✓ AdsUsed to love this game ages ago, was looking for a game to waste my time on so i thought this would do for the time being, i thought wrong. Upon entering the game i do 6 easy first levels, no encountered ads. I then get an offer to remove ads or i can choose to continue playing with them so i choose to keep the ads. After pressing continue i am instantly greeted with an ad that i simply close out of, but now after every time i solve just 1 single puzzle i have an ad. Its quite ridiculous how much ads one must suffer through to enjoy a game, i tried going offline but to my surprise that did not work. Shame it is really..Version: 61.33.3

✓ Not challenging enough!This game is not very difficult - a five year old could probably get through it pretty easily. If you want a mindless way of spending time then this is probably right for you. For the free version, it’s understandable that there should be ads, but I’ve never seen a free app with this many interruptions!!! Every 2-3 rounds you get a full screen ad popping up. ✓ AnnoyedWow!! The game had a massive glitch, everytime i went into the game a very horrible sound would come up, nothing i do would stop it, so i deleted the app and reinstalled it. And now im back to the begining which has really annoyed me as i was over 1000 levels after playing off and on for years!! ✓ Used to be GoodSo I’ve had this game for many years and I think the user base is getting tired of the “bug fixes and performance enhancements” updates which are really just adding more advertisements. There is absolutely no need for the giant orange ask a friend for help button at the bottom of the screen. It takes up space and has no function. When you click on it it just highlights the other 3 buttons on the right side of the screen. I have no interest in growing your user base by inviting others to play, and that is essentially why these buttons exist. Instead of saying “Ask a friend” it should say “Ask a friend so they can download the game and spend money on it! We love money! Come on just click it!” The buttons are so intrusive that you’ll end up clicking on them anyway when you don’t intend to. You know what? ✓ Update caused problemA friend request for help forced me to update my app. Since then, I cannot receive requests for help from that friend anymore for some reason. But I can still ask him for help. This was a fun part of the game for us, and now we can’t do that anymore :( Also, since updating, I now have ads for other games & chances for more points, which is also annoying, since I paid extra for no ads. ✓ Not A FanI downloaded this game because I thought I remembered a friend having it years ago and it was fun to collectively put our minds to it in order to figure the puzzles out...I don't know if this is somehow a different game but it's not at all the same experience. The puzzles are ridiculously easy and they never increase in difficulty. By level 250 they were still not even slightly challenging, and I gave up due to sheer boredom. ✓ Good game but poor softwareI used to play this couple of years back with no regrets. Wanted to play again and downloaded last week, after a several attempts the pictures wasn't loading but the letters were there, insisting I have poor connection but I don’t. Deleted and reinstalled again starting from the beginning with loosing all the coins and IQ levels etc however, same story repeated again after a while. ✓ Get rid of annoying “Puzzle IQ”Update October 2023 I was just about to pay to eliminate ads when the game creators, in their wisdom, added the Puzzle IQ nag screen. It occurs when IQ improves a level, and is an annoying time waster, almost as bad as those ads I was going to get rid of by paying. Previous review: Inconsistency: What gives?!? April 2016 Why does the app on my iPod Touch tell me that, at level 3427, I've completed all levels? (no more to download) and yet on my iPad I'm at level 3433 and it appears there are more levels to come. The word associated with all 4 pics is sometimes a huge stretch in at least one picture. I did not take a star away for that but I did for these 3 flaws, and rated it thusly: Loses a star because you SHOULD be able to click on the individual picture and then click again to enlarge that picture. Sometimes you just can't tell what the picture is supposed to be!! Also loses a star because you should be able to scramble the letters to get different configurations. ✓ Not really playable anymoreI used to play this years ago and decided to play again. It’s not really worth it I’m afraid. In the early stages you get the word immediately so after one second you’re watching an ad, then you get another go and one second later, another ad. And so on … Couldn’t you introduce the ads after maybe 5 turns in the early stages? Then when they get harder, make them more frequent? At the moment you’re probably getting hundreds of people giving up on the game in the early stages because of a new ad after 1 second of play! If you block anything, it takes you to the App Store and if you don’t, you just keep having to watch a longer commercial. Strike #1. When you first start playing, you can’t get to the settings to turn off the sound. Strike #2. To remove ads, it is $5.99. When I first started playing this app years ago, I really had to think about the answers to most of the puzzles which I don’t need to do now. So disappointing! Also, the transition from one puzzle to the next is too slow. Next, I would like a button that drops all of the letters back down when I get an incorrect answer on one of the few puzzles that is challenging. On those same few challenging puzzles, I don’t want to have to put the letters in the boxes starting with the first letter; I may want to place some vowels in some of the middle boxes first to give me some ideas about the common word. In summary, you may need to change the age range and the puzzles to a higher level in order to keep adults challenged and playing. ✓ Good game with one major flawI enjoy the challenge and played it often but discovered the “multi-player” button takes you to a completely separate version of the game. I invited friends to play and now have two versions of the game going with separate scores. That’s one issue but the bigger issue is that I paid to remove adds discovered it only removed them from the app version and not the other one. The only way to access the other one is either from inside Facebook, which doesn’t display correctly on my screen, or from inside FB messenger. There no reason to download or buy the app when I the notifications open the FB version that still has ads and a separate score, and the app version doesn’t let me assist my friends. ✓ What’s the deal with puzzle IQ?I used to love this game. So many changes later - I’m about done with it. I’d played for so long I had worked my way to get frequent hints when a puzzle sat unsolved for even a day or two - now that feature seems to have nearly disappeared, which felt like losing a status is built up over a few years. The rules governing hints no longer align with indicators that a user actually would benefit from a hint. I sometimes get a hint within minutes of opening a new puzzle, while other puzzles can sit for weeks with no hint given. That change alone really decreased the enjoyment for me - who mostly plays casually in short spurts just to take a mental break from other things. The latest intro of the Puzzle IQ is completely unnecessary and irritating to me. No way to turn it off. What’s the point of this? Were users begging for a chance to track something called IQ points, which of course don’t really reflect a player’s actual IQ at all? Why add these kind of “features”? ✓ Some fun, but too easy & too many adsThe game is okay. I felt most of the puzzles were too easy. However, the multiplayer mode adds a time component which makes the puzzles a little more challenging. You compete against another play to solve 5 puzzles, moving up or down in the "leagues" depending on if you solve more puzzles than your opponent. The adds in single player mode are much too frequent. It plays a 15-30 second ad every three puzzles. Since most of the puzzles are easy, I spend more time watching ads than playing the game. In the multiplayer mode the ads come every 5 puzzles. I found the frequency of ads in multiplayer mode more tolerable because they coincide with the end of each round of competition..Version: 8.6.1

Honestly, it aggravates me when a developer takes a simple game and keeps adding junk to it. I used to play one game and it was a simple word game and the developer added one thing after another and the game eventually became unplayable. The additions, used to try to make money, took over. It gets ridiculous, some people say it’s after every 3 puzzles, but for me, it’s almost after every single one. AND THE ADS ARE THE SAME, THERE AREN’T ANY OTHER ADS EXCEPT FOR THAT STUPID CUBE PUZZLE GAME. ✓ Ads ruin the gameIf you enjoy being inundated with ads every 2 seconds, then this game is for you. Every 2 or 3 puzzles you do, you’ll be forced to sit through full length ads. You will complete puzzles at about 3-8 second pace, and have to sit through 30 second ads. So this means that you will spend more time in-app watching ads, instead of actually playing the game, close to a 2.5:1 or 3:1 ratio. Also, I hope you like to be constantly bothered to upgrade to premium. This should be a simple game, but instead it is ruined by the over abundance of ads. It’s basically an app where you go to watch ads, and occasionally play a puzzle or two. This is the first review I’ve ever written in my whole life, but I feel so compelled to warn others of this. Oh, and be careful playing offline because those ads will run up your data BIG TIME. So yeah - do not download the app..Version: 56.0

✓ Great Concept! Not Challenging Enough :/I really like this concept! However (and I’m not sure what the target age range is for this game), I found it far too simple to be fun for me. The majority of picture sets were simply 4 pictures of exactly what the answer was. For example: A baseball bat A flying bat A cricket bat A bat hanging upside down ….the answer was “BAT.” I figured the difficulty would increase after the first few puzzles, but it hasn’t gotten any more challenging after roughly 30-40 puzzles. I wish there was an option for Easy, Medium, and Hard mode. In the 30-40 puzzles I played, I’d say 2 or 3 were on the challenging side - which still only took about 30 seconds to solve. If the puzzles DO get more challenging over time, it hasn’t happened quickly enough for me to want to keep playing. Maybe I’m not the intended audience, but if not, maybe a version could be made with a bit more sustenance - a bit like the New York Times crossword! :).Version: 60.36.0

✓ Crashes at Launch but Good Game - UPDATEDI generally use this game each day for the daily challenge and bonus. It crashes (returns to Home Screen) each and every day I launch it. The app is running though and can then be launched again or selected from running apps and it works. It just constantly ‘crashes’ each day. Never used to prior to last 4-5 updates. Developer response was to check iOS was up to date and reboot. Well of course that works because it resets the phone and all the apps. Please fix the crash it’s annoying. ***** UPDATE ***** Still continually crashes even after new update. Update includes cloud sync option so I did this and reinstalled the app and then sync’d progress. Still crashes every day on launch!!!!.Version: 61.1.4
