✓ Great app that’s great for creating memoriesHeard about this app from a friend on Facebook who used it to document there family trip to Europe. It just happened we were on our way travelling to India. I loved the concept of the app. I downloaded the app at Hong Kong airport whilst in transit and within minutes was creating a 1SE video journal of our trip. I created other seperate projects - the food we ate, the doorman at the hotels, my wife ( waving to camera each day) I have now gifted copies of the app to some family and friends as. Kris Kringle /Christmas present . Great app for creating memories of our recent trip and I can see lots more events when I can use the app ..Version: 2.1.5
✓ 2020 GoalsMy New Years resolution was to use this app to make an entire video of 2020. I have seen this app in the past on the App Store, but could never justify paying for it. I believe it used to be $1.99 back then. I think looking back that was a pretty generous price for what this app offers. Even the non-premium version has plenty of useful features without having to upgrade. I love ❤️ the ability to add your Live Photo’s to your memories for each day out of the month for that added level of immersion. The auto-fill feature makes it completely effortless to add your memories for that particular day automatically, and it backs up and syncs with your iCloud Photo Library in the background which is super handy. In the 2 short months I’ve used this app to log 2020, it comes highly recommended. Don’t just take my word for it, try it yourself. ✓ MY Favorite App Of All Time, hands downAs a super busy mom, teacher and person who tries to live each day to the fullest, it is often so hard to not feel that everything is a complete blur. I am a past scrapbooker and avid photo taker, but where is there time for all of that? There isn’t! When I found OneSecondEveryday it was like MAGIC! I can DO this. And especially when I discovered that because of Live Photo on my iPhone, SOOO many of my still photos were already little mini video snippets!! In the three years that I’ve been storing my one seconds, my TEENAGE kids have already changed so much. ✓ Love but needs some workI love this app. I’ve tried many other apps for second a day video diaries but this one has so many more features than just video. Photos, mood etc. The only issue I have is that when I try to exit the camera part of the application it freezes and the app closes itself. I don’t know why this happens. ✓ Amazing and creative idea!I don’t normally bother reviewing apps, but this is hands down one of the best apps out there! The free version allows you to upload a video of one second per day, and add notes, almost like a diary entry. The app will also fill in videos for you (using dates from your camera roll) if you wish! It then puts the clips into a short video which jogs so many memories that it will have you both laughing and crying at the same time! A great app overall, well done :).Version: 3.4

✓ Best DecisionI never ever write reviews, but this is the best app! I have tried for years to document my life in some way from journaling to trying to take a daily picture. However theres something so amazing about a quick second video of that day, and with that second you instantly are able to remember what you were doing on that day, and why it was so important that you recorded it. ✓ I Love This!I initially bought this app about 4 years ago for £5. It wasn’t too much to stop anyone purchasing it, and it was worth every penny! Due to an upgrade of my phone I had to subscribe to keep the same benefits I had before, but again it’s SO worth it. Living in the moment is often difficult, but this app has made even normal days special. Watching children grow, and remembering moments that might have been forgotten is beyond priceless. I love all the variety of types of video mashups you can do and the journal feature and emotion feature, there could be more emoji emotions that could be chosen but that is just a small thing. I really thought £4.99 was quite a lot but WORTH IT AND I AM STINGY AF. If you are considering whether to get this or not BUY IT you will NOT REGRET IT. Even the small videos help remind you what you did that day and jogs your memory for the entire day and helps you remember the little moments. Love how you can do more than 1 second (1.5) or 2 clips in one day because sometimes you do two cool things in one day!! And then chose your favourite or have both!!! ✓ Please add this in next updateI really enjoy this app as it is a good way to encourage you to capture the year and really enjoy it but I recently got a new phone and my video didn’t Carey over. Even when I signed in the is just not there and I personally don’t want to have to individually shift each and every video over. When you sign in that should be it the videos should be there. It is the same account and everything. ✓ Great app and great support team!I’ve been using 1Sec for about 2 years now and love it, but over the last 6 months had been experiencing issues with app crashes almost every time I tried to upload a video. I reached out to the customer service team and can’t fault them. Working with the customer rep and the developers we were able to figure out why the app was crashing on me so much, and after a quick update my app is back to running as it should be! If you experience any problems just give them a shout. ✓ A decade speaks volumes to my recommendationI’ve been using this app since it first launched so I have now been recording 1 second everyday for over a decade. I love it and can’t recommend it enough, I love being able to watch my kids grow and change, life change… so many forgotten moments come back to life when you watch it back and unlike with photos with this video you hear laughing or singing or just the rain falling down etc you can really catch those little moments in action. A one second clip may sound like a small amount of time and you may wonder if there is any point… there definitely is, it shows a surprising amount in a 1 sec snippet but the pace of change when it’s mashed together and you’re watching it back means no matter what you record it’s never boring it keeps you hooked every second (literally) I’m a pro user… and honestly I never pay for apps… except this one! I now, since it’s introduction in a update a while back also use the freestyle option for holiday videos or special occasions etc as well as the “daily diary” because it’s very easy and simple to use and does exactly what I want (I’m not a tec savvy person so that’s great for me) It really is a brilliant app that I highly recommend! ✓ I’ve used this app everyday for almost 3 years and don’t plan on stoppingI heard about 1SE on a podcast in 2017 and was intrigued - I’ve always wanted to keep a journal but never had the stamina and would burn out quickly. 1SE makes a version this journaling of this possible! I also use the “freestyle” mode to document concerts, vacations, and other unique experiences. My family loves getting those video “mashes”, because they say so much more than photos of the same events would. Watching my videos reminds me of the small, everyday details too that are just as special in their own way. I got the pro subscription just recently, not necessarily because any of the additional features jumped at me, but because this product has been consistently useful, reliable, entertaining, and otherwise part of my life for a relatively long time - I’m quite proud to support this app and show it off as often as I can! That being said, my other main draw to the pro was to have unlimited backup of all my snippets - I’ve been going at this for a long enough time that I would be very sad to lose everything. My one critique is that sometimes when the app mashes long videos, on the order of the last year of snippets or so, the audio will sometimes get out of sync with the video. This is a small bug that I’m sure can be or already has been addressed (just updated my app yesterday). Keep up the good work, y’all!.Version: 3.5.5

✓ Best few quid I ever spent!My 11 year old son said to me the other day “is that you telling someone else that 1SE is the best few quid you ever spent?! I didn’t realise how much I’ve been promoting it but yes it’s true. I only started at the beginning of the year but I love capturing moments, especially those I spend away from my family at work so they can see a bit of the cities I visit without them. My therapist recommended it to me as a digital diary and It’s been a really useful tool in my working on and keeping track on my mood. Although with the new update, all my data that I’d logged using the emoji mood rater feature is all gone thanks to the new update. Please please bring back that option again! It was so helpful, and now I have to start monitoring my mood from scratch again because of this new update. Which if I’m being honest, is really not the best. I love being able to watch my year go by and relive small moments that may otherwise have been forgotten. ✓ Favorite app on my phoneI’ve done 1SE everyday for almost three years. The first year i started one year before our wedding and set it to music and got a projection screen and debuted it to my then fiancé and all our friends the night before our wedding at our rehearsal dinner. The second year i got pregnant. Now I’m almost done with the third year featuring our six month old baby! It’s such a fun thing to have, all our friends know we do it and when we hang out ask if they’ll make it in the second of the day. ✓ Really great app - and some suggestionsThis app makes it so easy to create a really great memory video, for those of us that video editing is out of reach, but enjoy looking through more than just photographs. My biggest complaint is he amount of space this takes up on my phone - my 2017 video was almost 2gb, with my constantly having to delete other things on my phone throughout the year to make room for another snippet. Syncing this with Dropbox or iCloud would be great, since you would only need the videos when compiling (although the same thing happened when I compiled.. had to delete half of my apps to make room for the final video). Also I think having the option to change the font of the date would be a simple addition that adds a bit more customizibility to the video. Overall, I'm going to keep doing this in 2018, so it is a solid app, but I don't know how my puny 16gb iPhone is going to handle it (I've already deleted 2017 project to make additional space)..Version: 2.0.3

I use it for documenting every day of my year, but I also love using it to document trips and experiences for social media sharing (Tiktoks/Reels). The interface makes it so easy to select film clips you took that day and put those moments into a storytelling video! Looking back at a story (especially a year-long view of your life) really shares your highs, lows, and how far you’ve come. ✓ Umm???Ok so let me tell you: I LOVE this app. I use it everyday to take videos of my friends and can’t wait to see how it all turns out at the end of the year. All of my friends want to be in my one second each day, and they have fun deciding on what to do in the second that they have. But recently, something has been different. I’m unable to take a long video, and then chop it down into a second. Rather, the app takes a random portion of the video and puts it in, and it doesn’t let me choose the part of the video that I want. Maybe there’s a step I’m missing or a button I’m supposed to push? But I never had to do anything before and it would just let me do what I had to do to the video. If chopping the video has become a premium thing, I am more than disappointed. And so, even though I love this app and the idea behind it, I cannot give it a full 5 stars. Now when trying to take a 1sec video you have to click on the certain day and go through other various steps just to get to the camera, where as before on the main page in the corner was the camera button. ✓ Unaffected by what others are complaining aboutOne of the coolest things about this app they don’t advertise is that the “Live Photo” capability of the iPhone finally comes in handy for something. Every one of those is about a second, so any photo you already have in your phone can become part of a video. It’s cool to see your day-to-day photos turned into live footage, I guess. Many of these reviews complain about a march update that took away features, which confuses me because I didn’t even notice and I’ve been a near-daily user since January. I broke my phone in April and was so bummed to lose the seconds I’d taken since then that I recently upgraded to monthly pro. If people are mad they get only one snippet a day, they can always spend the dollar a week it would cost to get more snippets or even use the freestyle capability. I do dislike the orientation of video since I rarely shoot horizontally but other than that, I enjoy this app completely and it’s one of the few I will pay for..Version: 3.1.2
✓ LockdownerI’ve had this app a year now & its one of the best apps about. As I write this, the country is in Lockdown due to the Coronavirus, so this is of even more importance. I am keeping a daily log of the major things currently happening such as Clap for Carers, the small things that spark joy on my one allowed exercise on my daily walk, government announcements etc... This will be fascinating to look back on in the future. ✓ Great app, inflexible pricingWe started doing this one second a day stuff with my son when he was born. He got very ill at a few weeks old and we kept at it, and now he’s fully recovered and those videos have been such catharsis, watching the period of time he was unwell gradually get shorter and shorter as more happy days take its place. However, I’d quite happily pay £2.99 a month or something for this but it only has the £49 yearly price option which I’m not up for doing. Is there anyway to make the photos go for 1.5 seconds? All my videos I usually put on for 1.5 sec. and when it’s bouncing between 1 and 1.5 seconds it kinda messes with the eyes. ✓ Best app ever! On 4th yearI came across this app after seeing the movie 'chef' I immediately fell in love with the concept and downloaded it in time for NYE. ✓ Love it but new version crashesBeen using this app since November, and so far it has been, without a doubt, worth the purchase. Even the days you think are boring end up contributing some critical component to your overall video—it is those simpler one second clips (such as lying in bed, or picking up a cup of tea) that really make the extraordinary clips stand out. Just a small thing that I’m sure will be fixed, but for now is an issue: I updated to the new version today and whenever I try to record a clip using the app, it’s crashes. ✓ Great App, Two DrawbacksI love this app so far! It serves as great a reminder to pause and reflect on the beautiful little moments in your life. My goal is to upload and write an entry each day in 2019. There are only two things that I wish it could do: 1) use in Portrait (upright) setting vs only in Landscape (sideways). I have small hands and never type using both hands on the full keyboard on my iPhone XS. It’s very unnatural and clunky and I end up making a lot of typos that autocorrect doesn’t seem to catch. It makes for constant editing and means it takes much longer to write a quick entry than it should. It’s frustrating. 2) I would love the ability to set a simple notification to be sent at a specific time each day to remind you to upload a picture and jot down an entry. ✓ Wonderful app… but…I adore this app for keeping memories of our family going and seeing how my kids grow and change over time. I turn push notifications off for pretty much everything and as a result have forgotten to keep up with this for months. Now I don’t have a full year of content to add in because everything before October is stored in Google Photos. What I love most is that you choose the part of your day you want to post and you can put live pictures which is amazing. I downloaded this because of a girl on TikTok who said she has used this app for seven years, I started January 1st and I’ve been in love ever since. The only down side is you have to pay after a year, but tbh atm I’m hooked so I’m down to pay a small fee as of right now. ✓ Great way to record memories!I’ve been using this app for almost 10 years and it’s been an amazing experience being able to record and look back on every day of my life! Only one thing I would change, is in the “rewind” section which shows photos and snippets from this day on previous years, I wish it included all projects, not just the current one! As someone who has a new project for each year, I can’t easily look back on my snippets from this day for each year without having to go into each project manually. ✓ I really want to give 5 starsThis app is extremely well made. Very easy to use and intuitive. Must for every family. I would give it five stars and pay the annual fee if they integrate it with Google photos. I back up all my photos to hear and if I was to remove a bunch of photos from my phone without doing this app first I’ve lost the ability to add them in easily without having to go to Google photos and download the one I want individually. ✓ Great app can’t wait for new featuresI love this app. I’m using it to document my year and I love mashing a video at the end of each month to remember everything I’ve done. I really really hope there are some improvements to music in upcoming releases though. Some of the tracks are great but with longer projects they’re not long enough and on shorter projects it fades out awkwardly. However, my most recent issue is that some of my days keep deleting themselves? Like I will fill out 3 days in April and it will delete itself when I close the app. I know this doesn’t mean that the app is “full” because after the 3rd the uploads go back to normal. It’s like the app doesn’t want me to continue my streak (this is bare in mind I have 456days full of it.) These constant updates do not help. ✓ My favourite appEveryone should get this app there’s no downside! I saw my friend using it and was hooked by the concept. I can’t say I’m perfect at keeping up with it I definitely missed a lot of days but I don’t mind. ✓ I enjoy it but it definitely has drawbacks...Firstly, I don’t regret buying this app, but the “one second” every day concept is a bit...limited now. This app allows you to increase individual snippets to 1.5 seconds, and you can choose up to two per day. However, there have been many, MANY days when I wished I could add more, slightly longer snippets. At times, I’ve even added snippets from certain days to the WRONG day just so I could have that moment in the compilation, and the inability to remove the date stamp means I’m just lying to everyone. Ultimately, I just end up wishing I had complete control. I would have paid more for the app with the promise of a limitless snippet composer, honestly. Secondly, I personally do not take issue with the location and font of the date stamp, but if I did, I would probably not use the app at all, and this review would be very very different. So please allow people more options there. Lastly, any real video editing software is effectively nonexistent. Thank you for fixing the issues with orientation etc. that you have already, but honestly why can people not put their videos to music? Why can I not add any effects whatsoever within the app itself? It’s just...disappointing. I love the idea behind this app, and the motivation of the person who created it, but...all that innovative creativity has really come to a standstill. ✓ One of the best ways to retain your memoriesI’ve taken out a subscription to the PRO version of this app, because I love the extra features this offers, but saying that the standard version does allow a very workable version if you don’t want to splash out. Love the way the ‘live’ photos of an iPhone are made into a mini film by the app and you can adjust the duration of each snippet at 1 second, 1.5 seconds and with PRO version 2, 2.5 or 3 seconds. Would be nice if a standard image could be longer, if desired, than 1 second. All in all a good app with excellent technical support, if needed..Version: 2.2.1

✓ Great memoriesLove this app! Only recently downloaded it to co-inside with the birth of my daughter and have used it to add something on everyday since she has been born, even added in some bits from through my pregnancy! Overall it’s so far made a beautiful video of little snippets of her life, love picking each day what to add on! I tent to use my Live Photo’s to get the 3second video, (I’m a paying pro user) rather than having To film videos all the time using up storage on my phone. But the Live Photo’s work a treat! My only wish is that sometimes i am wanting to add on photos that aren’t live and wish there was an option to make them stay on the screen during the video for longer than one second....so having the possibility to make them 1-3seconds also would be awesome!.Version: 3.3.1

✓ Rebuying your already purchased content.1 Second Everyday has been a really awesome part of my year. It’s allowed me to document my last months in high school, my relaxing and fun filled summer vacation, and the exciting new experiences I’ve had during my first semester of college. When I bought the app (almost exactly a year ago), it was somewhere between 5-10 dollars... I don’t remember the price exactly. However, what I do remember was thinking to myself, “this will be a worthwhile investment.” Up until this point in time, this thought had been true. But with the release of 1se’s pro-subscription content, comes the restriction of loads of features that came readily available with the original purchase of the app. You can no longer add two clips to a given day, or make a clip longer than 1 second. I know this complaint seems small, but it’s completely changed the way I experience this application that I already payed for. I still think this experience was worth the original investment, but I’m not going to pay more to use features that were already available to me. I’m just not going to use 1se again. At first, I used it as a kind of extension of a social media vanity, and only included "cool things for the likes" in my video. But the more I've created, the more I realised that the scene of an average dinner scene, or logs burning in the chiminea, are just as (if not more) precious a memories. Have been using it all the time and I loved it, it’s a really good app had really good features for example you were able to add up to 10 seconds of content. ✓ Fab app... not biggest fan of new update!I’ve been using 1SE for around 2 years now... it’s become a huge part of my day-to-day life, and am hugely thankful to the megamind(s) who came up with the original concept- hats off to you!! The only problem I have with it, however, and the sole reason for a 4 star review (when it really deserves 5!), is the latest update! It used to be super simple and easy to navigate round, whereas now it feels cluttered and confused. I never usually review apps, but 1SE is something I use so frequently, it would be such a shame if the whole experience was tainted by a slightly chaotic layout. I realise that a lot of time and effort has gone into the making of the new update, but if there was any way to revert to the old format, or even include the option to use the app horizontally again, that would be hugely appreciated! I have tried other types of photo/video projects in the past, but I always end up losing steam, get behind, get overwhelmed, and eventually give up. This app has changed that completely! I started my first 1SE project on January 1, 2020, with NO idea what the year had in store. The year felt long, sad, scary... but at the end of 2020, watching my 6 minute video of my memories and experiences through the year, really helped me appreciate the little things and remember the simple, good moments in the past year. It’s so simple and easy to do. All you have to do is remember, and make a habit to take at least a photo or short snippet of video each day. The app interface makes it SO quick and easy to add your clips, catch up if you get behind, and wrap your final video. I believe I have been so successful in making this work because the app is so seamless and easy to use. So many family and friends have really enjoyed my 2020 video and are now making their own. I am continuing this year, and hope to do this for many more years to come! I’m also thinking about starting some other types of video projects using this app- it’s just so fun and easy. I’m kicking myself for having downloaded it years ago when my son was born and not keeping up with it. However, it’s VERY easy to go back. The paid version is completely worth it and I have used it month by month this year (2020, it’s May) and have even started to go back and fill in some videos from previous years. I LOVE it. I love documenting my kids and this app is everything I could want. I love the different projects feature and have one for each family member along with my continuous snippets for my timeline. I do wish I could access it on my computer, but since all my videos are on my phone anyways I really don’t mind that as much. I really love it though. I watch my little videos way more than I should probably admit. But that’s how much I love it..Version: 3.4.5

I’ve used the app since my son was 3; He is now almost 11 and I have managed to do a video from every birthday to his next. He literally wakes up on his birthday, every year, and says mom have you finished my 1 second video? I compile the entire year for him and he loves it. Everyone loves it, it’s a family tradition and I am so grateful for the intuitive updates you’ve made each and every year. This is the kind of time capsule my son will have his entire life (well at least till he goes to college lol). I go back and watch his 3rd year of life video or his 5th year of life video all the time. Thank you for creating a tool that is literally part of the fabric of my family and will last a lifetime. ✓ Moving snippets around easilyHi there! Would love if you could easily move a 1 sec snippet from one day to another. I’ve got a long project where the days have got muddled (my fault, not the app’s), and not being able to easily shuffle the clips across has made the edit really difficult. I’ve also got 1 sec clips mastered onto a project and then I’ve deleted the raw videos, but would like to use the 1 sec clips in another project, so again, being able to drop 1 sec clips from one project to another would also be great!.Version: 2.0.11
✓ I love it but…I’ve used 1SE since jan 1st this year and have so far done 157 days! I love looking back at my memories and it serves a great memory tool. I used to love getting a new app icon every month or so and have recently hit the 150 mark which (i’m pretty sure) should mean a new icon but they won’t appear! I scroll down and it just shows a blank screen! I know in the grand scheme of things, it’s a pretty minor issue and I will continue to use it. But to me, it’s what made 1SE different to it’s competitors. So if it isn’t fixed, don’t count on me to stay forever..Version: 4.7.14
✓ Terrific App But Still Lacks 4K supportI’ve being using the pro version of 1SE since it’s initial release 9 years ago. It is by far the best app if you’re looking to create one second everyday videos. It’s only flaw is that exported videos are reduced in quality to 1080p, 4K is not supported. This is a significant flaw given you want this style of movie to be as timeless as possible. This feature has been requested on the support forums for years, but appears another few years away as the 1SE team search for an ‘economical’ solution..Version: 4.6.1
