✓ Useless without subscriptionThe application insists on playing music in shuffle mode without subscribing. You have no say in the music that plays, the app simply chooses it for you. ✓ Worst customer service!I have been paying for subscriptions for years now, and I got an offer months ago to add family members to my plan, I have added only 1 account out of 5, a month later I received an email saying you’ve added all your 5 family members! I thought my account got hacked or something, contacted Anghami care on Twitter and they had no clue on whats going on, they finally said they will look into the issue and thats it, been receiving the same email every single month, so i decided to add another family member since its offering that in the email I get every month, tried adding but no luck! Contacted Anghami care again and again they had no clue why I’m getting those emails! And instead of correcting things they went and looked to the family member account i’ve added months ago and deleted that from my account without any consent! This is just stupid and ridicules support team! I hope that management reads this to know how their team are dealing with loyal customers! Canceled my subscription though..Version: 4.8.52

✓ Used to be good!!With every update they make they mess up something nice that used to be working just fine (that despite the too many restrictions on the free version, which is understandable, although debatable because by (me) listening to the adds they put (they) are making money!)... but I am talking about the favorite list that suddenly stopped playing in order nor in shuffle mode, so now, no matter of your playing mode choices, the app plays the first song from your favorites then continue with something else... My reply: Simply put, Anghami turned against their old friends!! the free version now plays random music only! It will not play liked music anymore! ✓ Horrible UpdatesI’ve been using Anghami for years. At first it was a great app; even thought I did not pay for premium back then (I still don’t; college is expensive..), the app was super easy and comfortable to use, and I only had to be connected to listen to my playlists for hours on end. Nowadays, it’s a totally different story. You either have to pay for a premium subscription, or you’re forced to listen to music that’s randomly “chosen for you”, even when you specifically press on your own playlists; you won’t be able to listen to the music you have saved unless you keep constantly clicking on the next song you want. Otherwise it’s all randomised music that doesn’t even match your taste, you can’t scrub, or play the previous song, and with each update it keeps getting more and more restrictive. I used to love this app; now it’s one of the worst apps I have to use. I get that you need to make money some way or another, but with this strategy I feel like most people would stop using the app all together. If you could just tone down a bit with all these restrictions, the app would go back to being a comfortable platform to use..Version: 4.6.27
✓ Updates are making the app worstI have been using this app for music for a long time and it was great. However recently idk what the developers are trying to do each update it more buggy. Sometimes the song stops randomly and it’s nothing to do with my internet it just pauses and at times it’s not able to play music and says it’s unavailable. Now what had really annoyed me is the fact that the app has decided to remove all my likes on the phone app I can access them on pc but not on phone and it’s very frustrating. ✓ Deleted, last ever review.I’ve been using anghami ever since the iphone 4 came out on the same account. It used to give you the feeling of freedom that you won’t get anywhere else as a free user, it stayed like that for years. Until suddenly they started forcing you with every “little “ update that they just describe as bug fixes without actually telling you what you’re updating to. So now, there is no rewind, there is no scrub, there is a limit to listening to a preferred artist and when you reach it they start playing shuffle music of random songs you never heard, and the last shot that got to me and made me delete the app after so many years of having it is they force you to play your liked songs on shuffle, so you have to pick every song you wanna listen to even if they are after each other on the list. Last thing is don’t think all of this i did was just for me not to pay, but this app and the people behind it will turn their back on you even if you’re an old user who always supported them. And yes, I subscribed to apple music right before deleting this app, just to download the music i had. Thanks for an amazing journey with you guys. And thanks for the horrible ending of that journey. And I always used to give it a 5-star rating in-app. But now you just forcing on everyone to update to the plus by not allowing users to rewind and limiting the amount of songs being played by the same artist not to mention disabling the scrub!!! You didn't even notify anyone for this update beforehand and you kept urging users to update to the new version in the previous one! This is not acceptable at all. We use to look up to Anghami for providing the best services and we use to upgrade to the plus plans often every now and then and we never mind because we like what Anghami provided. ✓ Bring back the essential features!Ever since I started Anghami, it was the best online streaming service I use. But day after day the service started deteriorating and the providers thought only financially and turned their backs to customer satisfaction! I honestly miss the ability to scroll backwards and replay songs without the need to search for it, play it again, since they’re asking for me to “upgrade” to the PLUS subscription! I also miss the replay, the unlimited skips, they even limit the amount of times I can actually listen to my favorite artists! The developers are trying to force me to pay for some of the basic things any service should have! ✓ Used to love it - now it’s uselessThis app used to provide so many features for FREE and allow its users plenty of freedom in playing songs and listening to the radio. You could download music, listen to as many songs as you want, scrub, skip, etc. There were ads but it didn’t get in the way of enjoying the app. And now all of that is gone because they want to force everyone to pay for the same features we used to enjoy for FREE. Apparently constant ads is not enough — you need everyone to be an Anghami Plus subscriber to even be able to play a song. I’m not opposed to paying for music streaming services, but Anghami is simply not developed enough to be worth a monthly fee. There are much better music apps out there with wider selection and more flexibility and better functioning. I love Arabic song and Anghami was a tool to listen to my favorite singers because it is difficult to enjoy khaleej, Lebanese, Egyptian, Saudi, and other songs in my country. Unfortunately, Anghami now requires a subscription to continue to listen Arabic song just because I am not at the MENA region. It’s so unfair to be excluded for this reason. I do agree to pay for some sources in an app, e.g., create a playlist and listen offline, but I consider unreasonable to deny access to those who enjoy the app and the culture that it represents. ✓ Ruined. No rewind, too much ads, can't repeat or skip parts of the songI used to love this app and recommended it to everyone, but now I just keep on hating it more and more. Usually I would buy a 25$ iTunes card and let the subscription go for a couple of months till my acc runs out of money and so I recharge after a day or two but this time after my subscription ended I saw that they removed the rewind button, removed the repeat button and u have to listen to the whole song and can't skip parts of it AND THEY BOMBARD YOU WITH LONG ADS. It's like they're trying to force you into subscribing. So do u know what? I'll never subscribe again and I'll never recommend this app again and I'll ask everyone I know to stop using this money hungry app. Such a worthless cash grab that ruined a perfectly good app..Version: 2.6.8
✓ Technical issue and landscap modeThe app has some technical issue for long time now Firstly, when I open my friend's music activity and move from one friend to another, usually the last track from my previous friend stuck on loop and keeps playing. The only way to stop this loop is by close the music activity area. Secondly, If I left the status "Music Activities", there's no way to go back and open it without close the entire application and open it again. So if I would like to listen to my friend's last played songs. A track can stuck on loop. if I exit the status/Music Activities, I can’t go back "It's just not open" the only way to open it again is by restart the entire application. It's very annoying and what makes it worse is these issues here for a long time now. Also, there's no way to open the application on the landscape mode. I can understand the reason why there is no landscape mode on iPhone "All users usually use their iPhone on portarit mode except for games and watching videos" but not on the iPad. I and many users prefer iPad on landscape mode but because of your lack of support, I can’t use Angami on iPad..Version: 5.2.35

✓ Why 2 starsSimply because you limit options for the users who are not Anghami plus members For eg they can not press the reverse button to go to a previous track or repeat the track and they don’t have the option of controlling which part of the song they want to play!!!??? ✓ Major Disappointment in the New UpdateI want to revert back to the older Anghami version, this app is crappy. I preview songs before actually playing them, and it shows on my feed that I’ve played them... this is very very disappointing! I expect to have the same old lovely look Anghami had. I got a new device, and forgot to turn off the automatic updates so the app got updated before I even said so... Anghami used to be the app everyone looked up to, I myself let go of the music app in my iPhone just to have the music all in one place, regardless of some exclusive and unreleased material of my favorite artists that I keep in the Music app this way to save space. I advise you to please bring back the old sleek look this app had, or at least not let songs you just preview a second or 10 of only show unlike before, when you actually play a song and it shows on the recently played. All users must not update at all!! This is very disappointing. I gave it two stars when it deserves a measly one and even half a star now, two just for the music updates. But hence IT ONLY JUST DESERVES HALF A STAR. BRING BACK THE OLD ANGHAMI ASAP AND STOP SHOWING PREVIEWED SONGS ON THE FEED AND RECENTLY PLAYED WTH!!.Version: 2.7.0

✓ It’s good but not greatI mean I’m okay with the ads that pop every 3 seconds but I just find it ridiculous that I can’t play the previous song that I just listened to or just fast forward to the middle of any song without paying. I payed once for anghami plus and the app (took more money) from me than it was supposed to so I unsubscribed. Also to add there’s one flaw that really bugs me whenever an artist releases a new album and I would want to hear it I tap play and just when the first song ends it starts to play random music unrelated to the album which is so annoying. ✓ Disappointing appAnghami used to be one of my most favourite music outlets, but recently it has been one of the biggest let downs. Having a premium account is useless if the tracks you download keeps getting deleted from your download( not once but twice, that to all my 1300 songs).
