✓ I wouldn’t depend on this app...My address is now in level 2 fire evacuations, that I’m thankfully aware of because of cellular emergency warnings my phone sent me and county websites with maps. The everbridge app, since I installed 3 days ago has shown zero notices, events or notifications despite conditions deteriorating. Does it not show existing notices when you enroll an address for the first time? I have tried it without gps enabled and with it enabled, still nothing. I don’t feel like I can depend on this app..Version: 20.0.3
✓ Pretty much uselessSays to enter your employer, university, zip code or where you live. I’m retired so no employer or university, live in Canada so no zip code, tried where I live and app doesn’t find any match for Toronto, so as I said in the subject line, pretty much useless..Version: 23.1.0
✓ Needs improvementThe idea is there. The notifications need to show body text somehow. Just the subject of the notification does nothing for me most of the time. ✓ 23.0.0 is brokenAt launch it tells me to find an organization or subscription, but I’m already subscribed. Then when I try to find my subscription I must click on Find twice, then I tap my subscription and it takes me back to Find. Sometimes it says it’s checking for messages and hangs. ✓ How Do I Delete an Account?I can see NOTHING useful with this app, but was directed by my state to download it for COVID updates. Somehow ended up with two accounts (shouldn’t there be done cross reference to tell me that when signing up?). My profile says I have a subscription, but the dashboard lists nothing, and when I try to add and sign in, I am told I have no account. I see a viscous circle and no way to remove my contact information from the app. FAQs are useless and support requires yet ANOTHER account. Waste of time and space. ✓ Not reliable, bad User Interface, does not seem to workIf I am going to rely on an app for emergency alerts, it must show signs that is can function reliably. This did not seem to demonstrate that to me so I won’t be using. But I will check back because they have a good idea. It offers Alert subscriptions to different agencies but does not provide a helpful description so you don’t know what you are actually subscribing to receive. Eg it had three Sheriff options “Sheriff dispatch” “Sheriff office” “Sheriff” … they’re all from the same city so what’s the difference? It offers a map of alerts - cool except when you click on an alert on the map you cannot get off that screen. Can’t close and navigate elsewhere to a different alert on the map. I had to close the app and reopen. It logs me out which may impact its ability to send my employer’s specific alerts to me (the employee). I got blank screens more than populated screens. After all this I don’t trust it to work for me during an emergency..Version: 23.2.0
✓ Not fully functioningWhy when I open the app does it not offer the feed or main menu? It just prompts to explore map, but even then, it just flashes and goes back to first page. I can’t get to Feed or menu without trying multiple times, uninstalling and reinstalling the app. Also, despite Nixle subscription set to text me alerts, most don’t come thru text, and many go to this app with app notifications, but I can’t actually open them! ✓ Completely uselessI don’t normally write reviews for apps but no app has aggravated me as much as Everbridge. I need it for my vaccination records in order to get into my cuny classes but I don’t see the red emblem at the bottom right corner. I have deleted the app multiple times, and cannot even delete my account as there is no way to “delete the contact for security alerts” on the app. I see that others have had the same issue and I don’t understand how this hasn’t been resolved yet since cuny opens tomorrow..Version: 21.3.0
✓ Does not workI’m in Canada, my City just started promoting this app for my alerts. I was able to log in once with my City Notifications account but did not see anything anywhere. I could not sign up for any alerts, there was just nothing anywhere. Second time I opened the app it won’t even let me sign in. Says the account already exists (on the sign in page). Useless. ✓ Status on alerts is confusingWhen an alert is opened there is a section “STATUS” that says “Open”. I believe it is referring to the alert but is often confused with the actual rod/incident status and we think the road that was closed is now open. Would suggest hiding this alert stats from end consumer or relocating or renaming it..Version: 21.1.0
✓ Waste of timeI was so excited to see my county used this for weather alerts. Thought it would be more functional than the county website. I was wrong. Signing up was easy…but from there just went downhill. The alerts I signed up for weren’t on the app and said I had no subscriptions. So I found my county again and tried to login….which I did only to be told “that account already exists” and refused to sign me into my account. I deleted 5 minutes after downloading. Not worth the time and effort in supplying all my personal information..Version: 21.4.1
✓ App needs a serious overhaulThis app needs a serious overhaul. A couple of agencies I’m subscribed to in Everbridge send me Nixle texts (and the detail is only accessible if I touch the link in the text), but nothing ever shows up in the Everbridge app. I was seeing content in Everbridge at one time, but after having to reinstall the app twice due to crash on launch issues, it stopped working. Also, the app doesn’t automatically refresh the content under the Enroll tab - I have to pull down to refresh. This even though I have Background App Refresh enabled..Version: 22.4.2
✓ Emergency notifications?This is possibly the worst designed app I’ve come across, which would be fine if it wasn’t literally designed for EMERGENCIES. I’m tech savvy and I can’t do it. How are elderly folks supposed to have any measure of safety? I’m in a loop of misery trying to add a new county after I moved. It forces me to log in again, even though I’m already logged in. First, there is no ‘forgot password’ option, so I had to create a new account. Now that I have and logged in, it still shows my old county but won’t let me add another one. When I tried logging in with my new credentials, it says the account name is already registered. Yes, it’s mine and I’m trying to use it to login! Absolute garbage..Version: 22.4.1

✓ Needs updatesThe app is slow, crashes, and is unreliable. I’m disappointed that this is the mass notification system my community bought into. This app feels like apps from 2010. ✓ Could not login and no supportI registered an account on the everbridge website but was unable to log i to the app with the same credentials and when I tried to make a new account through the app it prevented me from doing so because an account already existed. Help files only point to maybe not needing an account but when I select my local agency (NOCOAlert) it required me to either login or create an account. Big bug that just takes me in circles. No way to contact support. For such an important service it is surprising that the most basic step cannot be completed. I think I’ll still receive notifications as Im registered through the website but I’m not sure if that will be specific to my registered home address or to my current location. I wanted this service as I travel frequently and would like my alerts to be relevant to where I am. Bummer..Version: 20.0.3
✓ Worst messaging app on the marketI thought Hipaabridge was bad. But this app is the worst messaging app I have used. First, you cannot see who is sending you a message. Then when you go to check you have to wait while trying the app retrieves all the messages. It spends considerable time fetching prior messages. Next, you do not have the ability to send short voice messages as you did in Hipaabridge. Finally, the interface appears extremely primitive/dated. I cannot fathom how any major company would pay Everbridge for this service. There are far better products available in the marketplace..Version: 21.3.0
✓ Useless for monitoring for friends and family danger zonesI wanted to be able to monitor fires near friends, but it doesn’t show incidents on the map unless you enroll personally. I don’t want notifications for where I am. I want to see them for my friends who can’t get a strong enough cell signal to get internet information. Why can’t this app do that like other services? Deleting, since my community doesn’t use this notification service, and I can’t check info for friends as I had hoped..Version: 20.0.3
✓ Great Idea, Poor ExecutionThis was originally recommended as an emergency warning system. It has my location (exact address). It has a loud warning signal when a message is sent. All good so far. In the approximately 3 years that I’ve had it I’ve received several alerts that didn’t pertain to me. I received an immediate evacuation alert at 2am that was a mistake, fortunately my wife called to verify the accuracy of the alert. Now, along with emergency alerts I have started getting warnings. Last night I was woken at 10:20pm with a warning that rain was detected and could result in a debris flow. Then at 10:50pm I was awoken agin to receive the same warning in Spanish. I don’t speak Spanish. It wasn’t even rainy at the time that I received this “emergency” warning. This possible debris flow had been discussed on the local news for two days thus I didn’t need to be woken twice on a week night with this information. I don’t understand why they can’t send the warning in English and Spanish at the same time. I will be cancelling this service and don’t recommend it..Version: 9.3.0
✓ App does not refresh anymoreWhen I first started using this I was getting all my stuff fine. Now the App does not auto refresh even though background app refresh is turned on. I tried contacting the app support, but it just says to contact the local person that sends the alerts. Since this is an issue with the app itself, that does not work. ✓ Completely uselessApparently, there was an emergency in my town yesterday. I’m signed up for notifications and didn’t receive anything. Went to the website to make sure I was signed up properly (I was) and then saw I was to be like naked with this horrible app. I downloaded the app, added my zip, and subscribed to my subscription. I entered my phone number and received an error saying .... I’m not subscribed?!?! The app also takes you into these loops of blank pages and the only way to get out is by killing the app. So - I killed it by uninstalling. iPhone 11..Version: 21.1.0

✓ WorthlessUnfortunately to get any emergency notification where I live you have to have this app. There is no other public broadcasting for emergencies. I used to be able to go and read the notifications but now I get notification dings on my phone but I can’t actually read them. How am I supposed to k ow what the actual notifications are?!? ✓ Good appHave used this app since the start and have loved the information it would give me, unfortunately over the last couple of months it has either stopped working or when updated there is a glitch. ✓ Horrible appWhat a joke! When they issued a tornado watch tonight I acknowledged receipt of the message and left the app open. We just had over five minutes of continuous thunderstorms with the power knocked out for about twenty seconds and yet no Everbridge warnings until after they were done. ✓ I hope my county stops paying for thisI’ve lived in many places with various emergency alert systems. This is by and far the worst one I’ve ever encountered. It will only allow me to subscribe to one system, despite implying that you can sign up for several. So I’ve signed up for one county, but when I go to add the sister county next door, it says an account already exists. Then the support link takes you to a page that says support is down. UI is hot garbage overall, even if it would allow one to sign up to see multiple feeds. ✓ Doesn’t workI now have 3 profiles, yet can’t subscribe to alerts with a single one. When I search the subscription it show up and I select it. I am then prompted to sign in or create a profile. Because if this vicious circle, I am unable to subscribe to local emergency alerts. ✓ Literally doesn’t functionI installed this at the suggestion of my city after a tornado hit earlier this week and sirens were difficult to hear and I didn’t get the national emergency alerts on my phone. I’ve attempted to subscribe to locations and offices for alerts through this app and my pages are blank all the time. ✓ Please fix this appThe worst medical messaging system I’ve ever used. Notifications of messages are not shown on the app…if you are away from your phone and get a message. You’ll never know it’s there. Messages extremely delayed. You have to start a chat with a person before actually messaging them. But I’m the time of a pandemic. Nursing shortages. Doctor burn out…why not go ahead and add the worst possible medical messaging system fathomable. ✓ It is ok, but lacks landscape viewOverall, I think this is a decent platform, but I really dislike apps that don’t accommodate landscape view…especially for iPads. How hard can it be? I don’t know for sure about this app, but I also dislike apps that don’t pay attention to “dark mode”. Dark mode is great for low light situations where I don’t want to disturb others by lighting up the room…for example…reading in bed. ✓ Not functionalThis app does not work. It is wild that an emergency notification app can be released that is not functional. It’s wildfire season where I am, and not a peep out of this app. I can’t subscribe to new feeds, it just asks me to sign in (which I already am). I then put in my info and it tells me that the account already exists (this is not in the account creation section, it is in the sign in section, so of course I’m entering info that already exists). The help page goes to a non functional page as well. I was on the customer service line for an hour with these folks, and they assured me that everything was alright. ✓ Not as helpful as nixle textsI admit I’ve only used it for three days, but the nixle texts that I’ve gotten have been much more helpful. This app opens to the map and requires that I allow it to know my location all the time in order for that map to be any use. I would rather not give it that permission. So I signed up for the alerts like I had via text. It still opens to the map, even though I’m not sharing my location. I am not getting the same alerts as I was on text, have had to use both text and app (how can I get a text for Anchorage Water, but not be able to find it anywhere in the app?). My employer uses everbridge; couldn’t find them on the app at all either. I gave up. Hoping texts will work again now that I deleted it..Version: 20.2.3
✓ IPhone 13 Broke ItI have used this app for years to receive search call-outs from the Va Dept of Emergency Management and it worked fine. I upgraded to an iPhone 13 Pro and the app stopped working. I no longer get an alert tone. We also get a text message as backup. When I see the text message, I open Everbridge and swipe down to load the alert there. Defeats the purpose of the app. Getting support from the company is useless; you have to be a front-end user to get an account to even contact support..Version: 22.2.0
✓ Doesn’t sync with websiteI have an account that I can access and see all my subscriptions on the website. None of this transferred over to the mobile app and when I try to add my subscriptions to the mobile app it says they don’t exist! ✓ Everbridge/NixleIn Solano County CA the OES lacks an understanding of what citizens need and want to know. During the Camp fire 2018 ther was no notice whatsoever about the fire, smoke, air quality and evacuations. They would not answer the phone and ultimately said go to Facebook to get information from the sheriffs office. Since then, no notices are issues for countless fires each summer leaving residents to guess where the fire is or go to the CalFire website. The course of Fairfield issues regular alerts about crime, road closures and flooding. Seems like gross negligence on the part of county officials. You are on your own..Version: 23.1.0
✓ Doesn’t work , so why the public services connection?This app is so consistently, astonishingly bad, it’s baffling. I get the text messages from Nixle just fine, but because they don’t provide a map of where the wildfires are, I thought I’d install and subscribe to the app. Except when I do that, not only does the app not work, but the texts stop and I have to manually request they continue. There’s a wildfire just a couple of miles north, and because I have attempted to install the app again, my husband knows to alert me if he gets a warning because I just don’t trust this system. So why do our public services like the health department (vaccine info) fire department and police department have contracts only with this company? Cronyism? Bad public management? ✓ User-hating softwareWas sent here by my county health department to register for alerts on CV19 vaccine distribution. I wasn’t told that I must download an app. The registration process is dismal, and NEVER was confirmed as being completed. I did every single thing that was asked of me, only to find that when I agreed to accept their terms of use (after acct/login info was entered), there was no further action of ANY kind available. The end results are just another ten minutes of my life wasted, another useless app loaded on my phone, my email info in the wind with a failed app developer, and now I’m another day further from inoculation (my wife is in a high risk category, and already inoculated). At one point, I was able to determine from a map, that there is something health related which is happening approximately 1300 miles away, but I don’t know what it might be. The county is probably going to regret sending me here when their offices open tomorrow morning. This was supposed to be a simple registration for vaccine availability alerts. Before the maker replies to this review with “you did it wrong”, I want to know where their help was when I was struggling to set this up! ✓ Garbage appI am subscribed through the web to my city's alert system that uses Everbridge. I get emails, text messages, and phone calls about weather emergencies. Unfortunately I can only login through the web and not through this app. The app is completely useless because there is absolutely no way to use my everbridge web login to log into the app. at least I do get my phone alerts and text alerts etc. But I can't look at this app and get any kind of information at all because I can't log into it and I can't even find a login blank or I would login. ✓ UpdateThis app is extremely frustrating to navigate. I’ve already had to delete it and start over and it’s still squirrelly. Deleting messages needs a one-swipe motion. All of a sudden I’m getting phone calls from Civil Defense instead of texts! There is no easy path to change that preference. Very repetitive modes of delivery: email, text and phone call. I don’t need that. This app needs a quick fix. Right now it’s a one star wonder. I want my Nixle back but Everbridge has taken over Nixle. I’ve sent an email to the support folks. Hope they can help. Update **** I finally called my local Civil Defense and they told me how to fix the issues. I also received an email response from the app support folks. ✓ Going to pass on this appOur local police officer stopped by during the Neighborhood Night Out event we had last night and handed out flyers to encourage us to sign up for these alerts, which I’d love to get. However in reading through all of the negative reviews about the functionality and UX in this app, I’m going to pass on it. I’m guessing I’m not the only potential subscriber who is opting out based on the reviews. Maybe it’s time for a complete overhaul and rebranding of the app?.Version: 23.2.0

✓ Nice idea, but doesn’t workI stopped getting ALL Nixles I had set for zones around friends and family. It is vital I have their alerts so I can support them. But I cannot get Everbridge to give me a fraction of those alerts. Furthermore, for the alerts in my region, I receive MAYBE 1/4 of the alerts my friends and family receive via Nixle for the same areas. I’ve missed MANY important alerts. And finally, Everbridge REFUSES to give me phone alerts (icon, banner, locked screen, audible alert), NOTHING. I have done everything support recommends and NOTHING works. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app countless times. I am an essential worker in a high risk area. I REQUIRE a reliable system and Everbridge is NOT that platform..Version: 21.4.1
✓ Recently they broke the app and made it not worth itI've used this app for over a year, I am driving 50-60 hours a week for my job. Used to be all the notifications and pertinent information showed up on the lockscreen. Then iOS updated to 16 and I wasn't getting nearly as many events, thought it would get better with updates. But then they went and made it worse. Now the notification on the lockscreen doesn't show you any information other than traffic alert or road construction but you now have to open the app, hope you have enough cell service to see the event, just to decide if it's even going to effect my route. So disappointed it was a lot better, now I'm seriously considering deleting it. Tried to contact service on the app but that requires a business email and I'm not providing that, so I guess I'll leave a review..Version: 22.4.2
✓ Reluctant to download appAfter reading the reviews from today back to the beginning of April 2021 I’m not so sure I want to undertake the hassle of the app. Currently I am getting the alerts on an iPad via email. Installing the app with push notifications is going to add to the battery drain issues that have become problematic with the installation of IOS 14.6. Go ahead and update etc but please keep the email notification option available for those of us that do not need absolutely every notification that is sent out. I’m able to sort through the emails and figure out if the event happening 15 miles away is going to be a problem in my driveway, or wherever else I might be. ✓ Crashes every time I view LocalApp crashes every time I try to view Local. It displays the map for less than a second then crashes. Also glimpsed a strange pop up message saying something to the effect of “Do not swipe up to close...” after I had already done so several times. ✓ Start over.My school uses this is an indicator for students and faculty to determine if it is safe for them to come to the campus. I can’t even login with my school credentials, therefore can’t access my school’s public facilities like to use the library or laboratory. I tried deleting and redownloading about 5 times, still nothing. The app is buggy and it crashes way too easily, and the fact that I won’t be able to even enter my school because I can’t get it to work just says how incompetent this entire check-in system is on both ends. The devs need to just take the app apart and start again from scratch. Why release a product and keep it as so with all these bad reviews without even an attempt for major improvements in the future..Version: 20.3.0
✓ Completely useless, could get you killed.It’s wildfire season up here. We get evacuated all the time. Alerts get to us in every way BUT this app. Email directly from the OES? Sure. Texts from Nixle? You got it. Watching the police and fire departments on Twitter? All day and all night. This junk? Silent as a mouse. Yes, I created an account, allowed notifications, subscribed to every available service for my location, connected my Nixle account (same company,) the whole shebamg. Given that this is meant to be a literal lifeline for people in their most dire hour of need, that silence is downright dangerous. Seconds count. Push notifications exist and people’s mental models are tuned to expect them. Providing them an app that claims they’ll get push notifications about events that might literally decide if they live or die, then just... never sending any data? Irresponsible. Deleting this, and will keep relying on more traditional means..Version: 20.0.3
✓ What a joke! Would be funny if lives weren’t at stakeYou have to leave the app open to get notifications? Have the developers not heard of push notifications? There is a setting in the app to enable push notifications, which I have enabled, I have background app refresh on, and I have my alert subscriptions set up correctly because I get the messages in the app when I open it, but I’ve never gotten a single push notification from this EMERGENCY COMMUNICATION app because I don’t leave apps open on my phone (because I’m not a sociopath). When you go to close the app it has a huge message saying not to swipe it closed. 😂😭 Amateur hour..Version: 21.3.0
