✓ Not impressed!Very fancy user interface, coupled with developer's descriptions raises expectations way beyond the quality of the performance. Unfortunately you only find this out after spending £7 on an app that's supposed to be a vocoder, but doesn't quite measure up. Is there going to be an update to fix this? Vocoder function is sluggish and doesn't process the speech fed into it very well. The options for overall signal manipulation in any mode seem limited. 2 stars for looks and potential, but style without substance is a good-looking woman who will do nothing for you outside the bedroom - except drive you round the bend!!.Version: 2.2
✓ Was outstanding, but mucho annoying now.Due to the decision to no longer support Audiobus, you would have thought the dev would have provided an update to remove the annoying reminder it no longer supports it. Yet over the last couple of years, nothing. It's like the app has been abandoned. As others have said, an otherwise excellent app let down by a bad decision..Version: 3.1

✓ Great app, but missing...... you guessed it.Like the others say, no Audiobus. Other than that it's a great app with some superb functionality. Not overly complex too which is good and sensibly laid out so quite easy to get to grips with. Good tuition video as well. As a standalone it's very good. With IAA it's good. However no Audiobus gives this a 3 star review. It's not totally unusable but if you like Audiobus then this will be a problem..Version: 3.1

✓ Below averageThe kind of people who use iPhone apps don't have time to learn all of the features on this generally. I spent a while playing around with it and found it a bit clumsy to use with mildly uninteresting results. The high price adds to the feeling that I will never get my money's worth from this particular app. If I had a second chance to whether I'd buy it or not, I wouldn't bother..Version: 1.0
✓ Great app, bad UXI'm writing this because I care: VS provides lots of vocoder functionality but unfortunately suffers from a layout that favors parallelism over usability best practices, resulting in some fairly confounding experiences. The good: Cylon welcoming committee, the innovative reticule "eye", EQ presets. The bad: everything else - there's too many problems to list here but overall it needs a serious revamp; why are the parent drawer buttons below their child containers and why do they sometimes get covered? Why do they appear more associated the effects knobs than their child functions? Why are distinctly different things using the same real-estate hogging red dot button? Recommendations: all routing could have 1 menu that includes the recorder, the keyboard needs more vert space and key size scaling, the "set" buttons could just be "favorites" at the top of a single drop-down slider for all sound presents (that ditches the red dot in favor of longer names)..Version: 3.1

✓ Randomly starts glitchingPretty much sums it up. Tried on several devices and eventually, somewhere between 1min and 1hr of use, it starts jumping the pitch all over and/or sounds like little digital clicks at the start of words or syllables. Volume isn't clipping, audio into ipad is pristine (checked through several other apps). I don't know but I've wasted a lot of time trying to figure it out..Version: 4.1

✓ Crippling an App in the name of Audio Purity is Bull...I can understand the developer had issues with Audiobus Audio standards ( even if nobody else in the Audio World actually did as far as...audio goes), but leaving stuff in limbo like this, especially something as Pricey by iOS standards is bu$&s$&t! ✓ ClarityYou could be much more clear to your customers in noting that Voice Synth and Voice Synth Modular are the exact same apps. Except that there are in-app purchases that turn the Modular version into the full version. Yes, you do note that there are in-app purchases. But it’s not entirely clear, if it’s clear at all, that the difference I’ve described exists. One has to go into the manual to find that out. It ought to be right there in the app description. If I’m wrong please correct me and I’ll revise this review. Otherwise, this is a great app. But, that said, a clear description of the differences between the two apps is essential, I would think..Version: 5.1.2

✓ Good but needs a bit of workI’ve had my eye on this app for years now and finally bought it, found myself struggling with a couple things, especially getting it to integrate with GarageBand. My biggest issue with the app is scale editing. It locks to a C Major “aesthetic” even if if I edit the root note. It essentially tunes the C Key to a new note, so the scale sonically changes, but it’s physically in the place of C. It throws me off and makes even the simplest transposition a nightmare. Please update so that I can make the key of, say A Major, start on the A key so it looks like an A Major Scale, instead of locking it to the C Key etc. Also I would love to see better integration with GarageBand. Like automatic chord recording for after effects. I’d really love to be able to record a clean vanilla take and then lay the vocoder effect on top after I’m done. I would love to see an “auto chord” forming tool so that I only need to hit one key to make a full Triad/Chord because hitting digital keys on a tiny screen isn’t very easy or precise. Of course it would need to have chord editing to make sure it doesn’t give a Major when it needs to be minor, as some of the auto pitch scales aren’t the easiest to work with in that regard and I’ve found myself struggling to find the right scale for what I’m trying to do. And as it seems there’s only 5 scales Major/minor/Penta etc, so I’d love to see more added to match the ones in GarageBand. Looking forward to updates. :).Version: 5.1.5

✓ Can’t lock screen while using app?First of alI I’d like to say this app is great and very useful. I highly recommend it, however it would be really nice to be able to lock the screen without pausing the app, it needs to keep running audio in the background. If other Apps can do it so can Voice Synth. Myself and many other people use this app as a voice modulator with their costumes so that would be a very welcome update! The screen drains the battery and doesn't need to be on at all times. Many other apps can do this currently but not Voice Synth? Please update the app with this feature!.Version: 4.1

✓ Help!Everything I’ve seen demo-wise for this has me very excited about using it. But after dl’ing and playing around I can’t get audio recorded into the sampler from my iPad’s mic or headset. Granted access from the get go and double checked in settings as per manuals recommendations. No go. Followed no audio in/out instructions in the “questions” section of the manual. No go. Dying to drop 5 stars in this as I loved the free demo (same problem, thought it might be a pro only feature to record in or something) but I just need this one crucial feature fixed in order to do that. The audio quality on the voice recording isn’t really usable in my opinion, direct into GarageBand with the same mic is way better in quality. Annoyed. ✓ Easy to use... mostly...This is mostly easier to use from scratch than other popular vocoder apps but it has similar functions available. The 2001 HAL reminiscent design is ok but the substance mostly matches up to stylistic eccentricities. There isn't a settings menu and things have to be found in different subsections if you need them. However, it's fairly easy to use. Buy while on offer rather than full price..Version: 2.1
