✓ EDIT: Fixed some bugs ty but still uglyLiterally looks like they used google clip art in places, stuff is cropped and placed so bad. The home screen is super cluttered, at least remove the upgrades button once we've maxed out all the upgrades or let us collapse all the buttons. Also the runner button is too big and clunky and the neon blue play button is completely unneeded, it's cooler to tap the idol. The game doesn't fill the screen on the iPhone 13. I hate the new chest animation, I liked how the old one did one at a time. The forced pause after a chest is opened, an artifact reward is collected, or a run is ended is really annoying. I don't like the new icons or fonts at all, it clashes so much, especially the notifications on the artifacts page for uncollected rewards, what generic word doc font even is that?? Please let us wrap around on the character select page so I can scroll through all my characters without having to scroll backwards to get to where I started. Scarlet fox time thief and astrid whatever her third costume is aren't loading at all, I can't see them or how to unlock them. EDIT: We can change coin skins now and the game is no longer lagging, so the running part itself is now fine even though the UI remains ugly. I like the pets, totems, and new maps though. Also the grid selection screen for pets and hats is greatly appreciated..Version: 1.96.2
✓ Rubbish! A one device game & latest update terribleSo buggy, half the characters and outfits won't load since latest update. Bought the coin doubler and the starter pack on my iPad and cant use it on my iPhone. I have backed up using the icloud and my game centre tab drops down on both devices to say I am connected, but I would have to start again on my iphone if i want to play on that. Every other game I play is spread over all my devices and linked. Is it too hard for you Imangi? Does your development team need some help? ✓ New update is very frustratingI really hate the new update. The design is very confusing and I'm not sure why it changed so much. I don't know how to do anything like change skills and changing players is super annoying. Also for some reason I have a new high score that's way lower than my actual score. I don't get it. ✓ IssueHi. The updated Xmas game is good but the music is terrible. Drove me crazy and had to switch sound off. Also when the game ends and it shows the "End Run" or "Continue" screen and shows how many gems you have can you please also show the score and coins. That way players can make a choice to end or continue based on score. ✓ Latest Update is HorribleThis used to be a great game. I played it every day on two different devices. Frequent updates with new and interesting challenges. But this latest update with the new UI is terrible. The developers wasted their time fixing something that wasn’t broken. Now several things are broken. There are challenges that don’t work (3M run with Montana Smith for one), jittery screens, delayed responses to gestures, and more. Need to admit your mistake and roll back this update ASAP or I feel you will lose many longtime customers. Edit: several weeks have gone by and there are still major problems with this app. More daily challenges that don’t work (found another one today), screen’s still jittery, etc. Apparently the developers no longer care about fixing their issues. And there doesn’t appear to be anywhere else to buy this map either. Anyone with the Spirits Bundle should also be given the Pirates Cove Gold map as they’re practically the same. I also can’t play Winter Toyland due to constantly getting a download error message 2109 every time I want to launch it. ✓ Update has ruined the run!TR2 used to be a fun game to relax to. Since the update, it’s one of the buggiest games un my list. Jump and slide bugs all over the place - more than there used to be. In the past, there were map tiles that bugged a flawless run with a malfunction that made your runner jump no matter what you did. This now happens far more often. Gem hungry - since the update, I must have spent 5x the gems I would have in the past as dailies refuse to complete, or jump and slide malfunctions cause you to spend to try to complete a daily. Daily melt-down - with more than 54 million meters under my belt and a daily streak of more than 2.6k, I know how to play TR2. But tonight, my daily list already had one complete star in the main panel that did not register in the chest, meaning that I couldn’t collect all three daily stars. Past days have seen dailies that will not complete no matter what you do, unless you pay to swap them out! After more than 7 years of running, this update is a huge disappointment. It feels half finished and the devs don’t seem bothered by it at all. It’s time to hang up the running shoes. If TR2 is going to end up a pay to win game, I’m not interested..Version: 1.81.3

Cant even unlock him with diamonds. ✓ Great game with WAY too many ads!Loved this game after enjoying the original for years but the ads now are absolutely ridiculous. You have to go through long ads that take forever until you can finally close out of them, most of the ads requiring you to click on some part of it where it’ll most likely take you where you can download it from the AppStore. Honestly spoils the game and makes it frustrating to play. I get that it’s a free game and you deserve to make money off of it and you do that through your ads, but COME ON this is ridiculous! You can now see your progress in the daily and weekly quests when you pause. 2. Thankfully you’ve left the awful “Social” animation off the gameplay screen. 3. That’s it!! Bad points still to address; 1. Lag between pressing the pause button and the game actually pausing. 2. Font and area used for the score cannot accommodate a score above 10,000,000 and once hitting that, shrinks in size to something unreadable. 3. Animation when using gems to pay for “Save Me” and for Power-up bonuses is unnecessary and long winded - needs to be removed. 4. Truncation of the word “Congratulations” when getting a chest. Please use full and correct spelling. 5. The UI still looks childish and is still very confusing. Admit you made a big mistake in changing it and put it back to how it originally was. ✓ New UpdateThe new UI update does not help to make things simpler, it’s just as confusing as before but it looks worse, more claustrophobic. When you use gems to make your abilities stronger/last longer, you have to do it once at a time and wait for an animation to stop. You used to be able to click rapidly to boost you abilities quickly to full. Now it takes unnecessarily long. The old UI/layout was on the right track, as aesthetically it was fitting. But the new update hasn’t made things “flow” better or made things less confusing. I’ve also got an ugly black bar across the top of my screen, and I excesses space at the bottom. ✓ Temple Run??I LOVE how you can unlock new characters and give them costumes. But there are a few things that I don’t like. 1) I don’t like how there are only five ‘senes.’ I think that instead of decorating Sky Summit for Halloween, there should be a sene that is like a haunted house and the person starts outside and gets to go inside and stuff like that. And the same thing goes for all of the other holidays. 2) I also think that we should get gems more often and the cleopatra and some of the other characters should really get more than one costumes. 3) The last thing that I don’t like is the fact that you never get the idol. ✓ Once Pretty Good, Now Sad Overall.Nothing like having a challenge that is impossible to attain. Daily Quests Change, as the name indicates. Only problem is they are often unobtainable. For instance, one of the six from today’s challenge is “Sky Summit Quest, Collect 500 Coins in the Minecart.” I’ve played the game off and on all day, satisfied the other five daily quests but cannot even get this Sky Summit map to load the minecart. I’ve run 11,500 meters without using a continue, collected 4,776 coins and have 6,560,190 points but can’t access the mine/minecart. I’ve run the water run so many times I’m sick of it, done the log run as many times BUT cannot get to the mine no matter what I do. Thus, I’ll let it pass, quit trying, put this game down and play something else. May just delete it as it’s happened before but took days before the minecart would load. I won’t be doing that again. I suggest you find a game that actually makes the goals achievable, this one does not..Version: 1.63
✓ Good gameI used to play this game a lot, it was a great way to test my hand eye coordination and my response time. However, when they massively overhauled/updated the game last year and changed the menu, I have noticed that the sensitivity and response from the game has dropped. The main page looks cluttered with the over sized icons and the graphic of the runner in the corner. I also think there is less chances to get coins, chests and power ups during gameplay. ✓ Updated challenges are way too difficultI have loved Temple Run since 2011, and it has been one of the only apps I’ve had consistently on every iPhone and iPod touch I’ve owned. The graphics of the new update are beautiful, and they give you more and more features, outfits, and characters to unlock all the time. The app has aged very well. However, my only complaint is that the global challenges have become increasingly difficult, to the point that it’s not fun for me to try and meet the goal anymore. They either require to run an absurd amount of meters in one round without falling or using a continue, or the require sheer screenplay of you playing for hours and hours to gain any kind of achievement on the goal tier. The global challenges have always been fun, and sometimes are a real challenge from me. But the last 3 or 4 are just insane. And this is coming from someone who has played for 7 years and has a high score of 19 million without using a continue. I will still play the game when I’m bored, but no longer have any desire to attempt the global challenges. Bummer..Version: 1.51.2

When people deleted the app to try and fix the problems and reinstall the game we found out that from all of the data and daily challenges things in the game that was completed could not be added back to your devices and people had completed years of them they would stop playing temple run 2 and fully delete the game for ever. ✓ What happened….I do not remember this game being so glitchy. I was expecting to redownload this and get the same experience, but I was so wrong. Almost every time you try to jump, duck, or slide to the side, it doesn’t pick up your finger movements. This is such a disappointment because the maps were very impressive and creative before. Now, you can’t even get past the first 4 stretches of them! The way that the maps look is also different. Many of them don’t seem to be as detailed as before, and so many of them look almost layered, but not in a good way. Even the homepage of the game and and the end game screen seem to be stretched out. In short, the graphics, gameplay, and overall quality of the game is very dissatisfying and disappointing. ✓ TR2 ruined by latest update.I have played this game for years & it was my favourite game on the IPad. Since the last update I can no longer understand what the game is about. The whole interface is meaningless & impossible to negotiate. The touch screen is unresponsive causing the characters to jump straight ahead when trying to turn, not jumping etc. I thought that my IPad touch screen was faulty until I have read other reviews describing the same issues. In it’s current state the game is almost unplayable and is resulting in long term fans abandoning the game in disgust. Please sort out the issues or revert to the original format..Version: 1.82.1
✓ Good, but seems to have glitchesI didn’t used to spend a lot of time playing phone games, but now with Covid I’ve a lot more time on my hands and I’ve ended up playing this game in particular, a few hours each day. I’ve enjoyed it thus far... BUT... some of the daily challenges aren’t registering once I complete them; I’ll run 15,000m or collect 1000 coins, score 1000,000 points (all on Pirate Cove) but none of these daily challenges seem to register once I’ve hit them, so I’m started to get a bit bored just waiting for global challenges to complete..Version: 1.66

✓ Good game, but too much paid contentI’ve been playing this game for a long time (at the very least five years) and although I’ve stopped for periods of time, I always come back. The new maps and characters are always amazing, and the global challenges are great. HOWEVER. There’s always a however. Other people have talked enough about the ads so I’m not going to talk about that. Something that bothers me a lot is that now coins and gems are practically useless besides Head starts and Save mes. Before, you could use coins to buy new characters or outfits and gems to buy new characters and maps. However, now you can only unlock the new characters on special events and you need to purchase the maps with real world money. As I said, I’ve been playing for a long time, so I don’t know if the older characters and maps are still able to be purchased with coins and gems. But Pirate Cove, Volcano Island qnd Enchanted Palace (and its characters) can only be purchased with dollars and I think that’s very unfair. I understand that you guys need to make money, but I would hope that ads, Usain Bolt and people purchasing packages and coin doublers in the store would be enough. There’s no need to block most of your users from obtaining maps and characters, they should be able to be gained by putting hard work into the game and earning coins and gems. ✓ Game freezes on addsI have been playing this game for quite sometime now. Lately however whenever I use the free continue, sometimes it will freeze on the add. The only solution is to reboot the game and lose all of my progress in the process. Also the swipe controlling does not always work as they should. Swipe to jump and it slides. Swipe to go left or right and it will jump. Swipe to jump to get a power up and it won’t do anything. I really like the game but these issues make it very frustrating. A couple of days ago it froze on a pop up add for a baseball game app. It stayed there even after I left your app and went to another. I played a few games on the other game app came back to TempleRun2 and the baseball game app was still there. To get rid of it I had to delete TempleRun2 then reinstall it. By doing so I lost all my data. Extremely disappointing. Please try to fix this issue. Until then I cannot endorse your game..Version: 1.76.2
✓ Bug Lost all of my gemsI have been playing this game for a while now and I really enjoy it. I had gotten around 460 gems and was saving up to buy one of the other maps. All the sudden about two days ago or so every time I tried to open the app it would say that I needed to go to the app store and buy it because it wasn’t shared with me. I had hoped this would just go away but when I tried to open the app today it said the exact same thing. Looking through the comments I saw that other people had the same issue but when they redownloaded everything came back. When I downloaded the app again however, all of my gems and coins were gone with the rest of my data. I am very frustrated because I had been playing for almost two months to get all of the gems and I was so close to being able to buy another map. I don’t know if I have the dedication to play again to get to that point especially if it might just happen again..Version: 1.66.2
✓ No gameplay innovationThe first time through the most recent level I ran for like 15, 20 minutes till it was going to require 3 gems to respawn and I was too bored to do so. I love this game and it’s great and all but after all these years, something needs to change in the game mechanics, not just the visual appearance. I really enjoy switching over to Temple Run Oz sometimes for this reason, moving between the different levels within the game and experiencing different kinds of challenges in each is more fun for me. For example, I like how that game has obstacles that appear out of nowhere, the different kinds of power ups, and the transitional areas in the clouds. It has a really good variety of balancing tasks too and I think that being able move between levels without having to exit your run keeps me on there way longer. The Brave version also had some innovation with the archery segments. I really wish this game would change it up more, there’s so much unmet potential. Sadly once you get the hang of it it’s just sort of meh..Version: 1.50

✓ Frustrated!New updates would be ok but there are so many glitches ruining the game. If I try to jump over an obstacle or to get a power up, half the time it doesn’t work and it just kills my character. Same with the slide feature. I dyy it d prefer the old Home Screen, new one seems to take longer to navigate and find what you need. Also, I’ve attempted the daily challenge with Montana Smith several times and it never shows that I completed the challenges. Graphics were off tonight too. It would show obstacle or something that wasn’t really there and ended up killing off my character. Please fix these issues and glitches. I’ve played this game for years and love it. ✓ Love it but..I have been playing TR and TR2 for years and have always loved it, especially the Lost Jungle world. I thought that particular one was the most beautiful and fun to play, however, when the free trial ended, I figured I liked it enough to buy. 500 gems, okay, how much is that? Open the store and you have 2 options: 240 gems for $20, or 650 for $50. So even if I decided to spend $40 (which I thought was a bit steep) that would still be 20 gems too short. So you HAVE to spend another 10 and get 150 extra gems if you don’t have at least 20 already. Granted, other people might like this but I personally never use gems and that would be a waste for me. Since I have been playing for a few years now I would have enough to purchase 2 bags of 240 and get the world, I’m not spending that much... the principle of it rubbed me the wrong way too. Love the game, but disgruntled by this detail. I don’t mind the original and new desert worlds, but I’ll probably be playing a lot less.Version: 1.46
✓ What a shame.As with Puzzleplodder below, I’m 2.6k daily challenges + well over 151m meters into this game yet sadly in a position of having to put a halt to it due to this update. The issues are well documented throughout recent reviews, e.g. the challenges not registering, the inability to check progress towards them as you run, the “keep running to collect character tokens” towards unlocking characters with absolutely no clue as to how many more you need etc. The lack of response from characters as you attempt to turn, jump or slide is now only surpassed by the lack of response to the reviews by the dev’s. That’s a shame, as TR2 evidently has a large number of loyal fans who will be off elsewhere, no matter how many pets, hats or other irrelevant updates are prioritised over the fundamental update required: revert back to the TR2 that worked!.Version: 1.82.1

If your goal is to make this do unenjoyable to play then take it down. You try to double tap and your player starts hopping along usually to their death. Try to slide or jump, not this time. Not to achieve some ludicrous daily challenge? Nah, the sandbar, vines, or tunnels become almost non existent. Collect 20 power-ups? Here come the chests, totems, and gems. How useless are the totems? By the time you collect enough of them to be of any use (and use is being generous) you’re about done playing. There is so much broken crap in this game, it seems like Imangi went out and hired a bunch of high school kids… sorry, high school kids could do better. ✓ Former greatThis game used to be a brilliant game but now if I want to enjoy it in any way I have to disconnect from the internet as the developers have become greedy and put an ad after every run which makes the game tedious and impossible to enjoy, it is the same with the “classic” version which, in my opinion, is the much better version apart from the updates to have an ad after every run. I have played this game since the original release of temple run and it's now fair to say I will be stopping due to the ads and greed of the developers.Version: 1.66
