✓ Potential to be GreatThis could be a great app if only it would work better without Wi-Fi. There seems to be a little glitch with my app it will not work if I'm not in Wi-Fi. It's also hard to edit you have to go through the whole process before allowing you to re-order photos, delete photos, add photos, change length of time, or make any changes it has to go through the entire process before you could do it again. It's kind of a bummer and a waste of time that the editing is not easy to use. Also wish that you could choose where you want the music to start instead of only being able to play the music from the beginning of the song. Finally, it would be the best if you could make movies over 4 minutes..Version: 4.17.5

✓ Best App to Auto Generate moviesI have use this app for the last three years and I’ve tried dozens of different video editing apps and I also use more complex ones like Adobe Premier and this one has always been the one that I go back to because of how well it is able to intelligently choose parts of clips the best fit the movie altogether and the template style options and music options are far better than other apps so your movies are more likely to be unique. ✓ HorribleThis app used to be fabulous. I pay a hefty fee for a yearly subscription and now I can’t even make a video!!!! I put a large amount of time into it and it times out and I lose all my work. this happens time and time again. And well I don’t really wish I bought this app… so when I got it it asked me what I got it for I said I was trying to use it for social media! ✓ Magisto App will make your family and friends cry tears of joyI don't generally write reviews. However this Magisto app is special. It syncs together videos and pictures making you the photographer look like you are as good of a movie director as Ron Howard. My pictures and videos of vacations, friends weddings, holidays spent with family, Eagle Scout ceremony, etc are priceless. I like to take several pictures and short video clips of 10 to 30 seconds. Then just pick the pic and videos you want. Select a music theme from Magisto along with a title to your movie and Magesto's magic does the rest. Get This App. Enough Said!.Version: 4.18.2

✓ Magisto is AmazingI make a movie every month and for every holiday and occasion! People always marvel at how amazing they are. But I feel guilty taking the credit since the Magisto app does all the work. I just select photos, vids, theme, music, title and time and in just a few minutes, Magisto creates a professional looking video! I can’t believe how the app is able to zoom, splice and transition so perfectly every time. It’s really astonishing. If I was to use a traditional photo editing app to accomplish the same result, it would take me 10 times as long! ✓ Seems good. Might need a few tweaks for meI think I’d like to be able to import a video and have the audio as an extra channel/layer. Then have the video play real time, but with images/other videos layered n place/time over it, but with the audio still in sync. Eg if I upload 5 mins video, I might want the talking on the video to be in sync as it was, but be able to pick a soundtrack from the gallery. Meanwhile my spoken word remain on there. During the video, I might want my video to be replaced by 5 secs here and there of (muted) effects footage. I’m testing the product now making a joke video, but thinking I have to chop my footage into chunks first to make it work..Version: 5.5

✓ Overpriced and riddled with bugsCredit where it’s due this app is phenomenal for making stunning videos and does a better job that most other apps with a simple interface that’s easy to use but could do with more options when editing clips. It’s very expensive for what it does, I paid £30 for a month to make highlight reels for a camp I’m working at however the app tends to crash a lot, and right now when I’m desperately needing it to work, the app won’t even load. So although the app does deliver on its outcome, the fact it has these simple bug issues for the price I’ve paid, has frustrated me greatly..Version: 6.6.1

But be careful on the free 3 day trial, once you hit the button your charged, I was but because I like the app so much I let it go thinking maybe in some past life I already had a free trial and that why I was charged but it should not have happened anyway, it was about $27 but then when it was billed it came to a bit over $40 AUD, I do think that if it is sold in Australia then it should state either AUD or USD because it’s a big difference on exchange rates. I never gave this much thought until, I noticed other people with same complaints, if I do not receive a answer on this with in 5 days I will report this issue. ✓ Needs a music upgradeI use this app for a lot of things. I have the full professional upgrade. For the most part, this app does everything I need. The only downside, for me, seeing how much I use the app, is that more editing styles are needed. I would also strongly encourage the creators of this app to allow music from the users personal iTunes account. A lot of the music available works great with the videos. ✓ Better and BetterI have used Magisto for a few years now. They have come a long way from the few cool clips you could make. Video collages could not be made simpler and edits allow you to make tweaks until you love it. They make great 1:30 to 2:30 min videos to capture our trips and vacations to share with family and friend, plus go back and live in the land of nostalgia. If I could critique one thing, it’s that as they have grown it has been more focused on business subscriptions and they don’t keep/update styles like they used to. ✓ GoodI downloaded this app after having a few pictures and videos that I wanted to create into a movie. The app was completely free but there are in app purchases that cost money, but aren’t needed to use the app. You have to select at least 15 seconds of video from your camera roll and a few pictures of you want. This did annoy me as I felt myself adding videos to my movie that I didn’t want. Then you selected your music and a title to the movie. The title can only be a few characters long so not very long at all. This may not bother some people but it did me. It takes about a minute to create you video. Once it has been created you can watch it. A few more complaints are that you can’t edit your movie after creating it. So if you want to add more pictures, videos or change the title you have to create a new video. I did this with one of mine and now have the same videos. Secondly, it doesn’t show the whole video. I had a video of me doing a jump and it cut the jump out and it just looked like me running. Finally, it won’t let you save the videos to your camera role ( as far as I can see)this is frustrating as I want to save them but can’t . This has lead to me videoing the movie on my iPad and other people’s phone. I then get them to WhatsApp it to me, but this is inconvenient. Overall a good app but some big improvements needed..Version: 5.1.3

The amount of work and image processing and video processing it takes to combine and automatically make a video that looks incredibly manually made is amazing. Yes it’s not 100% perfect. There may be some scenes that need to be tweaked. But when I think of the amount of time I would have to spent doing this manually through Photoshop or Adobe After Effects I am totally blown away.
