✓ Absolutely amazing app!I have both the iOS and the Mac version of this app and they’re worth every penny - unbelievable value for money. As a music teacher I use it every day with students as a practice tool. It’s fantastic for transcribing, and practicing lines or licks. It’s also rock solid for live use with tracks - mark up the sections of your songs, then pair it with a Bluetooth pedal. The autoloop and play next features let you rearrange your tracks on the fly which is extremely powerful. In addition, you can use the retune feature to automate volume, pan, pitch etc. for specific sections of the song. For example you can easily pan a count in at the beginning of a track to your in ear so the audience doesn’t hear the click and automatically pan the rest of your track to come through the PA. This feature alone has saved me literally hours of editing time in Logic. I recently had a problem with a bug after an update and Tony responded to my email within hours, and an update was released a day or two later which fixed the problem. I then received a follow up email to check that it had worked for me. Brilliant customer service. I can’t rate Anytune highly enough. Just buy it, you won’t regret it!.Version: 4.4.3

✓ Music AND foreign language masteryIn addition to learning new music, I’ve been using this to shadow foreign language dialogs. Whether for music or for language shadowing, one can set loop marks for specific passages, tell the loop to auto-repeat “n” times and increase the tempo a bit after each loop. I expect to be a multilingual, shredding, master of harmony soon! I came here to edit a review I left years ago, but cannot find it. I loved the app then and love it now! It does its job extremely well and seems to me to have more features and a better interface than some of the other App offerings. Being able to set markers and then move them even while the track is being played is very cool. Why the 4/5 rating then? It's a little overpriced. Recommended..Version: 3.9.6

✓ Extraordinary, irreplaceable.This is a superb app. It was the best slowdown / retune practice and transcription app by a long way before the latest release... This update has a new feature called ReFrame: it allows you to isolate or eliminate parts of the playback. It has a similar function to the 'voice removal' trick in karaoke machines, but vastly more sophisticated: you can eliminate, or highlight any part that is clearly placed in a specific part of the left/right stereo image, and can narrow that to a specific frequency band (so if two instruments are in the same position of the left/right stereo mix, you can still zero in on one, so long as their pitch/tonality differ). I've been listening to favourite tracks through ReFrame just to pick out elements of the mix I have never clearly heard before... and for transcription, it offers a unique and powerful new tool. I have now been using this app almost daily for literally *years* and despite having trialled or bought pretty much every comparable app, there is nothing to compare even without the simply miraculous ReFrame feature..Version: 4.4.7

✓ First TimerI've played guitar for 45 of my 66 years. When I started playing music, we learned a new song by playing a 45rpm record over and over with each band member trying to figure out his part. I just recently was shown the benefits of using this app by our bass player. While I could use an old-school more detailed instruction manual to understand some of the capabilities of this app, what I've learned to use is well worth the price of the app. Namely, the slow-down and stay at pitch feature along with the capability to replay portions of or an entire song repeatedly has helped me learn intricate melodic lines much easier..Version: 4.0.4

✓ This is the BEST music study tool for transcribingI learned to play long ago with a record player that had a 16-speed setting to slow things down. They were dropped an octave, but it worked. Through the years various technologies have become available to do the same thing without dropping the pitch (unless you want to). This application is the best. It has so many useful features, and by putting my music in iTunes on my iPad and using Anytune Pro+, I have a lifetime of study material in my hands. I can't say enough about how useful this application is. Being able to move around the waveform view of the song by sliding your finger on the screen is such an easy way to move through a tune and work on specific parts. ✓ Excellent for Language LearningI’ve been using this to help me with my Spanish comprehension. Love that I’m able to easily loop a phrase and listen until I can catch every word. I write what I hear and then compare it to a transcription. Often I find that I missed a word or got it completely wrong. Then I can go back and slow it down until I’m able to hear it correctly. I recommend it to all classical or covers musicians, and to anyone who wants to examine pieces to find out how they work in detail. ✓ The tool for learning new tunesThis is the best way to learn a new Irish tune on either fiddle, Irish tenor banjo, or tin whistle. It can be slowed to whatever speed you need until you get the melody in your head and your fingers, and you can repeat difficult phrases or slow them to get details. Then speed the whole thing up once you think you've got it so you can play along. And if you want to change the key because somebody recorded a tune in a key thar is difficult for you, you can adjust the pitch to whatever key you need. Perfect!.Version: 4.6.3

Flattening an interface just to keep up with the times/fads or to try for an “uncluttered appearance” Is not considering all the trade-offs. The interface was never cluttered or confusing before, it was much more intuitive and easy to use because aspects of it reflected “real life,” and real life works pretty darn good. I originally gave it a poor review as I had iCloud syncing problems between devices - this still persists in that a workaround is needed to sync for me - basically deleting all edited marks for all tracks and resyncing all my work to the second device from iCloud, but it does work so it is a minor inconvenience only. Yes, The UI on iPhone appears clunky and confusing at first but with familiarity it works a treat. It is a great app for what it does and for my transcribing needs. ✓ AnyTune rocks... but it could rock a little more IMOI love AnyTune/AnyTune Pro and my fellow musicians that I’ve recommended it to have been extremely impressed by it too. A few suggestions that I feel would improve its usability would be to move the auto scroll 'switch' from the Lyrics Settings section to the main screen beside the font size buttons. This would allow much easier accessibility to change scrolling mode mid-song. It would also be great to be able to override the auto scroll mode by being able to manually scroll when needed. Being able to have chords within the lyrics transposed when song keys are transposed would also be an awesome feature. Maybe even consider being able to import playlists from other apps (like OnSong, BackTrax, etc), or to be able to export and import AnyTune playlists to and from cloud services like Dropbox, etc too. Great for sharing playlists with other AnyTune users, but also to encourage more people to purchase AnyTune to have access to the feature (and this amazing app)! All in all, AnyTune is an awesome app, and its continuous improvements are fantastic! Keep up the great work!.Version: 4.4.3

✓ Amazing practice toolThis app is fantastic. I love using it to learn bass parts. It was absolutely worth every penny. I have one wish though— the ability to separate tracks into stems and then adjust and mute,the individual stems. There are other programs that can do this that are not even very costly, but none come close to the other functions that Anytune Pro+ has. If this was part of the functionality of Anytune Pro+, my life would absolutely be complete..Version: 4.5.2

✓ Fantastic app Best tool for vocal and guitar practiceI love this app. I play in a band and do solo stuff...so have to learn lyrics and the the song chord progression.. Lead guitarist and some singing. Any song from my iTunes library or play lists I've created in iTunes are immediately uploaded when I open it in the app. I then use the repeat mode to learn a verse /chorus part....play it over a million times... I can set up markers within the song which may relate to where verse 2 starts etc or on a Bridge bit. Any particular part in the song I need to work on. It automatically saves my markers etc..so when I call up a different song, play that,then go back to my original song..all the markers are there.- no need to start again Slow the song down- especially for learning guitar parts....fantastic Detune a song to find the the best key that suits your vocal. The band plays in Eb--so I can take a song to practice play it for the band in our Flat Key. Best app ever.Version: 4.6.1

✓ FantasticIt takes a lot to get me to pay money for an app, but I bought this one after about 6 months using the free version. It’s just great. Functionally, a little tough to learn because it has a lot of capabilities. The looping, slow down, and pitch change features are indispensable and work great. ✓ So helpful!I'm an older person learning to play the fiddle. This app is so supportive. Tunes my teacher emails to me are easily added to my AnyTune tune list. I can easily slow the tunes down to a speed I can play at, then gradually increase the speed. I can easily select short phrases of a tune and have them loop over and over so I can learn the tune in short fragments. And whenever I have a question the support team readily supplies an answer I understand. All of this is so important as I'm not very computer literate....so this app is a lifesaver. ✓ WowThis review is a tad premature, but the features are insane. The only caveat is that, as always, power means complexity and less discoverability. I am used to being able to figure apps out without any instructions, but I quickly decided to seek out the documentation, which is excellent so far. The app is somewhat difficult to use on my iPhone 5s because so much is crammed onto the screen. The reframe feature is so cool. I was able to instantly figure out how to remove or isolate the lead vocals. It’s never been so easy to tell what’s going on with the vocal harmonies..Version: 4.1.2

✓ Good but could be betterThis app is excellent for learning new songs. Its a great piece of software but would like the developers to incorporate remote control support for the BLUECON - Bluetooth remote control for iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch. The mini ipad screen is a bit small and its easy to press the wrong button. The remote would sort that out as well as being able to stick the ipad on the top of the amp rather than on a music stand and have cables everywhere.Version: 3.8

I’ve transcribed the entire Jazz Metal album by Shaun Baxter on my iPhone, using Reflow to notate. This pairing of apps is a dream team for transcribing. The reframe feature is phenomenal btw, the best at eliminating a particular instrument - ok so you can’t make a guitar less backing track, but close enough - or boost the guitar and declutter the mix to hear a difficult a passage. ✓ Perfect Jamming/ learning app5 star app for sure. AAAAA+. Been using it for years. ATTENTION I found a big iOS 16 bug. The volume no longer works when launched and playing guitar same time. I move the volume slider nothing happens. Unplug guitar and it works. Plug guitar back in and stops working again. This worked flawlessly on IOS 15 and prior for many years. Obviously not being able to independently set volume between the two is a major issue so I hope this is addressed asap. FYI, current IOS gear, Irig HD 2 for guitar iOS 16.2 iPad Air 4 and iPhone 14 pro max and both have same volume issue.Version: 4.6.1

One is when you are trying to get the phrasing from a singer who strays from the beat in an appealing way. The other is for accents, at which I'm very good. Even just listening 1000 times got me compliments from Brazilians, but this app, because it keeps pitch so well, revealed details instantly that I would never have heard. Very disappointed and would be very upset if hadn't managed a workaround using a recording app to record song as MP3 on iPhone and then air dropping to iPad. Shouldn't have to do that!!! ✓ Perfect 💯 a Must for MusciansI have a reminder on my phone to play the bass line for a sweet soca calypso song. What app do I use to add variety to the way I listen to the song? This one of course! Anytune Pro+ allows me to cut the vocals [re-frame] and EQ the bass line [Bass Solo] all very simply and automatically. Yes I do jam along with the original song unadulterated …and this is a great way to feel the song. However, if you were on tour and jamming with the original band of the tune, you would have the opportunity to solo. Many great compositions, if not most of them, come from improvisation. By being able to cut the vocals and solo the bass, I can effectively jam “on the road” with the original bass player. It does this beautifully, fully retaining the quality of the original normal-speed recording, exceeding my expectations and the performance of other apps offering anything similar. But there is so much more that can be done in this app, such as raising or lowering the pitch and increasing the speed as well as reducing it. Pieces can be divided into an unlimited number of sections, any of which can be looped for automatic repetition. The app optionally accesses the iOS Music app's library as well as being able to be accessed by other apps' "Open in" option. An in-app purchase enables whole files or individual loops to be exported in their original form or adjusted for speed or pitch. I recommend that anyone attracted by this app but deterred by its unusually high price first try the free version, which is called "Anytime - Slow down music without changing pitch". In this version, the developer lets you try out almost all features of the Pro+ version, including exports, but limits durations to about 30 seconds. I found this sufficient for me to become confident that my investment in the Pro+ version would not be risky. I've never heard my music at such a slow speed whilst still having incredible sound quality. This is amazing for transcribing all music because the quality is so good and you really can still hear everything clearly at the lowest of speeds. In fact you can actually hear a lot more. ✓ Great app for musiciansThis is a great app for musicians. It allows you to loop sections of tunes, slow tunes down ( and keep them in the same key) and a whole lot more I haven’t explored yet. It will not accept tunes you can play on (say) iTunes because of DRM issues, but you can easily get around that to get a working copy. ✓ Audio quality isn’t pro.I would give this app 5 stars because it’s been my go-to app to edit music however I want, but recently I noticed the audio quality isn’t really good anymore. I have the “HQ” setting on, yet my music does not have high quality in the app. Of course the Pro setting is worse, but HQ still does not sound as smooth as playing my mp3s outside the app… It makes the music sound “crisp”. I really hope this can be fixed soon because I love this app so much..Version: 4.6
