CoPilot GPS Navigation for Negative User Reviews

WowUpdate - Heading to the US at some point (Coronavirus permitting) and thought I’d check in on any progress with getting what was a good app fixed. - guess not reading these reviews!! Just take it off the App Store if you have no intent to listen to your customers? Don’t hold people in hope? Used to use this app all the time and loved it. Have had some time away from it but thought I’d give it another go. How un-user friendly is this app! Christ everything is hard work! I keep having to log in? Why can’t it remember me? The option is there but no! I need a map of the US but can only refresh a previous European map. Can’t download any others - all greyed out without any reason or instructions. Tried to email support but twice the app hung at the send part of the process. No idea if my help requests sent! You gotta wonder whether app development is done for the users benefit or just to make more money? Back to Waze I guess..Version: 10.14.0.134

Won't start error downloading mapsIPhone 11pro latest ios, refuses to download maps on startup, error='error starting map download' (header_failure) I have an account , the app accepts my login and password says ok goes to map download and throws above error message, have deleted app, restarted iPhone 3 times. used to work fine on my iPhone 6+ help please.Version: 10.26.1.300

A once good app no moreI’ve used this app for around 10 years, always accurate, I swore by it and promoted it to others even purchasing the payed app. In 2019 I was traveling in North and south Carolina and it had a few glitches. I upgraded it to the RV version thinking it would correct the issue but it did not, not only is it wildly inaccurate it had me leaving the interstate to make a u turn and then right back on it for no reason at all. The “rv routing” had me on one lane roads in the middle of nowhere again taking me down a road to make a u turn for no reason and then right back on the road I was already on. I looked at Apple Maps and the routing copilot took me on was almost 100 miles out of the way by the time I had to back track and go the correct rout. I really liked copilot and hate that is changed to a mostly useless app. And yelp for a search engine is useless as well. I have to find what I’m looking for on google and then add the address. I am very disappointed.Version: 10.14.0.536

DisappointedApp is advertised as a tool for pro’s I find ghat compared to the truck driver gps offered by garmin, and Rand , and pc miler, this Copilot app is VERY basic. Missing Many features which an App for truckers should have. Eg: where you’ll be in 11 or14 hrs Rest areas scales along whole current route. Show bridges and tunnels along whole current route Etc etc..Version: 10.11.1.35

Good app but very poor address searchI have been using Copilot for many years and have used it in the UK and in various countries across Europe. It's generally served us well on holiday road trips across much of Western Europe. But what doesn’t work well, and never has, is the app’s ability to find addresses, especially landmarks (major hotels, tourist attractions, etc.). The interface is very clunky and it’s far too hard to find what you’re looking for. Many times I’ve had to google a point of interest to find its address because I just couldn't find it in the app. This is a major problem and the developers need to completely rethink their interface because unless you have a postcode, its far too difficult and verging on unusable. If fact, I’ve now taken to using google maps for navigation, when I have the data, because of this problem. The other problem I encounter is with rerouting. This is also a very clunky process, and definitely not what’s needed when you are forced to use it..Version: 10.4.1.447

Great but..Planning a trip is the weak pointGreat app and really useful but I find the planning of a trip not so easy on this app compared to what’s otherwise available say google maps. The new version has improved trip planning but it needs additional refinements. Get the spelling a little wrong and the app struggles... google spelling option would be great..Version: 10.10.0.535

HcForgot to mention Doesn’t have Australia maps.Version: 10.11.1.80

Really needs updating ....UPDATE: I would love to submit a support ticket as requested but the URL you provide does not work. Could this be why you have issues ?? I have been using this for about a year now. I still have issues. This program definitely needs an update/bug fix. One very annoying failure is the alternative route (found on touching the traffic bar) which does not work at all! Touching the status bar shows a supposedly intitive traffic map for the route planned and being followed - at the foot of that intuitive map is the button that says "Find alternative route" - but it does not work. One asumes the idea of the button is to be able to avoid traffic holdups, but it does nothing. Why is that Co-Pilot ? It always comes up with the same “Copilot cannot find an alternative route” message. It never, ever works out an alternative route. The status bars for traffic, next turn (even when 40 or 50 miles away) are also very intrusive on a phone display, taking up valuable map information even an Iphone 6 which is a quite large display PLEASE sort it out. Fortunately for CP the market leader by a mile dropped support for the TomTom app. Since then, nothing else comes close. The market is wide open for a shrewd App designer..Version: 10.4.1.447

Don’t buy itThis GPS has outdated data - I got stuck twice in Portland because of it as it was trying to make me go on one way streets from the opposite side. Was hoping it would provide the best guidance based on rig height but it can’t even do normal navigation properly so you can’t trust it..Version: 10.26.1.191

Works ok but…I use this daily to drive a rigid beaver tail. The only faults are every time I open the app it says about using basic features, or upgrade. I’m a paid subscriber so it’s annoying, other faults include giving me the odd turn that I have to take a shunt to get around, but can’t blame the app as it didn’t build the roads, and the new updated version they have destroyed the search feature. I use coordinates and used to be able to pop them into the search bar and off I went, now I can’t do that, and even searching postcodes has been messed up. If it wasn’t for the new update destroying the search feature I would have given it 4 or maybe 5 stars as it’s a good app, but now thinking about buying a TomTom expert..Version: 10.19.3.201

Horrible for trucksGPS is always out of date even when it’s updated. Constantly wrong locations, wrong road designations, speed limits, etc… Directions are the worse, example current highway requires a left hand turn to stay on, but GPS says keep left to stay on current highway. This is a constant problem with this app. The exits numbers are correct on the app, but the GPS directions don’t match the road signs. It doesn’t tell you what lane to be in to make an exit or to keep on the highway you have to make a guess and hope you’re correct. It doesn’t actively tell you how far you are from the next town or city on your current route or the nearest truck stop. This is valuable information if you are a truck driver to have when you are out on the road. Over all I would give this GPS an F- it seems like it was developed for a quick buck and not for accuracy or safety of truck drivers or the general public. Do not use this app if the following applies to you. 1. You value your own safety 2. You value your employees safety 3. You value the safety of the general public Trimble is a useless software company and all of their products are cheap and worthless..Version: 10.19.3.201

No CarPlayIf there is no CarPlay then it’s useless in my vehicle. Hopefully an update is on its way..Version: 10.26.0.653

App is unstable and hangAfter installed app, map is not stable, useless app.Version: 10.19.0.1861

Won't work with updateI would give it a 4 or 5 * if the latest update didn't muck it up. Like a similar report I'm in the same situation get it sorted double quick.Version: 9.4.0.170

VicA great App BUT they must provide ongoing updates for New Zealand and Australia!.Version: 9.4.0.170

Very disappointed long time userI wrote a review in June 2019 and actually received a response below my review. Now I can’t find my review. For some reason Co Pilot removed the ability to block highways. When I contacted them through their Support, I was told to simply use waypoints. So here’s an exercise for Co Pilot to test their own App by planning a trip avoiding highways by using waypoints. The route is In Ontario Canada. Starting point is - 130 Simcoe Street, Tillsonburg Ontario Destination is - 925 Woodlawn 925 Woodlawn Road West, Guelph Ontario..Version: 10.11.1.80

DisappointingI’m so disappointed in this app. I was looking for a good app for routing while driving an RV to make sure the roads were passable. This app was expensive for the RV subscription and quite honestly I will probably delete it in favor of Waze or just back to google. It beeps loudly and incessantly for often no reason. It often showed me off road when I was clearly on the road. When I needed it most at an intersection where I could choose several paths it froze completely and came back too late with the path I had chosen against and wanted me to back track to get there. It refused to show me the original path I had planned on. At that point I gave up and pulled out waze. I still can’t believe I wasted $30 on an app I don’t trust and probably won’t use again. Oh and beyond all that, the interface is incredibly non intuitive and hard to program a trip to begin with. Total waste of money..Version: 10.11.1.80

UselessAfter downloading the app you have to create an account, provide email address, create password, then download maps. At this point you discover it is only for Europe and North America! You could have told me that at the start!.Version: 10.19.3.48

It’s Often IncorrectThis gps often shows incorrect street signs, or exit names. I often missed my exit off the expressway because the gps showed something different than what I was looking at in real life. It was very frustrating. It’s just not as accurate and up to date as more popular gps’s. I also didnt like that there wasn’t an option to pause your music or podcast while the turn-by-turn voice spoke. Other gps will do that and this one wont. I also found that it will sometimes randomly redirect you even if you were on the path it told you to be on. It’s just not a great app. I wanted something different than apple maps, but this app is only different in negative ways..Version: 10.7.1.178

Almost A Great GPS But Not QuiteI’ve been testing different kinds of GPS apps available. But there’s one feature I’m looking for which is not available in the settings, the avoid toll feature. This is readily available in others so if you coud add this in the settings then it would be great. On the otherhand, the offline reliablity beats the top perforning app. So if you’re running out of data and in places where there’s barely a signal, this feature helps a lot. Moreover, the display is amazingly colorful which makes it not boring when compared to others. I’ll continue to use it and let you know if there are other problems I can find..Version: 10.4.1.447

Out of dateI have used copilot for many years in its previous form and it really increased my confidence to get out and visit areas of the country I would not have visited before I had it. However the lack of updates on this versions maps, speed limits and even street names in my local area have reduced my confidence in the product to get me anywhere safely. I contacted copilot about speed limits and they asked me to take pictures and send them in. I would have to go full time to correct these errors as it’s not one street it’s whole areas. These speed limit changes didn’t happen last week, they were changed many years ago. The customer should not be asked to sort the product. I don’t mind sending an email to point it out but I don’t work for copilot. Sort it out copilot and I will redo the review..Version: 10.10.0.535

UnreliableI bought this years ago & was annoyed that my purchase didn’t count for anything when it moved to a subscription model. However, I need a reliable GPS on my phone for our RV travels. This isn’t it. On the first trip while using it Copilot directed us down a road that we should never have been on. I don’t blindly follow GPS instructions but neither Apple Maps nor my paper map indicated anything to raise alarms. After we turned into this narrow country road with swamp each side and no shoulders we reached a sign saying that there was no access for vehicles over 1/2 ton or longer than 20 feet. We’re 16 tons and 40 feet and there was no area to turn around. Backing half a mile down a country road to turn back into a busy state highway was great fun. Copilot wouldn’t reroute. It kept telling us to turn back onto that road. The second time, it routed us onto city streets that had low (very low, one was 9’) overpasses. Luckily, I picked up on that before we turned off. Then the app wouldn’t reroute. Third & last time, I ran copilot concurrently with MapQuest, and ran Apple Maps on the iPad alongside. Copilot lost signal and ran around in circles, then tried to turn us around to start the route over. Neither of the others lost our position. Copilot is now uninstalled and I wouldn’t recommend it to any truck or RV driver..Version: 10.11.1.80

CarPlayPlease add CarPlay.Version: 10.11.1.80

Had to downgradeI normally don’t reviews, but in this scenario it’s must for your benefit. This version of the app added an auto renew features, which broke the app, made it completely unusable, because it won’t let us pay for the service. I actually enjoy using this gps service while I’m driving my semi. The solution for me was to downgrade my app to the last version, which was a pain, but it solved the issue. Now Customers love convenience and ease of use, forcing customers to message support to active service is basically shooting yourself in the foot. Creating an avoidable inconvenience and making it difficult for customers to pay just isn’t financially logical. Just downgrade the app from the market till you’re able to resolve this bug..Version: 10.14.0.536

One of the worst integrations into the iOS framework everCo-Pilot will navigate you around low bridges and keep you safe with your truck or RV no doubt. When you manage to load it, it works just fine. But it has to be the worst integration into the Apple ecosystem I own. It’s like a time machine because it takes me back to a decade ago when making stuff work across devices was the preserve of nerds and programmers. It has a licence system that just doesn’t work across multiple devices on one Apple account. It doesn’t even seem to support Apple’s password system. It makes you want to bin it if there was something better. The seamless concept of one ID across multiple devices is lost on these guys who must lice in some nerdy LINUX world or something. If I get into my RV and want to navigate on a device I haven’t used for some time it’s like pulling teeth. If I reinstall it after the winter when I need it it’s painful. I wouldn’t mind if it was cheap. It’s the most expensive app I own! I think the words ‘clunky’ and ‘inconvenient’ were invented by someone trying to use this app in 2021 and if it was face-swap I wouldn’t care, but it has a safety value and it makes staying safe a total challenge!.Version: 10.19.0.1355

Support???Trying to get European maps as stated on their website. It doesn’t work. Trying to log into my account on their website. Again it doesn’t work. There’s no support contact number. Routing is ok like any other navigation provider. The only thing I really like is how fast it calculates and optimizes routes. But $159.99/year is a steep cost especially with no support..Version: 10.19.3.48

Downgrade due to Privacy concernsIt’s not as good at routing as Apple Maps but privacy is important to me so I rated this app with five stars in the past as it didn’t track. I liked how they used their own maps instead of Google or Apple. The app does use Yelp but only when searching for POI. I use the app with information sharing off. Unfortunately, I am lowering my rating due to the app sharing data with Google, Facebook and Yahoo. If my data is going to be shared with these companies then there really is no reason to use the app since it’s routing is less accurate than the big guys. Regarding the developers response. I have been using the app a lot less due to privacy concerns. So were I still a regular user and fan the numbers would be a lot higher. I just checked the privacy report. There have been 9 connections to Google, 7 to Microsoft, 7 to Yahoo and 1 to Facebook. 🤔.Version: 10.19.0.1861

Still no importThere is still no way to import gpx files into this app This has been requested for many years A simple use of the iOS “ open in” would probably achieve this but for some reason they just won’t implement it Makes this app virtually useless for my use case Why do they just ignore such a simple thing.Version: 10.7.1.178

"She" doesn't shut up!...not even for a sec... gives you directions even 5/6 Kms before you actually have to do anything, and repeatedly inform you on what/where/why/if do an action! Annoying and, most importantly, extremely distracting..Version: 10.0.0.936

Won’t reinstate maps ! And then closes support ticket with no response!Been using this since 2009 and it’s a good app, provides waypoint planning which most don’t. However, just updated my phone and it lost my Europe maps. Due to buying it years ago, I don’t have receipt, but they won’t reinstate the maps even with a screenshot of my old phone - very disappointed. Response to developer - I already tried that, I did change my Apple ID email, but they searched that. But even a screenshot would not convince them I had Europe maps.. surely you have logs that I downloaded the maps in the past.. I can give dates that I did. Update : after asking me to open a ticket, no response, so I check and it’s marked closed with no comments.. REALLY bad customer service ALK - I DO NOT recommend this app any more :(.Version: 10.4.1.447

Increasing disappointmentI wanted to make sure I use this app for longer than a year before I gave a review. I have taken 7x 12hr + plus trips and countless 2 to 8hr trips. The app has frozen on every trip involving my RV multiple times. I shouldn’t have to do a hard reset every time at random times during my trip. ilThe app has taking me down gravel roads and small neighborhood taking me off of main road just to get back on the main road, it has added an hour plus drive time due to its inner difficulties that I could not control or would have had to micromanage the trip as it was a in progress. Save your money and stress and find another app that utilizes rv towing.Version: 10.19.0.1355

Truck sat navBasically good with getting you to the postcode/destination, roads I found were similar colours which made me miss a couple of turnings. The worst bit for me was that I was in an area I didn’t know way off in the country side at night and directed me away from my destination heading back down country to an area near me that I know but instead of picking the most sensible route for my truck (44 ton) artic, it sent me across countryside which included a small town. When I got to said town it started warning me it was a 71/2 ton weight limit! WHY DID IT PICK THAT ROUTE? Obviously not really a full truck sat nav. Their was a couple of other routing issues, so I wasn’t convinced. I tried the trial period which was fare and glad I didn’t pay. Possibly okay for a second navigation if you need it!.Version: 10.14.0.134

Back to be great againI've been using this app for at least 7 years now and drove with it all across North America many times. It's my #1 in navigation. Previous update wasn't very nice and now it's the old good Copilot again with a few new features. The app is very responsive now. Thanks a lot. After it became by subscription, I stopped using it. Removed and will never come to it again. It is not enough that PC Miler robes drivers of their miles, now I’d need to pay for it on top? Thanks, but never!.Version: 10.19.0.1861

Needs a proper routing algorithm/UI updateCoPilot has served me well for years. Has taken me all across Europe and Australia. It’s fine if the route is fairly straightforward. If you hit traffic or are in a high density road area, you’d best use Google Maps. On many occasions it takes you off at an off-ramp only to take you back onto the same road at the on-ramp. 3 times in the same trip yesterday. Hard to work out why. It can’t be shorter, quicker or more convenient. But if you’re trying to work around an area, every time you view the new route, it recalculates. So you can Settle on a route, drive towards a junction, by which time it has decided to take you another way or even turn you around. If you see an obvious way around and select “route through here”, unless you select the right side of the road, it will drive you 30 miles in the wrong direction and bring you back on that side of the road, then try to turn you back around to resume your journey. Bonkers. Routing algorithm needs updating and a new methodology/UI for routing coz trying to navigate a way around an area is pretty much unusable at the moment. I’ll soldier on when I’m in the truck … but for the car/van, it’ll have to go for now. Come on CoPilot, don’t get left behind!.Version: 10.26.1.300

Piece of crapDo not waste your money on purchasing this app for off line use this app does not work off line nor for not for navigation no voice, not for traffic, this app sucks.Version: 10.7.1.178

Was good, but features have been removedI bought this a few years ago and have always liked it. However when towing a caravan, I’d change driving profile so that I dong get caught out with narrow roads. I haven’t used to towing/motor home feature for a while. Now I discover they’ve removed it and turned it into a subscription based feature. ...that’s corporate greed for you! I think the original co-pilot gps app from years ago was awesome. And much easier to use. It’s a big shame. Yet I guess the developers will argue how much better and more features it has. ...but I guess if I owned the company I’d try to get more money with subscriptions too! 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻 I think I’ll head back to my other apps. At least I can select ‘motorhome’ as a navigation option..Version: 10.11.1.80

Hot garbageFor an app that charges money for RV navigation, this is impressive hot garbage. First, the points of interest - I’m just checking this in Winnemucca, NV right off I-80. I’m missing the RV park that I’m currently in while testing, and worse, both the Flying J and Pilot stations are just not there. Non existent restaurants, restaurants which have been here for years, missing... The clunky 4 year old interface does not scale to iPhone 11 Pro Max? Are you kidding me? It’s called Xcode and Swift. Maybe your programmers should explore that someday. And let’s get to the grand fallacy - no CarPlay support. The last thing on their website is from 2018 saying they were looking at it. It’s been 2 years, folks! That’s inexcusable. I’m towing with a Ford, and it’s had CarPlay for at least three years back... I’m not giving that up. I’m sticking with Apple Maps and maybe Truck Maps while anywhere near Delaware and their weird tunnel restrictions. So to summarize- hot garbage, ancient non-updated interface, wildly inaccurate POI to the point of being inexcusable for anyone wanting to use this with a truck or an RV with a Good Sam membership, no CarPlay. Aaaaand, deleted app..Version: 10.19.0.1355

This thing almost killed us!!!If I could give it negative rating I would . This guided us into a closed road with our 45 ft motor home and 25 ft trailer. A very narrow rd. There was also a rr track paralleling the rd and a few trains came along while we were trying to figure out what to do. Tried to back up into a rd that was crossing the track but it was uphill and we were blocking traffic as well as it would have left the trailer on the tracks if a train came along as there wasn’t a long distance and was onto the tracks as well. There was a narrow driveway with a ditch on both sides ahead and only because my husband has experience with tractors with trailers was he able to back in and get us out of there. If he had not been as experienced as he was we would have had to pay for a tow out of there, they would have had to unhook the trailer with the car and tow the motor home backwards then we would have had to have the trailer turned around and towed it back to the motor home to be hooked back up. After we did get ourselves out of there the app kept trying to reroute us back at which time we turned it off and guessed our way out of the town and back to the interstate. This took place because we relied on it to go from the campground we were at to the interstate. I am on a trial for this app and nowhere can I find out how to opt out so before you start your trial period find out how to get out of it first..Version: 10.11.1.10

App could definitely do with some updatesThank you firstly because for a while this has been a good alternative to many other SatNav’s. But by now you’d think there’d be so many improvements to the app for the amount of money it costs. 1. There are still issues with finding POIs. 2. The online search powered by yelp is next to useless as it cannot find even common landmarks in my area. 3. Planning doesn’t allow one to choose a preferred route at times. For example I can be driving to London and I know that M1 is blocked, the app won’t automatically put a route via M40 for example so I can see that alternative route. 4. It’s meant to be offline maps but sometimes the app doesn’t load if I have no internet connection 🤷‍♂️. 5. These are only a few of I’m sure many issues that other customers are experiencing. Regardless I still feel Copilot has such a potential to be the best SatNav yet. Please address some of the issues and make some new features available and not just stability improvements all the time. I almost dread to update my app cause I know it’s mostly going to be some small tweak or stability improvement. Thank you.Version: 10.11.1.80

CancelWhy do you make it so impossibly hard to cancel a trip? The only way to stop is to go into IPhone settings and turn off the GPS chip. Really guys, does it have to be so hard? How about a simple cancel? I still have NO idea how to cancel once it gets going..Version: 10.4.1.447

Needs Apple Carplay SupportI love Copilot for its accuracy and functionality but the lack of carplay support is a dealbreaker for me. Google Maps, Waze, Sygic, TomTom Go have carplay support there are also a number of smaller firms that have carplay support as well. As soon as carplay support is added, I will most def use CoPilot but for now, I have a selection of other apps that fill the void.Version: 10.26.1.300

Only US and Europe mapsResearching for a bus navigation app that specifically works in Australia and CoPilot sponsored ads are at the top every search result. So download the app and sign up, only for it to say choose between North America or Europe maps only 🙄.Version: 10.26.1.300

Used to be great, now extremely poor!I haves used and recommended this app for years. It used to excellent and still has, I believe, the best looking maps of any sat nav app, however bit by bit of recent years they have removed functionality and made the app considerably worse: - Yelp replaced Google as the search engine. Awful! - Vehicle profiles removed, so can’t customise routing engine to you desired road and speed preferences (this was a stand out differentiator between copilot and its competitors) - Latest routing engine SIGNIFICANTLY over estimates journey time, making the ETA absurd and therefore route selection impossible. - After YEARS of saying they “are working on it”, they still haven’t included the frankly ESSENTIAL ability to import routes (either by using iOS ‘Open In’ feature or by direct transfer through iTunes). - I could go on and on about how “improvements” have only made the app worse but the developer won’t listen and nothing will change, so what is the point! Simply put, this app could be the best out there but it isn’t and they keep making it worse. Don’t buy it. Save yourself the money and frustration!.Version: 10.11.1.35

DisappointingI have been using the free version of this app for 6 years. Had over 300 saved addresses across Canada and the US including Hawaii. Also has the option of changing profiles for my own car and RV. After recommending this app to anyone who listen I am left with a map that I can scroll through and change the colours (oh wow does it come with crayons too?) All my saved information is gone, can not search an address or even a category such as gas stations. You don’t pay, you get an app that is basically an empty paper map..Version: 10.11.1.35

Terrible EXPERIENCEI have this app specifically for when we travel with our RV and haul our Toyota Camry behind. This directed us down gravel roads with turns so tight, the front end of my Toyota is a mess from the dolly being jack knifed, causing the front end of my brand new car to hit the back of my RV. This is unacceptable. If I could score this app lower than a 1, I would. I am attempting contact customer support with no success. Not only did I literally put my family’s lives in danger at the dangerous road conditions through a gravel road in the Smoky Mountains, but my brand new car is smashed. I had my car type and length in the app, but that did not matter. I can not explain how terrible this trip was. I would NOT recommend this app and in fact will now have to pay quite a lot to fix my car. Ridiculous..Version: 10.11.1.80

Works amazing but.. ( CarPlay feature )Very very disappointed to hear that CoPilot will not make Carplay CoPilot navigation. Very very sad! Sorry I will not renew my subscription. Edit review 2: still waiting for any word are you guys gonna support CarPlay?.Version: 10.19.3.201

Don’t get fouledSend me 40% in street where truck doesn’t belong there. Struggle to point the right adresse so always double check with google maps or apple maps. Ask me to do u turn in a 2 lane road with a 53’ trailler. it’s cheep for a beginning device. Save money and buy something suitable for truck drivers..Version: 10.19.0.1291

Tunnel BoringJust tried to plan a trip to olympic park mri in melbourne. It took me to the tunnel under the practice and apparently expected me to park in the tunnel and bore my way out. App is being deleted as we speak..Version: 10.4.1.447

Decent app hidden behind a nightmare interfaceCoPilot caches the maps so this will work whether you have internet / mobile phone signal or not, assuming your phone has GPS :) The searching has improved but it’s still pretty bad. Say you want to take some old junk to the nearest local council tip, searching for “tip” gave me a whole page of identical entries for a National Park 25 miles away! Searching for council tip, tidy tip or recycling centre failed. There is the ability to search online but that just showed me local takeaways. When you’re in your car ready to go, the last thing you want is to spend 10 minutes faffing around with the search. Once you’ve found the place you want to go to (by using google or whatever) then things work reasonably well but this still falls seriously short and I’m not sure why I still have it installed..Version: 10.4.1.447

Used to have the Caravan partHaving paid for a lifetime version which included a Caravan/Motorhome profile I was more than happy with Copilot. Ok any GPS system may give strange routing from time to time but you need to get into the habit of reviewing the route before the journey and change as necessary. THEN there was a major change....suddenly the Caravan/Motorhome profile disappeared and what was introduced was a subscription profile that allowed you to specific dimensions of the Caravan or Motorhome. I was more than happy with what I had paid for originally....ok I couldn’t enter my Motorhome dimensions but the suggested routing worked reasonably well. So I complained and after numerous to and fro correspondence they gave me the new subscription based Caravan/Motorhome for free. Guess what, it lasted for a few months and then stupid me changed my email address and guess what the Caravan/Motorhome profile disappeared again. After contacting Copilot or Trimble (as is the current owner) again to get it back, and after proving they had given it back once already they refused to give it back and said I had to subscribe to it. The original version was perfectly adequate for my needs, the newer version may be better, but why do I have to pay again for something I have already paid for and was quite happy with. Trading Standards will be contacted, as this is surely not ethical....I will be taking this further.....Version: 10.14.0.536

Needs WorkI made the purchase and literally canceled the very next day. I was still charged for the year subscription. However, what I didn’t like is that it’s not compatible with Apple Car Play which is a must these days. The second thing I didn’t like is that it took me on a road that was closed due to construction and once I passed my turned due to detour it kept rerouting me through small streets that I didn’t take because my RV is too big for those turns. So I had to go back to google maps. I mainly downloaded it so I can plug my RV height and width and get routes that my RV could go on but if it doesn’t recognize closed roads and it’s not compatible with Car Play really not worth it. Another problem I encountered is my RV is 13’6” and it would not accept those exact measurements even though it has the boxes asking for exact height so I had to put 14ft to be safe but that means I may be missing on a shorter route due to improper height on app. Was thinking of asking for a refund but not sure it’s worth the hassle..Version: 10.19.0.1355

DisappointedHad read some good reviews but in general have been disappointed with the interface of the app and poor location choices for searches over months we have had the app. St Augustine Florida does not populate as a search choice, for example, (either when trying to plan a route from New England. Any “web” search is just a yelp handcuff. The routing has been good through the tricky parts of CT, NJ and NY pikes, but that is not enough to overcome the inability to give a reasonable destination for initial route planning or when changing a destination on the fly. It would have warranted 4 stars if it were a lower cost subscription or was free. Not likely to renew the subscription..Version: 10.14.0.134

Made a good app worthlessI have used the app for years for car and motorhome including touring Europe. Forced to upgrade only to find motorhome RV functionality removed. Contacted support to be told to delete the app and reinstall with a new Id which would give me 2 weeks functionality. I have already previously subscribed to active traffic back in October before the update. Now support keep telling me there is an RV function I need to select. There isn’t one only truck and caravan and no option to add my active traffic as it’s using a different id. If I select caravan then it just tells me the free trial has expired despite creating a new Id as advised by support. Now the app wants £25 for Carvan plus traffic. I already have active traffic and want RV. What should be a really good update has been ruined by poorly communicated functionality and support staff do not seem to understand the functionality of the app or it’s features. Now at the point of asking for my money back. Lots of potential for this to be a good app, but because of the poor communication I feel like a lot of customers. if I leave I won’t be back. If you’re new to the app or only require basic car then it probably still worth looking at. If your an existing customer the experience has been ruined by very poor communication and support..Version: 10.10.0.535

Horrible customer service.Right now the app will only allow for a rv height of 13 feet, my trailer is 13 foot 4 inches. Bought the app last year and they said it would be fixed on next update and a year later same problem. Trying to get my money back is like pulling teeth.Version: 10.19.0.1355

Bad incentive to purchaseI used Copilot for years for my delivery route thanks to its offline maps and multi-stop optimization abilities. But it was littered with so many bugs and errors that I waited and waited for a fix update before committing to purchase. Now, they have taken a big step backwards and made their faulty product unusable without a subscription purchase. Very bad decision making. Go with an alternate app..Version: 10.11.1.197

Fix issues for AustraliaHi I have downloaded the app but its forcing to use one of the two option europe or north america is this app not for Australia routes ? If not fine. If yes why there is no option to select australia ? And it’s mention once i select 1 of the 2 options which is not for me i can’t change it back at all. Any truckies from Australia have suggestions ?.Version: 10.19.0.1291

Used to love this appI have used and bragged about copilot to my friends for years. However, this recent up grade is terrible. Not only was I forced to upgrade just when I needed to use the app off line, the conversion was complex and I had to re-enter all of my favorites individually as they would not transfer over. Then, and only then, did to learn that the find feature to access my favorites and other items is now a “premium”. Such a basic function now with the premium cost. Ugggg. Now, just went to upgrade, so I could use the search feature. Only upgrade includes online access. The best feature of copilot was being able to navigate off-line. If I wanted to be online and burning through data why use this when Google maps and other online services are available. I think I’m done with copilot. Very sad..Version: 10.10.0.535

Password managementPassword management is terrible. It’s not the first time this is been difficult. specifically I have three devices two iPads and one iPhone. The iPhone and the iPad will logon automatically with my thumbprint. The iPad Pro 11 inch will not allow me to logon with the existing password nor will it allow me to change the password not that I want to. The password that is being used for both the devices that currently work are not consistent with theRequirements that your website currently states four characters required to make it a valid password. I hope you can shed some light on this,Oh and by the way I’m trying to submit this and it wants me to find a nickname that will work for me and of course all I get back as iMessages is that that nickname was taken so I got to sit here and sort for nicknames just so I can get help from you people.Version: 10.14.0.536

A campervan test that failedJust tried this app in France, after being sent on a precipitous one lane road in my campervan by Google Maps (don’t get me started!!!). Unfortunately, even with my 7m van loaded into the app, and main roads chosen as the roads of choice, this app sent me along the same one lane route. And this was despite the fact that there was a good, two lane D road that led right to the destination. Clearly I am not impressed..Version: 10.26.1.300

Not good!I've unfortunately been using this app for three years because when they update the app I feel like it gets better before it gets worse. I don't know why I'm paying ten bucks a month for this app. The roads don't update very often and the app will try to take me down cemetery roads and non existent roads. It also constantly tries to bring me down one way streets and no truck roads. If your going to use this app you have to constantly look at your phone to make sure it's not screwing you into a ticket. On top of all this the app will randomly freeze and you'll have to restart it. Most times you don't realize it froze until you've gone way past your turn. Find another truck gps app!.Version: 10.19.0.1355

Still no CarPlay supportHow is it 2022 and this app still does not support CarPlay? Many other GPS apps do by now..Version: 10.19.3.201

Not good for motorhomeI have been using the caravan version for the trial period with our motorhome through France and Spain. Different forums I have read and belong to have mentioned this last version is not as good as earlier ones. The facility to avoid small roads is not present and the focus is on short or fast routes no matter what size of motorhome you are driving. We entered 5ton weight, 8m length and 2.4m width but despite this it seems to ignore. ETA is totally unrealistic as I cannot drive around at MMA speed so eta keeps increasing as we progress along. The main reason why I will not purchase after the trial or recommend this is it insists on routing me down single track or unsuitable roads or through small villages when there is no reason to do so. Yesterday in Spain it wanted me to turn down a small side road which I wouldn’t have been able to do, so we ignored it and continued straight to a much larger turn a few metres down the road. Why it couldn’t have chosen that route i don’t know. It then insisted I go down a road limited to 3.5t when I clearly inputted my 5ton weight and dimensions..Version: 10.11.1.197

Used to…….Update 28th May 2022 After receiving an invite to put my points to Copilot directly, I did so and got a response that couldn’t have been any more predictable. Lots of talk trying to justify their actions and plugging the newer apps. No focus at all on the negative impact on me that occurred. Surely legacy users should retain the features they have paid for and not be forced to buy it again to retain them. As such, I’m convinced Copilot/Trimble will not change, so my original recommendations stay in place. Don’t waste your money on Copilot, use either Google Maps / Apple Maps if you want a free one or TomTom if you’re prepared to pay some money. Has all the features you want plus full CarPlay support. ********************************************** “Used to…..” is probably the key phrase in describing copilot these days. Used to…… be the best in the AppStore Used to…… be good Used to…… be my go to app for nav Used to…… support RV profile in the version I had. Used to…… Used to…… Used to…… I can only describe it in past tense these days and unfortunately negatively. Don’t waste your money on this app anymore. you’ll be better with either Google Maps if you want a free one or the TomTom app if you’re prepared to pay a subscription. Last time I checked, Copilot have no plans to even support Apple CarPlay..Version: 10.19.3.48

For planning not to travelOthers have commented that Copilot struggles to find addresses. I'd go further. With businesses seeking customers Copilot is missing an advertising trick and charging us money that ads revenue would dwarf and give us better data. The planning of multiple stop journeys is very competent if clunky with too many steps to add a stop. The navigation is trumped by other packages. I found I was later arriving than colleagues on the same journey, making them wait for me. Saving trips doesn't use recognised file systems like one drive on my iPhone so I can't edit a day easily when it changes or share it with colleagues as I can with other navigation apps. That means being restricted to steps which they can't use. It's also hard to see actual speed and limits which are wrong too often. If the only improvement is to automate grabbing our money at renewal you're not listening. If you are, you should merge with What3words and TomTom. I need lots of bits from all three to work most effectively..Version: 10.14.0.536

Disturbing and distracting but not helpingTried it for a few days in London. I thought it was absolutely free but the full version cost £14/year. I wouldn’t use it even if it was free. The 3D ability is more like stucked in between 2D and 3D... not too pleasant. The displayed info and the navigation aid tools are very confusing thus more distracting than helping. On a 4 mile section of the road it missed 3 speed cameras. Can’t change the warning sound for camera alerts. When it approaches the cameras it doesn’t show the actual camera on the map or very occasionally or just the red light cameras but not the speed cameras. Sygic is a day and night difference and far better than Copilot. Sygic charges only £18 one off for lifetime world map. I’m not saying Sygic is perfect because it also has some issues but it should make Copilot developers think what to do in the future to stay in the game. The other alternative is TomTom app which is a solid brand in the industry. They charge similar amount to Copilot on an annual basis. There’s no question which one to choose... I just simply deleted Copilot. Sorry guys but you have to put some serious efforts to catch up with the competition..Version: 10.14.0.134

Need to fixThis app is great until last update. I use this very often but last update kills the app. Please fix the issue, its not working in Australia properly..Version: 10.11.1.10

Could be betterFirst time trying Co-Pilot and I was surprised however there are bad points but starting with the positives which the navigation visuals are clear and pretty much spot on when navigating and when wanting to recalculate it is almost instant. The dislikes of this app are pretty much due to some simple features being behind a pay wall for example voice navigation... since you need to pay to get this feature it means I have less eyes on the road and more eyes on my phone which is an accident waiting to happen. Google maps and Here we go both have these features for free. The address search could do Some work. Unless you know the exact address then finding places on the go is difficult like looking for fuel or shops. I know there is a section for that however it only took me to the closest ones.Version: 10.4.1.447

MapsVery disappointed to see there are no maps for Australia.Version: 10.19.0.1861

Not reliable. Got me into troubleIt seems they aren’t updating this app accurately. To start I was experiencing several incidences where this app did not recognize the address I entered and would give me another option nearby. But I could accept this, however there were several times using this app that it would freeze and not update. And unless I was paying attention I could have missed a turn or something important. In order to overcome the freeze I would have to force close the app and reopen/ load it. That’s a concerning issue with regards to confidence of the product. But my topper to canceling my subscription and deleting the app was the directions it gave me to get on the freeway to other night, it instructed me to turn left so I was in the left lane pulling 70’ of Coach and trailer . It wasn’t till I neared the point where there should have been a left turn lane that I realized the app is wrong and I was supposed to have been on the right side of the road 3 lanes over to a helix on-ramp. And it became clear this on-ramp system had been there for many many years. I was left with having to navigate through small streets and come back around. For me, A subscription based app focused on trust for driving directions, it was a fail on a gargantuan level. No go for me Copilot. You aren’t worthy..Version: 10.19.0.1355

Way too expensiveAre they smoking crack?? Are they crazy charging so much? I used it when it was free but refuse to pay their ridiculously high price. I’ll use my Garmin..Version: 10.19.3.201

Inaccurate and dangerous to use!We bought this for a road trip up the east coast since they tend to have low bridges and we were pulling a 44’ toy hauler. Despite knowing the length and height of our rv we were constantly taken off roads and put into situations that were very stressful and hard to navigate. We were even taken off of the toll parkway and then taken right back on requiring us to pay the $40 toll TWICE! I was navigated you take car only roads, off and back on the same roads multiple times, ridiculous! This app was extremely dangerous due to it not being able to go on our CarPlay. I often felt like I was blindly driving since it wasn’t safe to look down at this app. I ended up putting google on the car so I had some sort of direction. I’m super disappointed in this app. It did warn us of low bridges, otherwise it just added tons of unnecessary stress and cost us money!.Version: 10.19.0.1355

Truck routesHow in the world are you supposed to buy the truck version? When I click on the truck app it opens up CopPilot and nothing happens. I really need this but I'm going in circles here.....Version: 10.11.1.197

Good and BadThis app is so much more flexible than the other gps apps I’ve used! I love that I can control the look of the app, set my preferences, easily change routes, etc. HOWEVER, I don’t like that the routing instructions are frequently wrong and sometimes even dangerous! Yesterday in Philadelphia, it told me to take several turns that were the wrong way on one way streets. Then it tried to get me to drive past my exit, go a mile, make a u-turn and go back to my exit! When I ignored it and just took my exit, it kept trying to route me back until I got 10 miles up the road - then it gave up. I am using the latest version of the app and the latest update of the maps. In summary, love the app most of the time but very frustrated with some of the routing instructions..Version: 10.7.1.178

Useless after recent updatedUseless and waste of money. Not recommend please do not download this app. Unable to load street numbers in most of the Sydney areas now. Please fix this developer this app..Version: 10.11.1.10

Nowhere near TomTomHave had high expectations of this app. Sadly, it is a major disappointment. 1. App can lock any time. On an iPhone it is a complete bugger because you manually need to swipe it out to then return to it to take you to point of destination. Obviously, this is barely convenient when it locks before you need to take an exit or make a crucial turn. I have wasted planet of journey time due to that. TomTom has never had this problem. 2. Rerouting hardly ever happens. Even if you take an alternative route, CP still takes you the one it has selected. 3. No chance to discuss issues over the phone. Customer service quite rightly avoid any contact due to issue no. 1 detailed above. 4. Despite having a traffic add-on (paid), the app would not detect closed roads on numerous occasions. Don’t need to tell you how brilliant of a feature this is! I’d go back to using TomTom within seconds, but they’ve stopped their iPhone app. I had used TT for about 3/4 years. With CP for 2+, but doubt I will keep it for any longer. P PS. App update performed less then a week ago; app locking was meant to be sorted. As I realised today, it was not after app locked yet again. By the way, the phone is brand new and was purchased 5 December, so no chance the device is weak. CoPilot is though. If zero stars was an option, that’s what they’d get..Version: 10.19.0.1861

Pointless! Updated July 19Downgraded to 1 star from 2. So after being contacted by Copilot after my review (below) they asked for my route so they could test it (6 months after I did the route! Pointless!) Oh yes it’s the map and you asked it to do the shortest route not quickest (no I didn’t) which it did. No it didn’t, it took me on a circular route around Newcastle instead of straight down the A1. Apparently I need to update my map (which was up to date at the time) Any excuse not to issue a refund. Thanks but I’ll stick to my new TomTom. I can’t believe I was daft enough to pay for this. I had an ordinary TomTom that I used with my Motorhome (an 8.6m TAG) and it hadn’t really let me down but I wanted something to avoid the chance of going down an unsuitable road. What a waste of money! The first trip out up the A1 to Berwick I ran it alongside my TomTom and it was continually trying to get me to leave the A1. In fact on the way back we followed its instructions only for it to send us on an 8 mile detour through Newcastle centre (def not suitable) and then bring us back on to the A1 in almost the same place we left it!! I have now paid £300 for a TomTom Camper and I’m well pleased with it..Version: 10.11.1.80

Bad updateI’ve been happily using copilot for the last 6 years and having just been prompted to change from the old UK-IE app to this one as they’ll no longer be updating it, after signing back in with my account my licence has apparently changed and I can no longer access UK maps, only the Iberia maps. It’s telling me those are the only maps I’m now licensed for. I’ve reset to factory settings, restored the licence through the app and deleted and reinstalled the app several times but it doesn’t seem to change anything. I also don’t seem to have the option to even buy the UK maps back without buying all of the European maps at once. I have never bought the Iberia maps and having only recently upgraded and paid for the traffic alerts in the last month I’m very disappointed with this turn of events and hope it will be resolved soon..Version: 10.7.1.178

BECOME WORSE AFTER THE LATEST UPDATEUnable to load street numbers in most of the areas in south Australia.. AFTER THE LAST UPDATE.Version: 10.11.1.10

Not badOver all its good. Only issues really annoying is when you pick a route and instead of stick with it gos trying to all the time take you through some kind of highways just to bring you to same interstate 10 miles down the road. Or it keeps wanting for you to take exit just so you can go back right on interstate. Some of the routes its splits for example instead of just keep i95 to go to fl it keeps wanting to take 95 then bunch of different highways just so you can get back to i 95 later traffic alert not that great at all and when they doing construction it tells you that interstate is closed completely and trying to reroute you.Version: 10.11.1.197

Outdated and UselessI paid £25 for this as recommended via a couple of websites. I’ve since been back to these sites and they have now changed to not recommended due to an update. Says app hasn’t been updated for 9 months so who knows. Anyway save your money. Only finds first 4 digits of a postcode which is shocking when the likes of Apple Maps and Google which are free find locations to a pinpoint accuracy. First time I used the app it took me 3 miles further than the sign posts and then down a hill which was 1 in 4 / 25% gradient. The idea of the app is that it is supposed to take you down a safer and suitable route for a large vehicle. This took me the worst way possible. To say I was sh*****g myself was an understatement. And yes I should have turned around but there was nowhere to. Since then I haven’t been able to use it as the GPS is too erratic. Tried it on two phones and also an iPad Pro. Such a shocking app. So if anyone is reading this save your money and use Google Maps or Apple Maps and just avoid the routes which state unsuitable for heavy vehicles. Either that or buy a designated sat nav. If a developer is reading this then shame on you for charging for this very bad app..Version: 10.19.0.1355

Fails on renewalGreat app for trucks, every setting can be changed depending on the vehicle. Save regular location. Isn’t easy to find places but use Google maps to find it first then put it in copilot. Two downsides are, it regularly sends you past a left to turn you round and turn right instead!!! It can also send you up a slip and back down on to the same road. Sometimes you don’t notice it’s wrong!!!! The main problem is with renewal, if you buy monthly it will not renew, the only way is to back up and reinstall. The company doesn’t know why! Annoying if you have a poor signal or if it happens mid journey!!!.Version: 10.19.0.1355

Good app26 March 2019 Maps out if date POI (points of interests) out if date. The whole app is pointless. Just use google maps. At least its constantly updated and correct unlike this mess that “might” get updated. Update 28 April 2018 Downgraded star to one! Getting multiple emails sent (developer response emails) from Apple or ALK about last review. Sick of getting these multiple emails. Either ALK is trying to push me for a better review or Apple has a problem somewhere And in response to developer—— Map updates should be more than twice a year! Update 8 April 2018 New interface is confusing No map updates for ages. Sent through reading changes last year and still not amended on any map updates. Don’t hold your breathe! Has nice layout and I find it easy to load routes or navigate to saved favourites. Only problem is it always loads in 3D mode and I have to change it back to 2D. I prefer the 2D mode but it doesn't seem to want to save this setting on the iPad Air 2. It does on my old iPad 2. ????? I've deleted reinstalled many times and CoPilot staff trying to solve it. Nice clear maps but they do seem slight out of date or at least aren't updated very regularly. Plenty of different options for navigating and settings to change and voices (no celebrity) to download. Overall a good gps tool. Nice to have one app that you can download maps into instead of having multiple apps.Version: 10.10.0.535

A good app, but terrible support!I’ve been using the app for about a year and it has never issued a bad instruction. It’s multiple route to choose from and the traffic features are a real winners. The problem comes when you try to reach someone at the developer for tech support. They are slow to respond, don’t answer your question and leave you high and dry. My subscription is still with in the one year I paid for, but the app is back to basic mode and asking me to pay again. A simply fix for them, you’d think, but no. It’s been 3 days and now the weekend is here and I have no option but to repurchase something for which I’ve already paid. I rely on this app to assist me in safely and reliably doing my job and have communicated that to them, but have been ignored. So buy this app with the knowledge that you may be on your own. Same problem again!! Absolute rubbish support!!!.Version: 10.19.0.1355

No longer a truck app !25 years. I’ve started with pc miler by ALK then came co-pilot I used on the laptop. Then finally the phone app. I ran Rand Mc. along side Co-pilot and would laugh at how Rand was trying to route me through cities and town to get to my destination. Co-pilot was way better maybe taking you to the next exit or even using the bypass around major cities. Those days are gone now I guess. It doesn’t post the truck speed on split speed limits. It doesn’t notify you of scales coming up. I can’t find save current location to add to address folder. You need internet to find fuel stops. And routing has become frustrating. Practical is a joke anymore. I’m staying with Co-pilot because the traffic alert is great and I paid the 300+ years ago for the truck app. I will continue to use it as a backup to the Rand. But I can no longer recommend Co-pilot as a truck app especially since they are asking for a monthly fee. Should they return to improve this app and start adding useful features for trucks and truck navigation ie: weather and construction warnings scales and truck fuel stops in route like what is on the ALK app. then I would gladly change my rating and review. Co-pilot has lost their way..Version: 10.11.1.80

Nearly thereSame as the satnav in my truck, but the app on my iphone has the traffic option. Such a pity at the minute that it doesnt work with apple carplay, which would enable it to be seen on the scania stereo in-cab. Hopefully this will come in the near future.....Last time i lookednit was being looked at lat november (2018....) Come on guys.......sort it out Added Nov. 2019 This app is defo not the same as on the tablet in cab. Tried three times to take me down roads (when ‘tablet’ copilot wanted me to go straight on. All three roads would barely take a transit van never mind a 44 ton 60 foot truck lol. Arent these two types of copilot supposed to be the same???? Now i just (for now) use the traffic part of the ios app, but TRUST our company tablet copilot for getting 95% of the way. I DEFINITELY DONT TRUST THE IOS APP TO GET ME ANYWHERE NOW IF THE LAST COUPLE OF WEEKS IS ANYTHING TO GO BY......Version: 10.11.1.197

Good idea, issues with routingI liked the of real-time RV routing without selling my soul to good Sam but after using for two weeks on a long RV trip I have some issues with the routing. Going through several major cities on I40 it consistently wanted to rout via bypasses even though the straight through routes were faster. It also has a tendency to take you off interstates for short stretches on secondary roads and then put you back on the same interstate. This makes no sense for RV routing. I find my self having to check the copilot routing against google maps to make sure it doesn’t do anything stupid. After completing a 50 day cross county Rv trip I still have lots of issues with the routing. In several cases we were routed on small gravel roads totally unsuited for an RV. Looks like I’ll need to look for an alternate solution.Version: 10.19.3.201

USED to be brilliant....now crap!!!!I bought CoPilot back in 2013 and have driven thousands of miles using this wonderful app...until recently when they completely changed EVERYTHING about it. They lay out is horrendous, the menus are impossible to navigate, I can't work out how to set a future route with pit stops which I used to find invaluable for organising daily holiday driving routes in advance and saving them, it won't let me use it in landscape mode anymore unless I unlock screen rotate which I hate having on. This list of complaints is endless!! I'm just glad I still have my old iPhone 6 with the old CoPilot update because it is absolutely useless on my new bigger iPhone 7 unfortunately especially as I was looking forward to using it on a bigger screen!! 😡😡😡😡😡.Version: 10.4.1.447

Issues with the last updateAfter updating to the most recent app while on iPhone 6s iOS 13.4, there is no way to see the render of the map or to use navigation in any way. Please fix this issue as soon as possible. A huge benefit would be to ise Copilot on Apple Car Play. Thank you for your hard work and for reading this message (I have sent it to the app support too)..Version: 10.14.0.134

Stop messing with this AppI’ve been using CoPilot for years in my car and on my motorcycle and have toured Europe, USA and Canada without any issues. However I’ve now found out that you’ve removed the motorway avoidance option on the vehicle profiles and suddenly I feel so annoyed with you guys. As a motorcyclist, I don’t want to use motorways to tour. I don’t want to be directed toward motorways as the app recalculates my route. I want to stay well clear of them but you’ve ruined this option for me. I’m planning another 2 month tour of the east coast of USA / Canada this summer but I’ll not be using CoPilot and I’ll certainly not be recommending it to my fellow riders. You’ve taken a brilliant navigation app and ruined it. Shame on you..Version: 10.10.0.535

Very poor user experienceWe previously used a competing app but as this one was very well referenced so we decided to give it a try. The User Interface ranges from confusing to unusable. No wonder marketing got involved! Uninstalling it was a relief..Version: 10.19.3.201

ETAWhile I found most of the functions of this GPS app accurate and functional, I found that the ETA was out by hours over a four hour trip. This is not good enough for any GPS when you consider Garmin is really accurate to the minute with normal driving for a four to five hour trip. Perhaps if it is able to be better personalised like being able to set maximum speed limits or averages for different roads. I really like the audible overspeed alert and the ability to adjust this settings. I hope that each update can have actual map updates as well taking into account speed limit changes that are now permanent. I think the maps can be a bit more detailed and show more info including lane location pictures..Version: 9.4.0.276

Update terribleNew copilot terrible, I have used daily for about 3 years, recent update saw a lot of well established addresses unable to be found. Streets can be found but not street numbers, the system will not let you add an address by searching, you need to find it manually by looking at the map, meaning you have to find the address another way. Additionally live traffic updates have become poor and seem to be a waste of money.Version: 10.11.1.10

StuckMy friend and I have the same problem The apps is stop giving certain street names and asked us to choose cross street despite it previously had given us the name of address.Version: 10.11.1.10

Boring interfaceInterface is so boring....Version: 10.4.1.447

Used to love it...updated to junkThis used to be a pretty good gps for the truck although it had is quirks like wanting you to take off ramps and get right back on the interstate. Now to the latest update...they brag about optimizing the eta for stoplights and traffic but all they did is make it useless! I used to be able to look at the eta and add 15 minutes or so and be dead on and now it’s on average 3 to 4 hours off and is completely useless. At least my Rand McNally had the option to fine tune the eta to your driving style and I didn’t have to pay yearly for it. Also the maps are way out of date and never have newer addresses so I’m stuck using my phone when I get close to where I need to go.Version: 10.14.0.134

Not so good...Firstly, using Yelp as a search engine is a really bad idea...try it and find out! This is probably the very worst aspect of the app. Secondly, having to purchase voice directions as an “extra”in a paid for Sat Nav is really not on. Thirdly, there is little “intuitive” about this app. “Maps” or “Google Maps” are so easy...Co-pilot is not. I ride a motorcycle and find the whole thing so “user unfriendly” that I don’t choose to use it. This is a real disappointment since the offline navigation concept is exactly what I required. I’m sure some people find Co-pilot good (3.2 in reviews) but sadly, not me! Update... The “voice” problem has resolved itself via a reset. Still finding search process difficult. When I can find the place I want the app works well...particularly through a helmet Bluetooth headset. Very impressed with instant contact from Copilot team regarding initial review..Version: 10.4.1.447

Can’t renew subscriptionI got Apple email says my subscription for this app just processed, I got the invoice. But the app still says my premium features has ended? If you have to wait the money transfer, why couldn’t you just inform me few days earlier so I can pay prior. I couldn’t use it now for my work..Version: 10.26.1.443

Terrible setup processYou download the app, open it up, create an account, then you have to go through and pick your region, however on the trial version the only regions available are Europe, and North America, and even after purchasing a subscription you can’t change your region, so if your outside those two regions like Australasia for example, this app is useless! I’ve contacted support, and even they haven’t been able to give me an answer on how to get around that. Their support is pathetic! Do not buy!.Version: 10.19.0.1861

Shonky TrimbleI’ve used this app since 2012 when I purchased Australian maps. Since the Trimble branding I was somehow switched to Truck profile. I somehow agreed to a trial- because the message is Trial is ended and I must Re subscribe. I say no. App won’t let me do anything anymore- says that is premium feature. My Aus map even downloaded as restore of my purchase/ licence. Then disappeared.Version: 10.14.0.134

From one of the better to skip over . .Had free version. Purchased upgrade version. Then didnt use it so much. Back into it of late and nothing I paid for previously is included any longer. Hell, it tells me that the 'search' function is a premium feature and would I like to subscribe. Goodbye..Version: 10.11.1.35

Seriously LackingA Developer reply says CarPlay is on the agenda but can offer no timeframe for release. Difficult to understand why it’s not top of the list of things to do and why it’s so hard, when so many other providers offer it. Cancelled my subscription today. Will re-subscribe when CarPlay is offered.Version: 10.19.0.1355

Used to be a good appI have used this app for quite a while and found it to be very good as I didn’t need an internet connection for it to work. Now I have to log in every time I use it and if I don’t have a internet connection it doesn’t work. Really not happy that I just paid another 12 months subs before I found this out.Version: 10.19.0.1861

This app is awful!! DO NOT BUY THE NEW VERSION!!I originally bought CoPilot a few years ago to use while driving through Italy. It was a dream -it enabled me to falling back roads, drive without using cellular data and gave crisp voice directions which guided me through town by town. Unfortunately, this new version is unusable. When I bought the new version for Spain and Portugal I found that the cost was $25, because I could not purchase a single country map. The new version is inaccurate (the red dot indicating where you are is constantly humongous around and almost caused a number of accidents as I swerved to take an exit at the last second). It does not contain Voice (unless you pay an additional $18) and is impossible to figure out. I am usually very good with technical matters, but this one continually eludes me. Simply said, I hate it! The old version was terrific and this one is worse than asking a two-year-old child for directions..Version: 10.7.1.178

Yelp is uselessThis app used to be really good but the choice of Yelp as the online search engine (and I use that term loosely in Yelp’s case) is a complete waste of time as it only finds things that obviously pay Yelp to be on there. Even if you narrow the search to a town/suburb it just brings up hundreds of other cafes/hotels for example that you aren’t interested in, that aren’t even anywhere near the suburb you enter. Unless you know the specific address (try looking for a lookout) the search function is useless. Presumably CoPilot get paid every time someone uses their search facility. Please go back to Google or another search engine that actually has a lot of content..Version: 10.10.0.535

Fails at Main JobThere are aspects of this app that I like. However, the main issue, and why I will no longer use it, is that it has failed multiple times to do the main thing that I got it for amd that is to avoid routes based on trailer length and height. I felt like it was worth paying the $30 for this exact feature. Otherwise, I could use Google Maps for free. This most recent time it took me right down the middle of the strip in Laughlin, NV. Come to find out, I could have stayed on a highway and avoided the tight space and traffic and been faster. Since being at this RV park I have noticed the highway route is what every other RV has taken to get here. After arriving my wife put the trip into Google Maps and it routed along the highway as well. It also often times doesn’t have the address I am looking to go to or the place by name. I could live with that, but I cannot live with it leading me on a route that is more dangerous/difficult due to our length. Again, this is supposed to be the whole reason to pay to get it. Disappointed that I wasted my money on this product..Version: 10.19.0.1355

Lack of Australian versionSo how about maps for Australia?! I can’t believe that in today’s global society, I was unable to download any map for my own country - instead being limited to only Europe and America..Version: 10.11.1.35

Outdated now by free and more modern appsI’ve been using copilot for years, but now with Apple and google maps I rarely use it now as its developers have left it in the past with the likes of the vintage TomTom one I used to own, no voice control, yearly charges for traffic updates, poor menu system that’s not easy to quickly use when your driving and a poor search function. It’s great that you can use it offline but that’s probably the only thing left going for it, It doesn’t integrate with iOS very well, it would be great if they offered some form of voice activation and quick menus. I haven’t seen many updates of late. Either hang up your hat Co Pilot or get your team to move with the times and update and improve your app. I definitely wouldn’t recommend it to anyone anymore. Save your cash and stick with the stock maps or alternatives as they are more user friendly..Version: 10.4.1.447

Failed Test Before Actual Use!!!I tried to test this app before purchasing to see if it would be helpful for navigating a trip in our RV. I couldn’t so I purchased the RV app $29. I then tested the app by choosing a destination that I knew would be a scary route in any large vehicle. Sure enough, the route from Sedona AZ (Rancho Sedona RV Park) to Flagstaff AZ gives only 2 options for routes! One is the switchback and very steep route and the other takes you on an undeveloped dirt road! Try it and then do a satellite image you will see the switchbacks and the dirt road! When I mentioned this to the app developers, they asked me to recreate my issue and save it for them to analyze. This meant that they didn’t even try to recreate it themselves. Not proactive at all and I’m not being paid to be their quality assurance tech!.Version: 10.14.0.134

MOST UNRELIABLE GPS THERE IS!!! WASTE OF MONEYI’ve been using this product for a few months now and to be honest there are so many things wrong with it that it’ll take me forever to go into details. I would like to point out the main ones. 1. The maps are so many years out of date that it is disturbing to know that you are paying a monthly fee for this things not to be updated constantly. 2. Width restrictions, Height restrictions and no left or right turns are literally a myth in this application. I cant think of how many times I've been driving and this gps has taken me to width and height restricted roads and I’ve been left to do dangerous manoeuvres trying to het out of the mess it has put me in. 3. There isn’t a such thing as effective routing I’ve had to keep my maps on 2D to be able to save myself on many extra miles of driving because this gps always takes the longest route. And its not down to settings because I’ve all of them. 4. I was also paying for cameras and live traffic all lies. Barely ever does it show me any speed cameras on the road let alone warn me about them and live traffic is a joke right next to non existent. It tells me there is traffic where there isn’t and shows no traffic where there is. Complete waste of money for many months only reason I’ve stayed is because i was being reimbursed the money from work but no more..Version: 10.14.0.134

No audio 😫I like the complete UI, the endless features and it’s dependable navigation; that is, if I’m using it visually!! ☹️ It doesn’t suit me much nonetheless though, as I do not get any Spoken TTS when my radio is playing; only works TTS in AUX mode!! I am still hoping that my Ticket submitted in this regard is answered professionally and my issue can be resolved!! I’m I the only person experiencing this problem!! 🤨 Review Update!!!! A big thanks to the CoPilot team for actually responding to my ‘review’!! I am looking forward to their next update in the hopes that my one ‘big’ issue can be resolved!!! Should this happen...I will give the best updated review in BiG Bold Letters!!! 👌🏻.Version: 10.4.1.447

Wrong directionsWhen in Honolulu I was looking for directions to Aloha Stadium. It directed me in the middle of nowhere in a mountainous area and valleys. There a couple of other locations with similar result. I had to switch off and use Google maps instead. Very disappointed and misleading. Otherwise good app..Version: 10.26.0.653

TRASH APPHonestly, take down the app. Dissolve the company and all of you jump off of a bridge. How could you put out such a trash app? I use this app for work. I use a truck profile and this thing will ask me to bang a uturn on a divided highway. It will send me down a road and lead me to a bike path. It will tell me odd numbers are on the right when they’re on the left. It will have me take a left to get to a location when the address is to the right. It brought me down a road that led to a dirt road that led into someone’s driveway. It has brought me down a dead end as if the road continues. It will ask me to turn around safely in a culvers sack but then when I miss a turn on a main road it will lead me three or 4 miles away from my route to turn me around and bring me back. It doesn’t learn. It takes me out of my way instead of down the shorter route. It will take me down main roads instead of side streets where there are no restrictions. TRASH!.Version: 10.14.0.536

Rubbish in LondonI drive in and around London every day and I need a reliable satnav which I was told this was but upon using it I find it is not! Not even close! I entered my vehicle details and it sends me out of my way rather than using main roads in and around London it sends me out to come back in! Costing me hours and fuel! It’s a joke! Fix it you muppets!! Also why do my chosen voice commands I downloaded keep disappearing and I have to download them again? Why are you not updating your maps to incorporate the changes in London and other cities ? You have cost me more than I’ve paid for the app so now co-pilot owes me money! Tried to find your contact information online but you don’t seem to have any? Are you afraid you’ll have to answer for your SIGNIFICANT failings!?? Not happy at all..Version: 10.26.1.300

Really BadDoesn't work. It didn't start from home, and no matter how many times I changed it, it changed itself back. Useless..Version: 9.5.0.435

Great, but I wish it kept up with NZ road changes.Excellent app. Done tens of thousands of kms and it takes me to places I normally would never see, much quicker than the main route. Having just returned from a lap of the country, guided by Copilot, I’m frustrated by the developers’ inability to keep up with changes in the NZ roaring network. An example of this is how it tried to deal with the route between Picton and Christchurch, refusing to let me drive the coast road which has been open for many months now. Back when it was closed, following the Kaikoura earthquakes, it struggled to let me drive over the Lewis Pass without taking a detour over the Marina Saddle (a route which should only be attempted in a well equipped 4WD, driven by a capable and experienced operator). While I understand that to expect the developers to keep up with the dog’s dinner which is the NZ highway network, it irks me that their attempts to do just that have meant that I reasonably expect my primary navigation app to be dysfunctional, quake damaged in a sense, for months yet. It would be better if they just left it alone and let me calculate road closures, or do a better job of keeping up with the actual state of the road network. The inconvenience to someone who covers a lot of miles by this app is worth a downgrade to three stars and a lengthy description of the issue. Another problem is the typical mangling of Te Reo. If I choose the Australian voices, it’s so bad that it makes me want to put my phone in an offshore detention centre. If you’re a kiwi who respects cultural sensitivity, you’ll have to give Copilot a pass or set your tolerance for ignorance back to the 80’s..Version: 10.4.1.447

Incorrect information on mapsHere’s what I’ve noticed after purchasing, using, and running this side by side with Google Maps. 1- The maps are outdated. For example, on the east coast there are large areas of freeway and highway that have changed their exit number (don’t know why) but this map shows the old number. Google shows the updated numbers. 2- more importantly, there were at least 2 instances where the map told me to take an exit that was incorrect. For example, it said “stay to the left and follow exit 6B when in fact I needed to take a cloverleaf hard right exit to get on to 6B. The illustration was incorrect and labeled the exit incorrectly. Got me in trouble twice which is why I keep Google maps on to double check the info. I bought this app to help guide my RV around low clearance bridges, etc. it has done that so far but with the correction help of Google. Overall not happy with this app and unfortunate that I paid for it. Update- Got a reply with a question mark at the end of a statement and a cookie cutter response. On the latest trip it kept routing me off the road to a small road that went right back to the road I was on. Wish I could just get my money back..Version: 10.19.0.1355

App needs a lot of storage spaceIf you are limited on memory this app runs terribly slow - I couldn't use it..Version: 9.6.2.929

Waste of timeI have rarely been more frustrated in an app. I downloaded this specifically because it advertises its suitability for caravans. The very first time we used it, it tried to send us down three roads that were completely unsuitable for caravans, and two that actually specifically prohibited caravans, according to several local signs. Luckily we noticed, and managed to drive around, or could have found ourselves in quite serious trouble. I have checked the vehicle profile in settings, and it is correctly set with our caravan dimensions. This is not just some trivial app that has no real impact on people’s lives, this is an app with a very important function that could have very serious consequences if it doesn’t work. Which it doesn’t. I’m glad I was only using the trial version; I certainly won’t be buying..Version: 10.11.1.80

Active traffic alerts problem!I have been using co-pilot for HGV driving and active traffic subscriptions. However, it has begun not catching up with the night road closures and diversions. Tonight, there are two road closures and diversions on m25 clockwise, but it’s showing clear traffic. I had to take an early break and wait for my driving time to clock up again, and I would have had to stay on a lay-by on m25 not to get infringement if I relayed on your app and carried on driving. It’s a good job. I checked with Google Maps and learned about closures and diversions. Please keep updating the live traffic so that people don’t pay for a service that doesn’t work. And it’s used for 50-tonner artics HGV driving, not car driving! Thanks!.Version: 10.26.1.300

SearchI use this app every day and generally find it very good.... But it does have one almost fatal flaw, the search function is just appalling. To its credit it is consistent, but consistently bad. I love the layout and it is without doubt my preferred app for long journeys, but to do so I have to search the destination in Google and then try and reverse the engineer the results in co pilot. For short journeys I just don't bother and use a competing free app. If they could fix the search function then this would be a 5 star app, partner with Google guys .....please. Update. Search continues to be the Achilles heel for this app - it's simply appalling. If team copilot doesnt want to be reliant on the likes of Google than at least use something like 'what 3 words'..Version: 10.4.1.447

GPSThis product has great potential if the GPS would keep a lock on. Keep loosing GPS for anything up to 10 mins at a time. Don't like the recalculate function after every turn..Version: 9.4.0.147

Not a good appAs first time trailer owners we were hopeful that this app would never guide us into hairpin turns, or single lane highways that didn’t have a shoulder. No such luck. We also have gotten diverted off of major highways for seemingly no reason. Diverted into heavy traffic or single lane roadways. On top of that, the maps won’t download onto any of our devices. When they complete a red X appears and we cannot get our map..Version: 10.11.1.197

Old fashioned and Poor QualityReally wanted this to be a good app bit sadly it is pretty awful. I was looking for an app that would work well when towing the caravan but this isn’t it. Considering the annual cost the quality of the interface is really poor and it selects routes that are impassable with a caravan. So definitely not worth the cost. The interface really is poor as it can be difficult to select some options even with many taps on arrows or options and in some cases impossible to select them at all. The drawing of the map is awful by comparison to current day navigation apps and looks like the old Navman maps from 20 years ago. The quality is just sloppy on the whole, the burger stack menu isn’t centred and neither is the speed limit in the circle..Version: 10.26.0.653

Dont buy this app for caravans!I bought Co Pilot Hd which was designed for Caravanners and could input the vehicle sizes and select the preferred type of roads/routes and have been really happy with it until a recent update to this version. I am now unable to enter vehicle sizes nor can i select the type of roads i prefer and on a recent holiday Copilot was now trying to route me down all sorts of unsuitable roads and tracks! I raised this with Copilot and they said they have updated it because the previous version was no longer suitable and I cannot revert to the original that I paid for! AND they cannot issue a refund and I should ask Apple for a refund. Apple refuse on the grounds that it does not meet their terms and conditions. I told them the new App was not fit for purpose and they basically said hard luck and to write a review! I have only given it one star because i cannot pick no stars..Version: 10.10.0.535

Copilot RV review after 1600 mile tripI bought this thinking it would be a great app for RV GPS guidance. Well let me list the pros: Interface is good with traffic display Customize view RV set up Speed alerts * more on this issue with speed alerts Downloaded maps *. Issues below Search function is OK. Not bad but you have to enter city zip then enter address or name. Would be easier with just one search entry Cons. Download maps are not upgraded. We ran into many situations that my wife’s WAZE running at the same time saved us. Copilot had missed turns directly to RV spots and I entered the address to the spot. Missed turns on 2 locations that Waze saved us. The lane assist arrows are so small at the top of the iPhone you can’t see them especially in sun light. The speed alert went off so many times I turned it off. I am in a RV I don’t speed but it went off. Thought it might be me and raised the alert to 10mph over and still would go off at random times. Overall I can not trust the app which is why I bought it. We ended up using WAZE since we could not trust Copilot. Overall a 2 but it has promise just not there yet..Version: 10.14.0.134

No goodDidn't work well for me. Laggy and took ages to figure out where I even was! Then it couldn't keep up with me..Version: 9.5.0.435

Can use a bit of updateThis used to be my go to app for navigation and still is (for now). However, a bit of improvement is urgently needed in certain areas. It keeps crashing - even on ‘Trip preview’ which is unacceptable (I’m using iPhone XI Pro with latest iOS update). It seems to struggle navigating while giving out various info e.g. turn notifications, speed warning. Using trip preview also triggers voice commands to reset to default requiring download of voices again. Also, searching online is only useful when you know the cities place you’re looking for otherwise it won’t give you the right results (if any). Tried reinstalling but it didn’t help. I thought I’d share my thoughts after using Copilot for years because the last thing anybody want is trying to reset the phone app after missing the exit on the motor way..Version: 10.19.0.1355

I love the appDefinitely above average and I recommend it to everyone. However (but this may just be my iPod) the app seems to go really slow for me (and this is offline too!) if I zoom out, I'll have to wait for about 3-5 seconds for it to do it. It's frustrating but a pretty good app apart from some minor bugs..Version: 9.3.0.176
