✓ Great game ruined by greedThey have developed a truly great game here, one of the best around for phones, but like many modern games, it suffers from what is known as ‘scripting’ for the sake of making more money. The game is geared up to entice you to spend in everything direction you turn. If you hit a good score and things are going well for you, the scripting will kick in and £ begin to appear in the devs eyes. Suddenly, a really large fish with er…a flamethrower, yes a flamethrower that’ll do, will appear and begin chasing you with very little chance of escape. Don’t worry though, all is not lost for you’re given the chance to revive yourself! After you watch a video £££. That’s cool though, this is the free version and they should rightfully make money. What the game doesn’t tell you however, is that once you’ve watched one of these videos, your health then drains much more quickly. Oh and lots more flamethrower sharks…oh and sometimes even though you roll right over another fishy, your shark doesn’t eat it and..you’re dead! How about another advert and 6 more flamethrower sharks with 5 seconds left of health? $£$£$£$ Honestly, really good game but they’ve messed with it a bit too much for my liking..Version: 9.9.4
✓ Great but.....I have had the game for a few years now and still absolutely love, that said however there are a few ways in which the game can improve : first of all - I’m sure this has been mentioned previously and you can say the same for most games - gems should be easier to get and the prices for special accessories is quite high making them very hard to obtain. Secondly, I think that there should either be multiple maps or the basic map itself should be extended and more locations like the crabs nest or anglers nest should be introduced ; for people like me who have been playing for a while the map gets a bit boring and there’s actually not much to do once you’ve done everything a few times. ✓ Great game but 2 problems for meWhen you get burnt by the flames underwater where it's deep knowing that there is a lack of fish to snack on, when you get burnt you can no longer eat until you have stopped burning therefore if you are low health get burnt and there are fish around you it's really annoying because you can't eat any of them to restore your health so in other words you die. ✓ Used to be a better gameI recently started playing this again because I did 5 years ago and it was an excellent game then. Your sharks were able to survive a pretty long time without a bunch of weird sharks and fish attacking you. I also remember that my shark used to eat everything it’s mouth was on (which it should) but now even on max bite, it still missed tons of fish and has trouble eating enemies. I remember when you were a tiger shark and the biggest threat was a great white or sub. Now in shallow water even I get attacked by multiple zombie sharks, pyro sharks, electro sharks, and more. I find it unfair that around a certain score my health starts to deteriorate even faster than before. I also notice the excessive use of bombs... there are huge bombs that you barely have room to get by as well inside of caves which you cannot avoid. I’ve been playing for about a couple days now and I’m almost to the megalodon and I love this game, however, it used to be much more enjoyable and less complex. PSA: why do seals attack you, they’re literally one of the most well known prey of sharks?.Version: 8.0.6

✓ Crap because now always crashesI like the game it’s just that when you delete it, all data goes away and there’s no way to get it back. Can you add this feature to IPad please FGOL and Usbisoft? Thank you There is also a problem with the game now when it can’t let you get back in the game. When I open the game it immediately kicks me out. ✓ Good but needs major improvements...First and foremost, the game is broken, random super powerful sharks come out of nowhere, kill you, and then vanish, and you can’t escape them either. Then there’s the fact that bombs and jellyfish just come out of nowhere and the screen doesn’t adjust or let you know you just have to blow up and find out. Then if you go into the portal some friggin shark with a jet pack comes out of nowhere and sends you back and then you have to wait another day to go back. Also why the hell did you take out the blood? It was the only realistic part of the game, now it just looks stupid whenever you eat something. And also the other sharks are WAY to hard to unlock, it’s practically a pay to win game, but that’s problematic as well since all the in-app purchases are a rip off. Aside from all that there are many good aspects of the game, like how the combos are easy to do and how gold rush isn’t hard to get. It’s also good how they didn’t focus on the boss fight to much considering it’s just an all out shark eating everything game. I also like how they have goals for each shark so that it’s quite easy to make gold. Another thing is that you only need to wait seven days and then you’ll get Alan, one of the best sharks in the game who is practically invincible. ✓ The game crashing is not making us happyOk overall this game is awesome I played it when I was younger. this game before was always a cash grab but now it is absurd I mean it’s hard to get gems as is but holy crap the prices!. Also, the game keeps crashing the mid-game and it is affecting your reviews if you haven’t noticed. idk if the original creator decided to sell out because I don’t the glitch gets folk remember this company but as the owner of this game it’s your job to fix issues that occur if you want your games to get good reviews. ✓ Pay to Play NonsenseI’ve been playing this game for over 4 years, and I’ve always loved it. I recently reinstalled it after a year long break, and I see that it has been updated to be even more pay to play than it used to be. The special sharks are 900 gems ($50) and nobody in their right minds would spend that kind of money on a virtual shark. That’s all fine and dandy, except this time around, I see that special sharks spawn almost everywhere you go and kill you in one hit and the only way to kill them is to purchase said $50 shark (shocker, right?) With that said, I am disappointed that FGOL has fallen into the money hungry trap that almost every other developer has become. However, the graphics, mechanics and the overall idea of the game are very fun. It’s a great game, minus the money factor and the fact that it takes absolutely forever to evolve your sharks once you get past the Mako. ✓ Wish I Hadn’t Revisited This GameI remember loving this game a years back, so I decided to redownload this game after trying out HS World. Now... I would have much rather let this game die without further exploration into it. The controls... the gameplay... the sharks... all of it are horrible. The controls feel so slippery, like I barely have control over the shark before it bursts off at speeds that make it impossible to control efficiently. The gameplay is so unsatisfying and wonky. I often swim straight through enemies without my shark even attempting to eat it! And the sharks! Oh, the sharks! The only two lab sharks I got were complete jokes. The Electro Shark is the better of the two but so not fun to use. The boost is too limited, ruining the fun. The Robo Shark sacrifices boost for an incredibly long jetpack and mine launcher. Sounds good, right? NOPE! The lack of boost means this shark is the epitome of stupid. It can barely eat the mines without you circling around them for 30 minutes. It can also barely snatch any fish or other sea animal unless it goes directly into its mouth. I’m heading back to HS World now. Maybe you guys at FGOL should bring some of its gameplay here so this game could become decent for once..Version: 6.0.0
✓ MoneyHey this is a great game and I would love to put 5 stars but it’s just that the money for just a couple of gems is CRAZY!! I was playing and wanted to buy a special shark but they were like 100 or more gems! I usually get a gem fish almost once or twice a day! So, it’s sort of hard to get gems to get like 100 or more gems! Please, either make the sharks cheaper on gems or make gems more easier to get. Also, yes, coins are easy to get but after the mako shark upgrade, you have to spend a lot of coins to get the next shark. And coins are easy to get, but I have noticed that the reef sharks waters that it swims in gets the most coins. Already, ever since I got the mako, I could tell I couldn’t get lots of coins like I used to. It just keeps getting harder and harder to get coins in every different waters you go to! Please fix this to where you can get almost the same amount of coins in each different part of water you go to! And just by buying the coins ands gems with real money is horrendous!! ✓ Gone DownhillI have played this game on and off for many years, and while it’s definitely one of my favorite mobile games it’s becoming significantly less enjoyable. Over the years they’ve added newer sharks with cartoonish looks and magical powers. Not a problem if you’re interested in that (though it’s thematically strange), but now just a few minutes into a game these fire breathing sharks will appear and kill you immediately with little recourse. This is especially annoying considering how much grinding is required to level up and get new sharks. It makes playing feel pointless and frustrating. I think the costs for getting new sharks is wayyy too high if they’re going to spawn unkillable death machines into every run. Seems to me that the idea is you’re forced to pay money for these newer sharks, which make the game honestly way too easy it’s not even exciting or fun. This game is enjoyable if you plan on only playing 8 minute games and grinding for hours to get even small upgrades/levels..Version: 10.0.0
✓ Respect Megalodon MoreListen ubisoft.... for a game called “hungry shark” why is the megalodon so week??? Even the enemy megalodon sharks are weak.... they don't chase you around at all. I was playing as the dunkleostus and I decided to see how threatening the megalodon was... and megalodon swam towards me.. i was facing away from it so i wouldnt accidentally eat it... and it swam towards me and didn’t even bite down... now I wanna get a high score and all that but comon.... how can you make the meg so week an enemy megalodon literally isnt even a threat to the player. ✓ To many flawsIve been playing the game for a while now and I get its supposed to get harder as you go but I’ve noticed that the longer you stay alive your healthy starts to drain ridiculously fast which is no incentive to get higher scores-and is almost a punishment for being better at the game. Also several times through playing the shark randomly doesn’t eat. It will literally swim through a school Of fish n eat nothing. Often when collecting the “hungry” letters or gold rush then too the shark doesn’t eat for a couple seconds. Plus I think when getting shot by the chopper the fact that you are frozen and can’t move is a flaw because it doesn’t allow you to move to regain health however it shoots numerous bombs at you which you cant move. There has been several times that any and all fish(FOOD) Have randomly disappeared through out the stage even when traveling long distance through the stage while health drain there was absolutely no fish. When missions are to eat a certain amount of specific fish or birds or drones it seems like when it’s the mission it’s harder to come across those things to eat to complete the mission yet when its not the mission you can find those fish or things in abundance..Version: 5.6.0
✓ Starting to notice a problem...So I’ve been playing this game for a little while now, and I have a fully grown hammerhead shark and am currently saving up to buy the tiger shark. Overall, I’ve been having fun playing this game. However, I have started to notice that I can’t get past a certain score, no matter how well I play. Once I get around 300k score, all of a sudden I start getting attacked by submarines, great whites, and electro sharks out of nowhere, and there’s really nothing I can do about it. One time, I had a great white and a submarine on my tail, and I was able to get a gold rush, so I went back and ate the great white and destroyed the submarine. But then, as I was swimming back the other way, I was jumped by an electro shark. I was able to shake him off for a few seconds, and I thought I lost him, but then he just swooped down in front of me and shocked me to death. Keep in mind that this stuff is happening over and over again at around 300k score, hence why I find it hard to believe it’s just a coincidence. Developers, if this isn’t a coincidence, please make the game a bit more fair and possible for those of us who are playing without paying. Overall though, I’ve been having a lot of fun playing this game, which is why I took the time to write this review..Version: 5.3.0

✓ Shark evolutionI’ve only recently started playing shark evolution and I absolutely love the game! Only issue I have is there’s WAY TOO MANY ADS! Most of the ads are forced (by pressing next after a game ffs) and then there ads to double your coins or to revive,but it’s a bit of a pisser that you watch an ad to double the coins only to then have a forced ad too and there’s never a skip button either! I love the game but the ads are already peeing me off big time so I’m not sure I’ll be playing it long,I’ll most likely find another shark game that doesn’t have ads. So disappointing because if the devs just stopped the forced ads and left the ones for the player to watch for in game bonuses etc it would be a great game,but as it is there’s too many ads,I want to spend my time playing a game not watching dumb inane ads >:(.Version: 7.6

✓ Fun game however a lot of bugsGrew up playing this game and only recently came back to it to start fresh. There is a lot of new stuff going on which I’m attempting my to understand but my main issue is the bugs. I physically cannot progress any longer because it is glitched out saying I need to max out previous sharks to unlock new ones, even though all my sharks are level 10 with max upgrades. There is also a lot of new dangers which clutter the entire map. The seals are just straight annoying and serve no purpose in the game at all. ✓ GemsI rate the game itself 5 stars as it’s so much fun but recently I’ve had 2 faults.. First one was after saving and watching videos for gems I brought the jet pack (600 gems) however I’ve not got it but my gems have been taken. I tried deleting and reinstalling the app but it’s not worked. The second one was I watched 50 videos to get 50 gems so I can get that blood thing which I did get but very disappointed, it’s barely anything and was a huge waste of my time, watching them videos for basically nothing… it’s kinda put me off the game. The ocean should be bigger or have different levels which increase in size to give you more to explore. I’m on the tiger shark right now and what I don’t get is why it’s not eating as much as the other sharks. Like if I have a shark next to me and eat it, then I have to wait like 10 seconds to eat something else, making me lose health. Please fix that because it’s stressing me out. Also what I don’t understand stand is how the great white costs more than the electro shark. The electro shark is much smaller but has more power that the great white. ✓ This game has given me ptsdI am personally disturbed and disgusted by this game. My son asked for this game for me to get him and when I downloaded i heard the shrieks and cries of the people my son was devouring in this shark game. Due to shock of the sound i jumped up from my office chair and banged my head on the ceiling which gave me severe concussions ,I had to be put on medication and i had also to be put on life support for my brain damage. This is an extremely terrible influence for children do not let your child within 100 metres of this game. ✓ Fun but Quite BuggyShark can randomly fly across the map, once the screen started flashing and crazy stuff happened, only once I have had that. The new Luminite shark has a death bug, when you die it can just float around upside down and all other buttons freeze. The only way to fix it is to force close the app which loses all progress of the run. This was quite annoying as I had earnt two achievements. ✓ It’s okay...It’s a good game my friend showed me it and I play it like everyday however I don’t like how when you randomly get zapped by a lightning shark when you think that they only exist when u pay over 100 diamonds to buy it and you usually do not see them coming, so you have no way to escape.i also am not happy with how it takes so long to get money and gems unless you PAY for them. ✓ 2 problems for my personal experienceMy 2 problems with this game is, when you’re playing as a weak shark (such as one of the first 3 sharks) and you get killed by a stronger shark like Great White and others sharks, usually you would go back to the menu, pay gems to get revived or watch an ad, now the problem is, when I paid my gems to revive myself I get killed by the stronger sharks again because the chase you, making it almost impossible to escape. This happened to me when I was trying to finish missions on one of my weaker sharks and I paid my gems several time just to get killed again, which that was just a waste of my gems. I think that you should add less predators when playing weaker sharks, because it makes it harder just to play weaker sharks when the stronger shark can just constantly kill you. My last problem is, ads are just constantly thrown at your face like it’s nothing and it just pisses me off. But I of course still enjoy this games other that my 2 problems..Version: 7.7.0

✓ Great concept but basically pay to win.As far as mobile games go this one is somewhat in a league of it’s own. The graphics are good, the controls work well and the mechanics are smooth. I was happy to pay to remove the adverts as I thought the developers deserve it in this case and when you start, things progress nicely. Until you acquire the Hammerhead that is. Basically, the moment you equip the hammerhead and dive in the game decides to release all the biggest sharks in the game at you and any hope of completing the “find the object” missions is non existent. It’s fine until a minute in when every other enemy I encounter is one I can’t attack, I’m just met with a message “You need a bigger shark”. Progression at this point is ground completely to a halt and frankly I’m not paying £10 for a half decent shark. It’s a good mobile game, but a mobile game none the less and is therefore worth no more than a fiver at best. So all in all, it’s alright, hell it’s good. Just until you have the audacity to try and progress without paying through the nose for anything that’ll remotely compete against whatever the game throws at you. Edit: It’s worth pointing out that if you do get to the last shark, it is glitching at the moment. Die twice, and the game stops with no option to continue and you are unable to progress or quit via pause. This means you lose pretty much everything you’ve done for that game..Version: 8.2.0
✓ A few problemsSo I’ve been playing this for a long time and I’ve come across a few problems that can ruin the game play. They’re not really bad but altogether they are pretty annoying. Problem 1: the sizes- every character has a size, but some are ridiculous. For example it says that the kraken is 16M but when you play as him you can clearly see he/she is a lot bigger. The same goes for: sharkjira, abyss shark, and the new shark who’s name I can’t remember. Problem 2: the bite- each character has 3 different upgrades: the bite, the speed, and the boost. However I haven’t seen any difference in a shark without their bite maxed and a shark with their bite maxed. Maybe I just don’t see it but I can’t notice a single difference. ✓ Too many sharksThe game is fun, I’ve played for a few hours and am using the Sharkjira and the Megalodon, however both have the same problem; there’s always something bigger. I will have been playing for a 10 minute run and an enemy 8 levels higher will spawn and instantly kill me, and that’s how almost all of the games end. Since there’s so many sharks and it takes more and more time per shark you either have to pay money or devote dozens of hours to level up, and even then you’ll still die to something bigger. Besides that the new sharks feel like they weren’t as developed, they’re more cartoony and lack the texturing that makes the earlier sharks look interesting, and the sharks don’t feel like they really add anything since by the Dunkleosteus almost everything in the map is at your mercy, so the new sharks are only ‘better’ because they can eat the new sharks. I would recommend that the leveling should’ve ended at either the Dunkleosteus or the Mosasaurus. That or some more texturing, design or features be added to the game to make the new sharks worth buying. With all that being said don’t take this as me not recommending the game. It’s a really fun way to burn some hours which I did because my laptop needed to be fixed. I wouldn’t say that time wasn’t worth it and I would recommend other friends to play it, I just feel like some of the ‘fat’ should be trimmed off of the game..Version: 9.7.0

✓ Why the seeeaaalllsss!!!It’s great until it’s not. No but for real what is up the the seals. I been playing for 3 days and my biggest issue is the seals. I’ve finally made it to the great white thinking maybe the seals would finally leave me alone but no. I played this game when it first came out and I remember how fun it was so I figured I’d try it out again and I’m more than impressed but no seal is going to attack a great white. I understand wanting to have enemies to fight with but if I’m swimming at a baby seal as a great white, my bite should win not the seals, and not to mention how they bite and latch on forever I swear my average time as the great white is 16 seconds because there’s so many seals and submarines. I wasn’t even worried about any other sharks I just wanted the great white but it’s formulated so you have to get bigger and bigger sharks if you don’t want to be messed with and it makes it feel kinda lame..Version: 10.2.6
✓ I miss the old versionI absolutely loved this game!! I would always play it but then my phone broke. I got a new one but I didn’t download it until about a year or so after. When I got the app I realized all the changes, the special sharks that once were extremely hard to get now were easier. They were also one of the enemy sharks or whatever you want to call it in the game. It makes it harder to get a higher score especially if you have a low shark. I miss how it used to be and I don’t like the new changes! I wish they didn’t change it but it’s still a pretty good game!!! I also noticed that you start getting ambushed by sharks and submarines and stuff at a certain score. Every time I get to a certain score an electro shark always pops up somewhere. It’s really annoying and it doesn’t make it very enjoyable. I miss when you only had to worry about the great white and hammer heads and stuff. If I wanted to fight with one of them, I would go over to the King Crab and fight him!.Version: 5.9.4
✓ Can’t turn off shark invasion.This is a pretty fun a game I remember playing years ago when I was abound 12, and I decided to redownload it again for nostalgia. It’s still fun, and most new additions to the gameplay are enjoyable - apart from the online “shark invaders part”. I noticed there is a switch in-game to turn this mode off, but it doesn’t seem to work. I’m not sure if this is just a bug or if you simply can’t turn it off, but I would quite like it if this could be fixed. Cheers..Version: 9.9.4
✓ Impossible Difficulty brackets, micro transaction-yThis game showed so much promise up until the ‘Megaloden’ shark. It’s now become increasingly obvious, that a difficulty cap has been placed on the more expensive sharks, in order to make the game artificially harder and increase micro transaction profits. This included nonsensical enemies, that could outrun almost every shark available to the player, with no warning, nor way to avoid them. This meant that my games went from almost 9-12 minutes of playtime, to under 1 minute, as an enemy way more powerful than myself, might spawn with me. (I was killed 7 times in a row, by a fire breathing enemy I encountered within 30 seconds of playtime, that could travel through walls and mines… what the heck??) Frustrating and extremely disappointing, will not be playing again until they remove ‘flame sharks’ and rebalance enemy difficulty..Version: 9.0.2
