✓ DEFINITELY recommendWilly weather is so great and if you think otherwise READ. Not only is Willy weather really reliable it has so much features like you can see how high the uv rays are going to be, tides, swells, moon rise, rain fall, sun rise & set, snow and much more. This is one of the most accurate weather apps ever. Although the app might not be as ‘aesthetically pleasing’ as some of the other apps but ask yourself do they have so much information and accurate weather, most likely not, so I DEFINITELY Recommend this weather app.Version: 2.9.6

✓ By far the best weather appThis is the best weather app I have come across! The UI is simple and easy to use, but incredibly informative. They use Met Office data which is definitely more trustworthy than other data sources. Great customisation of notifications for alerts, weather updates and rain. Really impressed with it! One suggestion would be to add home screen widgets similar to what the Apple weather app offers. If we had that, I wouldn’t be able to fault the app!.Version: 2.10.3

✓ All weathersThe most accurate weather forecast around. Wind speeds, tides, rain, moon, you name it. Once we were wild camping on a beach in the Hebrides, rain had been lashing all night and I suddenly realised the tide was approaching our tent. I checked with Willy who said ‘ high tide in 4 mins’ and sure enough, the waves started to recede shortly afterwards. Whether you’re in the wild or lying at home waiting for the wind to die down so you can sleep, this is the best app to have..Version: 2.10.0

✓ At last I’m down to one app!Over the years I have used many weather apps. At present I have 10 (Yes 10!) apps on my phone and iPad to track the weather. I surf and paddle board and really need to know a lot of info before I venture out. I came across this app from a paddle boarder who has paddled over the world and round the country and provides Ted talks with a wealth of experience. She recommended this app as one of her essential items to have for her travels. She was right! This app is spot on. Other apps I have all miss something which caused me to toggle between them to paint a full Picture prior to my trips. This does that and it’s live as close as it can be. No 1-3 hours ago reporting this is as live as it can be. Wind, tide, swell radar, warnings etc etc all there! One “minor” point. I can’t get the widgets to display on my Apple Watch 7 yet even after following the instructions. I’m sure this will be resolved in a future update. The price is fab for the full version too. I have paid a lot for subscription versions which as I have said before don’t have all I need. Get it!!!.Version: 2.9.11

✓ Very goodThis is without a doubt the best weather app I’ve come across. The ui is very good, and isn’t over designed like many weather apps. The layout has a high level of information density and is easy to navigate. Was immediately contacted and asked for details. Through a bit of troubleshooting, we were able to isolate the conditions that caused the problem (within graph plot, don’t turn off real-time temp). ✓ Simple yet customizableLove this app. I tried so many weather apps and they were too fat and bogged down that I was constantly waiting to get the weather and sifting through ads. Willy Weather is clean and simple. It takes a few minutes to get used to the plot charts but once you do, you can customize several weather factors to view simultaneously. ✓ Comprehensive and easy to useI have been using WillyWeather for a number of years and it is my go to weather app. A couple of years ago I relocated to Tasmania where the weather can change rapidly. Great use of colours and inclusion with dark mode. Very reliable. Could I suggest a new feature: in the same list of cities that users select to find out precise weather/forecasts, etc., about a particular city, could you include a button to show the next days forecast? Currently the list of cities shows the ‘current’ temperature, it would be handy to see at a glance the forecast without clicking into each one. ✓ Still use the app.....but very disappointed with update!Update: maps much better and rain radar easy to use again.....increase from 1 to 4 stars again 😃 The app itself is fantastic and I have used it for many years and would not be without it now for all the accurate information, alerts and weather! However, I must admit to being extremely disappointed with the some of the new format when updated Why change the maps? Extremely frustrating trying to work out how to use them now when previously one touch you had satellite, synoptic etc. Am not a fan of this!!!! It does however lose another 1 star as they have introduced ads to the app which is quite distracting & then charge like everyone else to have them removed. ✓ Great App!I’ve used Willy Weather for about 10 years now. I need something I can rely on as I have been running a business that is based around the weather. Willy Weather is reliable and accurate. It’s easy to use, engaging and fun. My only request is if you could access the tide ranges for the future. It only gives you a week in advance. ✓ Rain radarI’m not happy with your new rain radar arrangement. Use to like being able to click on different weather stations to get the rain radar for that particular zone. My present version where you have national/regional doesn’t all ways select but even when it does you have to have selected a town in the area. Just my gripe thank. ✓ Best Aus weather app but needs workNot too many weather apps use BOM data so slim pickings for us in Australia, but this is probably the best of the lot. However, it would help a lot if the app was optimised for Dark mode as it is uncomfortably white at night and the widget retains the pale background which doesn’t fit with native widgets. Also, it does not seem to allow an account to be made via the app, and support/feedback requires such an account. EDIT: changed to 5 stars with dark mode update, thank you!.Version: 2.8

✓ RolexSydneyHobart competitors experienceWhen I compete in the Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race it involves 6 weeks of sailing for 2,500 nautical miles. Adelaide to Sydney 1000 miles, Sydney to Hobart 630 miles then Hobart to Adelaide 900 miles. In all that distance the forecast is pretty well spot on and reliable. The wind velocity and direction is as predicted virtually the whole way , only upset by the occasional severe thunderstorm where the storm is predicted but the wind direction and velocity may be a little more uncertain. ✓ I love it but it needs a tweakI love this app, I’m a weather nerd and this one has all the general information I want on a daily basis in one place. A new feature is audio notifications. It’s a great idea but the execution is very annoying and disrupting at times. I would like to be able to tweak the sensitivity of alerts in the same way that I can with the Rain Parrot app, which tells me if there’s rain coming but I can choose the hours I want to be notified within (not bedtime), how much rain I want to know about and when (I don’t bother with light rain, just heavier, and only 20minutes or less out, not an hour away because I live in a rain shadow and most of those alerts end up being a false alarm). I would like to be able to turn off audio sheep graziers and flood warnings as I live in the district but those warnings don’t apply to me, but keep storm, wind and fire weather type warnings. If you could continue to develop the usefulness and personalisation of notifications it will only improve Willy Weather. Then I would happily rate it 5 stars..Version: 2.10.3

✓ Good data but slow, clunky, not very iOS-likeThis app definitely has a lot of data, anything you want to know, basically. And it’s BOM data so it’s as good as it gets for weather. My only complaint really is that it’s kinda slow and clunky to use, it feels like it’s been designed not for iOS using the latest native widgets, but adapted to work on it, somewhat inefficiently. Perhaps it’s fine on newer devices, but not so much on older ones (even those still very capable of running iOS 13). ✓ UV ratings very important for many!Great to get it every day! Had forgotten about it, since local stations often no longer carry it! One old Chicago Station does WGR! I have a work history in the early 1970’ies in a hospital radiation therapy dept! I think I am now more sensitive than ever to the light frequency! Fair skinned, but not that fair! Had dark hair in middle years! Born blond, so my pale green eyes are the flag re my light wave lengths’ intolerances!! They have always faded to almost yellow in the summer! Prevention of origin of those forgotten head aches I used to get will be helped by your site, etc. do key is knowing the U-V rating everyday! I lived near East Germany in the 1960’s! Avoidance is best in our high output month now! They prepared for everything; even had iodine liquid kits for school kids in case of a blast yielding rads! Just remember natural iodine, in even flowers, carries their pigments, hence the flowers’ intense colors jump out at one anywhere, but especially along the sea coast of Maine where the ocean has a history high iodine content! ✓ Pretty good!I like this weather app for a number of reasons: it covers all the locations I am interested in, it gives sufficiently detailed forecasts straight from the BOM, it has moon phases and tide info, and is very easy to navigate. I really like the little wind wheel, even though it sometimes disagrees with the graph below. If I could also look back over the day’s stats, or even the last three days, the app would be even better. Also, more detailed info on barometric pressure would be good..Version: 2.0.1
✓ Great weather AppI’ve always liked Willy weather as an app. I fluctuate between the standard Apple Weather app and WillyWeather. Willy weather has all the information that is relevant to my location and even has some great animations to illustrate current conditions. The only downside about this app is that it is starting to look a little dated when compared to the iOS 17 standard weather app. However, the simplicity of Willy weather keeps me coming back. As satisfying to say as it is to use, ‘Willy’-Weather gives me all the info I want, all I need, and then some - (adverts). ✓ GlitchWhen accessing the satellite feature of your app, the uploading advertisement causes a jump to the start of the page and quite often it takes several attempts to load the satellite function. Showing the history of rainfall would be useful. I can search it elsewhere and your app shows me from an external search, yet I cannot access it on your App. I don’t mind being forced to see advertisements as long as the platform performs. ✓ Most Accurate of the Weather AppsI’m a weather geek and have seven different weather forecast apps on my phone. As western North America suffers under a record shattering heat dome I’ve been paying even more attention to the weather than usual. During this unprecedented extreme weather Willy has been nailing the hour by hour forecasts. It is far more accurate than the other apps on my phone. Besides the accuracy I really appreciate Willy’s informative and intuitive graphical display of forecast and recorded temperatures. You can also choose other displays such as forecast and actual precipitation, etc. I might appreciate the graphical design, but everyone should appreciate the accuracy..Version: 2.10.3

✓ App stopped workingThe app has stopped working on my iPhone for the last two days. Went from 5 stars to zero . I have turned the phone off and on and no pages. The top and bottom buttons show but don’t respond to any amount of pressure with only blank picture. The site still works on my tablet but not phone . Is there anyone else who is having the same problem Thank you for responding, I did remove and reinstall the app and fixed the problem. The advice of the add free removal reinstall was a bonus. ✓ Good app but some info could be clearerI find this app to be a decent replacement for my former favourite weather app (now discontinued). However, I do find some aspects of the UX to be a bit confusing particularly around the rain forecast. For me it’s hard to see the forecast amount + probability. I think it’s the probability over the day that’s on the graph but I always seem to have to hunt around for the forecast amount. By the time we see the observations it’s too late for planning! Still, this app is still good enough to pay for the no ads option. But for me maybe not quite worth paying for the ad unlock twice for the iPad that stays at home..Version: 2.8.2

Being so reliable has saved vehicles and other stuff that could get damage d due to storms and hail. It is also very, very helpful for our large frog pond (a converted swimming pool come frog pond) as we know when we need to take water out of the pool to save tadpoles and fish being flushed due to too much rain. This is most important to me as I am building up the frog population, with great success. We have an endangered frog on our farm, and the numbers are in the up!!! Thank you!!!! ✓ Good but not perfect!I have to say I’m a bit of a weather app tragic and I’ve been a Pocket Weather AU customer since it launched. I’m now using Willy Weather since the new owners of Pocket Weather decided to close it down. Willy Weather is a good app and I can get most of the information I need but it’s missing some simple functionality which would make it even better - mostly a quick way to scroll between different cities you’ve added easily and different weather options like temp, rain, wind, etc. rather than having to select from a menu all the time. Scrolling between pages would turn a 3-4 step process into a simple swipe. You can do all the things you need but not simply by swiping and that would improve the hell out of a good app. For now, I’m running with Willy Weather..Version: 2.9.2
✓ Great potential marred by technical issuesI like a lot of things about this app but the implementation leaves a few things to be desired. Occasional crashes and dodgy scrolling on the Weather view (particularly at the bottom near the radar) are minor but I can tolerate. The worst thing is the way the app frequently has to reload the forecast when coming to the foreground after multitasking. Almost every time I come back to Willie Weather from using another app, it either launches from scratch, or decides to reload the forecast data which may only be minutes old. ✓ Best weather App for the Apple WatchAt the moment the best and probably the only weather app for Apple Watch that shows the current temperature. If I can make a suggestion to have the Feel Like temperature enabled to be shown in a complication in addition to the current and max temperatures. Leaving in Melbourne where the temperatures fluctuate from 5 to 25 in winter and 10 to 45 in summer and the max temperatures usually last only couple of hours, majority being in the lower half and where the cold winds make huge difference to what the actual outside temperature is compared to what the official BOM thermometer can measure. Granted some NOAA apps are amazing, but also require too many clicks. ✓ All the informationWilly Weather here in Queensland works just fine. All the weather data I need is in it. Radar is available and works well. Tides are given in interactive graphic format and the details of height and time are all there. The interface is functional and easy to use once you learn your way around it. It’s my go-to app for detailed information at the start of the day. Their weather widget is filled with information and can even substitute for opening the app itself if you’re in a hurry. Weather data seems to come from the nearest airport rather than a local station (unlike Weather Underground’s), but that as far as I can see is the only drawback..Version: 2.6.1

✓ Love the text forecast – maps need workI love all the info presented in this app and it’s graphical presentation of stats and data. Love the text forecast! But here in SWFL radar maps that are very local complete with storm cell info as well as lightning are very important. So a regional radar based over 100 miles away without this data is disappointing. One less star although is importance would dictate the subtraction of two stars.
