✓ Exactly what I needed for my cellarThis app, after looking at many, does all I need and more. It tells you a glance which wines you need to drink and which are still maturing. All with a beautiful and easy to use interface. Will handle just about any cellar design in a graphical format and allows for easy movement of wines through your different racks, to either sell or drink. My few questions to the developer were answered within minutes of being asked. Best service ever! Being able to sync iPhone and iPad will ensure my cellar is always up to date as I can record changes on the go with my iPhone. Excellent value for money and your data gets backed up offsite for free. My last cellar management program cost me $80 and $35 a year for updates, and that was cheap compared to what some systems charge. This app does more than even the expensive programs. To the fellow that couldn't work it: this program does heaps of things and will take as much or as little information that you can throw at it. You add your wine and tell it which cellar it's in. When you open the cellar you tap on the wine and then where you want it to go. Couldn't be easier. There are videos you access from within the app to show you every detail and how to use it. I am not affiliated with the developer; I've bought this app a few days ago and after importing all of my wines from another program have am very impressed with all this does and amount of assistance I've received to my questions..Version: 1.2.1
✓ A tool for all wine loversI don’t have a particularly large collection of wine, but for an individual and a regular single-family household, I have a lot of wine. It’s stored all over the place and sometimes it’s difficult to know where exactly it is. This application allows me to say what I’ve got where it’s from all the really important nerdy details about my wine, but also where I’m storing, it was on my household how many bottles I have. I’m about to add my distilled spirits to the app. Original review below: Bought this several months ago and entered the info from my small collection (less than 100 bottles, but growing slowly). Relatively easy data entry, lots of categories for information; more than I'm using at the moment. Occasional terms have odd English titles, but nothing that can't be easily discerned. ✓ Solid appThis wine storage app is solid. It isn’t perfect, but with a little work you can get a lot in this. You can separate out all the different places and configurations and include other things if you choose. I had a few hundred bottles on hand and it took me a while to get it all in, but think any tool would require that work. ✓ Excellent appThis app is somewhat intimidating when you first start to use it, because it has so many features and is so versatile. You could, I think, use it to run a wine business, so there is a lot in it which the ordinary wine enthusiast won't bother with. I most particularly liked the facility for 'mapping' your wine cellar. In my case, this means that I can store bottles anywhere in a large rack, and still be able to get my hands easily on the bottle I want. But, above all, I like the basic ability to review the wines I have, and to pick the appropriate bottle for the appropriate occasion..Version: 3.0.2
✓ Comprehensive cellar management but lacking a back end databaseThis is most comprehensive cellar management app that I have tried. Although a little bit complicated to use with lots of clicks and input required, doing so does allow you to capture masses of info on each bottle. It is also nice to be able to record a bottle's location in my cellar to avoid having to constantly pull at bottles to read the labels. On the downside, all inputs with the app are painfully manual. It would be superb to have the ability to photograph a label and have key bits of information pre populated (producer, wine, year, etc) similar to Vivino..Version: 3.1.0

I love being able to photograph and therefore read the labels without disturbing the bottles, and the amount of detail catered for is massive! ✓ Great app!Excellent application for anybody storing wines. You can enter lots of info about the wine, setup various storage areas (each uniquely shaped), add ratings and tasting notes. It takes a little practice to learn how to enter wines quickly, however ability to copy wine cards speeds up the process later. One thing to note is that when adding bottles fields would cover the whole batch purchased but later each bottle becomes a separate entry. This means if you made an data entry error, for example incorrect purchase price, that would need to be re-entered for each of the bottles. The support process was excellent. I asked if it was possible to add an Australian wine reviewer to the ratings menu and it was done within a few hours! There are a few improvements I would recommend: ability to select wines closures (cork, screwcap, diam etc), ability to select multiple values for the same filter, statistics on purchased wines (bottles purchased per year, amount spent per year etc), custom alerts (e.g. drink now, single bottle), add ability to launch or navigate to the producer/supplier website, add ability to attach tasting notes (typically PDFs), remember last setting for each screen (e.g. on the Stored screen sort by winery (ascending) and thumbnail view, on the Rated screen sort by rating (descending) etc)..Version: 1.6

✓ Just what I was looking forUpdate - I've been using this app for over 1 year now and it still continues to impress. Regular substantial updates and these guys listen to their users. Still an easy 5 stars for me. Hats off to these guys, this wine cellar management software is top class. A great deal of thought has been put into this apps components and the interface makes excellent use of both the iPad and iPhone's strengths. I'm using my iPhone for entering bottles and taking photos whilst using the iPad to remove, review and peruse the cellar and reports. Previously I could only find this functionality (even less) in a more expensive PC database and it frequently needed auditing as who wants to fire up a PC every time you open a bottle? Now rather than double handling printed lists my wine cellar is with me at all times. The support seems excellent as well, I lodged a request for an appellation correction and it was done within hours. It will take some time to input your wines, that's to be expected with all the fields available, but the interface makes it a nice experience and the result when you see your complete collection with all the photos and instant reports is extremely satisfying. There is also an import function if you have a cellar listing in another program already. Personally I haven't seen a better wine cellar app on the market. Check the help vids on their website, it's what convinced me that this is what I was looking for. Happy to pay the price for this level of quality..Version: 2.2.3

✓ Over engineered!Undoubtably a top App but wow, it’s really (really) difficult to use! A very steep learning curve! Other than soundless and pretty scrappy videos there is no real help when you get lost, as you most surely will! If the developers would provide WRITTEN INSTRUCTIONS it would be huge improvement on watching fast moving videos! I’ll stick with it but it’s so frustrating leaping around literally hundreds of options, few of which you even want! ✓ Tout simplement parfait!Après avoir perdu beaucoup de temps à essayer d'autre applications qui finalement ne m'aidaient pas du tout a gèrer mon cellier j'ai finalement trouvé! effectivement la reconnaissance des étiquettes n'y est pas mais la base de donnée est vraiment complète ce qui facilite la création de l'inventaire, si votre vin n'est pas dans la base de donnée c'est que je n'ai pas utilisé les bons mots pour le trouver, en fait, un seul vin sur 83 vins différents n'y était pas, je l'ai crée en 3 minutes. j'ai pris moi-meme les photo d'étiquettes ce qui se fait tellement facillement. je viens d'ouvrir une bouteille, elle apparaissait sur la vue de mon cellier sur la tablette 3, rangée d'en arrière, 4e a partir de la gauche. je l'ai marquée comme ''bu'' je n'ai pas mis de notes de dégustation puisque je connais bien ce vin du jeudi soir. grace à votre application, il est super simple de trouver un vin ''rouge'' ''Portuguais''d'une valeur entre 20$ et 25$ que j'ai acheté chez notre distributeur provincial qui n'est donc pas une bouteille que j'ai recue en cadeau, je vois instantanément ou elle est dans mon cellier qui contient 172 bouteilles. merci Beaucoup, cette application pourrait facilement se vendre plus cher! essayez cette application, c'est celle que vous recherchiez!.Version: 4.1.1

✓ Excellent programmeI have been using another program, Wine XT For many Years and this is a huge improvement. The app appears a little complicated at first but after a short time I found it easy to use. There are also great instructional videos available online. If it was simpler it would not have the features that it does. Many great features – you can add tasting notes from Jancis Robinson etc together with comments as well as your own tasting notes. It synchronises extremely well with iCloud and although the web Version as opposed to the app is a little basic, I understand that the developer is working on an updated version with many improvements. It is also very easy to add bottles to your seller and to move them around within the seller. ✓ Useless databaseLooks pretty, but the so called 1 million wines database is completely useless. The first 5 wines I tried to put in were not recognised including Cloudy Bay Sauvignon Blanc 2019, which is one of the world’s famous wines. It appears not to have any labels for my of the wines that are in the database .. at least I couldn’t find any. I’ve asked for a refund. My advice is don’t buy..Version: 3.8.6

The style of the latest release required a bit of re-learning but all the features are still there and now find it even easier to add, find and update wines. ✓ Good wine storage and tasting appI had the previous version of this, vinocello, but the support was withdrawn and it was impossible to move your wine data to a new ipad. I was somewhat irked to have to pay for the new one, but the data is stored in the cloud, so easy to back up and move around. The app doesn't yet do everything the old one did and which is in development e.g. Allow bottles to be shown in individual locations in a store. But if you have a lot of wine laid down and want to know what you have got, what you've drunk and where it is, then this is a good app. It also records tasting notes, prices and you can add professional reviews and scores. Bought this 5 years ago now and we refer back to it a lot when buying our wine, based on the data we choose to input (not all of what you can) and the scores we give the wines when drunk. I like to visit a wine district and, with my wife, cycle around the cellars and taste wines. This software is comprehensive and intuitive. I have immediate access on any one of my devices. I wish it could remind me that I have forgotten to record a taken bottle ( just joking ).’. I love this app. My 1200 bottles are nicely stored and we ensure that turnover is maintained. We do have label and bottle photos but we don’t place the bottles in the cellar. This is my laziness and I can struggle to find what I am looking for. The app is an excellent investment, with a cost only a small fraction of my average bottle price. Updating the above review, I find this product error free, intuitive and a pleasure to use. ✓ Very slickHave tried various other apps and websites for tracking wines and this is the best I could find. User interface is excellent, visualisation of cellar racks is superb. Adding wines is very easy and has a search facility which then pre-populates various fields which can also then be changed if you wish. Also stores tasting notes which is very handy. Why not 5/5? I am very demanding and there are a couple of things that would make it 5: ability to store more photos and store them associated to specific bottles. ✓ BrilliantI started using VinoCell begrudgingly as another app failed after a Mac update. Once I converted the data I was so happy I had and would never ever go back. Data syncs between iPhone, iPad and you can load it on Mac via cloud. Updates appear immediately. Setting up is easy. I cannot rave enough. It's brilliant. ✓ Brilliant funI don't have an extensive "cellar" but am interested in wine. This app is great fun and very useful. I do most of my editing on my iPad and then sync to my iPhone so when I am buying wine I can easily check whether I have had a particular wine before, whether I liked it and whether the price has remained the same or gone up or down. Really recommend this app, it is also very useful to find a wine in your wine rack without having to pull them all out to read the labels. It takes some effort to put all the data in and keep it up to date but it really is fun. The one downside is it reminds you how many bottles you have drunk and it's usually too many!.Version: 1.7.1

✓ My wine cellarI built a 800 bottle wine cellar in 2004 and was terribly frustrated by the daunting task of managing the inventory of wine. I found VinoCell by accident. Has most attributes covered and allows you to review and filter your stock in pretty much every aspect. Would be great if more fields were covered when selecting the wine via search icon such as the grape varieties and their percentages were automatically filled in. ✓ Best cellar app I've used so farI've been searching on and off for a decent cellar app and VinoCell is it. The app does take a little getting used to but this is mainly because of its truly encyclopaedic nature. Don't worry about getting everything right first time, nor is it necessary to complete all fields, as it's possible to go back and fill in or edit pretty much any of the information input at any time. I have all my wine (both in bond and at home) now catalogued. It took a few hours over a weekend but wasn't too onerous a job given the fact that the app can be accessed via the web or mobile device. I encountered no issues syncing data across devices. I've used and discarded a few wine apps over time. I can see myself sticking with VinoCell for the foreseeable future. ✓ Very useful toolIn the spirit of research, I tried couple apps to find the best fit for my newly built and growing cellar (700+ bottles). My criteria includes: 1. Good shelf defining and mapping so that I could locate a wine quickly; 2. Good data structure, easy input so that I can build my own little database with picture, price, score, pairing and notes; 3. Easy searching and sorting; 4. Multi platform access and cloud backup. Turns out VinoCell is the winner and matches all these. Cell tracker is a strong contender with its own rating as a plus, biggest problem is it does not offer the cellar shelf mapping capability which is soooo important for home cellars. I highly recommend VinoCell as the best choice of home cellar management app tool, which I have endorsed to many of my wine buddies already. The only problem I see here is the wine subcategory classification seems quite broad. I guess they meant to design for all wine, liqour and spirits, so they don't have vertical domain classification for wines such as noble wine. I would expect this to be improved soon so that red wine or white wine themselves can have their own subcategories..Version: 3.5.1

I just wanted to keep track of the wines I’ve tasted and add some simple tasting notes so I could buy the good ones again. Now I’m adding pictures of the labels, adding pro ratings and notes, links to the wine makers website and attaching PDF brochures. I’m now inspired to start building my own wine collection again. Entering new wines is simple, and adding multiple bottles of a particular type at once is easy (it prompts you to add however many bottles are to be stored). The amount of detail and information that can be applied to the wine is quite comprehensive, but the user can choose to limit the info to whatever is important to them. RecommendedI’ve been using it now for several weeks, still haven’t entered all wines, but found the app useful and very rich with the amount of information you can enter. Given it 4 instead 5 stars because of usability flaws; it sometimes takes a unnecessary number of clicks to complete an operation, for example adding a label photo takes 5 clicks when 2 would be sufficient. Some similar programs have label recognition against their database, which would speed up entry, while with this app you have to type the name and search against their database. I’ve noticed that the database has a lot of duplicate or very similar entries. Similarly, when adding a new bottle of an existing wine, if you fail to go into that wine and add a bottle, but create a new identical wine, it won’t warn you or offer to edit the existing wine. The developer has made a great effort and created a very good and useful app. With some usability corrections a very good app coupled become a brilliant app. In the meantime however, I will continue using it and can recommend it..Version: 3.5.1
✓ Second to none!They just don’t come any better than this app for storing your wine collection and taking note of tastings and preferences. I used to worry about finding specific wines in my chiller cabinets but with this app all I have to do is tap the bottle I want and it tells me which row/column and slot it’s in. You can write as much detail as you wish in the formatted cells and interrogate the database by any feature such as grape, winery, country, region, vintage, when to drink etc etc. I’ve used it for a few years now over which time I’ve found no other app anywhere near it..Version: 3.8.1

However there is one key feature which I would really like to see added-the ability to scan a wine label in order to access that wine’s info and add it to my inventory (similar to Vivino).
