Full Fitness : Workout Trainer for Negative User Reviews

It isn’t fairI bought this app a long time ago. I always loved the app. I stopped using it because I wasn’t working out as much. At least not working out with the app. When I finally got back to using the app. It said it needed to be updated. When I tried to update the app it would not update. I ended up buying it again. I was hoping it would work with my iPad. But the only version they had was the iPhone version. Unless they have the pad version somewhere and I missed it. So to me it’s a great app. I still should not have had to buy it twice. And they should come out with the iPad version I think..Version: 3.1

New VersionI like the new interface a lot. Things are cleaner and the app no longer crashes. That being said, the new version came with a a few huge problems. I use the "History" tab quite a bit to look at past workouts/progress. With the update, it is EXTREMELY slow loading, to the point that the app is almost unusable. Also, I wish they'd bring back the ability to simply tap enter when tracking sets of same reps/weight. You now have to enter it every time. I've also experienced workouts showing up as doubled, or being swapped to an incorrect date. Finally, again in the "History" tab, when you used to click 7 days, 14 days, etc, it would show which days over the past 7, 14, etc you worked out. Now, it simply shows your past 7 or 14 workouts. If these problems are fixed, this app is the best on the App Store for fitness tracking..Version: 3.1

GarbageUpdate wiped out years of history without warning, and then they want to charge monthly for what I had already purchased. If you want to pay, there are better apps out there..Version: 3.5

Big changes made it worseBought the app many years ago and to be fair, for many years, it has been excellent value and delivered exactly what I needed. With the major update, once you get past the expensive subscription options, the workout history is still there. However, the video demonstrations of the exercises are now gone. This major update should’ve been flagged with a major version number, not delivered sneakily as a bug fix. I would have even tried the subscription option, if I could see the recommended workout for less than the minimum spend of $20, but I’m not willing to take a flyer at that price..Version: 3.8

Why has no one said any of this....I've just bought your app which is promising the 'best workout app out there' but it isn't. You can't change the level of capability, it only gives you one workout in the building muscle category as it does with all the other workout options! If I wanted to put together a list of possible workouts I can do in the gym myself then I wouldn't of spent £3.99 on an app promising it's the only fitness app I'll need and that it replaces the need for a personal trainer...I don't think I'd be telling the personal trainer what workout I want to be doing, which this app makes you do. Where's the advanced workouts? Intermediate workouts? It doesn't tell you what rep count you should do for each goal of exercise. This isn't even a training app, you put your own programme together, which for someone who has no idea about the proper way to train is surely useless. What a poor app..Version: 3.1

Very disappointing! Terrible update with additional cost after years of useAfter paying for this app a few years ago and using it religiously for my workouts, they have now started asking for $80 per year to use the app. The new update offers little to no improvement, DO NOT PAY $80 a year for this app, there are many similar apps for much less to track workouts. Disappointingly for me I’ve lost my workout plans and workout history, very disappointed with the developers of this app, looks like they will be losing a lot of customers based on other similar reviews..Version: 3.5.1

App glitch in new updateDon’t know what happened with the new update but can’t get past selection “Let’s get started with basics” screen where you choose between “male - optimized for men” or “female - optimized for women”. Please fix this ASAP or else this app is useless..Version: 3.7

I paid alreadyThis used to be a paid app, now they’re charging a subscription for features that I already paid for..Version: 3.8

Can't get past first baseI just downloaded the app on my iPhone. I then tried to re-create my three strength sessions. I was able create a couple of my own exercise types but when it comes to selecting exercises for inclusion in my own workout I couldn't. I tried double tapping, single tapping and dragging. All that happens is the picture of the exercise opens but when you close the picture you can't save it as it says nothing is selected. Pretty useless then for what I need..Version: 3.1

Requires Subscription. Nothing is free in this app.Not only does it require money to do anything, the app crashed as you navigate the subscription options. *face palm*.Version: 3.2

A Fantastic App Lost Behind a PaywallI used to use this app almost every single day. It had some amazing features, and allowed me to learn new exercises and track my progress. In fact, this app was crucial in my weight loss journey, as their programs really helped me stay on track and focus on the areas that were actually helpful. With a one time purchase of $5 and some change, it was easily the best purchase I had ever made. But when I went to open the app today, I found that all of the workouts I had crafted and years of progress and records had disappeared. Not only that, but the app was asking me to pay for a subscription if I wanted to access any of the features I had grown accustomed to. Like I said, I was happy to pay the price for what I thought was lifetime access. Like I said, this is a fantastic app that I found super helpful over the year. Perhaps their new subscription service works for you. But personally, I am personally feeling very ripped off, and I don’t think I will be subscribing to the new service model. So thanks for all you’ve done for me Full Fitness, but I’m afraid this is where we part ways..Version: 3.2

6+ years of use down the drainFull Fitness was a spectacular app regarding features, but it worked and worked well. Simple interface, easy ability to add exercises, 1rm assumption. Overall allowed ease of workout by workout, week by week tracking to ensure your still pushing and progressing. The fact I persisted with a non optimised app ever since the iPhone X is something. However this week, an update, forced paywall, deletion of history and data. Such a shame, and the hunt for an alternative begins..Version: 3.5

Dont waste your time. Read all the recent reviewsI have been using this app for a while and after the last update, it will not even open it just keeps crashingWhen I open the app, it asks me for my gender height and weight, and when I enter, it just crashes. Prior to the last update it had a lot of glitches. For example, you cannot go back to another date to check your workout log because it would freeze. I am using iPhone..Version: 3.5.2

Was a good App until recently!I purchased this app back in 2013 as it was available at a higher cost but no in app purchases, now it has been made as a subscription model and rendering my previous purchase useless and not letting me access what I had paid for. Write an email asking what happen to my access and as usual no reply! Poor service in my book! very disappointed..Version: 3.5.3

Doesn’t even support iPhone X layoutApp looks old, non native Doesn’t even support iPhone X layout!.Version: 3.1

Recent issues turning me away after yearsBeen using Full Fitness for years (going back to iFitness days), it’s a long-time companion for my workouts. But since the latest update, it’s taking a whole minute just to bring up exercise log or workout history. Makes it unusable at the gym. I got around it by creating a new, blank profile; but now there’s a new issue where it registers every tiny bump as a “shake” & every 5 secs I’m getting pop-up windows asking me to change profiles. Spend more time closing windows than logging workouts; also unusable. I cant login to my cloud account to manage records because the app crashes. There’s nowhere to Clear All Data. Have received no response after emailing. You guys are eliminating every safeguard to stop me jumping ship. At the very least, get rid of the “shake to change profiles” misfeature. No one needs to change profiles 100 times in a single workout. Probably time to move on..Version: 3.1

New version is not worth itUpdated the app, now charge $20/month - better options out there for free.Version: 3.8

Terrible.I’ve used this app for years. Purchased and used quite frequently before their update which happened while I was injured. Today I boot up the app to find out they are asking for more money after I previously bought the app and I refuse to spend another dime on an untrustworthy company. It’s been fun..Version: 3.8

Use to be goodUsed to be a good app to track my workouts until without warning they wiped all my previous workouts and my custom exercises I had saved. Wish I could give it zero stars..Version: 3.2

Good, but desperately needs updatingI’ve used this app for years and it’s served me well. For what is designed for, planning and tracking workouts, it works fine. However, it has not been updated in over 2 years and so, has teething problems which can be frustrating and turn people away. I can’t understand why the most popular paid fitness app is so poorly updated. All in all this could be the perfect workout app, but the experience is frustrating at times because of a lack of investment into it..Version: 3.1

Lost All Data and Now Yearly PaymentsBeen using the app for years now. Though, with the last new update, all my custom exercises and workout logs for years have been erased. On top of that, all the exercises that were accessible when I purchased it initially are now locked, requiring a yearly subscription of $80/year to re-access them. Was a big disappointment to realize that, especially when I bought it quite a while ago and there doesn’t seem to be any significant improvement in the app related the workout exercises. Send them an email to communicate what exactly is going on, but there has been radio silence. Pretty disappointed…..Version: 3.5.1

Great App OnceGreat overall app but when I try to sign in to save to icloud it says I have the wrong password....Now it won’t even let me create a new profile..Version: 3.1

Crashing, loss of dataHave been with this app for almost 7 years. It's changed its name on many occasions. Originally called iFitness, then transformed into another app and then finally this version. It's been a flawless tool which has guided so many of my workouts. Until this new addition with the red branding everything appeared perfect. Would happily have given it 5* or more. Until the the day my back ups became corrupt and I lost about 5 years worth of data. I tried to contact the developers (understanding now it's just the two of them) but had nothing returned. I was devastated to have lost all my data but - accidents occur. This new version is now compatible with 5.5" displays which is always welcoming, however I've had a few months tracking my workouts in accordance to reps, weight and sets but the history button now crashes my phone which suggests once more I can't access my previous records. It's a shame really because the best part of 5 years it's been my go to app! Please help me resolve this and if possible retrieve my previous data. I'd happily fund this. Sunny simak.Version: 3.1

Close but no cigar...yet :)Thank you team you have resolved the issues I flagged last update! There is however a new issue in iOS 10 whereby either entering into an exercise to record time or recording time takes 30 seconds! The app appears to freeze however looking at my battery life I can safely say it is crunching some hard numbers. Can you please address this next version as I lost 20% more than I usually do in a 50 minute session. V 3.1.Version: 3.1

So much promise, but unfortunately disappointingThis has everything you really need. A work out log book to record your workouts and instructions and ideas for different workouts. I've added lots of custom exercises too. However the app is very very slow in some commands. For example the app completely freezes for around 30 seconds after you've deleted a record in the log book, or after adding a new custom exercise. Various other aspects are also painfully slow and it crashes at least once on most days that I use it.Version: 3.1

Update bewareI have used this app for years and since the update to version 3.2 I have lost everything so if you can avoid updating the app do it as it worked previously fine before having not been updated for 6 years and looking at this version it’s not hugely different to version 1.0 11 years ago Day 2 and no response from the supposed support email. Save your time and money and buy a notepad as it’s more reliable than this app 11-Dec-23 A perfectly fine app that you paid for once is now pushing an over priced subscription. Buy a book clearly more liable than their servers and customer support.Version: 3.4

No iPhone X Screen Resolution SupportThere is still no support for the new iPhones screen resolution (X, XR, XS/max, 11/pro/max)! Seeing that this app hasn’t been updated in 2 years, I’m not sure if we’ll ever see that unfortunately..Version: 3.1

FraudI bought this app back in 2013 and have been using it since I purchased it changing out my routine as I progressed. Now I don’t have access to the exercises, they want to buy it again at a higher price. Apparently they don’t care, they can cancel out everything and make you pay more. Well they can keep this app. There are better apps out there. They is no customer loyalty, with this company..Version: 3.5.2

ScamPurchased by another company. An app that use to have a reasonable one time cost now wants $20 a month to access basic features the app has had since almost 2009. Simple workout tracking is now behind a paywall. Not to mention all my history is now deleted. Do not bother. Time for a reasonable competitor..Version: 3.5.2

Used to be great, awful since update! Also used this for 5 or 6 years and always found it great. However, since the update it has been awful. Too many glitches to mention. In particular, it crashes every time you try and look back over the last 7 or more days, and once you have a large amount of data for a certain exercise it hangs for ages before you add a set. I would change apps now if it wasn't for my old data and the hope they will fix it..Version: 3.1

Was Once GreatHaving used this app for five years, I have enjoyed being able to go back and track my progress throughout the years. As this is a small side project of two developers, the lack of updates have finally made me move on to a different app. The application does not support the iPhone X full screen but more importantly many features now freeze the app entirely. For example the calendar view will freeze the app as will checking other log in/previous session workouts. The spell check no longer works like in the previous version and interment issues such as lag, freezing, crashes have made me move on to other apps. I hope this app is updated in the future. I do miss being able to go back and track my progress through the years but this current product is outdated and unreliable. If it is fixed, I will come back to it..Version: 3.1

I had access beforeI bought this app when it had no subscription. I had access to all exercises. I could create my own customized exercises and other things. But now after the update this year everything changed… with restrictions and forcing me to pay for the features I had access before. I paid for an App to have full access to what it was promised without any subscription, it is not right to put limit and ask for money now. That was not the agreement. Also, why having these little updates when nothing is getting fixed? The app freezes, it is very buggy and nothing is for the better. It is literally the Same app as before, it’s not like you are getting anything better or extra. It doesn’t connect to Apple Health, Apple Watch… it is very Outdated. The only difference is that you have to pay $50 yearly? I am losing my patience and I considering deleting it for good. It has become a Trash app. I recommend these apps instead… Strong, Workout, Gym Log+, and Fitnotes.Version: 3.8

Could be 5 stars but not updated enoughCause I love your app and have used it for years but you need to update it more often it is currently full of glitches. Every time I press one letter I have to wait 10 seconds for some sort of lag. It makes the search feature unusable and in fact makes the whole app unusable. If you want to survive in the App Store you need to update it. I’d love to stay on it but it needs an update ASAP please advise what’s happening or I’ll be switching.Version: 3.1

Can’t access app after new updateI am not able to access the app after the new update. This issue needs to be fixed so I can continue to enjoy the app that I paid for..Version: 3.5.2

Syncing IssuesBeen using the app for a few years now; however, it needs to be up to date to iCloud back up. I can’t use the app on my iPad to modify the training that I’ve created on my iPhone. Please fix it!.Version: 3.1

Rip off and terrible serviceI’ve had this app since before covid and had to pay to get the app, they never updated it until now and didn’t even fix the bugs but added ads and having to pay a subscription to make multiple workouts and add certain exercises. Literally the only changes since before covid was taking away exercises, limits different workout plans and adding a subscription option. App was a 3/5 when it cost 4$ but now I’ve gotta uninstall and look for a new app if I have to pay for a subscription. Not cool.Version: 3.7

Subscription?I already paid for the app… now you are making me pay $69.99 to get all the exercises it offers? What a scam.Version: 3.8

Disrespecting & Deleting Loyal UsersI’ve use this app for at least a decade, probably longer. I consider myself an advanced lifter and Full Fitness has always been a highly functional, small footprint app that gave me everything I need without the extra fat other fitness apps always contain. When I saw the new update, I was surprised because, aside from a few quirks, the app was perfect for its function of storing user’s progress. After downloading the update though, I’m actually hurt but not surprised by the new direction. The app has deleted all of my progress I’ve trusted it with over the last decade plus. And on top of that, even if you wanted to start over and rebuild your workout routines, 95-98% of the exercises are paywalled. This is just scummy and disrespectful to this apps many long time loyal users. I’ll use this word again, trust, I trusted Full Fitness with an important part of almost a third of my life and they destroyed that with no warning. Disgusting..Version: 3.4

No good (avoid!)Paid for this app a few years back. Pretty clunky and inflexible but did the job for tracking workout well enough. However this app seems to have moved to a subscription model, meaning that I have to pay again for the features that I had when I paid for the app in the first place, and all of my workout history going back to 2020 has disappeared. Avoid.Version: 3.2

Disappointed by Lack of SupportI purchased this app on June 6th and have enjoyed using it. I wrote to support later that same day as I was trying to create some workouts, explained what I was trying to accomplish, and asked if it was possible — or would be in a future update. In the contact information section of the app with regard to support it says they read “every email.” So, I wrote to them again — after not hearing back — almost exactly two months later with a different issue. In that message I even included a screen recording to help further explain the issue I was having. I also re-sent my first message … both messages were sent on August 7th. To this day I have still not heard back from them, not a peep. I don't even know if my emails were received. Maybe they’re going out of business and have stopped supporting the app. I don’t know because there has been no response whatsoever. I was waiting to hear back before writing a review, but oh well … I guess I’ll have to start searching for another app, and hopefully they will have better support..Version: 3.1

Good, but not greatOne of the best available, but could be better. Good are the routines, scheduling and so on. Not so good is the naming of the exercises, for example “Bosu kneeling push-up” should be “Push-up, kneeling, Bosu”, so that all of the push-up exercises are listed one after the other. Same same for all the rest. This makes creating your own program SO much easier. Also not so good is that for body weight exercises the app doesn’t work out the actual weight for you. You should be able to enter your weight once, confirm or adjust at the start of each routine, and then for push-ups, press-ups and the like the weight should be entered automatically (if you are adding extra weight, there should be an option for that too). Finally, with timed exercises, like planks, the weight field should be a time field instead. Am I the only person annoyed by that? One last thing -is there an AppleWatch app on the way?.Version: 3.1

Lost all my workout historyI already paid for this app previously, then without warning, they update the app to a subscription plan. Lost all my workout history. I am deleting the app..Version: 3.8

Great app, needs an updateI've been using this app for at least 6 years since I got my first smartphone. However, it hasn't been updated in some time. I'd like to see an update to support the larger screen on the iPhone 6 and up as well as some new exercises. I love the timers and tracking features as they're very helpful in my workouts. New version 3.1 still has some issues to workout. Every time I go to view my history, add an exercise that isn’t in my pre made logs or do an in app backup, the app crashes. The newest version has also removed the swipe feature in those saved workouts. I used to be able to swipe right to the next exercise and keep my pace but now I have to go back three screens, select the next exercise on my list and go forward three screens to log. I have emailed the developers multiple times but to no avail. I can’t even do a backup to be able to try deleting and reinstalling. This is very frustrating..Version: 3.1

Disappointed with Recent ChangesI purchased the Full Fitness App back in December 2014, excited to have a comprehensive tool for tracking my workouts. However, recent updates have left me extremely disappointed. I paid for the full version years ago, and now the developer is pushing a subscription model, rendering my previous purchase useless. Not only have I lost access to all my workout data, lists, and recorded sessions, but the app has essentially held my historical fitness journey hostage unless I pay a monthly or annual fee. This sudden shift in the business model is frustrating and feels like a betrayal to loyal users who initially invested in the app. A disappointing experience overall.Version: 3.5.2

No updates in 2 years??Lack of support is disrespectful. This used to be my favourite app, but it became so outdated and unsupported that I made a decision to switch. Strong is a better, free alternative that has apple health integration, full size screen and other features. This developer should have some respect for people that invested in the app.Version: 3.1

Faulty, doesn't work, waste of moneyDoesn't track progress correctly. It seems to plot my average reps/weight wherever it wants to on the progress graphs regardless of what data I record. Doesn't seem to be able to list my workout history in date order which is frustrating. Had this app for a year now and the most annoying thing is that the updates only seem make these issues worse!.Version: 3.1

Nope - existing users Do Not Upgrade!!!To any potential new customer - based on what just happened to pre-existing users - be cautious of trusting this app with your hard earned exercise data / history going forward. Apparently it’s disposable! Got this app years ago and now they want us to pay to unlock features and content we already had access to in the original version!!! This change even locks us out of our pre-existing historical exercise data by the looks of it, or worst the update just plain deleted it without any warning or care for it!!! It’s either all gone or held hostage!. I for one am moving on and I suspect that they’ll lose a large number of existing customers over how this was handled!.Version: 3.5.2

I have to pay now?Been using this app for over 10 years now. I use it to record some basic exercises I do at home to keep track of what I have done. Not only has the new update erased all of my exercise history, I now have to pay $80 a year to do this? What a complete joke. Won’t be getting a cent from me..Version: 3.5

Gym stuff is good but dietary need workGym fitness and exercises are great, but the dietary aspect needs work, needs a bigger library of food to search, a way to scan a barcode would be the best, if filling it in manual can't do less the 1 gram as there are no '.' To do a point of a gram.Version: 3.1

NEEDS UPDATE TO IOS 11 TO FIX BACKUP & RESTORE FEATUREThis app needs to be updates to IOS 11. When I try to create or login the app crashes. I’ve tried both on my iphone and ipad and both crash every time so my devices are not in sync. Please fix this and I’ll change my rating back 5. It’s been broken for a while now. I like the app but without the backup feature my devices are never in sync! And if anything happens I may lose ALL my data. I’ve tried to contact support many times but they are not replying. I noticed the app has not been updated for 3 years! It’s not compatible fully with IOS11..Version: 3.1

Obviously Under New ManagementI purchased this app at full price years ago and have used it almost everyday. Now, I can’t even access my routines or training data without paying a monthly fee for an app I already bought. The app even still says in the description, “Unlike other fitness apps, everything is included - we do not believe in in-app purchases. Further, we are dedicated to providing regular free updates. The next update is under development. Write in and let us know what most interests you.” So much for that. With that I can no longer recommend this app, and can only hope some justice comes to the many people who already purchased this app..Version: 3.5.3

Unexpected monthly subscriptionThis app used to be great. I paid for this app many years ago and then all if a sudden they are asking for a monthly subscription! I bought just to see if it’s worth, and not one bit. Zero update to platform, it is not worth the money.Version: 3.8

Version 2.2 > 3.1 > 3.0 :: Come on, 3.2!!Edit, June 1, 2017: It's been some time since the last update. So none of the bugs below have been addressed in the last six months or so. Since have also noticed creating a profile also crashes the app, so people who don't have a profile already (i.e., new users) will lose all their workouts if they reset their phone or have to re-download the app. Still great potential, but the support—particularly for long-term know issues—isn't worthy of people's money. Previous Review: Basic functionality restored by 3.1. Still not as stable or useful as 2.2 was from 2013–16, but main things work now. And, some improvements (e.g., notes handling, sorting w/i muscle group by equipment type and collapsing history menu format) will make it better than Version 2.2 if they work out the bugs. Can't wait for 3.2..Version: 3.1

Too many bugsThe number of workouts here is high and detailed and allows you to track weight and reps. It’s also really easy to use. The only issue (before it deleted all my data) is using the calendar. Trying to go back to compare past workouts caused it to crash. Yesterday when I opened the app, I found that it deleted all my data and wanted me to pay for a new subscription after years of using it. When I first downloaded the app, there was a one-time fee and it was frustrating to see that it changed without any warning. I was willing to bite the bullet and pay the fee just so I could have all my workout data but even then the app crashed every time I tried to pay the fee..Version: 3.2

Pretty basicIt's ok. Large collection of workouts but little variation. Most workouts are the same exercises in a different order. Unsure if developer has abandoned this, as it hasn't been updated for iPhone 6 and above. The app is zoomed with black bars on my iPhone 7plus..Version: 2.2

DO NOT BUY OR USEPlease use anything other than this app. I bought this app for a one time payment some time ago, perhaps 5+ years ago. Had a tremendous amount of workout information in it and used it multiple times a week. All of a sudden overnight, all gone, my account is no longer active, and ZERO response from support. While I appreciate they have found a better way to monetize this app, the approach they took is a clear statement of what they think of their customers and it is without a doubt a very clear statement of their moral fiber. If you are still even in the remotest regions of your mind thinking about giving this app a try, please, take a moment to read the numerous other stories which mirror my experience with these people..Version: 3.5.2

Exercises now lockedBought the app years back made custom workouts. Latest updates now theyre locked unless you buy their plan. Will not be using the app anymore.Version: 3.5

Absolutely loving the AppI just got the app and setting up my personal workouts. I love the design in many ways. Very clean and simple interface. It really is one of the better ones that I have seen out there. The price and value of it are unbeatable. But if you want to setup super set or giant set or have 3 sets together with a drop then it will be really clunking and quite a bit of extra work! If the was designed to handle this better then I would have given it 5 stars but with this significant hole I can only give it 3 stars. It still is a great app and definitely a great addition. If they fix the setup for the 3 sets with a drop set, super sets, or giant sets then it’ll be top notch..Version: 3.1

Doesn’t open after latest IOS updatesWas good, but not up to date..Version: 3.1

App IssuesPlease do not Waste your MONEY on this app! It has issues with your workout not being able to be shared. Also adding your custom workout routine is a joke, you have to go through a whole group of exercise to add one. Furthermore, I have sent emails to their support team and till date not a single reply so poor customer service is what you get..Version: 3.1

ExcellentUsing this app for 4 years and very satisfied. However I lost all my data after the last update 😡. Now I have to start again all my custom programs and workout history is gone..Version: 3.8

UPDATEUpdate your app for crying out loud, its been 2 years since an update and why the hell is this app still #2 for health and fitness??.Version: 3.1

V3.1. Looks better works worseIt does look better now and is easier to add on exercises etc. but it works worse- adding on a repetition is clunky and takes an age, and when picking up for last week's work out it automatically inputs your last rep ( usually with the lightest weight ).Version: 3.1

Needs to be updatedThis was a great app, providing ready made workouts and allowing you to create your own. Exercises shown for all body areas with video to show how to do them. An easy to use log to record your sets and workouts, with comparisons to the last like-for- like exercise/workouts. Graphs and stats to show progress in terms of reps and weight. And all able to be backed up to icloud and synced with other devices. Sadly, this perfect app, has fallen behind the progress of IOS and its functions are reduced. Mine now only works on my iPhone and wont sync with anything else. It saves workouts but wont back up to the cloud. The logging still works and the stats work, but it is nowhere near as good as when first developed. It is a shame because this was my ideal fitness app..Version: 3.1

Won’t OpenI’ve had this app for years even before it changed names when it was known as iFitness. Downloaded the new version and it won’t let me get past the basics where I input whether I’m male or female. 🙄.Version: 3.7

Welcome back……NOTSo they haven’t done anything for at least 8 years (I have had this app for at least 12 years) I noticed that there was an update so I downloaded it worse thing I could have done. It wiped out all of my history and is now asking a ridiculous fee to join. I just want my history and routine back. You were a great app for so many years I will probably now to Apple heath or one of the other reasonable priced apps.Version: 3.7

New version not workingI am the user of this app few last few years. This new version is not going ahead after putting weight in the app. How can I get the support?.Version: 3.5.3

Do not be fooled by old positive reviewsYears ago this was a great simple app. It appears it has been sold or something and the new developer has changed it to a subscription model. If you paid in full previously, your outta luck. You need to pay again now via subscription. Virtually every recent review after these changes is negative. I paid in full and have used this app since 2016. It was a basic app for just recording your workout, that’s all I was after so it was fine for my needs. I don’t need to pay $80 a year for an app to tell me how to do an exercise or to create a standard cookie cutter a plan for me. In the latest update the developers decided to move to a subscription model and completely gutted the functionality without a paid subscription. I’ve lost all my data, workouts, custom exercises everything. I’ve tried to contact support a few times with no reply. If you are happy to pay $80 a year with zero customer support for programs you can find for free on the net, that’s on you. I’ve moved to “Strong” and it’s great. There are much better apps that do the same thing just as well for a lot less. Personally I’d look elsewhere for developers that provide support and honour a sales agreement..Version: 3.8

Crashes constantly and locks previous workout data behind paywallI’ve used this app for years, and even though it had been half a decade since it’s last update, it still worked well. Now it’s been updated to use a subscription model, but it doesn’t work. The prices don’t appear and selecting a subscription then tapping continue crashes the app. Worse yet, all my custom exercises are gone, and my history of weight, reps and sets for the pre-built exercises is all hidden behind the subscription paywall…which doesn’t work! I don’t mind paying for an app that works, but the way this erased some of my years of history and held the rest for ransom is ridiculous..Version: 3.2

Not supported anymoreThis app used to be great. But hasn’t seen an update in over two years... so much hard work gone to waste for this app now. There are much better apps out there now than this..Version: 3.1

Getting there...Good update, log windows are auto filling now. Still some issues: Loading an exercise now takes many seconds based on how much history the exercise has. This delay also happens when you log a set. The window to enter data does not also scroll sometimes, so you can't hit the submit button. You have to back out, and enter your data again. It would be if the submit button was above the notes field, then you wouldn't have to scroll and refocus to hide the keyboard so you can submit click. Loading any history data more than one day crashes the app. It would be much more useful if the area you click to log data was nearly the whole size of the exercise bar (when viewing the list of exercises). As it is now 90% of the area clicks to how to do the workout, which I rarely need but am always bringing up by accident because the pencil icon is tiny..Version: 3.1

Update is terriblePlease stop. I paid for this app years ago and have had full access to all the exercises. it WAS 4/5 stars now you’ve updated it with a paywall for all the exercises that came with my previous purchase…. and every time i try to ‘buy’ a subscription that you stated in your description wasn’t going to occur: “Unlike other fitness apps, everything is included - we do not believe in in-app purchases.“; the app shuts me out; Yes! You can easily cancel your subscription by heading to the settings app of your device and under the subscriptions section of your Apple ID settings find the subscription you want to cancel bruh that’s against your original description! the prices aren’t even listed on the tier menus! you’re using ‘A.I’ now…. just stop; i don’t like fact that you force me to enter my personal details for entry into the app; and with this update i can’t even use the app i paid for because most of the exercises are paywalled, and we have no idea what you’re prices are !.Version: 3.2

The ultimate conHow is this still in the top charts? Am I the only one here that is seeing what's going on . When this app came out originally couple years ago it was called ifitness it was later booted off for fraudulent reviews . We were emailed then to purchase the app as its been released as full fitness which majority did . Then the app was re released as ifitness and your previous purchased app never worked then so we had to repurchase ifitness again now the new update is saying its going back to full fitness . From the outset this app has been dodgy with its dealings and I'm surprised a big company in America has suddenly come along saying that . Sounds like another con.Version: 3.1

Do not updateUpdate began with a really long sign in questionnaire. This questionnaire was ridiculously buggy and ends with trying to sell you a yearly plan. I only know this because my girlfriend managed to get through process, mine kept locking up. All data seems to have been deleted. I have an email backup from a few years ago and I mostly use paper for more recent workouts but a *lot* of progress data and photos have gone, including a load of custom workouts. This is a disaster..Version: 3.4

Violation of App Store developer rules?Myself, along with the dozens of other reviewers , were shocked to find that after we hit the update icon, all of our data that we have had for 8 years was completely wiped out. There was no warning by the new developer that our data was going to be removed. There was no warning in the app or on the App Store that now there's an app purchase subscription requirement as well before our data was removed . This clearly was not a "bug" . I purchased this app eight years ago and have been a loyal user since that time. I Understand that there may be a new business model, but at least show the gratitude for your loyal supporters who have gave you excellent reviews many years ago. It was our reviews that made it a better proposition for your purchase of this app from the original developer . The fact that you disregarded your loyal branding shows the pure greed of Fuminaire holdings. I'm quite sure that deleting the user's data including custom workout and YEARS of logs would not be looked upon favorably by Apple under review. I hope Apple removes this developer completely from the App Store due to blatant disregard of the user's data rights. If the TERMS OF SERVICE changed when the new owner /"developer" took over , they had the lack of any moral compass by avoiding disclosing any change in the TOS to any of its customers ----including DELETING all customer data with warning or the ability to recover or backup..Version: 3.5.1

Abandoned by DeveloperThis was one of the best fitness apps of its era (many years ago), but has been completely abandoned… last updated in 2017. Dealbreakers: The app’s UX is designed to fit with an iPhone 8 or earlier screen (size and graphics quality), buggy / crashes frequently with iOS 15, limited fitness tracking categories compared to current fitness apps, no integrations… doesn’t connect to Apple health or any other fitness app, no Apple Watch support, To the developer: Mehrdad- you wrote in the app’s description, “We do not believe in in-app purchases. Further, we are dedicated to providing regular free updates. The next update is under development.” It’s unfortunate that this app’s continued development has been shelved. Your existing customers deserve an update, but more so you are hurting your rep and leaving $$$ on the table by neglecting existing customers and selling an antiquated buggy app to new customers. Not a good look, my friend. If updated, I’ll adjust my review accordingly. Best of luck!.Version: 3.1

DisappointedWhat happened to this app? I fully purchased this app a few years ago, I went to open it today and it’s totally revamped and is now charging me for a membership??? I owned this app as it was a one time payment and it was exactly what I wanted. It allowed me to plug in my own workouts and make my own workout split and now it’s turned into an AI automated, cookie cutter, app like all the other thousands out there! Very disappointing! Please bring back the old Full Fitness!!!!!.Version: 3.7

What a scamPaid for this app in full years ago and used it faithfully. What a downright disgustingly greedy thing to do by erasing everyone’s profiles and turning it into a paywall’d subscription based service. Truly pathetic..Version: 3.5

Subscription?I have been using this app for a few years now and I have been satisfied with all the features that was included in this app. I recently updated the app and I was disappointed to see that there is now a subscription just to access other workouts. I miss the old version :(.Version: 3.4

DisappointedI paid for this app back in 2013 and had a lot of my programs stored on it. Recent update - lost them all and now you want me to subscribe? You could have at least saved all our workouts before you effectively kicked us out. I had recommended you to a lot of my friends who also used this app..Version: 3.8

Now a subscription, uselessDo not update! PAYWALL I’ve purchased and used this app for YEARS, since 2013. It was very good for tracking and creating workouts. I’ve had several issues with it losing my account info, my data, my historical info, I still preferred it to other workout apps. It is now a subscription only app. I cannot get beyond the new CRAPPY onboarding screens. I can’t even get my historical workout data if I wanted to. It’s ALL behind a paywall. Upon reflection, the app has not been updated enough or stable enough to merit a monthly subscription based on my experience. I wouldn’t know if it’s worth it now because despite paying for the initial app, EVERYTHING is now behind a paywall with this update and I’m missing my data…AGAIN. Look elsewhere..Version: 3.7

Data LossI have been using this app for over five years to track my training progress and design my own workouts and i have been careful to backup all my data over those years. A few weeks ago i noticed that my custom workouts were all in a strange order and i wasn't able to reorder them with the edit feature. They just shuffled around randomly. I tried renaming them with 1,2,3 or a,b,c and that didn't help. I also noticed that i was unable to create new workouts because it wouldn't let me add new exercises (the exercises are displayed but it's not possible to select and add them). So i decided to restore the app from a previous backup. I noticed that only two backup files were showing. I thought this was strange because there should be hundreds of backup files. Anyway, i restored the app to the previous backup and in horror i realised that all the data has now disappeared! All my workout history, all my body measurements, all my custom workouts, everything!!! I tried emailing the support team a few times but no response from them. Poor app update, poor customer service... should have left the previous app alone!.Version: 3.1

Now Subscription BasedUsed this app all the time after buying it a few years back. Functionality that I used to have access to has now been removed and the app is requiring additional subscription fees. Only used to use it to see exercise descriptions and form. It’s a shame these features have been retracted for users. What a way to kill an originally half-decent app. It’s always about money..Version: 3.4

Still can’t get into the appDon’t know what you did with the update but i still can’t get passed the enter your weight / age page. It doesn’t work ..Version: 3.7

Dodgy dodgy dodgyAfter purchasing this app several years ago, the most recent update has seen all my data being lost and I am now required to pay a subscription to use an app I purchased many years ago. This is tantamount to theft. I would strongly advise that you don’t purchase anything from fulminare holdings as they may simply lock you out of something you’ve payed for on a whim and with some thinly veiled guise for their extortive practices. When contacted they floated some absolute bs and blew off my suggestion that my end user agreement was breached by them. Apple should ban their app and then from trading..Version: 3.5.1

JMfromILThis was a good app that was very basic and met my needs. It kept a log of my workouts and I could customize my workouts as I changed my routine to meet my personal fitness goals. I bought it for $3 in 2014 and thought I could use this app with its basic functions forever. However, like many money hungry software developers these days, they took away the basic functionality of the app and now wants an outrageous monthly/yearly subscription to pay them for something that was already developed long ago. Next thing they will do is increase the price. I gave it a one star since the developer is taking advantage of its customers. I’m sure there are other apps with more functionality and cost less..Version: 3.8

Great, but buggyI like this app a lot, but I have a few major gripes with it. Firstly, during a workout, it constantly gets confused which exercise I'm doing. Looking at the history, it always shows the history for the next exercise in the workout. Swiping back & forth & it will show the correct history. Same with viewing exercise statistics. Also, statistics starts off sorting exercise dates by the day of the month ONLY, so the trend line is way way out of wack. Changing the visible data points will sometimes get it to sort by month then day, but not always. The navigation is also pretty cumbersome. If you have to do an alternate exercise for whatever reason, theres no quick & easy way to do it - you have to navigate away from your workout & find the thing you want, then go back & resume your exercise. It has also been over a year since the developer has published an update. Might want to explore other options before spending money on an abandoned project..Version: 3.1

Bad businessSucks to see so many people getting screwed with this app. I used this app for 14 years. Now everything is gone. Don’t waste your money..Version: 3.7

Was good now a rip offHad this app for years. Just started in app purchases and took away some of the basic program the I had. This is acceptable. Very disappointed. Wasn’t even told about the change coming.Version: 3.8

Greed…Just like what you can read in the recent previous reviews, I also lost all the programs and exercises that I hadded in recent years… A lot of work and information! I wrote them and was told that they were working hard to recover the lost information, which I don’t believe. Also, now, they limited the amount of custom exercises you can add! No compensation for my loss and even worse, they want more money… I don’t recommend encouraging this type of practice. Greed… That’s it for me and they won’t get another penny from me!.Version: 3.7

Backup restore crash hours of workout plans goneWhen ever I try to backup my app the app would crash... I haven’t been to the gym in 4 months I’ve just opened the app and all my custom workouts are gone and lost :( trying to restore my profile and it just crashes very disappointed had this app for years and I’ve always put so much work into my custom workouts if you can help it would be greatly appreciated.Version: 3.1

!!!Unacceptable!!!I bought this app years ago when you could buy apps and not have to pay for a subscription. I’ve used this for years and all a sudden the app is updated forcing me to set up a subscription. Those who bought this app way back when - should be grandfathered in. I never need the motivational tips, the check-ins so no need for a subscription. Also, when the app was updated, I lost years of workout logs. You shouldn’t force those who believed in the original app, supported by fully purchasing the app then turn around and force a subscription. Who do I need to talk to in order to properly voice my frustration?.Version: 3.4

New update ruined itLost all my saved workouts, can’t sign in, and have to paid for a subscription to continue using an app I paid for. Discusting.Version: 3.2

DONT USE WASTE OF MONEYI have been using this app for years and enjoyed it for its basic tracking of my workouts. Spent hours creating my own workouts and adding exercises that were not is their basic library. The out of no where changed the app to a monthly subscription of $30 a month after I have paid for the app originally. Lost all my workouts and exercises. Tried to contact them twice with no response. The app is a total waste of money way better apps to use that cost way less! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!!!.Version: 3.5.2

I really really want to still love this appHave used this for years. Loved everything about it. But now it works so so so slow, it's kind of a pain. I read about how the development team is only a couple of people--who have had some health issues and who now made a "long awaited update." (Not sure why people thought it needed changing.) I saw in the reviews that people were unhappy, but then it sounded like they fixed some stuff?? Not sure what, because I still have lots of problems with it. As someone else mentioned, the history doesn't work at all for me. (can't even look at the cool graph anymore.). And whenever I go to change exercises there is a very long wait. And even when I go to record reps it takes like 20-30 seconds after I hit the submit button. What am I doing wrong? And if it's not me, then please just either fix it or offer the old version again. Please!! I really really don't want to change apps..Version: 3.1

Wants your moneyThis app use to be fantastic. However, now they want monthly or annual subscriptions in order to use the app. They have now locked certain workouts which in order to unlock you need to pay. I have had this app for the best part of 10 years and not once have I paid to use it. It recorded all my results and now it’s wiped everything. Safe to say I will be deleting the app and getting something better!!!!.Version: 3.5

Lost years of dataI have consistently used this app since 2011, and have many custom workouts and exercises, as well as a record of my training, weights etc. This ‘new and improved’ version has lost everything and is treating me as a new user. Really annoyed as this is my only record of current weight and programmme- is this retrievable as I can’t seem to login without it trying to create a new ‘empty’ account. Your contact developer link is also a dead link. I have now sent 2 emails for support and as yet have had no response..Version: 3.4

Doesn’t workPaid for this app. Now it doesn’t even work and the developer won’t respond to emails. Unacceptable for something you pay for..Version: 3.1

Can’t add excercisesJust came back to using the app. You cannot add exercises and create new workouts. When you create a new workout, you name the work out, and then proceed to the next screen yo add exercises. You cannot add exercises. Tap on an exercise and it just opens a picture of the exercise. Double tap the exercise, same result. Tap and hold. Hold and drag. Nothing works. I cannot find any way to add an exercise. Since you cannot add an exercise, you cannot complete creating the workout..Version: 3.1

What has happened?I started using this app years ago and have been very happy with it. The app was straight forward to use has been a good record of progress. That is until a recent update. Though a number minor versions/patches have been released in the last few weeks, the app has effectively locked me out. I can’t get through the initial “let’s get started” screens. Neither of the optimised for male/female buttons work. Am exceptionally frustrated that I’ve not been able to access my data nor record new workouts over the past few weeks. The report a bug link in the store is also a dead end. Not sure the problem. But would appreciate a fix/work around..Version: 3.7

ScamUpdated without warning lost everything and access to the app..Version: 3.8

Zero customer service!I purchased the app in 2018. It was basic but had everything I was looking for. I really liked how you didn’t have to pay for a subscription. I used it every day. Until one Monday when they updated it to version 3.5. I woke up at 4AM as I always do to workout. But ALL my workouts for the past year had been deleted and I was forced to pay for a subscription or not use the app. I have found this to be very frustrating and I have emailed the company 3-4 times asking to talk to someone about this but I have had absolutely zero response from them. Which is why the one star review. Another annoying issue is that in the description of the app they state that you will never have to pay for an update. This is obviously not true. Like I said I purchased the app in 2018 and now I am having to pay $80 USD or about $100CAD to continue using the app. I’m very disappointed with this service and recent update..Version: 3.5.2

Great app. It dose need some bug fixesThis is the best fitness app I’ve come across for keeping track of workouts. There is a big bug that won’t allow you to arrange the “my workouts” in order. Every time you move them it just randomly orders the workouts. If it had a rest timers and bugs fixed I’d be giving it a 5⭐️.Version: 3.1

Used to be greatPaid for years ago, recommended to many people! Used this weekly for a long time. No warnings, all history is gone! Small portion of the app is still viewable, but it’s mostly all locked behind a paywall subscription..Version: 3.5.2

New update but not there yet!!I've been using this app for a few years now and loved it but the new update has me searching for a more user friendly app. Having to type in weights, reps etc every time is poor never mind not even being able to add a decimal point when entering distance on elliptical training etc. What's with the defaulting to lbs when you enter a weight in kgs?? 9months developing it? I expected better when you compare it against the previous version!! May tried to do too much updates at once. Will I keep using it? If there's a fix in the next week or so yes, if not.... Update Ok so the update to the update was fine but OMG this app is so slow now. By slow I mean it takes a good 5 secs to update your set after pressing submit!! Seriously it might get 4/4 from USA Today but they obviously aren't using it much. Slow, slow and frustratingly slow!!! It's time to go check out the competition !!.Version: 3.1

Why did you update it :(Was great for years but now all of a sudden I have to pay to watch the videos? Lame..Version: 3.8

Doesn’t work with new updateUsed to be good - could create and track your workouts easily enough. But with the update to iOS 14 it literally does not work. If you click on it to open the cover screen will flash up before closing again. Until there is an update to the app to fix this, there is no point getting this app as it just doesn’t work. It’s a shame because I really liked it before..Version: 3.1

Used to be goodUsed this app for 6+ years, even when it seemed to be barely maintained and running poorly on newer phones. Used it to track my progress through hundreds of workouts, and I enjoyed using it. I paid $4.99 for it back in the day too. With the most recent update, they’ve moved to a subscription model. All my custom workouts built over 6+ years are gone. Not only are they gone, half the exercises are locked behind a subscription paywall. Why can’t I keep using the app the way I have? I can understand a hiccup in an update that might wipe out my saved stuff. This is just pure greed. Leave it to some company to buy up an app that they didn’t make, only to put it behind a paywall. I’m sick of everything being a subscription I don’t want to pay another monthly fee so I end up paying for something a hundreds of times over what it’s actually worth..Version: 3.5.1

Had previously brought the old app & loved it!!Would have given a higher rating but was annoyed I had to buy the app again rather than a update provided.Version: 1.1

They "Over-Improved" ItHave used this app for years in its previous incarnations (MyFitness Pro, etc). For a while, they kept what was good and streamlined it. Still a good all-around instructional and organizational app, whether you like to make up your own routines or choose from a number of others they have laid out. However, the most recent version is a disappointment. It freezes up frequently. As others have noted, the History section is either very slow or doesn't work at all. You used to be able to turn your phone sideways and get a nice calendar overview of your workouts, but that has completely disappeared. When the history does work, it orders the workouts by the number of the day of the month and not by the date. Very annoying. I'll be looking around for something better. Too bad..Version: 3.1

UnhappyI purchased this app many years ago it no longer works! Very disappointed to pay for something that doesn’t get updated and supported! Shame on you apple for supporting this type of software development!!!.Version: 3.8

How dare you?I’ve been using this app since the middle of college, so just about 8 years. It’s been my favorite, and I loved that all it took was a one time payment to buy the app and the entire arsenal of exercises was at my fingertips. I don’t how many people you’ve betrayed with this recent update that locks out a majority of exercises until the purchase of a subscription, but I can’t believe for a second that I’m the only one. I just lost all the history of workouts that was stored in this app with this update, so I can’t even go back and see my progress. Honestly, you should have learned from the mistake that MyFitnessPal made when they started demanding payed subscriptions for something as simple as scanning barcodes. Stop gate keeping fitness, this app was perfect before. It was my favorite. I recommended it to everybody I knew who started lifting. I can’t do that anymore..Version: 3.2

Seriously disappointingBeen using this application for years as a no nonsense, check what I'm doing, type reference app. I see there is an update available so I wait for it to finish downloading; to my horror, there is a random typo filled questionnaire when I reopen the app, and after all of that nonsense I'm presented with a subscription options plan. The app itself has not been changed, there is no new workouts or information available within it. In fact, much of the information I had stored on the app seems to now be deleted, and what I had paid to access before already is now locked behind an arbitrary pay wall. To the developer, I loved your app before you chose to go down this route. If you wanted to make an app where you charge people a subscription, you should have made a new app, this was most definitely the wrong choice..Version: 3.6
