Fantastic! But some features are neededI love this app so far. I only wish for any exercise I can just add in a time instead of just some number of reps. Like, for example I'd like the app know I want to do x number of sets of 30 second pushups. I dont want to get rid of the reps feature obviously, but i dont want to rely on it for everything either. Additionally, all this app needs is more variety of exercises. Id love "basketball" to be added, and id love more weight lifting exercises too. Lastly, it would be great to simultaneously add exercises under multiple headings! Sometimes i may forget to include stretches, and currently i would be forced to add dozens of stretching exercises under 1 heading, click on "edit" and drag them onto other headings..Version: 7.2.3

Great appReally pleased with this app. The Apple Watch functionality is excellent with only one omission in my view; it would be great to start a workout on the watch i.e. press play to log the workout into the activity app. This would make is 5 * for me. Additional programmes are VERY steep in my view, but no need to purchase them to make use of the app. Edit: emailed support and got a response in 5 minutes explaining how to start a workout on the watch (you force touch on an exercise and start the timer). Great App - Fantastic Customer SupportI have been using this app for weight training and cardio tracking for nearly three years. It has become my go-to to living log and because previous data is easily accessed the app continually challenges me to push for new PB. There is plenty enough variety to shake up a routine workout anytime. Cloud based back ups are easy. Recently I upgraded iPhones and got stuck transferring data to the new phone - which was my error. Within a few emails support found my oversight and had me up and going again. Their support responses came within minutes of hitting send. Both Functional & StreamlinedI've been looking for the right weight training log for a while, and this is the third one I've tried. It also looks like it's going to be the last. It has everything I needs to log their workout, including cardio and stretches. It also has to chart your progress, and both a countdown timer and a set timer. The interface is intuitive, and streamlined, and it makes keeping track of your routines easy. Great purchase..Version: 7.5

Great app; simple; wish better timerOnly complaint is that I wish the timer would act better (say you can enter a pre-determined amount of time that counts down after your enter your rep info so you can take exact rests for optimum lifts) overall very pleased *Edit - this issue was resolved. Tried them all!I’ve tried several different apps to record gym sessions over the years. With most of them, I’ve spent as much time fiddling with the app as actually exercising! Not now! Both the free and Pro versions give you just what you need to quickly record your workout and then send the data to the iOS Health records. Excellent app! The Pro version is well worth the money. Top notch fitness app!I have been using Fitness Point Pro, and the free version Fitness Point, for about three years and absolutely love it. I only wish I had spent the couple bucks earlier to get the pro version. This app allows complete customization of workouts and exercises so you can track everything accurately and keep progressing. Thats in addition to the already huge library of exercises, with basic graphic of the movement, available to get you going. I workout at multiple gyms, so having different routines and exercises, based on the equipment available or different days of my split is awesome. The developers are always on top of any issues that surface and have created an amazingly user friendly app that has helped me to make gains consistently. Interfacing this app with your iHealth app is a cinch and creates that big picture for you to see how things are working together. I can’t recommend this app highly enough! My ReviewThis is an excellent app! I have used it for five years or more. Many people do not need a trainer but they do need a process to fitness. This is the app for developing your personal fitness regime. The one drawback is the developer does not update the app regularly and it seems as though the developer went from having an excellent fitness app to wanting to receive a subscription fee to align with a common trend. I think that this was a mistake. I would pay $9.99 once to have the developers original plan for the app rather than what it is turned out to be. Although, I say this I still think that this is the best fitness app available and I utilize it to develop my fitness regime and to plan regimens for others. Worth itGreat app, ladies and gents I have been trying every tracking app out there. My fitness pal, avit, workout and at least 10 others. This has a lot of features that as a normal everyday 34 year old male who does regular (5-6) lifts a week needs to track my workouts. Some pros I have found that make this the one I’ll keep. The interface shows my whole workout and I can move between sets; tracks my previous lifts of that exercise so know to bump up the next time to break out of my plateau. There are a couple more i can list but for time I won’t...CONs, to the developer. A better export format would rock, I sometimes don’t take my iPad into the gym but would like to easily print the work out for the day and log it later. The email you get with the work is awkward and a whole page making it a pain. Also a synch with some sort of HR monitor would be great to track cardio or HIIT routines. BEST exercise app for the gym!I’ve been using this app since 2015. I use it every time I’m at the gym! I have over a hundred custom exercises I’ve added myself as well as many custom workouts. It shows you the weight you used previously so you know what you can try for this time. I had issues after their big update, and the support team was fast to respond and fixed all of my issues with their latest update. Amazing!.Version: 7.0.3

Downloaded for Apple Watch. Good but lacks exercises.Downloaded specifically for the Apple Watch support! Which is great by the way, will be much better once WatchOS2 comes out and the app runs natively. Overall the app suffices pretty well. Can create workouts, add reps/weight, view graphs, add exercises, etc. It does lack a lot of exercises when compared to Fitness Buddy though (which is what I was previously using) so that the reason for 4 stars instead of 5. It's good that I can add my own exercises but still annoying at times. However I will stay with this app due to it's Apple Watch support, and regular updates (unlike Fitness Buddy!).Version: 6.1

Easy to useThis app is extremely easy to use. I was able to add my week of workouts in 10 min. I waited a couple of weeks before I reviewed it and the logs are fantastic. Still my go-toI've tried most of the other exercise/workout log apps and this is still my go-to. My recommendation to you is to find an app that looks about right, then look at the version history to see if it's actually updated over a long span of time. If it is, then one can generally assume you won't end up wasting time logging your data into something that won't be supported with future bug and feature updates. In this particular app's case, it's been supported for some time now, and the author actually cares about their users. This is the one for me! (Sidenote- is it me or does the head/face in the app logo look like a boy's head attached to a man's body? Lol. Irrelevant to the apps usability and functionality, just a fun note!) By far the bestHave been big into weight lifting for quite a bit of time and a few years ago now decided to move away from tracking my lifting on pen and paper (transferred to a spreadsheet). Tried quite a few apps until I came across this and it’s a keeper. Not only does it have a decent database and images of exercises (wasn’t that bothered about this but can see why many would find it good), but I can create my own workouts and log them - including weight, sets and reps - in specific dates. Example: Chest day I’ve pulled in four different exercises from the database and have set my target sets and reps. I can record my results for ‘chest day’ and even look at the last time I did said workout to make sure I’m beating the previous..Version: 6.8.6

Great App for Weight LiftingThis app does everything I need to track my workout. I like the features for timing breaks between sets and the customized workouts. I hope future releases will add larger font sizes and a start stop button to go with the between sets timer. I like to be more exact in my set time because I do slow (negative) sets often. Excellent App!I love this app. It has just the right features that I need to log and track my workouts. My only request is that they provide access from multiple devices at some point. AwesomeI’ve been working out regularly for 9 years now. I’ve tried writing down my work outs and using tons of other apps in efforts to record my progress or simply just remember what I did the previous session. I found this app to work the BEST! I don’t lift with out it and it keeps me on track with my goals. I love how many exercises are available to choose from when you want to mix things up. It’s almost compatible with ANY gym. It works seamlessly with my Apple Watch which is another great feature, although I would suggest allowing Garmin devices to input data into the logs Incase some prefer them for running. I personally couldn’t get my cardio activity from my Fenix 5x transferred into my logs which is a bummer since it has a more accurate heart monitor than my Apple Watch, but I still love the app for lifting!!!.Version: 6.8.6

The best workout tracker everI've tried similar workout tracker before but I'm still sticking on this one because of its easy to use. Work very well on my iPhone 6 plus, iPhone 5 and iPad 4th Gen retina. The cloud sync is fine for me. So I grab one of my devices whichever I prefer and hit the gym and continue tracking my progress. There is only one that I'm not happy. I wanna track the calories that I've burned especially in the Cardio section. So addition to add reps and sets, please add the calorie burn section so that I can log on my cardio days. I will give a five star if that happens..Version: 4.4.3

Apple Watch IssueI used to absolutely love this app. I use it every day, sometimes twice, and when I started using on my Apple Watch it was so convenient. Lately though it will crash at least a dozen times per workout, closing the app and making me navigate back to the workout and exercise. Great app, disappointed in feature reduction for Pro usersI am a long-time user who purchased the Pro app. Love both the iPhone app and the Apple Watch version. However one of the Pro features - iCloud backup - was removed and now requires a paid subscription. There doesn’t seem to be a way to at least manually backup your data (even for paid Pro users). If my device gets lost or I upgrade phones - I will lose years worth of data and customizations unless I pay for a subscription. While I get the developer’s need to evolve his business model - I wish there was a solution for Pro users who previously paid to access a cloud backup feature. The Strong app also switched to a subscription model - but people who previously supported the Strong app are given the ability to restore their purchase. Even a simple manual import/export system just for existing paid Pro users would be most welcome..Version: 7.0.4

Love ItThis app has greatly improved my record keeping over my past log sheet. It allows me to customize my workouts for my powerlifting program and add/create any lifts I need. The measurements feature has me taking monthly measurements which I haven't ever done before. The timer keeps my workouts on schedule, and the alarm will interrupt my music to keep me on task. Keeping on trackThis app is one of the best on the market. I initially questioned the application’s ability to add your own exercises and added this to my initial review. The developer responded very quickly to this issue and pointed me to the right area to add my own exercises. The only issue I still have is that the application enables you to superset however it treats supersets and trisets as the same thing when they’re not. It also needs to only commence set rest period at end of superset/trivet, not as you are entering details for the sets. This is only minor glitch to a very good program. Best app for real weight liftersI've looked all over the App Store and unfortunately even bought a fair amount of apps trying to get what I needed: an app that integrates with the Watch, tracks my workouts, lets me customise exercises, reps and sets of reps, and doesn't look like a radioactive lab. Great workout tracking appI have enjoyed using this app greatly. Way better than the pencil and paper I was using to track my workouts. Only a couple things I would recommend for improvement. It would be beneficial if this app had a 1 Rep Max calculator. I also believe there should be a place to keep track of your max for each workout. I tried writing my max in the notes section, but once I believe it has saved my notes I cannot find them again anywhere in the app..Version: 6.8.1

Why do we need two different paid apps for different genders in 2018?I’ve been using this app for a really long time. I love this app because it monitors all my workouts and allows me to tap for weights, rather than attempting to remember paper. I also love that it shows me the whole workload for the day and body systems hit. For some reason, another lifter just notified me of a female version? So now I’m a bit frustrated. I genuinely thought “maybe I could toggle this setting” since paying for another app so I could see a female silhouette in my logs seems ridiculous. Just what I was looking for, but wish I could syncI’ve been using the Pro ($3.99) version without a subscription for about a month now and it is just what I was looking for: a simple clean way to keep track of workouts. You can create your own workouts and then include exercises into those workouts. This version comes with a good selection of exercises and you can add others. It only has one or two preloaded workouts, but more preloaded exercises and workouts are included with a paid subscription. Customer support is great too: I had a question about a feature and the app designer put together and mailed me a short video explaining it. My only complaint is that I would like to sync between my iPad and iPhone, and I think the only way to do that is get iCloud backup and that requires paying for a subscription..Version: 7.0.4

Updates have been well thought out and I have seen it become progressively more functional over the year(s?) that I have been using it. Complication missingAmazing app with incredible manual control. It’s best trait is the ability to track your workout seamlessly from your watch alone. The only reason why I give it 4 stars is because the complication for the Apple Watch is missing. If the developers include this I will update this as it will make it even more accessible to launch from the main screen. Edit: Apparently this is a bug you can get the complication from the Apple Watch menu and not the phone. App is perfect!!! Customer service took 30 minutes to reply to me. Best gym log on the marketI have experimented with countless gym log apps over the years, and this one has stood the test of time. Super clean and organized design. It’s easy to create different routines, for example, say you want your normal split, a stand alone ab workout, and one that’s just dedicated to one rep max testing. They are all individual routines you go into and then you have the split breakdown within it. This app isn’t going to charge you some stupid subscription and is completely worth its weight in gold..Version: 7.6.13

Best for what it doesn’t AdvertiseI’ve been using Fitness Point Expert for at least year, and use it 5-6 times a week. I tried a couple other apps, but I couldn’t find one that does what Fitness Point does/allows. I needed an app that allows complete customization of workouts and exercises. I can build my own workouts and add my own exercises, which is the best unadvertised part of this app. Seated cable row as an example, I use the default exercise but I also need one specifically to track a wide grip seated cable row. You can also add exercises not in the exercise catalogue, face pulls, lean away cable side lat raises.... And with expert, using the web access makes it so much easier to build and customize exercises and workouts..Version: 7.6.3

This app is everythingLook I’m not the txt to write reviews but this app truly is something special it’s me keep up with my work outs and it’s also available on the Apple Watch. The only thing I can say wrong is when I update or add new work outs to the Apple sometimes it won’t add it to the app on the phone. However when you are working and completing reps and sets it logs it perfect on the watch and the phone. And it shows how many calories you burnt at the end of your workout bottom line you should definitely get this app..Version: 6.8.1

Moving On.I tried the initial app, then Purchased the pro version many years ago. This used to be my daily go to app. I could easily use it on my phone, or on my Apple Watch. I could also sync my workouts on my iPad, create new workouts on the iPad, and transfer them to the iPhone via the cloud. All of that ease of use went away with following app upgrades. I’ve lost all of my workouts, even what was backed up to iCloud. Even though I purchased the app, now I need to check out a subscription if I want the “pro” features, and giving the developer and endless revenue stream for features that never seem to come. Syncing with the Apple Watch becomes unstable, and I get an error message. Using the share feature from the iPad becomes unstable and it crashes the iPad. This is a great example of “should’ve left well enough alone.” Moving on..Version: 7.6.11
