✓ Requires AccountWent to try this, then realised it insists that Users create accounts and log in to use. Why do I need to share my email and have my actions logged each time I want to check the forecast?.Version: 3.5.2
✓ Re-packaged Free DataIt’s a lot of money for publicly available data in a fancy interface. Their proprietary models are inaccurate, in my experience. So at that point you are just using an interface for publicly available data from providers like GFS/ ECMWF. If you purchase equipment from them like a YB3i unit, you are locked into purchasing their services, both airtime and forecasts. You are not permitted to download your own tracking data. From PredictWind customer support: “ The YB3i unit you purchased from PredictWind is preprogrammed to collect position reports hourly and send them directly to PredictWind every 2 hours. This cannot be modified, and for the unit to do this function, you need to pay the $20/month. “ If you want to see your tracking data, you must purchase weather forecasts. If you want to export your tracking data you must pay $49 in developer time..Version: 4.9.6
✓ Must Predict Wind 3 year membership experienceI have found that the standard membership of Predict wind under performs even when compared to the free version. In the EC the models seem to consistently under predict wind speeds and gusts by about 4-5kts. Accuracy of the daily briefing Varys too but my biggest disappointment is in the membership pricing between standard and professional along with the sign up procedures. Last year and again this year the membership expires without warning or reminder. It doesn’t allow for change in payment method. All in, I am searching for a better more fairly priced weather app..Version: 5.1.2
✓ The most inaccurate weather app I’ve usedHave used PredictWind throughout the Caribbean, French Polynesia and now Australia. Mostly I’ve found the gribs to be inaccurate, wind direction usually at least 30° out and very optimistic in wind speed. Unfortunately there is really no alternative. As the gribs are so wrong, weather routing and passage planning must be used with great caution..Version: 3.8.1
✓ FreezeDoesn’t work on my 4 years old iPad mini while all the other apps works (including demanding games). Run the simulation than freezes.Version: 4.9.2

✓ Django offshore racingIt’s good, and presentation of data is good - but its a lot of money for what you get and needs to improve the following; - 14 not 7 days forecasts - Integration of tidal data into weather routing - help with selecting the optimum weather model or combination. - better polar-building functionality - better management of differences between 4 different models. Perhaps a confidence factor. Windy seems a bit more reliable. C.Version: 4.1.1
✓ Needs some usability improvementsGreat data but hard to read the colour scale. Being able to step forward in time would be an improvement..Version: 3.9.1
✓ Accuracy is IffyOver the last few months, it seems that this app has lost a lot of its accuracy. Not a big fan of how it bunches up the times (5-9,10-3 etc) as I prefer hour by hour. I also don’t like how it says 3-19kts or 5-22kts. That doesn’t help me in the least, as the difference between 5 and 22kts is the difference of whether I go out or not. Used to like this app, but I think I’ll stick with WindFinder and SailFlow/Windy..Version: 3.9.2
✓ Too much largely contradictory dataLike many others I find having 4 different forecasts which most of the time contradict each other very difficult to interpret and I am not confident then in reaching conclusions based on this conflicting data. Could we please have fewer forecasts or just 1 forecast that is “Predict Winds” best interpretation of the data and best “forecast” of the weather to come, you after all are the experts..Version: 4.1.1

✓ AccuracyThe predictions vary wildly. It’s a pity that accuracy isn’t better with technology and amount of historic data available. It helps to make an informed decision - it be prepared to change your plans.Version: 4.8.5
✓ Sad experience.The App itself is another piece of fairly good information for offshore weather, not great for costal due to local land influences. However, the administrative billing errors are ubiquitous and continual. Over the course of my four year circumnavigation I have only had 1 instance where I got the service I paid for. Tech support quality has declined noticeably as Predicted Wind’s popularity has increased. I’m not sure why they can’t get it straight, but it does seem to be beyond their capabilities. So, weather info OK, frustrating time spent, very bad..Version: 3.8.1
✓ Not worth the money :(I spent the $30 and tried so hard to like this app, but it’s just not accurate. I get better wind predictions from the native iPhone Weather app. Aside from not being able to set basic map defaults and the complete lack of miles per hour, the twelve (or longer!) hour delay times for updates on windspeed...this thing wouldn’t even be worth one dollar. Apparently you get more features if you spend an additional $60, but I can already see that’s not worth it, either. Live and learn, I suppose..Version: 3.7.3

✓ Refused to make accessibleI like this app but I, like 300 million others on the planet, am colourblind. I have asked the app developers to make this app more accessible by using black text but they said it was too hard. ✓ Disappointing-chart plotter not worth itI paid for the upgrade in this app ($50/month) specifically due to the ad that one could chart plot and be told the best way to travel based on wind/waves. That is false. You get two points, period. If there is a turn or a waypoint, tough. Furthermore, the wind/wave info is not accurate. For our recent long range trip from Marathon, Fl to Naples, Fl across that open area, the app forecasted 2’ or less waves and little wind. We encountered 4’ waves the whole way and 10-15 wind. Just not what is advertised. I wish I could get a refund and just look at the US Weather Marine Forecast..Version: 4.6.0

✓ Looks better than it isI subscribed to PredictWind for three years because the range and presentation of graphics were so good, and these have been improved steadily since. The value of the app is, however, its weather accuracy, and I have found this middling for local conditions - which is what I need it for - even while more 'predictive' for regions..Version: 4.4.1
✓ Very unreliableI am amazed how unreliable 4 days predictions are. I am surprised that no one seems to be checking what is being advised to us - end users. Please have a quick look and see yourself. ✓ Con artistsI hadn’t used the app for well over a year and out of the blue they send me an email saying that my free 14 day trial has ended and they hope I enjoyed it. I will be charged $249 within 48 hours. I have never had a paid for subscription, I certainly haven’t just had a free trial and so I’ve had to waste my time trying to contact them to cancel whatever it is they are trying to force upon me. Their chat bit doesn’t work and it is proving to be very difficult to contact anyone. Don’t go anywhere near this company, they don’t know what they are doing and I feel like they are now trying to defraud me!!!!!.Version: 4.8.5
