brooklyn and am using a whole new set of subway lines and I’ve had to come to terms with knowing that if I follow this app, I will always be about 10 minutes late.. so I plan accordingly and set my arrival time to be 10 mins earlier than I need to be. Last night I left my apt 5 mins later than the app told me to and arrived at my destination 20 mins late... those 5 minutes might have accounted for me missing a train but it is just incredibly frustrating. Also I don’t know if this is a setting on my phone but the blue dot on my map that tracks my location has also become unreliable. It consistently points me in the wrong direction so I now go the opposite way of where it tells me to go..Version: 8.0.2

Stellar appWow, great app. Visiting a city and need a great app to navigate the transit? … this is it. Used it to navigate Paris recently and it was superior to local apps..Version: 10.53.1

Great job!I’m completely shocked with how great this app is. I went to New York for the first time in my life and I was scared because I didn’t know where to go to find the subway or which subway I had to take. The city mapper app helped me so much!!. It helped me find the best route for me to take, which subway I had to take, how much I had to walk, what time the subways came, how many stops I had left, and more. It is extremely accurate. Thank you guys so much!!! Awesome job with this app. If you guys are touring New York for the first time and don’t know what to do or how to get around New York City definitely use this app. 10 out of 10.Version: 10.48

👌🏼A really good app, but it would be nice if you guys could update the app to show when buses are delayed..Version: 10.53.1

Greatest travel app for any travelerBest travel app that I've stumbled upon. Tells you anything you might want to know about getting around your favourite cities :).Version: 4.8

Lifesaver!Recently moved to London and Citymapper has been a huge part in helping me get around London. Easy to navigate and would def recommend 👍🏻.Version: 7.22

Best app for large cityI will never travel without this app. I would be lost. Now I travel like a pro.Version: 11.4.1

This app is my return-to-office jam.Much easier to use versus other transit apps..Version: 11.0

Excellent appOne of the best performed app that i ever used. It helped me a lot for my last trip in Montreal. Thanks Skander Chouchene for the recommendation..Version: 10.57.12

Cross-metro area support badly neededWith RailBandit no longer an option (development stopped - no 64-bit support), I have been reviewing various apps to help me with my commutes to downtown Philly and NYC. This app has easy to follow directions, watch support, and optimal routing. It saves me a considerable amount of time by even telling me what subway car is optimal (crucial to an efficient commute when transitioning from the train to the subway). It also has a good live data feed to let me know platform and boarding info. The only reason preventing the 5th star is the fact that I need to manually switch metro areas in the app when going to NYC vs Philadelphia. Devs, these regions border each other and many people traverse the two in a daily commute!.Version: 6.22.1

I <3 u ...City Mapper!.Version: 3.2

Marketing is good until...Smart ride is one of the most exiting and innovative thing i’ve seen for transport sectors. Although as much as i appreciate the effort, please do not give up on the most fundamental thing of the app which is to provide the quickest and optimal transport options. Some of the recommendations nowadays makes no sense. There were clearly quicker way around and less changes needed when i search for my destination. Even after browsing all the given options, i still dont see the route option that i know that would be quicker. It makes no sense. Please improve and not to make me pause on the selection screen and later just quit the app.Version: 7.13

Travelers dream appWe started using CityMapper in 2016 and simply couldn’t live without it now. It’s taken us all around Europe, the UK and the US many times and just gives all the right information at your fingertips. Fabulous!.Version: 11.0

Saves time and moneyCity mapper is the best app. Period. It accurately estimates taxi fares. It very accurately estimates travel times. It gets me from place to place quickly and cheaply. And the user interface and speed are exceptional. City mapper is what smart phones were made for..Version: 4.6

Best app I’ve used!I was recommended this app for a recent trip to NYC. I could not have got round without it. You can put locations in and it will give you the time it’ll take with trains, walking and any delays. I am not very techy and yet I found it easy to use and extremely helpful. It will tell you which subway station to walk to, how long the walk is from your exact current location and which stop to get off at and where to walk to once you’re off the train. It will tell you which platform to stand on and what will be on the front of the train you need. I genuinely would have been lost without it. Brilliant app!!.Version: 10.57.12

Absolutely amazing appUsed this in Rome and London and it never let us down. Gave us confidence to use the public transport in cities we did not know and thus saved us a huge amount of money and stress. Very easy to use, not too data-heavy and accurate to a few metres. Can't recommend this highly enough!.Version: 6.17

Great for Public Transit when travelingVisited Chicago for a week and bought a 1 week CTA Pass: Citymapper was the primary way I understood how to get from place to place! Not only did it show me multiple options, but it also altered me when my stop was coming up! Alerts and status even showed up on my Apple Watch! Really, it was an indispensable tool for that trip. It’s overall usefulness is not much diminished by the fact that I could not initiate a trip on my watch. I could follow all steps of a trip that I had initiated on my phone, though, and that was very useful: I could keep my iPhone in my pocket while checking status on my watch. Really useful app!.Version: 8.7

London travel, sorted. My last trip to London was made so much more productive and enjoyable using this app opposed to all others available. Bus, Tube, and train times were instantly updated and the app follows the journey whilst on it. The ride share for £5 was a nice addition allowing the opportunity to get across the city in comfort for such a small fare (didn’t have to share the ride once, but paid as if I had). The option for regular commuters to buy passes seems a great perk for those living in the city. Definitely will continue to use whenever I am in any city that has Citymapper..Version: 8.3

BEST Travel Navigation AppI recently travelled to London, UK and I use Citymapper to navigate the city. It gives you all of the options for transportation as well as cost. It also tells you what platform your train is on and what is the best exit to use from the train station. I used it with my Apple Watch and it sent notifications telling me to get off at the next stop to my watch. Walking using the app is really easy. It’s simple to determine which direction you need to go in. I highly recommend this app for travellers..Version: 10.58.4

Wish ListI really like this app, however with current state of transport services and the general uncertainty of life, it would be great to have a way of saying ‘I am now on the suggested mode of transport’ and having the app adjust. Currently, I have to keep going between starting points as one mode of transport and another turns out to be delayed or cancelled. I mark the earlier train I have managed to catch, get on it and find all the timings have been automatically changed to those of the next train, on the assumption that I’ve missed it Would be a great feature if do-able! Thanks for all you currently provide..Version: 10.58.3

More information on platforms would be great!I’ve been using the all in London for several years and it’s great! It suggests which train car to go to for more optimal trips and it’s great! Unfortunately it didn’t provide that info in Amsterdam and Rotterdam. It can be very confusing in some cities because there are different train services and their gates are often side by side and it’s not very easy to navigate (not always large boards showing all platforms are available at stations..). When you’re in a rush and have to figure it out, it can be quite frustrating.. so that little bit would improve the app massively, albeit it would be a bit tricky to get live updates at last minute when platforms are potentially changed from the usual. That’s the only discrepancy I’ve noticed this far. Otherwise a great app to use! Hopefully will get a live-update-version for Athens too. (Haven’t tried it there yet!).Version: 10.57.12

Amazing app!!!This app is so great, I cannot describe how much I love it. The interface is intuitive and user-friendly. It has all the information needed for my trip. I used to struggle a lot with the PTV app but not any more thanks to this convenient little tool. Thanks a lot and keep it up guys.Version: 8.16
