BabyScope Hear Baby Heartbeat for Positive User Reviews

Great app!It works great, looks great, and has a great sharing option to all sorts of medias! I recommend! wait till your third trimester and download to start recording <3.Version: 4.7.0

Heard it!I am 16+2 and I bought the app knowing it could be too early to hear anything however after some patience and trying out different areas we heard it!!! I could hear my own heartbeat when I placed the mic on my lower abdomen (as per the diagram) but when I tried it to the left between my pelvis and belly button I could hear the baby. You have to be really still and patient..Version: 1.3

Very impressed!I started off very skeptical, and thought it was quite a risk to take to download this app given how much it cost (its a lot of money for me, its not a lot of money for what it does). After several minutes of trying, I got nothing and was about ready to give up when I got an almighty kick. I moved the phone a bit more to the right, and after a few moments, the sweet sound of my babies strong heartbeat came on through. I've made several recordings, and because of the marvellous share function I've been able to send recordings to my parents, and my partner at work. This is not a professional doppler, don't use it instead of visiting midwifes/doctors/obs, and if you don't hear anything don't freak out, and don't give up. I am one very very happy mumma-to-be. As a side note, I'm 27 weeks along, I'm not in early stages pregnancy..Version: 1.3

Loving this app!Purchased a while back while i was still in my very early weeks of pregnancy.. i was sure it was never going to work! But i recently started trying again! now in week 31 and it works perfectly! Ive played around with it a lot so i know how to differentiate between all the different sounds ! But I can definitely say it works!.Version: 4.7.0

Brilliant app!I downloaded this app when I was 13 weeks hoping I would be one of the lucky ones! Unfortunately I couldn't hear my baby's heartbeat that early. I carried on trying the app every 2 weeks and couldn't hear anything up until today. I'm 22w & 5d and nearly cried with happiness when I finally heard my little girl's heartbeat. I found her heartbeat about 1 inch below my belly button. Definitely an app worth the money!.Version: 1.3

Absolutely amazing!!!Really great app! I've been using it for a few weeks now and it's super cute to heat the heartbeat. We even posted it to Facebook!!.Version: 4.7.0

It works!!!I started using this app when I was about 16-18 wks, and it was very hit and miss if I would hear the heartbeat-some days I would, other days I couldn't hear anything. Probably since she was still small and had lots of places to hide. I got a few good recordings. I just tried it again at 23wks and I was able to find her strong heart beat every time! She kicks at the mic and tries to roll around but she is now too big to hide anymore. Which is a relief to me knowing that I can check on her sweet little heartbeat whenever I need to. Great product and would definitely recommend to my friends!.Version: 2.41

Exciting!!!Love the fact that i can hear my babys heartbeat whenever i want. Im at week 26 and i can hear the heartbeat clearly, though it says you usually can start listening from 30. so so so exciting for me! worth the small sum for the peace of mind.Version: 4.7.0

Great App! Just READ this before downloadingThe app in itself is great and I used it plenty, however there are some things that need to be made sure before expecting the best results! First you must make sure to have your phone case off and be in a very quiet room, you also should start trying only after you begin your third trimester Second, make sure youre not the type of pregnant women to fear if you dont hear the heartbeat right away, this is simply a phone, and sometimes it wont work perfectly. Other than that if you know how to use it and what to expect it really is great, with awesome sharing options and just the cutest idea!.Version: 4.7.0

AwesomeHighly recommend I'm 11wks n 4days & it wrked for me so happy & worth the money..Version: 3.01

Worked awesome!!I had no problem finding my baby's heart beat and I'm only 13 weeks!! Harder to find mine but that's because my breasts get in the way.Version: 2.01

AMAZINGI am currently 30 weeks pregnant and thought I'd download this app to give it a go. I wasn't holding out much hope but found it simply amazing. When I found my daughters heartbeat I just listened for ages, you can certainly distinguish between your own and your un born child and its 100 times better than the Doppler I purchased! Thank you for my sanity back.Version: 1.3

Good app needs patienceI'm 13+3 and can find my own heartbeat and babies. If your a first time mum & not heard a babies heartbeat before then it's a very fast heartbeat & sounds like a chugging train whereas mums heartbeat will be a lot slower. Had this app about a week. Much easier to hear when on the loudspeaker mode as use it in an iPhone6 so the speak its covered once pressed against stomach. Wait atleast 30seconds before you move on to a different place & if your early I would place quite low rather than further up as the pictures describe. Good luck & be patient :) overall worth the money I paid..Version: 3.0

What a great appI love it.Version: 4.2.0

Baby scopeThis ap does work well after a bit of hunting for the heart beat (I'm 24 weeks) abd it was quite clear. The bottom of your phone needs to be in complete contact with your tummy and you need to plug in head phones to use it so if your head phone socket is at the bottom the ap doesn't work as it needs to be in total contact with your yummy! We wasted £3 downloading it to my hubby's phone first only to find this out after, wish it would tell you that before hand!.Version: 1.3

Work!To my awesome surprise this app works! Its great It makes me so much more excited when i can listen to my babys heartbeat :D.Version: 4.7.0

Honestly a great app!As long as you expect what you should from an iphone I dont beleive it should be dissapointing! It works, it records, and you can hear relatively clear heartbeats (for an iphone) from the device. I think its great.Version: 4.7.0

AwesomeFound babies heart beat straight away. Brilliant app..Version: 5.0.0

I recommend it!Best $5 I ever spent. And I can check in on my little one anytime I feel like it. His little heart beat is music to my ears. And I'm 9 weeks and 5 days. And yes...I know the difference between my heart beat and the babies. FYI...gas does not give you a sinuous reading. How was I able to hear the heartbeat? It's all about placement. At 9 weeks, my little is still behind my pelvic bone. So why would I place the mic on my belly? I placed the mic on my bikini line in the middle and and tilted the mic down slightly. If you know what to listen for it's not hard. When I told my doctor about this app and he didn't believe me either. I played it for him. He was amazed, but don't take my word for it. Try yourself. Listen to your heart first to get your baseline and if your early in like me....put the mic on your bikini line and tilt downward slightly. It helps to be relaxed and in a quiet room..Version: 2.3

Great! Here's some tips...I decided to try this on my old iPhone 4s. Works great. I normally don't write reviews but this is so cool and I thought I could give some helpful tips. I am a family med doc and trained in OB so it helps to know what and where to look. A few tips if looking early: lower BMI helps and certain locations of placenta will increase likelihood for success. Need to start very low near pubic bone, midway in pubic hair. To initially find it was easier to stand (so gravity pushes baby forward). I held phone horizontal so could see image. When found area (initially a few isolated beats) I did some adjustments then slowly rocked far end of phone to get the right angle. Voila! Sounds like a locomotive steam engine. Hope this helps! Can cancel the $50 Doppler I just bought!.Version: 3.01

Love itAm 23 weeks and think this app is wonderful. Make sure you're laying on your back and are patient-search around a little and you'll find what you're looking for. Best $6 I've ever spent..Version: 1.2

BrillMy first time pregnancy and heard my baby's heartbeat a little at 16 weeks due to me not know the places for the microphone and that but now at 18 weeks can hear it perfectly If the baby is in a good position worth the spend just need to be patient with the app 😊⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.Version: 4.7.0

It does actually work!To be honest I didn't think this app would work but was pleasantly surprised. The iPhone earphones don't work with the app so I had to dig out some old ones with no built in microphone. It took quite a while to find the heartbeat but the trick is not to move it around too much. The movement causes noises which drown out the heartbeat. I like the recording function. I did think I was sharing the recording on twitter but it actually shared a link to the istore, but hey. Overall I was really surprised it worked but it did, and it gave the babies dad his first opportunity to hear his sons heartbeat. Not a bad app for £1.40ish..Version: 1.1

Must have app for pregnant womanWhen I got this app, it took me a while to get it to work. At first, I couldn't even hear my own heart, but then I realised that if I use it EXACTLY like in the tutorial, it workes amazingly! Once I got it to work, it was very nice and my older son loved hearing his baby brother's heartbeat :) :).Version: 4.7.0

It really work! 👍😊👶💕At first I was unsure of even purchasing this App. But I'm glad I did just to give it a try. I used it for the first time last night and I couldn't find the baby's heart beat, but I did listen to my own. After trying for half an hour I finally just have up. Then I came home today and as soon as I put it on my lower abdominal I heard it. It put the biggest smile on my face, literally! I listened to my heart beat afterwards just to make sure the first one I heard wasn't mine and it wasn't! Two totally different heart beats. And I'm only 10w2d. So I was excited I even found it. It may not work on some people but it did me and this is a accurate and true review. Not a fake as someone mentioned in another review that the 5 star reviews just had to be fake. Well IT'S NOT! All real. 😊 If at first you don't find it, don't stress. Be patient and take your time. Eventually you will be able too. And also for the ones who haven't purchased this App yet and are debating too, I so like to add that the sound of the heart beat will not sound like it would with a Doppler. It will be different. I do recommend!.Version: 1.2

WorksSound is off a bit but for being a 6.00 app I was really impressed I'm 15 weeks and was able to detect the heart beat..Version: 3.01

First App ReviewThis app is great! First fetal monitor app I've found that actually works. Tried it on my own heartbeat, on my husband's and even on the pillow, it's legitimately accurate and doesn't give false readings for inanimate objects etc. The other apps, place the phone on a pillow and you still get a heart beat '__' so this one didn't do that and was therefore worth every penny!!!!.Version: 4.2.0

Excellent (but for later pregnancy)Brought this app when I was about 20 weeks pregnant and was disappointed because I kept thinking I had caught a heartbeat but it wasn't clear. However at 26 weeks it really started working clearly and was almost as good as the dopplers that are 10x the price. Would recommend to mums 26 weeks on..Version: 3.0

Great appWould advise to download.Version: 3.01

Picked up the heart beat instantlySo cool! I'm 17 weeks and the moment I put the phone to my belly I could hear the heartbeat clearly. The reviews initially turned me off wanting to get the app but after reading some positive feedback on a pregnancy forum about this app I decided to download it. So glad I did! Thanks, it's a great app :-).Version: 1.3

Amazing!!!So clear and easy to use!! Lovvvve it.Version: 1.1

Amazing!!! Wow!!!Purchased today. We're 28 weeks. First time we tried it, we heard nothing. 2nd time we tried it, we heard baby's heart beat :-D WOW. What an amazing app, incredible. Well worth £2.99. Thank you so much :-) Tip: More weeks you are, higher up the belly the heartbeat will be. We tried it very low down first time. We waited couple hours and tried again but higher up just below the belly button. Make sure you press hard too. 5 stars any day..Version: 1.2

It definitely works!I love just sitting and listening to my baby before going to sleep!.Version: 3.01

Wonderful app!I loved how this app let me listen to my baby on my phone and share the recording with everyone! we used this to announce the baby and it was so cute, really recommended!.Version: 4.7.0

Found it at 9 and 1/2 weeksSo after hearing my baby's heartbeat today at the doctor's office I was determined to find it on here. I am only 9 and 1/2 weeks. I bought this app last week and heard nothing after many tries. But today I decided I would keep trying until I found it. And my stubbornness and perseverance paid off! After a little over an hour of searching I finally found it! I have an iPhone and the way I found it was by placing 2 fingers under the speaker while keeping contact with the microphone. I pressed down a bit with the two fingers next to speaker so I could drop in a little further with the microphone side. I finally found my little one about 2 inches below my belly button and 2 inches to the left. This app is generally recommended for the 3rd trimester but if you are as stubborn as I, you might be as lucky to hear it earlier. Worth the $4.99 to give it a shot in my opinion. Good luck!.Version: 4.2.0

IM IN LOVE WITH THIS APPSo I got into a wreck today and on the way to the hospital they couldn't find my baby heartbeat and then they finally found it I didn't want to stop hearing it so my first told me about this app, I was kinda nerves because they say you be be around 30 weeks for it to work at its best but I am 18 weeks and 1 day today and I hear my babies heart beat just find. It brings joy to my heart that I can hear my babies heart beat when I want to and all I have to be is turn my phone on airplane mode and listen through this app. I am really thankful for this app every time I hear my babies heart beat it makes me smile 5 stars is not enough 4.99 well spent 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍🙏🏾🙏🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙏🏾.Version: 3.01

I'm only 15 weeks and 6 daysAnd found the heartbeat first go :).Version: 1.2

Great App!!I love this app, the idea is great and it works wonderfully! Very recommended ! I love the fact that I can share the recordings!!.Version: 4.7.0

Fantastic !!Last night I realized I hadn't felt my baby kick all day(I'm 22 weeks) of course with hormones included I hands on my belly all eve and just wanted a kick but nothing :( I cried till about 1 am when I decided to look for an app tbh anything would of done ! I found this one which doesn't work with iPhone 5 as the headphone socket is on the bottom but luckily I still have an iPhone 4, I heard the heartbeat and within 10 mins of listening my baby starting kicking me. BEST £2.99 ever spent!.Version: 1.2

Awesome App for first time mom's!!!!This is my husbands ITunes but I'm writing the review, I downloaded this app because I'm a first time mom and a worrier at that so I didn't want to wait until the ultrasound to hear my baby. I was skeptical but figured it couldn't hurt to try it right? I couldn't hear the baby at 15 weeks so figured I'd wait a bit.. I'm about 17.5 weeks now and was able to find and record my babies heartbeat!!! It put the biggest smile on my face! Although, I held my breath most of the time because the slightest movement is audible an gets in the way of hearing the baby..overall this app was awesome and so worth the buy, one suggestion:: Please make some sort of alert before the woman uses baby scope EVERY TIME you go to use it, about putting the phone on airplane mode. I got so excited to try this again that I forgot and im worrying now about the phone/wifi waves effecting the baby. Wish I had a reminder :(.Version: 1.2

Worked at 26 weeksLike many I purchased this well ahead of the suggested most effective time frame. I purchased at about 22 weeks couldn't hear anything at that time but now at 26 weeks have found the clear heart beat the last three days in a row..Version: 1.3

Good appNo complaints.. it works and its cute to play around with and record.Version: 4.7.0

Works for me :)I have an iPhone 4S and have been happily using this since 18 weeks, a week after I started feeling movements. I was completely skeptical about this type of app beforehand - and still don't entirely understand how it works so well! - but it's been a real treat for me to hear the heartbeat. In a strange way, it feels like it's been helping me to bond with them. Definitely worth the £2.99 :).Version: 2.3

It really works!Saw a couple of negative reviews about it only working for women later on in their pregnancy. I'm 24 weeks pregnant and after a bit of practice and patience I found my baby's strong heart beat! It just takes a little more searching and patience but it's totally worth it. Just watch the instructions and you'll be fine!.Version: 4.2.0

Totally worksOnce I saw a review online about the app and some ladies finding the heart beat at about 13 weeks I decided to buy it.. So initially I bought it at 7 weeks and had it in my ipad just to try it whenever I was around 12 weeks... Though to be honest it wasn't that good then I saw people saying that in an IPHONE 4 and IPOD 4 it was way better and indeed at 13 weeks and 4 days I literally found it I even recorded just in case... But now that I know where it is I find it all the time w/o problem my husband was do excited he wants to listen to it every hour... Honestly just be patient and about the devices I agree the ipad was to big while the ipod 4 is little and the mic and headphones are on opposite sides so it is easier to find!!! Other than that worth it every penny :-).Version: 1.3

Great appAt first I was very sceptical about getting the app as I really didn't think it would be possible for us to hear the heartbeat, but I downloaded the app and I'm so pleased I did! Iv herd the heartbeat from as early as 16 weeks, I was amazed and relieved to know that I could check the babies heartbeat when ever I had doubts. I felt like I could fully connect and the further my pregnancy has gone the sounds have got clearer. Brilliant app! Get it now! We love ours!.Version: 2.3

AmazingBought the app around 14/15 weeks and found it not working (too early). Just tried it at 17 and a half weeks and it worked really well, just had to make sure it's in the right place. Main problem is the design of the iPad (4th gen). The speakers need to be off by plugging in earphones (to avoid feedback) which then press against the tummy as you try to get a reading. Earphones with a 90 degree angle works best, I imagine the iPhone's earphone port and microphone are very close and therefore make it difficult if not impossible to use. Sharing also doesn't work at the moment, not that big a problem as you can still record and listen to that all important heartbeat..Version: 1.4

Good at end of pregnancyI downloaded this app around 20 weeks and today I am 38 weeks and it's the first time I have heard his heartbeat. Sounds very clear!! But don't waste time trying in early pregnancy to pick up heartbeat..Version: 4.7.0

Love this app!!This app is amazing. I was a little skeptical at first bc I thought there was no way this could work, but being a first time mommy I decided to give it a try anyway an I'm SO glad I did!! I tried it on my iPad and couldn't pick up anything so I tried it on my phone and after about a half hour of trying I was able to find the baby's heartbeat!! Now that I know where on my belly to put the phone every time I put it there I'm able to hear the heart beating away. It's awesome to be able to listen whenever I want!! Def well worth the $5. I'm also only 17 weeks so you def can use this well before the third trimester : ).Version: 1.2

Love it!Found baby's beat at 30 weeks with no problem. Follow the directions, but realize if your baby is in the breech position, the best place to put the mic would be your upper abdomen. But seriously, follow the directions. Quiet place, cover off...and you might have to hunt a little, ESP. if baby is small and wiggly. UPDATE: downgraded the app to four stars because the share function doesn't work. Also, you morons that keep complaining that it doesn't work for iPhone 5. Yeah, it says that in the description in the app and directs you to the iPhone 5 app. Especially for iPhone 5 in case you didn't understand. It's not the developers fault you're an idiot that can't read. Reading is fundamental, since you're apparently about to have a kid..Version: 1.3

Wow!!! Excellent!I was amazed how great this app works... Just like going to the dr. I can find my baby's heartbeat in seconds..Version: 1.3

Needs patience but works!Needs a bit of patience since you dont hear clearly for the first few seconds. But after moving it around a bit i got it to work ! Its great and has great sharing options.. FB, Whatsapp and all those.. you can also add a picture when sharing which is super cute!.Version: 4.7.0

Mrs VInitially I down loaded this app when I was 14 weeks and couldn't hear a thing and was disappointed. At 24 weeks I could hear babies heart beat but it was muffled. I'm now 26 weeks and the recordings I've made are really clear and reassuring. In hindsight I was trying to use the app too soon and after reading some of the negative reviews I think many other people have made the same mistake and should try again further into their pregnancy... Hope this helps :-) xx.Version: 1.2

Amazing app! Can't praise it enough.Absolutely brilliant app! My son, husband and I have loved listening to our new babies heartbeat. It has really helped my son bond with his new unborn baby brother/sister. Would highly highly recommend! Can hear the heartbeat clear as day when you track it down (these babies can be wriggly) but also love hearing the movement too..Version: 1.4

Great appMe and my husband downloaded this app after reading such great reviews... We were not disappointed!! Found our baby girls heart beat straight away, first time we have heard it!! The only problem is we downloaded it on his iPhone 5 and it was a really bad connection, I then downloaded it on my iphone 4 and found her heartbeat instantly!!! Amazing app for £2.99. Love how it can help my husband bond with our daughter too!!.Version: 1.3

I would use againI am currently 17 weeks 4 days I started using about 13 weeks then wasn't so good. But now I can pick up a heart beat of my baby. Coz my little bean likes to move a lot the heart beat comes and goes but it really does work at first I was very unsure if would work. And it did. It des come up with better to use after 28 weeks but I done and picked it I guess it weather ever the baby is laying puts my mind at easy. And I love listening to it ;) xx.Version: 3.0

AmazingI simply love this app!! I'm a health care professional and I do recommend it to my patients!! Simpler instructions not always work, perhaps a step by step instructions will work best!! It's worth the price!! 😉👍🏼.Version: 4.3.1

(;Works so well (; I'm 20 weeks and when baby's back is in the right position I can hear the heartbeat so clearly.Version: 1.2

Fab - worked really early on!Downloaded this app at 12 weeks not expecting to hear anything for quite a while yet, but to my amazement I picked up baby's heartbeat the first time I tried it! The only downside is that as it uses the microphone, it picks up any nearby noises, including any movement on my skin, which interferes with the sound of the heartbeat. But I haven't knocked a star off because I feel this is beyond anyone's control, you just have to ensure you keep still while you use it..Version: 1.3

Very happyHad no issues finding heartbeat from 19 weeks. Very happy with the sharing feature, works well..Version: 3.01

I'm in shock! 😍😍Okay so I'm one of those people who never really believes in stuff like this because I mean , how can an app on my phone be capable of doing something like hear my growing babies heartbeat? So I got the app thinking okay whys a few dollars? I'm 23 weeks pregnant and tried it . Couldn't hear anything . I was trying for about 20 minutes and different places on my belly. Couldn't hear anything so I gave up. Tried again today, and I heard something I havnt before. Before I starting freaking out thinking it was my son, I went to the place in the app that gives you examples of what the baby sounds like. Went back to the spot and started to record. This app ACTUALLY found my little mans heartbeat ! I was in tears! Sent it to my boyfriend and family and we were just so excited! Definitely worth the money! Best app I've tried so far!!.Version: 4.3.1

Very goodHandy and useful.Version: 1.1

Love this !!One of my favorite apps !! I also have a home doppler but this is great for when i go over to my relatives and friends houses! (plus i can always use it, unlike the doppler) Everyone loves IT!.Version: 4.7.0

It's Legit!Okay, I've had actually dopplers that didn't work as well as this app. Those saying they didn't even hear their own heartbeat probably didn't have patience or take their phone case off. I wasn't sure how it'd work, but I saw that it had pretty good reviews and a good overall rating. I didn't think it would work for certain because my phone isn't an actual Doppler. And for some reason I was thinking like "sonogram" that emits sound waves that bounce off of the baby. 😂😂 don't judge me! Anyway, I found my heartbeat first, that way I'd know what to compare it to, and it worked!! I'm pretty ecstatic! I shared them on Facebook in hopes my friends can listen whether or not they have the app, but idk. Anyway, best $5 I spent! P.s. I'm 25 weeks today!.Version: 4.3.1

I love this!!I'm 28 and a half weeks pregnant and I will confirm that this DOES work. At first I thought it didn't because I couldn't get the baby's heart beat, only mine /: but after several more attempts I finally found his heartbeat and for SURE it isn't mine. It still sounds a little slow and fuzzy and that's expected from an iPhone mic (instead of an actual Doppler) but it certainly is my baby boys heart (: I loved it, it made me very happy. Now I can use this at any time I want to hear him. Just make sure you're in a very quiet room laying on your back and try to place it where your baby is. (Where the baby is hanging out). He even kicked while I did this lol. Recommend for anyone closer to their 30weeks..Version: 1.4

It really does work :)I'm 17 weeks pregnant today & thought I'd give it a go. Like any Doppler, it takes time to get it right, but once you can locate a fetal heart rate, you'll know it was worth it :).Version: 1.2

It’s one of the best apps I have!!Got some really good recordings, and the only thing I would recommend for app owners to do is to allow editing of recordings , since some times I want to share record I would like to cut down from 40 seconds to 20 seconds. It’s not the only app I am using for fetal heart , but after several apps and several weeks of playing with them, I start to think this is the best one..Version: 4.3.1

Amazing!!!Before I got this app, I looked through all the reviews, very mixed!! So I had second thoughts about buying it, but I thought I really just want to try it!!! I'm currently 15w4d with my first baby, I read through everything first, made sure it was on flight mode, etc....was trying for about 10 minutes all around my tummy, even listened to my heartbeat and then tried the lowest part of my tummy......and then yes I picked up my little ones heartbeat!!!! It was amazing!!!!! It's not the easiest to pick up but work with it and keep on trying!!! Well worth the money!!!!!.Version: 1.2

Buy it!I bought another app which is cheaper than this but a garbage. I can hear my baby's heartbeat clearly on low abdomen..Version: 1.3

Great! It took a few minutes of searching, but we could actually hear our baby's heartbeat! Very exciting and great to have!.Version: 2.3

Incredible sound at 35 weeks pregnantAbsolutely amazing to hear my little baby's heart beating! Able to hear it's heart even speed up between when it's asleep and awake. Also able to hear baby's movements and what my voice sounds like to the baby when I talk/sing. It takes a bit of patience to find the heartbeat in amongst all that belly, but worth it once you do. I've tried other apps which didn't work at all, but this one is truly incredible! I can't rate this app highly enough!.Version: 1.4

Wow!!I was very sceptical at first when I bought this app thought no way would I be able to hear a heart beat with a phone/iPad well got to say I found my heartbeat first just to be sure this thing picks at Least a heartbeat up. Then after trying a few different places on my belly I found the baby heart beat! Unbelievable I was shocked, I might add it was very faint as I'm only 18+5 weeks pregnant but it was deffo there!!.Version: 1.3

Worth the money!I've read a few of these reviews and it's astonishing how many women think this app is a suitable substitute for medical care. It's not an ultrasound or a blood test so only a fool would use it to confirm pregnancy. That said, this is the first review I've ever written because I'm so impressed with this app. It picked up two distinct rhythms for both me, and my unborn baby, and it picked up a third, different rhythm for my husband. It worked for me at 24+5, and we found the heartbeat almost immediately. I wouldn't get my hopes up for how effective this would be in early pregnancy, but I would assume that it would work once the mother starts feeling movement. Maybe only try during the second and third trimester. Anyway, I think it's great!.Version: 3.01

Nice to share with partnerI bought this app fairly early on in my pregnancy (approx 15 weeks) and found it was too early to get a recording. I wasn't too disappointed as it is recommended for thurs trimester. I tried using again today at 29 weeks and got a really clear recording. Was lovely for my husband to be able to hear out little girls heartbeat as he is usually at work when I go to my check-ups and misses out. A great app!.Version: 1.3

Awesome!First of all, it is really awesome to hear my little one's heartbeat without having to go out and buy a stethoscope. I love that. At 22 weeks I found the heartbeat sometimes if I poked around, but now at 24 weeks it's quite audible. The only problems I had with it: 1) it only lets you share a >20 second clip, but it doesn't show you a timer while you record. 2) on an iPad Mini, the microphone is next to the headphone jack, so you have to dig the headphone plug into your belly to listen. It hurts a little. There are people passing the rumor that this app picks up background noise and maternal heartbeat, then plays a recorded fetal heartbeat. Since both my own and my baby's heartbeats are irregular, I can say with some certainty that the rumor is false..Version: 1.3

Cool idea! And it really does work when you follow the instructions and use the app properly !.Version: 4.7.0

IncredibleMy fav pregnancy app. I love hearing little ones heartbeat. Gives me peace of mind as well. This app has been great and very easy to use. Heard heartbeat as early as 21 weeks!.Version: 5.1.0

Peace of mindIf you are like me, you would love the reassurance of baby being doing well. This app does just that! You can relax after hearing a strong fast paced heart beat. Music to our ears! Works better in late pregnancy. Week 30+.Version: 4.6

Brilliant!Had this from about 12 weeks and tho was difficult to hear clearly at first you can still hear it. You need to move it around a little n put a bit of pressure on to hear the heartbeat at first however at now 31 weeks the heartbeat is clear as day and the baby even kicks out at where the phone is positioned. Wonderful app!.Version: 1.2

For a first time pregnancy. This is one of the funnest apps i found! Its interactive for me as opposed to all the others that just give tips like all the books! The fact that I can sit on my couch and hear my babys heartbeat is just so much fun and quite heartwarmig! Im just obssesed!.Version: 4.7.0

Lovin' it at 17 weeks!!!I love this app so far. I'm only 17 weeks pregnant as of today, and was able to find my little one's heartbeat as well as my own. It is a little tricky finding it long enough to get a good recording at this point, but I'm positive it will get better as I'm further along and learn what I'm doing. The fact that I can SHARE my recording is great too. (Beware though, only recordings of 20 seconds or less can be shared.) The only downside so far, is that you can't use the earphones that come with iPhones or iPads as they have built-in microphones, which disable the devices internal microphone making the app useless. Make sure you have different earphones or a plug-in speaker that does NOT have a built in microphone!.Version: 1.3

Good app!!!I like the app, i love that its so simply as to just putting my phone on my belly and listening! its great and works perfectly in the later weeks!.Version: 4.7.0

Amazing!I'm only 17 weeks & 3 days, but thought I would give it a go! And it absolutely worked, found the heart beat almost instantly. Awesome guys! :).Version: 2.41

10.5 weeks and heard the HBHard to find at first but I heard it. Great app to check every now and then to reduce anxiety..Version: 3.0

WonderfulThis app is wonderful. I am 16 weeks and found babies heartbeat right away. My only issue is when trying to share the upload always fails, waiting on a response from the support team on this.Version: 1.3

Worked For Us!At 15 weeks we can definitely hear the baby's heartbeat..Version: 3.01

MissAbsolutely brilliant app!! Totally worth $4 and worth my time. I know this can't beat a doctors doppler but it is still so nice to see and hear a little heart beat. I tested it on my own heart even put it up to the air and the air didn't have a heart beat like people have said on other apps. The only down fall was that I went to send the recording to my mother in law but I couldn't because it was more than 25 seconds. I highly recommend this app. It was lovely thank you for making me happy 😊😊.Version: 2.3

A must have!!!I bought this when I was 12 weeks, thinking I probably wouldn't hear much till later. However having heard my first sons heartbeat and having the recording still so knowing exactly what to listen for I was shocked to hear such a clear beautiful playback. I could hear after a few moments of careful placement a beautiful baby's heartbeat bearing about twice as fast as mine (I tested my own too to see if the app was a con or not lol) and the record function is great I was able to play to my sisters who live away and they loved it. Not to be used in place of a real medical professional obviously but a nice app especially to make my son who is 6 feel more involved and my partner. Even my midwife was impressed. I personally love it! Would recommend highly. Worth every penny!.Version: 4.3.1

Love it!Used this from 22 weeks with my first baby with my iPhone 5 Now using it for my second baby at 33 weeks with my iPhone 6 Apple changed how the speakers and earphone work in the updated model so it took longer to find the heart beat with my second. But I still love this app and I've emailed the recording to hubby and the grandparents :) They loved it!.Version: 2.41

Heard baby's heartbeat @ 28 wksPretty good app. Heartbeat takes patience to find.Version: 4.3.0

Works PerfectlyFollowed the instructions and was able to find baby's heartbeat with very little difficulty (24 weeks) using iPhone 4. Works best with minimum background noise as this does interfere with the sound. Love that I can record baby's heartbeat to play to family and friends too. Cheaper than a Doppler, would recommend..Version: 1.2

It works! :)I was was skeptical of this app because I'm only 15 weeks but it works perfectly. It recommends to place the mic (phone) near the bottom of your belly while laying down but for me it only picked up the heart beat beside my belly button so have patience and try different positions! Spend a while listening to your own heart beat first so you know what it sounds like on the app then you'll definitely know when you hear the babies heart beat :).Version: 2.3

Works well at 40wksCan clearly hear my own and babies heartbeats, just need to move around to find it. Would be good if gave as beats per min but not hard to just count. Make sure don't use headphones with built in mike. Very reassuring to hear babies speedy beat!.Version: 1.4

Brilliant :)I was a little optimistic at first but for the price thought it was worth a try. I am 25 weeks and I found my baby girls heartbeat within just a few minutes, I also found my own so I could compare them and be sure it was hers! (It definitely is!) it also works a lot better if you take off any casing or cover you have on your phone, trust me it makes a difference! Now I know what I'm doing I can find her heartbeat almost immediately, it's so lovely for us and our other 2 daughters to be able to hear her whenever we like and also send the occasional recording to other family members :) It would be great if it worked without the earphones so we could all hear it at the same time rather than taking it in turns to share the earphones! But I guess there must be a reason it works that way. We love it!!.Version: 1.4

My kids love this app!I downloaded this app for fun, so that my kids could have a way to interact with me throughout my pregnancy. However its suprisingly addictive and not only do my kids love it.. but so do i !.Version: 4.7.0

:)Worked well first go at 22 weeks..Version: 1.2

WOW! Amazed!17 weeks today and found the heart beat pretty easy and it was loud and clear! Very happy! 6$ well spent!.Version: 3.01

Great, amazing and fun..This was amazing I'm 17 weeks and we heard the heart beat it was beautiful...Version: 1.2

Love!!!This app works so well, I wasn’t expecting anything from it as I am only 9 weeks but I can hear the heartbeat clearly and I even compared to a friend who isn’t pregnant and could tell such a big difference!.Version: 6.01

Brill app!I am just into 21 weeks and I have been hearing my little girl's heart beat from last week. It's quite easy to use once you know where to look. Just requires a bit of patience. Make sure the room is really quiet and move the phone along your lower abdomen while pressing well. Wait till the white noise subsides. When you press hard and switch on boost you won't hear as much noise..totally worth the trouble and money!!.Version: 1.3

Good app!I personally love this app and its concept. HOWEVER if youre the type of woman thats gonna become very stressed or nervous if the app doesnt find your babys heartbeat imediately or all the time, then this app isnt for you. However, if youre looking for a cute and fun experience, an app that can save recordings of your babys heartbeat and share them with friends and family, then i highly recommend babyscope. Just make sure to take off your phone case and switch to airplane mode before using, AND make sure to be in a really quiet room (the first time i tried it the neighbors were mowing their lawn and i couldnt make out any heartbeat).Version: 4.7.0

FabBought this app when I was 14 weeks and was disappointed when I couldn't pick up babies heartbeat. Could get the placenta though which was quite reassuring in itself. Finally picked up baby at 19 weeks and it was amazing. Even now at 20 weeks it takes me quite a while to find the heartbeat, but once I do it's great..Version: 1.2

Great App!I havent stopped using this app since i downloaded it, it really does work great and considering its only using the iphones mic its amazing! I highly recommend!.Version: 4.7.0

AwesomeIt works! It really does. May take a while to find your baby but be patient :) very comforting, definately recommend! Did want to share recorings via email but the app didn't allow sharing so I emailed them and they emailed straight back to say they would be doing an update in the next 10 days or so to allow sharing so even better!.Version: 1.3

Wonderful!Heard my baby's heartbeat at 31 weeks! Got the app in early stages of my pregnancy and tried it every few weeks since. I wasn't sure it actually works since I heard all sorts of noises that none of them sounded like the sound sample provided. At 31 weeks I finally found it! I got so excited, and immediately recorded it and shared it with my family 😀 Love it!.Version: 4.7.0

Best app out there!Really happy with this app, using it at 11wks and really kept me at ease. It is better than the fetal doppler I bought so I returned it. Plus you can record and send sound bites to loved ones..Version: 4.6
