IMoodJournal - Mood Diary for Positive User Reviews

Very usefulI am extremely happy with this app as I suffer with d.i.d along side bipolar so it is useful to show my professionals and family members my recordings especially on days I don't feel like writing in a diary. I would tell anyone with a mood disorder to give it a go..Version: 2.2.3

Works greatSimple to use app, with great reminder features..Version: 3.2.10

Easiest mood monitor app I've used yetGreat way to monitor moods using timed prompts, easy to select & colour-coded moods, option to take photo is a great tool. LOVE the hashtag options for ease of use. Needs an option to be able to add info/moods on past days you've missed..Version: 3.0.4

This app is excellent but could do withMy son is bipolar and I need to keep an eye on his moods whilst respecting his privacy. He e-mails me updates from this ap twice a week which gives me just the information I need. The graphs are very informative and we are already spotting a trend. The many mood choices helps. However, I have to remind him to send update and it would be helpful if this could be automated. Mum.Version: 1.2.1

My favourite mood trackerI've used a few different mood tracking apps, and I like this one best. It lets you add tags to your entries and see which tags are associated with lower or higher moods, and it has some great options for viewing trends. You can customise the moods and even the colours (which is good, because for some reason the default colour scheme has higher moods as red and lower moods as green, which I find incredibly unintuitive). It's also very easy to quickly record a mood..Version: 3.2.11

Great App!This app is incredible. It allows you to record your mood and track your ups and downs. This is especially helpful for people struggling with depression, anxiety or addictions. It helps the individual understand their triggers and give them a healthy outlet. Defiantly something worth buying!.Version: 1.5.4

Best one of these I have triedI have tried a few of these, and this is the best. It allows you to be as brief or as detailed as you want. It's fantastic for CBT and DBT, it just trying to understand what things are associated with moods. It can be used as a tool for just capturing snap shots of your mood overtime, or for more detailed journaling. It's particularly good and making you think what has happened in the lead up to your current mood. I really like: 1. Being able to change the labels on the 1 to 10 scale. 2. Being able to use the list of hash tags and create my own, so I can see what things are associated with different moods. 3. Being able to email and print the summary for any time period. 4. Being able to edit the date and time of entries, and make entries about things that happened a while ago, but I wasn't able to write it down at the time. Using the prompting as well as being able to enter data when ever I want is great too. Thanks for a great app..Version: 1.5.2

The killer app for mood trackingSkeptical in the beginning but the reviews convinced me to try it. Very content while using it..Version: 3.2.11

Best mood-recording app I've seen, with good export functionsIMoodJournal is a practical, workmanlike app that records moods, lets you see them in a variety of ways, and allows you to export your data. It isn't clotted with features, but it does what you need: I've found the hashtags and the long-term historical view useful, and I like the fact that I (and not the app) am the one who decides how often each day I should get a random alert to record mood. (As a nice privacy tweak, I get to decide what the alert message actually says.).Version: 3.0.4

Works GoodI just started using the app and so far it works like it's supposed to. I like the reminder sounds and being able to make my own notifications. Being able to add to the # moods. Not all of us have the same moods. I'll be back.Version: 3.2

Best I’ve triedI tried all the apps that came up when I searched ‘mood tracker’ and this one was the best. Really nice data visualization and the format for inputting your moods is simple but works..Version: 3.6.4

Excellent. Really well done.I use this app to help keep track of my moods as I am tackling depression and anxiety. It is helping a lot. By keeping track with #tags I can see why things are helpful and what is not. I love the way this app has been designed. Great interface. The functionality is very well thought out too. A++.Version: 1.3.2

Excellent appIt works as intended. I may not use all the features, but simply being able to write down my thoughts and feelings at certain times in the day is a really destressing activity..Version: 2.2.3

Great!Love the reminders. Would totally forget to use this app without them. Not intrusive at all..Version: 2.2.3

Flexible for many usesI track mood, but I also track some diet and sleep etc. using templates with numeric tags to remind me..Version: 3.6.4

I've used this app for 3 years and I love itI've used this app for 3 years and I love it. I've been able to track my mood, monthly and seasonally which has provided me with great insight into what influences changes in my mind/mood state. I also am able to track the physical pain I experience. When I don't have words to express my mood I take a photo and save either a selfie or a photo of my surroundings. I would recommend this to anyone looking to track their mood..Version: 3.2.4

I love this appIt helps me every day to track my moods. Easy to use, effective and visually appealing. The only problem I encountered was uploading onto Drop Box. It is good to be able to take my information from the app into doctors and other professionals who treat me for my Bipolar..Version: 3.2.13

Amazing app. Really heldulThis app has allowed me to get a better hold on my feelings and action. Thank you so much!.Version: 3.2.10

Like itI like this app, the reminders are good it would be even better if you could set your own reminder times..Version: 2.2.3

Useful and easy to useThis app is very useful for monitoring my mood and giving a real picture of how I'm doing. It's very easy to use and has great reminders to record how you're feeling. Would definitely recommend it..Version: 1.2.1

Brilliant app!I have recently been diagnosed with bi polar type 2 and had been recommended by my psychiatrist to keep a record of my ups and downs in some sort of diary format. I did this using a diary scoring my moods out of ten and then at the end of the month I would have to transfer the information to a graph which would take time! Then I discovered this app!! It's so easy to keep track of your ups and downs as your phone pings and reminds you to fill it in. It only takes 10 seconds and the great thing is it draws you a graph that you can even print out. Genius!.Version: 1.3.2

Not workingUsually an extremely reliable app, but latest update has caused freezing issues. Had to delete app (but able to backup and export 2yrs of data- great features) now all working again. Old school iPod touch gen 4.Version: 1.5.3

Brilliant for tracking moodsThis app is fantastic for helping to track moods and stressors, and the reminders it gives you to do so are well timed and very useful. The only thing I wish it did was have some way to sync between different devices. Would heartily recommend this app to others who find tracking moods helpful to their overall mental health.Version: 1.2.1

Great AppWhether you use it for tracking your mood or health it is a very handy journal to assist any medical practitioner with some history. Also handy for any patient to review what meds or diet etc. is effective..Version: 1.5.4

Great Reflective app, could use updatesA great app to reflect upon the ups and downs and especially helpful if you are in therapy and/or want to examine mood fluctuations. I have ADHD & Autism and suffer from strong moments of Depression. This app had helped me take steps to understand the ups and downs. It requires you to build the muscle to make notes during any intense feelings, but it helps show you the imbalances so you can tackle your individual goals. My biggest issue is that the app feels a bit dated. The way it syncs is old school, and I have lost a couple years of data due to its clunkiness. So be careful when you back it up. Do a manual backup as well JIC. Would love for them to gather some thoughts from users and do a 2023 update. That’s all :).Version: 4.1.16

ImoodLove this app!!.Version: 1.5.1

Brilliantly simpleLove this app, best I've tried to date. Quick and simple to use and the flexibility it gives you to look back and find patterns is actually really cool - basically does it all for you. Highly recommended..Version: 3.2.8

Simple and funVery easy to track your history. See what makes you happy and sad. A great app..Version: 1.5.4

Good appI have only used this for a brief while... but I like it. I am bipolar and tracking my mood a few times a day and making short journal like entries has been good so far for me..Version: 3.2.10

Best I've foundLong time bipolar struggles. This app makes it easier to keep track of mood swings. Would recommend this app to anyone..Version: 3.2.11

So simple that I use it, daily, for years. This is a perfect app. I have it set to ping me once a day and I record my mood. Takes about 10 seconds, so it's simple to use. As a direct result, I now have several years of trends accumulated so can easily see a period in my life when mood was slipping. This is often not quite so obvious in the moment, which is why this tool is so useful for me..Version: 4.1.16

BeautifulBeautiful and very helpful app, so much so that I can’t even believe the same person designed the icon! The icon looks cheap and ugly - can you guys update it to look more modern/in line with iOS11?.Version: 3.6

It's great. It's awesome I've found out so much about my mood swings. It's just a great little app. But I reckon it should have a function where you can share the graphs through email. That would make it a full 5 stars! :).Version: 1.1

Every updateI love this mood app. It works for exactly what I need without all the unnecessary bells and whistles. HOWEVER; it seems like almost every update kills the notification function, which I heavily rely on. They did it again this last update and there is no way to contact the developer to tell them it’s broke again. Otherwise, it’s a great app..Version: 4.1.12

So Far It's All GoodThe app makes you think about how you feel and what my be causing the problems in your life and possibly make a change for the better. Thank You for the app..Version: 3.2.11

Perfect mood journal for the lazyTruth be told I’m lazy when it comes to journaling. I have wasted a lot of mo eh on mood apps in the hopes that one would take. I have journaled everyday since I have purchased this app for one year straight! It alerts you to push a button how you feel and collects data that you can review. If I’m feeling like it I will add hash tags and notes. I can see cause and effects and it has changed my life behaviors dramatically. Thank you!.Version: 3.2.13

FANTASTIC!!!I suffer from Major Depressive Disorder & have found this app to be of GREAT assistance. After 18 years of dealing with this condition, this app has enabled me to see clear positive & negative patterns within my day to day life. It is more than just a simple journal documenting moods, it allows you to predict & perhaps prevent certain types of moods as best you can. I highly recommend this app..Version: 1.4.1

Fantastic! Finally a simple and personalised mood apps! this apps is like a little friend in my phone who I can tell how I feel trough out the day:) Even the logo of the apps on the phone screen is adorable:) I need to keep diary for my bipolar abs it has never been easier. Brilliant, thanks guys !!!!.Version: 1.5.4

Great appI've been using this app for a while and I really find it useful. I strongly recommend it!!!.Version: 2.2.3

InsightfulHelps a lot to track your moods for those with mental health disorders. Seconding more room or a journal option, would also like to be able to sync with email or something for use with health professionals..Version: 1.1

Mood DiarySlick app that works very well and reveals good pictorial impressions of how things have been going. Plotting medication I found tricky but eventually worked it out. This app occasionally forgets to remind you to rate your mood. All in all easy to use and fun to use..Version: 2.2.1

Great for tracking mood! This is the first app like this that I've tried, and so far, I'm finding it extremely helpful. I especially like that one has a limited amount of space for each entry -- it doesn't feel quite as overwhelming as an ordinary diary. It's mildly annoying that the reminder to back up pops up right when you have just created an entry and are about to record your mood. It would be nice if it appeared when you opened the app or something -- but not while you're in the middle of creating a record! Thanks! UPDATE 8/9/17: It would be really great if there were some way to search for tags on the positive / negative screens (to access them without having to scroll through all the tags)! Thanks!.Version: 3.7

Awesome SoftwareTry it by the end of the first week you will be convinced of the help it can provide..Version: 2.2.1

Love this app - so convenient! This app is by far the most fun and convenient to use for mood monitoring and the fact that you can enter a mood state at any time allows for a more concise representation of daily fluctuations. The #tag capability has really enlightened me as to what triggers changes in my mood state and I've only been using the app for a few days. Can't wait to log more data :) will be taking along to app with my psychologist tomorrow. Hope it helps in relaying how I've been going. Thanks!.Version: 1.3.2

Awesome AppGreat way to keep an eye on your mood. Great for monitoring anxiety levels. 👍 I use it every day. It gives a clear, quick indicator of my mood level, and also gives me an opportunity to do a little journal writing as well..Version: 3.2.13

Very goodVery good 👍.Version: 2.2.2

Brilliant. Just bloody brilliant.Have been using this app for about a year and a half and I love it. A fantastic way to keep track of your moods, with # tags to record specific triggers and photo upload to remember those great times. All in all, I love it! :).Version: 3.2.5

LOVE!! But...I LOVE this app! Working on figuring out my meds and it’s very useful in this process. HOWEVER (developers?) it’s crashing every time I try and load the graph which one of the most useful parts..Version: 3.5.1

Great little appThis dose exactly what it says on the tin it is a great help to see how your mood changes and what triggers you have also if you show the weekly and monthly review to your doctor they will be able to assess you much better if you have a Mental health problem as I do.Version: 1.3.2

Good app with data graphsBetter app than others I have recently tested. Easy input, clear graphs. Would like to see pre-populated tag option, to make it more efficient to track tags throughout the day..Version: 1.3.2

One of my essential appsA well designed mood app with excellent graphs. The backup to Dropbox and export features ensure portability of data. Best of all it is very quick to rate a mood and tag influencing factors – I can get it done in 10 seconds easily and enjoy using the app..Version: 3.2.5

Generic but usefulThe mood ratings are from bad to great, essentially. There are no specific types of emotions or feelings like anxiety or sadness. So, you will only be able to track your "goodness" of mood. I have a specific issue I'm working on, so I try to separate that from my overall mood and rate that..Version: 3.2.11

Fantastic, just a few tweaks neededLove the hashtag function and the 1-10 rating. The bar graph is an excellent way of displaying the info. Two small critiques: 1. The colour scheme is awful, and that weird smiley face at the start of the app is a little creepy! 2. I wish the positive/negative hashtag data took into account confidence intervals, because currently you can hashtag something once as a 10 and it will appear on the top of your list, being very unrepresentative about what usually might make you feel good. Thanks and I look forward to seeing more tweaks and updates, it's a fantastic app that I've found very useful! It encourages you to reflect upon what makes you happy and sad, which is excellent..Version: 1.3.2

Good, some persistent annoyancesGood: Love the warm-to-cool color palette. Saves ratings. Easy to see trends when scrolling back through history. Annoyances: The WatchOS app always assumes a Siri dictation. Most of the time I don’t want a note, just a rating. So I have to tap “cancel” for the dictation, which looks odd, since I don’t want to cancel the rating. The iOS app sometimes (10% maybe) pops up a dialog when I save a rating, then immediately closes it. I’ve never figured out what is says. Wish list - stats: mean, mean by month, mean by day of week - larger color-coded trends: a whole month or year at once - export my data so I can correlate it with other things.Version: 4.0.10

Great journal! This app really helps me keep track of my mood. Quick and easy. And I can be detailed about times when I'm in an above average or below average mood. I've been using it for at least a year and a half..Version: 3.2.11

Really useful for mood and pain diariesI have used this app for over 6 years now across many phones and versions of iOS. It works well and developer addresses any issues as they are reported. It has a simple interface that just works and makes it easy to capture regular information with a score. You can then output this in graphs or a fairly comprehensive PDF report. You can configure options such as sounds and reminders, how the scoring system (1-10) works and also add #hashtags and templates. Can’t recommend this enough. Especially if you are looking to keep a pain diary..Version: 4.1.14

Really good tool!I use this app everyday to check-in with myself. The mood tracking, using hashtags and a few notes in the journal help me identify what I'm feeling and why. It's been enlightening. I have unipolar depression and GAU, and it helps. My therapist appreciates it too because I use it to record my meds, and because we can see how I've been feeling over time. The export to PDF and email work well..Version: 3.2.11

Great App!This app is really useful for learning and tracking the things that regularly effect your mood. It's been a really useful tool for me. Highly recommend 👍.Version: 3.2.11

Just great! This is so helpful to me. I am not someone who would bother to keep a track of my feelings, so this is a positive thing to do for me. I like the reminders. It's almost as if someone is asking how I feel, like someone cares... It's good to look back at too, as it reminds me what I did on a certain day. When I take a photo, I would like to be able to change my mind about it and cancel, i.e go back to previous page and post, instead of having to press cancel and lose my journal entry too-unless I am doing that wrong? I would love to be able to choose custom colours for my moods too, then as I look back, I can picture how it felt, if that makes sense? THANK YOU for this brilliant app. I think it can change lives by alerting people to patterns of behaviour, the reasons and people behind them and even to get help, if needed. X.Version: 1.3.2

Favorite Mood Tracking AppI love this app. It gives me a lot of space to genuinely check in with myself and see where I am throughout the day. It’s interesting how much my mind fluctuates. I’m not fond of being prompted three times a day, but I like that it forces me to examine myself and see how and what made my mood fluctuate. It helps me identify my triggers, or, rather, evaluate them better..Version: 3.5.1

Simple and EnjoyableA simple, informative and enjoyable app to use for mood awareness. The photo album is a lovely therapeutic feature. It is a terrific app for therapeutic use or simply for self-knowledge and monitoring stress levels. Glad I downloaded it. Worth the price..Version: 2.2.2

ExcellentSimple and effective way to track moods and recognise potential patterns..Version: 3.2.11

Very helpful for bipolar!Best app for keeping a mood chart and being able to make sense of the fluctuations. Very practical and simple. The charts helps you to analyse and understand better the illness. I tried many apps and this is the best..Version: 2.0.1

BrilliantLove this! So easy to use. Can measure your mood by your own words. Sets up reminders so you can check in and rate how you feel as frequently as you want. Helps me massively.Version: 3.0.4

Love love love!!!!Great app for tracking mood. Only been using it for a day but will report back when got a months data. A month on and still like it - I would love to be able to export the data to something like excel..Version: 1.1

Useful tool for wellnessHas been great to identify when mood is at its best and worse and why? Great insights..Version: 1.1

Well worth itI evangelize this app more than any other. Simple to use. It has helped me through the most difficult time in my life. Keeps me honest about how I’m feeling and aware of the causes Easy to use with good visualizations. I like the ability to see the overall trend and different analyses like day-of-week and time-of-day.Version: 3.2.13

Have used them all and this is the best by far!Have used just about every mood tracking app for my bipolar and this is the only one that strikes the balance of simplicity, gentle reminders, ease and speed of use along with long term benefit of graphs etc. Can be customised with notes or tags on individual entries or kept quick and simple by just tapping your mood (on a pre-made and customisable scale of 1-10). As it comes it's totally simple and very usable for most people, but if you want you can tweak the times of alerts reminding you to input a mood, or change the default moods to suit your lifestyle better. Like I said I've used them all and this is the only one that I rely on now to keep daily track of my moods. All in all, would highly recommend!.Version: 3.2.8

Great for bipolarBest app I've found so far. I like that I can write my own Label for the scale and input multiple times throughout the day. I do wish there was more than scale to make tracking different symptoms easier..Version: 1.5.4

I just wish it could do more than one mood a day.Text entry is weird using an iPad. You can't see what you type after a few characters and it's hard to edit once done..Version: 3.2.11

The BestAfter trying several of these types of apps I finally found this one which meets all my needs. Works perfectly and the environment is slick. I love this app and find it to be very beneficial. Great job! Also love the #hashtags and ability to add photos..Version: 3.2.12

Excellent mood tracking appEasy to use, does the job perfectly. Great job devs!.Version: 3.2.11

GreatI find imood great for helping me download the bad days and appreciate the good ones.. Helps to understand that that there are always ups no matter how bad things seem.Version: 3.0.4

Great app!Simple and useful..Version: 2.2.2

PerfectEasy to use, simple, and effectively customizable. I use the hashtags to track exactly what is causing my mood. Perfect for me..Version: 3.2.5

A great helpCertainly a useful tool to help track your moods with reminders to instantly catch ur feelings at a point in time. Also great being able to create PDF files with your data and giving it to your health professional.Version: 1.3.2

AwesomeIts great for have a good laugh when u re read your notes #love it.Version: 1.5.4

Love This AppI have been using this app on an off for 9 years’. Probably one the most helpful apps I have ever used for my mental health. This app eventually led me to checking in automatically by myself now. I just use this app occasionally when I notice a change in my mood and want to track it..Version: 4.1.16

Great way to View overall wellnessEasy to use chart n u can set it up to ask you a few times a day how ur feeling n to rate urself fm 1-10. Would be even better if it could then be exported into a calender as I tend to put quite a fair bit of information about my physical and mental state..Version: 1.5.2

<3It's a great app for remembering old memories that you wrote down :).Version: 1.5.4

Very usefulBoth me and my doctor love this app. I have reminders set for various times of the day and the app lets me track various moods on a daily basis. It is incredibly helpful..Version: 2.2.2

Better than I expectedMy healthcare professional suggested mood journaling and handed me a big sheet of paper. I knew that wasn't going to work! I've been using this app a week so far and I'm very impressed with how robust and helpful the summaries are. Getting to hashtag feelings that map with moods has been especially helpful!.Version: 3.2.11

Simple and effectiveVery simple and effective app - better than others I've tried. Would be nice to have some more options in settings but it's good..Version: 3.2.7

Great app, time for an updateThis is a genuinely useful app for mood tracking - would have rated 5* if it synced data across devices. Looking forward to that feature being added soon..Version: 2.2.2

Really neat even though I would like some changesAs a bipolar this is an awesome app. The ability to capture immediately how you look and key words/feelings is awesome. Things I wish: 1.Moods were individually colour choices - not mucked by a scale 2. When you choose a feeling or word take it out of the list for that capture - I don't like thinking did I already put this? 3. Alphabetize the list (I know you can type the first letter but it would be a nice option) Still amazing!!!.Version: 1.5.4

Love it!Extremely helpful, and easy to use. I'm learning a lot about myself using this system. Taking selfies at different times was revelatory and affirming! Thank you!.Version: 2.2.3

Really Helped My LifeI can’t say enough good things about this app. It’s not life changing, but it can give you the information about your life to make those changes. It gives you the ability to customize the colors of the different numbers on the mood scale. This may seems like a small interface thing, but for me it’s really a really important feature. Moods are tied to feelings and it’s critical those colors feel right to me. The latest updates have also fixed some bugs with the reports and graphs. Thank you so much for this app. Please keep it coming..Version: 3.5.8

Good appEasy, attractive interface. Good functionality. Would be nice if you could track overall mood for longer than 3 months..Version: 3.1

Best mood tracking app by farThis app is truly amazing. It is perfect for tracking my moods. My doctor finds the reports really useful, too. Highly recommended!!.Version: 3.6

Psychiatrist approves!I've been using this app for well over a year now and I love it. It's simple, easy to use and I like how I can set reminders AND best of all my psychiatrist thinks its great. The graphs are very helpful to him. Really happy :).Version: 1.4.1

ExcellentHaving suffering major depression, anxiety and paranoids in my every day life, this app has helped me through in a way. I normally write my feelings down but this app is easy to use and the graphs makes it easier to see how my moods affect my day at certain times..Version: 1.4.1

Fun and easy to use.I can easily track trends, and entry is fast and simple. Good design..Version: 1.5.4

Great features, just what I need but backup issuesThis app has just the features I wanted and more. There’s a simple scale that you can customise and recording those values is charted on graphs. The hashtag journaling features is a stand out feature I didn’t think of as requirement but I am sold on its uselessness when helping you map what affects you and how. I record my photo daily but I’m not entirely sure if that’s of much worth to me; will have to se over time. I would have given this app 5 stars but the Google drive backup doesn’t work..Version: 4.1.16

Great AppThis app is great, I just wish the graphs weren’t as confusing. And I feel like there can be a little more extra things besides a picture to see how you look in that mood or your location..Version: 3.5.9

Best app ever!I kid you not, I used to be one of those people who set a brand new diary for the year and pledged to write in it every day - I always failed. This app is an innovative approach to diary writing! I have never missed a day since October last year when I purchased it! I highly recommend this app! You will not be disappointed, I guarantee you..Version: 1.5.4

Great mood trackerMy therapist recommended I get an app to help track my mood patterns. This one is great, user friendly, you can customize a few things, you can use hashtags and it will count how often you use them. There is room to make notes, and you can take selfies with each mood entry to track how your looks change with your moods. You can easily send copies of your journal to your mental health professional if need be..Version: 3.2.11

Great tracking deviceI have been using this app for about two weeks now and find it very easy to use and keeps track of my moods with reasons why using #’s. My psychiatrist likes the collated spreadsheets as well and approves of this app as well..Version: 3.2.13

Gives you hope!I never write reviews but this app is saving me! In the depths of depression after a break up, i can see that things are progressing and it gives me hope things will be better! Gives you a real insight into the ups and downs you go through which gives you hope that when you're in a hole you'll soon be out of it..Version: 1.5.4

I actually use it!The other free app I was using didn’t give me reminders, so this is super helpful. Worth the $3 (and I rarely pay for apps). Much easier to use than a journal. You can customize almost everything in this app from colors to your mood ratings. I wish it were possible to search words that you didn’t hashtag so you could find trends in people or situations that were affecting your mood. And I wish it were social so that if your friend noticed you were down, they could send you a message. If the search and social parts were improved, I would give it 5 stars..Version: 4.0.4

Imood journal!Great app I love seeing the changes in how I feel and what changes that, it's a really got app, and totally worth it!.Version: 1.5.4

Really goodIt's really good. Allows me to see how I've been doing lately and the hashtags can help to show if something is causing some sort of drop/rise on mood, along with the graphs on days and times. Definitely the best mood tracker I've tried. Highly recommend..Version: 1.5.4

Love it but different colours pleaseLove it! But surely red should = bad and green should = good. Not sure there is anyone who uses a RAG rating would have red as good !! Note to Devs - Had a look at the settings but appears to be no way to change the colours, it’s only possible to change the words..Version: 4.1.16

Amazing App but...I love this app and I would love to give it 5 stars but I work nights and no matter how I try to set my mood tracking reminders, the app flips the AM to the Start and PM to the end. I want the app to remind me 10 times, over the 16 hours that I am awake, so I set the start to 5pm and the end to 9am. What happens is, I get 10 reminders to track my mood between 9am and 5pm when I am sleeping and then zero while am awake. I tried to set it to just remind me 20 times between 12:00am and 11:59pm and it reminded me 20 times in the minutes between 11:59pm and 12:00am..Version: 3.5.6

Amazing appThis is an amazing app for anyone trying to track their mood & possible triggers for mood swings. The ability to add photos to each log really showed how much my appearance changes with the change of mood. I am bipolar & have found this to be one of the best apps for mood tracking. Thanks. #Amazing.Version: 2.2.1

Great appThis is a very high-quality, useful app. I love being able to customize the colors, I like being able to do my own labels, and the tags feature is inspired. I've been tracking my mood on paper on and off for years, but this app is extremely convenient, makes the data easy to interpret, and is just fun to use. It covers all the basics you'd expect, including reminders, plus a lot of nice extras that you can use or ignore. I've been trying out two other apps that contain mood journals, Pacifica and MoodKit, and while those apps have additional features their mood trackers aren't nearly as customizable or enjoyable to use (although Pacifica's is a 6 point scale rather than 10, which some may prefer.) MoodKit's in particular only lets you record one mood per day (who only has one mood all day?), which is not a problem with this app. Update: well, not a whole lot has changed. The map feature is kind of neat. I have reminders set to random and sometimes I get two in one day and sometimes I don't get any, but otherwise the app works so well I don't care. I've been using it for two years and am still quite happy with it..Version: 3.2.11

Great for those with mood disordersI use this app as part of my self-care for my bipolar II disorder. This app also assisted me in being diagnosed with this disorder a couple of years ago as I was able to show the doctor that I had been experiencing a sustained pattern of highs and lows for many months..Version: 1.4.2

Has Help MeAt first I thought I was wasting my time. But if you keep it up and be honest to yourself ! ! It will show you the TRUTH you might need ! ! I also later used it 2 time a day and the results are even better Good App.Version: 1.5.3

Useful Reminder!I find this app a very useful reminder to step back for a moment & focus on my feelings - by asking what I'm feeling it calls my attention back from any negative thoughts that any have crept into my mind & gives me a good opportunity to redirect myself towards something much more positive. When I'm feeling good to start with, I find entering the appropriate hashtag & a smiley face to be excellent positive reinforcement. I use it every day, & love it :-).Version: 1.5.4

I’ve been using it for yearsThis app is a workhorse for me, I’ve been using it for years. It has a neat and easy system to record medications, sleep and anything else too..Version: 4.1.16

Almost stellarI like this app, however, I feel like it would be that much better if it had more level charts for different moods (ex: anxiety, depression, body image, etc). Overall great little program though!.Version: 3.2.5

Perfect! Extremely helpful tool! =)I have cyclothymia, and this has been one of my main tools (in addition to medication and therapy) toward wellness. I needed an app where I could identify trends in my mood, and track my progress over time. This app does exactly that, with some extra features that I appreciate. It’s simple to use, and the app looks great. I like the custom colors and reminders. I record my mood three times a day, sometimes with notes and sometimes without. It’s so quick to just log how I’m feeling that I don’t forget or put it off until later (unfortunately, I also have adult ADHD, and this happens a LOT!) The data it gives me is extremely valuable. I’ve been able to identify a lot of trends in my mood shifts with the hash tagging and notes, and then use that knowledge to help myself. I’m very clearly able see the progress I’ve made over these last couple of years with the graphs. If you’re debating about whether or not to give it a try, please do. It’s been amazingly helpful and I’m very appreciative to the developers. It’s been a valuable and important tool in a difficult journey..Version: 3.5.2

Best appI enjoy using it, very easy to use!.Version: 3.2

Keeps me sane.I've been with this app since November last year we've made it through thick and thin together. She's lovely to talk to and cares a lot about what I have to say. Thank you Imood for being the software for my heartware..Version: 1.5.2

Use it for mood, but so much else!Use it for mood, but so much else! With it’s simple tagging system and downloadable spreadsheet, I document all different types of things on here - sleep, exercise, diet - your only limit is your ability to use hashtags creatively!!!.Version: 4.0.12

Check your mood over a period.Simple to use. The Reminders and the backup to Dropbox are handy..Version: 1.5.4

Great AppLike being able to capture my moods & track as well. Like that it's password protected.Version: 2.0.1

Very good appEasy to use with excellent interface - just needs to allow the possibility of customizing the titles on the basic scale and it would be great. For a person with a mental illness top of the scale is "insanely great" ? I think not. Stigmatizing and inappropriate.....Version: 1.2.1

My only wish for this appI wish I could track my stress and focus in the same way I can track my mood on the 1-10 scale. For me there is a relationship between my mood, stress, and focus. It would be great if I could layer two trackers on the same graph.Version: 4.1.16

So far so good.Paid for this bcuz well I’m bp lol anyways so I read all the reviews and so I bought it I just need someone to help me out with what the “template” part is ? What am I supposed to do with that ? Lol it’s pretty much simple but I don’t get the #’s or how they keep track but if someone explained this to me I’d be veryyyy happyyy! Lol ty good luck BP BROS N SIS ✊🏽.Version: 3.6.3

Very helpfulThis app is so helpful! I love that you can track you moods with photographs as well. You can personalise everything & find out what is triggering certain moods, or use it just as a journal. Thank you!.Version: 1.4

Great AppThis app has helped me track my moods, something I find helpful to my mental health and well being. By noticing how I'm feeling I can pick out patterns and focus on improvement. It has reminder alarms and that helps me remember to fill it in. Great app. Really impressed..Version: 2.1.0

Psychologist ApprovedBought this app to review for a client. Easy to use. Love the tagging. Generates great insight. Highly recommend..Version: 2.2.3

Super useful, usable, and nicely designedThis app is great for logging your feelings. It has good customisation options that make it versatile depending on how you want to use it, it can prompt you to use the app through the day (great because I always forget), and has the practical option to export to PDF (and you can choose the date ranges). Also, customer support has been very responsive the one time I’ve interacted with them. Definitely worth the price in my opinion. Also I know my friend’s counsellor is impressed with the report she sends her, and has found that very useful as part of their sessions..Version: 3.6

Good appGood app to keep a record of your mood...the report you can export needs fine tuning...it keeps going back to your start date and it uses large font so you waste a lot of paper...that is the only downside if you like to print a report for your doctor....Version: 1.3.2

Great appThis is a great app for tracking mood changes and the symptoms of depression (in my case) and understanding patterns. Could make it a bit easier to edit the default hashtags but that's a minor gripe. If you want to log and understand how your mood varies across the days and weeks then this is for you..Version: 3.2.10

GreatBest mood app I've found. Very helpful for remembering how I felt over a period of time to discuss with my doctor..Version: 3.2.10

Fabulous AppI have to monitor my moods, and this app has solved the problem of having to jot notes on bits of paper. I've shown it to my Dr and he's recommended it to many others. I wish I could donate towards the developer..Version: 1.3.2

Very goodBetter than the others I've seen so far. More comprehensive and well designed. Just get rid of that awful smiley image at the beginning please, it looks a bit tacky! perhaps consider adding more analysis features such as hashtags that commonly appear together or a web app to analyse more easily.Version: 1.4

So helpfulI love everything about this app. It lets you create posts with so many elements. A little journaling, add a picture, a location tag, even hashtags that are grouped into positive and negative. They also offer a wide range of moods to pick from when you start the entry. It tracks trends and shows overall patterns which is super helpful for tracking my moods..Version: 4.1.14

Good for meI like it, it has made me realise that most of my crazy type moods are not me alone. Hubby can be very frustrating and I did a # That says "do not allow yourself to react" so now when this kind of behaviour appears I go to ipad and imood and # and smile at my comment. As most people we all have our up and down time I am very lucky mine are just moods. I think this might be of help to people who are not so lucky and need meds. Took me a while to sort out how to use it but then I had not read the "instructions" as I did not realise they were there, as most ipad stuff is intuitive🤔 Only just worked out that you can type in a relevant comment instead of using the hash tags which suits me better A couple of months on still using and it is keeping me a little saner, most of the time🌟 Thanks.Version: 3.2.5

Has stopped working.I attempted to use this app for the first time with iOS 13. Previously I successfully used this app for a year. It now doesn’t work. Sometimes entries can be made, sometimes not. Entries cannot be edited. This app has become useless. I use an iPad Pro 2nd gen 12.9. Do not waste your money..Version: 4.0.12

This app is AMAZING!!Best in it's class!.Version: 3.2.11

Excellent appI’ve used the iMood Journal for over a year now. I really like it. I use another Bipolar app along with it. What I like about this one is I can see how my moods ebb and flow over the course of the day. It also allows me to add moods and information that effects my moods so I’m not stuck with what the app maker thinks is important and should effect my moods. I recommend it greatly. My psychiatrist is also able to check my graphs for each month and determine if a change in medications are needed and to see how I’m doing at a glance..Version: 3.7

A good way to remember the good timesAs someone who suffers from periods of depression, I use this app to remember the good times during the bad times. That gives me the drive to write up my day when I can’t be bothered..Version: 4.0.7

GoodReally useful app, the coloured graph is very clear and good to view fluctuations in mood. The ability to leave notes is great and makes up a little for the lack of variety in mood choices. I also suffer with bipolar and add and find the mood choices way too simplistic when I can feel many different shades of very irritable, beyond happy into excitable and beyond that into a bit manic which might be the top end of the mood spectrum but is completely not nice. I can also feel calm (scratch that! Very rarely😄) and anxiety on different levels. It would be good if these kind of feelings could be charted too other than just in the notes, as the sort of people needing to track their mood, probably want to track this too. The reminder is a good idea, but I find the noise annoying so will see if I can turn it off. Other than that it's the most useful mood app ive found, but could be way more useful with the additions mentioned.Version: 2.2.0

Excellent GraphingI've been using a different using a different tracking app for few months when I found this app. The graphing in this app is excellent. It is great being able to view the mood with respect to a week day and time of day. Very useful in being able to see if particular days (e.g. weekends) are worse than others. The in-app display is great however exported reports could probably use bigger plots. Very quick and easy to enter a new mood and the #tags are quite useful to note down key points. I do, however, miss being able to record multiple things. In my previous app I could track sleep hours, excercise, triggers, etc. while this can be done to a limited extent with #tags it isn't quite as good. so for now i will use this app for mood and the other app for others. I was very excited to hear about csv export, however I haven't seemed to get it to work :/ it just emails with no attachement. Not sure if just me or not....Version: 1.3.2

Great app - a few bugsGreat app would have given 5 stars but reminders do not work. Even though I set up reminders to occur randomly between 2 times I never get IOS notifications of them even though notifications for this app are turned on in IOS..Version: 4.1.8

Builds emotional awarenessReally helpful in checking in with how you are feeling emotionally and physically which helps trigger awareness even at times when the app isn’t reminding you to check in..Version: 4.1.3

Everything a paid app should be!This is a great, great app. Very compact and streamlined, does everything you want and doesn’t clutter it with things you don’t. Very non-intrusive and very good at making mood tracking second nature. The Apple Watch companion is similarly well thought out and minimalist. Being able to very simply and easily dump the database to Dropbox and analyze it however you want is awesome. Seriously, buy this app! No social media connections to monetize what you’re doing, no crufty “ecosystem” hooks designed to upsell. This is a model paid iPhone app. Don’t mess around with the freemium junk. Pay a few bucks for this one, own it, use it, and get on with your life..Version: 3.5.9

Potentially life changingI was able to track my mood changes with different medication to see if it was having positive effects. I was also able to record what affected my mood and notice any patterns..Version: 3.2.11

A few request...pleaseI really like the ease of use. It would be great if we could search/save named locations. For example search for A business and saving locations I go to regularly. Saving “Home” & “Work” things like that. Also, if we could scroll through all the “#” on both the phone and the watch. Or a short list of “#” based on the mood chosen. Love the app!.Version: 3.6.4

Sweet spotJust easy enough to be bothered doing frequently. Just kitted out enough to make it both interesting and useful.Version: 3.2.10

Best mood appI love it, it's great knowing you can track your mood up to a graph and look back to see why you were happy or upset! I am really enjoying it!! :-) best few dollars I've spent in awhile!.Version: 1.5.2

AmazingThis is a very well thought out and designed app, it is so good for people with mood disorders. I've tried so many different mood apps and this is by far the best, I love the fact you can change the colours and names of the moods so I've added on "tired" "isolated", I've got different moods that I track and it's so useful for that. Great app! Very worth the money ☺️.Version: 1.5.2

Great appI suffer from anxiety disorder and found this to be a great way for me to track and share with my psych. Easy to use from kids to adults..Version: 1.3.2

Must Have For Bipolar Disorder!I am so glad I paid the small price for this app, this app is AMAZING! Everything about it is incredible. As someone with type 1 bipolar disorder, this is what I've needed for a long time. My doctors encourage me to do mood journaling and this is the easiest way for me to do just that. I think the choosing your mood part is the most important part but being able to journal that specific feeling makes me more likely to keep up with journaling because I can type out my feelings. Being able to back up your info I think is a great bonus. Thank you for an app that works!.Version: 3.2.11

GreatThis app is very easy to use. The idea for tags: excellent! Very insightful for self analysis. It's just lacking a few features which one hopes will come with updates but otherwise, the core idea and implementation of this is great! Keep building on this and I'm sure you'll see more downloads and coin!.Version: 1.1

Does everything it says it willHappy with it.Version: 2.1.0

Awesome app! This is great for tracking my moods. It helps establish a pattern and find triggers to negative thinking. Love it!!.Version: 1.5.4

Great appExactly what i was looking for. Tracking my mood helps me be intention with my attitude. 1 week and already making a big difference..Version: 3.2.11

Best bipolar app I’ve triedLove it. Very straightforward to use but with sophisticated graphing and logging system. Comparing the hashtags is incredibly useful and much easier than keeping a journal and trying to spot patterns yourself. You can customise the mood levels and colours easily and also have the peace of mind after using of knowing whether, for example, you just feel rubbish at 4pm every day or whether you need to watch for other symptoms. Clean, intuitive UI, and very easy to log. I love the selfies feature too as it has helped me show my family and partner that I just look ‘grumpy’ all the time and it’s not them. A+++, 20/10, 5⭐️, thank you so much for making my constant, medically necessary tracking so much easier..Version: 3.2.13

Superb!!This app is incredible! It has more features than anyone could ever use, however it quite likely has anything you would ever want or look for. The developer has gone out of their way to include many suggestions from users. It is also very user friendly..Version: 1.5.4

Excellent AppI've been using this for over a year and it really assists me I'm understanding my moods and what affects them..Version: 2.2.3

#1 game!Really good and shows you how your moods are always changing i love this game and think it has made my life really fun because every day i want to do something fun just so I can put it on my imood journal!!😋😆😋😆.Version: 1.4.2

GreatGreat if you want to keep it simple, or are needing something more complex..Version: 3.2.10

Really useful appI love this app, it provides a lot of insight into my moods and helps me figure out why I feel the way I do. I think you get out of this app what you put in. Using the hashtags feature and the daily reminders helps make sure I don't just write entries when I feel particularly strongly, and links specific triggers to my mood. It's also interesting to look back at my moods and see how I actually felt at the time, rather than having my memory coloured by how I'm currently feeling. Really great app!!.Version: 3.2.2

Worth it!I wasn't sure about that app, how can it make any difference in my life. But I've been using this now for a while, I've given this app a chance and I have to say, I'll keep using it. With more information you provide then better it shows your mood change and tells you quite valuable details..Version: 1.3.2

Great!!It helps me a lot since I have trouble verbally speaking my problems and it helps just to express them. It also helps to recognise my mood pattern and to see if my depression is getting any better..Version: 1.3.2

Working well for meI wanted to see if I could identify triggers for mood swings. This app is great because it allows me to see patterns over the day, or across different hours of the day or days of the week. Also, being able to tag different factors means I start to see mood effects from certain people, activities or environments. I'm finding it really useful. It would be good to also be able to go back and edit the comments, a few times I've thought of extra things I haven't been able to add..Version: 2.2.2

Great!!Personally I love this up it helps me cope with my emotions… I recommend this to everyone! I have been using this for about four years now that’s a long time thanks so much for such a good app!!!.Version: 3.5

A usable mood journalSimple and effective, no requirement to log into a web portal or similar (which suits me). I've regularly used this one since I got it in June 2015 (unlike) others I've tried. Good luck to no with Apple Watch too, though I'd like the custom moods I've created in the iPhone app to show on the watch too..Version: 3.1

One of my most favourite apps. This app has helped me so much over the past couple of weeks keeping track of my mood, medication, side effects and how I am coping with things. It also helps you learn more about your mental health and what could trigger something like stress. Very useful for me and so easy to use and keep track of. Thank you !.Version: 1.3.2

Great helpI have found this program such a vital and useful tool to keep a-track of my moods and progress, but particularly lately when dealing with tremendously traumatic circumstances, to track it's effects on my health and mood, and accurately document causes and effects of stress, as well as the events of the day..Version: 1.3.1

Ripper of an appEasy to use, easy to interpret the data once input. Some nice functionalities, and a general pleasing aesthetic. It gets better and more useful with each update. Overall, it's been great, and really helpful. This app really has enabled me to restore balance to my life. :).Version: 1.3.2

Great tracker:)This is the best tracker I've found, the tagging is really useful for identifying triggers. It's great being able to capture moods at any time and the graphs are perfect. If I'd add anything it'd be extra tracking for sleep, stress and suchlike but the tags take care of that pretty well and the simplicity and focus is awesome. I got it after being diagnosed with cyclothymia and it is everything I hoped it would be:) Great stuff..Version: 1.2.1

UsefulDoes what it's supposed to well and simply..Version: 3.2

Great easy to use app!Easy to use interface. Don't need to be a Uni professor to be able to work it out. Graphs and additional info is fantastic. Can really be helpful in figuring out daily, weekly and monthly trends and why they may be so..Version: 1.3.2

Great tracking toolEasy and quick to use, love the charting features..Version: 2.0.1

Great app, but can it have?...Love this app. I have a diagnosis of bipolar and it has been very useful for looking back and understanding mood fluctuations. It has however made me question my diagnosis, it looks as though my moods switch around similar times of the month so could be related to hormones? A graph that showed fluctuations over a period of a month would be really useful (developers 😉) But in general, this is a brilliant app..Version: 4.0.4

FantasticThis app is great on two fronts. It's a very effective way of tracking your moods which gives insight into the triggers that make you happier or not (which might surprise you)! It's made me realise that moods are only temporary. But it's also a beautifully and professionally designed app..Version: 1.5.2

Love this appI really enjoy it and find it helps me understand my emotions. Even if I choose not to create an entry, the reminder helps me be aware to check in with my mood. I have modified the prompt and colors..Version: 3.2.11

Perfect app!I have tried over 20 apps searching for a good one to track my mood, this is the perfect one! It lets you personalise it to a scale to suit you and also gives you an easy to read graph to show your results. Couldn't be happier with this app.Version: 2.2.3

Mood monitorAwesome app, easy to use and great to monitor your moods. Love that you can leave lil comments, and that I can set reminders to remind me to rate my mood over the day. Great app, well done ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.Version: 3.0.5

Great mood journalThis will really help you keep track of your mood and any triggers. I am bipolar and find it really helpful to track any potential triggers. This app will help you keep track of things!!.Version: 1.3.2

Easy to use, interesting to track.Been using this for a few months now. I find it interesting and useful to watch my moods, see how my face changes and identify what patterns there are and how they correlate to whatever I've been doing or eating. It's a useful tool if you are struggling with mood changes or possible mood disorders, plus it acts as a mini diary too..Version: 1.3.2

InvaluableExcellent tool for those who suffer from bipolar disorder..Version: 3.2.7

Helps me keep track of my moodsAs someone with mental illness, tracking moods is vital to help my doctors provide care. I’ve used this app daily for over a year, I highly recommend using this app..Version: 4.1.11

Love this app and all its featuresMy therapist recommended getting a mood tracker to follow my daily up and downs and iMoodJournal does a great job. the charts, backups, and tracking have made it an indispensable part of my daily journey. Thanks app devs!.Version: 3.2.11

Extremely helpful.I've been using this as part of my therapy to identify my feelings, relate them to the thoughts I've been having, and track my moods throughout the day. I have gained a lot of insight as a result of using this app. I highly recommend it..Version: 3.2.11

Effective & BeautifulThis app had a lot of thought put into it. Very easy to record moods throughout the day. The reporting is useful and beautiful. I really like the calming gong that reminds you to log your mood. I actually look forward to it. (You can turn the gong off if you don't want it.).Version: 3.2.3

Très utile!La seule chose qui me déplait c'est qu'on peu pas modifier les écrits une fois que c'est enregistré !.Version: 1.5.3

Get this app!Very user friendly, simple, easy to use. The more often you record the more data you have and the better the graphs it creates for you. Interesting to learn more about yourself - I love it!.Version: 2.2.3

Well designed, easy to use & effectiveA good working solution for people with diagnosed mood disorders. Reminds, you to make entries, measures mood, tags moods; analyses, graphs and reports moods. Send automatically updated data to your health professionals and easily backup your data. It's also very easy & intuitive to use..Version: 3.0.5

Great little appFor the short of attention and unreliable of memory, this is a great little simple interface app for logging mood in order to be able to look back over the data and use it to gain more awareness of what sends you up, what brings yoh down and what keeps you on an even keel. Well done and thanks for the life tool..Version: 1.2.1

Easy to use, solid mood trackerI've been tracking my mood for almost 4 years with this app. It's biggest plus is it's simplicity. It makes it really easy to use, so there are very few barriers to entry. They've also done a great job of keeping it up to date and working properly.Version: 3.2.13

Excellent app for bipolar and mood trackingThis is a fantastic app. It let's you track your mood and what you're doing then AND present it to you in a very colorful and interactive manner. Sure, some improvements could be made such as 1) having an iPad app 2) fixing a bug that pops up once in a while trying to back up 3) having a randomized prompt for logging moods rather than fixed times (having both options would be great!) Despite the imperfections, I still gave it a five star because it makes mood tracking so much easier and interesting. No more long hours manually inputting data on paper and trying to plot a graft. Keep up the great work!!.Version: 1.5.4

Useful appReally useful for quickly tracking your general mood. The journal part let's you keep more detailed notes about what was going on in that moment. The graphing feature is neat. If you use it regularly you can really see your ups and downs. I’ve been using it to see if medications are helping or making things worse, and am finding it really useful for that. Nice that you can back it all up with Dropbox. Would be awesome if you could track physical symptoms of depression/anxiety, too..Version: 3.2.11

Great for mental healthGreat app for tracking moods and determining triggers. Charts could be slightly clearer but hopefully this will change with updates; overall a great app. I would love to see a space to track sleep as this is a major trigger for mood disorders..Version: 1.2.1

Premier League AppThere should be Premier league membership for this great app. It has excellent functionality without going to excess. in addition, you get the full version when you buy it not an ad infested screen until you pay more for the real version. You are able to use it without logging in to a distant unknown galaxy and you don't get a legal agreement requiring the services of a specialist lawyer from another dimension..Version: 1.2.1

SpectacularAmazing. It's perfect for tracking moods and emotional patterns. Also easy to use!.Version: 3.2.10

Easy an effectiveA journal has to be quick and easy to use else it won't be. This is, and is good looking and well designed Had always been good and continues to be so Recommended.Version: 3.2.11
