✓ Amazing, if only...Asalamu Alaykum Let me just head right in. This app is everything I have been looking for. I love it how it has the Quran and the translation, I love it how is has Duas, how it monitors your prayers, however the only thing that really hindered the experience was that for a couple of weeks now, it has randomly frozen. When I open the app it happens or when I click the Quran section on the bottom or anything else, it always freezes. ✓ 3.99 for ads is a jokeI like this app, but the ads are awful and annoying and come up every 30seconds. I wouldn’t mind paying to remove them but 3.99 is a joke of a price. 99p is much more I line with what other apps charge. Please do research before setting an absurd price. Secondly the times are weird, this is great to just tick off the prayers but I still refer back to ELM mosque times. There should be a way to upload the mosque times you follow into the app, or at least customise the angle of degrees to that similar to the mosque you follow. ✓ Ads are annoyingThis app is great, in terms of helping you keep track of your prayers and giving reminders for duas and prayer times. However, the constant ads are absolutely infuriating, while I’m reading a dua on the app, an ad pops up while I’m reading, it’s mad disrespectful. I understand there is a pro version, but I don’t know anyone who’d buy it. Getting ads popping up in the middle while you are trying to read Quran verses is not the best way to get people to pay money for your app. There are better apps out there that don’t have constant ads ..………..44Version: 7.3.3

I wish it it was a little bigger so i could see it otherwise i would have had to subscribe to the premium again. Other than that i love this app and i use it effectively to teach new muslims. ✓ The AdsI can’t. I wanted to love this app. Functionally, it is perfect. But the ads have ruined it completely. I don’t write reviews. Even if it’s bad I don’t ride reviews. It’s a hassle. But people need to know. I got 3 ads in under a minute. And this is me trying to listen to the Quran recitation. Like how can you have an app with the Quran and have a ad pop-up every 15-20 seconds while the recitation is going on? Do they have an ad quota that they need to fill each day? Gah. It’s so horrible. So I tried to use the app after putting my phone on airplane mode (after downloading the surah I was trying to listen to), but the app just crashed and wouldn’t let me listen. And as soon as I turned on my network data, I immediately got an ad. This app is infuriating. I now believe the main purpose of the app is to make money. I wouldn’t mind paying money. Sure. ✓ Annoying, loud commercial during prayer times.Dec 5, 2018 : How many times I have to pay to update for add free application ? I have paid several times and most recently I have paid for update again but the app is asking me to update again by making more payment. For Allah’s sake , please stop doing shady business in the name of Islam. Previous: Advertisement with annoying loud sound interrupts prayers. If user checks the prayer time in a rush and forgets to close the app and stands on the prayer, the app automatically displays commercials with a high volume. By that time user is already started prayer and can’t go back to the app and close it. Not only that , user is not even allowed to close or stop the commercial and it forces user to continue to watch and listen the loud annoying commercials. This is extremely inconvenient and unacceptable. Nobody wants to compromise and interrupt their prayers for unwanted commercials . This must be stopped. But, I can’t give it a higher rating because of those ridiculous pop up ads that you can’t get rid of without fighting for ten minutes to clear the stupid things. ✓ Annoying problem that has no solutionThe app is great and it’s an invaluable tool to have. My problem is the random notifications for events going on in parts of the country that are hundreds or thousands of miles away from me. Why do I need this information and why can’t I turn these notifications off? Adding to this review. If I turn off notifications I won’t be able to get Athan times. ✓ TerribleI don’t usually write reviews but felt I must. I downloaded this whilst sitting in the Haram and was persuaded by the high review score of 4.8 at the time. As soon as I opened it ad after ad kept opening on my screen which were difficult to close. Some were cartoons and other ridiculous things one would not wish to see especially whilst in the Haram. I was so uncomfortable that I just switched off my phone. Back in my hotel room I thought I’d give it another try and see if there is anything useful in this app. Not 5 seconds had passed and again bombarded with ad after ad. You can see my annoyance with the length of this review. I don’t wish to doubt ratings but I’d say I’m very surprised with such a high rating from my experience. ✓ Lost functionality from older versionWhen this new app was released, not only was my old, paid for Athan Pro app subscription invalid and never transferred, but my most used feature was removed - the prayer book. I realise that this exists in a slimmed down form, but it lacks the ability for me to go back and know exactly which prayer I may have missed, for me to then make it up. I want to be able to see that I missed a Fajr two weeks ago for example, and I want to be able to tick that off when I make it up. Just like I used to do in the previous app. I’d appreciate this feature returning. It’d also be nice to see the old illustration from the previous app which showed you how many prayers you’ve ticked off vs how many you’ve missed. ✓ Inaccurate prayer timesI normally don’t write review but I felt I need to as I really like the app and it’s features, it has really helped me feel more closer to my deen. The only problem I have is the inaccurate salat times especially Fajr and Isha prayer. I live in Kent and according to kent mosque it’s 3:09 and 22:21 respectively, however the Athan app is showing 22:35 and 23:20. I really think this needs to be looked into to avoid misleading people. ✓ Was one of my favorite appsI used this app for years and it has been one of my favorites. I even love that they now have the excused prayers ability. I enjoy being able to log my prayers and it has always been my go to, until recently. I have stopped getting notifications for my prayers, no beep, vibrate or athan. Everything the customer service asked me to do has already been done and I have gone in to settings so many times to double check everything. I have deleted and reinstalled the app so many times since this issue started and still it has not resolved. A lot of the times I rely on the notifications, so that I can complete my prayers in time. It is is my audible reminder that no matter how busy I am, I need to take myself away from all matters and come perform my prayers. I hope there is a fix to this, in sha Aallah soon. ✓ DisappointedI’ve been a long time paid user of this app but after all these years this app has constantly gone downhill. From the hard to use UI (prayer times are behind a click which takes time to load) to basic mistakes (my app shows incorrect times, Isha happening before maghrib for example, and the feature where you select angles says Fajr twice instead of Fajr and Isha) to the lack of customer support to the strange community notifications coming through even though I’ve disabled them.
