Debt Payoff Assistant for Negative User Reviews

Need weekly/bi-weekly paymentsLike the app, but I pay weekly and can't get accurate dates. Also doesn't allow for skipped payments..Version: 3.0

Latest update stinksUsed to love the tool but the most recent update has stripped a ton of functionality I have come to love about the tool. Especially being able to see quickly total interest in the calculator but now you throw the amortization schedule with no summary. Time to look for another tool..Version: 5.1

It's ok.......First I wanna ask what is a ever cookie?? Sooo this is a great tool to see when the debt will be paid off and it works out all the payment dates. Just would like it to work with my calander and show payments there and bi weekly would be great as well..Version: 3.0

Keep shutting downUnfortunately this app won't even accept one entry. It just stalls and shuts down. How many stars do I give!.Version: 4.0

OkLike the interface and the general concept, however, there is no way to modify individual payments, say if you get behind one month in your snowball. It counts on you following your preplanned extra payment amount the entire time, without ability to change as necessary without wiping out all your data and payments to date. This should be a pretty easy fix so I hope it will come..Version: 5.1

Good ideaGreat idea but kept freezing and asking for a password when there wasn't one..Version: 3.0

Awesome but-I wish there would be a way to enter just a payment without the additional money option. It won’t let me add the payment I just made without adding additional money to it. Just annoying. Other than that it’s great!.Version: 5.1

Awesome appSo this is an amazing app! Great way to manage debt and to help pay it off. As of right now though it has pretty much Ed ranked seeing as it will not work with iOS 13 and newer. When attempted to check off a payment for a bill or something it just says that you can only check off up to three months. Mind you it could be last month you or the current month or a future month it will still pop up saying you can only check off up to three months. As long as this is happening the app is useless. Hope it gets fixed..Version: 5.1

Major failingThe app although great with the colour and functionality has one rather major failing as the snowball method of repayment. It does not allow you to add or record extra payments..Version: 3.0

Needs weekly payment optionThis app is great except it needs a weekly payment and editing option..Version: 4.0

Use another appTerrible functionality, does not allow initial debt to be entered, cannot edit debt and overpayments properly and doesn't snowball correctly..Version: 3.0

Great app but needs more payment frequenciesAs someone who pays my bills biweekly, it makes my payment schedule a little inaccurate. Some months have three payday weeks instead of two so doubling up my payments calculate to monthly payment doesn’t really work. The payoff date is not correct because it’s technically missing several payments over it’s entirety..Version: 5.1

Still needs weekly/biweekly paymentsI agree with the other postings; most people don't pay all of their bills monthly. This lack of flexibility takes away from an otherwise awesome app. It is still useful, but this makes it a rough estimate. Also a debt payment cannot be edited once it is input. For example, if you increased your debt payment by $50/month, you must either start a new debt category or add $50/month each month. Still a very useful app to see debt, interest, and payment totals.Version: 3.0

Repayment Frequency Option NeededI love the design of the app but unfortunately I don’t pay my debts off monthly. I pay fortnightly as that is when I get paid and to pay more frequently as soon as you can reduced interest as interest is calculated daily. I would love to see different repayment options incorporated into the app and would happily pay for this feature..Version: 5.1

Froze the first timeCheap.Version: 4.0

FussyJust let people set the currency within the app - quick & simple!.Version: 1.0

Its just rubbishIt's just not fit for purpose or well thought out. There are much better debt apps out there..Version: 1.0

Need real time dataThe app is nice as far as creating a plan for you to help pay off debt but it would be nice to see your actual progress/remaining balance. When you try to edit the balance it changes the entire plan and throws off the monthly payments. I don’t want to login and see my original start off debt: it’s depressing lol. But it’s simple and easy to use!!.Version: 5.1

One major problemI’m transferring data from a different app manually in this app starts posting from the next month so you would have to turn your phone calendar back a month.Version: 5.1

OkWorks okay for seeing your debts and how much is going to principal and interest. However, it doesn't account for being "gazelle intense" (windfalls/or accelerated payments) because it only allows you to mark off payments up to three months in advance..Version: 5.0

Can’t editCan’t edit your debt if you continue to charge. Also can’t change your monthly minimum payment as they change each month so it’s not helpful I have to delete the whole debt and renter it with the new amount owed and that months minimum payment so I know how much to pay the others..Version: 5.1

What Happened?I tried submitting my Review. It wouldn’t take ANY name I put for my review. So I changed my stars from 1 to 5 stars to get around. I am purchased the app, put in the amounts I was tracking etc and felt great. I started to pay off more on the cards so I put in the new balance, and... now the payoff dates are in the past!? What happened? This is crazy! Doesn’t help me at all. Are you going to fix it, if so when? If not I would appreciate my money back..Version: 5.1

Ok butIt’s simple enough to use but today the 30th of March, I put in a debt with a due date of the 21st and it put the 21 of March and I’ve already made the payment for March! Why does it do that? It should be obvious that the next payment is for the 21st off April, right?.Version: 5.1

Lack capability to editOnce you setup a debt it is impossible to make changes. So if I drew on an account (like what happen often on a credit card) you cannot simply go and adjust the principle or even interest rate in case I manage to negotiate a new interest rate. Cannot sort the debts on the home screen either. This app is good if you have loans that will not change in principle or interest rate such as personal loans. Not good for Credit Cards..Version: 4.0

JamesApp could be better. There's no way to mark your payments as paid and no way to mark any extra you make on a payment. We should be able to go into the current month payment and add to it. Say your car payment is $475 and instead you add $25 to it one time you can't show it in that months snowball.Version: 5.0

Would prefer....I pay all my bills weekly or fortnightly. Would love it if the app had this option :).Version: 5.1

No iCloud Support. Need to update each device. His app would be great if I didn’t have to update each device separately. ICloud support would be great..Version: 5.1

Great app but...You can only select the day of the month you pay all of my payments are showing 2013 - 2015 app is telling me even though I have 14k outstanding @ 500 per month I will be debt free next week.......... Silly mistakes ruin apps I have deleted.Version: 5.0

It’s a good appWish there were a place where I could document notes.Version: 5.1

LimitationsApp does not allow you to input bi-weekly payment schedule..Version: 4.0

Needs another featurePlease add an option for biweekly and weekly payment options. Without this it doesn't give me an accurate pay off date. Yes I do add my biweekly payments together to put a monthly payment, however, I make 26 yearly payments, not 24. Do this and I will absolutely give this ap a 5 star!.Version: 3.0

Needs additional toolsGreat app for simple tracking and payment. Should allow you to change interest rates from middle to reflect future payment accuracy..Version: 3.0

Needs improvementLove lots about this however does not allow bi weekly payments and expects a 100000$ loan paid off in less than a year along with other bills it overrides the years in which u plan to pay them back over and has all debt paid on less than a year including payments of more than I even make.Version: 3.0

Weekly or fortnightly pay off options would be greatOk app but there's only the option to make monthly payments.Version: 4.0

Don't be fooledThis app seems helpful at first but is completely useless in a few months. Input data and see how long until debts are paid off but come back to update and it never shows current date. A year later I'm still looking at outdated info. I found another app that works much better..Version: 4.0

Looks OKWent to go enter my debt but it doesn't give me a bi weekly payment option. Won't be accurate if I input day 1 and 15. Otherwise I think this app could be pretty amazing.Version: 5.1

ReviewPlease allow DATE entry because everything does not happen in specific years.Version: 5.1

Going backwardI see you changed the app to not show your whole debt on the home page. Not a good idea. I deleted the app. Reloaded it to go back to the original version so I could see the balance of something in bold on the home page and on the bottom of the home page shows total balance and debt pay off date. It’s all gone and what a bummer. Don’t fix it if things are not broke.Version: 5.1

Why 5 months?I’m trying to trial this app but for some bizarre reason when I set up a debt, the first predicted payment off the debt is 5 months from now. So the whole debt repayment schedule s off by nearly half a year. I’ve deleted and started again but get the same result. No good to me..Version: 5.1

A good idea but...There are faults with this app which I reported to the author and they didn't even reply to me. 1) The app does not let you choose very small repayments of a loan, it will suggest a new minimum. I already have smaller agreements in place and therefore cannot track my loan repayment. 2)There is no option to edit the repayments to a lower figure. You can make extra payments of a loan, but cannot reduce these payments in the future. I have often reduced my payments on loans based on fluctuating income. 3) There is no option to make overpayments on a mortgage to see how it effects the payoff date. I used to make an overpayment, and again regularly altered the amount based on fluctuating income. Also, can you edit the interest rate when it changes? I don't think so! 4) There is no way to add to the balance of a loan. A new charge might be added, such as a missed payment or late penalty or future fees. Overall, there is little flexibility in real world use of this app. I would have had to delete a loan and set it up again every time the balance disagrees, but then you loose the progress bar. Speaking of which, the date of the loan should be able to be retrospective and the app should not assume you are always starting a new loan today. If you wish to track debt payoff then your progress is from when you started. It's depressing to think you have made no progress on any of these until the very next month! Please fix these issues, and I will fix (improve) my review..Version: 4.0

No flexibilityThis app is easy to use but there is no flexibility. For example, it’s forcing me to put in a payment double what is due. Sorry but this app won’t work for me as the numbers will be all wrong..Version: 5.1

With a few more features could be really usefulI like many of the things in this app. It kept track of my debts and repayments, and I love the graphs. I would like weekly and fort nightly options, and I want to be able to edit my repayments and balances please..Version: 5.0

BuggyIt's a good idea but it didn't work properly for me. It didn't make adjustments when payments had gone out. Deleted this app..Version: 4.0

Cancelling a paymentI’m with others on this one...I have tried everything to undo a payment that I didn’t make, I pushed several by accident figuring out the app, and now short of typing everything back over again and restarting over I can’t fix this. That’s too simple of a fix I would think to start all over! Please please fix this I love what this does but you don’t give us enough options to manipulate our debts around..Version: 5.1

DebtPayoffAppApp works as described. Only problem I have is no iCloud sync. That is a most important feature when dealing with data..Version: 5.1

Payment frequencyIt would be nice if this app let you to set a payment frequency. I find it much easier to pay each bill every week I get paid and this app only sets it up for monthly payments..Version: 5.1

Only good for one-time static debtApp needs to be able to do math and show current debt as of assigned date of input instead of always showing original debt. Needs field to add payment as of current date and assign it to either one-time or on-going from current date. It is only effective for a one-time tool, not a current tracking/update tool. There are PITA workarounds like doing the whole thing over as of now but it's a PITA.Version: 5.1

PointlessDownloaded, opened, crashed and not been able to open since. Not good....Version: 3.0

I wanna love thisI wanna love this app. I’ve downloaded and tried so many free apps and by far this is the best...EXCEPT the dates. Why is everything dated for March 2019 and on? No matter when I input the debt. That makes it not accurate. PLEASE FIX!!!.Version: 5.1

Well, not as good as I thought ...I really started to like this app, but I’m on income based student loan payments and this app says my monthly payment is too low that it needs to be at least a certain amount that is almost $100 higher than my payment I’m trying to put in. I can’t even afford the payment I have, thanks for making me feel worse when I’m trying to get on track with my bills. 😡.Version: 5.1

My Default Budget CalculatorI've been using this app for years. I input my debt. My percentage. And my monthly payments. Well planned out spreadsheet using snowball effect. Perfect for my needs. Just not on the eyes. Has this iOS 5 and under look. Needs a new UI. Other then that. Perfect.Version: 5.0

Not bad but no weekly payment optionWouldn't pay for it but it's not bad..Version: 4.0

Beware!!This app contains an " ever cookie ".Version: 3.0

Not helpful, unflexible. Can only set one payment per month. No way to show biweekly or semi monthly payments. Not very accurate if you cant set accurate data. I am sure there are other issues but i stopped as soon as i saw the debt setup restrictions. Wont be using this app unless this is updated. None of my payments are monthly..Version: 3.0

Could be improved...The app is useful and well designed overall, but has a major flaw of not allowing weekly/bi-weekly payments..Version: 4.0

Good appWould however be much improved with a fortnightly option..Version: 4.0

GlitchI just purchased this app to help pay off my debt. I chose snow ball strategy and typed in 3000 extra a month. The app told me I would be paid off by next January. Then I made my extra payment 3400 and it added 2 months to a March payoff, rather than showing an earlier payoff... clearly this isn’t right. The app is bulky as well with useless features. I am upset with this purchase.Version: 5.1

Almost a good app, not yet readyI like but i entered a debt which i started paying already and it inly takes the current amount, not the whole amount inc start date. Almost a good app!.Version: 3.0

Debt payoffGood app, but you should be able to apply additional payments on any month. Also, apply the amount you paid if you were short on a month.Version: 3.0

BewareContains an 'evercookie'. Google what an evercookie is..Version: 2.0
