✓ DishonestSure it’s got trading cards and even some free coins. But it’s all about selling you cards and ways to get cards. And for real money you’re not getting a card but a picture of a card. Printed signatures pictures of relics (all identical) show everyone gets the same picture. And the odds(!) of getting a limited card/picture are just untrue. They hide behind the notion that each pack has the same odds. It’s a computer program. There’s nothing random about it. Can drive you crazy—and take all the fun out of “collecting”. Basically fobbed off with this lousy excuse 'Thanks so much for contacting Tapjoy Customer Service! I’ve looked into your support request, and unfortunately, this offer is only an opportunity for you to engage with our advertisers - there is no currency reward for doing so.' ✓ Could be a dream…..I’m a life long baseball fan and father to 11 year old baseball player who introduced me to this app. At first I couldn’t put it down. You could earn coins on a timed system and collect cards all day. But I soon learned the app is about money. Your coins only purchase packs it takes a miracle to get the best cards in. And almost all them tell you plainly you can’t get legendary or iconic cards from this pack. But If you buy gems then you can get the packs with best cards. And most of the sets or packs you buy only give one of the type of card you want and the rest are all base or base variants that are useless. And the really good packs like Gypsy queen usually are sold out of the coin version quickly and they stay in the store for those willing to spend money to buy the gems to get the “super packs”. And you have collectors that will have 5-10 of the card you really want just sitting on them and refusing to trade them unless you give them half your cards that are a rarity above the one you want. I’ve spent money in the app and would spend more if it went further and the odds were better. Fix this please and you’ll have the perfect app for baseball fans everywhere..Version: 19.4.0

✓ New update is terribleThe new ‘flare for card reveal when opening packs’ is the worst. You used to be able to see the new cards stacked on top of each other, and could get really excited if you saw the corner of something special buried underneath, and would go through the pack as if it were a real pack to get to it. Now however, the cards are revealed one at a time in a row along the bottom, which is not enjoyable at all, takes longer, and i’m sure uses even more battery for processing. Why things had to change I’ll never know, but where i used to enjoy opening packs, the new layout is more annoying than anything and makes me not want to bother playing anymore..Version: 17.0.1
✓ Customer support and dev team uselessAfter running into an issue loading Bunt through my MacBook Air with the M1 Chip, I enlisted the help of customer service. Not only did the customer service rep not have a SINGLE idea that the app could run on MacBooks, but then proceeded to have me send screenshots of the Apple App Store to verify this. The customer service for this app doesn’t even know how their own application works. The development team has been searching for an “answer” for two weeks now and I receive zero response when asking for updates on the issue. Do NOT expect a stellar experience if you have any issue within the application that requires you to spend your own hard money to obtain anything of value..Version: 16.1.3

✓ You get less for more nowPrior to 2020, Diamond pack prices were considerably higher than they are now. However, for that higher price, you received limited edition cards with a low card count. The card count is one of the primary considerations in trade “value”. In 2020, and even more so in 2021, diamond pack prices have been dropped considerably however, instead of pulling a 50 card count super rare card (2019), you’ll now pull a 1,250 card count super rare (2021). Granted, you’ll receive plenty of common and uncommon cards for your 2021 diamond purchases but those cards have limited trade value. This app is both a collecting and trading app. I’m a longtime diamond purchaser but stopped making diamond purchases in 2021 because in 2021, you get less for more diamonds..Version: 16.4.0
✓ Turning into a cash grabThis used to be a great app for both fans who were all-in on digital collecting, and fans who wanted to have some fun with it without having to invest a ton of money. This of course came with tradeoffs on access, in-app resources, how many hits were guaranteed in a pack, etc., and everyone understood it. But lately, we’re getting more and more releases where “coin” packs don’t guarantee a hit, have an unreasonably high cost, don’t hit at anything close to the stated odds, and/or have a hard cap on how many packs are even available—of course, once they sell out you can still buy all the (also inflated) Diamond packs you want. But fear not, you’ll have 4-5 of the same “one time offers” to stock up on them! Most of the big collectors on the app are also pretty much impossibly to trade with if you somehow even have something they need. And you can find a LOT of big Bunt cards available in certain marketplaces for real money. Coincidence? Basically this app is turning into the current state of physical collecting, with none of the benefits of actually owning the cards..Version: 19.19.2

✓ A digital trading card app in which you cannot actually make tradesI previously had a 5-star review up, but unfortunately, the current version is completely unusable on my iPhone 4S because of constant crashes. The app crashes whenever I try to add a card to a trade, which means it is impossible to send trades. It also crashes when I attempt to view my "Pending Trades" or "All Trades" so it is also impossible to accept trades. I've tried force-quitting all my other apps, rebooting the phone, and clearing the app's internal cache, but the crashes still occur every time. ✓ Topps Tone Def in Response to CustomersTopps did an Opening Day contest that was supposed to run Thursday, July 23- Sunday, July 26th. The only cards app users could use for this special contest were cards for its opening day line. As a result, some users decided to spend money to purchase diamonds to get better cards. Topps also offered daily contests for hitters and pitchers. After just one and a half / two games (depending on how you count the rain-shortened Yankee-National game) on July 23rd, the daily contests were broken. The rest of the weekend provided users great difficulty in trying to set/change cards in the multiple day contest. Application error messages were constant. Multiple people were disenfranchised by what was supposed to be a celebration of a new baseball season finally arriving and reached out to Topps complaining about the numerous contest problems. It’s now Friday, July 31st, the contests from last weekend still haven’t been ended by Topps, yet the company is forcing users to update to its latest version, one that does nothing to address this issue..Version: 12.5.1

✓ All in app purchasesOk started playing Bunt with my son in order to bond over baseball cards. At first it was a lot of fun to collect and trade. However, this app is increasingly pushing to partake in large in app purchases in order to even have a chance at good cards. The odds of pulling good card using our daily coin allotment is smaller with every new pack. We drop a dollar here and there but have so always regretted it as we don’t get good cards even with small payments. The only way to “keep up” with others or have a chance at good cards is to pay a lot of money to Topps. ✓ Purple, not a free gameThe "game" is designed to force you into buying cards with real money and then making the purples you have bought worthless. But its ok... You can just spend more real money till the developers decide that they need to be useless to incentives you to buy the next thing. Normally the lifecycle of a card is for a whole season but with the gypsy and purple cards since the start of the season topps only wants cards you buy to be useful for one week. The community is dead, everyone leaving, trading is so hard as nothing worth bothering to trade with anymore. ✓ TradingPlease, please, please do something about your trading algorithm. When a card has 5000 copies, I should not be seeing the same 20-30 trading partners no matter how many times I refresh the list. This is making it impossible to find trading partners unless they are actively making posts in the articles. I get you probably don’t want to fix the trading so it makes us spend more money trying to pull our needs/wants. But I’m to the point where I’m going to give up on the app completely because it is so frustrating and time consuming to try to trade. But I can honestly guess at least 10 trading partners who are going to show up EVERY SINGLE time I try to trade that I don’t even follow. It’s getting the the point that if I don’t find a trading partner the first try, I give up. And I’m not talking about extremely low count, limited, or older cards. ✓ Virtual baseball cards save space.This is a good app for collecting virtual baseball cards. In the season you can use cards to participate in weekly competitions (dream team style). My main reasons for down-rating the app are: 1. In the off-season they reduce the number of free coins given daily but continue to release new packs with limited time inserts. When you could maybe buy 2 packs with your coins (on-season) you felt like you had a chance at 1:10-1:25 inserts (particularly if you saved your coins for a week). When you can only buy 1/2 or 1/3 of a pack.... You kind of think "why bother?". 2. The features in this app always seem like the 'old version' in comparison to the sister app Star Wars Card Trader. As soon as you spend your first dollar, you’ll see the true colors of this sorry excuse for an app. The content is amazing and best in the business. Where the app falls apart is customer service and COMMUNICATION with their core users. They acknowledged this in March of this year and had. “Town Hall” with a group of users. They claimed to “get the message” and promised “clear, transparent communication” in this “new build.” They have failed miserably and the app is littered with issues. Each new update seems to focus on fixing things that nobody cares about and ignoring the major flaws. There has been ZERO communication with us core users and these guys have proven year over year that they only care about your $. Bottom line, enjoy it for free. Many sets that you were able to save up free coins to buy are now limited in how many packs they let the community buy for those coins before they sell out. ✓ Poor support/money hungryThe support from topps has never been great and they have always cared way more about your money than you. Now we have reached a new low. With contests down for nearly two weeks now, all we have heard from them is one “we’re looking into it” article a couple of days after it happened and nothing since. They continue to put out set after set begging for our money and have even released a couple of updates since, but no word on the contests. Normally, I am frustrated with the pay-to-compete game, but accept it as part of the business nature of apps these days. Now, we simply want the contests to work, or at least, an update on what topps has done over the past TWO weeks to fix it. They have had an extra nearly 5 months to set the contests up and they failed on the first weekend. Hope topps will see this, actually listen to its customers for once, and respond. ✓ Terrible customer serviceAll of the Topps apps TOPPS BUNT,SKATE,HUDDLE etc are terrible when it comes to customer service they all have a contest feature when you’ve went in and collected either daily free coins or you have purchased coins from the coin store using your own money. As of right now with it being baseball season and a shortened season at that TOPPS had extra months to prepare for this season and when the contests came online they were messed up and non functional with a few hours and have been down ever since with no communication from TOPPS staff after multiple attempts from many members of the app. They told us they would have an update sometime Monday here it is Wednesday and still no update and the contest feature is still broken some of these players have spent upwards of $2-400 on coins/diamonds for cards they can play in these contests to gain an edge and nobody can get a response from TOPPS. It’s been very typical of them since 2012 When the app first came out to have many many issues with their contest feature and other features in their apps and take days to weeks to fix these issues..Version: 12.4.0

Pictures do not always display and you have to wait a while for them to do so. I watched how long it took for a pack to open and it is slow. Even on a new i12. This app is slooooow. When you use your coins for a pack. I noticed a little skip in the icon showing you it was generating the pack. Which leads me to believe that they are using algorithms to count hits to packs. If. I was spending money I would be very upset. And almost be inclined to report the to both Apple and Google for this. It is something to consider for both companies. Overall. ✓ HorribleThis used to be a great app but like another reviewer said it’s now just an ATM for Topp’s. If you spend money the distribution of cards very rarely lives up to the odds stated. If the odds are 1:35 it’s more like 1:50 or worse. I bought into Tier One Series 2 and never got one Iconic. I bought nearly 100 packs & the odds were 1:25 or something. The only time you beat the odd’s on this is with the base sets because they want you crafting so they load you up on green & red cards. Another huge problem is the trading room. It’s so bad that the guys who do spend money stay out for the most part. Kids constantly asking for trades & then they don’t respond. The guys who just get the free cards are always trying to get over on you. They ask for trades & will turn you down for a one on one trade with same card count, same set, same rarity. It’s frustrating. I spent well over $5,000 on cards just to find out that I don’t own them. They belong to Topp’s. It’s in the user agreement that you cannot sell them or transfer the account to someone else. Upon your death everything goes back to Topp’s. It’s funny because this is the company that cried about Upper Deck & other companies saturating the market now they put out limited edition cards daily & expect you to spend $1,500 a month. And now the app is so slow & constantly crashes. The whole thing needs to be thought out..Version: 14.2.1

✓ Spend money or be second classWhen you first begin collecting here, you might mistake Rare as being actually Rare. It isn’t. Nor is Super Rare. How about Iconic? Legendary? The best cards—especially Legendary—are available if you spend real world dollars to buy Diamonds. Otherwise, you should not expect to get them. In fact, we can’t remember the last time a card series offered Legendary cards for free collectors (coin users). The best cards are essential to be competitive in the fantasy contests. But the contests allow swapping your player choices during the game, which reduces the need for knowledge and requires eyeballs on the app. Seems like contests are for casual fans, kids, and app fans. The 2021 season is over, but the stats touted while the app launches are still from the 2020 year. Some cards are very cool. They take advantage of online tech. ✓ TRAGICALLY BAD AND WHAT A CONLet's regurgitate the same photos over again put a slightly different colour and background on it and call it a new card, get people to pay for them and you will only ever "own" lol, about 0.1% of all the cards. The actual app is a disaster. Frequently down and not working, when you then get it, it crashes or doesn't respond for minutes. Looking for your cards takes forever and the app is set up for a minute percentage of people to get the best cards and make a fortune on eBay by selling to totally gullible people who actually buy a virtual photo of a card and pretend they own a limited edition of a photo. So bad, sad really. Please if you have any part of your brain working do not use this app or any of the topps con apps. They make money out of you owning a photo on your phone. ✓ Odds are terrible.The removal of the search bar in trades is annoying. Yes, you just click the spyglass but that is still more than what you had to do previously, so it is counterproductive. The Trade feature is very frustrating. Often times when you search for a trade partner it comes up with no one, but try a couple times, you get a list of people- very glitchy! Then when you try to initiate the trade- back to No cards. This isn’t how you promote trading with your app. That needs to be fixed right away! Finally, Your “odds” are not accurate. Best case scenario is the stated odds but it tends to be greater, and since that doesn’t balance out, it is very frustrating to the point I completely stopped collecting a product because your odds were so skewed and it wasn’t paying out. The cost in diamonds for packs is considerably high based on price and the incorrect odds. I have purchased diamonds on a daily basis, as I try to complete a set, but the frustration with the odds/cost has me rethinking investing further and maybe just stay with base and tiers. ✓ You will get cheated from ToppsI have played this game for a couple years, but in order to play you will need to put a lot of money in for simple pixels. Several times a year they turn up the cheat by making you purchase diamonds in order to play. Then the bait and switch happens where they lure you in on VIP levels to snatch them away. In order to enjoy this game you will need to spend at a minimum $250 per month. If you like collecting cards try eBay, you actually get real cards you can hold and feel and not pixels. There support team is comprised of a bunch of monkeys that just send canned responses. They cheated me out of $250 and now the only way I get it back is challenge all purchases. I am done with this game. It’s a bunch of heartache. If I could have give zero stars I would have. STAY AWAY FROM ALL TOPPS GAMES!!!!! My account is/was Cubbie78..Version: 12.4.0
