✓ 🔊Party-Up 🔊 does Work Great (just need to have good line of site)I’ve had two MegaBOOMs for years & they work great together! They work great as long as there isn’t anything significant blocking your iPhone/ iPad and the 1st Connected Speaker & then from the 1st to 2nd Speaker! (the signal seems to go from the Device to one Speaker & then to the Next Speaker - daisy-chain) People, it’s Bluetooth after all - which isn’t nearly as robust as WiFi for transmitting signals! Sometimes the App does get confused if you disconnect by going far away from the Speaker(s). Again issues are more from the inadequacies of Bluetooth than this App! I find the BEST PRACTICE is to Turnoff the Speakers via the App & then Quit the App (it seems like if you keep the App open, it’ll try to connect to the Speakers - which can get the app confused 🤔)..Version: 7.6.3

✓ Much better nowWorks fine, I can use the remote on/off function with the new update. In fact it’s the only reason I’m writing this review, it finally works! Not sure about the other people complaining about it being confusing because it’s a very simple layout? I did have to manually connect the speaker and phone ONCE after the update, now I can do it all through my phone. The only things missing is alarms which tbh, I’m not fussed about. People need to learn to use technology before leaving bad reviews. It’s all there, just looks a little different.Version: 7.0.8

✓ Great product, lovely design and decent sound for the moneyI wanted a convenient portable speaker for my iPad and smartphone. I bought the UE Boom more or less on the basis of the design rather than comparing the sound quality against the competition at a similar price level. Removing the device from its beautiful cylindrical packaging is a pleasure in itself. Nice rubberised casing, with colour coordinated flash + or - to control volume. It looks like a little relay baton but has a great solid weight and feel. It works straight out of the box. I used it first to make a skype call to my daughter in distant Georgia (the country) and the sound enhancement was great. Music reproduction is good but perhaps could do with a tad more bass on rock numbers. Great for soundtracks on movies. All in all this is a good product and I'm very happy with it. ✓ Should add a widget or Siri integrationThe app is great and works as it says but sometimes it has trouble with my Boom 2 and that's why I'm giving it four stars and also a widget or Siri integration would be good so you don't have to load the app to turn the speaker on you could do it from the notification drawer or just say "hey Siri, turn Salerd (my speakers name) on" and it turns on but apart from the issues sometimes it's a great app.Version: 4.4

✓ Best portable speaker, solid application.The UE portable speakers are by far and away the best bang for your buck in their class. As someone who has owned one over 3 years now and used this application the entirety of that time I can tell you most other reviews here are totally out lunch. The party up feature works flawlessly and you can easily use the app to remotely power up or down your speaker with ease, otherwise if that doesn’t appeal to you you really don’t need the application to enjoy your UE speaker..Version: 7.6.3
✓ Great control, poor alarmThe app provides great control over your music and pairing with other devices. The alarm is also quite cool as it turns on the speaker remotely to wake you up. However, you cannot set it to weekdays. Only everyday or once off. Thus it has to be set every night which is annoying as. Other than that it’s great.Version: 6.1.96

✓ Great speaker, great app, annoying animationsFor someone who frequently listens to both podcast and music, changing the EQ can be really bothersome when you have to let all the animations play through to change a setting. ✓ Alarm feature is back ❤️💙I got the first UE boom when it came out and also have a UE Boom 2, having control to both on one phone makes everything so much easier. My biggest downside to the app was an update taking away the alarm feature which I relied on to wake me up, needing to use my iPod touch to use the alarm feature as I did not update the app to keep the feature, bringing the feature back to this update makes it so much better, thank you. ✓ Awesome Partying abilityLove the speakers. Ability to link them and party is awesome. I have an Apple TV and would like to be able to link my speakers while watching the Apple TV. I can do it a bit difficultly with my phone first but then I can’t set the surround sound - So short of it, Make an Apple TV app; make them Dolby or atoms capable and boom!! Whole nother market. ✓ App does the job, Megaboom 3 speaker is disappointingThis app works OK (hence the 4 star rating) including the equaliser function, but the Megaboom 3 Speaker itself is a disappointment compared to the old classic UE Boombox I have. When your marketing material claims "Thundering Bass" which turns out to be no where near to that of the old speaker (despite playing with the equalizer in the App), then to me, there's a real problem. ✓ Don’t now wye everyone has problems with this appThe pairing works fine but sometimes I need to try a second time. NEVER have I need to try more than 2 times unless the battery is dead. Works great. I have my UE Boom 2 since the lounch a long time a go. Yes they do uncharged if I don’t use them but in like 20 mins it is fully charged up again. If you have issues with the top tapp on the uebooms then in the app you can troubleshoot it in like 10 seconds. Get this app if you have even like the first gen speaker. Great speakers I can recommend strongly. Yes they are pricey but so worth it.👍😍.Version: 7.6.3
✓ Works well, be patient with updates.This works as expected; pairs nicely with my own one, can easily create a multi-boom sound system with other people’s, and can easily customise certain aspects in the settings. ✓ Lost alarm featureI’ve had a boom and then a boom 2. The speaker generally plays music fine. But one of my main uses is as an alarm- waking me to my choice of music- after initially working well, subsequent updates meant the alarm became glitchy and often chose to override my chosen music, preferring to randomly choose for itself! But rather than fixing the issues UE seem just to have dumped the alarm feature on the latest update! Come on UE - try a bit harder - I bought this with the understanding it had this feature - bring it back!!.Version: 7.0.8
✓ Finally a big updateApp used to be useless, clunky and broken. Couldn’t remote power on UE BOOM 2 even though my original boom had it before upgrade. This update brings back that functionality and actually works. ✓ Works well, also in StereoThe main reason why I bought the small Logitech (1st generation) instead of Bose was the capability to listen to any of my songs at any place in stereo and of course the sound quality was very good for such small speaker. Version 5.1: First I updated both speakers individually (I had to do this twice with one of them) and then I disconnected one of them from the Bluetooth connection so that just one of them is getting the data directly from my iPhone 7. Now I can connect this one speaker, start my music, add the second speaker, and can also use them in stereo mode. Very easy, fast and reliable. Again, the key was to disconnect one of the two from the Bluetooth communication since they talk directly between each other. Well done Logictec!.Version: 5.1
✓ Outstanding SpeakerI have a pair of the UE Boom speakers and love them. They are water resistant (I take one in the bathroom while I shave or shower). They also have a standard tripod thread input on the bottom so you can mount them on an inexpensive point and shoot tripod. There is never any guessing about battery charge; just press the up and down volume buttons simultaneously and a verbal response tells you the exact charge level. These are Bluetooth speakers (not Airplay) but with the UE boom APP you have the ability to use two speakers; both stereo or one as left channel and one as right channel. Amazing! And I forgot to mention the these jewel have a 15 hour battery for all day fun. They are cylindrical in shape and put out music 360 degrees. The come in a variety of colors to match your taste. They feel solid when you hold them. You know that the build quality is good. Try them out. You will not be disappointed.Version: 2.5

✓ Party up works!Bought a second speaker to use party up and it works. I have two UE megaboom 3 speakers. You literally just add the speaker by dragging and dropping the speaker next to your one in the app. Not sure what these other reviews are about but I don’t think those people investigated it thoroughly enough. ✓ Works fineI am not getting the issues that other recent reviews have mentioned. It is a simple app but does the job. Audio more than ok for most of us every day audiophiles. If you want high quality then look elsewhere. No sign of battery drain - my speaker not used in a week and still 100%. ✓ Minimal and usefulI appreciate the interface, providing an easy way to access and tweak main functions of the speakers. I haven’t tried pairing yet, but the icons are easy to find and convey the message that I can at some point. The minimal approach is effective, and there seems to be an update implementing the on / off function - addressing feedback from a user. ✓ Best speakers ever!!!I own the wonderboom 2 speaker some people don’t actually know how to treat nicely there speakers like some people said there speaker is glitchy because YOU DONT TREAT IT RIGHT its some times glitchy because it is low on battery or you may have dropped it in water like my older brother did with his speaker so he traded it for a other wonderboom 3 the sad part is you cant use the app for the wonderboom 2 speaker and it lasts for a good period of time so i never have to actually worry about it dying for its 13 hour battery its small portable and i love the outdoor mode because i love camping hiking biking so this speaker has the same efficiency for those types of environment so these speakers are THE BEST if you just treat them RIGHT!!!.Version: 7.6.3
✓ IPhone X update did NOT fix the screen sizing!I love my UE BOOM 2 and the app is amazing. But, I recently saved for an iPhone X and got it. The app sizing for it was horrible! ✓ Loving itApp is such a great accompaniment to my new megaboom 3. Really enhances the functionality of your speaker. Had a few connection issues with the speaker when it was new, but all the bugs seem to have been ironed out, and everything is like clockwork now. I just wish you could bring back the battery icon next to the headphone symbol that appears when you are connected, I loved that feature on my old boom 2. ✓ Triple up?Hey guys, the new update looks great and has some cool features, however we need to be able to remote turn on 2 speakers for a double up. Also with the new UE MEGABOOM, I would absolutely love to purchase it but I can only double up, so this means I will still have one UE boom left out. So if you guys can work on getting a 'Triple up' for all the people who already have 2 UE Booms and want to purchase this amazing MEGABOOM to connect with them for a lot more Bass, that would be amazing and I would definitely go get my hands on the Megaboom. ✓ ImprovementsI highly recommend that a night mode is implemented as the bright white is not nice on the eyes, especially at night, in anyway whatsoever. Even a possible timer feature at automatically turns off your speaker would also be incredibly useful. ✓ Best speakers out thereI have no issues, been using for years. Got a megaboom recently that my 2 boom2’s are “sticky’ed too” & never looked bad. Only suggestion would be to select which sounds the speakers make. Hate hearing the max volume sound as I can tell when it’s not getting louder. ✓ Not CompatibleThis is a great app - you can adjust the EQ of the speaker, connect it to other booms and collaborate them easily, the one touch playlist is great and you can even use alarms, but compatibility with Shortcuts and Siri would be great. ✓ This works so much better for voiceover users.Finally after a year or two of waiting, this app works almost perfectly with voiceover again. I love the fact that I can turn on and off my speakers from my iPhone. I also like the fact that I can rename my speakers without having to ask a sighted person for help. Thank you for the completely redesigned and mostly voiceover friendly update. I am editing this update a little bit. I now have both a BOOM and a Boom 2 speaker. I followed instructions for the double up and party up features, but it doesn’t work. The firmware on both speakers is up-to-date. Also, the party up feature is completely inaccessible to voiceover users. The way that you have it set up for a user to drag the speaker into some kind of drawer does not work because voiceover does not announce that there is a drawer at all..Version: 7.2.0

✓ Found a Fix for Non-Connection to App!With recent updates, my Boom 2 wld still connect to iPhone but never be recognized by the app. Tried a bunch of things (forget device settings, delete/reinstall app, whispering sweet nothings, waterboarding, etc.), got frustrated, even reset it to factory settings. Nothing worked & now my Boom 2 also had old firmware...Arggh!! Contacted UE & got a fix. Listed below are the EXACT steps I took, in order (hope it works for you): -"Forget this device" in Bluetooth settings (can't recall if I did this before or after the next step; probably shldn't matter) -Updated my iPhone iOS -Uninstalled/deleted Boom app -Reinstalled Boom app -Reset speaker to factory (even tho I already did): Boom shld be on; hold "volume down" + "power" button simultaneously until you hear weird sounds; device will turn off. -Opened app, selected my device (Boom/Boom 2), went to phone BT settings, turned on Boom 2, held pairing button until it started flashing/pair mode -Connected to Boom 2 -Returned to app (I DID NOT use the multitasking swipe, but instead found the app & opened it manually, to avoid potential glitches) -Boom was connected to app, all is good in the world Best of luck!.Version: 7.2.4
✓ App and speaker errorMy UE Boom 2 is connected to my phone and I would be playing music but when I access the app it says "Let's hook up" even tho I am already connected and there is no other option to access or look for my boom 2. I can sometimes turn my UE Boom 2 with the UE Boom app but when I reopen the app the same problem as the I stated occurs with no solution in sight (on the app users side). Regardless of the lack of connectivity/communication between the app and speaker , the speaker is remarkable great sound , amazing all around there is some static sound when the volume is all the way which can distort the music but lowering the volume a few notches rids it of the static noise. In conclusion I'm giving it 5 stars due to the speaker quality but it'll be a strong 3 and weak 4 stars for the app unless the connection is solved for a more efficient use of both the app and speakers..Version: 5.1
✓ One App for Boom & Megaboom awesome Sept 2018The app refresh is great. Instead of 2 apps, one each for boom and megaboom now there is one. And it is a huge improvement including the ability to use an equaliser. The app connects to the prime speaker that you have connected via the phone Bluetooth. Then other speakers can connect via the app and the prime speaker. We have three connected in our house and it works brilliantly. Megaboom 3 as the prime speaker and 2 booms as subsidiary speakers. When I travel I take one of the booms with me and can use it for conference calls with several people around the table. Good job on the update UE..Version: 7.0.8

After restarting phone & speaker multiple times and deleting and re-adding the app multiple times, and re-pairing multiple times, the app is doing what I need it to do now. ✓ Adjusting to new AppLike many of the commenters of recent to the latest App version, I too spent in excess of 3 hours trying everything to get my 2 UE Booms to double up, without any joy and with ever growing animosity towards Logitech. As long as your speakers are up to date with the latest firmware, as well as your App, it's all really very simple to get them hooked up again in stereo. With both connected to Bluetooth and on the 1 Up Speaker playing page, just swipe up the speaker showing with the ? mark at the bottom of the page and presto - you now have 2 speakers playing and you have the option of Double or Stereo. ✓ Brilliant systemThis is definitely the best portable Bluetooth speaker and app setup on the market. Before purchasing the Boom I read and watched countless reviews and comparisons to other brands and today gave in and bought one. App works seamlessly with the speakers and it's very user friendly. Glad the update is available with EQ controls as the bass response does need to be tweaked a little bit. One other update to the APP that I think could easily be done is the ability to use your phone as a microphone for the speaker, This could turn the boom into an almost portable PA system and would have even more uses.
