✓ Rules are differentThis is not the 42 scoring rules I am used to. The game I know, 27 is the minimum bid and points matter, not how many hands you win. The game is played to 208 points, not 7 hands and each hand is always played out as points matter. Furthermore, there are no "doubles" trump and the names here are different. This would have been better with a try-before-buy model, but as it is, you have to pay before realizing this game's rules are different.ARobiVersion: 4.2

✓ Texas 42I have been playing this game for months, and loved it. However, now all kinds of errors are present. From not scoring a trick correctly to just shutting off in the middle of a game. What's happening? Another huge flaw, although I have set my partner to conservative, he constantly out bids me, and usually gets set. In real life, a partner would never out bid his partner unless he had a sure hand. Also, is there a way to Change trumps when you accidentally hit the wrong trump button? This is a new PROBLEM, I’ve just started having!! My partner has the bid, with 6’s being the trump! Partner played a low Trump, the player after me caught the trick, then led blank 4, partner plays an off, player to my right can’t follow suit, I play 4-2, obviously higher than 4-blank, but the trick went to the opposing team!!! This has happened a couple times before, but I hadn’t taken time to right!! When things are going well, it is my favorite game!!.JaydePaigeMamawVersion: 5.3

✓ Be careful of different rules.Rule variance seems to be the main trouble with Texas 42. This app works great. I bought it to hone my skills before playing my family at Christmas. They are all hardcore 42 players and take it very serious. It's a lot of fun. But when I went to play 'Low', or 'Nello' as its called on this app, there was a big difference. When my family plays, doubles are a suit of their own, but not on this app. This difference kind of ruins this app for me, as going 'Low' is one of the funnest parts of 42 to me. I was looking forward to telling them all about it so we could play each other all year, but oh well. Other than that the rules are spot on. So be wary!.HeathGreshamVersion: 4.2

✓ Stupid AII have played several games, and the play from my partner is very inconsistent. He sometimes plays brilliantly and sometimes makes the most idiotic moves. On the last hand I played, the threw a double four in the second to last trick so he could keep a double blank. I also saw him throw a double three on the second trick in a hand and then proceed to throw some a six later leaving his 6-4 unprotected. All this while having more garbage in his hand he could have thrown. He also threw a double five on one of my trumps, which is fine, but he also had an unprotected 6-4 in his hand he could have thrown instead. That play led to me going set. It is really frustrating to lose because the AI partner doesn't know basic 42 strategy. It is entertaining, but I sort of wish I had spent my $2 on a coke..Josh*HVersion: 4.3

✓ Not for BeginnersThis app plays great, no complaint there. But for me, a beginner, it is fast. The game needs to have a “go back” one move feature and a “replay this game” option, to allow the beginners to see what impact a different bid or play could make. ✓ MThe new App freezes occasionally. Sometimes a player boosts the opponents score without having too. plays the 6-4 on a two trick with three plays left and no two's in his hand. Benefits me some and the other team some.. Takes some fun away. Now it freezes up twice a game and sometimes more often. Plays seem more logical. Re-booting the phone makes no difference. ✓ Partner play questionableI love the game but my partners play is sometime very lacking, especially when playing splash. I just played a game where he had bid 31 and I had 5 doubles so I bid 2 marks and went splash. The led out his trumps then led an off which I caught with a double. I then led a couple more doubles. On the next to the last trick he played his last Trump then led another off, one I had already played the double for. The other team caught it and set us. Why have splash as a part of the game if you aren't going to program the partner to play it the way a normal person would. Actually that applies to normal play as well. Like when I Trump the other team and my partner plays an off when he could have played the 6/4. Then loses the 6/4 to the other team on the next trick. ??????.Happily cookingVersion: 4.3

✓ Bad PlayersPartner bids and play is so bad. The opponents as well. Playing with three idiots. I don’t think creator has ever played the game. For instance; EW bids 31 in sixes and leads 6/1, I have no sixes, I gamble my partner has double six and play double five, They play 6/3 and partner plays 6/0, then later trumps a 1 point trick with the Double Six! Inexplicably Stupid. Partner bids 36 with lay down 84! Again, ridiculous. All 3 make odd random bids of 34, or 37 etc. No rhyme or reason. Technically it works but developers haven’t a clue about how to bid or play 42. Partner discards double six on second to last hand retaining useless double ace. Opponent takes my six blank with 6 deuce and we go set. Such poor stupid play. The final straw: I bid 84, with an off six. Partner discards double Six on penultimate hand, keeping the double blank,and we go set. The dumbest possible play. Why on earth keep a double blank? ✓ Is ok for single player, not multiplayerThis app needs many updates, I have iPhone 11 Pro, every time I get loaded into a game with 2 of my friends, during the first play where you are drawing dominoes to see who goes first, it has crashed every. Single. Time. It works okay for single player (not as good as the other 42 app, but I paid to downloaded this one because it seemed to be the only where you could play your with your friends... unfortunately I can’t play with my friends because it doesn’t work :/ I will give more stars when it works.Collin420Version: 5.0

✓ 42Not very happy with this app. Crashes or freezes all the time. If I play with my partner and two other players. It is not a 100% that we can Gino’s game. I can receive a text or phone call and it stops the sound. It also throws me out and sends me to single player. I can’t even invite 4 friends it freezes or doesn’t let the 4th join. Sometimes it lets the 3rd person join. Allows us to play a little while then it freezes. Also there is times my partner can’t get any dominoes during a game. ✓ Program changesI also have played for several years. The two players on both sides of me me seem to get hands that hit each other, where I can’t normally hit my partner. I get the worst hands and most of the time have a very hard time making 30. My partner will bid 30 and get set more than 50% of the time. The game could be more fun but now it is very frustrating. ✓ Questionable algorithmsI have played 42 for probably 60 years. Both my family and my husbands were huge 42 players. If you have played much this app will drive you crazy. It inappropriately plays trumps - my “partner” will play a smaller one after player to the left plays one. And then won’t play one when the situation calls for it.
