✓ Works Great, Never had a problemI have been using PayPal for many many years now. Never a Problem with them or the PayPal app. The card reader I use with my apple iPad has never had any issues. Customers Credit Cards did though. Not enough money. Lol. So if you have a problem, look at your device or your internet provider. Not the PayPal App or card reader. I just have the old free reader that plugs in the head phone spot. Haven’t even had a problem with it taking a chipped card. Money is in my account before the customer leaves. I logged a complaint and received a response after a very short time. They indicated they were aware of the problem and working to resolve it. after only 3 days, the sales UI had returned to its functional state. ✓ Seems more stableMy business was one of the first in the nation to use square, and we stuck with them happily until the quarantine shut us down for good. Starting a new business, we decided to give PayPal Here a try. While it could never have replaced square in our old multi-unit chain, for a scaled down start up it does enough. It does seem to glitch out significantly less often than Square, but I assume that’s the trade off for significantly fewer features. My option items are listed alphabetically and if I add anything new I have to delete everything and start over to get those one or two items in correct order. ✓ Works perfectly after long setupFor those that are complaining that it's useless, you need to actually go to the website and apply for access to this app. I had problems setting up but I just rang paypal's customer service line and they helped me through the process of activating my paypal here account. I live in Australia and it only took 1 day for approval until I was ready to use the app. It's a complete lifesaver if you have a business without an eftpos machine especially at a market or festival event. People usually don't carry enough cash so this is an awesome alternative because they can use their credit cards to pay and it's 100% secure. I still haven't got a credit card reader but my customers don't mind. You can order a reader on eBay or wait for the new ones which I am doing since it looks nicer than the first reader..Version: 1.3.6
✓ Like it but I wish....We use this app to manage and take payment for concessions for our booster program. We are run by volunteers so it is a different person taking orders every time. I like that it is easy to use and doesn’t need much explanation but wish I could store more than one menu at a time; we do not always serve the same items at each event. I went to a scan method to make transactions go faster and love that I can store the barcodes but hate that I have to recreate my menu for every event. It would make it much easier if I could store items in the app and pull them up to create my menus. Maybe there is an update in the future that will fix this. Otherwise this is a great app for us, people don’t carry much cash anymore and i felt like we were losing sales before we started taking the debit and credit. As good or better than any of the Aussie bank apps doing the same thing. I'm glad I persisted. ✓ This app is pretty amazing and has made massive improvementsSo I figured as this app has no reviews or ratings I would start it off. PayPal contacted me a while back and wanted me and my business to be one of the first to try this along with the card reader. When I tried it it was to be honest terrible. The card reader didn't work at all. A while after I tried it again and WOW some huge improvements have been made to this app. It really works well. We recently took it to an expo with an iPad mini. It worked like a charm every time. The customers were amazed and the other exhibitor were jealous as they were paying crazy fees to have the proper machines to take payments. This is actually quicker than using one of those machines. Simply pop in the amount or choose the product (you can add in you own products and product combos) swipe the card and let them sign on the screen and boom it's done. ✓ SO much better than Square!!I have been using Pay Pal for a about 16 months and really like it. Transactions go through with no problem and the money is in my account before the customer leaves my store!! Once I learned that keeping the reader charging will help it to connect with no problem and then stay connected, it seems run well with no glitches or hang ups. There is one thing that happens that I can’t decide if this it is an app problem or an iPad problem. It goes along fine for hours and then suddenly the reader looses it’s connection and I have to reset the iPad. I don’t use my phone often enough to know if it has the same issue. I am just now setting up the checkout feature. I have run across a few things I can’t figure out how to set up, but I am just beginning and if I can’t figure it out, I am not afraid to call Customer Support. (I was using an old iPad but it won’t register the chip card reader.) Discount - applies to the whole total. So if I do a service (no tax) and a retail (tax) it takes the discount off the whole total - lowering the sales tax. Wish you could select which item gets the discount. I wish that it had some more features, like being able to accept multiple payment types per transaction (like partial cash payment, and then the rest on a card). And I wish there was an option to discount only one line item instead of the entire transaction, or to be able to do multiple discounts if one item is 25% off and another is 50% off. However, the differences between the iOS & tabletOS are odd. The tablet has an option for creating a specific set of items that you want displayed, the phone does not. It would be nice if you could create multiple sets of item lists to have available for different venues. I would also like to see the cash option come back to the fore when presenting payment options. I get that PayPal doesn’t make $ on those transactions, but don’t making usability difficult. Lastly, I would also like to see the list of checkout items come back to the fore as well. Hiding them behind the available items is not helpful..Version: 3.9.1

Turning everything on and off in a busy shop doesn’t work.
