VSCO went downhillEver since they updated the interface, VSCO just hasn’t been the same. I used to be able to import photos to the drafts area even if they weren’t edited yet! This was so convenient because I could import all the photos I wanted to eventually edit and post, and could come back to it when I had time to continue working on those photos. Now pictures only go into drafts once they have been edited.. And going back and forth between the “camera roll” tab and the “drafts” tab is even more frustrating because every time you go back to the “camera roll” tab, it doesn’t save your space, it just takes you back to the beginning of your camera roll! So I can’t import a group of pictures that I want to work on, and every time I want to retrieve a new picture from my camera roll I have to scroll through and find it every time. Infuriating !!!! Makes me not want to use VSCO to edit pictures anymore because of the immense amount of effort it requires now :( Very unfortunate and I hope they do something to fix this..Version: 200.0

VSCO update 2019Favourite editing app!! In a next update please have a way to have all your photos on an account instead of having no photos when you use a different device... and leave photos on when you delete app.Version: 121.0

DisappointingIt is so ridiculous how you had a perfect user-friendly app and ruined it all with one update. Editing and adding photos to the drafts is so clunky, it makes the whole thing close to unusable. While having the OPTION of saving the edits over the originals might be useful for some, the update ruined the whole experience for me. I really hope developers will listen to the users’ feedback and revert back to common sense that this app was..Version: 199.1

BRING THE OLD VSCO BACK PLSI love vsco so much but im sure MOST people (a lot of people) use vsco to edit and lay out their instagram feed/theme and preview it! It was much easier because it was exactly the same !! Now its so spaced out and all my squared photos arent square so i need to slowly crop them again >_< please GIVE US THE OPTION to have a different viewing layout like spaced out/squared/natural etc thank you so much🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼.Version: 5.0.5

Hate update from a while agoI loved vsco but I hate the storing now because it all goes to my camera roll but that just takes up more storage I like to keep my pictures I take on vsco on vsco and the only way I can keep them if I delete it from my camera roll is if I post it but I don’t post every picture I take I like to just mess around with some of mine that I don’t want everyone to see. Please fix this so many people have complained about it and still it hasn’t been fixed I about want to use a new app but. I think you guys should also add the feature to make our vsco account private. Another thing that irritates me is that if I delete my vsco or something happens or say I got a new phone when I download vsco again all my old photos will be gone and yes I know I can save them to my camera roll to back them up but I hate having my vsco pictures on my camera roll I got vsco so my friends could see my fun pictures that I edit I don’t want to have to save my vsco pictures to my camera roll or another app it’s just better to have them on there. Please fix this it’s getting a little annoying and infuriating. I would prefer to not have to switch to another editing app when you guys can just switch it back to the original version you had it..Version: 119.0

Please go back to the old layoutI think y’all messed up... It is extremely annoying that I can no longer edit photos in the app and save to camera roll. Many times I want to apply multiple different filter to a photo and save both copies, (one in normal and on black and white etc.). Due to now the app modifying the photo in the camera roll I can no longer do this; even when I duplicate the photo in my camera roll. The old layout was much better and a lot less time wasting in my opinion.Version: 196.1

I used to be such a big fan but newest update just isn’t it ://I’ve NEVER written an app review but i am seriously so disappointed :,( i’ve been using vsco since it was “vsco cam” & the whole social aspect of the app was not around yet. with the app’s growth in social aspect & popularity i’ve continued using & even paid for a vsco membership for 2 years. unfortunately, the newest update makes the app so unusable that i’ve already cancelled my subscription & stopped trying to struggle through continued use. the inability to upload multiple photos into drafts is beyond inconvenient. many of my other favorite features like copying edits to paste onto other images have also become extremely tedious to navigate. this is not a matter of begrudgingly learning to use an updated app due to bias to what i’d already known; rather, too much of my go-to uses of vsco are simply no longer worth the hassle of completing according to the new formatting. as a longtime fan and user of vsco, it is not easy for me to turn my back on it, but i honestly would no longer recommend this app to anyone..Version: 198.1

Fix bugs before releasing a new update!!!Hey girlies of vsco ive been a massive fan of this app for 4 years and ive even paid for vscox but i cant help but despise all of these unecessary and buggy updates! ever heard of the acronym: KISS? well it stands for Keep It Simple, Stupid - maybe look it up before you turn this app into something so much more complicated than a photo editing app. like this new update for example: i cant upload multiple photos from my camera roll to the new “drafts” file without having to manually import it from my photos app which btw rotates the thumbail 90 degrees when importing it into the drafts. also the whole camera roll and drafts tab is so fudging useless like sis this isnt tiktok 🥴🥴 idk maybe get rid of the montages button?? who even uses montages like fr?? ive tried to use the montages feature but on god its the most pointless thing its not as flexible as other video/collaging apps. and i swear u guys switched the placements of the buttons (edit and montage buttons) when im wanting to edit a pic its like instagram with their like button - its simple muscle memory, leave it where it was!!! when im finished editing pics and save it to my camera roll - first of all it doesnt even save it to my camera roll i would have to do it twice and secondly, one time the photo looked glitchy and had a whole white line going across it. idk the update looks nice but yall just made it so much more complicated that it needs to b like just keep it simple is all im asking for yk?? anyway thanks for listening to my ted talk x.Version: 194.0

Disappointing updateI’ve used and loved vsco religiously since the days of the old app and am a vsco x subscriber. I know this probably won’t be read or changed back, but I’m really, really disappointed with the new layout. I usually throw a bunch of photos into vsco, edit some of them, then save the ones that come out the best. I reeeeeally don’t like having to edit right from my camera roll then save as a draft if I don’t want to save it back to my camera roll. I do so much comparison and tweaking in the app before I save the ones I love, and this new workflow is not conducive to that at all. I also absolutely hate that copying and pasting filters overrides the photo in my camera roll — who in the world would want to do that?? Overall, this is just mega disappointing. I’m really tired of companies fixing things that aren’t broken and not listening to consumers, so hopefully you hear my two cents. Thanks for making an app I’ve loved for many, many years. I would hate to abandon it now, but the workflow is not sustainable for me in it’s current state. Edit: copy-pasting the same response on everyone’s review is not a good look...😒.Version: 195.1

RevertPlease the new photo editing is so bad it’s so much harder to organize there was need to update it. turn it back please :(.Version: 196.1

Very frustrated trying to log inI have paid for a subscription and I am trying to log in on my iPad. When I enter my password it says my profile is invalid. So I tried to sign up and it says that my profile is already connected to my account, which I can’t access because it says that I have an invalid profile! Would like to contact the developer but the website address is also invalid. Not very happy I have wasted a lot of time and money and there doesn’t appear to be any way to connect any support to sort the issue apart from voicing my concerns on this platform..Version: 89.0

Well...I would say that it is actually a really good app to be able to edit all photos. However, i wish wish wish it had the feature where if u was to change to another device or u lost your phone and had pictures saved in editing mode but not on your camera roll (to save space for later or because u lost your phone like me😕). I say this because i went out on a trip and had a great shoot and i was editing them but they weren't saved nor posted on vsco because there was no wifi and therefore i had to wait till i got home but before i got home i had lost my phone and if i wanted to redownload the app on another device i will not my find my work in progress there which is so sad. I hope they enable this feature soon because i really like this app. In terms of vsco editing for videos it should at least be free like the photo editing but if they wanted profit they could enable some filters and some features to be paid for if they wanted to, so as a business i think they should think about the customers too not just their profit margin and co. Its still a really good app so dont feel too discouraged by what i said :).Version: 125.0

Im the review your looking forAre y'all vsco girls or something?.Version: 126.0

Disappointed.Loved VSCO and spent a few £££ on filters that no longer are available to me because of the new yearly subscription. First off, the main reason a lot of people were drawn to this app was because of its versatility, you could still edit amazing looking photos with no yearly cost and the choice to purchase filters depending on your aesthetics. I won’t be the first to think that VSCO have put their existing customers off from buying a yearly subscription and if anything, should have made it optional to buy individual filters AND/or a yearly subscription. I don’t want to pay £28 a year to use the same two-three filters. Change it..Version: 113.0

Poor raw processing and lack of uncompressed outputThe whole point of using this app is starting with a raw file. However if you take a raw image and process it with this app you will notice that the result is garbage: lack of fine detail, lots of digital looking noise and artifacts and what’s worse, muddy and plastic looking textures. If you compare 1:1 scale results with snapseed, Lr mobile and other free apps you’ll be able to quick tell because the difference is pretty. You cannot even export a tiff image or any other uncompressed format which is ridiculous given the subscription price. I applied and been denied at refund withing the 14 days trial period..Version: 143.1

VscoGreat now there’s vsco girls.Version: 136.0

New update. 👎🏻This new update is horrible, everything was so simple to use before and they just made it more complicated. I don’t like that it also edits the original pictures in my camera roll and that when it does that I cant even take the filtering off if I don’t like it. I wish they would bring it back to the old layout everything was much simpler and easy to navigate..Version: 196.1

Upload errorIt appears I can no longer add a photo from my camera roll, only take photos in the app. Is this right?.Version: 200.0

Was amazing.... not anymoreLoved vsco before the new update. Can’t pick multiple photos to put into my drafts and have to edit straight from camera roll, it’s awful..Version: 196.1

Thanks for stealing my moneyTried the “free” app and forgot to cancel the YEARLY subscription auto payment in time. Yes, ultimately my fault for not unsubscribing before the cut off but would have been nice to have had an email reminding me/asking me “hey, are you liking the app? If not, don’t forget to cancel otherwise you’ll be charged $30 for a useless app you’ll never use.” Another alternative might that the default is to CANCEL unless you actively want to sign up for a whole year. I get that you need to make money from your app, totally fine with this but you need to do so ethically. I suspect this underhanded-hope they forget to cancel-tactic is part of your business model so I won’t bother asking for a refund..Version: 62.1

Hate the new updateThis app is one of my favourite apps for editing however since the new update I’m really starting to dislike which is a shame because I really do love this app! The new update doesn’t allow you to upload photos and edit them at a later date you have to scroll through your camera roll to find the pictures you want and that tends to glitch out a lot and make my photos disappear! Please bring back the older setup I want to be able to enjoy editing my picture again!.Version: 196.1

Don’t know what happened, long time userI’ve used this app for a very long time to edit some photos. however with the recent updates, the app is super slow and takes a long time to import and even show the photos in my gallery. not only that but every time i start to edit, the app will always crash. this is super annoying. this only used to happened when i used the straightening tool, but now it’s happening so often. i love vsco but with this happening it’s really changing my opinion about the app..Version: 35.1

Update sucksHate the new update. Can’t import photos without editing them one by one..Version: 199.0

Trash appWhat a trash application! I’m stuck with it’s ridiculous subscriptions so that I can’t change to another country’s store. And App Store doesn’t allow to terminate the contract earlier. I don’t recommend to is this app. It’s a trap..Version: 131.1

Good appIt was my favourite app, up until new updates. It really deserves 5stars, but recently it became quite a task to edit with it. I used to was able to add multiple photos and they got saved in the studio, and I could access them later. Now it is a pain, because I can add one image and when it is edited, I need to choose whether I want to save edits in my phone’s library, or in the draft. If I save it on the phone, it won’t stay in the draft, and if I save it in the draft, I will have to go to drafts and save it on my phone. This is quite annoying and takes longer. All the features that are added with the update are great, but this one is just overlapping everything else.Version: 196.1

Dsco’s are not free anymoreI used to be able to post dscos on vsco but now i am expected to pay for membership in order to do so. very disappointing..Version: 199.0

Not impressedOk so I am not some or other super user. I was looking for a app that allows me to edit photos, add text not just filters. This app does not allow that. I had to add the text on another app, then import the photos. Great so I done that. However the app then proceeded to crop the photos in such a way that all my text as not visible. I was able to fix the crop for the photos in app, but every single time the video would revert to the own crop format. I was not able to move the crop on the photo where I wanted it either. It was predefined. So app was on my phone for 20 minutes before I deleted it..Version: 203.0

👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼WORST UPDATE EVER. It takes forever to edit.Version: 196.1

Used to be amazing then they updated itThis app was my go to for all my editing, but with recent updates that have changed the entire way the app works it’s near impossible to edit a photo without having to go through numerous menus for absolutely no reason. Quit pretending to be a knock-off Instagram app and go back to being a decent photo editing tool. The worst part is I paid for a year subscription and now I’m stuck with a useless app. DO NOT DOWNLOAD!.Version: 198.1

Going down hill...Sad to say used to love this app But over the past little while it has constant bugs and issues. Not being able to upload from my gallery, buttons just simply not working or doing anything, things not saving after edits or on my profile. Atm I literally can’t add any new photos. Every update fixes bugs but yet always creates new ones I find. Can’t delete and reinstall or it loses all the photos I do have saved. And the paid subscription just isn’t worth it even if it is a one time a year payment... it’s been going down hill since they started the payment plans, which I find odd since I never experienced so many bugs with an app I’m paying money for in my life!.Version: 166.0

Newest update is a pain.I’ve been using VSCO for something close to 6-7 years. I used to love it for its batch editing functionality and streamlined user interface. Now the studio section is just confusing. I can no longer save a batch of edited photos to my camera roll. When I do save from drafts to camera roll, the correct edits aren’t applied and I end up with tons of useless photos. Some that are permanently edited. My business is now suffering because I’m unable to batch edit in a time efficient manner. Lots of back and forth searching for photos through my cluttered camera roll when I used to be able to just import what I wanted and none of what I didn’t. This direct from camera roll studio is just not working for me. I may have to just switch to another photo editing app after loving VSCO for so long. Hopefully something is done soon about this as it’s apparent I’m not the only one experiencing these headaches..Version: 194.0

Amazing results, but buggyNothing on iOS makes my photos look better, but it's an app that's hugely let down by some fairly major bugs. By far the most frustrating of these is a bug that causes the app to crash/close when exporting photos to the camera roll. This has been an intermittent issue since the app was released. I can't wait for them to fix it (again) so I can finally export the photos I edited last month..Version: 4.4.4

UpdateThe update kinda sucked..Version: 196.1

Payed and got nothing ?I love this app, well I did when I had all of the adaptations however I payed for one year which was fine and then all of a sudden after a year the adaptations stoped and I no longer had them which I was fine with as I knew that would happen anyway. However recently I didn’t decide to upgrade however approximately £19 was taken out of my account and it said in my Apple ID that it was from this app? I went on to the app and I did not even have all of the adaptations just the basic app although I had been charged for no reason and I did not want to !! This is shocking really the app has just taken my money without me even buying anything and I Disney even get anything from it ?? Such a shame as I did really love this app and used it all the time but that won’t be happening any longer!.Version: 127.1

The beginning of the endAs a subscriber of several years I have enjoyed using VSCO since the days of their Lightroom filters so it is with great sadness I have seen the app slowly diminish in quality over the last few updates. The removal of shutter speed, save to RAW and ISO control has hampered power users of the camera as has the ability to bulk add photos, now being restricted to one by one; so much for editing a few dozen snaps from a photo shoot in a reasonable timeframe... The save to camera roll feature is no longer lossless either. Once again a company becomes more focused on lacklustre social network features at the cost of its original audience..Version: 198.0

New updateI loved vsco, but after the update where if you delete a photo from your camera roll that was also uploaded to the app, it deletes in both, I lost interest. I find this extremely irritating and I miss the old format of the app..Version: 116.0

New update has ruined this app!!Guys, I have been a very happy user of this app to edit my images for years, and this new update has completely ruined the experience- I used to just open my the app, import latest pics for editing from my recents, have my edits in the studio for me to update or download when needed and copy and paste edits to similar pics - this new update has made this whole process almost impossible. I have to edit the photos in my camera roll?! Then I have to go back and search for the newly edits photo to find the edits to copy - it’s just a mess. Please please please revert back to the old version, I do not see any benefit AT ALL from this new update and don’t get it..Version: 196.1

Layout/design is terriblePlease god put it back to how it was. This camera roll/drafts setup is SO frustrating. Destroys workflow. The gallery used to be a rough draft area, I could view and edit everything together in one place. If images were finished they got posted to vsco and/or saved to my camera roll. (I need to keep the original and the edit.) This new setup ruins my ability to do anything I need. I don’t want vsco modifying any image in my camera roll and I need to be able to do group uploads to a rough draft/working space, I need to be able to copy/paste/small tweak edits over a group of photos. All now nearly impossible. This is infuriating. The design changes have limited creativity and stifled any semblance of a workflow. Pleas tell me how you would suggest I work on 12 images at one time as a group. Your introduction of copy paste edits was lifechanging when it debuted (esp for an app). Also—NOBODY wants to make a “moNtaGe” of tiny images on a phone screen. EVERYBODY wants to have beautifully edited single images. This has always been vsco’s strength. Please facilitate this process instead of muddying the waters and forcing all this extra baggage that only weighs down what I’m here for and what vsco, I thought, was created to do..Version: 206.0

It’s coolI really enjoy vsco, it’s a fun app I know many people who wish there were comments and likes things that normal social media apps have but I don’t mind, it has good filters but I wish there were more things for free. Don’t get me wrong this app has a lot of free things, but personally I’d love to have the filters the membership offers, but I don’t feel like paying money for it since I don’t use it to often. Just a suggestion. I ,however, do really enjoy the free Dsco feature I love taking short clips and I like how that’s free, it’s also a shame that I think you have to be a part of the membership to post videos. But unlike other apps this app has a lot more than just filters and has things like exposure and contrast to match what you think looks best on the picture there’s a large variety of things you can use to edit your picture, and I have to say they look amazing, I also like how you can repost it and favorite it, it’s different and I like how you can see the posts you have respirated, I also love the discover feature so you can see cool images that other people have posted I defiantly use the studio a lot to edit my apps, and I personally don’t own any social media but it’s cool that it can save to your camera roll and you can post it in other social media apps. Overall, it’s a great app and I would recommend it to a friend (I have actually).Version: 164.0

Money Hungry DevelopersIve used this app for years, I’ve built up a selection of my favourite filters and today I login to find that all those filters that have been free (some that I selected to download while they were on sale for free) are now locked behind their VSCO X membership, leaving only 6/7 frankly terrible filters to choose from. This is a clear money grab, developers know exactly what they’re doing in this decision and it’s disgusting. Trying to force their fan base into handing over money every month to continue doing what they’ve been doing for years. How about you develop a monthly subscription that actually adds value? That’s why it isn’t seeing the returns you want because it adds nothing to the app. So now you’ve made basic services locked behind a subscription ... well done guys, I’ll find myself another editing app..Version: 121.0

New version sucksBring the old one back! The new user experience is horrible..Version: 196.1

VSCO *used to be* greatI have been using VSCO since 2016. Up until a few months ago, I had absolutely no complaints about this app. I’ve been a VSCO X member for 2 years now and have had no regrets. Unfortunately, the most recent updates have absolutely wreaked havoc on this app and ruined everything I love about it. Half the time I try to open the app, it glitches and won’t work. The way that the photos save into my library (as a burst of the original) is super frustrating and hard to use. I don’t know what the VSCO team was thinking with the past few updates, especially when we in the VSCO have so ardently shared our dislike of all of the changes (changes, might I say, that we’re not necessary and only hinder each user’s experience with the app). Needless to say I will not be renewing my VSCO membership and I am incredibly frustrated with this app as a whole. If the team can find a way to fix all these issues, I might consider renewing my membership but it’s unlikely. Overall, I would say use another editing platform like Lightroom..Version: 212.1

Frustrating Storage Due To UpdateI absolutely love vsco & it’s filters & I’ve been using them for years. One of my favorite things was I could import photos into my vsco studio & delete them from my camera roll. Whenever I had the time, I could go back into my vsco studio & get around to editing. Sometimes I’d save it to my camera roll if I was ready to share/post somewhere, but most of the time I didn’t. Keeping it in my vsco studio until I needed it just kept everything organized and I could easily keep track of my photos and edits. However, this new update deletes photos from the studio if the original is deleted from the camera roll. This has only caused frustration and an immensely unorganized mess of photos in my camera roll. I don’t want everything there, I don’t always need everything exported from the app. And what if I accidentally delete the original? The edit I worked so hard on is gone. This update has only made me use vsco less, and other editing apps a whole lot more. The storage did not need to be fixed, it was functioning perfectly! Overall, this update was extremely upsetting..Version: 125.0

New UpdateThis new update is HORRIBLE. You have so many people paying for this app, including me, who can’t even use it anymore or edit their photos. The two tabs on the edit page are so user unfriendly and difficult to use. My recent photos don’t even show up in my camera roll on the app unless I screenshot them (???) and then loose the quality in the image. The ones that do show up are rearranged making it so difficult to find the photos you want. When you save a photo they only go into your camera roll and not your drafts like they used to. And you can only edit one photo at a whereas I used to be able to upload multiple photos at a time and have them all in my drafts to compare. It’s a complete mess and not one of these changes is positive and so many people feel the same way. As a paying customer who can’t even edit my photos on a photo editing app, I’m very disappointed. Bring back the one tab drafts page and allow us to upload multiple photos from our camera roll at once. Listen to your paying customers..Version: 195.1

Subscription Billing Without Subscription ServiceThis app crossed over into why-pay-monthly/yearly-for-it territory the last few years with VSCO X, it’s $20 annual subscription that unlocks all the features in the app. The feature set is robust, but it doesn’t/hasn’t changed in ages, other than a few new monthly filters (how many do you really need?). I get subscription billing is the new model, but most services have a feature roadmap or similar. VSCO does not. It’s worth $5-10 once if you got everything the app currently offers, but definitely not $20 yearly for VSCO X. I should add I did pay for it last year, but once I neared the end I didn’t really see a reason to renew. I guess if you like the community and photo challenges: launched in second half of 2018, this is their most recent feature. Many other apps offer the photo editing tools for way cheaper (some even as a one time purchase). I just really don’t know what perks you’re getting by paying a subscription..Version: 114.0

Bad updateLike many others that have written recent reviews, I have been a loyal VSCO user for years now and have the paid membership. I used to love this app, but the new update is super confusing. I liked uploading a bunch of my favorite photos into the studio and then batch editing. It used to be so easy, but now it’s very convoluted and hard to copy paste edits across photos and make sure they are all consistent before saving a copy to my camera roll. Please revert and listen to your user base. :( Update: maybe I am missing something but I HATE that it now asks me to “modify photo?” and then saves over the raw photo in my camera roll with the applied edits. I like keeping my raw photos separate from edited because as editing styles change I know I always have the original preserved for use at a later date. In addition, there appears to be a weird bug where an edited photo looks different in the studio then when you actually open it in edit mode. The last version of VSCO was perfect; please please please revert. I’ve had to switch to the Lightroom app because I hate this update so much. I assume VSCO is trying to save money because server space for everyone’s photos and edits was too costly. I would rather pay more for the old app than deal with this new update. Please fix, how many bad reviews will it take?.Version: 196.1

Please switch back to old design! This new design is all over the place! It’s so confusing! I liked the old design so much better. I liked how you could select all the photos/videos you were going to be working with and move them to the project area and work on them from here. This new design has me searching so much more for all the content I need and then when I save it, it still is somewhere random on my phone and not the first vid/pic in the line up. And my favorite feature was the copy and paste, it was so easy on the old design, this one I had to hunt for the copy and paste button and then I had to scroll for so long to find the pic I wanted to paste it on instead of having all my pics and videos selected in the project room like it use to be! Plus the background is black instead of white, it’s very hard to edit pictures with black light. Why did you guys change it? Like it was so unnecessary, this update is super lame and makes me want to not use this app. At least have the option for this new design or the old design, because I would be sticking with the old!.Version: 199.1

Love hate relationshipI’ve had VSCO for many years in order to edit the pictures I post on Instagram and my food pictures that I post on my Yelp account. There are a lot of pictures that were saved in my drafts that were no longer in my camera roll and that I didn’t post on VSCO. The day I got the notification that they updated the app and that if you delete the app you’re drafted pictures would also be deleted, my heart dropped. But I was like okay, no problem, I just won’t delete the app... until I had to. Just this morning I went to edit my food pictures like normal and it WOULD’NT LET ME. I tapped the plus sign to start an edit, nothing. I closed the app and opened it back up, nothing. The only solution was to delete and reload the app. I KNEW I would lose all my drafted pictures but I was praying I didn’t. But as soon as I signed back in they were all GONE. Years of pictures just deleted all because the app malfunctioned and I had to redownload it. Yeah I’m still going to use the app but that update was dumb and super inconvenient..Version: 212.0

No More Free DSCOI have bad VSCO for about 3 years and i was able to post pictures and DSCO knowing that more came with the membership. I updated the app and now i can’t post DSCO”s anymore because it’s now included in the memebership. Way to ruin a fun and creative app that i can only post pictures on now. I can’t afford the membership, need to save every penny i have..Version: 196.1

Photos do not appear at all, very slow!I’ve always paid an annual fee with VSCO, no problem for having subscription with a good app. However, lately none of my imported photos display. All white out. I even deleted the whole gallery of imported photos twice, to free all space and start over, now my gallery has under 20 photos yet it’s still all white, NOT LOADING / NOT DISPLAYING any photos at all, I cannot edit my photos. Please fix this bugs soon..Version: 141.0

Deletes pics from vsco once original is deleted from camera rollI find that the new update that deletes my edited photos off of my vsco after i’ve deleted the original, unedited version from my camera roll is EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING. my camera roll is now as full as it’s ever been but when i first got notified of this they said it was to ‘help not use as much storage up’ ???? how does it help ?? it’s literally forcing me to keep my unedited photos !!! i don’t want my vsco gallery to be empty by keeping all my edited pics in my camera roll. that would almost defeat one of the core purposes of vsco for me !!! so, PLEASE FIX THIS. very very frustrating. i love this app and have been using it religiously since 2015 .... although i’m extremely disappointed by this update :(.Version: 117.0

Used to be good/useable :(For some reason I have to sign in/create an account to use the app, there’s no “no thanks option”. So I start to do that and the sign up page has a giant ad for some pro account thing over the top. Such a poor experience..Version: 153.0

Fix the updateUsed to love VSCO, especially to import a bunch of photos and edit them at once. The new update is awful and makes it so difficult to edit and find photos that I barely use it anymore. Please change it back to how it was!.Version: 196.0

Not HappyI have been a huge fan of VSCO as I LOVE editing and playing with photos. I spend over $20 on filter packs only to see them be deleted in updates. I did not see any warning or notice that this was going to happen and I can’t seem to find a way to get them back - or my money for that matter. I used to have over 50 different filters - I now only have access to 19. That’s no good. I am very upset. Please look at possibly replacing what many users have paid because I want to still love this app. Please..Version: 114.0

Very disappointedI thought this was gonna be the best editing app I had and I thought wrong.. I came from TikTok knowing other TikTokers were using this app for making editing slideshows but no, it makes nothing clear at all..However it dose edit your pictures quite well but you do need to pay to use any of the good ones. It also shares what city and town your from. I don’t know if that’s just me but it made nothing clear about it so I have to delete this app this is probably one of the worst editing apps I could of had. I wouldn’t recommend this app at ALL. Nothing amazing about it so that’s why I’m typing a review. ~Leila~.Version: 161.0

Hate the new updateI NEVER leave reviews but I’m so mad. I use vsco for all of my editing and I swear by it. Normally I’d say 5 stars no doubt, I used to upload a whole bunch of photos from a photoshoot at once then edit one and paste the edits onto the others and choose my favourite from there and delete the rest. But with the new update you can only move a photo to drafts ONE AT A TIME. It takes forever and there’s no apps like it I’m so used to vsco so now I’m just stuck. I really hope they fix it:(.Version: 196.1

Developers - what are you thinking?!I’ve been using VSCO since day one and this is the first review I’ve ever written on the app store. The previously version of the app was almost perfect, but this latest version seems to of made the app infinitely worse. I’m not going to list all of the problems because they are obvious. Just bring the workflow back from the previous version otherwise I and many other long-term users will be forced to switch to another platform..Version: 198.0

Such a bad update :(I never review things but maybe this will increase the chances of it returning to how it was before:)) im not sure if i’m just dumb but importing photos is so confusing and time consuming now. you can’t paste edits unless it’s straight to your camera roll and then it forces you to modify the original photo if you want to paste edits. or you have to paste edits to already edited photos. there was nothing wrong with how it was before it was sooo easy to use now it’s so time consuming unless i just haven’t figured it out yet.Version: 196.1

Can’t see what I’ve FavoritedAfter I updated the app, I can’t go into my favourites anymore. Like the option to click on “favourites” isn’t there. Why???.Version: 166.0

New update sucksPlease bring back the ability to edit multiples in one go without modifying the original. Exporting to a copy / jpg is also something to bring back please!.Version: 196.1

New update isn’t goodI loved this app. Used it for all my photo editing and even bought into it so I could edit videos, but the newest update isn’t good (for me at least) I’m sad to say. You can’t select multiple photos at once to add to the drafts to then edit. Additionally, it doesn’t remember where you were in your photos that you were adding to edit. I still use it cause I pay for it but I probably won’t be paying for it again. Really sad and will most likely need to find a new editing tool..Version: 200.0

Please change it back to how it wasWas a easy to use app before till the new updates. Now you can’t even select multiple pictures to edit? Have to select them one by one. What happened?.Version: 196.1

You have ruined VSCOThis is my second recent review and I’m so disappointed, clearly VSCO has recieved overwhelming negative feedback about recent updates but has done nothing but paste a generic message below reviews. Please for the love of photography bring back the bulk editing feature. The new interface is a misery use, the camera roll and drafts tabs just complicate and slow down your work flow. Why do I need to edit a photo before I can add it to the drafts tab? The editing features are still good but it’s honestly so frustrating to edit a series that I’m looking for an alternative and will cancel my membership if it’s not fixed soon..Version: 199.0

TOO EASY TO REPOSTSwiping up reposts a picture. I accidently reposted 5 pictures. At least make it a tap, you swipe up 99% of the time to look at photos terrible idea.Version: 34.1

Awful UpdateThe UX on the latest update is beyond confusing. All my photos (edited and unedited) are now mixed up. I get too confused - sure there’s filters; but they reset everytime I edit one photo so find myself having to scroll back. I can’t even save photos to my camera roll anymore unless I go to each photo and edit them (and change nothing). I can save photos by going through the native share tools but that’s a long process when I have 20+ photos. I can’t select multiple photos and save to camera roll (if I can, it’s not obvious) Although it is easier being able to browse my camera roll and edit straight away; I miss having all my VSCO edits in one space - I’d often browse for photos using the app. Also - for some reason photos aren’t also saved in the separate VSCO folder on my phone - where they used to be. It’s a shame because all my edits from day 1 are in there. Now they’re just sat amongst my camera roll of about 30+ different variants of the same photo. I’m a UX designer so understand the aim - but a lot has been lost to gain easy browsing pre-editing. The post-editing experience isn’t great at all..Version: 196.1

New update ruined a good thingThis app was my absolute favourite for editing and so easy to use. Losing the mass edit function ruined the entire app for me. Not being able to copy and paste my edits without over writing the original pictures in my ACTUAL camera roll is an absolute joke. I NEVER gave vsco the permissions to make changes to my pictures in my camera roll. I’m so absolutely disappointed. Oh and it got rid of all my old edits from before the update.. cool..Version: 199.0

SneakyTakes your registration details, phone number & email then “oh, server is down” but thanks for your details.....Version: 129.0

I was happy untill...Well, where do I start? I never write reviews but today I feel it needs be coming from a photographer myself. I've been an keen avid user of VSCO for a good couple of years now, pretty much a daily basis. Today I decided to give the trial a go for the VSCOX subscription, however I have to say I'm really disappointed. Not even having the subscription for less that an hour I decided to get rid of it. I mean... What are you really paying for? Extra filters that look nothing like the Kodak and Fuji film grains etc? Maybe a few extra methods to tweak an image... Really? Nah it's not for me. If anything the regular VSCO does it for me. Why they have to charge for this I just don't know. I wouldn't recommend. Stick with what you know I say. Let's hope they don't charge me for cancelling 1 hour in to the trial!!! Sorry guys, that's 1 star from me..Version: 80.0

New update is so BAD!It’s getting more complicated to do batch editing now. The experience is getting worse. It takes a lot of time to edit multiple photos, so confusing. I can’t believe the developer didn’t think about that. The old version was much SIMPLER, BETTER and EASIER to use. I’ve read the manual guide on how to use the new studio, which i believe most people who commenting here already did as well. But that also proves that the new update is not intuitive and hard to use..Version: 196.1

Recent update ruined my favourite appEditing photos on VSCOcam has become unusable due to the latest update. After using this for years it was by far my favourite and only photo editing app that I didn’t hesitate to pay for. I wouldn’t of hesitated to give 5 stars. It used to be so intuitive and offered every function needed to professionally edit many photos. However the latest update has ruined it so much that it’s no longer usable. You can no longer select multiple images to import for editing. Having to do 1 by 1 is an awful set back. It makes the process unnecessarily slow. This update has made it too difficult and slow to navigate and use. Please stop pushing me to post to journal. I want to save a draft or save to camera roll. Also the black interface.... If this is the future we should at least have the choice to revert back to white. PLEASE bring back the old interface, and learn from the mistakes of this update, it was so easy to use, otherwise I will sadly be finding a replacement and ending my subscription. *in response to the developer response - I do not have problems publishing photos. Please actually read the comment above. I need to be able to import multiple images from my camera roll for editing - I need the studio to function as it previously did..Version: 194.0

Sadly got worseI was a great fan on VSCO for ages. The filters were amazing, the app looked very clean and user friendly. Unfortunately, with the updates happening last months the app was getting gradually updating to me. Firstly, with the abundance of filter it’s getting difficult to navigate and choose. The options of selecting favourite filters limits me and is not convenient in use at all. It was much more convenient choosing from the library rather than looking at my iPhone library as part of VSCO. And the last but not the least, having a VSCO library with all selected photos was necessary! When I edit several identical photos, it was nice scrolling them back and forth for comparison. I feel like you want to push your VSCO social media but it’s better creating a separate app rather then combine it with the editing software. I think that separate app will stand out more..Version: 203.0

What did you do to the app icon😭😭The new blue icon is so ugly I cannot even express how much I hate it..Version: 210.0

Deleting photosVery very very difficult that you have the new feature of deleting photos that are deleted from device. I can not stress enough how annoying this is as I clear space up on my phone however I store photos there for me to post on my Instagram account. Please make an option to remove this feature as I have lost so many photos thinking they would be saved in the application and I’m really disappointed. Would love to know if there is a way to turn this feature off!! Love the app though - really great for storing photos and editing. Thank you.Version: 133.0

What happened to my membership?I’ve been using VSCO for a long time now. I even bought the presets back when they were available to purchase for Lightroom. Great photo editing app. I use it to edit my photos on my phone for stories for my photography business. Easily one of my favourite. However, recently I’ve had issues with it. I’ve been booted out of my account which I’ve paid a year subscription for. I still have till 2nd of September this year, 2021 before the membership expires, yet I cannot log on my account. Tried multiple time to connect back into my VSCO account, all the custom presets I’ve saved and photos in my library are gone and it’s asking me to subscribe for a membership. I already have one, I’ve checked my apple account subscription. What is going on here?.Version: 207.0

Dsco? The dsco’s are super long now and you have to pay to have premium to post them?? what the heck. bring it back for free. bring back the old version please. no ones happy..Version: 199.1

VSCO has lost itVSCO used to be a wonderful company, but has become greedy and lost it’s way, ignoring it’s long term customers that have paid good money for it’s products in the past. The latest update is diabolical as it removes two very important features for me: 1. the ability to save a file within the app. Now, if you edit a file, and want to save it, you have to export it immediately to the camera roll. 2. When exporting files there is no longer any option for output size, just full size presumably. This latest update is infuriating, why change something that is perfect and useful?! I am seriously looking at other alternative apps, so I can ditch VSCO. Sadly all good things come to an end..Version: 117.0

New update lets it downThe old style of the app was so intuitive: import photos to the app > edit each, can save draft and revisit > then can save individual or multiple images to phone while still able to come back to the edits in the app and tweak if needed. Now it is so confusing and doesn’t work in the same way. I just spent 20 minutes editing multiple photos and saved them to the draft area, the closest thing to the original; when I exported all of them to my photos the edits weren’t there so I deleted them, came back to the app and it had deleted the drafts too! Please for the love of this app revert back to the old interface!.Version: 198.1

Too big to fail? Dream onI could write a long, detailed review. Or feedback to be helpful, but VSCO don’t listen, despite claiming to. No problem if you don’t mind reading copy and pasted unhelpful responses. But for those who are interested, here is a snapshot. I’ve used VSCO regularly for around 8 years now, and as a paid member for 2. But today that period comes to an end as the app has become impossible to use, customer service nonexistent, and a ‘community oriented’ business that refuses to apologise and listen. VSCO was an epic app, a true trail blazer in its field. But they became complacent and arrogant like a Wall Street bank in 2008. The update is rubbish, they know it, we know it, yet they didn’t care. Customer service doesn’t care. Engineers don’t care. CEO doesn’t care. They claim to have fixed the failed update 2 months later, but the damage is done. We need to support alternatives to VSCO before they screw their customers again and are able to get away with it. A great alternative is RNI Films. There are many others too. It is a shame that after all these years, today I will delete VSCO after such a diabolical handling of the downgrade from the previous version. So long. Insert automated copy and paste unhelpful response from VSCO here ⬇️.Version: 203.0

Trash, trash, trashI’ve been using VSCO for years and have paid for a couple of the presets. The new update is trash. Just another example of a successful app that gets ruined by idiotic developers who don’t know what their users actually want. Why would anyone want to modify the original photo in their camera roll to save it?! That’s not how any photo editing app works. What kind of genius decided that would be a good idea?! Someone needs to be fired..Version: 201.0

Canceled my subscriptionI used to love this app..until it kept locking all my filters every single time I would edit. I couldn’t stand having to go to settings and “restore purchases” every, single, time! It drove me NUTS! You shouldn’t have that problem for over 5 months. I contacted help (terrible, non existent, generic help) and was told to “restore purchases”. I give up. I’m going elsewhere..Version: 164.0

Question about new updateWhere can I find my favourites with this new update? My favourite part of the app was looking at my favourites but I can’t seem to find them ever since the app updated..Version: 166.1

Mandatory Sign Up To Use? No, Thanks.I actually loved this app. I’ve been using it for years and it’s my go-to for Instagram posts. The filters are varied and it’s really easy to use. Unfortunately, recent updates have locked me out of my library and from using the app in the future because I don’t have an account with them. They must have reasons for it, of course, but obviously I’m disappointed because I don’t want to sign up. If I did I would have done so beforehand. So, thanks for alienating a part of your user base..Version: 143.0

Updated version suckkkksThey’ve made it so hard to use and edit on their app..Version: 207.0

Some extra user controls would help1. The most important one is to allow manual sorting/re-arrangement of imported pics. When I batch import my pics, they no longer appear in chronological order. It's very slow to import one photo at a time, in the order that I want them to appear in the studio. It would be much easier if I could click and hold a picture and slide it to the position I want it to appear in. 2. Include a brightness adjustment as well as exposure. Exposure increases shadows and highlights, similar to Levels in Photoshop, but it doesn't brighten the entire image the same way that Instagram's "Brightness" adjusts the photo. 3. Allow to desaturated a photo completely. Currently, the desaturate function still retains some colour in the photo even at the lowest extremity.Version: 39.0

UX is not their priorityThis new update completely ruined the app’s UX. It’s so hard to use and so much more complicated than previous versions. I get what they’re trying to do...but the implementation is just bad. Unsubscribing..Version: 203.0

Import problemI love how I can edit my photos and use all of the tools. The only thing bringing this score down is that when I go to import a photo, it for some reason will only let me scroll down a tiny bit, before it glitches and goes to the top again. It’s super frustrating as i have to go into my camera roll and screenshot the photo I want, so that it goes to the top of the page when I want to import..Version: 174.0

Confusing UpdateLong time VSCO user. First time reviewer. Since the update I don’t think I can use it anymore. It’s confusing how you edit directly from your camera roll??? And then there are like Drafts too??? I export out and it overlaid my edits twice?? No idea what’s going on. But I think they just over complicated my workflow. Will find something better for now..Version: 196.1

DisappointedI’ve really enjoyed using VSCO through the past few years, but recently it’s really been frustrating. With its most recent update, if you don’t have premium you can’t post DSCOs like we used to be able to. And i haven’t been able to post journals since this past summer (2020). The journals just sit in my journals section and the cover photo is blank and they refuse to actually post. As of this past day, i’m not able to post or even edit any photo without the app completely freezing up and not responding to touch. i’ve opened and closed the app as well as deleted and redownloaded the app to try and fix these bugs but it has not helped at all. Please come up with a solution. Also with the recent update, whenever i want to save a photo to camera roll from my drafts, it takes me to the camera roll section instead of just letting me stay in drafts. then when i want to go back to drafts, i have to scroll every single time back down to where i left off with editing. this makes batch editing really frustrating as well. i have expressed to my friends how upsetting this new update is, and they’ve agreed with me. Please revert back some of these changes..Version: 192.1

Really disappointed.Like many other photographers that use this app, I have really enjoyed VSCO and found it to be a great editing tool. However, despite having used the app since around 2014, I am really coming to the end of my tether with it. I have invested quite heavily in the app, buying pretty much all available filters over the years through the in-app purchases. Everything was going smoothly until the last year or so with the introduction of VSCO X. Like every other money hungry, greedy corporation out there, VSCO has turned one of my favourite apps into a barrage of adverts for their latest subscription service. They don’t just want my one-time payment. They want a payment again and again and again and again. A banner appears at the top of my app every time I open it reminding me of the paid subscription service that I’m supposedly missing out on. They rolled out a new feature called ‘suggested filters’ which, surprise surprise, ALWAYS contain a selection of their paid subscription filters. Surely you can develop the app to take a hint that I’m not interested in your sub-par selection of new filters? I’ve already paid for the ones I want. I was inspired to write this review after their latest update, which no longer allows me to save my photos inside the VSCO app and forces me to save them to my camera roll every time I edit them. This was the straw that broke the camel’s back. Goodbye VSCO. I’m off to find a better app..Version: 115.0

Last update is horribleThis last update made the user experience horrible. As a UX/UI designer for over 5 years I can say with conviction this last update knocked out the usability. I can never get used to having to importing pictures one by one and this dark theme makes everything worst visibility wise. VSCO is not instagram or lightroom, the brightness is what made everything so clear, objective and simple. I happily paid for a year subscription but decided to cancel it due to the recent updates. I hope you guys have good research backing your decisions, it would be depressing if your designers are changing the design based on trends or just plain boredom. I know UX can be fun, but you guys are impacting the usability negatively. Progress in the right direction is always good and necessary but you guys are taking a questionable path..Version: 196.1

Worst update everI’ve used VSCO for the past 3 years to edit photos before adding them to Instagram and this new version doesn’t even makes sense to me. I can’t save photos in Draft as before so that I can edit them in a batch, so I tried another way which was adding the “favourite” flag to them so that I can access them without being lost amongst all the unwanted photos, and every time I had the filter for Favourite, then edit the photo, the filter reset to display all the photos, and even worse than that, every time the list starts from the first photo rather than the photo I was currently editing, and I have to scroll down amongst the myriad of photos to find the one I want to edit. Just awful!.Version: 196.1

I hate the recent change.I have been using this app for years now so I finally gave in and decided to purchase a membership. I have loved it....until now. I hate the recent update. Now if you delete a photo in the camera roll then it is automatically deleted in the vsco app, this is extremely frustrating. I was unaware of this recent change. Which is odd because I use this app frequently. It was only brought to my attention once I tried searching the internet to find a way to recover the photos I lost. This new feature is an unnecessary change and I hope it is only temporary. Until then take my experience as a word of caution or just use the free features. If this was a feature Vsco had during the time I considered purchasing a membership, I would have taken my money elsewhere. Now that the change has been brought to my attention I will be more careful of what photos I delete. If it wasn’t for the new feature I would have rated this app five starts but no use in doing that if a photo editing app deletes my photos automatically..Version: 115.1

It’s a social app not a camera appToo much social stuff on here. I heard about this app on a website about best camera apps and downloaded it. I didn’t like the fact I had to sign in. I rejected location, contact, and email sharing. By default these were on even after specifying no. The camera was invisible. Took me about 10 minutes to find it. I could have uninstalled several times but stuck with it. In this day and age there is to much emphasis placed on sharing everything. Taking photos is about taking photos not letting everyone else know how great your life is. Stop putting time wasting functions in your apps..Version: 115.0

Hugely frustrating save processI’ve been an extremely happy user of vsco for years and don’t have a bad word to say about it other than the new save/storage system, which now consists of: - take photo (and if wanting to use 0.5 zoom in iphone 11, you’ll need to first take in iOS camera then import) - you will now have an unedited version in camera roll AND the one you can edit in vsco - edit photo in vsco - save to camera roll * if you don’t want 2 copies of each photo clogging up your camera roll and memory: * - NOW go back manually to delete the originals out of camera roll (at which point they will delete from vsco studio so you better be happy with your edits) of course i found out the hard way when I deleted all the unedited photos from my camera roll before saving the edited copies, causing all the edited ones to disappear forever, losing hours of editing time. I get that it’s a huge use of server space to store everyone’s photos but surely there is an easier way?! other apps can ‘modify photo’ OR save as copy - why can’t you do this? I can see I’m not the only one getting frustrated with this so please do something!.Version: 137.1

This App Used to be GoodI was paying for an annual subscription to VSCO and used it for all my photos— until recently. The app has been glitching like crazy in the last few months. I can’t crop photos the way I want, photos upload sideways and can’t be rotated, the app crashes while I’m in the middle of editing, etc. I thought VSCO would fix these problems with an updated version, but it continued to go on for months, which left me wondering what I was paying for. The app also doesn’t allow you to upload photos to edit into your VSCO gallery like it used to, but rather has all your photos from your camera roll automatically added, which is majorly inconvenient. It used to save photos directly into a VSCO folder in the Photos app, but now it only saves to camera roll, which makes it harder to find my edited pictures. Overall, I am very disappointed with the decline of this app which I’d been using for the last 7 years, and therefore will be looking for other photo editing apps to invest my money in..Version: 203.0

Gone downhillI’ve been using VSCO for years. Was my favourite editing app. But the last layout changes they made to the app are so frustrating and make the app hard to use. The ability to import select pictures first from my phone library to edit is so important. I’m looking for a replacement app because this one is no longer user friendly..Version: 207.0

The updateI hate the update.Version: 196.1

Please sort out the new update!I love Vsco but since the new update it’s been a real hassle editing photos. The fact that now when you delete photos from Vsco it deletes them from your camera roll is extremely irritating, the app now also automatically saves them to your camera roll, making it really difficult going through photos on my camera roll and deleting the unedited copies. I think there needs to be setting to remove these features because they are not helpful and have caused me to lose my own photos, luckily the original photos where on my laptop, but I still had to transfer them to my phone and then edit them. The app is no longer good if you have taken a lot of photos in one go, the update makes you have to think a lot about what your editing and deleting and it a lot of hassle for something that used to be so simple, it’s now taking up a lot of my time and can get really confusing..Version: 120.0

Great filter app but that’s allFor a number of years VSCO has been my go to photo filter / editing application; spending money on buying individual filters in the past and then jumping on the VSCO X hype when they introduced it. However, a few years on and as my mobile photo editing skills improved, VSCO stayed behind with it’s very basic range of tools. The number of filters that are available is great but people who take their mobile photo editing beyond just filters will soon outgrown the application. It would be great if the developers could introduce some simple tools such as: the defuser, colour grading and selective colour editing, being able to properly adjust shadows and highlights, a healing or air brushing tool or simply being able to name a saved recipe. The argument against this would be to use another application for these features but I do think it would nice to see an expansion of the available tools inside the VSCO app for its paying customers..Version: 203.0

Hate the update!I used to absolutely love this app. There wasn’t a quality I didn’t like about it. I never actually had an account, or the paid version, and still loved it! I use it to edit my photos for my blog. Recently, after updating the app I noticed a change to the way photos are stored. If I delete a photo in my camera roll, it deletes the edited version from the app. I absolutely hate this change. I use the app to edit my photos before posting, but love to be able to go back and review old photos from the past. After editing and posting on Instagram I always delete them from my camera roll because I don’t like to have a ton of food pictures on my phone. I always loved that I could go back in the VSCO app and pull up old photos to reuse on my blog if I wanted to. Now that the photos delete themselves when I remove them from my camera roll I am no longer able to store them in the VSCO app. This is super frustrating, and makes me wonder whether I want to continue using the app to edit my photos. I usually never review things, but I wanted to share my thoughts in hope that this is something that can be changed..Version: 117.0

BAD QUALITYI, like many others, have used VSCO for a very long time and I, like many others, have issues with the new updates. If you read other recent reviews you’ll get a good idea with the main issues with the recent changes. I have never, and I mean NEVER, written a review of anything before but because I loved this app so much it saddens me to see it go so down hill. The main point I would like to raise (which differs from other recent reviews) is that recently my photos have been horrendously bad quality, and I mean HORRENDOUS! I have changed nothing in the settings, I haven’t got a new device, I haven’t changed a thing other than to update the app. I have used older photos that I have previously used on the app to see if it was my recent photo settings that were the problem to see if that made a difference but no, the quality was still as bad. In the app they look perfectly normal but once you save them to your camera roll they become all cartoonish and animated looking which is very strange to explain. The best way I can describe it is when you zoom in really close on Google Earth and you can see the 3D rendered model of where you are; it looks like that and I don’t know why. Maybe it’s just my app, or maybe it’s a broader issue. But having said that I thought it necessary to say this because the app needs changing. It was once really great and I’ve used it for years but sadly it has not just gone bad, it has gotten unusable..Version: 196.1

UghhWhy the heck do U have to pay.Version: 34.1

I hate this new featureCan you reverse the fact that when I delete a original picture off my phone, the app decides to also delete the EDITED, desired image off my app too? There are literally years of pictures which I’ve been forced to delete from my phone for storage which only recently have been deleted off the APP, ASWELL - for good. Memories I wanted to keep archived, on an app I’ve been using for 6 years now. Only to find out they can’t be rendered and remain white squares on my edit screen. Honestly it’s cruel and it’s such a waste. What does that achieve for anybody? If I wanted them both gone don’t you think I would have deleted them both of my device? You need to fix this..Version: 159.1

DisappointedI’ve been using VSCO for years and always loved the app, having purchased a few filter packs. I subscribed to the 7-day free trial last year but forgot to cancel, and was extremely disappointed to find that I can no longer purchase the filters and the only way to use them is to subscribe to another yearly membership! So essentially, you can only rent the filters but not own them. I think this is extremely poor. I will be switching to a different app which is better value for money..Version: 116.0

Horrible.I got vsco because I wanted to see what it would be like. But then I realised that you have to pay, so I deleted the app and it sent me an email saying the $35 bill will go through unless I cancel before the next day. I cancelled it immediately and I still got the bill? I would like if you could cancel my subscription please because it just won’t let me cancel it..Version: 135.0

New features/update are horribleI normally love vsco, i have had it for about 5 years. But the new update doesn’t allow you to filter photos based on posted/unposted, as well as doesn’t let me upload to my editing gallery, it only lets you edit your camera roll. I take about 10 pictures of each thing so it’s very frustrating! VSCO please fix this :(.Version: 196.1

Why £20 a year and not £1.66 a monthSo really like the app but wanted to try the free trial of the premium and I think this can be said for a lot of people, I forgot to cancel it. However there was no warning at all to tell me it’s running out which is really cheeky I think. Any way £20 has been taken out of my account and haven’t used it since, really annoying because when I signed up thought it was going to be taken out monthly not in one chunk. This really needs to be more clear or it needs to be changed. I’m a student so 20£ is quite a lot of money to suddenly come out of my account. Would really like a refund as not worth the money, thanks..Version: 131.0

UpdateHate the new update.Version: 196.1

GreedyI used to love this app. I bought every preset that was out, and after a bungle in their end I had a free subscription for a year to the extra stuff. When that expired, I received no notice I just figured it out for myself. Fair enough. I still had the filters I’d always used. But I’ve just gone in to edit a photo today, and all of a sudden whole filter groups that I’d been using even since my subscription expired are now required to be purchased. I’ve pumped way too much money into what’s essentially a fancy step before Instagram, and I’m not happy that I dropped money last week to have a complete collection - again - but now today even more of what I’d already been using is gone. Not worth the money unless you’re getting the desktop version. Absolute rip off and zero loyalty to pre-existing users 🙅🏼‍♀️.Version: 43.0

So sadI miss the old update. :(.Version: 209.0

The later update has taken a winning formula and murdered it.I absolutely adore VSCO but the latest update to the way the studio works has now made it take far too long to work on drafts. Before you’d import images, edit one to perfection then simply copy and paste that over the rest and tweak exposure etc. Now it doesn’t let you import the images are just “there” in camera roll, which sounds great at first, until you realise that by going in and editing an image saves it to your “draft” page. Now if you copy and paste the settings from one image on the “drafts” page back over to the “studio” page it asks you for every single image and permission to overwrite it, and does it directly on the imagery in your photo/camera roll. This is insane, I cannot believe they’ve taken the best, fastest camera grading app on the planet and made it take longer to edit, more destructive and invasive. Please VSCO, absolutely beg of you to put this back or allow the option of a legacy studio mode..Version: 194.0

A touch overcomplicated?VSCOcam has been a mainstay of my editing process for years and I have witnessed and (almost always) appreciated its many new iterations. However, the latest updates seem to come with features that are unnecessary and frankly irritating. For example, the pop up that demands you create a VSCO account every time the app launches - it would be nice if you didn’t have to tell it no a thousand times. The sneaky little VSCO watermark that is selected by default when you export photos? Also superfluous. What makes VSCOcam the editing app of choice for so many is the wealth of excellent filters and control over the outcome of the images. Please don’t overwhelm it with a bunch of bells and whistles that don’t actually contribute to that..Version: 137.0

Step backwardsLove VSCO and have been using it for years. Usually I’m pretty patient with updates but the new layout has completely broken the workflow that I’m sure many people have perfected by now. Why do we need to modify the original photos just to do a batch edit? And now saving photos is under the share button but the camera roll option is tucked so far away as we have to scroll through all the social media options first? Why make the camera roll the first tab? It used to be so much nicer to see all your edits in one place - no one curates their camera roll?! It’s so ugly to see my camera roll first up :/ What used to be a simple app to use has turned into something overcomplicated... please at least have a video on how you think the new workflow should be and guide us through the UX/UI mess because I am struggling to find something that works..Version: 195.0

I miss the old vscoVSCO is a huge fan of fixing stuff that isn’t broken. It started with the user interface, then with the editing tools themselves. Vsco used to be a sleek, simple, alternative high quality photo editing app, and now that it’s more mainstream (and slowly turning into Instagram imo) it’s gotten bad. The functionality of the highlights tool is a great example of a well-intending update actually making something worse, and there’s a bug with the grain tool that’s actually been there for a long as I remember. They also removed the web uploader so now to get photography on my computer to the app (which can only be used on the iPhone btw) I have to use “google photos or iCloud.” Thanks but if I wanted my photography to be 240p I would’ve done that already. Also not a huge fan of how often the paid version of vsco is shoved down my throat. Vsco used to be my favorite photo editing app and posting platform but it’s just gone down the tube. Very sad. Don’t get me wrong, the community is still great and the filters remain unmatched, but the other issues are enough to reduce my usage..Version: 166.1

How could you do this?Let me start this off with a congratulations to VSCO and the lovely team behind it. I cannot get enough of the app and it’s an amazing tool that I use literally everyday. I have fallen in love with the powerful and elegant tools to have the capability to make every photo perfect. (It makes me feel so in control as an artist!) Aside from the questionable update every so often, I believe they have all been for the better. But I think this is... mind-boggling. How could you remove the functionality of the library? I don’t care about the storage on my phone and honestly, neither should you VSCO. I assume this is the ‘soft’ nerf to the usability of the app until you introduce new paid features. But my god, I hope these changes aren’t permanent. I started using the app about 3 years ago and didn’t have an actual account until about a year in. That speaks to how fantastic the editing tools and user experience were designed. Why take away (I’d argue) the best and ultimately most fundamental part of your app? The gallery is so essential. Not just to photographers, or just to the casual photo taking community but to anyone who spends their time using the app (with an account or not.) I want a place where I can put my photos side by side and compare them. I want a place where I can catalog all of my shots in a spot that isn’t my cluttered and disorganized camera roll. (A collection of the best shots all neatly organized into one page.) I want one app where I can edit, view, and share my photos all from one place. All of that is what the gallery is and should be. VSCO is meant to inspire the art of photography and I believe this groundbreaking change goes directly against that. By not letting me reflect on my shots, cherish the moments I have captured, and reuse/remix techniques and combinations I have crafted for future use, I believe VSCO is moving backwards. I PRAY that this update isn’t permanent and is only an experiment. (Plus, I really don’t want to have to proof my photos in my camera roll.) - P.S. as a subscriber to VSCO X, why are the features of the app being removed? I thought paying customers would be getting access to new tools, not having old ones taken from us..Version: 114.0

No more camera roll/ios8I know that ios8 has taken away the old camera roll, which is quite awkward for using apps such as VSCO! Often I'll want to edit photos that are older than the ones in the 'recently added' folder - is there a way of making this an option again?.Version: 3.5

Issues with HSL settingI’ve always used VSCO to edit my photos, but recently I’ve noticed there’s been a change to the app - I’m not sure if it’s been updated, but there’s definitely an issue with the HSL setting that comes with the VSCO membership. Whenever I now try and adjust the colour settings, it instantly messes up with the red/orange/yellow saturation of the picture - even if I’m specifically trying to adjust the blue of a picture, for example. This has never happened before, and it’s very frustrating if you’re trying to adjust a single colour of the picture and it automatically desaturates the reds/oranges/yellows as well. Please fix this, it’s probably the main reason why I paid for the membership!.Version: 161.0

CHANGE THISI cannot STAND the new update. I hate how you can’t select more than 1 picture to add into your drafts, i hate how it deletes from your drafts if you delete it in your camera roll, i hate the look of it. CHANGE IT BACK. i do not pay for the membership for a horrible app like this..Version: 199.0

A bit complicatedThe original VSCO cam was simple to use. This version does take the iPhone camera to the next level, but it's a complicated and each update changes it beyond bug fixes. I like it, but maybe it should have been tested more before release? Downloading presets also caused "connection errors" which is frustrating. It is good overall, but the VSCOfilm presets are where it's at!.Version: 2.0.4

The import images/video screen keeps flashing/refreshing.Every time I try to import my videos and photos, the screen keeps flashing/ refreshing for no reason. This defect kind of defeats the purpose of the app and it is very annoying. It should be a small patch to fix it but it has been going on for over 6 months. I have paid for a year subscription but I won’t be resubscribing. It’s a shame because I have been using this app for over 4 years and it’s sad to see it go down the drain and become greedier by the minute..Version: 186.0

The new update is wack. Please don’t try too hard. the app was already great as it was. this new update is so buggy, slow, and a lil confusing to use. been using vsco for forever. number one reason is cause it’s so straightforward to use. please don’t try too hard..Version: 206.1

Please update securityDear devs, I lately had to remove VSCO from my device as I was constantly getting followed by bots with inappropriate content on their feeds. Yes they were definitely boys, with auto generated names and descriptions etc. I am concerned because I know plenty of younger people who use this app, so I am (quite rightly) worried for them in case they are ever approached by one of these disgusting bots. There is also the matter of the huge paywall that has been instigated into the app. This is despicable because I must pay just to access some decent filters - and VSCO has plenty of good filters. It is for these reasons that I have only given the app 2 stars..Version: 196.1

Not happyThe new update ruined the app for me:(.Version: 200.0

Useless without save to camera roll!I’ve been using VSCO as a paid subscriber for almost 5 years. I’ve finally had enough after reading how many other people are affected by this “bug” where created content cannot be saved to the phones camera roll. Even the developers stated “workaround (save as draft first) does not work. This has been happening for months and I thought it was due to my phones storage, now I read that hundreds of other customers are stuck in the same boat and it hasn’t been fixed yet. My subscription is now rendered useless 💸💸💸 cheers VSCO!.Version: 207.0

Amazing filters, idiotic interfaceVSCO has some of the best filters and editing tools that I've ever seen. They're beautiful, I love them and want to see and use them more and more. However: the app is a nightmare to use; irrational UI elements, confusing icons, unnecessary screens, difficult to use aspects and much more make the app painful to use, it's always a guessing game as to if you're pressing the right button or even looking in the right place. It took me a very long time and a lot of trial and error to even realise that there was also a social network built in, and a full manual camera (an awesome feature)- let alone how to use them. Perhaps a more disappointing feature of the app is the lack of support for new iOS 9 extensions. I can't edit with VCSO within the photos app, and I can't edit photos without importing them to VSCO, like every modern editing app can. I really wish I could use VSCO filters more, but the irrational, and stupid UI drives me away form VSCO and towards apps like Litely, Afterlight, and Polar, despite them having less pleasing results overall..Version: 4.5

Update is a total failI’ve used VSCO (even back when it was VSCO CAM) and have experience many updates. All of them were improvements and created a streamlined ease of use. Even as a professional photographer, VSCO beat out Lightroom in my ability to import photos I want to edit, make edits, paste edits to multiple images, make adjustments to specific images, then export those images for use on social media (both for business and personal). The UI was streamline and efficient over any other app. The new update is inefficient in every way that it was previously efficient. Editing is clumsy. Edit an individual photo? You can save that one to camera roll as a copy with your edits or save it as a draft. Once that edit is made you can copy and paste to multiple images, OVERWRITING THE ORIGINAL. This is like image file management 101, the basics, the fundamentals. Never get rid of your original file. I know, you’ll say “you can undo the edits in VSCO”. Yes, in a very difficult and time consuming manner. Don’t be so proud that you can’t admit you made a mistake with this new set up, take a step back and adjust!.Version: 196.1

Out with the new, bring back the old!Listen VSCO, I’ve loved you forever—since 2013 to be exact. The only reason I’ve even added a second star is for the loyalty. This new layout feels like a slap in the face to longtime users. One thing I’ve always loved about your product is that it has been a constant in a world of changing (for the worse) social media’s. I feel like over the years you guys have done an excellent job updating and keeping the app fresh while apps like Instagram have continued to become more monetized and consumerism-focused. While VSCO has continued to be about the photos/documenting experiences. The new layout has shifted the perspective making it less user friendly and more about being corralled to use the member features. I’ve used VSCO for free for so long that truthfully, I don’t feel mad about now paying for the app to continue to use a longtime favorite, DSCO’s, but don’t make me suffer through a entire new app surface. It doesn’t feel natural or easy to use anymore. I used to love editing/posting on VSCO. Now it feels like a chore. 🥺 Please let us restore old versions. Please..Version: 192.1

Terrible Gallery ManagementThis is my first time writing a review for VSCO. First of all I love this app, I do every photo editing on it. However since the update, I find it extremely irritating in photo management. Please bring back the old fashion import and export method. Somehow it allows me to edit photos without importing, nice touch but, somehow it prompts up to ask me to import to studio. Now that’s very inconsistent and bad..Version: 196.1

Meh.I’ve used vsco for a while to edit my photos, and it’s been pretty good as i’ve been able to make most of the filters i’ve wanted,, but recently it’s been glitching a lot and i’ve been unable to edit my photos. i’ll add them in and it won’t let me click edit even if i restart the app multiple times. It also crashes a lot,, and randomly deletes my filter recipes which is VERY annoying. I’d recommend Polarr over Vsco as you can add as many of your own filters without charge, and there’s more features on polarr + it rarely glitches/crashes..Version: 168.0

I hate u vscoI hate u vsco.Version: 56.0

Not crazy about the new updateThe introduction of the camera roll and a separate drafts décrions makes the user interface confusing and more difficult to navigate. Loved the old set up!.Version: 196.1

Suggestion for paid membersI LOVE the app and I absolutely love the entire platform, however as a paid member I would like the ability to sign into my account online on my laptop and edit photos from there. I feel like paid members would be able to get even more from the platform as this would allow members to see colors and filters more clearly and allow members to make even better/smarter editing decisions. I went to do this one time because when I printed out the photo after I edited it, and it didn’t turn out the way I thought it would but yet it looked great on my phone app. I’ve used the app less because of this only because I don’t feel like I’m getting a true editing experience. It only makes sense to me, as you can access VSCO on a computer already and can log in and even browse around! You’d think I could at least edit the photos I’ve uploaded under my profile before I post them on the VSCO feed. I will more than likely cancel my subscription and find another app that will allow me to make edits on my laptop as well. Giving it 3 stars for now until VSCO gives paid members a little more freedom outside of the app itself..Version: 169.1

Annoying changesI used to love this app and then they made some weird changes and they made it user unfriendly... no idea why... i’m barely using it anymore.Version: 196.1

??Why have dms been removed?.Version: 210.0

From art to greedThis used to be a great app. I paid for a ton of filters and bundles over the years and I loved it. I thought it was well worth it. But as time goes by, they release useless and annoying updates that just make everything more and more complicated trying to trick you into buying more stuff and now subscribing to it. It’s a photo app. A subscription? Really?!? What’s even worse is that filters I used and loved and paid for have “disappeared” and now I have to pay more to get what I already had..Version: 129.0

Every update makes it less usableThe subject says it all, it has all you need — high quality and aesthetically excellent filters, perspective, grain and other editing tools, curated posts, great community and overall simplicity and minimalist ethos. Guys were quick in resolving the previous bugs. The most recent update makes editing very hard — now it just fetches all photos from the library; then, after editing a photo, it loses all the filters (e.g. folder, unedited) and goes to the top of the list. So I need to scroll and apply filters and folder after EVERY photo. This is very frustrating. It was so easy and intuitive previously — you just import all the selected photos, edit them in the app and safely export to a separate album..Version: 195.1

Update lets it downI’ve always loved using this app but since the update, it’s constantly crashing, doesn’t load my photos (and they’re all out of order/missing when it does) and often doesn’t save them to the camera roll when it says it has. Really disappointed as this was my go-to editing app and now it’s such a frustration to use. Please take it back to the good old days when all the photos were saved to the studio without any need for internet connection, and it wasn’t constantly crashing on me!.Version: 135.0

It used to be great, now UX is poorVsco was probably one of the first apps I purchased at all and I fell in love with the concepts and the editing capabilities straight away. Unfortunately, after the update a few months ago it has been unusable and I had to switch to Lightroom. It has become hard to navigate, photos are all over the place, I can’t choose multiple photos to move to drafts, everything looks messy and as a UX/UI designer myself I do not understand how most of the new layouts were approved. Happy to give more specific feedback but please bring back the old vsco if you don’t want to lose more customers..Version: 217.0

Please give me back my paid preset filter packs!I have been using VSCO since its early days. I love the basic editor - the VSCO team have made so many great improvements to it over the years. I loved it so much I bought almost all the VSCO preset filter packs. Today I noticed that most of my presets are locked again, requiring a subscription to unlock. I know you need to make money going forward, but I paid for these preset filter packs under the pretence that I would have access to them for as long as I used the app. I’m frustrated and disappointed, particularly because there wasn’t any warning - just log in one day and your access is gone. Please give me back the preset filter packs!.Version: 183.0

PhotosI do really like vsco, but to be honest, this is the first time I’m making a review and I NEVER really had a problem with anything before... but I don’t like the fact that when I delete my photos off camera roll after putting them into vsco, they’ll ALSO delete on vsco too..... can you please change it back to where they’ll stay regardless if they’re deleted on camera roll?😞.Version: 120.0

Add a “seen” or “read” in messagesThis is a wonderful app but the only thing is that I would really like to know if the person I’m messaging has seen or read my message so please do something about this and add this feature aswell another thing is , there’s no way to delete a single message or a message to be able to be deleted on both devices which my only option is to report and I’m still waiting for my report to go through as soon as possible so fix this ASAP aswell please..Version: 60.0

New updates take away good featuresA few of years ago they released a version that meant there was more space between the displayed photos. This was annoying to many people who used VSCO to see how their Instagram feed would look once they uploaded their next photo. We got used to it eventually as at least you could still see how all the photos together. However, with this latest update, photos you delete from your phone’s camera roll are also deleted from VSCO. This completely takes away one of the advantages that there was to using VSCO. I like the filters and everything else VSCO has to offer and I’ve paid for the yearly subscription for the last couple years. However, this latest update has taken away one of the reasons I have for using the app so I think I’ll switch back to one of the free filtering apps once my subscription ends if I don’t get fed up with it before then..Version: 115.0

Bruh it ain’t workingWhy won’t it let me put a user name in ..Version: 200.0

Unable to useI loved using VSCO on my old phone where I had purchased the full amount of filters and editing options. When I upgraded to my new iPhone, all my app subscriptions rolled over except VSCO. It now tells me to pay for a subscription every time I go to use certain locked filters etc. then when it takes me to the subscription says I am already subscribed. So basically I have paid for something I cannot use as there is this huge glitch. I have tried deleting the app then downloading again. The brand new subscription rolled over in October and I thought this might kick it into action but it did not. I’ve tried contacting VSCO to no avail..Version: 190.0

Thanks for the annoying vsco girls!Sksksks and I oop.Version: 132.0

Something seems to have gone awryI love using vsco. It’s my go to editing up and Ive invested a lot into it - subscribe to the yearly membership and love the option to have your own saved filters which I use all the time. However something seems to have happened recently. The app is super clunky now and really really slow. It doesn’t move smoothly when you scroll anymore, sort of freezing and then moving again. Also every time I try to save more than about 4 photos at a time to my camera roll from the app it crashes. Really really annoying and time consuming. Even copying and pasting an edit to more than about 6 photos at a time seems to take an age now when it used to be pretty quick. I thought the issue may have been that I had too many photos imported into the app over the years so I deleted all of them - and yet still no improvement in use ability. Please sort this out! It’s making me want to find another editing tool completely..Version: 126.0

NOT HAPPYSo i got the 7 day free trial to see how everything worked but then i didn’t really use vsco that much after that. I go back to check my bank account to see how much money i have saved up. $15 i see in there. i had around $40 yesterday and then I realised that vsco took my money after the 7 days free trial. vsco took $30 without notifying me or anything. It also won’t let me unsubscribe from the membership..Version: 103.0

Amazing App But Buggy NotificationsOkay, so this is literally my favorite app. I love how it’s based around art and photography compared to like Instagram that’s just about whatever. Another thing that’s better about this than Instagram is with insta, you’re constantly comparing yourself to other people’s accounts. How many likes do they have? How many followers? With VSCO, you don’t have that bc it doesn’t tell you. A+ to you guys. My only complaint is the messaging part. And I realize it’s new so I’ve been trying to give y’all credit and I’m sure you guys will fix it but a lot of times I don’t get notifications even though they’re turned on. Every person I message on there says the exact same thing and that it’s a constant problem. So if you guys could work on that, I’ll gladly change my review to 5 stars. I recommend this app to everyone. It’s wonderful and the community is great. I highly suggest downloading. If you plan on using messaging though, just keep checking them until it’s fixed..Version: 50.0

Not lovin’ the update, manThis new update where it makes you either save or post edited photos, and delete the ones in your library when you delete them from your camera roll, makes everything way more complicated. what if you don’t want to post something to VSCO right away and then you have to go back to your camera roll, import to VSCO again and THEN post. i really like having all my edited photos on the app because it’s accessible for posting to VSCO, and likewise saving to camera roll when i need to. it would be a much better update if there was the option to save your edited photo to your VSCO library, alongside saving to camera roll or posting to VSCO, because not everyone posts all their photos, and not everyone keeps their photos in their camera roll. it would also be a lot better if there was an option before you delete a photo from your camera roll, to decide if you want to delete from your VSCO library as well. i love this app and use it literally all the time, but i’m really bummed by this update and it makes me want to use it a whole lot less..Version: 115.1

New layout is HORRIBLENot sure how new this layout is, if my app just now updated an old update or if this is brand new, but the new layout of the app is HORRIBLE. It is in no way, shape, or form user-friendly. I tend to dump a bunch of pictures into VSCO and then edit them, saving as I go. Now I have to scroll through my camera roll and I can only select ONE PHOTO at a time, I have to edit it right then and there, there’s no option to upload a bunch of pictures and then edit them later, and if I wanted to do that I would have to individually select each picture and “save to drafts” for every single one, scrolling back through my camera roll each time and THEN I can go to the SEPARATE “Drafts” tab to edit it. One of the worst parts of this whole feature is that if I select a picture and edit it right there in the “Studio - Camera Roll” tab, there is no way to save it to my camera roll AND save it to my drafts. So if I want to save it, I have to individually add it to my drafts, then change tabs, and edit/save it from there. If I want to edit it then save it from the Camera Roll tab, I have no way to go back and edit it later because it doesn’t go into my drafts, where it would normally be stored. I cannot emphasize enough, this update is HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE! I am so disappointed and know that VSCO can do much better — it’s as if no one thought these changes through. Very disappointed. Please go back to the old setup..Version: 192.1

Non app owner viewsBecause my viewers of my vsco web page without the application on their phone can only view a certain amount of my content, I have decided to no longer focus on my vsco, which was my highest prioritized platform of social media, and now only focus on my instagram and Facebook. I enjoyed having my vsco as a personal blog type app available for my viewers to look at my page even if they didn’t have the app. Now since vsco requires those to have the app to see all content I must shift my focus to a more easily accessible platform. I wanted to share my art and more personal side but don’t want to be limited because an application wants more users. I thought vsco supported everyone’s differences and sharing those with the world but now I see their focus on strictly obtaining users and making money off of them. This makes me less inclined to utilize vsco and far less inclined to ever purchase again through vsco. Your app brand was different and used to focus on the individual and now you’re just another one of the others, focusing primarily on money and less of the freedom of the user..Version: 91

Hate the new updateThis app used to be a lifesaver for me but the new update is awful. Nothing works the same way, it’s really hard to copy edits, it doesn’t save edited photos to the beginning of the camera roll anymore, you can’t import a whole lot of photos at the same time and basically it’s removed all functionality so I’ve had to switch to using another app instead..Version: 198.0

New updateI LOVE this app I use it everyday, but the new update that doesn’t save your pictures in your “studio” if you delete them off your camera roll REALLY bothers me. I never have many pictures on my camera roll but I know thy if I wanna go back and look at stuff they will be on my vsco. But not anymore! Change it back!.Version: 114.0

VSCO Latest Update is very badI have used VSCO for as long as I can remember and it has always been my go to edit app, however, the new update is horrible! The layout and navigation is confusing and not user friendly, and makes it a lot more complicated to edit and find my images. Additionally the new feature that forces you to modify the image is very frustrating, especially when copying edits. Being able to modify the image should be optional. I have attempted to keep up with this update, however I am sad to say that it is nothing less than extremely disappointing. I know for a fact that I am not the only one saying this, many of my photographer colleagues are having similar issues. Perhaps think about releasing a roadmap tutorial of how all the new features work, or streamline the software back to a more user friendly platform! I am all for change but this is just too much, and quite frankly has made things a lot worse than better..Version: 201.0

What a scamOkay but why did they take the free presets and make them part of the membership?? I think it pretty unfair because people still promote the app yet they want more money by signing up by a member when you have been using the same filters for 4 years straight! Change it back to normal!! It’s pathetic.Version: 139.0

Terrible, every update kicks signs you outThen when I try to sign back in using touch on my iPhone and iPad it says that isn’t my email/password even though I saved my info and use fingerprint records to remind me of all my passwords/email combinations. Bought 12 months subscription last January just after the 1st of January 2018 and couldn’t sign in until the end of autumn and then Xmas update happens and I’m kicked out again. Emailed the company many times goy no response. Left review after review no dev response. Why is this one of the only apps that signs you out every time it upgrades then doesn’t let you sign back in . I lost the original app I bought then paid a subscription then lost that too. Shameless money grabbing.Version: 91

New update is a deal breakerI’ve been using this app for years now, way before it even blew up. now ever since the new update it’s really not worth my membership anymore. modifying the original image or video is the dumbest thing ever. i’m not sure who thought this would be a smart idea but they were wrong. at first i put off writing a review thinking it was just me who was unhappy but after seeing countless comments having the same idea i decided to write. honestly i don’t know who would want to touch up their original photo? it’s illogical. the studio was such a beautiful feature! unfortunately i am really on the fence on about continuing my yearly membership or not coming up in february. really sad since i’ve been using this app for so long but it just isn’t practical anymore. a real shame..Version: 200.0

How do you import multiple photos? How do you paste edits between photos? Horrible update.Version: 196.1

Well...I am not sure why I’m still on VSCO despite every bug and error that has happened. I have been on VSCO for at least 4-5 years. I really loved the app to edit and post photos. About 1-2 years ago I decided to go premium to edit videos as well. I was able to access premium features for about 1 month before it stopped working and asking me to sign up for premium ( but I had already paid). Recently I have been able to edit videos and access premium features, but around 1 week ago I tried posting a picture to VSCO and nothing happened. It loaded for a few seconds and then nothing. Now if I try to upload anything it literally doesn’t do anything and nothing posts. Not sure what is happening- I updated the app and my iphone software and turned off/on my phone numerous times but still nothing- VSCO says to not delete and re-install but I am not sure how to solve this problem... EDIT: I sent a message to vsco support and received some sort of automated message... lol.Version: 178.0

UninstalledThis used to be my favorite app to edit photos but now it’s glitchy and the constant updates don’t fix anything. They have changed a bunch of features and now the app is complicated and confusing to use. You can no longer upload photos, they edit them directly from your camera roll, so if you used to to use the “copy edits” function like I did, when you go to copy an edit to an unedited original photo it will prompt you (on apple at least) asking for permission to “modify photo,” which means it will overwrite the original photo completely. If you paid for an entire year of VSCO premium filters, it will say that the filters are locked and wants you to pay monthly for them. I cannot edit my profile or like and save other creators pictures to my collection because it constantly tells me to verify my email...but I already did when I signed up, when I press the pop up button that says “click her to verify” it disappears completely. If I’m ever going to use VSCO again they need to completely overhaul the user interface and make it easier to understand as well as fix their various glitches..Version: 205.1

ChangesThe new changes made to the app have completely ruined it. You used to be able to upload images to the app and then edit them easily but now you have to edit one by one from you camera roll. The real issue is once you have edited it they save somewhere random and out loose your place in your camera roll which means you have to scroll back to find the rest of the unedited photos! It’s hopeless and so frustrating especially as it doesn’t save the images together so you can’t remember which ones you have edited already. So frustrating and with so many apps doing what VSCO does it’s making me now want to renew my subscription. I’ve used the app for years and used to love it. Please reverse the changes as it’s honestly horrible to use now..Version: 196.1

I don't often leave reviews but this is a TERRIBLE updateThis most recent change to the interface is just not practical... If photos are going to be sorted chronologically, at least give the option to sort it by how it appears in your roll. When you're using multiple apps to edit a photo, it's hard to tell which is the most recent edit and it takes way too long to scroll all the way back to find the photo if it was taken a while ago. When selecting and editing the photo, it overrides the original photo and does not save it for easy access to reedit later if needed (unless saved as a draft first which is an extra step). This extra time is not worth it and I might just use another app now. Please fix this ASAP..Version: 194.0

Ruined the experience over 5 yearsI downloaded this app 5 years ago. Originally I purchased filters one by one for a very low price. Then, they moved to a subscription model. $30 a year for filters. You’re joking right? So I only used the free filters. Today I discovered with the new update, they’ve added a watermark. You’re done. You’ve lost a 5 year customer because of this stupid decision. No one wants a watermark on an app. Even a customer that’s paid for the service in the past, I’m done..Version: 155.1

Yearly subscription but all the premium presets are lockedI loved the app, but now I can’t use it for my favourite, premium presets ever since I had to do a reset on my phone. Every time I go to the app it asks me if I want to “start free trial” or “try it out”, but when I do it recognises I have a yearly subscription. At one point I used to be able to cancel the subscription and then “renew” it and that would unlock the premium presets, but now not even that works and it looks like I won’t be able to use the app again until after my yearly subscription ends in February 2020. I’ve never been more frustrated or disappointed with an app before. I even tried going to their website to see if I could contact support or use a web version of the app, but alas to no avail..Version: 164.0

DisappointedBeen using vsco for about 5 years now and I am thinking about canceling my subscription. This new update is difficult to navigate, especially for anyone who is getting into photography/editing photos. I don’t like that I can’t actually upload the images and I’m “editing” right from my camera roll. So it modifies the edits over the original in your camera roll. Not only that, but to edit a photo one by one, even if you copy and paste Murillo is time consuming and annoying. Also my images that I save into my drafts aren’t saving to my camera roll either, so I have to click each photo I want edited from the “camera roll” section. I’m really disappointed because I use vsco mainly for my personal work when I’m on the go. I use Lightroom as well but I liked the style that vsco gave to the photos. Unfortunately, I’m just going to spend some time making my own presets for Lightroom mobile similar to the ones I liked from vsco because I will be canceling. Very disappointed..Version: 195.1

It's great but..I love VSCO and I use to edit all my photos, the only thing is that I only have access to 10 filters. I would be willing to pay if it was one payment; for example some apps cost $1.99 etc and once you pay, you have it forever. On VSCO however, it's a continuous payment - I really think this is unnecessary because it's always the same filters. Just make it cost like $5 or something for a permanent membership and I'm sure more people will pay for that..Version: 100

Best filters/film look presets app, periodNew version Dec 2020 I had to change my rating from 5 to 1 as the new version has brought a confusing UI and plenty of bugs. It’s basically a riddled with them. Why fix something that’s not broken?Come on guys! Give me a reason to continue my subscription. —— VSCO has been simply the best app when it comes to getting a nice film look with an amazing collection of LUTs and presets. Then why 4 stars? That comes down to the lack of some options to make this the only photo editing app you need. I would love to see: 1- Export setting: control resolution and quality of exported image 2- Grain simulation for video 3- Aspect ratio options for video 4- More raw controls 5- More control over border options 6- Improved algorithms for shadow and highlight pull/push Just to mention a few... I really don’t want to use multiple apps to edit my photos when I can see VSCO can become the one stop for all basic editing needs. Thanks and keep up the good work..Version: 195.1

Very dissapointedI have an iphone 4 (ancient I know) and have been using VSCO since the beginning because it is the best photo editorial app around that constantly delivers quality and change. But now I can't buy more pre-sets or get other features because of the new update for iOS8 (which isn't supported for iPhone4!) and I'm highly disappointed that nothing has been done for loyal customers who don't have the need to buy the latest iPhone just for an update!!! The support team sound like a bunch of robots who have an automatic response too!.Version: 4.0.3

New update is TRASHThe recent update is an absolute interface nightmare. Cancelled my subscription immediately. Very disappointed. Such an ugly and hard-to-use platform now, have to accept “Modify” button on every single photo just to export, can’t import multiple photos into Drafts folder easily and simply. Idiotic changes. So bothered after years of consistent use.Version: 196.1

Disappointed with VSCO membershipIn another method to earn profit, VSCO have decided make their users sign up to a yearly subscription to gain access to all their editing tools. Users, including myself, who have already paid money to access all of these existing tools, will now have to fork out more money to use things they’ve already paid for. To say I’m disappointed is an understatement. I have been using this app for 5+ years to edit my photos and now I’m questioning whether I will continue to use VSCO Cam in the future. Why couldn’t you just create more filters and earn money from there? Or what about creating templates for Insta stories and charging money for it? I’m confused as to why you are now making existing users pay more money to use things they’ve already paid for..Version: 108.0

New updateHonestly I used to love this app so much but with the new update everything is so different, I am unable to save my drafts to my camera roll and i find the set out very confusing to navigate it’s just more difficult than it has to be now.Version: 196.1

Bugs kill the experienceShould be a great app, but unfortunately it seems they rushed the release and didn't test the app properly. With loads of crashes, missing filters and tools, I've reinstalled multiple times, getting access to different filters each time. It'd be great to know which filters I can expect to have. The app also runs and previews edits far slower than other more comprehensive popular editing apps. Some very nice filters, but the all bugs are killing it so far... Hoping some future updates can make it usable!.Version: 2.0.2

Not worth itThe free version is just as good albeit may take longer to get the edit you’re after. Plus there is no free 7 day trial as advertised - Apple takes the charge as a hold and you can’t cancel before the end of the 7 days..Version: 119.0

Doesn’t connect to iTunes storeEven though there are some free presets you can’t download them as the app keeps telling you it can’t connect to the iTunes store..Version: 143.1

And I oop-It's okay I guess, the only down fall for me is that most of the good filters are needed to be bought. I never really considering downloading VSCO but I finally decided to. I'm trying to sound harsh or stubborn but I was expecting a little more because it would really help with my edits I make. Other than that the other stuff is good. I know writing a review before exploring the whole app isn't a good idea and I could possibly find another downfall again but I don't think there is much that could be a problem other than the good filters being part of a membership. Save the turtles sksksksksksksk 🐢.Version: 143.1

Crashes all the timeLong time user of VSCO since it first came out. This is the first time I’ve had such a terrible user experience. - Very slow and buggy - Freezes almost every time I try to import or export - Finding the new UI with extra steps a bit frustrating. For example when I finish editing a photo I used to be able to export straight away (save to camera roll), but now I have to click on ‘next’ THEN export. Sounds simple but when the app is slow, that extra step is painful..Version: 175.0

Bring back filter A5Bring back A5 filter for the free use.Version: 48.1

Used to be great but ruined by the new updateThe new update makes the app extremely frustrating. Especially for anyone who needs to mass edit, copy & paste edits, the new update is a nightmare. The differentiation between the new “drafts” tab and “camera roll” tab is extremely confusing and unnecessary. Why would you split the images into two folders? Whenever editing in the camera roll tab, vsco creates a duplicate of the same image which also got me quite confused many times. Shame that such a great app, which was super quick & convenient to use, is now an absolute hassle with most features not making much sense. Additionally edited photos sometimes don’t save with the correct edit....Version: 195.0

New updateVSCO is always going to be my favourite editing app but the new update has made it quite annoying to select many pictures at once etc. Please change it back, was much easier to use and more functional!!.Version: 199.0

Never loadsMy vsco app NEVER loads. Every other app that i have loads perfectly fine but vsco is a problem. maybe it’s not just my wifi, maybe it’s a problem with the app.Version: 35.1

Stop all the unnecessary weekly updates!!!!!Stop releasing unnecessary and fake updates every week. I have to update this moronic app every week because the VSCO company releases fake versions with zero improvements every week just so they can stay relevant and fresh in the App Store. The App Store rewards apps that have regular updates, and sneaky developers take advantage of this by releasing new versions with zero updates and claim that they’re updating the app. It’s all BS, nonsense, unnecessary and pointless and horrible for the end user. Get your app right, then stop all updates until you have some new feature to introduce, but don’t be sneaky and misleading! Stop claiming that you are doing bug fixes and improvements because everyone knows that you are not! VSCO is a stable app and has been for a long time there are no issues so stop all the nonsense..Version: 108.0

VSCO journals/ new updateThis used to be my favorite social media app because it has never been related to likes or the amount of followers you have. I have been using VSCO for over 6 years now and recently the quality of the app has GREATLY depleted. I am constantly having issues with cropping my photos. I woke up this morning to see my app had updated and that all my Journals were removed. I looked up online and found that VSCO has gotten rid of the journal section for good starting today. I have 6 years of photo journals on this app, that are now all deleted. They creators said this change happened because journals are not creative and they want to keep this a creative space. Well I have been using journals to group photos together like an online scrapbook. Along with that I am an artist and use them to keep track of my progress, so remind me why that isn’t creative enough for you? I am so upset by the removal of journals and all my hard work on keeping my journals up to date with good captions is now gone. The least they could have done was give a warning about this so I could have saved them before they got completely removed. And worst of all I tried contacting the VSCO team to see if there is a way to recover my journals and they have zero information on their website on how to get in touch. Not even an email..Version: 202.0

NEW UPDATE IS SHOCKING! SUCH A SHAME!The app has been one of the best out there until the new update.. It’s unusable!!! Doesn’t do the basics such as saving your edited image that you’ve spent ages working on! The studio space is confused - it used to be really clear, where you chose to upload images that you wanted to edit, but instead, you now have your full camera roll and you have to scroll through or add filters to try and find the image you’ve just edited!! This makes the display of studio really messy and just a hassle! It also doesn’t load images that are new to your camera roll (ones you’ve just taken) instead you have to wait for ages, closing and opening the app again and again! Such a shame as this was one of the best editing apps to use before the update in 2020 :(.Version: 196.1
