✓ The best part of my set up!I love this app - a lot. Its transformed my experience as a mediocre musician who can't key change in her head, its given me the ability to add atmospheric pads at the touch of a button to give our band's sound more depth, it keeps track of what songs we do for our CCLI report - its just brilliant! There is so much to OnSong - I've used it for over a year now and I've only scratched the surface. I use a blueboard to control the ipad during our church services - and its fantastic. I also run the pads from it and use an expression pedal with the blueboard to control volume. The links in to CCLI Song Select, Rockin with the Cross etc is a brilliant way to get your music, and best of all - if you can't play your standard set it Eb, you can transpose it with a few clicks! ✓ Fantastic App, a must have for live performers both young & old!This app is BRILLIANT, and to anyone who can’t work it out, well, you should probably stay away from anything more complicated than a slingshot or Fred Flintstones car because technology is clearly not for you! I am VERY new to sound & music software etc, and at 59 years of age, also very set in my ways, but worked this app out quite easily. Despite always having used paper /folders and backing tracks, after only having had this app for about 5 days, I have all my lyrics and backing tracks loaded, scrolling rates set, lyric font size sorted & am ready to perform with it. I can even send our sets to other band members with the Bluetooth. Quite an achievement for me I can assure you. ✓ Excellent, just one reservation.Onsong is an excellent app, allowing easy keychanges, autoscrolling, colour customisation, chords for different instruments (and configurable chords for those that are missing). Synchronisation to your other iOS devices via DropBox is great and the Console feature is brilliant for editing using a browser on a computer. I use the app constantly for performance, over 400 songs in there so far. Being non-religious, the menus for worship songs are a bit irritating, it would be great if these could be removed for those of us who don’t need them. One less star for that..Version: 2019.11

✓ Just buy itI hesitated for a long time, reluctant to spend the money on this app, but after a long frustrating time I bit the bullet and bought it. It has been the best money I have spent, this app is so clever, it is everything I wanted. ✓ Just amazing!I’ve been using OnSong for about 7 years now, and it keeps getting better! It’s not just the most useful/used app I own, but it is also the best supported. Recent changes in iOS14 and to the business model (Premium) may have caused a few glitches which can only be expected in such a sophisticated piece of software but the response of the developers to the issues raised has been nothing short of heroic. No matter how obscure the function, every effort has been made to find a fix quickly. I’m not aware of any other app that has this level of support. Most times if an app has a problem the choices are either to work around or to walk away. Or maybe wait months/years for a fix. The OnSong team are super responsive and more than justify the extra costs of the Pro and premium versions. The online support is also excellent with the developers personally engaged, providing advice to end-users on their social media page. ✓ I am in love with OnSong!!I have been using OnSong for several years and I absolutely love it. I saw a couple of reviews saying there are too many features as if this were a negative thing. You can never have too many features. I would rather have the it and not need it than need it and not have it. This is one of the things I love about this app. It caters to the simplest of demands or to the most techno savvy user without one interfering with the other, so as you progress in your OnSong knowledge and comfort, there always are more features for you to explore. You can create a simple song library for you to browse through as needed, or you can use that same library to create a set list which operates as simple as turning the page of a book. If you want to get fancy you can add a Bluetooth pedal to turn your pages for you while keeping your hands free. You can either share this list or print it for band mates or sound technicians. You can add a scroll, backing tracks, notes, comments, etc. too many for me to mention. I do not typically write reviews, so for me to do so means I feel very strongly about this app. If you are thinking of getting it and you are reading reviews to get reassurance, then stop here, buy OnSong and don’t look back. ✓ IOS 11Many app companies,not least OnSong, have been struggling to deal with the problems of Apples iOS 11 system. After contacting them, they gave me a temporary fix for the live performance problems and expect to have a new OnSong update edition available very soon. ✓ No AppleTV support???Word to the developers really. I love the app and use it often in conjunction with songs select. Are use it when I’m out and about in other churches and hear a song I don’t know. I look it up and added to my list which is really great. I also use it for private and corporate worship. However, no Apple TV support for casting lyrics to a TV screen? Can that be true? Am I missing something? It looks like there is support for chrome cast. But just cannot get it to work with the latest Apple TV and I’ll software. Any suggestions or is that going to be fixed. This is a big feature that needs to be fixed or added..Version: 2018.4
✓ NZ user of OnsongThis is, for me a great app. I have been using it for about 5 years in both practice and live performance situations and it has performed very well. I wouldn't be without it. Initially it took a bit of experimentation to become comfortable with it and its many features but now I use it not only for chord sheets but also to present these in the form of lead sheets. These are invaluable for musicians who are unfamiliar with the song and enable them to play competent backing to them. I have seen a couple of negative reviews of the app but would suggest that many of the perceived problems are from not taking the time to learn and understand. ✓ Best app on my IPad!I am an acoustic guitarist/singer and have used OnSong for a number of years. I play to a lot of the same people (familiar faces) each week and I find it indispensable in helping me to rotate songs from the 1000+ I have stored on my iPad mini, to try and keep things fresh. If I am asked to play a particular song, in general it is there, readily available, scrolling with chords displayed, easy key chord/change, capo position, sticky note reminders, colouring of lyrics to highlight particular lines, words, sections etc. I rely on it so much that if 'it', or my iPad, were to fail then there would be no point in me turning up on the night! The added features of linking it automatically to my Irig Blueboard pedal via Bluetooth is also easy, and if I am using a backing track through Onsong, it starts scrolling automatically when I kick-in the backing track. Storing my backing tracks through Onsong on the same IPad means the amount of gear I need to hump around is reduced as the iPad fits in my guitar case with just a long mini-jack lead required to the PA. I have only touched on a small number of the features available but if I think of another feature that I need it is usually already there in Onsong for me to use. Any app is only as good as its support and the support I have received over the years is second to none, fast, accurate and personable. Best app on my iPad without a doubt!.Version: 1.99998
✓ I never leaves feedback, but...I absolutely love this app! I've been using OnSong since January 2017 and having all my music on my iPad is amazing. It makes it easy to carry around with me and if one of the worship leaders makes a change I can find the relevant song in seconds rather than routing through a heavy, cumbersome folder of nearly 300 songs. It's easy to plan my own sets for Sundays adding songs, removing them and changing the order, as well as add in other leaders keeping everything together and easily accessible. I've set up a folder for each worship leader for their weekly sets so it's easy to keep an eye on what we're doing and ensure we don't use the same songs too often. I love the ability to add post it notes to various sheets with different notes on for individual songs and I still can't believe how easy it is to use with any problems easily solved using the in app help and tutorials My only problem came a few months ago with one of the updates but again I can't praise the in app help enough. On this occasion I actually had to contact OnSong (via the app) for help and was "talked" through what I needed to do via email. Everything was resolved extremely quickly especially given the different time zones! I've tried other set list apps and this really is the best, I can't praise it enough. ✓ First Help needed on 6 Years And They Were ThereThe title says it. I have been using the OnSong app for about 6 years now with no issues. Every service I am using it to run the click for the team, and the pad in the correct key for each song on the set. I have the app connected to a AirTurn BT200S-4 controlling everything I need right from my pedalboard. Super clean, and efficient setup. It just works! I just received a new iPad for Christmas and for some reason I could net get the keyboard to pop up in the app on sticky notes. The keyboard only worked inside the song editor. Being that the keyboard wasn’t working I used my ok’d iPad and went to the communication tab and reached help support that way. Once I reached them the communication was consistent. Within 1 working business day OnSong helped me resolve the issue. The app and the people behind it confirm I am using the correct product for my worship team. ✓ One of the best apps I’ve ever boughtOriginally I bought the app because my friend said he uses it to store his worship music and I needed something to combine all of the chord sheets I’d printed out. First of all, it is great to be able to have all your music in one place and do not have to flip through all that paper. If I want to use paper for any reason, because I’m able to enter and adjust the chords to my liking, all of the chords will be in the same format. No more printing chords from random sites and reading 10 different formats. The features that blew me away though are the ability to change keys and being able to display the chord fingerings. I used to have to print several pages of the same music in different keys to figure out which one works best. Now I can test them all out in an instant. Since I am still trying to get the hang of some of the more complicated chords on keyboard, the chord fingerings is a tremendous help. I also just started learning the guitar and am able to see the fingerings for it for the same music. This app has been a huge help for my music organization and learning process. ✓ Excellent app... it has changed how I play.I’ve been using this app for well over a year now and it continues to amaze me, in fact I just expect it to do what it’s supposed to do. I have a page turner and use this with my iPad. When I travel I always take OnSong. Even if I don’t take my guitar. I have a weekly jam session and I’m able to share my OnSong with the other players live while I control the page turn. When practicing I open console and have it connected to my Mac allowing me to make changes to chords and songs instantly which in turn updates on my iPhone and iPad. ✓ Great AppI have been using OnSong now for 8 months and have really enjoyed the app. My children and I are now using the same song lists when we play together. Lyrics projection and transposing features work really well. I took an old silicon keyboard cover, sowed a few pieces of small foam onto the back and forward keys, and use it as a pedal with a $12 Bluetooth keyboard when I am playing in front of an audience. I work with refugees who use Arabic script and this has worked well although when projecting lyrics the lyrics are always one section ahead for some reason. But I am thankful it works with the Arabic lyrics at all! I would love iCloud sync as I find Google Drive a bit cumbersome. And I would also love to have a guitarlele chord library for traveling as I switch to my guitarlele when traveling internationally. The Songbook app has this feature and so I export to that program when I play guitarlele. But I would love to have that feature in OnSong. Overall great app with easy-to-use features. ✓ OnSong App UserHi my name is Eddie and I have been using OnSong from the very start when I paid $10 for it on my old iPad. Yes there were hiccups every now and then and growing pains but most of the time it was Apple that was the issue. I have highly recommended this app all through the years and I still do now. I use it in a most basic way scrolling lyrics every now and then if necessary and playing my backing tracks which I have either purchased through iTunes or if I purchased or acquired them elsewhere, I load them up through Dropbox. ✓ Very very goodThis is by far and away the is most useful App I have bought for the iPad and have recommended it to all who will listen. Finally the weighty bag of folders has gone! Creating native files can be time consuming and fiddly on the iPad, and I found the console add-on worth the money to edit on a browser on a Mac or PC. The import functions and songselect integrations are (in my opinion) a bit messy and I prefer to stick with native files. Connecting and sharing sets with others is very handy - but occasionally temperamental when trying to find other users..Version: 2019.5

Nice to be able to play song thru app. Can find songs on Internet. Can export in ways (though not GoogleDrive). Good in app organisation. Was worried it was losing my sets but they auto archive after the gig date (whew). Cons: No sync options with desktop. Means everything has to be done on iPad which can be awkward. PLEASE UPDATE your desktop program which seems to be a weird unworkable open source thing. If it IS in fact related to OnSong ?? ✓ It's okayIt's okay, had an issue but a reinstall worked. (Don't forget to backup your songs, there's plenty of options!) Glad I was an early adopter for the prices they charge now. Plus a monthly fee now. I'm not sure I'd buy it for £25/30 which maybe isn't enough as they now charge monthly too for extra features. What it does, it does well. It's really helpful in our group to share song sets and change keys for songs. ✓ IndispensableI’ve been using OnSong for several years both in a band and for solo performances. Don’t know what I’d do without it now. Not only does it manage my repertoire and provide the guitar chords, it can play my backing tracks and scroll in sync with lines in the lyrics. It can also send MIDI messages to my Voicelive Harmonizer and Helix stomp box as soon as I choose a song so that I don’t have to mess around on stage to get my sound right. admittedly, I don’t use half of the features provided. ✓ Just what I was looking forI’ve moved from a sheet music app. Wanted to get more into condensed chord sheets but I also needed the ability to control midi events. This software allows me to do all that. I especially love the console feature which allows be to work on songs on a web browser. I can backup at home and restore on my iPhone and take it away with me. Then reverse the process when I’m back in my studio room. Currently subscribed to premium for a year to see how this all works out for me. ✓ OnSong SupportI am a basic user of OnSong in that I use it for chord charts and I am so impressed with the way it works. I have had very few problems, most of which I could resolve myself using the Manual. On the one occasion I couldn’t the support was superb. the problem I had was on the update when premium came in, I am not a premium user. I lost the drawing tool, which is very useful. It wold not verify on the App Store. To be fair, I think this was more of problem with the App Store, but OnSong support fixed the problem very quickly. Very impressive..Version: 2020.2

✓ This is a MUST HAVE APPThis is a MUST HAVE APP for any musician whether you are a professional or just learning. I have been using OnSong since mid 2010. I was introduced to it by a fellow musician who I have great respect for. He said “buy it and if you’re not happy, I’ll reimburse you for the cost.” Needless to say, I could only thank him. OnSong has so many “make your life easier” features it would take me pages to praise them all. But I will say, OnSong has eliminated the need for me to carry binders full of charts and deal with windy days while performing outdoors. Have you ever shown up to a gig and all of a sudden they let you know that we’re playing in a different key and it’s a complicated piece? Not to worry, OnSong transposes on the fly and with the ability to change font size and color, it’s a whole new world. The Auto Scroll feature tracks the song in real-time and it only takes a second to setup. I use AirTurn so my hands are now free when I need to turn pages and it’s effortless. I also use OnSon Console on my Mac when I am writing or just and to cleanup charts imported from other sources like Ultimate Guitar. I have added hundreds of songs and even custom organized them. I have set lists organized for venue, event, genre etc. If it was any easier, I wouldn’t even need to show up. In short, treat yourself to a totally great experience..Version: 2020.5
✓ Just Wow!!!UPDATE: I am still completely amazed at how OnSong has improved my entire performance. I do not go on stage without it! The best part is I have is set up on an external monitor hidden in a case that looks like an instrument monitor. Nobody knows it is even there which makes me look good :D I bought this so that I could consolidate my chord charts (digital and otherwise). It is just blowing my mind. It can control my lighting for me without even having to touch the screen (I use foot pedals to navigate through my sets). I no longer have to rely on my friend who may have had enjoyed himself a bit more then he should have prior to the performance. I can send charts to those who may be joining me on the stage during the week so that we are all on the same page before we get to the performance. I am ready to start using the Connect feature so that I can have an extra device with me and whoever ends up with me will see everything I am and I can keep my eyes on the crowd and not sending cues to whoever. The best part of this is when I had questions, the OnSong crew actually provided answers and helpful hints that blew me away even more. For some I need lyrics, for some I need the dots, or a mixture of the two. I use it on an iPad Mini 4, which has worked well up to now, though at age 72 maybe I should upgrade to a larger screen. But the usefulness of OnSong is beyond reproach. I have just got back home from an a capella choir session, pretty much sight reading the music. I can’t think of a better program for this kind of professional work. I have a number of different apps, and I use them all. Newzik, Reflow and Notion 6 are all on the pad, and get use. ✓ Great Customer Service App Earned an A+I have used OnSong for three years now with The Gloryland Gospel Singers. I never had a problem with OnSong until I bought the latest iPad, I contacted OnSong customer support, and they promptly responded, within a few days of them knowing my problem, they corrected it with an update. OnSong works great! The problem: The Chord Bar while typing was posted at the top of the screen rather than the bottom, while at the top, if I touched it to enter a previously used chord in the song; it was unresponsive. Now it is at the bottom where it belongs. I want to add, having backed up OnSong to DropBox, it took less than a minute to upload over 300 songs to the new iPad. This is a powerful app, does what it says, and customer service is also GREAT at answering any questions you have in using the app. In addition, they have many well made tutorials to guide you. I strongly suggest you watch the tutorials before beginning to use the app. They also offer conferences during the year in various cities. Everyone in my band now use OnSong and share our charts easily, facilitating practices and quick learning of new materials. ✓ PhenomenolThis in one of those programs i just can't do without. It is now the centrepiece of my whole rig. I used to have folders with 1000s of song all carefully organised and moved around all the time for different gigs and musicians. Once I moved to onsong there was no turning back. And they keep improving it! I have backing tracks and different versions of the songs and they can all live together on the program - even with the same name if I open a new library! For example I have a library for my keyboard gigs and another for my guitar gigs with different versions of the same named songs. I use word files and PDFs as well as OnSong format files for my music so love the flexibility and speed of getting new songs into it. I also keep copies of my partner's songs for her as she is still doing the dinosaur things with the handwritten songs... ✓ Amazing game changing App!We have a band of 3 retired guys who play gigs using backing tracks (for the missing instruments). We previously used OnCue to play the backing tracks and had paper copies of the chord/lyric sheets (we're old, so we need the memory aid!). Onsong has completely changed the way we play. We no longer have abbreviated chord sheets (i.e. Verse - C G7 F, etc., then Verse; Verse; Chorus; etc.) and can play along with the lyrics and chords without having to do mental gymnastics. And it plays our custom backing tracks so we don't need a separate app for that. Really amazing piece of software and well worth the price! Update - A few times there have been issues (bugs) in releases (happens to all software). These guys have been extremely responsive in troubleshooting and fixing the bugs. ✓ Wow! Just Wow!I was an early adopter of iPad-ified music library. It was a tremendous benefit immediately when I did it 5+ years ago. Unfortunately, the company that developed my initial app went out of business before fixing a backup problem that lost about 1/3 of the database if you ever had to restore from iCloud or iTunes. So here I am, years invested in my library of 900+ pieces later and just one hardware glitch away from a disaster. The choice: migrate my library to a new app or go back to notebooks! So I decided to look at the industry leader: OnSong which all my friends (later adopters) now use...and Wow! Wish I had changed sooner. The smart design, the range of features, and really good ideas that have gone into this app are amazing. It works great and my migration isn’t going to be as bad as I thought it would be. ✓ The best thus farLet me start by saying every app has a glitch here and there and every program can force a shut down or freeze on a rare occasion this app has done both but the few negative glitches are far surpassed by the value added to our stage experiences! I have five devices and we love the ease of onsong onstage for transposing and uploading songs on the fly when someone swaps into a chorus from another song. We love that we can sync and control screens and that it has backing pads available. Honestly we are using 20% of the program! There is way more depth and breathe to this program that will scale up with us as we move forward. ✓ Wonderful when it worksThis app has helped our worship team transition to a fully digital format and streamlined my task of arranging the music as well as the lyric projection. I use it to wirelessly control my multi effects via Bluetooth MIDI. Unfortunately, it is not the most reliable, hence, the 4 star rating. We normally have one iPad controlling the other iPads but sometimes, one iPad would lose connection and the musician would have to manually move the screen to the next verse. It would sometimes move to the next song when all we wanted was to select the next verse. If during rehearsal, I change the arrangement to help with the flow, I cannot beam the set again until I close the app and try and try again. ✓ Takes performance to a new levelOnsong offers the solo and small ensemble artist several advantages: 1) chords and lyric without notebooks, music stands, stand lights and wind clips; 2) set lists that are easily editable; and 3) INSTANT transposition of songs to any key (if you’ve bitten the bullet and spend the time to entert the chords in brackets). These three things alone are worth the price. The support via email is within 24 hrs usually, and quite on target. The backup functionality is essential, and I keep backups. Do be sure to go into airplane mode, wifi off, and shut off automatic updates before starting a gig. My big fear is that my iPad will fail, or Onsong will crash (it has not crashed for me on a gig at this point, so I’m confident). Keeping a duplicate iPad would be a solution, but, as a backup, I’ve printed out songs and have them in an emergency notebook just in case. ✓ OnSong is great for keeping all your files togetherUntil I learned about onsong I had word documents stored in folders and I had duplicates up duplicates. My filing system was a mess, my computer crashed a couple times and restorations caused many duplications. The more I tried to clean it up the worse it got. But now with OnSong, everything is in one place, it’s easy to back up and easy to restore. Can’t imagine how I lived this long without it. The program has a few quirks, but nothing that prohibits me from getting my songs and sets together. That’s my favorite part is that I can create as many set list as I want, and then archive them for future use. Therefore I highly recommend this program to any serious musician who is performing, or really anyone who wants to keep their songs organized. There are many more advanced features that I don’t use, such as midi implementation of lights and backup instruments. There many more features that I haven’t even explored yet. ✓ Must have app for Musicians!I use the app in church while playing on our praise and worship team. I digitized our church's entire library of chord charts which consisted of two 3" large ring binders. A lot of work upfront but now everything is on my iPad 4. You can transpose your chord charts on the fly, make up set list,etc. I use the Airturn brand wireless 4 pedal system to hands free scroll up and down the charts, turn pages, move to the next song without missing a beat while playing guitar. I've also used it to project the lyrics onto the screen for the congregation to follow along with the song. I've even taken my iPad and the OnSong app to Guatemala on our annual mission trips. It's so convenient to have literally 1000+ song chord sheet contained on my iPad. It seems I'm adding to my OnSong library constantly. There are many more features included that I don't even use yet. Of all the apps I've ever purchased this was the best $20 I've ever spent. The folks at OnSong are constantly updating this app and their online presence and customer support are the real deal. ✓ Best App for Songs/LyricsThis OnSong app is perfect. I have over 400 songs in my OnSong library and choosing songs is a breeze. You can choose songs "By Key", "Artist", "Topic" or "All Songs". Loading songs into the library has different options. I like to add songs from SongSelect and have them imported into the library database and I also, like to tab songs using a PDF format and then adding them to the library database using iTunes home sharing. This really is a great app for viewing songs/lyrics. My worship team are all using this app and Bluetooth pedals work flawlessly. We have not found a type of pedal that didn't work!! It’s very versatile in what it can do and it’s easy to learn how to make charts that work with the app. I also love being able to control my music with a foot pedal and OnSong makes that easy. ✓ OnSong.I play and teach ukulele and found OnSong a few years ago. The app is remarkably good. It is so versatile. If you play any type of instrument, you need this app. It is easy to down load songs from sites such as Ultimate Guitar and other sites that have songs for download. Once it is in OnSong, you can select the instrument that you wish to play the song on and OnSong will show the chord shapes for that instrument. You can change the key, or if you choose you can edit the song, words or chords and set a scroll time that will scroll the song as you play. I lead a group of ukulele players, who’s attendance ranges from 15 to 30 who all now use the OnSong app. Prior to this app being available I had to print copies of songs for all the players and being that some of the group played a tenor ukulele and a few played left handed, this was a lot of preparation work consuming a lot of time and money. With everyone in the group now having OnSong I can in seconds, send the song to everyone from my iPad to theirs. They can then select the type of ukulele they play and if left handed they can select left handed and the song chords and diagrams will change accordingly. When downloading a song it is not necessary to find the song for your particular instrument, because once in OnSong you can select what instrument you want to play the song on and it will change the song to that instrument. You can also have a backing track, such a karaoke, playing whilst your song scroll’s and you play and sing. The program has a variable beat metronome that you choose to hear if you so wish. If you play an instrument and wish to download songs this app is amazing. I have it on 2 iPads and my iPhone with over 1200 songs..Version: 2020.7.6

✓ Couldn’t manage without this app!I play in a worship band and have been using OnSong for several years now. It has transformed my life as I no longer have to cart cart loads of music around. I also love the fact I can transpose the songs into whatever key the worship leader decides to sing in and also save the sets! So easy. I am still learning, but it is certainly one of the best apps I have! Just wish that I could import PDF’s and then save them into the OnSong format so they can be transposed. ✓ InvaluableI play a lot of live gigs but I am not good at remembering lyrics. OnSong installed on my iPad , along with an AirTurn foot pedal has made my life SO much easier. It is easy to copy and paste the lyrics onto the OnSong app (or type them straight in) and then scroll down the lyrics with the foot pedal as you are playing . If I need a reminder, the lyrics are there at that moment of panic when I can’t remember what the next verse/ line is. Through the years I've written questions sent to OnSong with quick turnaround with answers. The help you get with this app is incredible. I can edit, change keys, add color for easier viewing and send to the other guitarists or print hard copies.
