FFT Plot for Positive User Reviews

Here is a slight improvement ideaThis app works up to 20kc, the top of human hearing If the bandwidth is available, then enlarging the app to 40kc would allow you to study Ultrasound Also.Version: 1.2.1

Top appThis is a very useful and accurate tool. Well worth a few quid, and saves me the bother of setting up a mic, interface and laptop for making quick measurements. I'd like to see future versions include dBa and/or dBc scales as I would find those a more useful real world reference than dBfs..Version: 1.0

Great jobThis app does exactly what it claims to and looks great. I’ll be using it in the classroom soon to demonstrate concepts like “narrow sound frequency band”. Thanks!.Version: 1.2.5

Great appThe averaging function works really well. It would be nice if I could figure out how to use an accelerometer with it.Version: 1.2.1

Violin makingI use this program for mode tuning on violins. It an amazing app!!!.Version: 1.1

Absolutely fabulousWorks perfectly. My only wish would be to also look at the waveform in the time domain. I use this app for testing new speakers. You will not be disappointed..Version: 1.2.5

Live sound...works for meRta lite both stopped working and added adds to the last update so I went looking for a new simple app to ring monitors with...this one is doing all it needs to do. Not fancy but totally functional. Here's o hoping hey keep up with it;).Version: 1.0

Great appGreat for use in a live music venue for ringing out PA, monitors and fixing feedback issues..Version: 1.2.1

LutherieGreat for tuning violin plates and other acoustic modes..Version: 1.2.1

Fast and effectiveSimple, clean and very fast, at least on the iPad Air 2. A niche product, but amateurs like me can have fun with it too..Version: 1.1

Fantastic FFTUsing it for a school project. Tried a few free options and there is nothing close to this app on the market. Works very well!.Version: 1.2.1

The best.I’ve used this app extensively in setting Hi-Fi systems up. Definitely the best spectrum analyser that I’ve used. Quick simple, effective. Detect room nodes in an instant with the speed of tracking achieved. The infinite setting is a handy tool too, for a whole tracks to gauge overall levels. Overall my go to app for rapid, easy analysis. It would be nice to have the option to change colours for background and waveform..Version: 1.2.1

Fantastically usefulGreat piece of software that really helps analyse variou audio probs in industry Thanks.Version: 1.2.1

Bull cheeetttWorst app on sound that I ever used...Don't worth the money I have spent on it... It look like a you and NOT a tool that I thought I could use for quick analysis of NVH application. You people are f...up, you don't allow any right comments that is against your apps....Version: 1.1

Great AppThis app is great for finding noise sources. I have been using it now for a good while and have been very pleased with it. It is easy enough to use and it wasn't expensive. I hope you enjoy it too!.Version: 1.2.1

OwnerUseful and a needed tool in my audio work. Highly recommend this AP..Version: 1.1

A really neat spectrum analyserQuick, accurate, very useful for acoustic demonstrations..Version: 1.0

UnderratedI use this app when I'm performing the final tuning in car audio systems and I'm impressed with the response and resolution it has. It could be better if it supported external microphones such as ZOOM's XY and omni capsules but performs pretty reliably through the iPhone's internal microphone. And fairly accurate up against my ARC software in my recording studio studio. Well worth the money if you need a good FFT.Version: 1.2.1

Great appSuper simple. An invaluable tool..Version: 1.2.1

Some points missing on sawtooth waveform spectrum, also 16K FFT problem.Mostly it's pretty good but if I play a 100Hz sawtooth waveform into a pair of headphones, measuring it using my iPad Air using 16K and Hamming it shows a spike in the spectrum every 100Hz as it should but the 2K, 2K2, 2K3 are missing. The 2K1 spike is there. Further up there are others missing but they are too close together to tell what frequency they are. Also, there is no difference in resolution between 8K and 16K FFT. Between 30 and 40Hz there is about four measurement points in both cases but the figure should double..Version: 1.2.1

Sound engineerVery good piece of kit accurate and with clear graphics. Recommended.Version: 1.0

Love ItI love this app; though I'm experiencing the same issue since the latest iPad iOS update. Lots of flashing and I've tried every fix I can think of and it's still not working. This app has been so useful to me in the past. Hope it gets fixed soon : (.Version: 1.2.1

Nice frequency analyzerIt's a nice, simple frequency analyzer that works well. Used it to help explain frequency and pitch to the kid. There's not a lot of bells and whistles and flashy graphics. May appeal more to a more technical (geeky) user. Would recommend..Version: 1.2.1

Best App Ever! This app is awesome!! So much power for fine tuning your sound!! We use it at our practice and at gigs to get any and all feedback, howling etc out of the mix. You can see exactly where the problem is. Easy to use too!.Version: 1.1

NiceGood app.Version: 1.2.1

Does everything I need it to doWorks great for real time analysis of studio monitor frequency response in a particular studio configuration, as well as tuning a PA system at a new location. Seems to be more accurate using an external mic with a flat response..Version: 1.2.1

Great for amp hum and tone controlsI saw this being used by RiftAmps on YouTube where he determined the amp hum was 100Hz power supply post rectifier hum simply by looking at this app! No more getting the ‘scope out for such a simple thing! Also very good when testing the effect of various tone control setups or components by showing the exact output with various frequency inputs. Very cool app, and iOS11 compatible 64bit too!.Version: 1.2.1

Fantastic appDoes what it says and does it well!.Version: 1.0

FFT plotVery useful tool..Version: 1.2.1

Great App, but...Very nice, love the window function and controllable # of samples. Used it to check the vibration frequencies of a glass plate. Wish I could email or otherwise share/save the plot, though!.Version: 1.0

FFT PlotA good app. that has great potential but needs some instructions and advice to get the most out of it..Version: 1.0

Works great!Although I would recommend their more expensive, fully featured app. Well worth the money..Version: 1.2.1

Simple and easyExactly what I want.Version: 1.2.1

Simple and UsefulNice, simple app. It does the job well. I downloaded this app to test the frequencies in songs, as I curious what are the notes sung..Version: 1.2.1

Review From an EE in Signal Processing: Excellent!I’m a BSEE (University of Washington, 1995) with experience and a bunch of patents in signal processing. This app is an outstanding tool for understanding the spectral content of an audio signal. It was clearly designed by someone with some expertise in the field, and it’s a joy to use..Version: 1.2.5

Great app!Would be perfect if it can record a samples.Version: 1.2.1

Great app, needs a way to export dataI greatly enjoy how feature full and yet simple this app is. It runs great and seems quite accurate. One thing I think is dearly missing is a way to export the signals measured to a file (like csv). Taking pictures is great for qualitative comparison but this tool would be way more valuable if it could be quantitative..Version: 1.2.5

Multiple usesI use it to track hums and vibrations throughout the home, set up my home entertainment system, adjust my bass guitar settings while playing on stage. Accurate, entertaining and informative..Version: 1.2.1

Favorite fee appAs a studio engineer who has to run live sound a few times a year, this app saves me a lot of trouble. I can ring out mics in a heartbeat and solve problems more quickly on the fly. No more sweeping for the exact frequency to notch, or for where to center the de-esser! It’s especially handy on an iPad with its larger display..Version: 1.2.5

Very cool!Very cool app that tells you the spl at different frequencies..Version: 1.2.1

Best picture yetThank you. This is a sweet representation of my string sound and very useful. Great for vocal training as well. Bach rocks..Version: 1.0

Works wellSeem to do what it says it will. The ability to save screen shots would be handy though..Version: 1.2.1

Great toolVery handy FFT of your iPhone audio, quick reference for hi-fi building and room work. Works perfectly.Version: 1.2.1

Great respect for the app developersI use it to show my kids what music looks like in the frequency spectrum. Given how much time is required to learn and program an FFT analyzer, I am glad to support the developers efforts..Version: 1.2.1

My Fave FFT AppIt's fast/slow and window choices, and look and feel are very natural for working in the frequency domain. Watching music it just "looks" proper. The ability to decode the frequency peak to a musical note is a natural, but extremely useful feature... Three features I'd like to see? 1) Screen capture video... share the look of your favorites dynamically. 2) Capture-Process-Slomo: capture a length of audio, process the FFT, then play the video back slowly, with scrubbing, to allow transposition of complex arpeggios... 3) Transpose 2) into musical score or tablature..Version: 1.2.1

Awesome App!I use this at FOH a lot and really love it! Very useful and accurate!.Version: 1.2.1

Performant and accurate.Fantastic! Apps like this are the reason we don’t need to buy a stupidly overpriced bespoke piece of gear for every little niche... unless we want to! Keep up the great work!.Version: 1.2.3

SCIENCE FAIRMe and my friend used this app for a science fair project testing the sound waves blah blah blah. Basically it was great and very helpful so thank you and I totally suggest the app for future people interested in getting it..Version: 1.1

Fun and sciencyIf you're curious about tonals, noises, or how loud that concert really is..Version: 1.2.1

Old mackie userVery useful app, correct and most of all fast response. Perfect for tuning rooms and pubs. (Bit slow for a stadium gig but;) Most certainly a keeper. Well done.Version: 1.0

Very niceVery nice app. It hasn’t been updated in quite a long time but it works just fine in iOS 11. I’d like to see an update with more robust features (hi developers) maybe a spectrum analyzer too or more info on the frequency graph etc. But as it stands it works very well..Version: 1.2.1

Feedback no problemDisplays a clear and accurate the frequency present in an environment. Hats off to the developers A+ app..Version: 1.1

Simple and PowerfulI am using it in a project to analyze and make ocarinas. It is proving very powerful at providing information on harmonic content of each of the fingerings as well as reliable at locking onto the fundamental and displaying it. Very useful also is its settings for integration time since the ocarina is a mouth blown instrument and tone changes a lot with how you blow a particular note. True one can think of lots of features you might want to see added, but for the price you get a powerful tool worth every cent of the price..Version: 1.0

Very nice FFTThe nicest thing about this analyzer is that it has the ability to recognize the particular microphone you have plugged in to your iPhone. I use a Shure MV88 stereo mic. That means that the application is calibrated for my particular microphone! I was able to quickly equalize my sound system and it sounds much better now..Version: 1.2.1

Pretty great! Could have better decibel calibrationThis is an awesome app. Fastest and highest resolution FFT I have seen on App Store. Professional development and works well. My only request is that there be a better measurement system of overall volume ("60dB" for voice and "95dB" for concert, etc.) Oh! Also, please add split screen support for iPad!.Version: 1.2.1

Awesome FFTDefinitely the best FFT available on iOS. Nice and fast and detailed and accurate..Version: 1.1

Great App!I work in the Audio Industry, I think this is a great app. Since my hearing is somewhat poor at higher frequency this app is also good for detecting and analysing noise sources on equipment..Version: 1.2.1

Perfect! This is a perfectly designed app! The single window interface is sooooo nice. I love that there aren't a bunch of "pop up" windows and other clutter. They keep it straight to the point - give you exactly what you need to analyze whatever sounds are around you. The "peak frequency" section is so handy and it's great that it shows you the corresponding "note value" right next to it. The pause button is great to just freeze the waveform and analyze the peaks/nulls by sliding your finger across the screen. I have used frequency analyzers in the past on my computer but there was always about 15 steps involved in getting it set up. This app is instant and there is no setup required. I WON'T be using the one on my computer anymore and I WILL be buying more apps from this company! If you want a beautifully designed and handy frequency analyzer app - this app is PERFECT! :).Version: 1.0

Great for running a sound boardI use it to help EQ vocals and instruments on our church's soundboard. It compares favorably with a pro sound app on a Mac with a mic. Hey, can you create sound meter app that will compensate for each phone model's mic frequency response? I have not found any accurate meter apps..Version: 1.1

Works as your audio-minded search would hopeHas all of the features you'd hope and need to do simple spectrum analysis or tuning. I've used it to troubleshoot turbulent flow in a nitrogen compressor and then tuned my piano with it later that evening. Worked perfectly..Version: 1.2.1

GoodReally nice to use - a great tool for setting up hi-fi speakers. It would be even better if the dBFS scale could be adjusted and/or reversed to give dB ref 20 uPa..Version: 1.0

It works perfectlyI have been waiting to have this kind of app! Thanks!.Version: 1.1
