✓ Such a joy in these dark days👏🏻For the past two years I went to a local retirement community to hear the Berlin Phil concerts. Saturdays at 1pm were sacrosanct. My heart dropped when the community went into lockdown and I was not able to visit. Imagine my delight when I found out my TV had your channel!! The virtual concerts have been outstanding, no worries during the summer break, we have plenty of time to go through the archives until the next season starts in whichever element. ✓ Content and production superb but too many crashesAs you would expect from musicians at the top of their game, the musical content is as good as it gets. Also the production is superb and the films and interviews also excellent and full of interest. The big downside is that the app occasionally crashes part way through a performance and looses your place. This has been going on for a year despite reporting it to tech support, having an iPad Pro 3rd gen and always the latest versions of iPadOS and the app software, so unfortunately I have little hope this will be fixed soon. In addition to the wonderful performances I have been enjoying the camera work. For me, it’s wonderful to have a close-up of the section that is making an important musical statement. ✓ Great App, If Only Navigation Was A Tad Easier …I love having this subscription! I love the live concerts as well as the archives! I haven’t figured out how to down load concerts to listen off line yet (it’s only been a couple of years). I consider myself a “SuperUser” with computers and the like but for-the-most-part do not find this interface all that smooth or intuitive. I think it would be nice to have 24/7 chat support even it it were contracted out. The subscription has been “hounding me to re-up for almost a year and my subscription goes through to June ‘23. Asking me every time I sign on is no way to buy my loyalty. I HATE the nagging. I wanted to purchase a gift subscription for a friend, usually these are very plain to see, there is a special if you renew, you get something off on a gift subscription…but I could not find even a mention of gift subscriptions even with searches???? It just seems like you have to work way too hard to find information for the basics. Gift subscriptions should be right at the top during the holidays if any time for birthdays, etc. I can’t find it or instructions anywhere..Version: 3.35.1

✓ Very good sound qualiry but annoying camera editingThe sound quality, and obviously quality of orchestra and programs are excellent. I run it with an optical cable from the TV through my CD player and then amplifier. The only issue I have is the lack of option to be able to select a steady camera view. The camera changes are practically every two seconds, this undermines the aural experience, results in eye fatigue and becomes annoying (I now hang a black sheet over the TV 😊). The Wiener Staatsoper stream service has a one view option, I hope here they can add this too. Also, through Apple TV I have gotten the "Stream could not be found" error message, it seems to work more consistently on Roku..Version: 3.3.2

It is very interesting to see and hear how a great orchestra stays great by passing along its traditions to the next generation. Every orchestra needs to understand and communicate its unique culture and character. It helps that The Berlin Philharmonic is self-governed so that every player has a stake in its success. It’s not just a job, it’s a family. Here in Washington DC, we have the National Orchestral Institute, 100 young players (under 30), chosen out of a thousand, who come together for three weeks to prepare three concerts under superb conductors and first-chair coaches. ✓ Great, but...This is a fantastic app, and a wonderful service. The app adds a lot to the service - particularly streaming over AirPlay and offline downloads. My only gripe is that the offline download function doesn't work very well yet - it seems like it only downloads while you have the app open, and stops if the app is in the background. You can't seem to pause or resumes download. All in all, it means that you often end up having half downloaded a very large file and it is useless and you have to start again. The time zone adjustments, push updates on live performances, and playbill/programs (though a little less formal) help me feel I’m still visiting a live experience. I just see the last live performance and have to scroll down to find future performances. Maybe the app changed or isn’t live updating? But this is just recently. ✓ About timeHaving written complain that streaming is impossible everywhere in the world, finally someone listened as this app permits off line listening and watching meaning it must have a download at least as a temp file. I assume it self deletes after it plays once but have not tried that as of yet.
