Phone app is frustratingThe phone app only works occasionally. I wish it synced the items I added into my phone to my iPad so when my phone isn’t working then I can use my iPad. But it doesn’t. It’s very frustrating..Version: 4.1

NEW UPDATE IS HORRIBLE!!I’ve been using chase checkout for over a yr and a half, no problems! I had to update the app today in order to keep using it, and now the entire site is completely different, a lot less options to navigate through, and now I cannot email my customers a receipt. BAD BAD BAD.Version: 4.1

GlitchyApp closes itself if a card sale doesn’t go through for any reason. You then have to restart the whole app. Why not just take you to a screen that says declined? It’s so much harder to go back and figure out what happened in the transaction..Version: 4.1

Wasn’t great before, the last update made it horrendousOften can’t connect to the card reader, randomly times out. It’s virtually unusable..Version: 4.3

More updated problemsSeveral weeks ago, my card reader stopped working. Contacted Chase and they sent me the new "Blue" reader. Comes without instructions, but pretty self explanatory. Charged all day and then paired it the following. First card, wouldn't work. Called support and a half hour later, they determined it was faulty and would send another one. A week later, my neighbor brought it to me since FedEx stupidly brought it them the week before. Same process. Same result. Called support. Same result. Just done. Chase doesn't care how much money I am losing (as they are making more)..Version: 4.3.1

1980s app!Man switch to paypal to here and this is completely outdated and not compatible with the iPad. Such a huge company you would think this wouldn’t be an issue. Login every time. For sure needs some updated and better merchant service..Version: 4.2.2

New update messed it upNew update now causes constant timeout errors. Payments have to be attempted multiple times, and receipts are not being sent to customers. Glitching now makes it so that extra steps have to be taken just to charge a customer or send a receipt by going through sales history. Very annoying..Version: 4.3

C’mon this app needs a faceliftI moved from paypal here to chase payments and I feel offended that Chase even is promoting this garbage at the branch... will be moving back to PPHere until someone takes a lil bit more pride with this product..Version: 3.15.0

Timeout and Pairing ErrorsThe September 2023 app update caused terrible timeout errors and freezing issues for over a month, that forced us to go cash-only for weeks. Phone support wait times ranged up to 90 minutes and always involves offshore rep transferring to onshore rep where hold times are even longer. Support reps claim they aren’t aware of known issues easily found in these App Store ratings. Timeout errors seem to have reduced after 2 months but the card reader now often disconnects / unpairs from the app in the middle of transactions without warning. Chase setup documentation for pairing a card reader is okay, but there is zero troubleshooting documentation for re-pairing a disconnected reader. Do better Chase!.Version: 4.3.1

DisappointingI can’t even log on to the app. Rather I can long on but it doesn’t go past log on screen when I sign on to app. I can log on to the website so I know I’m putting in right logon information. App has been useless for me..Version: 4.1

Keeps rebootingEvery few days the app keeps rebooting and I need to remember to sync the card reader, otherwise I end up punching the card numbers and pay more for the transaction. When I called to complain they completely ignored me stating that they never heard about this issue and since I am the only one they have nothing to do..Version: 4.2

GarbageGreat rates, terrible app. With the money they aren’t making on rates they are skimping on product. Don’t waste your time. I’ll stick with QuickBooks. Chase is great, developers of this app not so much!It looks like it was designed for the iPhone 5, which came out in 2012. The customer service for this paymentech processing service is not on the same level as the standard Chase banking and credit card services. Update the app interface, and I will gladly use the service. For now, however, I’ll stick with Square..Version: 3.14.0

New update ruined the appApp had been working mediocre at best, but still worked. After their most recent update the app is an absolute pain to use. Update still glitchyThey need to fix their app, or at the very least roll it back until they get it fixed. I have had the app stall out trying to log out. It stalls out on most all of my transactions. It stalls out sending receipts. Even if the old version was old and outdated, at least it worked..Version: 4.3

Error LSSOn our busiest day this app stopped working. Gave Error LSS which asked us to update the app, when we go to update it, it only says “open”, takes us back to the app and the cycle continues. Customer service hold time was well over 40 minutes. Their solution was to use the browser to log in which was useless. I don’t recommend using Chase for merchants..Version: 4.2.2

Aweful lately.We’ve been using this app for business for a while. And since the update recently it’s been horrible. It doesn’t auto log you out at the end of the day anymore. Which is nice buuuuut the next day when you try to do a sale it won’t process. Just spins and spins. You have to log out. But logging out doesn’t even work because it spins and spins trying to log out. Even closing the app doesn’t work. This week alone I’ve had to delete the app and re-download daily..Version: 4.3

Fix this messEver since the update I can’t take payments from HSA accounts. My clients have no issues anywhere else using an HSA card. It continuously force closes. It’s been a nightmare. My clients are mad and I’m losing income. Fix this!!!.Version: 4.0.1

DecentWorks most of the time. Logging in is incredibly clunky. It needs to support Touch ID but even if it would work with password managers I could deal with it but it’s just so hard to login it takes 5 minutes just to set it up while my customer is waiting..Version: 4.1

AVOID chase - ready to become an almost ex chase customerSo I got an offer to open a savings and checking account with chase. I already have a credit card with them. All started off well being pretty easy to open the accounts. The problem came when trying to fund the account. They kept rejecting it (from my other verified account) and locking everything I had with them. Kept happening even after calling in multiple times. It’s like they don’t want customers. CHASE URGENT!New Update is very glitchy!!!!Just like one of the other reviewers stated; when I try to process a sale in the Chase Mobile credit card reader it keeps saying the sale is timed out and it does that multiple times until the sale finally goes through after an extremely frustrating 3-4 attempts. Then finally it will go through and the receipt screen will pop up. Chase Merchant please hire app developers who know what they are doing and fix this issue before all of us start processing with Square, PayPal or another company!!!!!.Version: 4.3

Too outdated and inconvenient.Chase has the best card processing rates I’ve found so far. But these savings do have a catch. Their online point of sale and app are severely outdated and inconvenient to use. Between the two I much prefer the online experience. It’s barebones and does get the job done. The app, however, is so frustratingly ugly and old I will not use it. Most people these days use Face ID, their fingerprint, or apps to save an original and secure password. You are unable to use Face ID, a fingerprint, or paste your password from a password vault. My guess is most people will create a more simple password to remember for convenience. Aesthetically the app looks like it was designed for the original iPhone. The app is not updated for current displays and uses a very old style keyboard. This is a concern. If the app looks this old and lacks this many features I’m worried about the app’s security. Use at your own risk..Version: 3.13.0

App needs updatesApp does not flip when the orientation of the device is flipped, this is very inconvenient as that is how the customer tips and views the sale. App does not support face or thumb ID for login. App size does not scale to all devices. I will change my rating to 5 stars when the app gets its updates..Version: 4.2.2

Don’t.Probably the most primitive , old fashion bugged app in the history of checkout. Not only do you have to change password every time , Every version that updates on smartphones need the app to stand its requirements- this app had not been updated in the last 7 months! I own 3 mobile checkout devices and am not able to use any of them for two weeks now . The decision to use this merchant services had greatly damaged my business and i have one advice for you guys. Just don’t. Go and use square, they charge a few penny’s more a month but they will never disappoint you :)..Version: 3.15.0
