✓ Calc tapeThis app worked great for keeping a running tally my checking account...UNTIL IT SIMPLY QUIT. For no apparent reason, the app quit working and dumped 2 months worth of records. ✓ Highly efficient as a slideover companionEDIT: If I add CalcTape as a slide over, or a new split screen, it just gives me a light blue empty box. The only way to use it is to start it in full screen and add another app in split screen. Slide over does not work at all. Split screen only works as started above and then only if it’s given a bigger chunk of the screen. It looks like the best calculator is not updated anymore. Take away two more stars. Please fix this??? Thought I had a great calculator until I found this one. Just finished filing taxes with TT, and having CalcTape in slideover mode is the perfect companion. Deductions especially require lots of totals. One tap easily places the most recent total onto the clipboard to carry it back to the tax app. The multiple tapes can be saved to Dropbox with all the other documentation. They can be used as templates for next year as they are easy to edit. Usually use a simple spreadsheet but abandoned it this year. Love the ability to start with a standard keyboard and customize it to have exactly what is needed. Three easily selectable keypads are better than one. I have added CalcTape to my iPad essentials list. EDIT: It's crashing frequently when used in slideover mode on iPad. I had to take away a star for this..MTguy23Version: 6.0.4

✓ CalcTapeApp def recommended. The only issue I’m Having is not able to write text. next to my numbers in iOS13. I wrote support few weeks ago and they said it would be fixed but so far no fix and I am not able to add text next to the numbers I input. I tend to use this app for budgeting. As of right now it is a fail. It’s no different then any Calc atm. Once they fix the text issue next to the values, then it’ll be 5 stars...I don’t fully understand why it doesn’t work atm or why they can’t implement an easy fix. ✓ Please fix this formerly great app!?I use Calc tape constantly on my computer, and have previously enjoyed using it on my iPhone as well. I am on iOS update 13.3.1, and now if I move to another app and then come back to Calc tape, it has crashed. It just sits there with the spinning circle, and says, “Loading”, indefinitely. ✓ Used to be GoodCalcTape has been my favourite calculator app for years until iOS 15. With iOS 15 on my iPhone, the bottom row of keys: 0, ., %, = are cut off. This makes calculations frustrating as that essential row of keys are unresponsive, require multiple presses, or cause unintentional app switching. Developers have never responded to emails. Unfortunately, I can no longer recommend this calculator app. For a much better experience and value for money, I recommend Digits..P_FivesVersion: 6.0.5

✓ Used for years, now it’s falling apartI’ve used for years and it was my go to instead of a regular calculator. The biggest feature was that you could make an ABC formatted comment next to a numeric item you’re calculating. Now no matter how you enter the numeric item, and then want to add an ABC formatted comment, it won’t work. I also have a persistent very old entry I can’t delete. The app now shuts down frequently in middle of entering numbers or comments. Uninstalling and reinstalling doesn’t work. I also lost a year old item I had stored in the cloud that I referred to often and made tweaks. I opened it today, with latest update…it’s simply GONE. It coincided with my installing the iPad vs of this for the first time today. I guess selecting to save things in the cloud, means anything saved local (because I’m such a long time user) caused me to lose access to the file. It worked so well. Like most apps, you need a trash can (at least if something is accidentally deleted by you can retrieve it), and settings how to save should be available not just at initial app install. As it stands now, after years of loving it, it’s useless..Reader979Version: 6.0.6
