It is intuitive and works as if it were Windows. iPad can be very limiting with its constraints relating to lack of memory card and apps that recognize only a very small range of files. This app either plays everything you download into it or points you to an app that will. It also provides an amazing number of ways in which to load files AND folders into the iPad. I was looking for something to keep PDFs and other files that I need quick access. I tried other file apps but this is my favorite one. I’m a technician and having cut sheets and wiring diagrams are helpful to my job. This app allows me to have information at hand without taking up too much room on my phone. It has iCloud integration so moving files from my phone to my cloud storage is a breeze. The only problem I have with it is the occasional pop up requesting a review. I have a PC background where you need to manage your programs and storage areas to remain in control. I have been persuaded by my wife to have my own iPad, but I have always been uncomfortable not being able to see what is going on behind the screen. For someone like me who is more used to Windows and Linux this app is fantastic. Started copying files over and within 30 minutes, I bought File Manager Pro. WHAT A STRUGGLE/NIGHTMARE! The Pro install left the Free version on my machine and imported NOTHING! So I uninstalled the Free version and started ALL OVER AGAIN with the Pro version... The NIGHTMARE CONTINUED! Then after about 1/2 hour I glanced at the Tutorial. Didn’t think much of it - pretty basic - a quick, cursory review and it gave me a couple ideas of things to try. 10 more minutes and the clouds parted, the sunshine came out and this is app is 5 stars for sure. ✓ A must have app - brilliantThis app is so good that I am amazed that Apple has not tried to buy it and integrate it within their IOS operating system. File Manger enables me to organise my work by subject instead of application. Without it, the IOS system forces me to have my subject matter scattered throughout a whole bunch of different apps - how dumb is that?! In future versions it would be nice to be able to have songs stored in File Manager - but I doubt that is possible. Overall, an excellent app..Version: 1.5
