Useless..Useless app with zero functionality.. it can’t even do a basic feature- load the ID cards.. when you ask it to load the ID cards, the app either crashes or shows an error message... zero quality check from the developers....Version: 2.2.3

Initial experienceI have a new dental plan that began this month with Guardian Direct and set up my account online today. Then I saw the website mentioning how iPhone users can “add your Dental ID card to your Apple wallet…” so I went to my iPhone and searched for Guardian Direct app and I see several variations depending on whether you are a provider, have dental/vision plan, or if you have life insurance plan. I chose this app and I immediately spied after I pressed on “View ID” then the app asks for “User ID” while website asked for my email address. This didn’t work so I pressed on “trouble logging in?” link. I pressed on “Forget User ID” (knowing that isn’t the case), and it asked for my email address. Next screen it says “We are sorry, but your access has been suspended…”. I panicked and went back to website and I still have no problems with website (even logging out and back in). This implies multiple issues with sync’ing between website and app..Version: 5.0

ID card and providersI guess that’s all it said the app is for… ID cards and finding providers (which were helpful). But once I have a dentist and an eye doctor and save my ID card to my Apple wallet, is there anything more? I hoped I might be able to see a record of visits, claims, way to pay bills, etc, but no? Strange that wouldn't be accessible..Version: 5.0

App reviewThe app is not user friendly and difficult to find eob’s, and when going back to another part of the app from viewing an eob the app logs you out altogether..Version: 5.0

Website UX is way betterHmmm first time using the app and not vibing with the errors and stuff. Probably better if they just copied the web UX into the app, but better in the app.Version: 5.0

Unable to log inI am registered and can log in with mu user name and password on the Guardian Website, but on the app I only get an error or it says its a wrong user/pass. It is not. Not happy. 2 stars, 1 because the app opens, 1 for finding doctors on the app..Version: 2.4.1

The worstThis app doesn’t work for customers covered through Cover CA. Also, there are dentists in there network that are out of business. I’ve been paying for months and when I needed to see a dentist, it turned out they had closed a long ago. Then I tried updating to a different dentist in the Guardian network and they didn’t have a working phone number or email address. I’m really worried about my teeth and I’m not able to see a dentist because Guardian keeps offering closed offices to me. Also, the website takes 2-3 business days to update anything so it kept telling me I had outstanding payments and I paid it multiple times before realizing that submitting payments through the website doesn’t change the status on the website..Version: 2.6

The app is almost uselessComparing to the other app I use for another insurance, this one has nothing to offer. I even cannot get my plan information since the login page is broken and returns “unknown error”..Version: 2.6

First time enrolleeApp is pretty straightforward and provider search feature works nicely. However, i am unable to generate an ID template to export to my apple wallet - which is my only gripe. I have tried re-logging, re-installing, and clearing background cache, and it always ends up in an error..Version: 5.0

Extremely Bad App.This app is not very user friendly. Once open, it takes you to an internet browser page that is not optimized for mobile layout. After the app redirects to the website, it gives me an error message when I try to log in. I know it is not my user information as I am able to log into my desktop computer’s browser. Mobile AppApp is clunky doesn't flow well in order to chat I have to constantly turn from upright to side view. Way to many pauses. Not very user friendly consider phone carry ID’s and other vital information I know because I develop mobile apps.Version: 4.1

Finally…Apple Wallet supportGlad I can finally add my card to Apple Wallet and not have to rely on the Guardian app or a wifi/data connection..Version: 3.6.1

Useless appI downloaded the app to get my ID card, which was perfect. But it was the ONLY good thing. You can’t do anything else useful. I can’t find my dentist, who contracts with Guardian. And that’s about all you can do. You can’t see claims, benefits or anything else of use. PLUS I cannot add my ID to Wallet. I downloaded a pic instead. I’m going to delete the app to save on space….Version: 3.5.1

This app needs workConstantly getting a “no data available error” No Face ID login or saved credentials. You cannot use this app like you would the website; it does not have all the features..Version: 2.3

Can’t sign inI am unable to login to the app despite having the correct credentials and being able to login via Desktop. The app claims my account was locked and I called support and was told that I could only use the desktop version and not the app. The link to app support is broken as well. So until the issues are fixed I don’t recommend bothering with this app. Just doesn’t work..Version: 3.5.1

UselessCant sign in, cant get ID card, cant contact support. The app is completely useless. The mobile website is useless. Ive deleted and reinstalled the app a dozen times and each time says “Unexpected error” when i try to sign in. Its trash..Version: 3.5.1

Adding to Apple Wallet IssuesI like that I can get my ID card on my phone through the app, however if trying to add the ID card to Apple Wallet (which is literally the only reason I downloaded the app) it always says that it’s having a problem and try again later. Still hasn’t worked since retrying for the past couple days..Version: 5.0

Claims & BenefitsOf all the insurance apps I have used, this is the only one that doesn’t even have basic features such as claims and benefits. Can you please add those to the app?.Version: 4.1

Wouldn’t recognize credentialsWouldn’t recognize my credentials. After resetting credentials and getting access I couldn’t get my dental plan cards. On phone they told me my cards weren’t available from the app. So I asked “then what’s the point of the app?”. They were unable to provide an answer to this question..Version: 2.6

Worst dental insuranceAfter the fifth time to contact them they finally give me my information. After that find a dentist, the majority of dr that i called were not working on the location they mention... very disappointed. I didn’t use for almost a year and when I really need it I didn’t received the service that I was paying for. I will not recommended.Version: 2.4.3

Lack of OptionsIt’s sad that once you establish a relationship with your dentist and your job switches you from HMO to PPO, you have to look for another dentist because the current one doesn’t except the previous dentist. So AGGRAVATING!!!!.Version: 5.0

Barely Helpful AppThis app really does not do much. It doesn’t remember login info, or allow you to sign in with Touch ID or Face ID, and won’t allow you to save your insurance card to Apple Wallet for easy access. Overall, it just doesn’t do anything too useful..Version: 2.2.1

Cards are goneUpdates the app - it said cards could be added to apple wallet (finally). Instead it not displays an error message and can’t even get the cards in the app. Ok, that’s broke so I look as the find a dentist option. It says to look at you card to find out what kind of plan you have. That should be built in. You have my ID, you should know which plan I have. Really bad programming! I have no idea how anyone gave it more than 1 star - it deserves none since it pretty much useless. Also something’s broke in the ratings. It shows mostly 5 star ratings but all but a few of the reviews are 1 - 2 stars..Version: 3.6.1

BuggySearched for dentists in my area. All 50 results had the same exact address so the map wasn’t usable and I wasn’t able to see which were in my town vs the next town over. Not accurate or helpful..Version: 2.4.3

Impossible to useI have tried so many times to get a card or any information to be able to get the care needed .... I am always hit with a road block and get no where so I have basically wasted an entire year paying for coverage and not getting anywhere with this insurance provider.Version: 2.2.4

Went to the app to try and get contact info to request a call back from their “expert” who made decision but no option to do so. UselessI tried to find a new dentist in the list of general dentists in my neighborhood after my dentist died about two years ago. I called three dentists that were within 10 miles from my house. They were all either specialty dentists or would not take HMO patients. Goes without saying my own dentist, the one who died two years ago, was still listed. The list is totally outdated and in its current form not useful..Version: 2.0

Poor customer serviceMy employer mistakenly left off one of my sons as a dependent and today they tried to fox it. However Guardian refuses to verify that he has been added until thirty days after my employer called. Sure hope it was done correctly, if not I’ll need to wait ANOTHER thirty days..Version: 4.1

Scam like all insurance companiesThis is based on this insurance provider and the app. The app tells you guardians dental providers that they work with . Every single one I call is not accepting new patients . So I’m forced to find someone then the dental insurance only covers what they want to. Even on two fillings my bill was 350. Insurance covered 170 and said the rest is on me because I chose my own dentist . Not sure what I’m supposed to do but stay away if at all possible.Version: 2.2.4

Find a dentist functionality is terribleAs someone who has been on teams that build mobile apps, the find a dentist functionality is pretty terrible. Clunky, difficult to use, and the search only returns a limited number of results. You can’t even search by map area that you’re viewing..Version: 2.4.3

TerribleTrying to create an account is terrible. There is a live chat window that takes up half The window so you can’t get to the field and the consent for can’t be reached using the scroll! This has to be designed for a pc and not a mobile device.Version: 2.4.1

This app does not show account informationI am, and have been over and over, disappointed with this app. Account information should be easily available. There is no button to press for this function; and the computer website is sooooo cumbersome as to be useless. I don’t want to waste my time going through their various insurance options and have to select the one that is j u s t right before I can view my payments and balances for dental providers. I use a few other medical/ health apps, none of them is this frustrating..Version: 5.0

Antiquated AppThis app is stupid. You can’t use it by just logging in and finding a dentist etc. You have to know whether you are on a PPO etc when you should be able to log into your account and access the providers associated with your account data. Of course I can save dentists or log in to print or email myself an insurance card if I need to, but that’s about it. I guess I expected something a bit more sophisticated..Version: 2.0

UselessYou have to manually log in every single time you open the app. Ridiculously antiquated. I have to dig out my user name and password every time I want to use it or when I’m standing at the dental office to retrieve my card. How is this in any way handy? I understand the need for privacy and security but get with the times for crying out loud and offer touch or Face ID login if you’re going to require this. I deleted it. It’s easier and faster to just grab my actual ID card out of my wallet..Version: 2.2.4

RegisteringAfter creating an account via the apps browser, instead of being redirected back to the app to log in I am told to login within the apps browser which makes 0 sense..Version: 3.2

Cannot LoginI’ve only had this app for 5 minutes and does not recognize my login credentials. I wish I had read through the reviews before trying this, because I could have saved the frustration of being told my user ID does not exist when it very well does!.Version: 2.4.3

Terrible appWhat is the point of an app that just sends you to their website? Also, you can’t see the whole screen when registering so it takes forever to enter your info, then it doesn’t recognize you anyway. Waste of time..Version: 2.4.3

Apple wallet support?!We don’t need bug fixes or stability improvements, what we need is an app redone from the ground up to take advantage of the huge screens we all have now and ESPECIALLY Apple Wallet support. I switched from Delta Dental to you, only to find a terrible terrible app and no support for Apple wallet..Version: 2.4.1

Website turned into app?This is a waste of time. Wish Gurdian would spend some money to have an app build. They basically are loading the webpages from the app, that makes for a terrible experience that if you make a mistake you have to start from zero. Save yourself a lot of time and just go to the website. This app is garbage..Version: 2.5

Mobile app needs workCould not use mobile app. Was unable to register. Would not allow you to select yes for agreement. Asked for 2 digit birthday but only allows for one. Does not fit into mobile screen must scroll..Version: 2.4

Personalized dentist searchShould automatically find dentist based on your plan in the find a dentist section. Or the plan name should be found more easily..Version: 5.0

Member ID number not visibleNot very helpful when using the information. I realize the default member ID is SS (which is also insane), but when I tried to use that my dentist office said there’s another ID number that they can’t find, so they have to call and ask for it..Version: 5.0
