✓ Feel robbedThis used to be one of my favourite apps. Now, I found I can’t access the purchases I made in good faith years ago. I have to subscribe now? Doesn’t even recognise my email or send a password reset it says has sent. Feel like my account has just been taken off me, even though I paid for things in the past. What a terrible way to treat customers. Really disappointed. Also, who in their right mind would pay that amount for subscription to this kind of app anyway? ✓ I can’t get to my accountWhen I was trying to go to use Over it said ‘Oh no we hit a snag and had to log you out’ Normally that would happen I would just log in but when I tried to log in it loaded and loaded and loaded and it never stopped! I even tried making a new account and the same thing happened. I’m quite disappointed because I can’t use Over anymore. I have also deleted the app and downloaded it again. ✓ How do I Download Free Version ?I have seen a number of responses from the developer regards really good free version for those who did not want to go Pro and pay Subscription. I downloaded this app in good faith after reading it was number one in ten free apps for adding text to photos. ✓ Over forcing reviewsDon't get me wrong I love the app, just not impressed with being forced to write reviews to access what was free before the latest update. Extra review: Sadly, I'm using Over less with every update, from the points above to constant pushing to move to a monthly payment model, especially as I purchased the app when it came out, also purchased lots of add ons which I no longer have access too, poor form guys. Update: now over is no longer, acquired by godaddy and the subscriptions keep coming, all of the graphics,fonts I purchased I cannot access, tried a subscription for a year before godaddy took over, all the graphics I saved, gone, yes the files I created are still available but I just can’t justify the cost, so rarely use it anymore, once a vital tool, not anymore.Version: 8.0.12

✓ Absolute scamIt’s always been such a great handy app. But now it’s totally changed and not for the better. Recently I picked a new font design, said it was a trial. Sadly didn’t mention that after just ONLY 7 days that would roll into a monthly subscription of £9.50! Or almost £50 a year! What a joke. Never heard of an app charging that much for some text and logo designs. It should have been clearly written what using that design entitled and it never was. I want a refund. I never even used that app after and frankly, would have never picked it in first place if I knew it’s going to cost me £10! So disappointed, I feel totally scammed..Version: 5.4.1
✓ :(I loved this app for years, but lately, every time I try to edit text it glitches. The screen slides up and down. I can’t tap on one word directly, it selects a random word above or below where I tapped. This happens CONSTANTLY, it makes editing 10x longer and it’s really frustrating, especially when you have your creativity flowing. The worst part I think, though, is that you can only contact Over if you have a subscription? I tried to find a way to contact them via the internet and the only thing I found was a Help Section on their site that said something like, If you’re subscribed you can contact the Over Team. Even if I don’t pay (I have paid for fonts), I should be able to inform the team that there’s a MAJOR problem..Version: 7.2.11
✓ Go ProGo Pro, Go Pro, Go Pro, everything I tap on gives the annoying upsell page. Every editing tool I used to use, now Pro! Fonts and tools used to have Pro next to them, now removed and replaced by the up sell page, which is just so tedious having to close the page again & again to the point I just gave up editing. What used to be good is now just another over priced app. Deleted. Maybe look at Affinity, £50 for the desktop £20 for the App, once, for life..Version: 7.1.17
✓ Long-time user disappointed in new directionI’m a long time user of this app (back when it was “Over”.) I got it as an “app of the week” purchase, and I instantly fell in love with it. The more popular the app got, however, the more features began to be taken away (turned to premium): for example, creating shapes. I understand that—the app has to make money somehow, and I was still happy with the free features. However, today was the last straw for me when I found the Google search feature had been removed. This is the only reason I have the app at this point; and having it taken away minimizes my need for an app such as this. All I wanted a quick, easy way to create funny memes every once in a while. Without the Google feature (providing lovely png images, as well) there is no need for me to have this app anymore. ✓ Product > Service move is money-making but bad bad bad badThis app used to be called Over and featured some paid add-on packs. Then they took those away and turned the app into a subscription service. Then they did something else. I have no idea what they turned it into, because they locked me out of the app (that I’ve already spent money on add-on packs for) unless I start a GoDaddy account (which I refuse to do). Let us make those templates instead of limiting us from accessing them all together! ✓ Dishonest!!!I downloaded this app, and was asked to create a sign-in. Then I was notified that I was going to be billed monthly!! At no time did I agree to this! Apparently, iTunes will now bill be automatically for the use of this app. I immediately deleted it from my device, but cannot seem to undo this money-grabbing feature. ✓ Great - but expensiveThis is a very good, powerful photo editing app. To add professional looking effects and wording is a doddle. BUT. Just under £10 A MONTH for the pro feature is ridiculously expensive. I have just cancelled my subscription (didn’t know I had it) so I will wait and see what features I lose. ✓ Great design but steep costThe app is for the most part well executed. Like many others my main issue comes with the cost associated with “pro”. While I think this app is very useful and would gladly pay for more access, the asking price is too high. The pre designed image files are super helpful, even the free ones, but they lack any sort of organization. The lack of the shape tool in the free version is annoying and perplexing. The idea of paying $10 a month for access to an unmanageable library of images, a shape tool, and more fonts seems crazy. For most people using this for their online business that probably costs more than they pay in hosting each month. Having access to this type of functionality on your mobile device is definitely worth some money, but at $10 a month I don’t think a lot of people can justify this. I would like to see a way to access more functionality without such a high subscription fee. The move from purchased content to subscription has obviously angered many here. I’m just not sure what the thinking behind it was. Most users are probably stuck somewhere in the middle of wanting to support this app but not being able to commit to that cost..Version: 5.3.2

✓ {WAS} MY GO-TO APP!{UPDATE: I’ve been using Over for years now to make beautiful, custom content. Each update over the last year has stripped away more and more (once free) features that I’ve gotten used to and depended on. Like today, I log in to knock out a quick project and find that all my imported fonts are GONE and now I have to pay to import them. I understand charging for these features, but I think it is completely crappy to go back and strip away features from long-time loyal users and expect us to pay for the numerous features we’ve been using for years.} I'd be LOST without this app! Now that it has Unsplash built right into the iOS interface, I really can't see how it could be any better!! I use Over almost exclusively for my everyday business photos/memes/posters. ✓ ⚠️DO NOT TRUST GODADDY - STOLEN MONEY⚠️They deleted my warning FAST the last time I wrote this review. They took my money, made it impossible to figure out how to cancel my subscription, ruined Over, and their "customer service" LIED and straight up hung up and ended the chat to avoid resolution. I used to purchase Over Pro off and on when needed because it was amazing, and kept doing so when GoDaddy bought it cuz it was still amazing, until one day I had to cancel because the resolution output on my projects became garbage literally over night. Didn't stop them from charging me next month though, Apple acct said no active subscription, but the Studio app did. GoDaddy's customer service is exclusively populated by barely english speaking men who will tell you "Please wait a minute" and "I am looking into it now" after which they promptly hang up or end the chat. I was told multiple times "I cancelled the subscription" and "There is no active subscription" and 5 chat attemtps later an agent showed me how to check my renewal on the godaddy website, where I finally cancelled it myself, and the website gave me a date of cancellation four days in the future. I dispute the charge with Apple and they refunded it, but the app still shows active renewal. This is an absolute scam. Literally their only modus operandi is to terminate their interaction with you at the expense of anything, they do not want to resolve any issues or face any glaring issues with the app. They won't even tell you "I'll pass your concerns onto the developer team" Please spare yourself this suffering. It's not worth it. I don't think there are any more apps out there like Over anymore, it's sad but don't give these people your payment details and if you bite on the free trial CANCEL THE AUTOSUBSCRIPTION RIGHT AWAY..Version: 8.0.13

✓ More $ or less contentI understand the need to offer subscription payment for upgraded options, Particularly for commercial or business usage. For new users, the free version usually allows the consumer to try out the app and see if it works for them and if the upgraded paid version is justified based on need/pricing/additional capabilities&applicability etc. For me, I found the free version too limited and it would be extremely difficult to justify purchasing a subscription (options available are not enticing nor flexible/varied/customized/targeted enough based on what I experienced), so I was disappointed after Apple highlighted this app (Story). Another waste of my time, but maybe they already have their target audience on board. So its back to the old reliable ones while I continue the search for better free or low cost additions to my creative app portfolio. And those that justify a subscription for me (business or personal) are transparent, proven, value-conscious, and consumer sensitive..Version: 6.4.13
✓ GREAT APP, but...Your app is great, but not impressively great enough to justify a $10/per month, or $60-$100/year pay forever, subscription/“conscription” pricing model. Especially after having many features free or low cost for many years. I finally and reluctantly just had to dumped Over and found cheaper, one-time pay alternatives that are just as flexible and comprehensive enough to include many feature I need and the developers are still continuing to update. You guys and gals at Over need to reconsider your monetising strategy/subscription costs or you will continue to lose customers. ✓ Update not workingThis is by far one of my favorite apps to use, but I just downloaded the update and it’s not allowing me to do basic functions like change the size of the graphic. This is the only reason why I’m not giving it 3 stars. I had to to the upgrade on my iPad because it had already upgraded on my iPhone and the iPad app prompted me to do the update. Also, it would be nice if we were able to duplicate a graphic we created while in “Folders” instead of only being able to duplicate in “Projects”. Since I’m working between two devices and what is in “Projects” doesn’t transfer from device to device, but only “Folders” it would be nice to have this feature available in folders as well. ✓ Teams Price is INSANEI’ve been using Over for 5+ years now. It’s my favorite design app by far. When they added the feature to be able to collaborate with other folks, it was pretty amazing. I didn’t need to use it often but when the project came and I did, that was insanely helpful. Now they’re charging for it (WHICH I GET) but it’s $60 A MONTH. I understand if you’re marketing to people who need to use the teams feature with multiple people and on a daily basis- but what about the freelance designer that just needs the feature a couple times a year and with one other person? The price is outrageous for the not every day designer. It’s polarizing. Just create different tiers for different levels of use. If someone’s going to need this feature on a larger scale, they should have to pay more. But if you have seldom use for it, you shouldn’t have to pay $60/month to activate a collaboration. I already pay you $8/month for my Pro membership and I’m happy to spend that money to unlock features I use regularly. Teams? That’s an absolutely out of control price..Version: 6.7.0

✓ I love this app, sorta.I’ve been using over as a creative outlet and to make quick graphics for a few months now, and I can definitely vouch for the quality of the pro features (although I do agree with many previous reviews that 100 a year is quite steep). HOWEVER, there is one giant problem that I find beyond vexing. There is ZERO way to contact someone when there’s a problem with your app. I found that my exports suddenly (within the last week or so) started to decrease in size whenever I would look at them outside of Over. Some pictures would be resized dramatically (from 10MB to 2MB, exported as a PNG 2048x2048, but somehow also resized down to 1280x1280). When I tried to find ANY troubleshooting for this problem, I was taken to a bit of a oversimplified FAQ. Despite combing through every section, hoping to find a “contact us if you need more help” of some sort, there was none. They have direct email links for influencers, collaborators, employee hopefuls, among other things, but NO help or direct contact for their customers (even with a pro subscription). I’m still sitting here unable to use the app properly now and I can’t contact anyone other than by writing this review and hoping a developer takes notice..Version: 7.0.3

However, the latest release demands that I set up an ‘over’ account just to use the app? ✓ Pointless Unless You Pay - Good Features Are Pro FeaturesWhy did you decide to make all the features for “pro” only? I love this app and have made countless photo projects. Sadly when I went to create a new one I was shocked to find that all the graphics (apart from a handful) are for pro users only, selected fonts are for pro users only, and many of the other features I loved are now pro only. I’m not going to pay $15 a month for an app I use maybe once a week and I’m not going to pay the $80 or so year subscription up front either. I’m not going to use your app anymore. ✓ Great product, way too much money for the subscriptionI guess I want to start off by saying that I love this app. I started using it to make designs for a t-shirt company that I wanted to get off the ground. I had the app when you were able to purchase individual packs of fonts and things and bought almost, if not all, of the fonts they had available and some other packs and then they changed it to an app that you had to pay for monthly or yearly to gain access to everything. I wanted to use the app for my business so I paid the $50 for the one year subscription (even though then I thought that that was a lot of money). I then had to take a break from my business because me and my wife had a baby. It’s been some time and I was looking at starting my business again using the Over app to help me out. I come to find out that they raised the price of the yearly subscription from $50 to $100. I can’t do it guys. I mean honestly. I’m frustrated because I really like this app and I’m not sure that there is another one like Over out there. But I can’t bring myself to pay $100 for an app on my phone. ✓ Unable to cancel subscription inside the appFirst of all, this is a great app But their shady subscriptions will throw you off Once you subscribe for free week, and if you try cancel your subscription through settings inside over, the cancelling page indefinitely stuck in loading state - very convenient. You’ll have to go to your Apple account page and unsubscribe there if you want your money back.Version: 6.1.0
✓ Removal of Google Image Search was a mistakeBeing able to use PNGs from Google directly in the app was the biggest draw for me. It simplified SO MUCH. The moment Go Daddy took over, it feels like a reduction in quality. I miss the old Over to be honest. It used to be perfect for remixing images. ✓ I Love this bit there is a glitchI love this app it's perfect but there's a lot of stuff you can only buy and it's very expensive. I downloaded this app when I was 9 and I loved it I used it every day it was awesome (except for the fact that you had to pay a lot for only a couple new stickers and fonts) then I stoped using it for a couple months because of school when I went back on to edit something for a zoom party, it deleted itself I went back to download it and as soon as I went to do a project I double taped to wright a sentence I finished it and as soon as I pressed the checkmark my sentence turned into question marks I tried again same thing happend, third time same thing happened. But each time I click on the text again it shows what I wrote and it was correct but each time I press the check mark it just turns into question marks. ✓ Used to be good but now you need to purchase pro for most thingsI've been using the app for a few years, when it was first studio, it was amazing to help me design things for my small business with amazing graphics, fonts and the ability to cut images out of photographs better than a lot of apps I've downloaded. However it has now more become all about buying the subscription, where now with the cost of living there is no way I can afford to pay out monthly for features that used to be free, even graphics I have saved and certain features suddenly changed and you now have to pay to access them, which is a real shame. It's unfortunate that people turn away from an app that used to be so good and gave people so much freedom because I have to pay £7.99 a month to access a text bubble graphic I've been able to access for free for years.Version: 8.0.37

✓ It’s simple app devs are allowed to obscure t&cI’m amazed and appalled at the increase use of the subscriptions model that app dev are turning to more and more.. I understand that revenue is required but it will eventually prove to be unsustainable business model and I think dev know this hence taking advantage of the ability to use the free to try method but actively hide the disclosure of certain information informing the customer clearly what will happen and how much you will be charged, in this case a large sum per month! Lol even more than Adobe! .. it is a concerted attempt at taking users money opaquely. Why do I say the above.. in a reply to a review in January the dev stated they would make there terms clearer but have not done so. So it’s continues to appear to be a deliberate choice by devs and a disgraceful attempt at on going gouging of any customer who does not understand.. and long term will prove to be unfair, as so many of dev behaviour on App Store here been over years (think in app purchases) and will eventually be outed In the media and stoped. ✓ Strange “outline” after last updateHard to describe, but when cropping an image, putting it on the front layer of a transparent canvas, and then filling in that canvas with a colour from the cropped image, a strange and unsightly outline appears. ✓ Love it but the BUGS are terribleThis is one of my most FAVORITE apps to use. I use it heavily and rely on it daily. When it’s working properly, it is an amazing deal..loads of designs, finished products looking amazing...but the bugs on this app will drive you nuts. The app quits on me constantly right when I’m in the middle of a project, sometimes not saving everything I had just done. Often when I’m scrolling through my projects to find one the app will just quit. Often when I am using the sizing tool to adjust a graphic or wording, the app will quit. It’s really upsetting to be paying over $10 a month for it, and I can’t really rely on it!! I tried to pull a design I did for my boss the other day and every time I went to click on the app quit!!! It’s really unprofessional. I love this program but I’m about to unsubscribe because these issues have been happening for some time. Fix your bugs over!!!.Version: 6.4.5

I have been paying for a premium app but haven’t had access to the features. I continue to get charged and are now over $400 out of pocket. ✓ Worth $10 a month? Not even close.I’ve been using Over since it was first available on the App Store however many years ago. It’s features are amazing, and I often found myself asking “how is this free?” I have no problem supporting this app monetarily because its functions are quite amazing. However, $10 A MONTH is out of the question. Especially since at one point, you had the option to purchase whatever features and packages you wanted for a one-time fee. I don’t care about extra fonts or preset graphics. All I want is to have access to the shapes, a feature that at one point, was free. It just seems ridiculous to ask for $10 a month when I can get a monthly subscription to Adobe Photoshop for just $10 more, and have access to about a thousand times more content. Either offer the option to purchase things at a one-time fee, or add more features that make $10 a month worth it. Better yet, scrap the subscription idea altogether and just add more features and charge $15 a piece for them. I’d rather do that than spend $120 a year just to be able to use the shapes tool..Version: 5.4.1
✓ Bought fonts now gone! Now disappointed! :(After the recent update, my fonts which I have bought before the pro version of this app vanish and was now locked as a pro feature font! Over... are you really doing this? Despite your good improvements, which I enjoy and it makes editing easier... but please... you removing the things that we have spent our money for in the past. It is like you slowly abandoning us, your first customers, with your upgrades. I hope you can restore the lost fonts as well us give us more opportunities to avail pro locked features in a more convenient way. I for one, don't have a good source of income and paying for $10 just because I need to be a pro subscriber can be too expensive, as well as availing the $50 for one year, which I don't use the app daily - may as well be unwise or impractical. ✓ Update: Customer service.A rep responded to my earlier review criticizing the app’s changes. I appreciate that a real person responded. I have increased my review to a neutral 3 stars as a result. That being said, my suggestion is that the company directs the people they have giving these responses to forward the comments to the company directly rather than having customers go through the same process twice. I have another suggestion. I think the app should make it apparent what the app does on the front page of the app. Now it just says to log in or make an account, but there doesn’t seem to be any incentive to do that. No examples of designs, nothing noting what the app is offering. Unless you guys are junking it, you might want to have actual designers letting us know what it does. I’m just going to chalk what I was working on down as a loss. I don’t feel motivated to take additional steps. I don’t pay for subscription art/design software. ✓ A few tweaks and it would be great...Great designs, great features and filters... But very fiddly to use! Difficult to navigate menus and not very intuitive. Also crashes quite regularly which is very frustrating when you're halfway through editing a photo, and some features e.g. packs often don't load and I have to go in and out of the menu until they show up. ✓ Was one of the original users...hate the subscription.I’ve used this app for many years and paid for all of the bells and whistles (fonts, etc.) on the original version. I don’t use any of the photos that come with the current version as I prefer to use my own. The only reason I used this app was for the fonts. In the past you could just buy the fonts that you liked or if I remember correctly I dropped a chunk to opt in for all of them? (It’s been so long I forgot). The bottom line is that I don’t want to have to pay 9.99 a month for font packs and photos that I don’t use. I think you should keep the subscription for those that want it but have an option to purchase fonts without a subscription. I know this is the new business model but everybody is doing it now...and all of these subscriptions add up! I would consider paying a premium for the app and it’s font but will not subscribe. I will still use it because it is nicely designed but feel like the time (and money) I invested in the past is somewhat wasted now. I want to get back to loving you guys again!.Version: 5.7.0
✓ No Past Projects Load on iPad - YES using Latest App VersionI have visited your “help” page - and literally nothing is working. I pay monthly for this app and you offer NO support - there is no one to contact to trouble shoot. I have made thousands of project in my Over account. Not a SINGLE one of them will open for me on an iPad. This issue started before your last updated and after your latest update it has gotten significantly worse. Where things used to crash.. now they don’t even load. You literally can’t open them on an iPad. I can see them on my iPhone - but none of them will load on my iPad and the thumbnails on my iPhone are not up to date (The thumbnail doesn’t show the latest save). It is so incredibly frustrating. I have tried multiple different internet connections. I have made sure my app is up to date. My iOS is up to date also. I am paying for Over Pro. You need to offer actual support if you are taking subscription money from people 😬 HELP..Version: 6.7.3
