✓ Made my whole phone glitch out anytime i opened the app.I downloaded this app because i have a lot of videos and no where to put them. i downloaded it at some point in december 2020 and from the start it was super glitchy. it would shut down randomly and it would cause every single app on my phone to shut down as well. some of my videos were fairly long and when i would try to upload it would take me a few tries. DO NOT GET THIS APP. i have snap and the last few days whenever i would open keep safe and then open snap, snap would give me the terms agreement from october of 2019. i’m not sure if everyone got it but no one i know has had that issue whcih leads me to believe it was because of keep safe. this app overall is very very glitchy and will cause your phone to move super slow. i didn’t want to deal with it anymore since it took up so much of my iphone storage so i went through to save all of my photos back to my camera roll. i had to restart my phone about five times, close the app about 20 times, and re-save videos about 2-4 times. every few photos it would say that they failed to save to camera roll which is why i would have to completely close everything and restart my device. i’ve read that other people have had issues with this app being glitchy as well. if you need some where to save your videos and photos please do not get this app..Version: 10.2.3
✓ Continuing to get worse each updateEach update makes the app worse. I can’t open the app as it freezes my phone, if I wait a few minutes I can get in, then if I try to add or delete photos it freezes my phone once again and I can’t force close. ✓ Nice app but not greatThe app is great it lets you save a bunch of stuff, has a bunch of features like taking a picture of break in attempts, fake pin, fake albums, lets you personalize it as you wish, pretty sure it has a big storage. The only huge problem I have with it and that’s making me unsubscribe my premium subscription is that it takes extremely long to import big files like videos. And when I say extremely long i don’t mean an hour or 4. I mean days and weeks. I could try to import videos and they would never import. After weeks of trying. The app backs up automatically which is great but what’s the point of it if big files for some reason never get backed up. I’ve had this large videos in the app for months and they never finish being backed up. I’m not sure what the problem is but it’s really annoying. I purposely bought the premium subscription to be able to have a lot of storage and not have problems like this. But for sure it was a waste of money since it’s such a problem to import stuff and get them backed up. Other than that like I said the app has some great features just for sure don’t download it if you’re looking to save large videos.Version: 7.24

✓ Subscription issues and image loading issuesI’ve been using the app for years and never really had much complaint except when I redownloaded the app on a new phone and used the save cloud to access all of my images give an error while loading and refuse to load. Lost forever it seems because it’s been a recurring issue for several images for the last couple years and no updates have solved the problem. And most recently I can’t access any photos because it says there is a problem with my subscription even though it doesn’t expire for another 3 months (yearly premium.) It even tells me if I cancel my subscription I’d still have access to premium features until the day it’s supposed to renew but I can’t access anything regardless of that..Version: 11.8.2
✓ Could be far better.This app has come a very long way since it’s release, and the developers seem to be serious about making a quality app. However there is no way to sync images between devices. You can pay for the premium version of the app, but it still doesn’t have this feature. It allows for a honestly quite small amount of cloud storage, but if you’re like me and have thousands of photos it’s not a viable option. You also can’t upgrade your cloud storage. I pay for a large amount of ICloud storage but the files in this app don’t backup to ICloud. There should be some way to sync files between 2 devices that are right next to one another, or a way to get the files on this app to sync to ICloud instead of their cloud. If they want to put that feature behind the premium paywall that’s fine. I’m not a developer so I don’t know what, if any, limitations there would be to including a feature like this. All and all I love the design and accessibility of this app, but I may have to cancel my premium sub, and go with something that has a feature that allows sync or cloud that I can upgrade..Version: 8.39.3

✓ Help meI downloaded this app on my iPhone and some data such as photos had been stored on this app. When you initially download this app it gives you a premium free trial without telling you. My trial had ended after some time and when I try to switch to basic and recover my data it doesn’t work. I only get a downloading bar stuck on 66%. I have the same KeepSafe app on my iPad too and it hold no data. The KeepSafe app stopped the free premium trial and forced me to switch to basic. When recovering my data the download bar gets stuck on 72% even though I have no data to be downloaded in the first place. This is very odd and suspicious. Im wondering if this is just a bug or a trick in order for me to pay premium and get my data back. Can someone please get back to me..Version: 11.4.0

✓ Randomly tells you that you’ve finished your free trial when nothing was mentioned about any trial.This app either had little or no warning that this is a free trial version. I put a bunch of photos in the app and now that the “trial” has ended I now have to download it back to my photos. The pricing is also insane ($15 a month??!), this app is at most worth $10 a month. The fact that they hit you with the end of trial and force you to download the files is a very scummy way for people to panic purchase the subscription. At least give a warning a couple of days before that the trial is ending so people can securely transfer the files. This is a security app after all, the fact that you aren’t warned is a security flaw. This app could hold sensitive information; people who don’t have the money are compromising their security for your mistake/scummy tactic. Please add a warning that you will be disabling the free trial at least a day before if not a week..Version: 10.8.0

Keep lookingI’ve been using this app for years now, paying for premium, not typically running into too many problems, but the little things started to add up and I’ve decided that Dropbox will suit my needs better. So, I’m in the process of moving my photos - which has been nothing short of a chore. CONS: 1. For a lot of photos, after clicking on ‘export’, I get this error message; Error Error exporting one or more files: Could not download one or more files. I would like access to my photos, please. They’re mine, I copyright them, please give me back that access. 2. While I was paying for premium, after changing the theme, it never stayed that way. Even after updating, the app would crash it and revert back to the standard theme. Years this went on. I just couldn’t validate complaining about something so minute. 3. I’ve succumbed to moving the photos I DO have access to, to my camera roll, and THEN to my Dropbox. Why? Because KeepSafe only allows one photo to be transferred AT A TIME (between apps; keepsafe to Dropbox). I’m not spending the rest of my life exporting my photos from one app to another. C’mon. 4. Trying to share albums is a pain in the a**!! At least Dropbox is consistent. PROS: Can now use Face ID to unlock app (yay!!). Good price for storage. Has potential. I like that it gives the user the ability to change the album covers, lock certain albums....Version: 10.0.10
✓ GlitchThis issue hasn’t been fixed in the last two updates. When I go to change passcode I input my own, then the new, after two minutes an error message pops up saying it can’t authenticate. The help/support in app does not work either, keeps redirecting me out of app to App Store, then in app store still can’t navigate to contact support. ✓ Bad app that secretly doesn’t do what it says it does.First of all, if you try to delete any files or photos from the app, keepsafe will only lie to you and tell you that space was freed up. In reality if you actually pay attention to the storage space on your phone, the deleted files are still there using up your storage but you simply have absolutely no way to access them. Therefore, the app will only continue eating away your storage unless you delete the app and ALL files from your phone together. You might say that backing up the photos on your cloud is a solution… this WOULD be the case if the backup function actually worked and didnt just lie and redownload even more files to your iphone storage. Tell me how while uploading files to my cloud (without using any other apps or downloading anything) made my iphone storage “other” category increase by over 15 GBs? Again, another lie just eating away more storage. Besides that, the cloud function simply takes ridiculous amounts of time 6 hours and counting so far, but once your finished backing up youll realize that its just another error fake function that doesnt actually backup anything..Version: 11.5.1
✓ Awesome yet frustratingI would have definitely gave five stars if not for one issue I have, and it’s a pretty big issue. This app is awesome and well worth the premium for it’s easy to use, fast and convenient(depending on your WiFi and size)transferring, delete option, and lots of other stuff I haven’t even used yet. The loss of the two stars is due to the app crashing. For the most part I never transfer on data, mainly WiFi and as I explain earlier everything works great. Transferring is actually easy….BUT….. after a few minutes of transferring both photos and video it tends to crash and stop working. Everything is saved so that’s great but it acts almost like a fuel engine…..like I need to let it cool down or something and that can be very frustrating when I find myself flowing nice and easy. Both phones have keep safe on it however keep safe does not function the way it supposed to. I don’t know what they do every day but it is not business. This is a software that has a lot of potential however it lags when it comes to loading and transferring files to upload to the keep safe cloud. For file transfers. I believe that it’s very possible that the software that keep safe is using is very slow and I are their servers. Causing the lagging In the uploads. Also 5000 photos is very middle I was once introduced to them and offered 100,000. However they were unable to make it stick on my account. ✓ Was excellent, lately idkHad the app for ever, pretty great, but lately been trying to clear up space on my phone and the app seems to take up more space the more i delete from it. the files themselves are barely 1mb but somehow the app went from taking 4-5gbs to taking 8+ gbs of space on my device after i deleted unimportant photos or videos. kind of makes me want to uninstall but id have to transfer everything i hope to keep to make sure i dont lose out on countless memories. also the lack of “sort by size” is frustrating. plz optimize, the app shouldnt be taking up 4 extra unseeable gbs of space —update- the app peaked at like 11gbs before my phone ran out of space completely and began crashing. ended up uninstalling it after i was able to download it on my ipad and make sure id still have access to my photos. not sure if that is a memory leak issue but it almost bricked my phone simply from deleting photos.. please check this or il be having to switch to another app. cloud service and the app in general work very well and have held me down thru many different scenarios but it cant be breaking my phone.Version: 10.12.0
✓ Disgusting.When I first downloaded this app it gave no indication that is was a paid app with a free trial. I uploaded around 500 photos to the app and had no issues with it. I opened it one day to be told my free trial has now ended and I need to pay to view my photos or to not pay and download my photos from their cloud. I tried to download my photos but the app kept crashing essentially forcing me to pay to gain access to the app. Once I had paid I tried to download my photos and export them to my camera roll. This did not work because the app kept crashing, it took me around 2 hours off closing and opening the app to complete this doing 5 photos at a time. ✓ Recent bugs caused major issuesI have used keepsafe for 4+ years and never had any issues. I always thought it was a great app and have recommended it to other people for secure photo storage. But recently it has become unusable. It is extremely slow, is constantly syncing even though I have cloud backup turned OFF and constantly crashes out of the app. It is also suddenly taking up a HUGE* amount of space, to the point where my phone is full and other apps are unable to function. Trying to delete content only makes things worse. Usage has actually GROWN by 7GB after trying to clear space. I'm not the only person reporting the syncing and crashing issues. PLEASE help to fix this. * 17GB of content in keepsafe was consuming 85GB of space on my phone. UPDATE: After clearing space on my phone by dumping pics and music I was able to move all of my content out of keepsafe, uninstall and start again. Huge inconvenience but the issues seem to be resolved with the fresh install. No more syncing or crashing and the app is not consuming excessive space..Version: 10.0.10

✓ Had for 10 years, lost all my stuffAll my stuff says 0 kb and won’t load. I was kinda hoping after logging back in after a few years all my stuff would still be there. I got met with a false sense of hope. When I logged in all my files were technically there, but only a few of them had thumbnails out of 100. And every single one of them said 0 Kb. Every time I try syncing with the cloud it doesn’t work. I thought I might need premium seeing others talk about it. So I got premium and still have nothing to show for it. Spending the 10$ didn’t bother me as much as the false sense that my stuff was still there. I downloaded this app in 2012 and spent years collecting cherished memories. After 2015 I completely switched phones but never re downloaded the app. I just recently received an email saying if I didn’t log in soon all my stuff would be deleted. Completely forgot about the app and came back. Sadly I fear all my files are forever lost. Hear it from a veteran and someone who’s been with these guys for 10 years. ✓ PotentialFrom a user interface side, it has good security. Not sure how security is handled in the background. I don’t like the fact that KeepSafe does have the ability to see your content. It’s stated in there privacy statement. They state they only do it with a users consent but it be much better if it was truly encrypted. I understand if it was they could not help if some issue with a specific photo or album arose but I’d rather lose a whole album for the extra privacy. Maybe at least offer an option of no return. Also one thing that may be a deal break is, as others said, if you try to back up a large video or just a high quality video, the app, IF it even backs it up, takes forever. Like hours or days. ✓ Continues to get worse.I used to love this app for two simple reasons; you could import and delete from camera roll in a few clicks, and exporting back to the camera roll was natural. The ui was simple but perfectly functional. Slowly things have been getting moved around and now you dont export back to camera roll with one click... you have to hit "copy to camera roll" multiple icons into the "share" menu.. which seems like an odd journey to go through. The encryption is a great addition but is so slow it makes bulk imports impractical. This app shouldn't be too hard to make from scratch so its frustrating how janky it feels. And OMG the level of ads is a total joke. There was a time i considered premium, but now i’ll be out of this app the second i find an alternative..Version: 8.3.0
✓ BEWARE!!!’The app works okay but every time you open it they ask you to upgrade to their premium service. Usually, at the bottom of the screen, in very small print, you can click “no thanks”. Recently I opened the app and the small print was NOT there and I couldn’t get to my content and I could not get out of the screen. Some how I purchased the premium lifetime subscription by accident. I immediately contacted them and asked to cancel it and process a refund. They replied immediately and advised me no, they won’t process the refund. They advised there is a 3 step confirmation before a purchase is made. I did NOT receive 3 steps to confirm a $149 purchase. I contacted them again and heard back a few days later. It was the same response from the same person. Their replies are scripted responses sent to all customers and have not attempted to address my concern. ✓ Bit useless reallyPerformed numerous backups in the past. Today I deleted the app and reinstalled it as it kept crashing when trying to upload some images. After resigning in I noticed that a lot of stuff hadn’t backed up even though the the files were backed up ages ago. It’s clear that the app is broken, it says everything’s backed up when clearly that’s not the case. I pay a yearly subscription for this and it just seems like a huge waste of time now. So to all the people leaving positive reviews. Have you tried deleting the app and logging back in cause I guarantee some files won’t have backed up, regardless of if the app says everything is backed up. This happened to me in the past too but I weren’t sure the files had backed up. This time I was positive cause I let it backup even before deleting the app. Won’t be using this again. It just auto plays and you there are no video controls besides pause.. really? You can’t organize/rearrange albums you add in the app. They are stuck in the order you added them. Both seem like such obvious features to have. ✓ Was great, not just crap..This app use to be great; It did what it was intended to do.. keep certain files private. But then they went and added this “Shared” album crap. If I wanted to share the kind of files I’m using the app to hide, then I would just upload them to Google Photos or something. Also you can’t “copy” a file from one album into a “new” without it creating that album as a shared one... I DO NOT WANT to SHARE files so stop trying to force the crap feature onto paying users. And why cant I copy files to “non-shared” albums? I like to make a copy to a non-shared album so I can edit it, and keep the original where it is. And you can’t “delete” shared albums, also if you try to leave the album (being the owner) it locks the app up. They should have left this app along, and added the “share” option to another separate one, or make a option to turn off all share features. ✓ Terrible appDon’t even waste your time with this app. I’ve recently just had my final straw with it. I’ve had this app for years, and I’ve always had problems with it but chose to ignore them. Such as videos take so long to load when on and off WiFi it should be instantaneous but it’s not. My biggest problem is that this app basically slaps u in the fave and says buy premium or else. Like many I was conned into buying premium after my free trail. ✓ Fantastic but... notThis app is great for storage! You have the option to choose a custom color scheme for the display theme and choose between grid or mosaic display for media files in your albums. The app is compatible with photos, gif files, and videos. And the options to save photos/videos to your phone, move a file to a different album inside the app, and select an image as the album cover(s) are all wonderful features. And the option is given to delete files from your phone’s photo library once imported to help clean things up. The downfall, though, happens when uploading a video. Videos take a century and half to import. Understandably, they are larger files (especially when considering length of time) but it should take eight hours or longer to load. Importing videos seem to freeze the app. While you can still navigate in it, you cannot import anything for hours and hours when importing a video (even if it is ~20 sec) because the... well, I actually know WHAT it is but it’s inconvenient. All I can say is that the app is great. Except for this one critical piece that it claims to support. ✓ Works great - When it worksI don’t usually write reviews. But when my files have not backed up to the cloud in more than 2 years! (won’t share between platforms) there is something wrong. I can set my phone to lock never, leave the program open the entire night and it will still say 32 files uploading in the morning, or worse, the program will have crashed in the night and be back to my home screen. It also crashes a lot when trying to view a video, more often than not, and happens on two of my devices, so it’s not just a bad copy, it must be the program. You can’t blow up pics and zoom in like on apple photos, basic functionality like that is behind the times. I wrote to customer service, they wrote back, but when I asked if they would have access to the files in my account in order to help - no response. I bought the one time lifetime membership, so am now stuck. What crap - it now has filled my iPhone and I can’t erase the app without fear of losing all my content. Why doesn’t my iPad have my iPhone files and viva versa? The settings are set to backup to the cloud. What a load of crap. I have to close the app numerous times before it will finally import then it doesn’t ask do I want to delete the photos from from my phone afterwards. Now it keeps importing every single photo I have on my phone to the main album when I attempted to import only certain photos to a different album. I tried deleting the album I created but now it keeps importing to the main album and it won’t stop. ✓ KICKED ME OUT CAUSE I NEEDED SUBSCRIPTIONI really liked this app, it let me put pictures that I wanted to keep hidden. The fact that it let you have a password was absolutely amazing. But the app tricks you into thinking that you will be able to put all your photos in there with out worrying about storage. Until I have had the app for a few months, I already put personal photos in there and I deleted them from my original photos app. So most of all my photos are in this app. Until, I try to get back into the app and I see that it said that my subscription had ended and to pay for the subscription to get back to my photos. Then it says I have to download my videos when I thought they were kept on my phone in a safe place. Then I get an error message that says there isn’t an internet connection. However, my experience with Keepsafe has been less than satisfying, and I want to share my concerns. The major issue I encountered with Keepsafe is the problem when attempting to move pictures from Keepsafe back to the iPhone's Photos app. Instead of seamlessly transferring the images, they mysteriously disappear from the Keepsafe app, without any trace of where they've gone. I have checked the trash bin and deleted photos, but they are nowhere to be found. This is more than just an inconvenience; it's a serious problem. The core purpose of Keepsafe is to protect and safeguard your memories, and when it fails to do so, it undermines the trust users place in it. Moreover, I couldn't help but notice the lack of responsiveness from the app's support team when I sought assistance with this issue. ✓ Used to be great...until it wasn’tI’m a “premium” member, have been for a few years, and this app has totally gone down hill in the past year. This app used to be fantastic for photo and video storage, a great UI and super responsive. I could get my photos to sync across my devices and they even offered a Mac app. One day the Mac app disappeared from the App Store, and they stopped updating it. It became very buggy very fast. Then I upgraded to an iPhone X. Now, with iOS 11, the app is constantly locking up my phone, forcing a hard reset. On top of that, if I add photos and then delete the app and redownload it, even days after the photos are supposedly uploaded to the “private cloud” the photos are gone. Not synced to my iPad or other devices, just gone. I’ve contacted the support team about this and their only solution was to delete and reinstall, which obviously doesn’t work. Very disappointed in an app that used to be worth paying the yearly fee for..Version: 8.7.0
✓ A lot of issuesSlow to log in (5sec+) after correct pin to start browsing albums, sync problems, it will upload 10-20photos and then stop while screen is on all the time, then you go back to your albums and all content is grey (encrypted I assume). ✓ HORRIBLEThis is the WORST app ever do not download it, I uploaded a whole bunch of pictures to it and deleted them from my camera roll to save space. ✓ Good concept, slow back end network!It’s a great concept and I used the app for years! Unfortunately once it’s used the store video content the upload and download speeds are not really sufficient to make this app usefully! I have 1GbE internet and over 300Mbps WiFi so ruling out any local bottlenecks, one can assume that Keepsafe like many others uses one of the cloud based object storage products! Unfortunately either the speed of the disks, ingress or egress speeds are not sufficient, or perhaps the application throughput! Either way this app would be great without the inherent network bottlenecks it seems to have which become massively apparent when used to store video!.Version: 10.7.0
✓ THIEVESBe warned: DO NOT SUBSCRIBE TO THEIR SERVICES!!! They scam you into buying a full year subscription instead of a monthly one which you originally think you signed up for. But then you get a receipt for a full year payment!!!!! They think it’s alright to trick you into a full year fee through their monthly services. I am very confused how this is at all acceptable! I didn’t use the subscription for more than 15 minutes, so I contacted their customer services to ask for a refund, yet they were vulgar, and unhelpful in all aspects. All they think about is money and they don’t care whether or not you are happy with what you get. From the bottom of my heart, DO NOT BUY INTO THIS APP! They will scam you and not help you. They will scrape any extra dollar and not care for their reputation. Is this what you want to buy into? I bet you don’t want that! So leave this app behind and move on to something better, because all you will find here are dollar craving, customer abusing and power thirsty thieves..Version: 8.7.0
