✓ This is amazingI've had this game for ages. I don't know how long exactly maybe like 3-5 years? I got a new iPad as a surprise and didn't back it up so now I'm from scratch but that's ok. I have so many good memories of this and might be a key part of my childhood. I love this game and I think it deserves 10 stars tbh. And you don't need gems to do everything as you can watch ads or just wait and it'll still be fine. Gem mines are also available. All the additions to the game have made it so much better and got me really excited when they came out! Ethereal island and fire haven and bone island and fairie island and lots more just made me love it even more. I played it when I was 5-years-old on my step-mother’s iPad and I freaked out when I saw the developers actually responded to my review! I love this game so much, but there are so many ideas I have for this game, I just want to get one out. But, I get it. You try your hardest to avoid suggestions probably because you don’t want others to think, “Oh, the devs just made THIS persons idea because they played the game 10 years ago” or, “Oh, BigBlueBubble did this because of this!” I get it. I understand. I just want to get an idea out so it isn’t hanging over my head. An island maker will be amazing! And I’d still be happy to see it even if it costs $9.99 on another app, but I’d still be happy and willing to buy it. Just don’t go crazy with the price. Ahem, anyway, moving on. I’d be really happy to make a monster’s animation and have instruments to make sounds or just upload an MP3 file! You can do frame-by-frame, or upload an MP4 or video and crop out the background if it is RGB value 255, 255, 255! Sorry about the other sentence. ✓ Great Game!I have been playing for over 2 years, I think, it’s been so long I can’t remember. The way I downloaded it was the ads were annoying so I wanted to stop them. It was worth it. I do have a few problems but this game is a masterpiece. My problems are that when an update is coming, the monsters in the collection book move and it bugs me. Like I get u have to do it, but I’d wait until the update is ready to do it. I also want wubbox on celestial island. I just want to make it like 1,000,000 coins tho bc of how hard it would be to get. ✓ My life has been fufilledSo before I started playing msm my life was useless my wife divorced me she took custody of the children she took my house and my life was falling apart. I was on the brink of ending it all but then when I was shopping for a rope an add for msm popped up and my eyes lit up I immediately downloaded it. When it finished downloading I also finished I came 50 times in a minute. I downloaded it and the characters brought me so much joy listening to the music their beautiful voices created after a hour of playing I quit my job and decided to dedicate my life to msm because they also saved mine they brought me out of a dark place in my life. ✓ Really awesome game!I love this game to bits and pieces, it’s beyond fair to us free to play players and it’s addicting too, I play literally everyday and always look forwards to seeing what new things and surprises and monsters available I’m gonna wake up to. I recommend this game to anyone because even if it’s slow to get started on everything, once you get far it feels entirely worth it and it’s easy to catch up to those who’ve completed every island, but in a fun way and not a “everything is so easy” way. 10/10. I’m mainly writing this Cus there’s a bug happening in my game (and not the new mythical haha) and I don’t know where else to report it. I think this is because of the seasonal event update on gold island, but ever since the update my seasonal monsters on it that aren’t Jamboree won’t sing at all during the song. (Hoola, yool, blabbit, punkleton, and schmoochle). Which is a huge shame because Schmoochle’s part of gold island is my favorite! They’re not on mute or anything and I’ve had the song on loop multiple times and even tried restarting the app, but they still wont sing. ✓ Would’ve given 5 but..I’ve seen this game advertising for a while now and I finally decided to try it out. I actually do like this game which I though I never would. Don’t judge a book by its cover situation. Anyway the game is very fun and I love the singing monsters. You can get coins pretty easily however all the cool characters cost around 200 gems and that cost real money. For $5 you only get 100 gems. For $24 you only get 500 gems and for $49 you only get 1000 gems. Each character cost 200 and up so you’d have to spend quite a bit of money to get the cool ones. I think you should get more of your money’s worth, I won’t be spending actual money on this game because it’s a waste. You don’t get your money’s worth so I suggest not spending it on this game. Another thing that I find extremely annoying is the ads. I understand it was a free game but so is clash of clans and I’m not getting ads on that game. Everytime I click on this game I get ad after ad after ad. Extremely annoying when I’m just trying to collect the coins and food quick I have to wait for an ad. This game is impossibly hard without spending real life money because the game is constantly trying to bait you into buying diamonds and stuff and the amount of forced adds is more than I’ve ever seen in 1 game so don’t try force people to do things and not expect complaints Maybe you can do a major update changing the money system to be more fair to people who don’t want to use Micro-transactions for it so PLEASE just do it! I saw Lankybox playing the game and decided I would buy it. So far it’s the best game ever. You can unlock new islands by collecting coins from monsters, daily rewards, spinning a wheel and much more. The monsters are great singers, too. My favourite monster is the Kayna. You can download the game free, and there are in-game purchases, but you can do just fine with or without them anyways. The game is awesome, too, because you can breed and buy monsters. You can also get wubboxes. My favourite one is the cold island wubbox. The monsters work together greatly, too. Each island is a different unique song, too. ✓ Incredible!I used to play this on my grandmother’s phone as a little girl. I have my own phone now, an I recently went to my cousin’s house and saw him playing it on his mother’s phone. The nostalgia hit me like crazy, and I was impressed at how far the game had come. I remember my grandma had islands filled to the brim with monsters. So did my cousin! He said he’d been playing for awhile now and that you couldn’t get sick of it. Anyways, I decided to download it on my own phone and it was a great choice. I’ve been playing for a week and have three islands, Plant, Snow, and Rock. The whole battle thing was new to me, and I was impressed with how neat it was. All in all, this game is a great choice. They do have adds which are frustrating when you don’t wanna spend money to get rid of them. But in-app-purchasing wise, you really don’t have to buy anything. If you’d like to get rarer monster seasier, you can spend diamonds which you can technically earn, but they’re a lot of diamonds so you probably will spend some bucks for them. This year though, a lot of the fans came back and I got into the game. This game is really fun, and has good taste in it. I love the updates (especially on Light Island), and I feel that this game is never going to die. However, with popular games come fan-made games. There are many that I may not know about, but there is one that stands out to me. Raw Zebras, “The Lost Landscapes”. This fan game is very popular, and they recently released a public release. However, (this is to BBB by the way) BBB made Raw Zebra take it down. This stands out to me as there are people who rip off MSM. MSM Content released a video about a game called, “Monzimo” (Although it’s probably not available to get anymore) and it took designs from famous monsters like Mammott and Furcorn, and made them slightly different. MazzTom published a video that showed an ACTUAL COPY OF MSM CALLED “MY MUSICAL CATS”. IT HAS THE SAME CONCEPT, MONEY STYLE, BUT CHANGES THEMES. THE LOST LANDSCAPES IS JUST A FAN GAME, BUT APPARENTLY IT CROSSES LINES OF A FAN GAME. IF IT CROSSES LINES, THEN WHAT ABOUT THE OTHER 2 GAMES. First of all, in dawn of fire the shop, sometimes( really all the time) it says this has already been sold, so then why is it still in the store? It annoys me and probably other people. This is for both games because I wanted it to be faster. This issue is for the original game. TO MANY ADDS. Other than the ones that make things faster( barely and that’s an additional problem) TO MANY ADDS. When you just gonna start playing, when you go to another island, and other random times. ✓ A Classic and a MasterpieceMy Singing Monsters has beautifully revolutionized the traditional monster collecting game format and made it into something completely unique and special. The idea that every monster you obtain plays a role in a song together makes you truly appreciate every individual monster, which is even more true because of the personality poured into each monster. Although the tutorial and early parts of the game can be a bit underwhelming, (which has caused a friend of mine to bail on the app soon after download) if you stick around for it and level up enough, you’re rewarded handsomely with being able to discover new islands, monsters, and more at an exciting pace. Additionally, there have been updates to the game over the years that have fixed almost every glitch I can think of, and also add even more content to the game at an impressive pace. Despite opinions that I’ve had in the past, the amount of content in the game doesn’t take away from other parts of it, but instead adds another reason that this game is creative, unique, and unforgettable, Which really goes with what this game is truly about, being that multiple efforts can make something shine brightly both altogether and through each individual part. ✓ To MSM Creators,I love this game, its a great time passer and really fun to play. I like all the monsters + epics, and the prices are pretty reasonable. I only have one complaint, whenever i breed my monsters, it takes such a long time. I know it takes a long time because it depends how rare the monster is, but some take like a whole day (24hrs). Then after that when they are in the nursery, it takes the same amount of time. That means it takes two days just for one monster. ✓ Amazing.This game is just amazing. You can really tell how much care and thoughtfulness goes into every aspect of it. The developers clearly love what they do and do what they love. If you've never played this game, or haven't played it since who knows when, and you're considering getting into it now? Do it. I 100% cannot recommend it enough. Every addition to every island is a real treat. It's exciting to get new monsters and hear them sing/play for the first time. It's amazing! It's updated regularly with a seasonal event pretty much every month. The best part is that while there is a premium currency, it's not difficult to obtain. In-app purchases are unnecessary unless you want just a little boost to get started. There are occasional advertisements within the game, but the revenue is clearly put right back into the game. Personally, I spent the 99 cents to get a few gems + remove all ads from the game, but it's not a necessary purchase. I just play it often enough that the removal of ads was a welcome bonus. Despite playing this game for years now, there are still so many monsters I still have yet to meet. I can't recommend this game enough. I'd give it six stars if I could. I love love love this game. Also I was wondering if you could add more elements to fire haven like water and snow so we can have all the awesome monsters! Also maybe rares/epics? And wobbox on fire haven. I know this is a lot to ask, and you don’t have to add them all. Also I have just one more request that I would want more that anything. PLEASE make it so I can link my guest account to my Game Center account because I am SO far and my email is being used and I don’t have a Facebook account so it would be very annoying to have to start over from where I am now. If you do re-add this feature, thanks a lot. I also have a few more ideas. Epic Wubbox is one a lot of people are requesting. I also have an idea for special islands called event islands. You have to teleport monsters there to get them, and you can’t breed. Each monster will get a skin exclusively to that island based off of the island. Each island has a specific time frame to teleport monsters there, and they need to be level ten. If you don’t get any monsters there then you have to wait for the island to come back. ✓ A good game with a few annoying features.I love this game, don’t let the title deceive you. But there are a few things about the game that annoy me a bit. First, the positives: The music is great, the designs of the monsters are awesome, there’s a bunch of constant updates, and the animation is great. The game is long too, so it’s not something you’d complete in a day. There is one drawback though that inspired me to write this review, and that’s this: The Collect All Button is something you can only use every 24 hours. Sure, yeah, you could buy a currency pack or whatever and have unlimited use, but the Collect all Button should be something that’s a utility, and not something locked behind a “Pay to make this easier” wall. ✓ 7 out of 10This is generally a good game and I do enjoy it a lot but this game doesn’t feel like a masterpiece to me because I do have some problems with it that I’d like to share with you. If my singing monsters becomes a series of games, this would be a great beginning original that everyone can recall. The graphics are fantastic and the monsters are cute and their sounds are great. I enjoy the combination of breeding that you can take to breed the rare ones. The composing island is great and all the islands are generally great. When you start this game you get a tutorial (as always) but when you want to breed a two element monster it would take 8 hours to breed. I do generally have a problem with the breeding time. It takes 16 hours to get a two element monster with the breeding station and the nursery, 1 day for a three element, 2 days for four elements, and 3 days for rare ghost monsters. The game feels a bit slow at times just to make progress and everything gets really expensive as the game goes on. You don’t get money when you feed your monster whereas you do in the second game which makes it soar. Finding diamonds are really hard when you need them, whereas they’re much easier to get in the second game, through trees, rocks and achievements. The quirky designs of the monsters as well as their unique sounds and contributions to a song amaze me a lot, and everyone should give it a shot. However, there are some features that are unnecessary but would make the game even better. One feature that I would really like and am confused as to why it's not already implemented into the game is specific volume control. For a game that is based on collecting characters to make music, I don't understand why you cannot mute or lower the volume of the blaringly loud sound effects, but can individually mute or change the volume of monsters. Another thing that I can think of now is the ability to have more control in Composer Island. I have not bought the Composer app so I do not know everything, but having some more accessibility in this side-feature would be amazing. ✓ A great game with one thing could be improvedI have been playing the game for nearly three years, and to be honest, it is my favorite game on the phone. The game has outstanding music and detailed images, and monster designs are full of imagination. Because of that, I have the motivation to collect all the monsters in the game, and it is nearly done. One small problem is on the Amber Island, I just found the possibility and cost of creating an epic fire monster is too high. I spent more than two month collect the keys and trying to get an epic, but got nothing. Keys are already rare resource, and each time a failure will waste me from six hours to one day. I think it would be easier if the possibility increases, or at least there somehow exists a boost mechanism for fire epics: like the fire torch or the flag that I can increase the possibility manually or the chance can increase after each failure. All in all, it is a great game. I saw the improvement of image details even when closing in after the tenth anniversary update, and the correction of image at the bottom of Shugabush colossus. I saw it in an ad and downloaded it to play once again. I’ve created my worlds with such dedication and I play every single day. When I press the game to play it loads up to 100 then exits out and I have to press it 3 more times until I actually get into the game. When I’m moving monsters I press “move” about 3-4 times before it actually moves and when it does it moves just a bit then exits out the game. When trying to collect the money I press it 5+ times and still nothing until later on when it’ll collect the coins (same thing goes for when collecting diamonds, food, etc). However as I play it more I have noticed some things in the game I believe might be glitches. The most Recent, is I hatched a rare wubbox on earth island. When I clicked on it it showed the animation for cracking the egg. After the egg cracked however, it showed a completely powdered up rare wubbox and added it’s picture/awakened bio to the book of monsters. When I placed it on the island it was still powdered down like it should, but I found it strange. Another thing I found is several visual glitches with epic gold wubbox. Considering just how complex it is, it’s no surprise that a few tiny errors slipped through. During a few of its transitions from stages (example being switching from the plant phase to the cold phase), it would switch to its original form for a single frame. In addition during its water phase, when it completes it part, it’s hands switch back to the air phase, inside included. These are small details that don’t affect the gameplay, but would be really neat if they were patched, and made the gameplay more fluent. Thanks for ELEVEN years of wonderful gameplay. I can tell you now, this game is very addictive and a good way to use up some free time while waiting for something. Good time cruncher. The few changes I have in mind, would only help quicken the gameplay in my opinion. I think a button to collect ALL of the monsters’ coins on each island would be SUCH a help. I always find myself not tapping the lower level monsters because I feel like there is no point. That’s why I think if there was a button that allowed the player to tap and collect all of the coins at once, it would be a great addition! Along the same lines, it would be nice to have a feature that would make it easier to produce food. Having to go through and scroll to the bottom each time I want to create a ‘Cake’ is time consuming. I would love to see an automated option where you can select how many cakes you want (with the maximum being the number of large bakeries you have.) I think this addition would also keep the game running a lot faster! One final change I’d love to see if the ability to upgrade monsters faster (especially on the Tribal Island.) On the Tribal Island I find myself upgrading him to level 95 every week, and that is a LOT of tapping. ✓ Gameplay is good, some complaintsStarting with my complaints, Inescapable ads are extremely annoying, I’ll get 20-30 second ads that I’m unable to skip for some reason? Next is the rewards system, it’s a massive scam, I’ve completed the easy offers and haven’t receieved my rewards. For the ones that give a good amount of gems they bring you to scam sites that try to get my payment info with the promise of gift cards. It should just be removed. If there is only a few minutes on a monsters while it’s breeding or incubating, I like to watch an advert to speed up the breeding. But most of the time, it doesn’t work, so I will end up watching 4 adverts and no time would been deducted from my wait time. Purchase scamming: I am a monsterer who makes frequent purchases on MSM, and it really helps my islands and monsters. But sometimes, the second I make a purchase. It could take up to 2 weeks to come through. Sometimes shorter, sometimes longer, sometimes now, sometimes never. so I am spending money on virtual currency, without getting virtual currency (but this doesn’t happen too often). ✓ Literally the best gameI have had this game for YEARS y’all. Even if I didn’t play for stretches of time I ALWAYS came back to it; and every time, there was something new and creative added. The rewards section was a great idea to add yet there are many issues with is, an example is the fact that many of the quizzes seem to be rigged. It should be 1,000,000 coins for 500,000 food. Thirdly, you can’t have 0 monsters on an island. About a week ago, I had Scups and a potbelly on water island. I bred the Shellbeat and I sold my Scups to make room for my Shellbeat because I only had four beds. When I tried to sell my potbelly, I couldn’t because I had to have at least one monster on that island. Then, when my Shellbeat was done incubating, It was and it still is just sitting in the incubating stating like a lone fox in the middle of the road. Now, I have to collect a whopping 7,000,000 to upgrade my castle so I can place my Shellbeat because I can’t have 0 monsters on that island for literally one second! By the way, “dood who hates energy games,” all you have to do to get no ads is to buy one little thing of money or gems. ✓ Collossingum glitchI love this game but I had to delete it and play on Steam instead because of a glitch. The glitch gave me the Collossingum tutorial late. At this point I had already completed the first level. The problem came when I was required to complete the first level to complete the tutorial so I could access the shop and maps again. A way to fix such glitches is to create a “reset data” button, or/and even a “reset Collossingum data” button. Another solution would be to make Collosingum levels replayable. If you are a player reading this, DO NOT play the Collossingum until a tutorial for it is shoved in your face. ✓ Amazing game!I can’t really say how many hours i’ve put into this game, but it’s a large figure. The idea is essentially to expand your collection of monsters on your island, each having a different part in the song. Every monster you collect uses a different instrument, often their voices, to add to the orchestra. If you don’t like the song, don’t worry! There are a lot of different islands, each with their own unique tune, and usually unique monsters as well. To get monsters you can buy some for money, which isn’t too hard to get, or gems, which are reasonably difficult, but you do not have to spend money on them to get them. If you don’t want to spend gems, then you breed them, by putting two monsters together to get a new one. All the breeding combinations can be found online. The one thing that just slightly lets this game down is the “offer wall”. This is basically a list of surveys and product advertisements that supposedly reward you with gems when completed, but in fact they are just links to sites, often containing malware or just abundance of ads, and then if you finally do complete whatever it is, you get nothing. Now, I love the game and all but it’s like is the same thing until you unlock composer island. Place, breed, incubate, C O I N, monster, repeat. All islands are the same, every monster is charming, with three rarities, (normal, rare, epic) and all that. EXEPT the servers are split. Composer / top islands are different, no cross-play friend requests, and [ADDS], but they’re still great games. I got into it as a child, and Gingerpale did a sponsor with Big Blue Bubble (?) and I got back into it. If you haven’t heard, there is also a game by the same devs called “My Singing Monsters, Dawn of Fire” which is ALSO good. I would give this game a solid 9/10, and I might come back to this once I finish all my islands. ✓ This is absolutely my favourite game everI got this game a few years ago, and I absolutely love it. I am also very happy that you do not need to spend real life money, to get somewhere, everything can be achieved without the in app purchases. I am also really excited that the recent update has made it possible to upgrade your castle even higher (although I can't do it at the moment as i just spent all my diamonds:) ) Again another thing i like about this app is it still works on older iphones, which is good as my phone is only 4. Also when i lost my islands due to me not securing my account, they where very helpful and searched through the servers to find my lost world, and they even found it and gave me some extra diamonds. So one thing I would recommend is securing your account right away. And the ads don't even bother you!!! I can't say enough good about this game, it is my favourite game ever, i play it whenever i can. Even though it can take a while to breed what you want and to earn coins, once you get into it the time really flies by, i am now on level 30 and adore every cute monsters i have breed or brought( with in game diamonds). ✓ Best music game ever!I first downloaded MSM on my kindle when I was very young and, even though I wasn’t very good at it, I really enjoyed playing it as the monsters are cute and the islands are all very colourful and unique. ✓ My thoughtsMy Singing Monsters is a good but also an annoying game at times. The upside is that the sounds, the mechanics of the game and the simplicity is overall great. Meanwhile, one of the annoying bits are the tiles. The amount of time and frustration it takes is just so overwhelming. It took me almost a full THREE DAYS to put tiles down on not even HALF of my plant island. Another of one of the issues is breeding/incubation times. The longest it takes for one of the monsters (which is really rare) is four days! If they try a rare or epic version of that then I won’t even bother getting that. Another is the prices of currency shown in the market. On the $7 ones It’ll say $70 (but it still charges $7) That button will mess up A LOT of parents and/or grandparents, thinking their grandkids/children will get 100 or so diamonds for 70 bucks. I could go on for days listing downsides and upsides, but I’ll stop here. ✓ Amazing but a few problems.This game is an absolute classic in my opinion first I’ll list the pros: First of all instead of visual feedback it gives you audible feedback which of course is the whole point of the game. Visuals have improved over many years and the game overall is not pay to win because of the breeding structure therefore meaning that you don’t have to spend money to get diamonds to bury monsters.
