✓ Good but....In order to get this model viewer to work they have had to strip it down to the basics. Which it does well albeit slightly blocky. I would also have like the inclusion of a sectioning tool like on the pc version of E drawings. But I am not sure the IPad could handle that smoothly. Early days though... It works better than the downloadable viewer I have from the same company on my iMac. ✓ Works perfectlyA little surprised that I had to pay for this when the iPad version is FOC, but still pretty cheap. Works perfectly with my SolidWorks2014 files. ✓ High quality renderingI've always been impressed with this app's feature set. Originally I used this on an iPhone 5 and while the frame rates were pretty good the rendering was horrible. ✓ I love this app but the AR doesn't work in the update.I have gone through the process of sending myself the target but the app doesn't recognize that the target is present. All of the rest of the app is fully functional, I was just very excited to use the AR functionality. Looks like there are some still some bugs to be worked out. :(.Version: 3.0.0

✓ EdrawingsDownloaded this and found it worked well and good value for money. Using on iphone 6+ so models are clear and easy to zoom pan rotate. Only down side i found was that you could not file the models anywhere.. They are just in one long list. After a day i up graded to edawings pro so that i could section and measure and rotate. Not sure it is worth the extra and there is no upgrade saving route from edrawings to edrawings pro. You have to pay full price for pro. Overall would still recommend for anyone who needs to reference models without carrying a lap top..Version: 3.3.1

✓ Good but needs workOpened my parts and assemblies instantly and I was able to manipulate them smoothly. The controls are well thought out. Well worth the price to be able to do just this. However, 1) The program has a video to demo the AR feature and it cannot play it without stopping and claiming you need to close all apps to free up memory. 2) You can't change the scene or add real view graphics and shadows. 3) I was unable to see the decals on my parts and it was very important for me to be able to see these..Version: 3.2.0

✓ Great for viewing!It's not as elaborate as the PC version and crashes on some of my large assemblies, but it's a very intuitive. I want to be able to use 3D PDFs on an iPad, and since that's not possible, I will also provide the SolidWorks assemblies for those viewing my documents on an iPad. For that reason, I would like to have the same features in this app as Acrobat Reader on a PC/Mac offers when viewing a U3D model. Namely, I would love to be able to hide some components of the assembly and make cross-sections..Version: 1.0.1

✓ Pretty good!It's not obvious how to load eDrawings into the app (you have to email them to yourself) a clue in the help screen would be helpful! It has the odd problem with transparency which causes complex assemblies to flicker a bit - but not a show stopper. My iPad (IPad 1, 64Gb) keeps reporting memory low in the app - but it doesn't stop it working. How about only reporting errors on screen if they are going to cause a problem? It would make the user experience better - particularly if you are using it as a presentation tool. On the whole, I'm very impressed. How about writing a thin client drawing editor? I can use SW via LogMeIn and it works fairly well. Some sort of subscription based thin client where most of the processing happens remotely and the iPad is just viewing the results would be very useful! Si.Version: 1.1.0
✓ No problems yetI just got this so I can look at some class files without having to be at a computer, and I haven't had this app for long, but it's doing everything that I hoped it would. I just email my files to myself from a school computer, open said email on my phone, and then tap the attachment and open it with edrawings. ✓ Use with a File BrowserYou need a file management app for this app to work. This app works great at work with all of our SWx models. I use File Browser to find the models, and "open in" "Copy to eDrawings". Pulls them off the network no problem. SLDPRT and SLDASM files. I haven't tried marking up prints yet. That's the next step. May need to upgrade to pro for that. Also, no section views with this version. Maybe that's in pro as well???.Version: 5.0.0

And is so intuitively easy to control two points of contact with screen to pan or zoom, one point to rotate. As if the cad was encased in a clear spherical ball that you could rotate. ✓ Awesome app but needs improvementFirst off the Augmented Reality is just amazing! Definitely worth the cost of the app on it's own. ✓ Perfect!I recently began using SolidWorks under a sponsorship for an engineering challenge. I absolutely love the software, however presentation of the CAD files was difficult and inefficient requiring my laptop (I use renders for 2d presentations, but being able to present a design in three dimensions makes all the different). I now use the AR feature of eDrawings constently for it provides an increadible way to quickly and accuretly show people designes without having keep prototypes on my person. Furthermore, the ability to make components in assemblies transparent or completely invisible is increadibly useful for showing exactly how a design fits together as well as internal structures. Overall, this is a great app and definetly worth the money..Version: 5.0.0

✓ Nice App - Few BugsGreat to finally see this on the iPhone. Works really nice and super fast on iPhone 5 with a few bugs. When exporting an eDrawing file from Creo/Pro Engineer the explode function does not seem to work. If you save the eDrawing in its exploded state, it will open in the app as such. The exploded icon is greyed out, but if you press the home key it unexplodes the assembly. After this there is no way of exploding the file again and you have to reload the file. Not sure if this is the case when exporting/loading a native SolidWorks file. That's really my only bug....otherwise it works well as it is intended. Don't expect to much from the iPhone version though...it's really just a viewer with a few bells and whistles. I mainly use it on the fly when talking to clients/tool makers....handy to zoom in and take a screen grab and be able to email what you are talking about etc. I'm sure this app will be developed and supported really well, as SolidWorks do a great job in general..Version: 2.1.0

Saw some glitches when changing the view of large assemblies where components disappear until the view stops moving. Other than that the app is great and very useful.
