AudioStretch for Positive User Reviews

Great AppFantastic app, works great with no bugs, very helpful in learning to play music!.Version: 1.4

Great for transcribing complex solosI was looking for an app which had the key features from a PC program “Transcribe!”, namely a playable piano keyboard with mapped spectral analysis. This is the only app I’ve found which does this. I downloaded demo versions of about six different music-orientated transcription apps to try out and this is the one I ended up buying. The interface is easy to navigate with a nice big waveform display and a “thumbnail” version to jump to other parts of the track. This one goes down to 0.01 speed and has fine pitch tuning. The ability to hear portions when paused and to “play” the waveform by scrubbing one’s finger are fantastically useful. It would be nice if the waveform had pinch zoom. Would also be good if it were able to be used in landscape orientation as the waveform and keyboard would have more screen space. This doesn’t have a few of the features from another app I found, namely the ability to add a delay between pressing play and the audio starting, or the option to add a pause between instances of the loop. There isn’t any EQing. That aside, it ticks all the boxes and is well worth the money and much better value than other apps at the same (or higher) price..Version: 6.4.0

The bestEasily the best app for changing audio tempo and key. Extremely easy to use and very good quality playback for slow tempos. Looping is accurate - ideal for the practice room and the Music classroom. Please add a record audio (without video) and export function!.Version: 6.0.0

Practically PerfectThis is exactly what I needed for my playlist. Sometimes I want to listen but don’t have time so I had to speed things up and also definitely helps me memorize things with the A B labels & loop. The ONLY issue I have so far on ios 12, sometimes it neither will let me do the shortcut swipe on top to change to next track on my playlist nor change it manually below even with the next track feature button enabled, happens randomly..Version: 6.5.0

IncredibleA great app, works just as intended. A lot better then I expected, I recommend this to anyone, I bought the full version and it’s well worth it.Version: 6.5.0

Wonderfully SimpleA very attractive app' indeed. Good to look at with its minimalist look: no clutter. Everything I was looking for when I first started trying slow-downer app's. Nor are there relentless pop-ups until you submit to buying the Pro+ version as in Anytune for example. Riffmaster has also been deleted. A nice app' that perfectly suits the iPhone..Version: 1.4

Super helpfulI often need to work on tunes in a different key than the recording, and this is my go-to helper app. The key can be changed without affecting the speed of the song, and the speed can be changed without affecting the key. Of course any vocals will sound a bit odd depending on how much the key is changed, but that is not a glitch with the app at all. You can also slow down the speed of a song to hear details or play along at a slower pace without changing the key, until you get familiar enough with the song to play at normal speed. I play lots of musical genres. One way that I use this: I find instrumental versions of fav rap songs and rewrite the lyrics. Sometimes I just need to backing tracks 5-10% slower so I can keep up with the bpm's. Highly recommended!.Version: 6.6.5

Not Just For MusicUpdate: Still a great app, now I can rewind 15 seconds when listening to interviews. I don’t use this app for its intended purpose of music. I have to record and then listen to a lot of interviews. This app has proved to be the best I can find for playback . It lets me quickly scrub through the audio - slow it down when I really need to hear something or speed up when it is boring! It is as smooth as silk (once they have loaded), and I am using files that are one-and-half hours long, so they are pretty big. The one thing I would like is a button that can take me back 10 or 15 seconds so I don’t have to scrub for short rewinds. Because the app is not designed for that I won’t mark it down..Version: 6.0.0

It works and it also worksSimple app that promises certain features that it does as advertised. Isn't it strange that increasing the tempo of a recording in most other apps also raises the pitch. And raising the pitch involves an increase of tempo. I never got that. This app only does what you ask it to. Raising the tempo does just that, only. When increasing the pitch, the tempo stays as it was. There are a bunch of other cool settings. Excellent app! Handy for music makers who want to play around with sound and have control..Version: 5.3.1

Useful! This app does a utilitarian job at pitch shifting and time stretching for purposes like picking up lyrics and music transcription. It does not do high quality, as that's typically off line even on desktop computers. One negative: a $2.99 app becomes free, but time limited to 2 minutes, unlocked with a $3.99 IAP....Version: 1.6

Works as it shouldI’ve been using this for years ... works as advertised, a rare occurrence with these apps Thanks.Version: 6.6.0

Brilliant Audio EditorThis is a brilliant audio editing app. My only wish is that it could be exported to MP3 rather than WAV.Version: 6.6.5

Good appGood app needs a record button, but there are way to record by the ear socket to an other device. But it got something about it like the way it lets you alter pitch and speed..Version: 3.2

MerciTrès bon pour trouver les notes exact.Version: 2.2

They’ve thought of everything.Excellent to loop a section and drill it, play along with it, get to know very very well. Markers get saved even for video files. Quality of time stretch is good enough for intended use, certainly not poor. Very glad I got this..Version: 6.4.0

FantasticNeeded something to replace Transcribe on the Mac. This does it brilliantly..Version: 6.6.0

Very useful softwareI use it frequently to practice guitar. Functionality and quatily is excellent..Version: 6.6.0

Great app! This app was suggested in a Facebook group and happened to get some great comments and the price was great! I went ahead and purchased the full version and have no regrets! In fact, just yesterday I recorded a bass line in a higher octave that was triggering a synth app. I decided I wanted a low octave to synch with it, but playing the bass line over exactly like the original would be virtually impossible! I exported the original bass line into the AudioStretch app and lowered the pitch down a full octave without slowing the file and there was very little sound degradation! I then exported back to my DAW and it was perfect! Another great feature is this app will change video audio without changing the video itself...just the audio. It really saves some steps if you are editing a video! I highly recommend this app! 😊💖✨.Version: 6.4.0

Absolutely Brilliant! As a guitar player, this app has every feature you need if you want to learn guitar parts from songs. I cannot praise this enough!.Version: 6.6.0

Best App Ever for musicians!!!Hi Guys I just want to say thank you so much for this app. It has helped me immensely as our singer in our band has a difficult tone and we always have to transpose the chords. As a bass player to practise alone it’s very difficult with no backing tracks but now I can. !!!! 👏👏 Can I ask for a wish? If I may I would love to have a search for the song you looking for. Thank you guys well done 👍.Version: 6.6.1

Oh so versatile audio app.Absolutely my go to audio app. Ideal for learning songs. Forget the rest get this..Version: 6.4.0

Fiddle studendThis app replaces audacity when away from my PC, and does its task very well..Version: 1.4

WonderfulThank you,Thank You I had an old program and the developers did not update. This is tremendously helpful for me when learning difficult guitar songs. Thanks again. Buy it. You won’t be disappointed.Version: 6.6.0

MusicBrilliant app! Straight forward and easy to use.Version: 2.0

Audiostretch is a awesome.Audiostretch is a awesome. I have been looking for a video slow-downer for practicing my new and previously recorded fiddle tunes. The scrubbing is buttery smooth and the waveform/repeat region is easy to set. I like that I can access the audio library and the camera roll and browse iCloud. However, I notice if I capture a video through AudioStretch and then export it to iCloud, it only saves the audio. Am I missing something, is there a way to save the captured video file to iCloud? Also, a way to rename the file as it is saved to iCloud would be nice as well. I can rename it in the Files app, but it’s just an extra step. Well done!.Version: 6.4.0

Best music App in its classUse it constantly to learn new vocal harmonies and retune and change speed of MP3 or wav. for performance..Version: 4.0

Dark Mode and AUv3 PleaseLove the app but it’s super bright when your working in a dark room. It’d be great to have a Dark Mode option! And while your at it... how about turning it into an AUv3 ? You know we all want it..Version: 6.6.0

A marvelus app but with a silver lineI can say that this is the best app for changing playback speed.I've been searching such an app since long a go. But it has two big weak points: 1-after it reaches the 3th minute of each song, it stop playing and want you to buy it otherwize you can not listen to the rest of the song or audio. Tha means it is not a free app. 2-all the time when you have finished listening to an audio, it brings you back to all songs; not the playlist..Version: 1.5

An incredible surpriseAudioStretch is great for working out chords for songs. The keyboard at the top is indispensable. A great find!.Version: 4.3

Whaddya want for .99?Been looking for an app like this for a long time. Had an old Tasco cd unit that would change speed & pitch, but it got markedly grainy when slowed down. This thing works great. I am not a Millennial, so I’m not too demanding. It gives me everything I need, and a little bit more, to woodshed the p*ss outta whatever is in my library. Good job, Matey!.Version: 6.4.0

I’m a professional jazz musician this app is excellent! One of my favorite apps I used to use to transcribe music was discontinued, and I could not reinstall it on my new iPad, so I was looking for a good transcribing app to replace it, and was not impressed with most other ones I found, until I found this app, the slow down works excellently, and does not distort pitch the way other inferior apps do that I found on the App Store. It’s easy to use and totally worth the $10 highly recommend for serious professionals trying to transcribe complicated music!.Version: 6.6.5

Great app!I have been using this app for a few years now, and it’s really cool to listen to music with different speeds and pitches. The one thing that sets this app apart is the lossless quality of pitching i.e., no audio distortion when pitching up or down. One thing I would like to see is audio scrubbing on the lock screen or control center. I believe it was implemented in a previous update, but gone now. Still a great app!.Version: 6.6.6

Cool app! Does everything it claims.Title says it all. I'm using an iPhone 4 and iOS 6..Version: 1.0

Audio StretchWow! This is an elegant program. I’ve been publishing single line melody music books (fiddle music) for 40 years and have always used technology to assist my transcription process. First it was half speed using reel-to-reels which maintained pitch (albeit an octave down) but sound was abysmal at half spend. Next it was pitch control on cassettes which allowed less dramatic speed changes making it slight more musical - but you had to constantly retune your instrument. I became a Mac user in 1987 and for many years I used a Program called Transcribe which allowed creation of loop points and transposition of keys. Fidelity suffered and fine tuning was not an option. Eventually Transcriber appeared ... a full function Mac OS X program which I continue to use. By its simplicity Audio stretch takes it further .... now you can easily adjust the pitch and duration of a clip and email it to a friend/student without the use of another application. Stop-start by tapping the screen is a great part of the intuitive interface however, by reflex (from years of desktop use where the keyboard space bar acts as a toggle switch for pause-start (the universal audio keystroke (from Pro Tools to Transcribe) I’d like to be able to use my keyboard My iPad Pro uses a Smart Keyboard which also serves as its stand ...assuming Apple hasn’t blocked the possibility to make app specific keystrokes... then my request to use the space bar, should be an easy fix. This should work for all iPads (including ones using older Bluetooth keyboards) Thanks for a great stable app Paul Cranford cranfordpub.com.Version: 6.5.0

Great audio app!Wonderful app. Import audio clip and manipulate like mad. Export to your fav DAW. Really fun and useful app..Version: 6.6.0

YumIt’s good very yummy food 😋.Version: 6.6.2

This is the best music transcription app out there right nowAs the title says, this is hands down the best transcription tool out there on the market right now, not only on smart phones. However, I would love to see an equalizer feature added to boost certain hard to hear instruments/frequencies. It can sometimes be quite difficult to hear some instruments, due to how they were recorded. It could also be really beneficial to have it so you can isolate 1 or more frequencies to better hone in to the more buried instruments. 👍🏻.Version: 6.6.2

Really useful music toolBrilliant. Ideal for learning that piece of music. Up and running within minutes, using my saved music. Easy to increase/decrease speed. Tap/slider. Easy to change pitch. Tap/slider. Easy to loop the bit you are focussing on. Chord notes and harmonics displayed & can be played so you understand the construction. Great user interface. A lot of thought has gone into this app. Thank you..Version: 6.6.1

ExcellentExcellent App for time and pitch stretching plus so many other useful features..Version: 6.4.0

Spectacular appI couldn't recommend it enough. It's probably the only app one needs from transcription. I wish there was a Windows version of it..Version: 6.6.6

Great appBrilliant app with a simple interface for changing the tempo and pitch. Very useful..Version: 4.3

Super solid app, except for state managementJust to start, this app is awesome. It’s super fun to play with and it’s also a legitimately useful tool. I appreciate the attention to detail and the UX is very good… except: Sometimes when i return to the app, the track/video I had been working with in the timeline disappears, erasing all of the precise time markers and adjustments I had from my last session. Most of the time when the app is relaunched, this data persists, but every once and a while it will just be gone. This is especially annoying because there is no way to save a project or snapshot of your workspace in the app. Every time a track is loaded, it’s treated as a clean slate. Developer, I would appreciate a way to save the app’s configuration relative to a track in some way..Version: 6.6.5

Almost perfectThis app is good if you want to mix two songs together, but I request only ONE THING. When changing the tempo of a song, you make it so not only can you change the tempo in a 1s or the 0.00s but ALSO make it so we can change the 0.000s place. Because when I’m mixing a song the tempo is ALMOST perfect but it’s slightly off..Version: 6.6.2

Awesome appGreat tool for learning to play music by ear, slows down the music without unwanted noise.Version: 1.4

I've been waiting for an app just like this!Time and pitch are fully independent, and it sounds great! I can't wait to try with AudioBus. Simple and straightforward. Update: The Keyboard and Spectrum view is really instructive, and there are many other great options in the settings from which to choose. It’s likely years after my initial review, and I still use this app constantly — absolutely one of my favorite, most-used apps of all time. The only feature I would like added would be a Dark Mode (an in-app purchase to add this feature would be fine with me)..Version: 6.6.0

Try It, YOU WILL BUY IT!AnytunePro+ was my go-to prior to finding this app. Ability to operate in reverse with modified pitch and/or speed, exports in wav, can manually control playback by touch, etc. This program is AMAZING! Only way they could make this better is to allow live recording if you were so inclined to toy around. But that's an unnecessary geek request. Just try it, you will buy it..Version: 6.6.6

Who doesn't love stretching stuff?Very little effort for big results also it's well supported.Version: 6.1.1

I Love Auto StretchSo my brother got this game and it’s so funny so I asked my brother what’s the name of the app and he said Auto Stretch so I got it and I test it out with Justin Bieber Baby it was so funny and stuff I’m still learning how to work it and stuff so yeah and I play it 247 it’s so fun for boredom and on car rides I love this game so much.Version: 6.6.2

Must have app for all musiciansThis app is amazing for learning songs and challenging yourself with tempo and pitches. I use this all the time and have told friends about this. Very good app!!.Version: 1.4

Awesome helper for signersVirtual choir rehearsals stink. But going over rehearsal tracks later with Stretch really helps. I like being able to set A-B sections to repeat tricky spots, easy scrub to anywhere. Slowing tempo without changing the pitch (unless I want to). Really nicely done! My only request would be to allow adding annotations, both text and simple “pencil”markings ideally. Probably harder than I think to do well, but I’d pay a couple dollars for that feature..Version: 6.6.1

So Easy to use!Hands down my favorite transcribing app—everything is intuitive and uncomplicated. I love that you can hold on a note with your finger too..Version: 6.6.2

Great appI really like this app. I started using it in 2022 on my older phone, nearing my one year veteran mark. I’d like it better if it had more audio tweaking options like changing tempo and maybe some features like audacity has (e.g. some audio filters, reverb, etc.).Version: 6.6.6

Fantastic audio toolNow even better with audio bus and audio share support !.Version: 3.6

Very useful!I like to play with pre recorded duets. This does a great job of slowing the music while maintaining pitch. Lots of other good tools and settings make it possible to easily control master volume and left/right volumes quickly..Version: 6.6.6

Great for language learningLets you slow down audio and scrub it. Perfect for learning speech in another language..Version: 4.2

App won’t work with Garage BandI am attempting to mess around with some songs I have created and saved in Garage Band but when I go to import the files, the app tells me the song isn’t available on the device. Help?.Version: 6.5.0

Great appThis app does exactly what it claims: it takes any song in your itunes library and allows you to adjust the speed (slower and faster) of any song. There really isn't any issue with the pitch at all, almost like it was originally recorded at that speed. There is a rudimentary loop function you can use too, to help focus on certain passages.Version: 3.4

Super usefulMy daughter just used this to quickly learn the sax part of Careless Whisper. Way faster than manually going back and replaying each part. Btw it has a great Latin vibe when played at 160% speed. :-).Version: 1.3

Brilliant Utility App, and really, much more...If you are a musician in need of an Audio Breakdown/Analysis Tool for Pitch and Phrasing and your Audio source is good enough to be worthy of this beast, then it is one of THE great bargains for musicians. It is also capable of doing so much more than that if connected to an Output Source in Audiobus...where it has the potential for exceedingly cool experimentation. Audio Artifacts are negligible, even at 5x sped up or slowed down, and the touch wav file play option is similarly perfectly implemented. If you are a musician working in OSX or PC and do not know about some of the things that are available to you in the iOS system, time to investigate and get over the idea that great Audio Production, Synthesis, Audio Processing, Instrumentation, Audio Tracking cannot be done on an iPad. Get yourself a copy of Audiobus, and start discovering the hundreds of fantastic value Audio tools available to you for a tenth of what you would pay for the Desktop Counterparts....Version: 4.5

UrgentI really like this app as soon as I seen it I bought it because I need this. For some reason the app does not let me hear any sounds I put on track.... any reason why?.Version: 6.4.0

The only app you need for figuring out solos...period!I don't usually write reviews, but I have been using AudioStretch for only a few days and I have to say this is the single most powerful tool for figuring out solos and fast/complex passages I have ever used! As of this writing, the guys at AudioStretch just added markers and I can now say this app is as close to simple perfection as you can get. No matter how much "better" technology gets, this app will remain a important piece in my toolbox for this purpose. If you pride yourself as the type of person that learns songs, solos and riffs by ear, you need this app!!.Version: 4.7

Fantastic appWorks really well. A big help for anyone learning a musical instrument. Highly recommend it..Version: 4.5

Great App !Fantastic app until today...latest update and now it won’t load any mp3 or video files..Version: 6.4.0

Language learningThis is an absolutely amazing App for language learning. Using the Split Screen mode on the iPad, which I was unable to do with other audio apps, I can see the text and easily loop the phrases, which has really helped me with my pronunciation..Version: 6.5.0

Almost PERFECT transcription appGreat work guys it’s well thought out by musicians for musicians ! Please can you make rewind customisable and 15s is way too much 5s or 3s would be more useful and it would be even better if you make adjustable in the settings? Thank You.Version: 6.5.0

JimGoodHaven't been using it for long, but so far it's done everything I've needed it to do! Was looking for an iOS equivalent of Transcribe, this seems to fit the bill. Gerry was also very quick to get back to me with support. Only suggestion might be the ability to drag/slide the loop markers, but that's it so far..Version: 2.2

This app is a game changer!!!!!One of my hobbies is that I sing 4-part barbershop music. The most conventional way to learn our music is that we get learning tracks with your part in one ear(channel) and the 3 other parts in the other ear. I have had other apps that also have the ability to slow down, change keys, block off sections to work but the biggest change with AudioStretch is that you can listen to a note or chord as long as you wish as long as your finger is on the screen. The feature is awesome when something is really fast or hard to hear. You can also load your own video and do the same thing there. The other feature that is different is that you cal load a piano bar at the top of the screen. It shows which notes are being sung and the overtones that are produced. If you learn your notes visually, this will help. This is the best out there to learn music. It might cost a little it is so worth it!!!!! ***Addendum*** As I mentioned earlier, I do have another similar app that has a lot of the same features. The one thing it has that AudioStretch does not have currently is the ability to keep a list of files that have been uploaded previously. It makes it easier to go back and forth to different files. If that feature were to be added, it would have everything I need. Thank you again for a great app!!!!!!.Version: 6.6.0

Great appI love this app. I really hope it will be maintained because it is very useful and easy to use. I have used the classic Amazing Slow Downer on my desktop and laptops for years but I think AudioStretch is even better in some ways. I love the capacity to manually scroll through the waveform via touchscreen; this reminds me of cueing tracks on an LP record and works better for me at times than just having an auto play loop on repeat..Version: 6.4.0

More than I need!I really like this app! I'm listening to long educational content, and I needed to speed things up. This app not only speeds or slows the content, but gives precise control of pitch, shows frequencies & BPM, even lets you backmask if you drag to the right. It saves and posts what you make to a choice of several destinations. Only thing I can think of for improvement would be to add selection of entire directories for play, or make playlists. Great app, though. Worth the money..Version: 6.6.0

Awesome toolThis is a great way to analyse, transcribe, and practice music. Now that I've seen a what it can do I can't imagine being without it..Version: 3.3

CoolNice app. Very handy for playing backing songs in the key I like..Version: 1.4

Needs previous tabs menuI really enjoy the app and really have no problems except for when I would like to look at my previous projects it’s really annoying having to go back a look for them..Version: 6.6.0

Add more share optionsAdd more share options such as Google drive, iCloud Drive, and other cloud storages. The rest is just brilliant..Version: 3.3

A Stretch In Time Saves ...As a 'Slow Down/ Learn the Notes' Practice App this is pretty much without peer (all the others are horribly glitchy with live scrubbing!). The real genius of this deceptively simple app for me is its potential as a powerful, tactile, intuitive and supremely musical ' Musical Instrument' in its own right! Yup that's right! I've spent hours spectral bending a piece of Bernard Hermanns immense stretched jazzy terror from Taxi Driver... And it takes it somewhere even stranger! This is powerful performance instrument in its own right! Grab an iPad, Audiostretch and some samples and start your own 'Electro Kronos Quartet!' Awesome!!!.Version: 4.9.2

This is the best of its kindAs a musician I have used my iPhone, for many years, to slow and change music pitch for learning. I have used all the different apps with differing degrees of success. This one is NEAR PERFECT. The ability to 'hold' notes and set speed simply by finger control of the timeline sets it apart from all the others. Now, if the developer could add a 'save' option for A-B selections.... That would be PERFECTER ;-) A well deserved 5 Stars for a great product. Thanks..Version: 3.2

Excellent App for teachers, musicians, students to practice withAfter buying so many Apps to slow and speed up music, changing keys etc., this is the best App I've found today to be useful but more importantly, the sound quality is maintained throughout all the changes made. I shall recommend this App for my students and musician friends. The cost is very reasonable too. Great App! Highly recommended! Thank you to the creators...well done Andrew.Version: 2.2

Wow!!This HAS to be one of the best audio editing apps there is. Superbly designed. Changing speed and or pitch is an absolute doddle. A must have app..Version: 4.1

All markers are gone after restartWhen restarting the app all the markers are gone, one surely doesn’t want to have to set them again and again..Version: 6.6.0

Great appLove this app it's really good to make your music flow would be even nicer if you did an update so that we could save the songs we stretch to our music library on our iPhone 👍.Version: 5.3.3

Worth every pennyThe answer to all my dreams. Speed up a backing track and change the key with good quality and send to other apps, etc... I love it. Worth ever penny. A gem of an app. Only suggestions, if any, would be some kind of audio splice, copy and paste facility, volume control and I know I'm pushing it here, an audio overdub facility. All in all an amazing app. So glad I found it. 5 stars..Version: 5.0.1

BrilliantBest of its kind that I've used & it's regularly maintained & updated. Great Job!.Version: 4.2

BestDefinitely best of its kind. Just works. Might consider recording or import files?.Version: 3.2

EQ would be perfectGreat app. 5th star if you add an EQ.Version: 6.6.0

Crashes oftenGreat app when it works. The interface is super simple and intuitive. Sadly, it crashes sometimes but seems to be pretty stable recently..Version: 6.6.2

Amazing, just one suggestionThis app is the best. I am a musician & use it every day. I think it would be nice if there was a way to queue files (like a playlist) and set each tempo & pitch interval individually. Other than that, 11/10!.Version: 6.6.0

Perfect!Does exactly what it says. Super responsive playback. Quality at slow speed is great for transcription. Nice one!.Version: 1.9

NiceNice.Version: 6.6.6

One of the best apps I have ever boughtThis hit all the pain points I had while trying to play a song and learn it in stretches. Particularly brilliantly done is the ability to manual track back and forth without losing pitch. Love it, love it!.Version: 6.6.2

A must-have tool.Elegant and uncluttered UI, a simplicity that just works. Still the best of its type..Version: 5.3.2

Best transcription tool ever.I use this app every time I need to transcribe a song. It’s become such a part of my toolkit, and if any musician asked me my favorite apps for professional level musicians - this would be number 1. You can slow down, loops sections, transcribe, scrub, and the keyboard even shows you what notes are being played at any given time. Additionally you can import many formats, so your not stuck with your iTunes library, just airdrop yourself an .mp3 and start transcribing. I can’t speak highly enough of this app, best value in the AppStore. Fora serious musician, This app is reason enough to buy a smart phone. I’d give it ten stars if I could..Version: 6.6.2

THE BEST APP OF IT'S KIND?I've been using AudioStretch for a month now, and reckon it's got to be the best app out there - especially for the price - for slowing music down so as to practise (I play guitar). I usually opt to have a keyboard at the top of the screen to show exactly which notes are being played - a kind of double-check if you like. You can slow the music down to just 5% speed, or to a standstill, then move through the recording one note/chord at a time - really useful, especially for the more difficult bits. The pitch control allows you to alter the pitch of the music to suit the tuning of your own instrument - nice! There are other controls but I've never found the need. All in all, probably the best value for money I've ever come across in an app. Thoroughly recommended!.Version: 2.2

Video disappears app switchingThe full screen video still disappears when app switching then coming back to this app. Unfortunately this update hasn’t fixed that problem and the app is still frustrating to use because of it. Otherwise it’s a excellent app and very well made..Version: 6.6.6

Go FigureThis is a great little app that does exactly what it says. Very simple to use and really helpful for working stuff out..Version: 1.2

Great interface, needs “recent items”This is *almost* the slow downer I’ve been looking for! Great clean interface (i really don’t know why most are so incredibly ugly) and it can read from the local library and my cloud services. The one thing that seems obvious and is missing is a “recent items” section in the file open dialog. I tend to be working on a few songs at once, so why not have the top item on the + menu be “recents >” that opens up a submenu list of the last twenty files, sortable by most recent or name, and then opens them with their last pitch/time settings, markers, and loop. Then it would be perfect! (Left the same review on the lite version and then immediately upgraded :).Version: 6.6.0

Variable speed shift feature requestThis app is great; but it’d be even better if it had the option to snap the speed and pitch together; so that variable seed shift would be available!.Version: 6.6.7

Perfection of the Infinite Technique Chromium SquaredThis app is perfect for learning songs note for note and more! It has many functions and controls that serve a variety of needs and capabilities. In all honesty this is a well thought out app and you’ll agree when you download and use it. Simple Beautiful and Works Perfect! This app is one that deserves a review. :).Version: 6.6.5

Worth the price 100%I’ve been using this app to slow and pitch down some of my favorite songs and this is absolutely perfect. Not only that, but I can also use this to play the songs normally ad-free and I can loop it for as long as I want. I originally got it for the memes but I’ve been using it for about a year now and it hasn’t lost its value..Version: 6.6.5

Great but waiting for a tweakStill the best app of its kind, but I have been asking them for years to make double tapping on the tempo set to 1X (which is helpful) rather than zero (which creates a terrible noise).Version: 6.6.5

GreatFinally. everything you need. Slows down and loops. Worth every penny..Version: 6.6.7

Best app for wav manipulation.AudioBus and Dropbox support, plus fine positioning control make this app both a wave form manipulation tool, and a potential musical instrument. Its almost forensic abilities make it indispensable! Nic.Version: 5.3.3

Well done!I really like the app. So far so good. One thing I would like to see is possibly detecting the bpm of the beat and translating it to actually number values. Since I produce, I know the bpm and key my songs are in so I can still figure what I’m changing it to but for songs I haven’t produced, it’d be a little more difficult to figure out without this..Version: 6.6.0

5 stars IF -------Can you "Add a display" option to the browse function so it is not the large tile view only and add the "List" style or "Detail" style list option as seen/used in Windows OS, for example? Really easy to use app with good speed and pitch modulation down to the one hundredth of a decimal note/speed. Exports a converted WAV file pretty fast. And exports the original files type with high quality to its original with adjustments. Thanks.Version: 6.6.0

Love itI have been making weird videos using this app and it’s fun..Version: 6.6.6

Great app but I want to request one thingI’m a huge fan of the app, it truly is amazing, but this would be probably the greatest music app ever if you added a center channel filter. Similar to the left minus right option but it’s the center channel (meaning main vocals bass lead guitars). If you could make this possible I’d truly be grateful!!.Version: 6.6.0

Salut D’Amour by Elgar in in c# minor, finallyEnamored by Edwardian parlor musing. I have a recording of this piece in b minor. I am a pianist, and I recently I found a violinist that can play the solo in the original key, c#. With your Audiostretch I was able to transpose my recording to c# minor, and have a fighting chance to practice the accompaniment in the required key. Bought the full version, and it is awesome. Thank you for fulfilling my dream of playing this shamelessly romantic piece with a violinist..Version: 6.6.0

Impressive app - just the job!I transcribe jazz solos and this is the best app I’ve found for that purpose. Simple to use but deep in functionality. Especially the piano/spectrum - this is indispensable for helping identify pitch. Also, the fact it imports both audio and audio from video is a real bonus. I’ve had Anytune but prefer AudioStretch as it doesn’t get in the way of doing the job of transcription pure and simple. Excellent work from the developers..Version: 6.6.0

Killer appAudiostretch is beautiful, fun, supported(!!), and best of all, works as advertised. Fave app to mess around with.Version: 6.0.0

AmazingThis is the best app (or program for that matter, I haven’t used anything better on a computer) I have found for transcribing jazz solos. Intuitive, easy to use, smooth interface, and very effective. You can actually ‘grab’ the sound and - for example - hear every note in a strummed guitar chord. Perfect. Could use a ‘favourites’ or ‘recent files’ button in a future update..Version: 6.4.0

AmazingHaven’t found anything like it. Distinctive feature: import from recorded video 👌.Version: 6.6.5

One of my best purchases! This app has been so incredibly useful for me. Find myself coming back to this when even an expensive DAW can’t handle pitch shifting as effortlessly as this..Version: 6.5.0

Excellent!Perfect for karaoke and backing tracks etc. We had to find a backing track for my daughter but the original wasn't in her vocal range. Now we can make any track work for her! Would love to have more options added for exporting the song, like saving it straight into the music library or Dropbox..Version: 3.1

Great for learning to play along songsThis app is great to learn to play along your favourite song. It can slow down the song without changing the pitch. The speed can be adjusted so one can learn at their own speed. You can also put markers in the song and let it loop within the markers in order to practice a specific part of the song without having to stop and rewind manually. Overall, it's a great learning tool to help you play your favourite song!.Version: 5.1.1

Perfect for practicingI use it a lot to practice choir scores, learn guitar solos, etc. It’s a perfect piece of software..Version: 6.6.2

Excellent InterfaceAudio Stretch is quite an amazing app that makes the technical part of transcribing easy. The tempo and pitch controls are easily changed by whatever amount you desire (by either sliding them or scaling up/down. You can play a small part of a recording ‘by hand’ in the style of moving old r/r tape slightly, or even hold a sound to listen to a certain moment of your choice. Loops are easy to use. There is a keyboard picture which indicates the pitches/overtones that the app hears at a certain spot; this is helpful to verify what you are hearing (used by itself only visually, the results might seem a bit jumbled). Start/stop is very easy with a tap on the screen. One note: you must own (i.e. purchase) a copy of the music (via the itunes store, for example) you are working on for the app to access it. You may not just import a stream into the app. If you have any appreciation of musicians’ relationship to their recordings and copyright, you will understand why this is. Do not expect to use/manipulate/etc. streamed recordings for free..Version: 6.6.5

The most valuable app on my phoneTranscription is part of how I earn my living as a full time musician. I’ve been using this app every single day for quite a while now and am thrilled with its functionality. Really easy to navigate, rewind, and change pitch. The only small gripe I have is that adjusting the pitch cents can be kind of a pain, but it’s still doable. Very well done overall..Version: 6.6.0

Superb, remarkable...I'm a veteran of Anytune Pro+ and will doubtless continue to use that app a great deal, not least for ReFrame isolation, but this app certainly adds superb functionality which cannot be found elsewhere The 'zero speed' playback is a brilliant feature, as is the unique keyboard display of the frequency spectrum. As others have mentioned, the scrubbing is uncannily smooth and thus more usable than any other such feature I have encountered. I'm delighted to have found this, for all that I evidently overlooked its existence for years....Version: 6.4.0

Really useful! So useful for transcribing and practising difficult parts, as well as shifting pitch for different instruments. Only complaint would be it would be good to have a recent or favourites list to access frequently used tracks quickly..Version: 6.4.0

Recent Bug! Fixed!Recently I have encountered issues importing tracks from my iCloud. Sometimes, the same track would download and other times it won’t. I have no issues with internet connection. This has happened frequently with different tracks (MP3’s). I emailed Support a few weeks ago but hasn’t received a response. This is just a recent issue because I have been using the app for many years with no problem. I will upgrade the one star to 5 once I get a response and a resolution. BTW, I deleted the app and installed it several times. I’m using iPhone 11 Pro Max. When I restarted my phone the app worked fine. I’ll give back the 5 stars to my favorite app..Version: 6.6.0

Get it while it's free!Powerful, intuitive and free. What's not to like? This is a great little app for working out how a song is put together and is also good fun for just messing with your music library and warping your favourite tracks. :).Version: 1.3

Had app for Five Minutes. WowThis is the only slow down app to by period. I have had them all and have been battling the slow down challenge for 55 years. Cassette tapes you name it but this is SO Easy to use already The scrub feature and the in app reminders are a blessing. Other apps I have used are a maze of settings but not this one although in the Settings section I noticed a bunch of useful shortcuts. I wish Ableton had the scrub feature. Thanks so much guys..Version: 6.4.0
